My flight was canceled, and when I came home early, a woman in my robe greeted me, saying, ‘You’re the realtor, right?’

0

I was on my way to the airport, yet another exhausting business trip, but the flight got canceled. The announcement said weather issues and some technical delays. There was no timeline, so instead of rebooking, I decided to return home.

I didn’t tell my husband because we weren’t on great terms lately. It was supposed to be a surprise and a weekend that already felt overdue. In the past weeks, we’d been passing each other like strangers, so I thought spending some time together would help our relationship. But boy, I was so wrong.

The moment I opened the front door, a woman wearing my robe greeted me. “You must be the realtor,” she said.

“What the hell is going on,” I thought to myself. “Am I dreaming?”

But no, that woman standing in front of me couldn’t be any more real.

I tried to play along and see what was going on.

“Yes, I am the realtor,” I said.

As I walked into my own home, my heart started pounding. There was no single photo of Ethan and I. Instead, there was one of him and that woman taken the previous summer, when he claimed there was an emergency at work and he needed to be away for a week.

There were also flowers in a vase I’ve never seen before. Since when did Ethan became so romantic as to buy flowers?

“So, how long have you two been married?” I asked as politely as I could without snapping right there and then.

“Oh, we aren’t married, actually, just engaged,” the woman said.

She then led me towards the bedroom and told me her man was in the shower, apologizing for the timing mix up.

At that moment, Ethan got out of the shower. “Babe, did you…” and then he saw me and froze.

For a moment, his face went pale, then he recovered. “Oh,” he said. “You’re early.”

The woman looked confused. “Honey? You know the realtor?”

I smiled, closing my folder. “Yes. We know each other very well.”

Ethan tried to speak, but I didn’t let him.

“I’m sorry, this is awkward,” the woman said.

“No need,” I said. “These things happen when paperwork overlaps.”

I then started asking questions about the apartment. She explained that it was Ethan’s, but they were in a hurry to sell it so that they could get a bigger house together.

My husband put the apartment on the market without me being aware of it. What more, it was my apartment. The deed was on my name, but he forged my signature on the preliminary documents.

When Ethan returned after taking some time to get dressed, I got up and said, “I’ve seen enough. I’ll be in touch.”

At the door, I turned to the woman who introduced herself as Lily and said, “And one more thing. Can you check the deed? Just to confirm the owner’s name.”

Ethan snapped, “That’s not necessary.”

Lily frowned. “Why not?”

“Because it’s only in my name,” I said. “By the way, I’m Ethan’s wife.”

I left the place before Ethan could say another word.

Within days, my lawyer halted the sale. The forged documents were now evidence and Lily sent me everything, emails, messages, recordings of Ethan promising her a future he didn’t have.

She left him that same week.

Ethan begged, then threatened, and eventually, he went silent.

When his boss learned what he did, he lost his job and was now both jobless and homeless. Probably exactly what he deserved to be.

Lily and I met again. There were no hard feelings. She was simply lied to by the man I believed was my whole world. Luckily, he is now no longer part of my life.

Katy Perry’s appearance at World Economic Forum stirs rumors

0

Canada’s former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended the World Economic Forum, a high-level policy event that attracts political figures from around the world, accompanied by his new girlfriend, singer Katy Perry.

The couple were photographed walking hand-in-hand, and despite Perry looking every bit the part next to a former prime minister, her appearance at the Swiss forum surprised many, as the event usually attracts political leaders and global decision-makers rather than pop stars.

Trudeau, who separated from his wife of 18 years in 2023, was dressed in a navy suit and patterned tie, while Perry kept things understated in a beige buttoned sweater and pencil skirt, paired with a sleek low bun and bold gold earrings.

The Canadian Press

It didn’t come as a surprise that the power couple sent social media buzzing, especially after dating rumors first emerged in July 2025 following a dinner date in Montreal.

People were quick to share their thoughts on the couple and Perry attending the event, with one person writing, “Katy Perry at World Economic Forum, I am crying.” Another added, “Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry attending Davos tells you everything about this annual event.”

A third person wrote, “What a strange timeline because what do you mean Katy Perry is attending a political forum in Switzerland.”

Someone observed, “Not Katy having that concerned first lady look in her face!”

The Canadian Press

During his appearance at the World Economic Forum, Trudeau addressed the influence of soft power in geopolitics. He referred to Ukraine’s stance against Russia’s invasion as “soft power in action,” saying Canada’s support underscores its dedication to an international rules-based order.

“Never underestimate the resolve, the motivation and strength of people standing up to defend their sovereignty, their identity, their very existence,” he said.

Katy Perry’s ex-husband, Russell Brand, also commented on her new relationship. He made the remarks while attending a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix, Arizona.

He said, “I love her still, and I’m glad that her mom’s in the room to hear me say this, but look. I was okay with Orlando Bloom, but Justin Trudeau? C’mon, man! Don’t put me in a category with that guy! That globalist stooge.”

I secretly bathed my paralyzed father-in-law behind my husband’s back—and a mark on his body revealed a hidden truth from my past

0

Lucía’s life with her husband Daniel Herrera was a beautiful one. They lived in an elegant home in Querétaro, along with his father, Don Rafael Herrera, an elderly man who suffered a stroke and couldn’t take care of himself any longer.

He was a kind man Lucía respected and admired, and seeing him being as vulnerable as he was broke her heart. She always offered her help, but her husband told her not enter his father’s room since the nurse they hired was there to look after him.

When Lucía questioned Daniel’s request, he simply answered that his father didn’t want her to see him being vulnerable, so she agreed.

However, while Daniel was out of town, Lucía received a message from Enrique, the nurse. He said he had been involved in a motorcycle accident and needed to stay at the hospital for a couple of days. It wasn’t anything serious, but still, he was treated for some minor injuries.

Lucía went to her father-in-law’s room. Don Rafael was uncomfortable, but he couldn’t speak. “She approached him “My God, I can’t leave him like this,” Lucía said to herself. She knew Daniel would be angry, but still, she decided to listen to her heart. So, she prepared warm water, clean towels, and fresh clothes. “Don’t worry, sir. I’m here. No one should go through this alone.”

When Lucía removed Don Rafael’s shirt to clean his back, she froze.

Among the scars on the shoulder of her father-in-law there was a symbol of a tragedy she tried hard to forget, a tattoo of an eagle holding a rose.

Twenty years earlier, the orphanage where Lucía lived caught on fire and she would nearly die had it not been for a good Samaritan who entered the building building, wrapped her in a wet blanket, and took her out to safety. Before she lost consciousness, she could see the man’s tattoo, an eagle holding a rose, exactly the same as the one her father-in-law had on his shoulder.

When she woke up in the hospital, she asked about the man, but they told her he only took her there and left without revealing his name.

Lucía touched Don Rafael’s scars. “Was it you… who saved me?” she asked through tears. The old man only closed his eyes slowly as though he tried to say “Yes.”

Lucía hurried to call her husband. “Your dad…” she said, barely able to speak.

“What’s wrong with my dad?” Daniel asked.

“Why didn’t you tell me? Your father is the man who saved my life when I was a child!”

“You went into his room…” he whispered.

“I saw the scars! I saw the tattoo! Why did you hide this from me?”

Daniel then explained that it was his father’s decision. In fact, Don Rafael saw Lucía from afar from the moment he saved her life, making sure she never got into any sort of trouble. And then, when she and Daniel started dating, he didn’t want her to love his son for feeling gratitude for what his father had done. It was as simple as that.

Lucía returned to Don Rafael’s room and said, “Thank you for giving me a second life.”

Tragic details emerge as top lawyer is identified among six victims in horrific plane crash

0

A private Bombardier Challenger 600 carrying six to eight people crashed while attempting to take off from Bangor International Airport in Maine on Sunday evening, around 7:45 p.m., during a major snowstorm, Independent reported.

Initial FAA reports suggested seven people were killed and one seriously injured, but Bangor Airport later stated that no one from the flight was transported to a hospital and all on board are presumed dead.

Poor visibility due to the winter storm may have contributed to the crash. The plane reportedly came to rest inverted and caught fire. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating, with local authorities providing updated information on the passenger manifest.

Air traffic control recordings captured a chilling alert: “Aircraft upside down. We have a passenger aircraft upside down,” as emergency crews rushed to the scene.

Among the passengers was prominent Texas lawyer Tara Arnold, a powerhouse attorney and partner at the Houston-based law firm Arnold & Itkin.

Tara was traveling with her husband, Kurt Arnold, event planner Shawna Collins, 53, and four other people, including the pilot, whose identities have not been revealed.

Tara was “a phenomenal person, a bold leader, and someone with a heart of service. My heart is with Kurt, their children, and everyone affected,” local Texas lawmaker and close family friend Lesley Briones said.

She added: “Tara was very involved in Precinct 4 and our nonprofit, Precinct 4 Forward. She had such a big heart and was deeply devoted to public service. I can’t imagine the loss her family is feeling.”

According to the New York Post, Tara lived with her two children and her ”mega-wealthy” husband in a Houston mansion.

Shawna Collins’ daughter shared that her mother had been excited about the upcoming business trip to Europe. Collins had also been a longtime employee at Lakewood Church in Houston. “Everyone adored her. She had a personality that just drew people in,” church spokesperson Donald Iloff Jr. told The Associated Press.

The pilot, 47-year-old Houston native Jacob Hosmer, also died in the crash. Hosmer had joined Arnold & Itkin just seven months ago as a “team captain,” according to his LinkedIn profile. His father, Gary Hosmer, told Click2Houston, “He’s in Heaven now with Jesus.” Friends remembered Jacob as “an excellent pilot, a devoted husband, and a dedicated father,” noting his cheerful personality.

Bangor Airport will remain closed until at least Wednesday while the NTSB investigates the crash.

Authorities are asking the public to share any surveillance footage or information that could help.

Trump slams new poll after shock approval ratings revealed

0

Trump’s first year back at the White House hasn’t been an easy one. He and his administration have faced plenty of criticism. Among the rest, during the presidential campaign, Trump promised the public he would release files related to convicted sex offender Epstein, who killed himself while awaiting trial in federal prison, if he takes office for the second time. So, when Trump indeed returned to the White House for his second presidential term, he fulfilled his promise, but only partially since just a tiny portion of those files were released.

Namely, the Department of Justice claimed there was ‘no basis’ to release further files, with the FBI claiming there was no ‘client list’ or any indications that Epstein used such client list to blackmail prominent individuals.

Further, the public criticized Trump’s latest decision to express a desire to take Greenland, despite it being a Danish territory.

He has also come under fire for his handling of immigration enforcement, foreign policy decisions, and broader concerns about transparency and follow-through on key campaign pledges.

The latest killings of two people, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, by ICE agents only added fuel to the fire and triggered demonstrations and protests that quickly spread from Minneapolis to other cities across the United States.

Joe Raedle/Getty Images

Now it turns out that the latest polls show many Americans aren’t happy with the job the president has done so far.

A January AP-NORC poll found that 59 percent of US adults disapprove of Trump’s performance as president. Only 40 percent said they approve. The poll was conducted through January 8, 2026.

The survey also looked at how Americans view Trump’s handling of major issues, with disapproval outweighing approval across the board. Just 37 percent approved of his performance on the economy, compared with 62 percent who disapproved. On immigration, 38 percent approved while 61 percent disapproved, and foreign policy and trade negotiations showed the same split, with 37 percent approval and 61 percent disapproval. The AP-NORC poll noted a margin of error and variations among groups, while other polls have reported similar results.

A New York Times poll conducted with Siena University put Trump’s approval rating at about 40 percent, with most respondents expressing dissatisfaction with the economy and the overall direction of the country.

REUTERS via NewYork Post

More recent surveys place Trump’s approval at 45 percent in the Wall Street Journal and 41 percent in a Reuters/Ipsos poll, with RealClearPolitics averaging him at 42 percent approval and 55 percent disapproval. His rating has stayed below 50 percent since last March.

Trump has called the results “fake and fraudulent polling,” criticizing both the media and pollsters, while support among Republicans remains strong and Democratic opposition stays firm.

“Fake and Fraudulent Polling should be, virtually, a criminal offense. As an example, all of the Anti Trump Media that covered me during the 2020 Election showed Polls that were knowingly wrong;” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “They knew what they were doing, trying to influence the Election, but I won in a Landslide, including winning the Popular Vote, all 7 of the 7 Swing States, the Electoral College was a route, and 2,750 Counties to 525. You can’t do much better than that, and yet if people examined The Failing New York Times, ABC Fake News, NBC Fake News, CBS Fake News, Low Ratings CNN, or the now defunct MSDNC, Polls were all fraudulent, and bore nothing even close to the final results.”

 Alex Wong/Getty Images

The president continued, “Something has to be done about Fraudulent Polling. Even the Polls of FoxNews and The Wall Street Journal have been, over the years, terrible! There are great Pollsters that called the Election right, but the Media does not want to use them in any way, shape, or form. Isn’t it sad what has happened to American Journalism, but I am going to do everything possible to keep this Polling SCAM from moving forward!”

You are giving up one comfort forever — what would it be? Your answer reveals what kind of person you are

0

Imagine you are given the ultimatum of giving up one comfort forever? What would it be? And no, this isn’t just another quiz but a psychological trap hiding behind a cozy game.

The options are a hot shower, a soft pillow, morning coffee, a warm blanket, car riders, and the smell of freshly done laundry? Choose one and see what it says about what kind of person you really are.

Hot Showers

Not many people are ready to give up hot showers, well, except those who enjoy bathing in colder water. If this is the comfort you’ll likely cross out of the list of comforts it means you are a firm believer that discomfort is part of building character. You probably claim you “actually like cold weather” while everyone else is miserable. You’re strong, slightly unhinged, and definitely not someone who should be trusted with the thermostat.

Soft Pillow

Getting rid of the soft pillow doesn’t only mean that you don’t have troubles sleeping on planes, busses, or trains, but it also means you are a resilient person who favors efficiency over comfort. Just don’t forget that your neck won’t be happy about this choice.

Morning Coffee

Who doesn’t want to start their morning with a cup of freshly brewed coffee? I know I do. But if giving up this comfort is your first choice, you probably have plenty of energy without a boost and are likely a morning person who doesn’t hate the world the moment you get out of bed.

Warm Blanket

If you give up the warm blanket, you are brave and like freedom. You aren’t someone who wants to be “trapped” by the things around you, and you’re not comfortable being too comfortable.

Car Rides

Some people love the hum of the engine, but if you’d happily give it up, it probably means you’d rather stretch your legs, feel the pavement under your feet, and take life at your own pace. Also, this means you are an introvert and a thinker who values silence.

Fresh Laundry Smell

If this is what you let go, congratulations, you’re chaotic neutral. You don’t really care about “clean” but about function. Clothes straight from the dryer? Nice, but unnecessary. This choice means you are practical, efficient, and maybe even a little robotic (no judgement).

So, which one did you choose?

She heard a dog crying in the mountains at night — went to investigate and found something incredible

0

This story is all about humanity at its’ finest. It melted the hearts of many because it showed the lengths one stranger was willing to go in order to save someone’s dog.

Chloe is a 14-year-old canine who got lost recently. She and a neighboring dog left their houses and embarked on an adventure.

Days later, the other dog returned home, but Chloe was nowhere to be seen. Her owners looked for her everywhere, but to no avail.

The family lives on the east side of Mount Bross in Colorado, so many believed Chloe got lost there in the mountain, and after some hikers said how they heard barking while in the woods, it was very likely Chloe was indeed there.

When a woman named Trinity Smith read on Facebook how Chloe could be trapped on the mountain, she decided to investigate. When she hiked up the mountain, she could hear the barking herself, but getting to the dog wasn’t easy so she decided to get back the following day together with her boyfriend, Sean Nichols.

The next day, Trinity and Sean spend around 4 hours on the mountain, but there was no sign of Chloe. And just when they wanted to give up their search for the day, they heard a faint bark.

“I started to give up, thinking she hadn’t made it through the night,” Trinity told CBS News. “Then (I heard) that little bark, and the adrenaline started going again.”

Luckily, they managed to find Chloe who was all scared and exhausted. She had spent six weeks all alone, it was a real miracle she was alive.

“We got her!!!!” Trinity posted on Facebook after finding Chloe. “After hours and hours of yelling and climbing Sean Nichols & I finally brought this sweet, scared, hungry girl down to safety. The poor baby was stuck up there for over a month. After coming back down with her, Chloe’s owners were patiently waiting to see if this was their dog that they had been missing for 6 weeks who had ran off with another neighborhood pup. They assumed after a month of searching that their 13-year-old baby was gone forever.”

During the long time on that mountain, Chloe lost a lot of weight, but the good thing is that she’s now home and recovering from the traumatic experience all thanks to Trinity.

Blind Side star Quinton Aaron on life support following hospitalization

0

Actor Quinton Aaron, the Blind Side star, has been hospitalized after he collapsed at his home. Aaron, 41, was climbing the stair when he suddenly lost feeling in his legs, TMZ reported. He was then rushed to the hospital.

The actor has been diagnosed with a blood infection and has since been placed on life support.

However, he is reported to be breathing partially on his own, giving his family hopes for his recovery.

“He’s showing a lot of improvement. We all have faith in God that he will walk out of here fully recovered,” his wife Margarita said, describing her husband as a “fighter.”

A GoFundMe page set to help the family offered an update on Monday, writing, “Quinton has opened his eyes and has some feeling in his foot! He is still on life support and going through tests. We are looking at quite a recovery time and will need a wheelchair when he is released while he goes through therapy to walk again. Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers.”

Previously, the page described the situation as “sudden, frightening, and overwhelming for his loved ones.”

This isn’t the first health scare Aaron has experienced. Back in March 2025, he was admitted to the hospital with a fever and bloody cough, which doctors thought were symptoms of Type A flu and pneumonia. In 2019, he had also experienced severe respiratory issues, including a bronchitis flare-up, but made a complete recovery.

Shutterstock

Quinton Aaron is best known for his portrayal of former NFL star Michael Oher alongside Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side. At the time he auditioned for the role, he was balancing between being an actor and a security guard. He even offered to be hired as a security guard on set had he not gotten the role.

Earning $309 million on a $29 million budget, the movie was a huge financial hit, and though critics gave it mixed reviews, Sandra Bullock’s performance was highly praised and won her an Academy Award for Best Actress.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Quinton Aaron and his family. We wish him speedy recovery.

If your private parts smell fishy, it’s something you should be aware of

0

A lot of women have experienced bad odor coming from their private parts, but that’s not always a reason to worry. In fact, that fishy smell that makes many women rather uncomfortable sometimes happens for no particular reason.

Often, putting on clean underwear after bathing or showering is enough to bring your natural scent back to normal.

However, if the odor doesn’t go away despite good hygiene, or shows up with other unusual symptoms, it may be worth consulting your gynecologist.

If the fishy smell is accompanied with itching, pain, or other unexpected symptoms, it may signal an underlying issue such as bacterial vaginosis.

In fact, this bacteria is the most common reason for a fishy vaginal odor.

Bacterial vaginosis develops when the natural balance of vaginal bacteria shifts. Most common symptoms include thin gray or white discharge, a noticeable fishy odor (often stronger after intercourse), and itching or burning sensations. It needs to be treated with antibiotics.

Another reason that leads to fishy odor can be linked to poor hygiene, trapped sweat, and tight clothing.

Trichomoniasis, a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by a parasite, can also be the cause of the unpleasant smell coming from your private parts. This is treatable with medications, not home remedies.

Leaving a tampon in too long can also cause a powerful rotten odor, sometimes misidentified as fishy.

While the smell usually goes away on its own, it may sometimes stay longer than what is considered normal. In that case, it’s best to have yourself checked for bacteria or other underlying conditions.

Some ways to prevent the fishy smell from happening are maintain good hygiene, most preferably by gently cleaning the external genital area with warm water and mild soap instead of douching, wear cotton underwear, use protection to prevent infections, and avoid scented soaps, sprays, or feminine wipes among the rest.

You can also consider probiotics to maintain healthy vaginal flora if your doctor approves.

Dad with a body fully covered in tattoos decides to transform his appearance – Here’s why

0

Ethan ‘ModBoy’ Bramble, a 24-year-old Australian dad, had his entire body tattooed. Over the years, he has had over 200 tattoos and has undergone surgeries in order to change his appearance.

In fact, Bramble was just 11 when he had underdone his first body modification, during which his ears were stretched. Later on, similar procedures followed, involving those of splitting his tongue and removing his belly button.

While having a tattoo is a meaningful form of personal expression, Bramble realized he had gone too far, but by then, it was too late. His body was already covered in ink when he began to feel remorseful about some of his decisions.

All the tattoos and modifications cost him around $60,000 AUD, or about $39,000 USD.

Appearing on the LadBibleTV’s No Filter series, he shared, “I guess you could say I regret some tattoos. Not just regret, I think there’s a difference between regret and wanting to be perceived differently.”

Bramble opened up about how he feels when people stare, saying he can sense they are judgmental, especially when they see him with his daughter.

“The face is a big thing that can lead to so many – for some people, not everyone – can lead to a lot of problems for yourself, which I probably wouldn’t want my daughter to have to deal with until she was a bit older,” he said. “I wish that I had not gone as hectic as I did on my face.”

“I’ve been getting laser [surgery], or have been, for pretty much 12 months… We do it in sections, but I’ve probably gone over the full thing six or seven times,” he explained.

“I started getting it done because of the anxiety and stuff I was getting… Mental stuff is a funny thing to pin down, but I want to think that a lot of the anxiety was from just having a face full of tattoos.

“I’m happy with the way that I look, but I’m also happy with the mentality that over the next two years, my face tattoos are going to become less and less and less. I’m just clearing the canvas.”

What do you think of this transformation?

Symptoms of deadly virus with no cure and ‘epidemic potential’ as Covid-style checks introduced by airports

0

Health authorities worldwide are on edge amid growing fears of a contagious outbreak of the deadly Nipah virus after five people contracted the illness in West Bengal, India.

Narayan Swaroop Nigam, the principal secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department spoke to The Telegraph about two of those who have been affected, saying, “Two nurses at a private hospital are infected with Nipah virus, and one of them is in critical condition.”

The two nurses started feeling unwell and were admitted to intensive care on January 4 shortly after working together at the hospital between December 28 and 30.

As of January 26, around 100 people have been quarantined in order to try to prevent the spreading of the bat-borne virus, with Thailand, Nepal and Taiwan putting strict health checks in place at airports.

DeFodi Images News / Getty

The World Health Organisation (WHO) classifies the Nipah virus as a priority pathogen due to its potential to trigger an epidemic.

Also, WHO states that the virus’ potential for widespread transmission and its fatality rate range from 40% to 75%, adding that “This rate can vary by outbreak depending on local capabilities for epidemiological surveillance and clinical management.”

The Nipah virus infection often begins with flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle aches, vomiting, and sore throat, and in some cases can progress to respiratory issues including cough, shortness of breath, or pneumonia, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Its most severe and often fatal complication is encephalitis, a swelling of the brain that can cause confusion, seizures, altered consciousness, rapid deterioration, and even coma.

AFP via Getty Images

The virus is zoonotic, meaning it can spread from animals, particularly fruit bats and pigs, to humans, as well as through contaminated food or direct person-to-person contact.

Unlike Covid-19, which had a global mortality rate of around 3.4%, Nipah’s significantly higher fatality rate makes it far more dangerous, and there is currently no vaccine or approved treatment. Symptoms typically appear within four to 21 days, though in rare cases the incubation period can extend much longer.

Speaking to the Cosmopolitan, Dr. Suzanne Wylie explained: “Nipah outbreaks have historically been geographically restricted to parts of Asia, and there is no evidence of sustained transmission outside these areas.”

Woman who filmed Alex Pretti shooting reveals what she saw – confirms the rumors

0

37-year-old Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse, became the second person who tragically lost their life to shooting by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. Pretti’s killing came less then a month after Renee Nicole Good was shot three times while attempting to flee with her vehicle.

US officials took the same stand regarding the tragic incidents, claiming the agents acted in self-defence both times despite footage of the scene showing otherwise.

Why are ICE agents even in Minneapolis to begin with?

Thousands of ICE agents were sent to Minneapolis starting on 5 January, in what the Department of Homeland Security described as the “largest DHS operation ever” in the state of Minnesota. Officials said the purpose of the deployment was to apprehend “fraudsters, murderers, rapists, and gang members.” It has involved hundreds of arrests tied to immigration violations.

The presence of the agents has been criticized by many, including Jacob Frey, the mayor of Minneapolis and a former civil rights attorney.

In a press conference shortly after Renee’s death, Frey demanded that ICE ‘get the f**k out of Minneapolis’, adding: “They are not here to cause safety in this city. What they are doing is not to provide safety in America. What they are doing is causing chaos and distrust.”

As of the killing of Pretti, US officials, including Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, claimed he carried a firearm and ‘wanted to do maximum damage’ and ‘massacre law enforcement.’ President Trump shared a photo of the alleged firearm Pretti had at the time of his death, though many publications wrote he was disarmed by agents and had no gun when his life was cut short.

Footage shared since the tragic incident shows Alex Pretti trying to help two women, holding only his phone, with no firearm in sight.

Pretti was forced to the ground by ICE agents, pepper‑sprayed, and then shot more than ten times. An eyewitness who recorded the shocking encounter on her phone has since given a sworn affidavit describing what she saw, which is now being used as evidence in an ongoing ACLU lawsuit against the Trump administration.

“I decided to check it out on my way to work. I’ve been involved in observing in my community because it is so important to document what ICE is doing to my neighbours,” the woman, whose identity has not been revealed, said.

“It didn’t look like he was trying to resist, just trying to help the woman up. I didn’t see him with a gun. They threw him to the ground.”

“Four or five agents had him on the ground and they just started shooting him. They shot him so many times. I don’t know why they shot him. He was only helping. I was five feet from him and they just shot him.”

“Then he started pepper spraying all three of them directly in the face and all over,” she added. “The man with the phone put his hands above his head and the agent sprayed him again and pushed him.

“The agents pulled the man on the ground. I didn’t see him touch any of them – he wasn’t even turned toward them.”

Another eyewitness of Pretti’s killing said, “The man did not approach the agents with a gun. He approached them with a camera. He was just trying to help a woman get up and they took him to the ground.

“I am disgusted and gutted at how they are treating my neighbours and my state.”

Pretti’s family said they were sick of the lies displayed about their son who was described as an agitator by Trump’s administration.

Barron Trump branded a hero after ‘saving’ woman’s life as she was allegedly beaten by her ex

0

Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, is known for keeping a low profile. Although he grew up surrounded by wealth, he’s widely described as humble and kind, and many believe it is his mother who influenced his character.

Recently, an incident from 2025 involving young Barron emerged on the social media and many praise him for his action of stepping up for someone in need of help. Namely, Barron was on the phone with a woman when her ex-boyfriend, identified as 22-year-old former MMA fighter Matvei Rumiantsev, started beating her, according to the Mirror.

According to an east London court hearing, Barron witnessed the attack while on FaceTime with the woman so he made a call to 999.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Rumiantsev, who denies all charges against him, including assault and two counts of rape, grabbed her by the hair and shoved her to the floor while shouting, “you are not worth anything.”

Barron’s call of the emergency services was played during the court hearing. In it, he could be heard saying, “It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.”

The operator then says, “Can you stop being rude and actually answer my questions… If you want to help the person, you’ll answer my questions clearly and precisely.”

Barron replied: “I met her on social media. She’s getting really badly beat up and the call was about eight minutes ago, I don’t know what could have happened by now,” later adding, “So sorry for being rude.”

A police unit was sent to the home, and bodycam footage later shown in court captured officers questioning the woman.

They informed her that a call had come in from the United States but did not disclose the caller’s identity.

“I am friends with Barron Trump, Donald Trump’s son,” she told the officers.

One police officer was heard telling a colleague: “So apparently this informant from America is likely to be Donald Trump’s son.”

With police at the scene, the woman called Barron back. In video shown to jurors, he is heard saying, “She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something, I just saw a ceiling and could hear screaming. I could see a guy’s head on the phone, and then the camera turns to her crying and getting hit.”

According to The Independent, Barron Trump said the call lasted around 10 to 15 seconds, and as it ended, he dialed 999.

“I called you guys – that was the best thing I could do,” he told officers. “I wasn’t going to call back and threaten things to him because that would just make the situation worse.”

“He helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment, the woman said in court,” according to the Mirror.

The young Trump was praised for his quick-thinking. He truly is an extraordinary young man.

Border Patrol commander praises agents who killed Alex Pretti and offers surprising theory

0

Weeks after the killing on Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, which triggered national outrage and demonstrations, 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti was also killed during an anti-ICE protest on January 24.

As well as with the agent involved in the shooting of Good, who the officials claimed acted in self-defence, President Donald Trump defended Pretti’s shooter too, describing Pretti’s firearm – allegedly pulled from his waistband – as “a very dangerous and unpredictable gun…a gun that goes off when people don’t know it.”

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Trump said, “I don’t like any shooting. I don’t like it.

“But I don’t like it when somebody goes into a protest and he’s got a very powerful, fully loaded gun with two magazines loaded up with bullets also. That doesn’t play good either.”

A footage of the tragic incident showed the 37-year-old Pretti trying to assist a woman who had been shoved into the snow by an agent, before he was pepper-sprayed, taken to the ground, and shot several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to reports, Pretti was carrying a firearm legally, though accounts indicate that he was disarmed by agents before being shot.

His father released an emotional statement, firmly rejecting claims that his son had engaged in any violent actions.

“He cared about people deeply,” he said. “He was very upset with what was happening in Minneapolis and throughout the United States with ICE, as millions of other people are upset.

The father added: “He thought it was terrible, you know, kidnapping children, just grabbing people off the street.”

US Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino blamed the victims, saying, “The suspect put himself in that situation. The victims are the Border Patrol agents there.”

He continued: “I believe that the fantastic training of that our law enforcement partners has prevented any specific shootings of law enforcement. So good job for our law enforcement in taking him down before he was able to do that.”

Asked about the footage that shows Pretti being disarmed before he was killed, Bovino told CNN‘s Dana Bash, “Dana, you don’t know that he was unarmed. I don’t know that he was unarmed. That is freeze frame adjudication of a crime scene via a photo. That is why we have investigators, that is why we have investigation that is going to answer these questions.”

He added: “We don’t know that agent was taking his gun away. The facts are going to come to light. That is why we investigate.”

Bash then noted that his remarks appeared to prejudge the incident, to what Bovino replied, “Well, with respect you say that’s why we investigate, but you’re also drawing other conclusions that sort of fly in the face of waiting for an investigation.”

Bovino’s comments sparked a strong backlash on social media, as critics argued he was shielding the agents despite footage from several angles that appears to show Pretti no longer posed a threat when he was shot.

The controversy even prompted a measured response from President Donald Trump, who told the Wall Street Journal, “We’re looking, we’re reviewing everything and will come out with a determination. I don’t like any shooting. I don’t like it. But I don’t like it when somebody goes into a protest and he’s got a very powerful, fully loaded gun with two magazines loaded up with bullets also. That doesn’t play good either.”

According to The Independent, the public outrage forced officials to remove Bovino from his duties in Minnesota. Trump said he would replace him with his border czar, Tom Homan.

“Tom is tough but fair, and will report directly to me,” the president posted on Truth Social.

Pick a chair and see who forever sits by your side

0

People come and go. During our lifetime, we meet plenty of people, but not all of them are meant to remain part of our life. Some friendships and relationships crumble, and new ones form, and that’s perfectly fine since that’s how life works.

The short quiz below will tell you who truly is there to stay by your side.

Chair 1 – The One Who Never Walks Away

Chair number one, or the rocking chair, represents someone who knew you from the beginning, even before you evolved and changed into the person you are today. They know all of your flaws and virtues and accept you for who you truly are. This person never walks away from you, despite any difficulties that stand on the way of your relationship. This someone could be a childhood friend or a close family member.

Chair 2 – The One Who Carries Life With You

The second chair represent that one person in your life who always takes your side and never fails you, no matter what. In fact, they’d choose you over and over again and are your biggest support.

They love you at your best and at your worst, so make sure you keep them close and never fail their trust.

This person could be your life partner, and someone who built a life and family with you.

Chair 3 – The One Who Never Leaves Because It Is You

Sometimes, the relationship we have with ourselves is the most sacred of all. If you chose chair number three it means you chose yourself and you are that one person who’d never let you down.

After some relationships fail, you actually realize that no one can understand you better than you, and no one can protect you better than yourself.

My husband suddenly insisted on church every Sunday — When I learned why, I filed for divorce

0

During the ten years I was married to Brian, he never expressed any interest in going to church and attending service. And honestly, neither did I. We were simply not raised in religious families and our Sundays were always predictable. It was either cartoons, some movies with our daughter Kiara, 9, or errands if we were up to getting out of the house.

However, that changed out of the blue. My husband insisted on church every Sunday. At first, I thought he was just joking, but no, he was dead serious. When I asked why he expressed such desire all of a sudden, he said he was stressed at work and just needed the calmness the church could offer. Being the wife I was, I agreed.

So, we started attending church. Every Sunday, we would sit in the same pew and exchange polite smiles with the same familiar faces.

It was peaceful, and somehow, it suited me.

But then, one Sunday, Brian told me and Kiara to wait for him in the car because he needed to use the bathroom. However, more than ten minutes passed by and I started feeling a bit anxious. You know that gut feeling that tells you something could not be right? That’s exactly what I felt at that moment, and because of some reason, I asked a churchgoer to keep an eye on Kiara while I went to check on Brian.

And that’s when I learned the truth about his sudden urge to become this religious person he never actually was.

Brian was nowhere near the bathroom, so I walked back down the hallway and spotted him in the garden through the partially open window. He was talking to a woman whom I spotted attending service during the past weeks. And then I heard him say, “Do you understand what I did? I brought my family here… so that I could show you what you lost when you left me.”

I froze. What was he talking about and who was that woman?

“We could’ve had it all,” he continued. “A family, a real life, more kids. You and me. If you wanted the perfect picture, the house, the church… I’m ready now. I’ll do anything. Anything.”

The woman took a step back. It somehow felt to me like she wasn’t comfortable listening to Brian’s words.

“I feel sorry for your wife,” she said. “And your daughter. Because they have you for a husband and father.”

She then spoke of his obsession with her, and that she considered requesting a restraining order if he tried talking to her again.

At that moment, I felt too weak to confront him, so I just went back to Kiara.

And that’s when Brian returned and apologized for keeping us waiting.

It didn’t take long before I learned who that woman was. It turned out Brian was in love with her from the time they attended high school together. I got her number and asked her to meet me. She agreed and told me about the messages Brian was sending her over the years. He was telling her how much he loved her and how willing he was to leave me and our daughter for her.

That’s when I knew that my picture-perfect marriage was fake from the beginning and that there was nothing worth saving. My lawyer handed Brian divorce papers the following week.

This is the appliance in your home that doubles your electricity bill

0

With times getting tougher and tougher with each passing year, a number of people strive to cut down on electricity bills. However, what many homeowners aren’t aware of is that certain appliances are to be blamed for the increased energy costs, and one of them, which drains your electricity, isn’t your TV or your refrigerator but the electric clothes dryer.

In fact, an electric dryer can burn through as much electricity in a few short minutes as other household appliances use over several hours. The reason for this is rather straightforward when you think about it: heat.

The US Department of Energy explains that electric dryers dry clothes by pumping out intense heat and holding it there until the moisture is gone. That process isn’t gentle on your power meter. Even short drying cycles need a steady stream of energy to keep temperatures high.

When an electric dryer is running, it’s pulling a lot of power, usually somewhere between 2,000 and 5,000 watts, and most household appliances don’t come anywhere near that.

A fridge, a laptop, even a TV use relatively little electricity, which is why a short dryer cycle can end up costing as much as several hours of those smaller devices running in the background.

The tricky thing is how harmless dryer use feels. One load doesn’t seem worth worrying about, but those quick cycles stack up fast. The US Department of Energy also points out that dryers use more energy than most people realize, particularly when they’re constantly drying heavy things like jeans, towels, or blankets. In a busy household, that daily dryer habit can add to the electricity bill before anyone even thinks to question it.

Small habits can make that impact even worse. Energy Star points out that things like overloading the dryer, forgetting to clean the lint filter, using high heat, or relying on older machines all make the dryer run longer than it should. Poor venting doesn’t help either. On the contrary, it traps moisture inside, slows everything down, and quietly bumps energy use up minute by minute.

Electric dryers also cost more to run than gas ones. As the Natural Resources Defense Council notes, gas dryers use electricity only for movement and controls, while the heat comes from natural gas, which is usually cheaper. That difference becomes especially noticeable during colder months, when laundry tends to pile up.

The upside is that cutting dryer costs doesn’t require major changes. The Department of Energy says air-drying now and then can help cut energy use. Dryers tend to fly under the radar since they don’t run constantly, but when they’re on, they hit your power use hard. If your bill looks higher than expected, your dryer could be the quiet culprit.

Angelyne was the “Billboard Queen” for decades– now her true identity has been uncovered

0

If you want to make a name for yourself and turn into a celebrity, then Los Angeles is the place to be. There, even the wildest dreams come true and people become famous for being famous. At least such was the case with the mysterious blonde woman known as Angelyne who appeared on an L.A. billboard and caused a stir. Even today, there are plenty of speculations about who she really is, and no one knows the real truth about this woman.

It was in February 1984 when a billboard of an attractive blonde woman, wearing pink and pouting while staring out across Sunset Boulevard emerged. People kept wondering who she was.

Youtube/Arthur Drawings

Angelyne, whose real name is believed to be Renee Tami Goldberg, shared plenty of different stories about her background.

She once revealed that she was from the Midwest, and other times, she claimed she was from Idaho. “I didn’t feel they were competent as parents, and this is where I relate to Marilyn (Monroe),” she said. “She got tossed around as a child too.”

It was in 2017 that Gary Baum of The Hollywood Reported went into details about Angelyne’s life, but no one is certain that what was revealed is the real truth.

Baum wrote that the “Billboard Queen” was born in Poland on October 2, 1950, as the daughter of Polish Jews who escaped the Chmielnik Ghetto during World War II, and emigrated to Israel.

Eventually, her family moved to New York and later to Los Angeles. When Angelyne turned 14, her mother passed away and she and her father settled in Panorama City in the San Fernando Valley where she attended high school.

The magazine provided documents which showed she changed her birth name to Angelyne Llyne, but according to one of her friends, Scott Hening, this wasn’t true.

“This stuff comes up every few years — it seems to get more and more ridiculous,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

“My favorite one of all was this 300-pound black woman who claimed to be her mother. ‘I’m your long-lost brother,’ ‘your twin sister.’ Chalk it up to life in Hollywood. I’ve never heard of ‘Renee Goldberg.’ It’s laughable, it’s outrageous.

“I’m not saying the paperwork [from the name change] isn’t legitimate,” he added. “I’m saying it ain’t her. Look, I get emails from another Scott Hennig, a karate expert in Texas. People think that’s me. There are a lot of girls out there named Angelyne. I don’t know what to tell you. And who knows how legitimate this old stuff is, going back to World War II?”

Youtube/Arthur Drawings

In a 1995 interview, the “Billboard Queen” said: “People got interested – not in the band, but in me.

“They wanted me. They started interviewing me. That’s how it happened. It’s my thing. I’m the Billboard Queen.”

Earlier in May, she opened up with The Guardian about how the billboard fame affected her life: “It was like BOOM! But to me, being huge is normal. I do well big. I do well at 100ft. Wherever I came from, whatever is core to me, I was born with that.”

She then added: “I’m married to a sheikh. Maybe I am a man. My husband paid for everything. A gay guy died and left me all his money. There is a new Angelyne every two years. I’m a prostitute. I was a mystery.”

Some 11 years after her first billboard appeared in the heart of L.A., Angelyne had more than 200 billboards all over the city.

“It’s so much fun being famous for nothing,” she said in a 1987 interview.

“I had to say nothing then because people wouldn’t understand. I’m not famous for nothing – I’m famous for my essence. I’m sitting on top of a pink cloud, sending inspiration to the world. The difference between me and other famous people is that I’m only attached to Angelyne. I don’t do endorsements. I want my image to be clean – clean, clean for Angelyne.”

Los Angeles Times wrote that this blonde beauty used to sell postcards of herself for $5, $10 if autographed, large posters for $25, and $35 with a signature. For $45, you could get a large poster signed and adorned with an “authentic lip print.”

A mini-series about the “Billboard Queen” was released earlier this year starring Emmy Rossum as the titular character. The series shows the “famous-for-being-famous influencer culture,” which Angelyne started. Angelyne, however, wasn’t happy with the series and said she was working on a movie about her life herself.

According to Celebitiry Net Worth, Angelyne has a net worth of $500,000.

Earlier this year, Peacock debuted the miniseries Angelyne, with Emmy Rossum portraying the iconic ‘Billboard Queen’.

However, Angelyne wasn’t a fan of the series. Instead, she wants to share her story in her own words. She has since revealed that she’s developing her own film, Angelyne: Billboard Queen, which will delve into her childhood and her journey to success in Los Angeles.

“I was planning a film, but I wasn’t in a mad rush. I have a lot of footage, 100,000 pictures. You are gonna love my film! It’s gonna transform you. It’s The Godfather of films,” Angelyne told The Guardian.

I installed 26 hidden cameras to catch my nanny — I discovered the real threat was my own family

0

My wife’s passing days after she gave birth to our twin boys shattered my world into a million pieces. I thought I had everything, a loving wife, a multimillion home, our boys on the way, but her death changed everything.

Seraphina was an internationally acclaimed cellist and a woman every man would like to have by his side. She was perfectly healthy, and her passing was a result of what doctors called a “postpartum complication.”

I was left to take care of our boys, Leo and Noah, in a $50-million glass mansion in Seattle, and with a grief nothing could ever erase.

Noah was strong and healthy. Leo wasn’t. He needed more help than I could ever provide for him, so I hired a nanny to be around the twins most of the time.

My sister-in-law, Beatrice, accused me of not doing enough for Leo, that it was my fault he wasn’t as strong as his brother. He claimed I was emotionally distant and that the boys needed a “proper family environment.” The truth was that all she ever wanted was for me to sign over guardianship so she could control the Thorne Trust. And that was something I would never allow, no matter how hard things were.

Beatrice despised the twins’ nanny, Elena, and wouldn’t stop saying that she wasn’t good enough to take care of the boys, that she was too young, and not interested in giving them what they needed.

“She’s lazy,” Beatrice murmured one evening at dinner. “I saw her sitting in the dark for hours doing nothing. Who knows—maybe she’s stealing Seraphina’s jewelry while you’re gone. You should keep an eye on her.”

I don’t know why, but I started questioning Elena’s competencies, too. Maybe it was the grief, or maybe I just wanted to do what Beatrice wanted me to so I wouldn’t listen her complain again. So, I spent $100,000 on the most advanced infrared surveillance system money could buy.

Weeks passed, and I forgot to check the footage and see what the nanny was really doing while I wasn’t home. What I saw turned my life upside down.

I opened the encrypted feed on my tablet, and honestly, expected Elena to be asleep, but instead, she was sat on the floor at the nursery room and was cradling the cribs. I could hear her sing a song Seraphina made up for when the twins would be born. No one else knew that song, no one.

Then the nursery door slowly creaked open.

Beatrice stepped inside, and she wasn’t there to check on her nephews. She had a small silver dropped in her hand and started moving straight to Noah’s crib, the healthy twin, and began squeezing a clear liquid into his bottle.

Elena rose to her feet and yelled at Beatrice.

“Stop, Beatrice. I switched the bottles already. You’re giving him water. The sedative you’ve been using on Leo to make him appear ‘ill’? I found the vial in your vanity yesterday.”

I sat there motionless and couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

“You’re just a maid,” Beatrice yelled back. “No one will believe you. Alistair thinks Leo is deteriorating because of ‘bad genes.’ Once he’s declared unfit, the boys and the estate are mine—and you’ll be back where you belong.”

“I’m not just a maid,” Elena replied. “I was the student nurse on duty the night Seraphina died. I was the one she told the truth to before her heart gave out.”

“She told me you tampered with her IV,” Elena said. “She knew you wanted the Thorne name. Before she died, she made me promise to find her sons. I spent a lot of time just to get into this house and protect them from you.”

I didn’t hesitate and was down the hall in seconds, bursting into the nursery as Beatrice raised her hand on Elena.

“The cameras are recording,” I said. “And the police are already on their way.”

Once Beatrice was taken away, I spoke to Elena. She explained that Seraphina was aware of her sister’s jealousy and knew she would try to hurt her children.

I started crying. My wife was gone but she still found a way to protect her children, and that’s when I knew that mother’s love never dies, even if she does.

At a New Jersey show, Springsteen delivers strong message on ICE actions

0

Music legend Bruce Springsteen, who’s a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, performed at the 2026 Light of Day Winterfest, held at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey and delivered strong message on the killing of Renee Nicole Good, the 37-year-old mother of three shot by an ICE agent.

During his unannounced performance, Springsteen performed his huge 1978 hit song The Promised Land, but before he started singing, he addressed the crowd saying, “I wrote this song as an ode to American possibility.

“Right now we are living through incredibly critical times. The United States, the ideals and the values for which it stood for the past 250 years, is being tested like it has never been in modern times. Those values and those ideals have never been as endangered as they are right now.”

He continued: “If you believe in the power of law and that no one stands above it, if you stand against heavily-armed masked federal troops invading an American city, using gestapo tactics against our fellow citizens, if you believe you don’t deserve to be murdered for exercising your American right to protest, then send a message to this president, as the mayor of the city said: ICE should get the f—k out of Minneapolis. This song is for you and the memory of the mother of three and an American citizen, Renee Good.”

The audience broke in applause and cheers.

Springsteen isn’t the sole celebrity who spoke against ICE following Good’s tragic killing. Billie Eilish, Dave Matthews and Duran Duran also criticized the latest incident.

Springsteen has expressed strong feelings against Donald Trump and his administration before.

In a June 2025 interview with The New York Times, the singer-songwriter spoke critically about the former president’s leadership and how his policies affected the nation’s social cohesion.

“It’s an American tragedy,” he said. “I think that it was the combination of the deindustrialization of the country and then the incredible increase in wealth disparity that left so many people behind. It was ripe for a demagogue. And while I can’t believe it was this moron that came along, he fit the bill for some people.”

Latest research answers the age-old question about size

0

A new study from the University of Western Australia has offered fresh insight into the long-debated question of whether penis size influences female attraction and male perception of rivalry.

The research involved more than 800 participants, including over 600 men and 200 women.

Participants were shown anatomically accurate, computer-generated male figures that varied in height, shoulder-to-hip ratio, and flaccid penis length. Women were asked to rate sexual attractiveness, while men assessed how physically threatening and sexually competitive the figures appeared to them. Some viewed life-sized projections in a laboratory, while others completed an online survey using scaled images.

Shutterstock

The findings, published in PLOS Biology, showed that women generally preferred taller men with broader shoulders and a more V-shaped body, with penis size increasing attractiveness only up to a point. Women’s interest decreased beyond around four inches flaccid length, but men kept viewing larger sizes as more threatening.

Dr Upama Aich explained: “Females rated male figures that were taller, had a higher shoulder-to-hip ratio – indicating a more V-shaped body – and a larger penis as being more attractive. However, beyond a certain point, further increases in penis size, height and shoulder breadth had diminishing benefits.”

She added: “Males also rated taller figures that had a more V-shaped body and a larger penis as being more intimidating as sexual rivals and fighting opponents. But, in contrast to female participants, they consistently ranked males with more exaggerated traits as more of a sexual threat, suggesting that males tend to overestimate the importance of these characteristics for attracting females.”

The study also found that height and body shape played a stronger role than penis size in how men judged rivals, although penis size still influenced perceptions of competition.

Individual traits mattered too, with taller women placing more emphasis on male height and older men giving greater weight to penis size when evaluating rivals.

Reflecting on evolutionary implications, Dr Aich noted: “Relative to body size, the human penis is larger than that of other primates, a fact that has puzzled evolutionary biologists. Before the invention of clothing, the penis would have been a prominent feature that might influence potential mates and competitors.”

Co-author Professor Michael Jennions added: “While the human penis functions primarily to transfer sperm, our result suggests its unusually large size evolved as a sexual ornament to attract females rather than purely as a badge of status to scare males, although it does both.”

Overall, the research provides the first experimental evidence that penis size plays a role in both mate selection and male rivalry, while also highlighting a key mismatch: men tend to place more importance on extreme physical traits than women actually do.

Eight things that should never be lent without caution

0

Yokoi Kenji, a Japanese–Colombian motivational speaker, author, and cultural commentator known for talks that blend Japanese discipline with lessons learned from Latin American culture, shares core messages that often center on responsibility, self-discipline, and personal growth. He challenges audiences to reconsider habits, assumptions, and how we support others in meaningful ways.

From this foundation, we can identify eight areas where he would likely caution against lending without caution. And no, it’s not out of selfishness, but simply to protect personal growth.

1. Money You Can’t Afford to Lose

When it comes to lending money, it’s safe to say that it often influences relationships to get affected and change. Kenji talks a lot about financial responsibility and being grounded in reality. Lending money to those you rely on can make you anxious and undermine your own stability, which is disciplined living’s sworn enemy. Sound financial decisions begin with an understanding of your limitations.

2. Time Without Boundaries

Your time is a limited resource, and in many of his speeches about discipline and life, Kenji talks more about structure and prioritization than chaos. When you give away your time to others without end, that’s a one-way ticket to not having your own goals met. Remember that discipline isn’t only about doing more but also about doing what is important to you.

3. Constant Rescue

It’s perfectly fine to show kindness and be there for people when you need them, but helping someone once differs from repeatedly solving their issues. Kenji’s emphasis on individual responsibility suggests that repeatedly rescuing others, especially from consequences they could face themselves, delays their own growth and understanding and stops you from focusing on your personal goals.

4. Excuses for Others’ Behavior

When it comes to attitude and personal responsibility, Kenji says that accomplishment arises not from ease, but from responsibility. Excusing others’ decisions can take away a critical element of learning and self-discipline.

5. Peace of Mind to Avoid Conflict

Honesty is the best policy, they say, and having said that, when we try to avoid honest communication for the sake of preventing discomfort it can feel like “lending our peace” to others. Over time, this weakens our emotional boundaries and fosters dependence rather than growth.

6. Attention to Matters that Don’t Serve Purpose

Many of Kenji’s talks remind listeners that clutter, whether physical or mental, distracts from intentional living. If you start paying attention to every request or drama that isn’t aligned with significant objectives, you are pulling focus from what really matters.

7. Approval That Comes at Your Expense

When one seeks validation from others, that stands on their way of building inner discipline. At the same time, giving approval too easily and putting someone else’s comfort over your own sense of integrity can chip away at your self-respect and stall real growth.

8. Values You Don’t Practice Yourself

One of Kenji’s recurring themes is integrity: living your values rather than just speaking them. Lending moral guidance or advice you don’t embody can create confusion and inconsistency in others rather than true inspiration.

The message of Yokoi Kenji is not “become cold-hearted or be selfish.” Instead, it’s a matter of helping, in a manner of strengthening, rather than weakening. In his mind, boundless giving does not breed abundance but breeds dependency.

Prince Harry makes controversial claim about Louis and Charlotte that William ‘will hate’

0

Being considered one of the most famous families in the entire world, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the British royals are always in the center of attention. The media follows their every move and the public is more than eager to know everything related to their life, including whatever happens behind closed doors.

As we all know, the relationship between Prince Harry and the rest of the royals has been strained, and according to many, it all started the moment Harry and Meghan made the shocking decision to leave Britain behind and settle in sunny California.

The couple stated at the time that the reason behind their decision was to get away from the media and lead a life away from the spotlight. However, just the opposite happened as both Harry and Meghan never stopped giving interviews in which they revealed plenty about the life in Britain and the members of the royal family, even accusing them of racism at one point.

And then came Harry’s memoir Spare and damages his relationship with his family, especially his father and brother, even further.

Shutterstock

Among the rest, Harry detailed a meeting with William in Spare during which he had called his wife, Meghan, “abrasive,” “rude,” and “difficult,” something Harry referred to as to “parroting the press narrative.”

Allegedly, things escalated.

Harry described how William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and… knocked me to the floor.”

“He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out,” Harry wrote.

Further, Prince Harry opened up about his brother’s children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and said that he fears they could “end up” just like him.

“Though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare,” Harry said in an interview with The Telegraph.

“And that hurts, that worries me.

“I was brought into the world in case something happened to Willy, I was summoned to provide backup, distraction, diversion and, if necessary, a spare part. Kidney, perhaps. Blood transfusion. Speck of bone marrow. This was all made explicitly clear to me from the start of life’s journey and regularly reinforced thereafter.”

Although Harry’s book attracted both positive and negative opinions by the wide public and the royal experts, most of them agree that he shouldn’t have involved William and Kate’s children in it.

“Harry should lay off Prince William’s children. In fact, he should lay off everybody and button it now,” royal author Ingrid Seward told The Sun. “It is a very dangerous road to go down, to start talking about other people’s children.

“And what he says Prince William said to him is absolutely right – they are William’s responsibility and not his, so he should keep out of it.

“It is none of Harry’s business. But Harry has become dangerous to his family, and to himself, because he can lob in his little asides whenever he wants.”

Former BBC royal correspondent Jenie Bond told OK! Magazine, “Harry has a huge chip on his shoulder about being a spare, we all know that now, but he doesn’t have to assume that William and Catherine’s children will feel the same as him.

“Look at the Duke of Edinburgh and particularly look at the Princess Royal, they didn’t feel like the spares,” she continued. “They’ve gone out there and made it clear they don’t feel second-class in the least and worked hard regardless.

“Charlotte and Louis will be very important people with huge privilege and a huge platform, and so they don’t need to feel spare,” Bond concluded. “Just because Harry felt spare, doesn’t mean that his nephews and nieces will feel spare.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton has opened up about raising their children many times and said they do all in their power to provide them with as normal childhood as possible.

Twelve-year-old Nico Antic who was attacked by a shark in Sydney Harbour last week has died, his family shared.

“We are heartbroken to share that our son, Nico has passed away,” his parents Lorena and Juan said in a statement.

The teenage boy and a group of friends had been jumping off a rock ledge when he was attacked by what authorities believe to be a bull shark.

“Nico was a happy, friendly, and sporty young boy with the most kind and generous spirit. He was always full of life and that’s how we’ll remember him,” the statement by the grieving family read.

“We would like to sincerely thank the first responders and the teams at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick for everything they did to care for Nico.

“We would also like to thank everyone in the community for their support and kind messages.”

By Saturday afternoon, a GoFundMe campaign for his family had raised close to $240,000, with messages of support including one from Kate Barley, the mother of Khai Cowley, the 15-year-old who was killed by a shark in 2023.

“From one mum to another, my heart is holding you so tightly,” Barley’s comment read.

“I lost my beautiful boy Khai in a shark attack in South Australia — he was only 15 — and I know how unbearable this waiting and fear can be. Your precious boy is in our thoughts and prayers, and your family is being held with deep love and strength right now.”

Nico’s friends were praised for their quick and brave actions after rushing to help him following the attack. Police said at least one of them jumped into the water to pull him to safety, while others stayed with him and provided help until paramedics arrived.

He was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital in critical condition on January 18, where he underwent surgery and was placed in an induced coma due to serious leg injuries.

There has been a sudden increase in shark incidents along Australia’s east coast in recent days, including several in Sydney. One surfer escaped without injury, while another suffered serious injuries, and a day later a 39-year-old man was bitten on the New South Wales mid-north coast and taken to hospital.

Experts believe the rise is likely linked to heavy rain, which made the water murky and attracted bull sharks closer to shore.
