Our greatness as humans is best seen when we face situations we have to deal with at the best of our abilities. The story of a garbage collector from Ceres, California is a reminder that real life heroes do exist and they are all around us, making this world a more beautiful place.

Patrick Lebow was on the job, minding his own business, when he noticed a house got caught on fire. This brave man didn’t hesitate even a bit before he rushed to check whether there was someone in there or not. The residents of the place, an elderly couple, were trapped inside the burning place. Patrick managed to break in an take the husband and the wife to safety. If it wasn’t for his brave deed, they would likely end up dead.

When Ceres Fire Chief Kevin Wise and his team arrived at the scene, there wasn’t much left to be saved as the house was all engulfed in flames. That’s when they noticed someone had broken in before them.

“He (Patrick) felt a need to act,” said Chief Wise. “He saw that they needed some help.

Many praised Patrick for what he did and dubbed him hero, but this humble man says he only did what everyone else would in his place. We, however, believe it takes courage to act as quickly as he did.

George Floyd, an African-American man whose life ended after a white cop knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes and ignored onlookers’ pleas to remove his knee while Floyd kept repeating “I can’t breathe” became the symbol of the modern day civil rights movement. This tragic incident triggered unprecedented protests all over the United States and people fighting against police brutality can be seen all over the country.

Derek Chauvin, the cop who killed Floyd and has since been charged with murder left a black mark on police officers and many of them are trying to prove the world just the opposite, that they are there to serve them.

Recently, a peaceful march was held in Houston, Texas, as part of the movement triggered by Floyd’s death and five-year-old girl named Simone Bartee and her parents Simoen and Sion took part in it. All of a sudden, little Simone started crying and a cop approached her and asked what was wrong. The girl then asked him, “Are you gonna shoot us?” The officer’s answers melted our hearts. Instead of answering right away, he got down on his knee and hugged the little girl.

The video was shared on Twitter by Simone’s mother. The officer could be heard saying, “We’re here to protect you okay? We’re not here to hurt you at all. You can protest, you can party, you can do whatever you want. Just don’t break nothing.” That calmed the girl down and she stopped crying and feeling bad.

This sweet story is a proof that not all cops are bad or insensitive. Many of them go above and beyond their duty in order to serve the people they are sworn to protect, just like this police officer.

Dad finds a goodbye letter from 16-year-old daughter

Parents will take care of their children no matter how old they get. To be honest, when they reach teenage years they can be quite difficult to handle, and parents don’t have it easy coping with the late nights out, the sleepovers at their friend’s place, avoiding doing homework, poor school performance, having their first boyfriend or girlfriend, and a pile of other things some teens do that make parents worried sick.

The below story is a must read. It’s about a father who had a bad day because his favorite team lost the game. He was feeling down so he though it would be nice if he and his daughter go out and grab some ice-cream. But, to the father’s surprise, his daughter Anna wasn’t in her room. He didn’t see her leaving the house and got worried in the instant. He then noticed a hand-written note placed on her bed which said:

“Dear Mom and Dad, I’m sorry to have to tell you like this, but I’m eloping with my new boyfriend Muhammad. I’ve finally found true love, and he’s just great! I especially love his cute piercings, sexy scars, cool tattoos and his big motorcycle! And that’s not all – I’m expecting a child with Muhammad, and I’m already three months pregnant. We’re going to settle down in his trailer, and he says that he wants even more children. I’m so happy!!! And guess what? We’re going to get married next week! He’s also explained to me that weed isn’t as bad as some people make it out to be, so now we’re growing 17 plants behind our trailer. We’ll have enough for him and his friends, and in return, they’ll give us as many pills as we want. I do hope that they find a cure for herpes soon, so that Muhammad can get better – he really deserves it. Don’t worry about money – Muhammad’s friends Juan and Stanislav are in the movie business, and they’ve arranged for me to become an actress! Hidden camera catches carer doing the unthinkable with old woman

Placing loved ones in a retirement home is not always an easy decision, but we all want them to be happy and respected and well cared for, that’s not too much to ask surely? Grandma was very much loved, her grandson would call her early in the morning when neither mom or dad was awake, she always answered the phone and she would always say that she was awake! Actually, he didn’t know until years later that her grandson was waking her, but she still answered every single time, just to speak to him. Family should always be appreciated and looked after, and that is why this story is so hard and painful to read… When Grandma moved into the retirement home it was obvious that there was something that she always insisted upon, she liked to do the jobs herself that she could do before she got into the home. She was after all quite embarrassed that she could not manage some things on her own now, she was losing her independence and she didn’t really like it! Wearing adult diapers was arguably the hardest thing of all and probably one of the most difficult aspects of her condition, but necessary nonetheless. We have seen in the media about abuse of the elderly before, but this case will make you feel sad and ashamed of other human beings, so-called human beings!! Camille thought that she had found a great accommodation for her mother Helen, she suffered from Alzheimer’s, but it turned out to be one of the worse cases of abuse by staff that she suffered there. After just a short while Camille suspected that something wasn’t quite right, it just felt wrong, she got a bad feeling about the place. One day they discovered she had a black eye, they took action and installed a hidden camera to see what was going on!

It wasn’t long before they realized that things were even worse than they could possibly have imagined… They watched the recordings and realized that several of the staff were being abusive!

You can clearly see in the video below what was going on, and how the staff was really being horrible, one person blew their nose on the sheets as they were making the bed. Two employees were heavily making out in her room while poor Helen had to watch and be quiet, instinctively scared of what to do, clearly very uncomfortable.

Several of the other residents go into Helen’s room and take her things, nobody stops them, staff wave her own feces in her face, how really despicable!

The terrible things going in this care hole sickens me to the pit of my stomach, can you imagine your mom in that position, its lower than low what these staffs are doing! Camille released the films to the media and the home’s director, Alan Cavell, agreed they had failed and promised to overhaul their procedures and improve their security too, to ensure it will never happen again, ever! The staff that was involved in the incident were fired, one of them has since been reinstated since Camille made the decision to remove her mother from the care home. Not even a single staff member was prosecuted, much to everyone’s disappointment, especially Camille. Helen died in the September of 2016, she was an awesome mother of seven children and a nurse during World War II, her thoughtful and vigilant son at least have her a dignified end. Most people have negative opinion for drug addicts and believe those people are outcasts and can’t be helped. Sadly, the number of people who abuse drugs is pretty huge in America. Almost 21 million people here live with some sort of substance addiction, which is one in seven people.

The good thing is that many realize drugs don’t bring anything good and decide to turn their life upside down. Luckily, that’s true for a woman named Jamee Valet.

Jamee was first introduced with drugs at very early age. Her childhood wasn’t easy and she was just 15 years old when she started a relationship with a guy who provided her with various pills such as Vicodin, Morphine, and Perocets and taught her how to crush them and snort them.

Soon after, she was addicted to opiates and even referred to the substances as her “best friends.”

When she was just 17, Jamee got so drunk one day, that she wasn’t able to fight against two men who raped her. This experience was so traumatic that she eventually let go of the pills and turned to meth and heroin. Jamee recalls the time she met her dealer. She spent four days locked with him in his house and tried all the possible drugs.

“I didn’t know limits. I remember throwing up and doing more and throwing up and doing more,” she said. Whenever she would run short of money to satisfy her addiction, Jamee would steal.

The stealing led to Jamee getting arrested many times. That one time she ended up in prison, she through the only solution to her problems was to end her life so she tried hanging herself, but a cellmate alerted the prison guards and Jamee was taken to hospital. She spent two days in coma and that seemed to be her awakening call. She promised herself to put her addiction behind and start her life over.

Sadly, she didn’t even spend a day without drugs and once she was out of hospital she reached for it again.

Then, she was arrested once again and on probation. This time was the first time for Jamee to be away from drugs for a longer period of time. She spent nine months being drug free before she got back to it once again.

But then, Jamee’s life changed. She went to rehab and met someone special there, her boyfriend Jack. The two clicked right away and were determined to turn a new leaf. Once their rehab was over, they moved in together and things seemed to be working just perfectly for them.

But as it seemed the life of drugs was left in the past, Jamee got pregnant and lost the baby. She was so depressed that she turned to drugs again. It led to another rehab. Jake was always there to support her and help her overcome her problems. Luckily, it was the last time for Jamee to use substances.

Today, her life is completely changed. She got her GED and is planning to attend college. We hope she will never go back to her old life and that her successful story would serve as an example for other addicts to try to overcome their addiction.

Jason Hilley from Orlando, Florida misses the days when his daughter Kendall was wearing sparkly T-shirts and little girls’ stuff. But she’s now all grown up and her latest fashion choice just didn’t put her dad at ease. According to this guy, her jeans shorts are way too short and he came up with the most hilarious idea possible in order to tell her that.

Arguing with his sweet girl over her new pair of shorts just wouldn’t help, so Jason decided to get one for himself too and see how Kendall would feel seeing him wear it in public. You don’t have to be a believer to be familiar with the famous biblical story of Noah and his ark that saved two animals of each kind from the flood.

If you want to experience Noah’s times, now you can. A Kentucky theme park will let you embark on a journey through those ancient times. The place is awesome both from the outside and the inside. The size of the ark is as big as that described in the bible and it took two years to be built. The 75,000 square feet of space make this construction “the largest timber-frame structure in the world.”

You can see so many impressive things inside that you will always want to return for more. The inside is divided into three decks with plenty of exhibits.

Visitors can see Noah and the members of his family that traveled with him, their clothes, and many of their belongings. They can also learn a lot of interesting facts about the life before the real ark was built back in the time.

A bunch of photos with the story of Noah as presented in different times and different places are hung on the walls.

The best part of all has to be the ZOO that has exotic animals from all around the world. In addition to the living creatures, there are many figures of animals as well.

The animals are placed in wooden cages as those described in the legend of Noah.

What’s most, when visitors finish their tour around the place, they can have lunch or something to drink at the restaurant inside the ark. It’s one of the biggest restaurants in America. Of course, once they are ready to continue their adventure, they can see the outdoor ZOO and the rest of the impressive animals.

And for those looking for some extra excitement, this theme park offers ziplines that extend up to 2,000 feet across a valley. This is a truly unique experience for the bravest.
