8-year-old boy learns how to drive from watching YouTube videos – Takes his younger sister to McDonald’s

Something completely out of the ordinary took place a few years back in Ohio. One 8-year-old boy who loved spending time watching How to Do It YouTube videos decided he could drive his 4-year-old sister to McDonald’s to grab some cheeseburgers.

He was waiting for the right time to embark on his little adventure and got inside the car while his mom and dad took naps.

Plenty of people witnessed the unusual sight, but it was the McDonald’s employees who called the police. When the little boy who was behind the wheel handed in his piggy bank trying to pay for the food, the cashiers were convinced it was some sort of prank and waited for the adults to get out of the vehicle, but when that didn’t happen, they knew they had to alert the authorities.

Patrolman Jacob Koehler told the Times that the boy drove around a mile and a half and “obeyed all traffic laws.” Further, the officer said that the young driver “didn’t hit a single thing on the way there. It was unreal!”

No charges were filed and the kids were treated the cheeseburgers they ordered.

Trophy hunters pose next to a dead lion, few moments later karma strikes back

Most people find killing of innocent animals repellent. There are also those, however, who enjoy hunting and pay huge amounts of money to slay gorgeous animals like lions, elephants, and rhinos. These people find hunting entertaining and it is estimated that American trophy hunters import over 126,000 wildlife trophies per year on average from overseas, according to The Humane Society of the United States.

Back in 2015, one specific killing caused rage at people from all over the world, that of Cecil the lion who died at the hands of Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer. The incident took place in Zimbabwe and although Palmer had a hunting permit given by the government, which took big sum of money from him, it was reported how he first wounded the animal with a bow and arrow and “finished the job” the following day, which meant Cecil suffered. The loss of Cecil, who was much loved by many, “resulted in international media attention, caused outrage among animal conservationists, criticism by politicians and celebrities and a strong negative response against Palmer.”

This incident, however, didn’t stop other hunters from killing different animals, some of which on the list of endangered species.

The sad thing is that the rest of us aren’t really doing anything to stop this, except for feeling sorry for the creatures who lost their lives.

A lion from the video below is taking things into his own paws after his friend was killed by trophy hunters. As the killers are getting ready to take a photo with their trophy another lion comes from behind and starts chasing them. In the next moment, we see the lion getting back so we assume he didn’t hurt the killers, but at least he scared them to death.

People are commenting how “karma strikes back” and that “they got what they deserved.”

McDonald’s employee jumps through window to save off-duty police officer and her kids

The day started as any other for South Florida McDonald’s employee Pedro Viloria, 22, but soon, something no one expected coming happened.

Viloria was serving a mom and her two kids through the drive-thru window. The woman paid for the order and everything seemed just fine, but when he went to hand her the food, he noticed she wasn’t breathing properly.

In the next moment, the car started moving and it was obvious the woman lost control of the vehicle. The kids could be heard screaming, “Mother, mother stop it what are you doing!” according to Viloria.

The brave worker knew he had to act quickly in order to avoid a tragedy from taking place, so he jumped through the window and put himself in front of the car. Speaking to Inside Edition, Viloria explained: “I thought if these kids lose their mother today it would have been tragic. If I would have had to die to save that woman, I would have done it.”

Another person who was at the restaurant at the time also rushed to help.

The woman in the car happened to be an off-duty officer. She was transferred to the hospital where she was offered further help, but no other details have been revealed.

Asked why he did what he did, Viloria said, “My brain was on hero mode.”

The owner of the local McDonald’s told NBC Miami of Viloria: “He is an excellent employee, so it didn’t surprise me that he took immediate action and jumped through a window to help save this woman. And he was not the only member of the team that played a pivotal role in ensuring she received the medical attention she needed. A second employee, who asked to remain unnamed, assisted with CPR.”

We hope the woman will soon recover and we praise the young man for his incredible heroic action.

9-year-old boy offers free mowing services to the elderly, disabled, veterans, and single moms

It’s not every day that we see young children getting involved in helping the community. The fact is that most youngsters are busy studying, taking up activities they enjoy doing, like sports, and hanging out with their friends. But 9-year-old Jesse Ward from Warner Robins, Georgia is not your average kid. This young man decided to spend his free time completing a very unique and useful challenge set up by Rodney Smith from Alabama.

The nationwide 50 yard challenge asks from kids aged 7 to 17 to beautify 50 yards of members of their communities. So far, around 700 young people have responded to it.

Jesse is hoping to complete the challenge by the end of October.

“He enjoys doing it. Just because he feels good about himself doing it, like paying it forward for someone, so it makes me feel good that it makes him happy,” the proud mom said.

His neighbors are thankful for everything Jesse does for them. “One person said, ‘This is the best my yard has ever looked.’ And then the other person said, ‘My yard looks really good, thank you,’” Jesse shared.

Woman at Dunkin’ Donuts gets angry after cashier tells her that a dozen means 12 not 50

Different people are good at different things, and the fact is that we can never be experts on everything, but possessing basic knowledge about things is simply a must.

A woman waiting in line at Dunkin’ Donuts seems to be lacking general knowledge as she gets into an argument with the cashier over what “a dozen” means. Apparently, when she asked for a dozen donuts, she expected 50, no more, no less!

When the employee tried to explain to her that she’s wrong and that a dozen stands for 12, she got angry.

Firefighter saves baby’s life by giving her CPR while swiftly climbing down the ladder

For them, saving lives is just another day on the job, but for us, firefighters are our everyday heroes who many times put their own lives on the line for the sake of saving someone else’s.

A video taken some 20 years ago of two firefighters saving a baby from a burning building emerged recently and people praise the hard work and the dedication of the firefighters everywhere.

Source: Facebook/Fairborn Fire Department History

It shows a home that had gone up in flames on Hebble Avenue in Fairborn, Ohio, and a mother in distress and in anticipation of seeing her child being taken out to safety. As she’s looking at the two firefighters, Bob Swick and Scott Lewis, she finally notices Lewis at the window with baby Chelsea. Swick then takes the little one in his arms and shows incredible presence of mind.

Without even thinking twice, he gets down the ladder backwards while holding Chelsea and performing CPR.

Sweet Chelsea was rushed to the hospital and stayed there for a week because she inhaled an unhealthy amount of the smoke.

Thank you Swick and Lewis. You are a proof that not all heroes wear capes. You can take a look at the incredible video by the Fairborn Fire Department History below.

Abused and starved 11-year-old boy kept in a basement for years “cried every night and prayed to die”

Brothers Eddie Carter and Ethan Kelly were over the moon when they were finally adopted back in 2007. Little did they know, however, that their life will turn into a living hell under the care of their new parents, Richard and Cynthia Kelly.

The boys were kept locked in the basement, beaten, starved, and intimidated, while everyone else was living in the house.

Around a year after the adoption was complete, the abusive couple decided to give Eddie away, but sadly, his brother left in the house of horror and experienced the unimaginable. During the court hearing against his abusers, Ethan recalled how he was forced to spend 23 hours a day in the basement. There was a camera that didn’t work there, but Richard and Cynthia convinced the boy that they were watching his every move.

Ethan was severely bitten with belts and wooden paddles and was forced to hit his head against the wall. His fragile body was full of open wounds on which the two psychopaths would put salt and alcohol. In the food they gave him, the Kelly’s would often put very hot sauce and made poor Ethan run laps around the house, as reported by AL.com.

“This wasn’t the dream. I cried every night and prayed for Jesus to end it all,” Ethan said in court, as reported by New York Post. “They told me I was a bad child. They told me no one loved me or would ever love me.”

Ethan’s suffering only came to light when he was brought to hospital one day. He was adopted when he was just 11, and was 14 at the time he was seen by the doctors who were left in complete shock by the severity of his health condition. Ethan only weighted 55 pounds.

The Kellys defended themselves by saying that they didn’t mean to hurt him, they only did “what we thought was best.”

Ethan is now an 18-year-old man who is studying at Jefferson County high school. Four years after he was taken to hospital and the story about his life came to light, he faced Richard and Cynthia at court and said: “I’m not who I used to be. I’m not even who I was supposed to be. I lived the story of Cinderella with no happy ending.”

The abusers were only given 2 years in prison.”It would be somewhere in the realm of 20 years to life if I weren’t constrained by the law. But I am,” said Shelby County Circuit Judge William H. Bostick.

As for Ethan, he decided it would be for the best if he left his past behind and do all in his power to move on. As reported by AL.com, his last words to the people who made his life miserable were: “Even though you’ll never say, ‘I’m sorry,’ I forgive you.”
