9-year-old girl called “too fat,” “too ugly,” “too stupid” by bullies – Her mom is sharing her story

Although it’s the year of 2021 already and it looks like we’ve been doing our best to make things right, humanity still has a long way to go when it comes to eradicating bullying.

Sadly, being abused, called names, and not accepted because of different reasons, such as your looks or your points of view, is not that uncommon. Bullying can take place anywhere and it can affect people from all ages, but when young children who are helpless at defending themselves experience it, they can be affected for life.

Nicole O’Shea is a mother of a 9-year-old girl. This woman is trying really hard to help her daughter put up with the bullying she experiences on a daily basis, but it looks like no matter what she does, she fails each time.

Recently, she posted a touching letter at Love What Matters, and it touched the hearts of many. This is what she wrote:

“She’s 9. Nine years old and already learning what it feels like to have her heart broken by the unkindness of the world. She already knows what it feels like to have her peers comment on her body, her face, her clothes, her family.

She’s been called too stupid, too fat, too ugly, too poor, too loud, too huggy, too wild, too messy. She’s been uninvited because she’s not pretty enough, skinny enough, happy enough, funny enough, liked enough.

Those words don’t hurt me because I know they’re not true. I know she’s enough. What hurts me is how broken those words make her. What kills me is how she believes the naysayers of the world instead of her mama, the person who knows her best.

And that, my friends is why we HAVE to learn to love ourselves.

These babies are watching us. They’re learning how to love themselves by watching how we love our own selves. They CANNOT hear us when we tell them they’re enough because they’re too busy hearing us tell ourselves we’re not.

I vow to erase self-hate from my life. I promise to learn to appreciate who and what I am without exception. I will love me. Because me loving me is the only way I can teach her to love her.

Nicole wants others to imagine how it would feel like if it were their kids in her daughter’s place.

If this hit you in some kind of way, I know it’s because you’re picturing your own kids and the struggles they’ve seen. I am one mom of one daughter and our story is not unique. It’s the story of every mother and the daughters they’re raising.

But we aren’t here to dwell in the heartache. We’re here to breed confidence and resiliency in the hearts of our babies. With that in mind, I want to hear from the mamas and the aunties and the grandmas and the teachers, and all the women who have little girls looking up to them …

I want you to picture that little woman you’re helping to shape and promise me right now you’re going to start loving yourself the way you want her to love herself.”

We truly hope that no other child or even an adult ever experiences what this 9-year-old has. We need to fight against bullying together, because no matter how harmless and fun it seems to those who practice it, it can destroy their victims’ self-confidence for life.

WWII Veteran celebrates 100th birthday with a parade – Happy Birthday

“Major Matt Davis, along with officers of the Lexington Police Department, were honored to celebrate the 100th birthday of Charles Siniard with family, friends, and staff at Carolina Gardens Senior Living at Lexington,” the video of the celebration of the milestone birthday of war veteran Charles Siniard said.

Siniard, who now spends his days at a nursing home, had no idea that he would be offered such an incredible tribute for his birthday.

HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY! 🎉 “He’s served his country, served his Lord.” Charles Siniard in Lexington just turned 100 years…

The officers from Lexington Police Department organized a parade and honked with their vehicle as they passed by Siniard’s place. He was sitting outside, feeling happy and excited he was honored that way.

His relatives describe Siniard as “a good man, served his country, served his lord, faithful, still doing it, everybody looks up to him, he’s just a good man,” as they speak to WITX.com news. The staff at the nursing home speak of him as “a breath of fresh air.”

Siniard did a lot for this country, and celebrating his 100th birthday is the least the community can do for him. After the war, he worked several jobs and retired as a trucking supervisor. He has been married for 70 years and has a son.

Besides a parade during which the officers were holding “Happy Birthday” signs, they also handed him a letter of commendation thanking him for his service.

Siniard said he appreciated everything and was happy he got such a surprise. His motto in life is “to always have a positive attitude, even at 100.”

Happy birthday, Mr. Siniard. We wish you only the best in the years to come and we are very glad that our veterans are given the gratitude they deserve.

Trophy hunter poses with the heart of the giraffe she killed, says it’s the best Valentine’s present she ever got

Killing animals for fun has always been a widely controversial topic among the wide public. Many dub trophy hunters cruel killers and are strongly against this “game” of ending the life of many times rare and endangered creatures. The hunters, on the other hand, are convinced they are only helping the process of conservation and claim that they are in fact concerned for the wildlife.

Recently, well-known trophy hunter named Merelize Van Der Merwe triggered anger at animal lovers after she posed next to a dead giraffe and then added a photo holding the animal’s heart in her hands, writing it was the best Valentine’s present she could ever hope for.

Namely, Merelize and her husband booked a romantic trip to South Africa, but once she heard of the old giraffe, she paid around $2,100 to kill it, according to Metro.

“My husband booked a trip for us to the palace of the lost city situated in Sun City for our Valentine’s weekend, but our plans changed quickly,” Merelize bragged on Facebook. “My wonderful husband knew this was my dream and fully supported me from a romantic 5-star weekend away to roughing it again in the heat and bush. I was literally like a little child for 2 weeks and counted down the days.”

In a civilized and cultivated country wild animals only continue to exist at all when preserved by sportsmen. The…

Looking excited and being all smiles, Merelize described the killing as the “perfect frontal neck shot.”

Speaking to the Mirror, Merelize, whom many consider “sick” for what she is doing, said she will use the giraffe’s skin to make a rug. She also added: “I’d waited years for my own perfect bull – the older a bull gets the darker he gets. I love the skin and the fact it’s such an iconic animal for Africa.”

Convinced that she and those like her help the wildlife, she said she shows no respect for animal rights advocates and “calls them the mafia.”

“If hunting is banned, animals will become worthless and will disappear. Hunting has helped bring back a lot of species from the brink of extinction. The only people protecting these animals are trophy hunters,” Merelize said.

Dr. Mark Jones of the Born Free Foundation, on the other hand, argues against Merelize’s justification for her killings. “Trophy hunters’ claims they are concerned about wildlife conservation are highly misleading. Trophy hunting is not a conservation tool, nor does it contribute significant funds to local communities,” he says.

Most of the comments under this trophy hunter’s photos are like this one: “You are one sick individual nobody should get a thrill from ending a life. You should also respect this magnificent animal after its death , karma has a wonderful way of catching up with people when they least expect it.” Of course, there are also those, although only few, who support what Merelize is doing.

Little girl gets angry with her dad for playing with her toys

Kids are awesome. They are the tiny creatures that add beauty to our existence, no matter if we are their parents, aunts or uncles, they always make our life complete.

What’s most, their sometimes naive actions can easily make all of us burst out laughing, just like the little girl from the video below. It doesn’t come as a surprise that videos of little children doing goofy things are the most watched on the Internet.

Well, this girl doesn’t want anyone to put their hands on her precious belongings; her toys. She probably has all the right because adults don’t let the little ones touch their things as well.

Namely, she’s in the other room when she hears her dad playing with her Maracas. She immediately goes to him and says “No!” She then takes them and places them on the couch. But, her naughty daddy takes them again and continues having fun, probably thinking of those careless days when he was just a kid himself. The girl gets in the room again and takes her toys, placing them a bit far away from him.

But it’s the third time he plays with the Maracas that makes the sweet girl really mad. Her reaction is priceless. She’s going to make you laugh. Check the whole thing in the video below.

10-year-old boy cleans the snow off hospital workers’ cars so they can get home safely

With the temperatures still very low and the storms that hit parts of the U.S., I know that each and every one who is residing in the areas where the snowfall happened only wants to stay home and keep themselves warm.

However, Christian Stone, a 10-year-old boy knows better than only thinking of his own well-being. Although he’s still very young, he feels like he should do something in order to pay it back for all those people who have to go to work, especially doctors and nurses who are struggling with a huge number of patients because of the ongoing pandemic.

Christian and a family friend, Abbey Meeker, are going from parking lot to parking lot of nearby hospitals and clean the snow off the hospital staff workers’ cars.

“We kind of made it a game,” Abbey told CNN. Whenever they see someone approaching their vehicle, they rush to clean it. Needless to say, this means the world to the workers who spend hours driving home.

“JUST CALL THEM SNOW ANGELS,” and what a blessing it is to give freely without expecting anything in return. Good…

“I was thinking they’ve been helping us a lot through this whole pandemic, and I figured why don’t we help them, you know?” Christian told WJAR.

“All day, every day the nurses here, they deal with the pandemic like COVID and they want to get home from work, so we thought we would make it a tiny bit easier for them by cleaning off their cars for them.”

This isn’t the first time for Christian to lend a helping hand to those in need. Before he got this idea of stepping in for hospital workers, he would shovel his neighbors’ driveways for free.

In the thick of Monday’s storm, two people took on a task at Westerly Hospital to try and help some essential employees get home to their families faster. NBC 10’s Sam Read NBC10 has the story.

Posted by NBC 10 WJAR on Tuesday, 2 February 2021

According to Abby, he and Christian helped clean around 80 cars so far and they are not planning on stopping until the weather gets better.

“It’s been cold but extremely fun seeing how happy they get,” Christian said of the people they had helped. “Some of them say, ‘Thank you so much’ and I’m just really happy to see them happy.”

We should all be as caring and as kind as these two. Thank you for everything you do!

1-year-old wins argument with his mom using language we don’t understand

Choosing just the right words and making facial expressions which help support your thoughts during an argument is a must if you want to end up a winner. The little boy from the video below doesn’t even know how to speak yet, but he’s determined to prove his mommy wrong, although we all know she’s right when she asks him to sit down instead of standing inside the car.

The one-year-old uses words that we don’t really understand, but judging from his body language and how confident he is in what he “says,” we have to agree he’s going to be awesome at persuading people once he grows older.

His mom tells him he’s not allowed to climb on things while in the vehicle, but he doesn’t like what he is hearing and continues presenting his arguments.

Honestly, this sweet little boy is the best thing you’ll see all day so make sure you watch him in the video below.

New law asks for child sex offenders in the state of Alabama to be chemically castrated

Sadly, we witness many children being sexually abused by adults, and a simple jail sentence for these wrongdoers is nothing compared to the severity of their crimes and how they forever affect a child’s life.

The state of Alabama is taking these sorts of offences very seriously and is imposing a law which asks for the sex offenders to be chemically castrated. This, however, wasn’t accepted with open arms by everyone, and many question whether it would prevent the offenders from committing same or similar offences in the future.

According to the law, those convicted of sexually assaulting a minor under the age of 13 will be injected with hormone-blocking drugs before they leave prison.

Representative Steve Hurst argued in favor of a surgical procedure but later the chemical method was approved. Speaking of the law, Hurst said: “If chemical castration will help one or two children, and decrease that urge to the point that person does not harm that child, it’s worth it.”

However, according to a number of research, including one published in APA PsychNet, the libido has not much to do with the urge of these people to abuse little children. Sex offenders don’t have higher levels of testosterone and there is “no evidence to suggest there is anything chemically wrong with sexual offenders.”

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed the bill into law which states that offenders should undergo the reversible procedure at least a month before they are released out of prison.

“If they’re going to mark these children for life, they need to be marked for life,” Hurst told NBC affiliate WSFA of Montgomery. “My preference would be if someone does a small infant child like that, they need to die,” he said. “God’s going to deal with them one day.”

Speaking to Crime.awm.com, another State Representative, Juandallynn Givan, said: “You have to deal with the mind of a predator. You don’t worry about the physical body parts. You have to deal with what makes them do what they do,” adding how this law should be reconsidered.

However, Hurst once again stated the law is what the state needed and told WSFA.”People say this is inhumane. ‘How can it be any more inhumane than molesting a small child?’ Now that’s one of the most inhumane things there are.”

Randall Marshall, the executive director with the ACLU of Alabama, believes that this law could violate the U.S. Constitution’s 8th amendment.

9-year-old boy uses his entire savings to buy supplies for homeless shelter

Kindness comes in all shapes and forms, but when we witness little children doing good for others, the hopes of leaving this planet to someone caring and loving is raising higher and higher.

Nathan isn’t an ordinary 9-year-old kid who spends his days only playing and hanging out with his friends. Well, he does watch a lot of YouTube videos, something his dad doesn’t really approve of, but it was because of one of those videos he stumbled upon that he decided to make a change in the lives of the homeless people from a local shelter in Rock Island, Illinois.

ICYMI: This is the kind of selflessness we all need to bring into 2019!

Happy New Year!

Nathan was so deeply touched by the video showing people helping the homeless that he decided to do the same together with his dad Ethan. “I told my dad a couple of hours later when I got done watching the video, ‘I wanna do what they did,’” Nathan told CBS Local.

The next thing these father and son did was getting a list from the shelter about the things they needed the most. Both Nathan and Ethan withdrew $150 from their bank accounts, which was the entire saving this awesome boy had, and headed to the store. They bought shoes, gloves, barbecue sauce, and some treats like cupcakes and cookies. “It makes me feel happy and proud of myself,” Nathan said.

I can’t help it, I have to brag on my kids when they do big things. Nathan emptied his savings account today to go…

Cindi Gramenz, the development coordinator at the shelter, welcomed Nathan and his dad and thanked them for their kindness.

“You know you’re doing an awesome thing, right? You’re helping a lot of people. At nine years old, to be feeling that kind of compassion for the work we do and for what’s going on in his community is pretty amazing,” she said, according to the Epoch Times.

Ethan was so proud of his son that he decided to share what he did on Facebook. “I can’t help it, I have to brag on my kids when they do big things.” People who stumbled upon his post couldn’t help but praise Nathan. Some of the comments were: “I hope a few are inspired to do the same, Ethan. I love this,” “Raising a great young man there, Ethan,” and “Nathan, has realized the joy of giving is so much greater than the joy of receiving! The lesson learned from a growing heart showing compassion to other’s is a very very valuable lesson indeed!”
