Star of “Alaskan Bush People,” patriarch Billy Brown, dies at 68

The Discovery reality-documentary series featuring the life of the Brown family, Alaskan Bush People, gathered the attention of a huge number of viewers who were eagerly waiting to see how this family lived in the remote area away from the civilization. Sadly, the head of the “wolf pack,” as the Browns referred to themselves, passed away on February 8, 2021, leaving his family behind.

Billy Brown was loved by many and is missed by his wife, his sons, his grandchildren, and everyone who loved watching his show.

One of Billy’s sons, Bear Brown, shared the devastating news on his private Instagram account and wrote: “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved patriarch Billy Brown passed away last night after suffering from a seizure. He was our best friend — a wonderful and loving dad, granddad and husband and he will be dearly missed.

“He lived his life on his terms, off the grid and off the land and taught us to live like that as well,” continued 33-year-old Bear. “We plan to honor his legacy going forward, and to continue with his dream. We ask for privacy and prayers during this painful time. God Bless Everyone!”

The reality was filmed in Hoonah, Alaska and Chichagof Island, portraying the life in the wilderness.

In the recent season, the Browns moved to Washington so that Billy’s wife Amy, who was diagnosed with lung cancer, could be near the hospital where she was receiving her treatments. Luckily, she won the fight against the disease and is now cancer free.

“As long as Ami and my family are beside me, I’ll ride the wind of adventure to the end.” Rest in peace, Billy.

The spokesperson of Discovery expressed their condolences to the Brown family. According to People, it read: “We are devastated to hear of Billy Brown’s sudden passing.

“He has been part of the Discovery family for years — a trailblazer, a lovely man and most definitely one of a kind. Our heart is with his family and those that knew him and loved him as they deal with this devastating loss.”

The family was extremely close and despite helping depict the life in Alaska, they also represented true values.

The family patriarch died Sunday night after suffering a seizure, his son said.

Believe it or not, Rylee started singing when she was just two years old and everyone knew that music would be her calling. So far, many of her videos are seen by millions of people. What’s most, she doesn’t only play and sing other people’s music, but writes her own as well. Videos of her performing her own songs are also noticed by huge number of people.

Rylee, who lives in Toronto, is a star already, not only in her country, but the States and many countries around the world too. She even has her own clothing brand.

This time, she and what appears to be her band perform the everlasting piece of music, Stairway to Heaven. This song is one of the most acclaimed songs in the history of rock music and sang by young Rylee’s powerful voice it sounds amazing.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized for “exaggerating” the threat of Capitol rioters after she opens up about surviving the trauma

The Capitol riots which took place on 6 January, 2021 showed the world the flaws in the system of one of the greatest countries, the U.S.A.

Many judged the rioters as they saw them climbing walls, breaking doors, and destroying the government’s property. But it was the lawmakers who were inside the building at the time that feared for their lives the most. Among them was Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who spoke openly of the harrowing experience. Being a survivor of sexual assault, going through the ordeal caused by the rioters triggered fear at her.

Ocasio-Cortez heard someone yelling “Where is she?” while she was hiding inside the bathroom of her inner office. In an Instagram Live, she said how she feared she would be taken as a hostage, knowing many of the rioters were carrying zip-tie handcuffs, or even die. According to USA Today, Ocasio-Cortez said: “[It] almost felt like a zombie movie or something.”

“I thought I was going to die. This is the moment where I thought, ‘Everything is over,'” she said of the moment when a man, who happened to be a Capitol Police Officer, was looking for her “with a tremendous amount of anger and hostility.”

Ocasio-Cortez gathered the courage to speak up and people listened, but not everyone understood. Instead of words of compassion, many criticized her speech claiming she was looking for attention and saying she was exaggerating. One of those people was Rep. Nancy Mace who tweeted: “My office is 2 doors down. Insurrectionists never stormed our hallway.”

Conservative journalist Jack Posobiec shared a map of the Capitol complex on Twitter trying to represent Ocasio-Cortez as a liar.

“These claims from Ocasio-Cortez critics leave out key context. First, the Cannon building is connected to the Capitol via an underground walkway that is frequently used by legislators, aides, journalists and others; the Cannon building is considered part of the Capitol complex. Second, Ocasio-Cortez did not mislead about where she was during the insurrection; she explicitly explained on Instagram Live that her office is in a building near the Capitol,” read CNN Edition.

Capitol Police were instructed to evacuate people from the Cannon building.

Ocasio-Cortez further said that the attacks against her were just an attempt by the Republicans “to avoid accountability for inciting a deadly riot that killed five people, including a police officer, and attempted to overthrow a democratic election.”

The wedding day is supposed to be one of the most memorable days in the life of a woman. This day is all about love, trust, and mutual respect. It’s the day when you promise to love and to cherish the person standing next to you forever. But it seems that not everyone is lucky enough to find in a person a companion for life who will be there no matter what. Because sometimes, people are not who we think they are. A bride-to-be that goes by the name “Casey” has a story to tell. She will certainly never forget the day she walked down the aisle, wearing the white gown, and a big smile on her face. But, the reason why this day is one to remember might not be why you think it is. She writes on her account on Whimn how she had this unpleasant feeling in her stomach as she was looking at all those people who were there to celebrate her love. The night before the big day, Casey was out with her best friends. As they were having fun, Casey received a text message. She quickly grabbed the phone thinking it was a well-wisher, but what she read made her world collapse in an instant. It was series of screenshots and photos of her fiancé “Alex” with another woman. As she started reading the conversations, she simply knew it wasn’t someone playing tricks on her. Her gut was telling her Alex was a cheater. Along with the photos, she got a message that had her thinking. It said:  “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?”
“This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game.” “Your body is ******* incredible. And **** do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do.”
Aware that the wedding was the very next day, she decided not to confront Alex, and she had all the support form her friends. She had something else on her mind. So, the next day, she stood next to her love, and as everyone was eager to hear the wedding wows, Casey said, “Alex is not who I thought he was” and she proceeded reading the messages instead. As the guests sat there looking stunned, Alex stormed out.

19-year-old Joseph Flavill was over the moon to be visiting the Buckingham Palace and receiving the Duke of Edinburgh youth achievement award, but two months before the trip was about to take place, young Joseph was involved in a car accident and ended up in coma.

Now, ten months after the collision which left him with a brain injury, Joseph is slowly waking up and showing progress. However, there is one thing that bothers his family, how would they explain it to him why no one is at the hospital by his side and why is everyone wearing a mask.

When Joseph ended up in the hospital on Mach 1st of 2020, the situation with the pandemic was still under control. The United Kingdom had recorded just 23 cases of the new virus no one knew anything about and most of the deaths caused by it were registered in China only. Three weeks into coma, the virus rapidly spread and Britain went into lockdown.

His mom said how Joseph himself have been affected by the virus twice while in coma.

One of this young man’s aunts, Kate Yarbo, told CNN: “When he comes out of this, life will not be as he knows it at all. How do you describe it? I think it’s going to be a shock. We’re all still processing it — I’m not sure you can ever actually describe how this pandemic feels.”

His other aunt, Sally Flavill Smith, told The Guardian, “He won’t know anything about the pandemic as he’s been asleep for 10 months. His awareness is starting to improve now but we just don’t know what he knows. I just don’t know where to start with it. A year ago if someone had told me what was going to happen over the last year, I don’t think I would have believed it. I’ve got no idea how Joseph’s going to come to understand what we’ve all been through.”

Despite this thing about the pandemic, Joseph family is very happy that he’s showing quick progress. He understands what he’s told and is able to move his limbs when asked to.

The hospital costs will probably be huge, so the family is raising money to help them cover the bills. So far, they raised nearly $45,000, although they are convinced it will all cost a lot more.

“Nobody knows what the long-term impact will be, but we do know that the journey could be long and costly,” they wrote on their website, Joseph’s Journey. We are glad Joseph is recovering and we hope we’ll see him standing and running in the months or even days to come.

Hero recalls the moment he stepped in to save 6-year-old boy locked inside his grandma’s shed

Juan Vaquero is the man who stepped in for a 6-year-old boy in need of help. The little one was found locked in his grandma’s filthy shed with his arms tied behind his back.

Vaquero recalls the moment he heard the noises coming from the shed while he was renting the backyard of the boy’s grandma’s house and lived in a trailer. He knew the little boy from before as he had seen him playing around, but he had no idea he was mistreated by the grandma, Esmeralda Lira, 53, and her 64-year-old boyfriend Jose Balderas.

When Vaquero approached the shed that evening and asked who’s inside, a trembling voice answered. The boy said how he was very hungry as he hadn’t eaten since the morning and it was 10 p.m. already.

Vaquero said how he will bring a Jell-O, but the boy told him he couldn’t eat it because his arms were tied. That’s when Vaquero realized the severity of the situation. It wasn’t just a family matter where a boy was innocently grounded for something he did, so he decided to interfere and called child protection services.

Dallas police was soon at the scene. They entered the shed and discovered the helpless boy. Rats and insects could be spotted around him.

In the house, there were two other children as well.

When questioned why they did what they did to the little boy, Esmeralda and her boyfriend said how he was stealing food. Dallas Police believes the boy had been locked in the shed every night for two weeks.

Both Esmeralda and Jose have been arrested and charged for endangering a child.

With tears in his eyes, Vaquero says, “It had to be me who spoke up.” He is very happy he got to help the boy. If he stayed longer with such cruel people as his grandma and her boyfriend who knows what would have happened and what else he would have to go through.
