Bill Gates explains during Q&A that it was “his fault” he and Melinda are getting a divorce

Earlier this year, one of the most powerful and most influential couples, Bill and Melinda Gates, announced they were splitting after 27 years of marriage. Their net worth is estimated to be around $150 billion and information on how they would split their assets hasn’t come to light yet. The couple didn’t have a prenup, but they said they have signed a separation agreement which is an agreement signed at the end of a marriage and includes terms of the split.

“After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” the couple wrote in a shared statement.

“Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives.

“We continue to share a believer in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives.”

The two met when Bill was already a millionaire and built Microsoft and Melinda started working for the company. They have also been heavily involved with their Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Bill and Melinda have three children together. Their daughter Jennifer put a statement regarding her parents’ divorce and wrote on Instagram: “It’s been a challenging stretch of time for our whole family,”as quoted by US Magazine.

“I’m still learning how to best support my own process and emotions as well as family members at this time, and am grateful for the space to do so. I won’t personally comment further on anything around the separation, but please know that your kind words and support mean the world to me.”

There were rumors that one of the reasons behind the separation was that Bill was involved in a relationship with another woman, but neither confirmed or denied that.

Recently, however, new information about their divorce came to light, as reported by the New York Post. According to the magazine, at the exclusive Allen & Co. “summer camp for billionaires” last week, Bill Gates spoke during an “off the record” Q&A and admitted the divorce “was his fault” when asked about it by the host, CNBC’s Becky Quick, an attendee was reported to have said.

The source was reported to have added: “He did seem a bit emotional about it. He might have been on the verge of tears.”

Another person told New York Post that Bill wasn’t in the mood of talking to the rest of the people attending the camp and added: “Bill Gates was pretty much a total a**hole.” Other described the Microsoft owner as feeling “agitated” during his stay  at the “summer camp.”

We are, however, yet to learn the real reason behind the divorce.

Grocery store workers notice an elderly lady in distress and realize she’s being scammed

The elderly are easy target for scammers because they are not familiar with technology and are more trusting than the younger population. In order to get money from them, scammers use different tactics; one of which is the gift card scam.

As reported by Detroit Free Press: “Federal Trade Commission data indicates that consumers have reported spending nearly $245 million on gift cards that they used as payment to scammers from January 2018 through September 2020.”

Jane, an elderly woman from Colorado, could easily fall a victim of scammers and she was about to lose her money if it wasn’t for Sophia Rossi and another employee from Safeway who were trained to detect when someone was being scammed into converting their money into gift credits.

Namely, they noticed that when Jane entered the store, she was quite disturbed. They approached her and asked her whether there was something that bothered her. It was then that she told them how she got a call from an “officer” who told her that she would be in trouble and even end up in jail if she didn’t cooperate.

Speaking to News 5, Jane said: “If I didn’t cooperate, then it was going to be in the newspaper this morning and everybody would know and they were going to strip me of my Social Security card and close all the different accounts of stuff that were in my name, and I’m like, ‘you got a be kidding’. He said, ‘then you’re going to go to jail’ and I’m like, ‘what?’ He said, ‘yeah, we got a warrant out for you.’ That’s what got me. That scared the hell out of me.”

After learning what was going on, Sophia called the Woodland Park Police and told Jane how the gift card scam worked.

Sophia also wanted to warn others of this scam and told News 5: “Social Security numbers are brought up, or I’m making a purchase on one website but having to get gift cards for another website, or my computer’s been compromised stuff like that. You’re never going to need large amounts of money in like Google Play gift cards. It’s not going to happen. So right away I recognized that that’s what it was.”

One thing everyone should have in mind is that no entity will ever ask from you to make a payment in the form of gift cards.

Thankfully for Jane, she stumbled upon the right people who helped her discover she was a victim of con artists before she lost her money.

Football player silences entire crowd with his performance of the national anthem before his match

One thing Americans have deep respect for, besides the flag and their veterans, is the national anthem. The Star Spangled Banner served as the hymns of U.S. officialdom before 1931 and for those of you not familiar with its origins, the lyrics come from the Defence of Fort M’Henry, a poem written in September 1814 by amateur poet Francis Scott Key.

Key witnessed the bombarding of Fort McHenry by British ships of the Royal Navy in Baltimore Harbor during the Battle of Baltimore and it is this event and the gorgeous U.S. flag that inspired the creation of the lyrics every proud American knows by heart.

The anthem is performed before every significant event, including sports.

It was during a recent football game by the Nashoba Regional High School when the performance of the anthem by one of the sophomores named Sam Keith went viral and stole the hearts of many.

What is interesting is that this incredibly talented singer with a mesmerizing vocal is a football player as well. He took the microphone in his hands and belted the famous lyrics while wearing his jersey with number 59 on it and holding his helmet in his hands.

Many agree that Keith’s performance will go down in Nashoba High history!

This young man possesses many skills. Besides being a very successful football player and a singer, he’s an actor too. His videos of his stage performances are seen by many. Keith has taken part in plays like Footloose, Addams Family, and Les Miserables!

After the footage of him singing the national anthem went viral, his school posted an upade, writing: “Sam has continued to sing the anthem at multiple football, soccer, and basketball games at his high school. He has continued his passion for voice and acting and is currently attending University of Cincinnati as a Musical Theater Major at CCM (College Conservatory of Music). He is part of the class of 2021.”

Woman tricks boyfriend into believing she was carrying quintuplets for nearly nine months

Paul Servat and Barbara Bienvenue from Montreal, Canada, had been dating for over two months when she told him he was going to be a dad to five babies. The father-to-be was over the moon. Not even in his wildest dreams did he imagine he would be having quintuplets.

Everyone in the family was overly excited and the whole community stepped in for the future parents. A number of people and companies started donating baby clothes and diapers. Presents started pouring from each side.

When Barbara was in the 34th week of pregnancy, she started having contractions and it was finally the time for the five bundles of joy to be welcomed into the world.

To everyone’s shock and surprise, instead of Barbara delivering babies, Paul was delivered the news that his girlfriend was actually never pregnant.

Hearing this, Paul’s whole world collapsed. He was tricked into believing he was going to be a dad for months, and now the truth felt like a bad taste on his tongue.

It seemed that the only ones who weren’t shocked by all this were Barbara’s family and friends. According to them, she did the same thing to her previous boyfriend and even faked having leukemia at one point in her life.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, devastated Paul said: “She let me choose the names. I lost everything, it was my whole life.” He then added how he had nothing to do with those lies and said he wasn’t a bad man. Paul returned most of the presents they received and gave the rest to other expectant parents.

Barbara was held at the hospital to be examined mentally as doctors believed she was suffering from a condition known as pseudocyesis or phantom pregnancy where the woman convinces herself that she’s pregnant and the body starts behaving as such.

Harry and Meghan pay $3,3 million for UK home rent and refurbishment costs

Although they settled in Montecito, California, probably for good, Harry and Meghan haven’t cut ties with the Royal Family entirely. In fact, they seem to be improving the relationship with the members of The Firm and the birth of Lilibet Diana has a lot to do with that.

When the couple announced the birth of their daughter on June 4, congratulations came pouring in. Prince Charles, William and Kate, as well as the Queen have all sent their best wishes to the family.

Later on, Harry stepped on British soil again for the unveiling of his late mother’s statue which is placed on the grounds of the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace. The brothers were seen walking shoulder to shoulder and released joint statement through Kensington Palace following the event.

“Today, on what would have been our Mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character — qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better,” they said.

“Every day, we wish she were still with us, and our hope is that this statue will be seen forever as a symbol of her life and her legacy.”

However, one more thing that ties the Sussexes with the Royals is their former home, Frogmore Cottage, which is located on the grounds of Windsor Castle. Harry and Meghan lived there prior to their decision to step down from their royal duties and move to America.

New reports say that the couple made a payment of $3.3 million to the Royal Family in September 2020 and the place remains licensed to them until March 2022.

During the launch of an annual report into the taxpayer-funded Sovereign Grant that finances the royal family’s public duties, Sir Michael Stevens, Keeper of the Privy Purse, confirmed to the reporters that “the payment covers all their [Harry and Meghan’s] current obligations,” according to People.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made a substantial contribution to the Sovereign Grant that covered the refurbishment costs of Frogmore Cottage,” Stevens added.

The Royal Family’s official website reads: “Frogmore Cottage will continue to be the property of Her Majesty the Queen.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will continue to use Frogmore Cottage – with the permission of Her Majesty The Queen – as their official residence as they continue to support the Monarchy, and so that their family will always have a place to call home in the United Kingdom.”

To bring a little happiness to your day here is a storey that we landed upon…. When you go into a supermarket, sometimes that one single impatient child, who is either shouting, screaming or generally being awkward and perhaps this is a topic a lot of us parents can relate to also. In this case picture a grandfather, he has discovered a special method of dealing with his 3 year old grandchild and seeing this storey, and what he did made me laugh, really laugh my socks off! As the badly behaved youngster, 3 years young, is walking with his grandfather through the supermarket, a woman is following them. It’s blatant to her that he has his work cut out with the child, screaming for treats and goodies, biscuits, sweets, fruit, cereal, sugary fizzy drink, you name it! Whilst this is going on grandad is making his way through the supermarket and in a steady voice saying:

“Easy, William, we won’t be long, Easy, boy.”

After much more aggro from the boy, grandfather says:

“It’s okay William, just a couple more minutes and we’ll be out of here. Hang in there, boy.”

At last at the checkout, the little boy in his final struggles for attention, throws things out of the shopping cart, again grandad says, calmly:

“William, William, relax buddy, don’t get upset. We’ll be home in five short minutes; stay cool, William.”

Greatly impressed by this the woman catches the grandfather at the car while loading the shopping and says:

“It’s none of my business, but you were amazing in there. I don’t know how you did it. That whole time, you kept your composure and no matter how loud and disruptive he got, you just calmly kept saying things would be okay. William is very lucky to have you as his grandpa.”

“Thanks,” said the grandfather, “but I’m William. The little brat’s name is Kevin.”

This is the charming woman behind chef Guy Fieri’s success and food empire

If you are passionate about food and enjoy watching cooking shows, chances are you have sought inspiration in the work of chef Guy Fieri.

This incredibly successful man with spiky blonde hair and goatee has built a food empire all thanks to his passion and talent and his loving wife who has supported him every step of the way.

Fieri’s story with food started when he was just a 10-year-old boy. Back in the day, he built and operated his own pretzel cart. This was his first step towards building a successful career in the food industry. It also helped him learn a thing or two about running a business and along with his talent, it was a win-win combination. The pretzel cart later had even more important role in the life of Fieri who founded the Pretzel Cart Project and provided children’s organizations with pretzel carts. This helped the little ones learn now to cook and how to run a business themselves, just the way Fieri did.

As he always knew he wanted to be a chef, during his studies at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, where he earned a degree in Hospitality Management, he held several positions at different restaurants before he started working at Stouffer’s restaurant.

In 1996, Fieri opened his first restaurant, Johnny Garlic’s, together with his friend Steve Gruber. This was a huge thing for Fieri, but what truly changed his life took place some for years earlier, when he met his future wife Lori.

The serendipitous encounter took place while Fieri worked at a restaurant in Long Beach, California, when a former employee and her friend, who would steal his heart, entered the place to grab something to eat. Lori was about to go on a trip to San Diego that day, but she never left. Three years later, the couple married and welcomed their son Hunter a year later. Their second son, Ryder, was born in 2005.

Although he was already very successful as a chef by 2005, Lori encouraged him to compete on the TV show The Next Food Network Star.

“I said, ‘Listen, this is the opportunity of a lifetime,” she recalled. “If you don’t try, you’ll never know. You need to go.’” He hesitated at first, but decided to send a video and went to the audition, and the rest is history. Fieri won the show and his name is up until this day associated with great food and awesome cooking skills. “If I could go back and relive that whole experience again, I would,” Lori says. “It was such a high.”

Getting a star on the Wall of Fame speaks of Fieri’s popularity in the food industry more than we can ever say.

Throughout the years, as well as nowadays, Fieri has been hosting a number of shows such as Guy’s Big Bite, Guy’s Grocery Games, and Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, and travels the country trying different dishes.

Despite being dubbed the best cook by many, Fieri says his favorite dish is one his wife prepares. “There’s an old school recipe she makes that she brought home from where she grew up in Rhode Island,” Fieri told Today Food. “It’s one of the first things she ever cooked for me and it’s still a favorite of mine.”

Although loved by many, there are also those who criticize what Fieri does, but he’s not touched by the mean comments from those people.

When he opened his restaurant Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar in New York in 2012, which brought him $17 million income despite closing a few years later, critic Pete Wells from The New York Times gave a negative critic, writing, “Why is one of the few things on your menu that can be eaten without fear or regret – a lunch-only sandwich of chopped soy-glazed pork with coleslaw and cucumbers – called a Roasted Pork Bahn Mi, when it resembles that item about as much as you resemble Emily Dickinson.”

Fieri’s son Hunter is interested in working along his famous dad and holds the same passion as the chef. He already held a few jobs in some of the restaurants but started by washing the dishes before he got inside the kitchen as a cook.

“My dad opened his first restaurant when he was 28. It’s crazy. I want to have the most knowledge that I can before I go and open a personal restaurant like that,” Hunter told the New York Post. It’s obvious that young Hunter is fascinated by his dad and wants to reach his success in the years to come. We hope his dream will come true one day.

At the moment, besides running his restaurants, Fieri is doing something truly wonderful for those affected by the pandemics. Together with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, Fieri managed to raise over $20 million for restaurant workers who lost their jobs amid the crisis.

Leni is a spitting image of her mom Heidi Klum and is following into her footsteps

They say that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and in the case of stunning supermodel Heidi Klum and her even more beautiful daughter Leni, this seems to be very true.

Leni was born in May of 2004. However, when her father, and Heidi’s then boyfriend, Italian Formula 1 Manager Flavio Briatore, learned the model was pregnant, the two split. In fact, while she was carrying Leni, Heidi met her now ex-husband Seal who raised Leni as his own daughter.

Over the years, magazines were writing that Flavio and Leni weren’t seeing each other, but in 2018, TMZ reported how they met in Italy. According to Mail Online, the former Benetton Formula One racing boss told Italy’s Il Corriere della Sera: “Leni is my natural daughter, but the three of us happily agreed that it made more sense if Seal adopted her, because a child needs to grow up in a family.”

“It’s hard to miss a baby that you never see. But I know that Leni is not an abandoned child. Leni is part of Seal’s family and Nathan is part of mine,” he said in 2016, speaking of his biological daughter and his son whom he has with model Elisabetta Gregoraci.

In 2012, Heidi and Seal called it quits. Besides Leni, they have three other children together.

“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart,” a statement released by the couple read.

“We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”

Beautiful Leni is now 16 years old and many say that she’s a spitting image of her famous mother. In fact, she’s following into Heidi’s footsteps. “It was only a matter of time before I would try to become a model myself,” she told Vogue. “The first offer came when I was only 12 or 13, from a brand I liked to wear: Brandy Melville. At that time I begged my mother, but no chance. Now I understand that it would have been too early.”

From what we can see, Leni enjoys being under the spotlight and loves what she does. She gets to learn from the best in the modeling industry.

“With most other jobs, I would have to suppress my crazy nature to make a ‘professional’ impression. As a model, I can let everything out and just be who I am. The job is the perfect outlet for all the energy I carry inside me,” the teen added.

This mother and daughter are also best friends. They are very close and Leni says how she tells Heidi everything and learns a lot from her. Recently, they were featured on the cover of Vogue and we can all agree that they are both stunning in their own way.

Leni has an Instagram account with over 500,000 followers where she posts lots of photos of her working and modeling. I am sure the world of fashion is yet to learn of Leni’s name.
