A mother’s worry turned into every parent’s nightmare when her three daughters, Olivia Decker, 5, Evelyn Decker, 8, and Paityn Decker, 9, failed to return home after a planned visit with their father, Travis Decker.
On May 30, 2025, Whitney Decker frantically called the police, saying her daughters hadn’t returned home and fearing something had happened to them.
Sadly, her intuition didn’t lie to her.
On June 2, the bodies of the killed three young sisters were found near Rock Island Campground in a remote spot of Washington state, not far from where Travis’ truck had been abandoned.

They had plastic bags on their heads and zip ties around their wrists.
Their father, who faces three counts of first-degree murder and kidnapping, is on the run.
“Travis Decker, 32, is now the prime suspect in the murders of his daughters,” police confirmed, warning the public he may be armed and dangerous.
Police also said Decker had no permanent address and had been staying in his truck, at campsites, and in motels.

His ex-wife and the mother of the killed girls raised concerns over Decker’s declining mental health, his unstable living situation, and the alleged endangerment of his children. As a result, his visitation rights were limited to a set amount of time every other weekend.
A chilling audio of Decker taken from a September 2024 custody hearing shared by the Wenatchee World in which he speaks of his daughters just months before they were found dead has emerged. In it, he pleads with with a family court judge to give him access to his daughters again.

“Every time I’ve had the girls, we have been in campsites and national forests and paid campsites that have campers,” Decker says in the audio.
He then adds: “We’ve never done anything that was unsafe, or anything I wouldn’t want to put myself in.”

Seventeen years after he testified that his mother killed his sister, A.J. Hutto, then just a 7-year-old child, breaks his silence.
17 years after the death of his sister and his testimony of his mother being the culprit behind the tragedy, A.J. Hutto, now 24, broke his silence on addressing the court as a 7-year-old child.
When he took the witness stand nearly two decades ago, all eyes were on him as his sister’s death was a case that had gained the nation’s attention.
That day in 2008, he testified that “mama got mad” and “dunked” his sister, 7, in the pool — today, he still stands behind his words, claiming his mother, Amanda Lewis, is “100% guilty.”
On 8 August 2007, A.J.’s sister, Adrianna Elaine Hutto, was found unresponsive in her family’s pool in Esto, Florida.
Lewis was the one who called emergency services, telling them her daughter wasn’t breathing. They transported her to Bay Medical Hospital where they pronounced her dead an hour later.
According to Lewis’ testimony, she finished her night shift at the nursing home where she worked as a nurse and took a quick nap while the kids watched cartoons.
They were about to go shopping for school supplies later, but as the temperature exceeded 100 degrees, A.J. and Adrianna wanted to go in the pool, which was a 4-foot deep, above-ground pool and off limits to the kids without adult supervision.
Lewis claimed A.J. entered the house and told her Adrianna was in the pool, but Lewis believed she meant somewhere around it as the pool ladder was kept locked in the shed and told him to tell her to get inside the house.
A.J. got out and when Lewis looked out the back door, she saw her son “raking in the water with his hand, like he was trying to grab her.”
“When I got to the pool … she was face down… She was very purple, very blue,” Lewis said of her daughter. It was then that she called the emergency services.
At first, authorities believed the girl’s drowning was an accident.
However, six months later, 7-year-old A.J. entered a courtroom full of strangers and explained what had really happened on that faithful day and testified against his own mother.
Previously, in an interview with the police, he said, “Mama dunked my sister. She done some stuff that she ain’t suppose so my mama got mad, so she throwed her in the pool,” and now his mother’s fate rested in his tiny hands.
A.J. made a drawing of the day his sister died. When asked to identify the figures he had drawn, he pointed to one and said it was his mom killing his sister.
“How is she doing that?” he was asked. “Putting her hand over her face,” A.J. told the courtroom.
On his drawing, he included the words “she did,” and “too bad.” He then explained that his sister died and it was too scary.
The jury found Lewis guilty of first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse. She was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Following the incident, A.J. went into a new home. No one really knew where he was or what he was doing.
Until now.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, A.J., who is now working as a firefighter, said he wasn’t “coached or anything like that” for the trial and only realized that his testimony determined his mother’s fate when he reached his teenage years.
“I just told them exactly what I saw word for word,” he said and added that as a child, he was “really, really nervous…Having all those people looking at you and all that. But I was just glad it was over.”
He also spoke of his childhood and described it as “darkness, trauma, and a lot of abuse.”
He claimed he and his late sister suffered physical abuse.
For him, it all changed when a loving family adopted him.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve had to talk about it, so I kind of remember some things about my previous life.
“And for the most part, I remember the abuse. Sometimes we wouldn’t even see it coming. It was literally sometimes we were blindsided,” he said of him and Adrianna, who was his “best friend.”
Ever since he testified against his mother, when he was just 7, he hasn’t seen her.
“It’s court appointed that we cannot see each other, and I’ve wanted to keep it that way, just so nothing’s getting brought back up… all the feelings and emotions and the traumas getting brought back into light,” he said.
A.J. added, “It was heartbreaking. You know, she’s my mother. But there was also some relief that what we were going through at the time was finally coming to an end.”

A 40-year-old British man named Vishwash Kumar Ramesh was the sole survivor of the tragic Air India plane crash on June 12, which killed the other 241 passengers on board.
Flight AI171 took off from Ahmedabad Airport in western India and was supposed to get to London Gatwick. Sadly, it crashed just moments after getting off the ground. It departed at 1.39pm local time (9.09am BST) from runway 23.
Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, an experienced pilot with over 8,200 hours of flying, made a frantic final call to the air control tower, asking fro help. “Mayday… no thrust, losing power, unable to lift,” he said desperately.

Now, a simulation that recreated the crash showed how he managed to escape death nearly unharmed.
Namely, according to a video posted on YouTube by AiTelly, Kumar Ramesh could have escaped the plane in two possible ways.
One of the possibilities is that he may have jumped from the plane while it was in the air and descending via the emergency exit, or he could have escaped after the plane crashed through the same door, seconds before it went up in flames.
The simulation also includes possible causes that led to the tragedy, from full loss of power, engine failure, to more.
According to Kumar Ramesh, who has given an interview from the hospital bed, he managed to unbuckle himself from the seat and pushed an opening using his leg.
“When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran,” he said to local news media, as per Reuters. “There were pieces of the plane all around me. Someone grabbed hold of me and put me in an ambulance and brought me to the hospital.”

He said that he didn’t remember much, but said he had heard a “loud noise” and saw “flickering lights” inside the plane just seconds after takeoff.
“I saw people dying in front of my eyes – the air hostesses, and two people I saw near me,” he said. “For a moment, I felt like I was going to die too, but when I opened my eyes and looked around, I realised I was alive.
“I still can’t believe how I survived. I walked out of the rubble.”

Archaeologists have discovered a 1,700-year-old stone engraving in a site with references to the New Testament, where Jesus is believed to have “walked on water.”
The volcanic artifact engraved with Ancient Greek inscriptions can give us new insight into the boundaries of the Roman Empire.
It was discovered in Upper Galilee at Abel Beth Maacah and it is believed to have marked the territory of two previously unknown towns, Tirathas and Golgol, possibly linked to biblical places Gilgal and Golgotha.
Gilgal is mentioned in the Book of Joshua as an Israelite site, while Golgotha is known as the place where Jesus was crucified. Turritha, cited in 19th-century Lebanon, could potentially be the forgotten location of Tirathas.

The discovery suggests that the Roman reach was broader than we have assumed so far.
The stone talks of Caesar Marcus Aurelius Alexander and mentions four people who were managing Rome’s territories at the time.
Professor Uzi of Hebrew University told Mirror: “Finding a boundary stone like this not only sheds light on ancient land ownership and taxation but also provides a tangible connection to the lives of individuals who navigated these complex systems nearly two millennia ago.”

The plane crashed into a medical college hostel, killing a number of people on the ground, as well as those on board.
However, had it not been for the pilot’s final efforts, the death toll could be significantly higher.
Allegedly, the pilot made a split-second decision to avoid the Civil Hospital Ahmedabad, located just over 5km away from Ahmedabad airport.
The medical facility reportedly has over 3,000 beds, so if the plane had crashed there, the loss of lives could have been far greater than what actually occurred.

“Air India AI-171 crashed just 1.7 km from the Ahmedabad airport. It crashed in a somewhat loosely populated area which has doctor’s hostels and mess for medical students of BJMC and Civil Hospital Ahmedabad,” a person wrote on Reddit.
“Just 400 metres north of the crash site is a civil hospital and south just adjacent to the airport wall is a high-density residential area,” they continued.
The investigation is ongoing. However, the Independentreports that the most probable cause of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner’s sudden descent could be an “extremely rare” loss of power from both engines.

Before Matt, who was a devoted father of twin girls, my dating life was a complete mess. But once this man and his daughters became part of my world everything changed.
Matt’s wife passed away when the twins were one year old, and he had been an incredible father to them ever since, making sure they don’t miss out on anything.

Indeed, it was a tiny St. Bernard who poked its head out and started wagging its tail.
I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I used to have a dog just like that that meant the world to me. When I got closer, I noticed a note next to the dog’s blanket.

I haven’t seen my mother in years. For her, I was just an unwanted product of an affair and a period of her life she fought hard to forget. So, when my mom married my step-father and gave birth to a baby boy, her ‘golden son,’ she left me behind.
I was a burden she wasn’t willing to carry so she told my grandmother I was a lot to handle. Had it not been for my grandma who stepped in and took me in, I would have ended up in the foster system.
At the time, I was just 10 years old and still unable to understand why my baby brother deserved all the love and I was pushed aside.
A year after the birth of my brother, my grandma decided to try and fix things for one last time. She and I went to my mom’s for dinner, and when she saw me at the door, she just said, “Oh, you came, too.”
She didn’t expect me, she didn’t even give me a hug or told me she missed me. Nothing.
Instead, she spent the entire time talking how special her son was.
I didn’t hate the baby. He was innocent. But I admit I was jealous of him.
That was the last time I saw my mother and her family.
When I turned 33, my grandma suddenly passed away, leaving a void nothing could ever fill. I felt like my entire world shattered into a million pieces. She was the only person who loved me unconditionally and never left.
My mother didn’t attend the funeral, and it wasn’t something that surprised me because she never stayed in touch.
However, a couple of days after the funeral, she appeared at my door. She was visibly aged, and looked nothing like the woman I remembered. The only thing that was same was her calculating expression.
“Jason knows about you,” she said, without even asking me how I was doing and how I handled my grandma’s loss.
Jason was my half-brother; my mom’s ‘golden son.’
It turned out that my mom, who left me mercilessly when I was still just a child, never told her son about me. He and I only met once, during that final dinner night, when he was still just a baby.
But before her passing, my grandma made sure he learned that he had a sister. What’s more, she told him everything. How my mom left me and chose him and her new husband instead.
Jason didn’t handle the news well. He was mad at my mother for what she did and wouldn’t speak to her and she was now asking me to fix things for her.
“You abandoned me. You erased me. And now you want me to fix it?” I said.
Her tears didn’t sway me. Honestly, I couldn’t care less about that woman, but Jason was another thing. He was my brother, and I only agreed to meet him for his sake.
A few days later, we met at a nearby café. The moment he saw me, he started crying and apologizing. He said he was sorry our mother chose him over me.
I hugged him as tightly as I could. “It’s not your fault,” I said. “She could have loved us both, but she chose to leave me and hide the truth from you.”
I never made amends with my mother, the woman who hurt me deeply, and Jason wasn’t able to forgive her for not telling him I existed.
At the end, he and I remained very close, and our mother was no longer part of our story.

US Secret Service Uniformed Division officers responded to an individual climbing an outer fence along the South Grounds of the White House at approximately 4:20 p.m.
“The White House complex is secured by a combination of uniformed officers, special agents, mission support personnel, and advanced protective systems that ensure continuous vigilance across its 18 acres,” the statement issued by the Secret Service continued. “In line with standard Secret Service protocol, this incident—including security measures and response—will undergo a protective operations review by the agency.”

The man, whose identity hasn’t been revealed, was dressed in an all-black outfit. The footage of the incident taken by a tourist showed the man climbing to the top of the fence. He was also heard saying “F–k it.”
“Saw this pretty surreal thing at the White House today. This man walked by my wife and I as we were taking pics of the White House. He walked by us and said ‘F$ck it’ and started crossing barriers until he reached the White House fence. Seeing the snipers on top scurrying around and dogs racing out on the lawn was wild,” the person who took the footage wrote on X.

The man got stuck on the spikes at the top of the fence and started climbing down when he was swarmed by agents.
It is not certain why the man decided to climb the fence in the first place. The incident remains under a “protective operations review£ by the Secret Service, per agency protocol, the Daily Mailreported.
“This was an isolated incident, and the individual was apprehended within seconds,” a Secret Service spokesperson confirmed in a statement. “At no time was the President or White House staff in danger.”
No information regarding possible charges against the man has been released with the public.

Prince George, the eldest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton, is second in line to the throne after his father, but despite the fact that he’s going to be king one day, his parents tend to provide normal childhood for him and his siblings.

Royal expert Jennie Bond commented on the possible decision for Prince George to attend Eton and said, “The choice of school for the children will tell us a lot about William and Catherine.”

I would applaud a decision to keep them as day pupils at schools nearby their home. But I think both William and Catherine were happy at boarding school. Bond continued: “I imagine it will be all or nothing – in other words, all three will go away to school, or none of them. I will be cheering loudly if they decide to keep their children close and nurture them through their adolescence as they have nurtured them through the young years.”

So, what would it indicate if George were to enroll at Eton? According to The Express’ royal correspondent, Richard Palmer, it would unexpectedly reveal significant insights into Kate’s choices and values.

According to a source, Kate “spent quite a long time talking to two of the teachers there, including the Head of Drama, and was asking them about the drama curriculum and extracurricular activities and what opportunities there might be for appearing in school plays.”
The headteacher of Highgate, Adam Pettitt, issued a warning to parents, asking from them to make the most of screen-free “quality time” for their children. He also spoke of potential ban or limitation on pupils’ mobile phone use until they reach Year 10, or until they turn 14 or 15.
He argued that is it of great importance for students to engage in other activities rather than spending their time in front of a screen.
“Age-based limits on mobile phone use are a welcome first step, but how adults spend time with children is paramount,” Pettitt said, as per GB News. “We must not only limit screen time but actively promote what should replace it. Linda, my MIL, has always been complicated and very much opinionated. She would never miss a chance to make comments on how I dress my kids or how I raise them. But while I got angry because of her behavior, my husband, her only son, developed a defensive mechanism and simply ignored everything she said.
When Linda took a six-week trip to Millbrook, which she called her “soul-searching vacation,” I felt like I had finally found my peace. At the time, my father-in-law—a very reasonable man—was also away on a business trip.
When Linda finally returned and paid a visit, bragging about her trip during which she discovered her artistic side, she was met by my dog’s uncontrollable howling.
It wasn’t Daisy’s typical behavior, and I was really confused as to why she would act like that towards Linda.
But Linda seemed totally different. She didn’t make any remarks, and even said Daisy’s barking was just fine. It didn’t bother her at all because she was just a dog.
I was really confused. It was as though Linda was trying to hide something, but I had no idea what it could be.
In the days that followed, my dog’s barking and howling whenever she saw Linda became even louder. She wouldn’t even let her near the kids.
One day, Linda stopped by and asked to take the kids for the night. Honestly, I didn’t feel at peace with the idea, but she and my husband insisted so I agreed.
“Dave, there is something about your mom that angers Daisy. You know, she’s a German Shepherd and you know they can sense things people can’t,” I told my husband that day. He, however, said I was just paranoid.
As Linda and the kids left the house, Daisy stayed at the window and barked as loud as never before.
A couple of hours later, I decided to go to Linda’s place and check on the kids. I knew she would be mad when she’d see me there, but honestly, I didn’t really care.
When I entered the place, it was completely empty. But that’s when I noticed the door to Linda’s room where she kept some of my children’s toys.
I opened the door and there they were. The kids were on the floor, drawing and painting, while Linda was talking to a man in his thirties.
“Rachel, what are you doing here?” she asked, shocked and confused as though she had seen a ghost.
“Linda, who is this person,” I asked.
She explained that he was Marcus, a man she had met during her trip to Millbrook.
“But why is he here?” I demanded to know.
At first, she claimed that he was an artist she was trying to help boost his career, but eventually, she confessed that she was seeing him for the last couple of months.
She begged me not to tell Dave of her affair, but it wasn’t something I could keep a secret.
That evening, I told Dave everything. He confronted his mother and then told everything to his father. It was a decision he had made himself.
Whether or not Linda and her husband would make amends is something I am not familiar with. I just know that Daisy could sense the scent of someone unfamiliar to her on Linda’s clothes and tried to protect our family at every cost.

Two hours before the fatal crash that claimed the lives of 241 people on board, a passenger who was flying with the doomed plane revealed a chilling video of the interior of the jet.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner had defective TV screens and ‘no air conditioning at all’ when it flew from Delhi to Ahmedabad earlier that day, before taking the tragic flight.

X user Akash Vasta claimed that he had flown on the very same aircraft just two hours before it crashed,according to The Sun.
“I was in the same damn flight 2 hours before it took off from AMD,” he posted on X. “I came in this from DEL-AMD.”
He said that what the unusual things he had noticed may have suggested the plane was defective.
People who have seen his chilling video raised concerns over the airline’s safety standards – it is, however, uncertain if any of the defects of the interior added to the reason of the crash just minutes after takeoff.
In the footage he posted, which has since gone viral, Vasta could be heard saying: “The AC is not working at all.

“And as usual, your TV screens are also not working, neither this button for calling the cabin crew.”
He added: “Nothing is working. Nothing! Not even the light is working.”
He then asked: “Is this what you are providing?”

He complained that it was extremely hot inside the plane and stated, this was why “Air India is considered one of the worst airlines in the world.”
The sole survivor of the crash, passenger Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a British citizen seated in seat 11a, claimed that he jumped off the flaming Air India jet before it crashed.

Another footage taken seconds before the plane crashed and turned into a ball of flames showed a mysterious object flying from the aircraft.
Many speculate that it could be one of the plane’s emergency doors – possibly the one next to which Ramesh was sitting.
The tragic incident is still under inverstigation.

Tragic crash of a twin-engine Cessna 414 near Point Loma, a peninsula in San Diego, on Sunday afternoon claimed the lives of all six people on board.
According to NBCSanDiego, the small jet set off from San Diego International Airport and was headed towards Phoenix, Arizona.
The plane never made it to its final destination and a chilling cockpit audio revealed that the engine’s pilot made an emergency call to air traffic control shortly after takeoff.
According to the audio message obtained by CBS 8, the jet wasn’t gaining the needed altitude and the pilot was told he was clear to land on North Island Navy Station.

The pilot, who was identified as Landon Baldwin, made two attempts to redirect the aircraft to the US naval airport,but two minutes later, he was heard saying, “Mayday, Mayday, Mayday!”
When the plane was at 1,000 feet above the water, the controller urged the pilot to climb to 4,000 feet, KTAR reports.
“Climb immediately,” they could be heard telling Baldwin before establishing the contact has been lost.
The US Coast Guard launched an extensive search and rescue operation at the place where the debris was located about five miles offshore.

The identities of those on board have been released. One of the passengers was Baldwin’s wife, Tori Baldwin. The rest of the passengers are a father, George ‘Jeremy’ Bingham, and his three adult sons from Arizona, Bailey (26), Gavin (24), and Ayden (20).
“This devastating loss has left behind a heartbroken family,” the fundraiser for the Bingham family organized by Hope Lofgreen, said.

The Cessna 414 aircraft was owned by the company Optimal Health Services until 2023 when they sold it to a private owner.

Doug Grant, the founder of the company, expressed his condolences.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the accident near San Diego on June 8th, 2025, regarding a Cessna 414 aircraft, tail number N414BA.
“We personally know several of the passengers onboard, and our sincerest condolences are offered to those affected by the tragedy, all of whom are incredible members of our small community.”
A witness of the crash told NBC 7 that the jet descended and then climbed briefly before plunging into the water.
“I saw him come down at an angle. He wasn’t flying straight to the ground,” Tyson Wislofsky told the outlet. “The next time he came out of the clouds, he went straight into the water. But after I saw this splash, about six seconds later, it was dead silent.
“I knew that they went in the water, nose first, at a high speed.”
The San Diego plane crash is under investigation.

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump appeared at the Kennedy Center Wednesday night where they attended a premiere of “Les Misérables” performed by understudies.
They were accompanied by Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha.
When Trump walked the red carpet with Melania ahead of the show, a reporter asked him how he felt about the actors’ plan to boycott his presence.
“I couldn’t care less, all I do is run the country well,” he said.

The United States Attorney’s Office released a statement regarding the arrest of Kevin Dominguez, a 26-year-old Texas resident who drove a sedan to the U.S. Border Patrol immigration checkpoint, located on U.S. Highway 57.
As he approached the checkpoint, a trained Border Patrol canine signaled the presence of something being carried in the vehicle’s trunk.
Upon inspection, it was determined there was a person inside.
Instead of complying with the border personnel, Dominguez “backed up and struck the agent with the vehicle before fleeing the checkpoint,” prompting a high-speed chase.
A helicopter was involved in the chase and the two individuals were spotted leaving the vehicle and running in an open field. One of them was a nondocumented noncitizen from Honduras.
Dominguez was arrested in the federal action and charged with one count of assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers or employees.
He was sentenced in a federal court in Del Rio to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty.
It is clear that the government has strengthened border control which can be clearly seen with the surge in enforcement actions across Texas. These actions involve targeted raids and high-profile prosecutions involving serious crimes, large-scale smuggling operations, and individuals with criminal records among the rest.
So far, dozen of citizens believed to be involved in criminal acts of organized smuggling operations have been arrested.
This highlights the administration’s zero-tolerance policy and signal a broader crackdown aimed stopping illegal border crossings and prosecute networks that exploit the system.
However, while many see these operations by Trump’s government as a way of strengthening national security, human right advocates warn that the government may not be following proper legal steps and might be using too much power.

Jennifer Garner was spotted talking to a wheelchair-bounded homeless man at California’s Santa Monica Pier.
Before getting out of her car, she first handed the man a snack pack through the window of her vehicle. They chatted for a couple more seconds before she approached him and started putting socks on his feet.
She then took off one of her shoes and tried to put it on the man’s foot. However, she realized it was too small.

The pilots of the Air India flight that crashed minutes after taking off with 242 people on board have been identified as Captain Sumeet Sabharwal and First Officer Clive Kunder.
Photos of them have been shared on the social media as details of their desperate mayday call emerged.
Flight AI171 took off from Ahmedabad Airport in western India and was supposed to get to London Gatwick. Sadly, it crashed just moments after getting off the ground. It departed at 1.39pm local time (9.09am BST) from runway 23.
The emergency call made by Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, an experienced pilot with over 8,200 hours of flying, happened shortly after takeoff. “Mayday… no thrust, losing power, unable to lift,” he said desperately.

India’s aviation regulator confirmed the pilot’s mayday call to air traffic control. However, there was no response from the plane after that.
Despite obvious efforts, the pilots failed to raise the plane’s nose. It crashed just 1.5 miles past the runway, in the crowded Meghani Nagar area of Gujarat’s city.
It has been confirmed that there has only bee one survivor, passenger Vishwash Kumar Ramesh who was believed to be in seat 11a.

229 passengers and 12 crew members have been reported dead, according to Air India.
“Air India confirms that flight AI171, operating from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick on 12 June 2025, was involved in an accident. The 12-year-old Boeing 787-8 aircraft departed from Ahmedabad at 1338 hrs, carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew,” they wrote in a statement on X.
The Chairman of the company, Natarajan Chandrasekaran, expressed his condolences. “With profound sorrow I confirm that Air India flight, AI171 operating Ahmedabad London Gatwick was involved in a tragic accident today. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the families and loved ones of all those affected by this devastating event.”

While I was waiting near the folding chairs for over twenty minutes for my father to arrive, the father-daughter dance had already begun and everyone was dancing. Even the school’s janitor, Mr. Wheeler, took the stage together with his niece, feeling like the happiest man on Earth.

They divorced some years ago and things hadn’t been smooth for neither of us ever since.

We had the most amazing time that night. I even forgot that he wasn’t there on time because I knew he was doing his best to be as present as possible.
When he was about to drop me home, my father turned to me and said, “Honey, there is something you need to know. When I stopped by at mom’s place before I arrived at the dance party, she told me she was moving to St. Louis, and she’s taking you with her. But I won’t allow that. Not if you don’t want to go there yourself.”
I froze. Moving places wasn’t something I wanted at the time. All my friends were here, my school, the teachers I got to love.
“But don’t think about that now. We’ll see how things will turn out,” my dad said as he stopped by our favorite pizza place on the way home.
My mom requested a sole custody of me, and my father fought that at court.
Eventually, they determined I was old enough to make my own judgement and decide who to stay with. When I talked to a guardian ad litem, I explained that my father wasn’t always there, but when he was, he was fully committed. And mom, she meant well, but she sometimes failed to listen.
Going to St. Louis seemed like e huge thing at the time, and I decided to stay with my father.
Mom was sad and disappointed, but she eventually came to terms with my decision. She did move, but she visited on the weekends.
Today I’m in college and living on my own. My relationship with both my parents is a healthy one. The most important of all is that I know they are there for me.
And as of my dad, ever since that father-daughter dance, he never failed to show up.

The car crash that left me scarred for life changed my life forever. The sound of a shattering glass resonated deeply with me as I was doing my best to recover from the trauma.
My scar, fresh and still red in some places, ran from just above my left eyebrow down past my cheek and ended near my jawline. For weeks, I avoided the mirror and couldn’t stand looking at my own face while my family and friends tried to comfort me. “That scar is a symbol of resilience and a second chance in life,” my mom would say.
Deep down, however, I was scared of the stares from strangers. I didn’t want people to look at me and wonder why I looked the way I did. But that scar was now part of me and I had to learn how to live with it.
My dermatologist said it would fade a bit over time, but I knew that my scar was there to stay.
One day, as I boarded a plane to get back home and visit my family, I put my headphones on and drifted off to sleep.
Some time later, I was awoken by the couple arguing next to me. At first, I didn’t understand what they were saying, but it became obvious that they were talking about it.
They judged me instantly, just by looking at me.
The man turned to me and said, “Can’t you cover your face? You make me and my girlfriend uncomfortable. Your appearance is frightening.”
The woman covered her nose with her sweater, and I remained quiet while he called the flight attendant.
“This woman is upsetting us. Please move her to another seat,” the man said, pointing at me.
The flight attendant approached me and asked me if I was all right. I just nodded, unable to say a word without letting tears rolling down my face.
She then turned to the couple and said, “Sir, ma’am, I must ask that you lower your voices and show respect for your fellow passengers. she said in a firm yet courteous tone.
“We are all here to travel in comfort and peace, and your comments are causing unnecessary disturbance.”
But the couple persisted. They demanded I change seats.
The flight attendant left and that’s when the captain‘s voice echoed. “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your flight attendant speaking. We ask that you please maintain a respectful tone and refrain from any further comments that may be hurtful or discriminatory. Thank you.”
I was offered a seat at business class. Not because the flight attendant wanted to please the couple’s outrageous demand but because she thought I deserved to spend the rest of the flight in peace.
That day, I learned that there will always be someone there who would stare at me and question my beauty, but I know that the true beauty comes from the inside and is inspired by resilience and self-love.

President Donald Trump bragged about the results of his first physical examination since taking Office for the second time. The tests also included cognitive assessment.
“I took a cognitive test. And I don’t know what to tell you, other than I got every answer right. I took just a lot of different tests, having to do with the heart, having to do with other things,” Trump said in April.
Dr. Sean Barbabella, who performed the five-hour medical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, declared Trump “fully fit.”

“President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” Barbabella wrote in his report regarding the test results. “He remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function.

However, despite these results, fears over Trump’s health started growing after a “catheter” was spotted in his pants during a White House event.
Trump attended the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on June 9 and a couple of photos of him that were shared online caught the attention of many who claimed he was having what appeared to be a “catheter.”

“These conspiracy theories peddled by demented individuals hiding behind social media, and now being given a platform by the fake news, clearly suffer from a debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. These are the same people who have been caught trying to gaslight the American people for years by saying Joe Biden was cognitively fine, when in fact, he was in much worse condition than thought.”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the arrest of two Ukrainian nationals who voted in the US elections illegally.
The arrests were made with the help of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) when Elon Musk was still the head of the department.
Svitlana Demydenko, 53, and her daughter Yelyzaveta, 22, the Ukrainian nationals under arrest, entered the US in April 2021 with non-immigrant visas.
While residing in Florida in August 2024, the mother and daughter registered to vote through a process that demands citizenship certification. They, however, bypassed this check and got to vote in the 2024 General Election.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem said in a social media post, “In partnership with @DOGE, @ICEgov arrested two Ukrainian nationals for illegally VOTING in the 2024 election.”
She added that, “Under President Donald Trump, if you come to our country and break our laws, you will face the consequences.”

A London-bound passenger plane crashes shortly after takeoff in the city of Ahmedabad, India, with 242 passengers on board.
Footage of the deadly crash showed the Air India Boeing 787-8 flying low above a residential area before crashing and turning into a ball of flames.
According to reports from Sky News and Flightradar24, a flight tracking website, the plane lost communication. The location of the collision — the heavily populated residential neighbourhood of Meghani Nagar located outside Ahmedabad Airport in Gujarat — was identified by tall smoke columns. First responders rushed to the scene in a matter of seconds.
Indian Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu responded swiftly, saying, “I am personally monitoring the situation and have directed all aviation and emergency response agencies to take swift and coordinated action. Rescue teams have been mobilized. All efforts are being made to ensure medical aid and relief support are being rushed to the site. My thoughts and prayers are with all those on board and their families.”
Gatwick-bound plane crashes in India with 242 on board
According to the initial police report about the tragedy, there have been no survivors. However, as rescue teams continued their extensive search, Ahmedabad police commissioner, G.S. Malik said there could be survivors.
Among those who escaped death is 40-year-old Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a British national.
Unverified videos show Ramesh, who was believed to be in seat 11a, talking to the locals.
He was reported saying, “Thirty seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly.”

Krishna, a doctor who hasn’t revealed his full name spoke of the tragedy. “One half of the plane crashed into the residential building where doctors lived with their families. The nose and front wheel landed on the canteen building where students were having lunch,” he said.
Gatwick Airport issued a statement: “We can confirm that flight AI171 that crashed on departure from Ahmedabad Airport today was due to land at London Gatwick at 18:25.”
Julian Bray, an aviation specialist, told the Daily Mail: “It’s a Boeing Dreamliner that has gone down—not certain whether they’ve managed to get anybody off the plane. If it has indeed crash-landed and they can deploy the chutes out, then they should be able to get people off in 90 seconds. I am aware there are fire appliances in attendance—this is a major incident. It is very disappointing that it is a Dreamliner as it is a state-of-the-art Boeing. We cannot rule out security issues. But this is all speculation on my part.”

Jason Knight, senior lecturer in fluid mechanics at the University of Portsmouth, shared his thoughts on the possible cause of the tragic crash. “It is very unlikely that the plane was overweight or carrying too much fuel. The aircraft is designed to be able to fly on one engine, so the most likely cause of the crash is a double engine failure. The most likely cause of a double engine failure is a bird strike.”
The investigation is ongoing.
