Mom gives birth to dead daughter – as she holds baby girl in her arms, husband whispers words she’ll never forget

Experiencing a miscarriage is one of the most painful and heartbreaking events a person can endure. It provokes feelings of sadness, immense grief, and sometimes guilt.

Many parents to be experience shock and disbelief upon learning of the miscarriage as the mind struggles to process the devastating news of change of circumstance. All of a sudden, it feels like all the dreams have been shattered like a piece of glass. Anxiety about future pregnancies is also present, which adds to the difficulty of the situation.

Sadly, the number of couples who have gone trough this devastating experience is huge and although every person deals with the loss in their own way, the pain is almost always the same, and it hardly goes away.

Whitney Quinton and her husband Brett welcomed a son in their lives, but they always dreamed of having more children. Unfortunately, Whitney experienced health issues, including endometriosis, for which she had undergone a surgery, and falling pregnant again was difficult.

After some years, and a miscarriage, she did learn she was carrying a baby and only hoped for the best.

During the first couple of weeks everything seemed normal. But one day, while at a regular check-up, Whitney waited for the scans way longer than usual and that was the first sign that something was wrong.

“I started getting worked up while we waited and my husband tried to reassure me it would be okay,” she explained to Love What Matters.

“My mind was going a thousand miles a minute thinking about all of the things she could have and how scared I was.”

The news that followed was dreadful. Their daughter’s heart was at a different spot, she was missing a kidney, and her long bones were not growing. The scans also showed severe abnormalities with her limbs. 

“[The radiologist] then stated in very direct terms, ‘You can terminate this pregnancy in the next three weeks if you are unable to handle this,'” Whitney wrote. 

“I let out a scream I didn’t even know I was capable of. I fell to my knees and kept screaming and I immediately had sheets of tears streaming down my face. My husband continued to rub my back while he too wept.”

The following two weeks were extremely difficult; both physically and emotionally. She and her husband were tired and heartbroken. 

Whitney underwent plenty of tests and they all showed that in case their daughter survived by any chance, she would have a very low quality of life. 

“Day and night, my husband and I cried. We felt like we had nothing left to give. Selfishly, we wanted her.

“To us, she was perfect even though there were so many complications with her health. It didn’t matter to us. But as parents you learn that it’s not about what’s best for you, it’s about what’s best for her and what she would want.”

They turned to God and prayed all the time, hoping to be given some clarity about the decision they were about to make.

“Two days later, we agreed that neither she nor I needed to suffer for one more minute. The induction was scheduled for a few days later, and the evening came for me to take the medication to induce labour. I would be delivering her the next day.

“I had blurred vision and was so gravely ill that I told Brett I loved him many times in case I died, I was supposed to attend my work party the night before as I thought it would be better to have a distraction instead of sobbing all evening. Whitney’s experience delivering her baby was, as expected, both painful and traumatic.

“I woke up and the nurse came to check on me. In my sleep, our daughter, Ruby-Jo, had arrived,” she wrote. 

“The doctor came in to pick up her tiny, 1- pound, lifeless body and I went into complete shock.”

At that moment, she was overwhelmed by feelings of extreme sadness, anger, and guilt. 

In the midst of her heartbreak, her husband whispered words she would never forget.

“Whits, it’s okay. You did it,” he told her. “She’s finally home and she’s perfect. She’s with our family in Heaven, and she’s not in pain anymore. I am so proud of you.”

“Not a day has gone by that I don’t think about the words my husband said to me that day,” Whitney wrote. “He saved me then, and his words continue to save me daily when I fight demons with the Earth-shattering decision we had to make for her.”

“She is sealed to our family and, someday in Heaven, we will all be reunited,” Whitney wrote.

“I will embrace her and I know she will thank us for relieving her of all of her suffering. We will thank her for teaching us how to turn to God, to have more compassion, and be there for others during tragedies to lift them up.”

Willie Nelson’s son Lukas sings ‘Always On My Mind,’ sounds exactly like his legendary dad

When it comes to Willie Nelson and his son Lucas, it’s safe to say that “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

The truth is that a great number of children, especially those whose moms and dads are celebs, tend to follow into their parents’ footsteps, and Lucas Nelson isn’t an exception.

Well, the great thing about this young musician is that great vocal abilities run in the family.

Having a dad who happens to be a 10-time Grammy winner and one of the most renowned country singers there are means having big shoes to fill, but Lucas is doing one hell of a job achieving that.

He learned how to play the guitar at the age of 13 and joined his dad’s band as a rhythm guitarist.

Today, Lucas, the talented artist who wrote the music for the remake of A Star is Born starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, is part of the band Promise of the Real which he founded in 2008.

When Neil Young heard the band perform at Farm Aid 2014, he invited them to record with him in the studio, which marked the start of a long-lasting collaboration.

That Lucas is an incredible musician whose vocal resembles that of his father a lot could be seen from a video of him performing the classic Always On My Mind.

The video of Lucas singing one of his father’s most famous songs captured the attention of millions. Many say that if you listen to it with closed eyes, you can easily mistake him for his dad, and we can’t agree more.

The video of young Nelson’s performance is taken at what appears a small bar. He’s surrounded by friends.

The moment he starts singing, the place is filled with exquisite silence and all eyes, and ears, are on him.

In times in which music tastes change quickly, having the persistence presence of the likes of Willie Nelson and the new generation consisting of his offspring proves yet again that the genuine talent transcends time.

Lucas’ ability to pass on his emotions to those around him is worth all the praise.

We hope he would be able to leave a mark in the world of music as profound as that left by his father.

Meghan Markle’s 2 demands before ever reconciling with Prince William and Kate Middleton revealed by expert

When it comes to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their relationship with the rest of the royals one thing is certain, it’s a rocky one. Over the years, words have been said and bridges have been burnt and not many believe that any form of reconciliation is on the horizon.

When they announced their decision to step down from their royal duties, the spokesperson of Harry and Meghan said in a statement: “As evidenced by their work over the past year, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain committed to their duty and service to the U.K. and around the world, and have offered their continued support to the organisations they have represented regardless of official role.”

However, Queen Elizabeth herself had “written confirming that in stepping away from the work of the Royal Family, it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service,” the announcement by the palace said. It added: “While all are saddened by their decision, the Duke and Duchess remain much loved members of the family.”

U.K. media, as well as many influential international magazines, have slammed their decision to split from the royal family, but both Harry and Meghan believed it was the best thing to do when it came to their family. During the Oprah interview that caused a stir on the social media, Harry once again defended their decision to move from Britain because he didn’t want “history repeating itself,” referring to his late mother.

According to Meghan, before the split with the Firm, she and Harry allegedly asked for a permission to move to another country in the Commonwealth, perhaps South Africa or Canada. However, the answer was a resounding no.

“Anything to just … because just by existing, we were upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy. So we go, ‘Okay, fine, let’s get out of here. Happy to,’” Meghan recalled during an interview with The Cut.

In January of last year, Harry published his much-anticipated all-tell memoir Spare which sold in a staggering 1.4 million copies on its first day in the UK, United States, and Canada. Spare has been released in 16 different languages worldwide.

“We always knew this book would fly, but it is exceeding even our most bullish expectations,” Larry Finlay, managing director of Transworld Penguin Random House, said.

“As far as we know, the only books to have sold more in their first day are those starring the other Harry (Potter).”

Despite that the need for privacy and more quiet life was one of the reasons why Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties and left Britain behind, they haven’t stopped giving interviews and speaking of the members of the Firm.

In his book, among the rest, Harry wrote that following the birth of Prince George, he wasn’t welcomed in the home of William and Kate in a way he expected he would be, despite the fact they lived within a walking distance to one another. He also labeled Camilla “dangerous” and spoke of the argument between Kate and Meghan at the time of Harry and Meghan’s wedding, the one the world first learned about during the infamous Oprah interview when Meghan revealed that Kate made her cry.

However, now that Charles and Kate both fight cancer, it has been reported that Harry and Meghan reached out to them in separate occasions.

Many hope that this difficult time for the royal family would also be the time when olive branches are offered from both sides.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward has indicated that Meghan Markle has two specific demands for reconciliation, one of which is a “groveling apology.” Seward also highlighted Prince William’s position, noting that he also insists on a genuine apology from Harry for the perceived years of disrespect towards him and Kate.

According to another royal expert, Tom Quinn, doubts the possibility of reconciliation, citing Meghan’s belief that Kate should have offered her more support during her time as a working royal.

Recent events, such as Kate Middleton’s health issues, have not eased tensions. Although there have been suggestions for a joint family gathering, Meghan’s reluctance and unresolved grievances continue to impede progress.

Prince Harry’s upcoming visit to the UK for the Invictus Games anniversary event could potentially facilitate interaction, but Meghan’s concerns about her children’s safety and the unresolved issues pose significant hurdles.

Given the complexity of the feud and the demands for apologies from both sides, the possibility of reconciliation remains uncertain.

Steve Martin announces his retirement from acting – ‘Once you get to 75, there’s not a lot left to learn’

After a career which spanned six decades, legendary actor and comedian Steve Martin was ready to call it quits. But then a new show came, Only Murders in the Building, earning him three Emmy nominations. What followed was a stage show, a new book, and plenty more projects, but this time, he is truly winding his career down.

This incredibly versatile man became a household name when he joined the cast of “Saturday Night Live.” His immense acting talent and his wit took his career to a whole new level and he became a familiar face on our screens, bringing laughter to millions of fans.

Martin has plenty of awards under his belt and the list of films he played in throughout the course of his career is relatively long.

Among the rest, he’s known for classics such as ‘Pink Panther’, ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’, and ‘Father of the Bride,’ among the rest.

As most people tend to retire when they reach the age of sixty-something, Martin didn’t only do projects and films at that age, but he also became a father for the first time ever when he and wife Anne Stringfield welcomed a daughter in 2012. At the time, Martin was 67.

Speaking of the decision to pack up his career, Martin said, “There’s a time in your career when people are dying to see you… Now is the time in my career when I’m the one who’s got to show up.”

When it comes to his show Only Murders in the Building, Martin created alongside John Hoffman, starring Martin himself, singer-actress Selena Gomez, and Martin Short, the 77-year-old comedian told Variety, “I’m very happy with my character not growing. They always say, ‘What’s the arc of the character? What does he learn?’ Once you get to 75, there’s not a lot left to learn, there’s only more mistakes. So I don’t worry about those things. [It’s about] being true to the character. If Marty Short is true to Oliver, and I’m true to Charles, then we can’t go wrong. They’re real people.”

He then added, “When this television show is done, I’m not going to seek others. I’m not going to seek other movies. I don’t want to do cameos. This is, weirdly, it.”

Fiancé vanishes on wedding day leaving bride at the altar — One day she gets a message request from him

On what should have been the happiest day of her life, a bride’s world crumbled when her fiancé disappeared without a trace, leaving her stranded at the altar.

This unexpected action from the man whom she dreamed of spending her life with shattered the illusion of their perfect relationship, plunging her into a whirlwind of confusion and heartache.

Despite her desperate attempts to contact him, all of her calls and messages went unanswered, leaving her in a state of profound shock and despair.

Her life suddenly turned into a surreal nightmare as she found herself standing alone in her wedding dress, seeking solace on the cold tiles of the bathroom floor.

The painful truth came to light when Derek’s mother tearfully revealed that he had rekindled a relationship with his ex just days before the wedding, choosing to get back to her instead. Learning this was a huge blow to the bride, who felt anger, betrayal, and struggled with feelings of abandonment.

In an attempt to find solace and guidance, the woman sought refuge in the anonymity of the internet, grappling with conflicting desires for closure while also fearing the prospect of reopening old wounds. Over a year since she was left at the alter Derek reached out to her again.

His unexpected message on social media reopened old wounds, forcing her to confront her past once again. The fact that he was ware of her whereabouts sent shivers down her spine.

“Hey… I’ve heard you moved to Wales, that’s so cool, I’m [traveling] to Cardiff towards of the end of July. I’m deeply sorry about everything and I want to discuss what happened leading up to the wedding.”

Despite initial hesitation, she agreed to meet him, seeking closure and resolution.

The meeting was a hard time for the woman. Derek revealed that his ex passed away and he was left to take care of the child he shared with her all by himself. Additionally, he offered the woman financial compensation for the wedding expenses.

She decided to forget all about being left at the alter and not let that burden her any longer. Instead, she decided to embrace her life free from her past pain and feelings.

No one expects 16-year-old to sound just like Elvis Presley – then he takes the mic

There are some artists, whether singers, actors, or another type of performers, who leave an impact so profound that their legacy lives on long after they are no longer around.

Take Elvis Presley for example. No matter how good someone is when it comes to creating music and performing it, there will always be only one king.

Elvis Presley gave the world some of the best hits like Jailhouse Rock, In The Ghetto, Hound Dog and Love Me Tender, which are incredibly popular until this very day and will likely be listened to and enjoyed by many future generations.

With this said, it doesn’t come as a surprise that many singers and performers sing his songs during concerts and on music talent shows.

When Benedikt Köstler, a 16-year-old from Germany, appeared on the German’s version of The Voice and said he would be singing Always On My Mind by the late Elvis Presley, the judges probably didn’t expect the sort of performance he treated them with.

Young Benedikt, however, was more than ready to steal the spotlight.

The moment he hit the first few tones of the iconic piece of music, the judges were completely stunned. All five of them hit their buzzer to turn around and see him finish the song.

“The best version I’ve ever heard of this song. His voice is unique!” one person commented. “So much perfection in one performance. God!” another added.

Popular comedian died in a ‘freak’ accident

Tony Knight, a comedian and a ‘dog listener’ passed away unexpectedly in a ‘freak’ accident. A family member confirmed that the British comic, who resided in Australia, died in June while attending the Rock ‘n’ Cars Festival in Lavaur, France.

“He was only 54 and having the time of his life,” the family member told Fox Digital News.

“He was fit, healthy, happy and had everything going for him, he was charismatic, funny, passionate and so very loved by [his partner] Hayley, his family and his friends all over the world.”

According to the French media, Tony was the only person injured when a large tree branch fell onto him and five other people.

He later died of the injuries he sustained. Local authorities are currently investigating the accident that claimed his life.

Fans of the comedian shared their condolences on the social media. “Disturbing news regarding Tony Knight. Tragic incidents are often difficult to hear about. It’s important to remember how much happiness and laughter his comedy brought to so many people,” one person wrote on Facebook.

“It’s insane that you don’t know when or how you’ll spend your final day on earth. Truly mind-boggling. Unusual incidents,” another added. “May your love rest peacefully. My heartfelt sympathies to your friends and family,” a third shared their condolences.

Tony’s lifelong partner, Hayley Wright, set up a GoFundMe page in his memory to help cover funeral and hospital expenses. By July 5, the fundraiser had collected over $8,000 of its $20,000 goal.

Tony had been preparing for a UK comedy tour in the months before his death.

He was also well-known for his love of dogs and referred to himself as a “dog listener” on his website. Hayley’s sister mentioned on the GoFundMe page that Tony “helped people all over the world” learn new ways to communicate with their pets.

The comedian was set to embark on a series of shows in the UK called Mad Dogs and an Englishman, which was also scheduled to appear at the Edinburgh Fringe. The show was marketed as “The world’s first-ever comedy show about dog behavior. Stand up (and sit).”

Remembering Clint Eastwood’s beloved partner

Oscar-winning actor Clint Eastwood is mourning the loss of his long-time girlfriend Christina Sandera.

Her death, confirmed on July 19, was attributed to a heart attack, with the Monterey County Health Department listing cardiac arrhythmia, an abnormal heart rhythm, and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease as contributing factors. At the time of her passing, Sandera was 61.

She and Eastwood, the iconic Dirty Harry actor, were a couple for the past decade.

Eastwood paid his tributes to his late partner in a heartfelt statement shared through the local Carmel Pine Cone newspaper. “Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” he wrote.

Their relationship started shortly after Eastwood’s nearly 20-year marriage to his second wife, Dina, ended. The couple often kept their romance private.

They reportedly met when Sanders was a hostess at his Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, which later became their sanctuary.

Eastwood’s daughter, Morgan Eastwood, also paid tribute to Sandera after her passing. “A devastating loss for our whole family. Thank you Christina for being a good partner to my Dad (red heart emoji) you will be missed.”

Sandera stood by Eastwood’s side during significant events, particularly those related to his films. Their first public appearance together was at the 2015 Oscars when Eastwood’s movie American Sniper received several nominations, including Best Picture.

She remained a steadfast supporter of her partner throughout their relationship. In 2017, they attended the Cannes Film Festival together, highlighting their close bond. The following year, she accompanied Eastwood and his entire family to the premiere of his film The Mule, underscoring her significant presence in both his personal and professional life.

Mom angry after finding teacher’s ‘warning’ message on her 7-year-old daughter’s homework

One mam shared her 7-year-old daughter’s worksheet from school and the teacher’s remark on it caused quite a stir on the social media. Namely, the girl, Alyssa, was warned not to write in cursive.

“Stop writing your name in cursive. You have been warned several times,” her teacher wrote on the paper.

According to many, although cursive is not prioritized at all schools, it does take time and practice to excel it so Alyssa should have been praised for writing in cursive, not warned not to do it.

While teachers must be respected, discouraging a child like Alyssa from practicing cursive seems unjust.

Rather than sending discouraging notes, teachers should give constructive feedback to students who choose to master this intricate art.

They should recognize the child’s dedication to cursive writing and offer positive reinforcement. Though not emphasized everywhere, cursive deserves recognition for the important skills it imparts to young learners.

Bull was chained up his whole life – now watch when this animal hero cuts the lock

Bandit the bull spent all his life tied to a chain. Sadly, he never got the chance to experience freedom and liberty.

But now, after so many years of imprisonment, this was all about to change.

Dedicating his life to rescuing animals and providing them with love and kindness, sanctuary worker Christian was determined to set Bandit free the moment he stumbled upon his story.

He knew that too many bulls share the life of Bandit, but he was willing to change that one animal at a time.

So, when he first saw Bandit, Christian took some very careful steps wanting to make sure the bull knows he’s not there to harm him in any way. Gently patting him on the head, Christian tried to gain Bandit’s trust, and he eventually succeeded in his plan.

The moment Christian removed the shackles form Bandit’s feet, the animal just couldn’t contain his joy. He performed a touching ‘dance of freedom’ and seeing him experiencing that liberating feeling for the first time ever just melted our hearts.

We hope more chained animals would be able to get what Bandit got as soon as possible.

12 kids placed their parents in situations they’ve never been in before!

A heartwarming tale of a lost toy and kindness

Kindness makes the world go round. It is an act that always goes a long way as it positively impacts both the giver and the receiver, fostering a sense of community and a connected society.

A mom named Helen shared a heartwarming story about the lengths one company went in order to return a precious toy.

Namely, Helen and her young son Blake was having a blast at the Pleasureland Amusements arcade in Whitby, Yorkshire. The day was filled with joy and laughter, but sadly, once they went home, they realized Blake’s favorite toy, a purple sloth toy, Slothy, was left behind.

In an attempt to track the toy down, Helen contacted the arcade, but she was told that no such toy had been turned in to lost and found.

Blake was extremely sad because he had Slothy from the day he was born and the toy meant the world to him.

Helen tried to purchase another toy exactly like Slothy, but her attempts were to no avail.

Suddenly, she received an unexpected message from Pleasureland Amusements: Slothy had been found!

Overjoyed, she shared the news with Blake, who beamed with happiness. She asked if the staff could mail Slothy back, as they were not local. Luckily, they happily agreed, and a few days later, a parcel arrived.

The package arrived with several other surprises. There were two other toys and three packages of candy. The touching note that came with Slothy read, “We thought Pablo (as we called him before knowing he was Slothy) might get scared during his journey, so we sent him with a friend and some snacks to share when he got back home safe and sound. We also included a fidget pop to keep him from getting bored. We hope Pablo, alias Slothy, remains safe in the future.”

Helen was beyond grateful for this kind act that she decided to share the story and the note on her Facebook page. She praised the kindness by the staff at Pleasureland and encouraged her friends to visit the place.

In no time, her post attracted the attention of hundreds of people who were moved to tears by the heartwarming story.

The staff at Pleasureland were met with widespread appreciation, including a “five gold stars” rating from one reader.

It is stories like this that restore our faith in humanity.

A true hero: Mom straps baby in carseat and tosses her out second-story window just seconds before taking her final breaths

Nothing really beats mother’s love, don’t you think so? When a woman gives birth, her whole life changes and all that matters is the well-being of her bundle of joy. There is literally nothing a mom wouldn’t do for her child, and this sad and heartwarming story is just another proof of that. 

Shelby Ann Carter, a 21-year-old woman from Wyoming, Ill, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in January 2017. She and her boyfriend couldn’t be happier with the new addition to their family. Things just felt perfect for these new parents. 

But you know what they say. Things don’t always turn out the way we want and expect. Sadly, the life of this loving family turned upside down as a result of a devastating tragedy.

On January 30, the mom and her baby were staying at Shelby’s mother’s house where they lived when suddenly the place caught fire. 

The flames were spreading so quickly that the whole house got filled with heavy smoke and there was no way out. 

Firefighters came at the scene as quickly as they could and did all in their power to put the flames under control, but unfortunately, it was already way too late for Shelby to be saved. She died due to carbon monoxide poisoning. 

In the midst of the panic, Shelby tried to save her baby girl and everyone was left stunned when they realized what this mother did before she lost her life. 

Once she realized it was impossible for them to get out of the house, Shelby put the baby into the carseat, made sure she was secured with the belts, and then dropped her from the second-floor window. This woman didn’t care for her own life as long as her daughter would survive. This is sort of sacrifice only a mother can make. 

The moment the firefighters spotted the little soul, they rushed her to the hospital, praying she didn’t suffer any serious injuries from the fall. Luckily, baby Keana was completely unscathed thanks to her mommy’s love and quick-thinking. 

“It’s just incredible that she was able to pull her thoughts together to save her baby… I’d say it’s nothing short of a miracle the way it ended up”, Chief of the Wyoming-Speer Fire Protection District Ed Foglesonger told The Washington Post.

The loss of the young mother was a real tragedy that left the residents of Wyoming grieving. A baby was left without her mommy, and a family was broken forever. 

Members of the community gathered to express their condolences and were willing to help Shelby’s family rebuild their house. After the word about the tragic and heartbreaking event spread, kind-hearted people helped raise almost $40,000 in just a few weeks. 

We are deeply sorry for the loss and we feel sad Keana will never get the chance to meet her heroic mother who saved her life.

Ivy’s childhood was heavily affected by her parents’ broken marriage. The truth about the ring, hidden away like a guilty secret, hinted at a reality Ivy wasn’t ready to face.

Jordan’s ring was inside the box. Mia was telling the truth. At that moment, Ivy felt like her world collapsed. Could she be living her mom’s reality? Was Jordan cheating on her? All those questions kept crossing her mind.

As we journey through the ups and downs of life, we often find ourselves burdened with troubles that weigh heavily on our hearts. In times like these, seeking solace and salvation in Jesus can provide us with the comfort and guidance we so desperately need. Turning to Him in prayer and expressing our faith and surrender allows us to tap into His divine intervention and find the peace we seek.

When faced with troubling circumstances, we can take inspiration from the heartfelt words of those who have walked this path before us. Here is an example of what someone might say when seeking salvation from their troubles:

“Lord Jesus, I come before you with humility and place my unwavering faith and trust in your power and sovereignty. The challenges I face seem overwhelming, and I earnestly seek your deliverance and peace. Grant me the strength to endure, the wisdom to navigate through difficulties, and the tranquility to calm my troubled spirit. Corey Comperatore, the man that lost his life at the Trump rally – He was a father and former fire chief

The spectator killed while shielding his daughter during the assassination attempt on Donald Trump has been identified as 50-year-old Corey Comperatore.

Moments after attempting to assassinate the former president at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, the shooter fired a fatal gunshot. Comperatore, a father and a former fire chief for Buffalo Township, was among the thousands who attended the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, as part of Trump’s 2024 reelection campaign.

Two other spectators, 57-year-old David Dutch and 74-year-old James Copenhaver, sustained serious injuries, and the gunman was killed by Secret Service agents at the scene. The FBI is treating the incident as an assassination attempt, the agency confirmed.

Gov. Josh Shapiro, who ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Comperatore, said that he spoke with Comperatore’s wife and two daughters on Sunday.

“Corey went to church every Sunday,” Shapiro said. “Corey loved his community. Most especially, Corey loved his family.”

Comperatore was an avid supporter of Donald Trump.

“Corey was the very best of us. May his memory be a blessing,” Shapiro added. “Last night was shocking… political disagreements can never, ever be addressed through violence.”

Helen, Comperatore’s wife, shared her husband’s last words, spoken as he shielded his family from bullets that ultimately took his life.

“He’s my hero,” she said. “He just said, ‘Get down!’ That was the last thing he said.”

His sister, Dawn, also spoke of her brother. “The PA Trump Rally claimed the life of my brother, Corey Comperatore. The hatred for one man took the life of the one man we loved the most.” She described her brother as a hero who died saving his daughter’s life. “Hatred has no limits, and love has no bounds. Pray for my sister-in-law, nieces, my mother, sister, me, and his nieces and nephews as this feels like a terrible nightmare but we know it is our painful reality.”

His daughter, Allyson, wrote, “He shielded my body from the bullet that came at us. He loved his family. He truly loved us enough to take a real bullet for us,” describing her father as “a real-life superhero.”

A GoFundMe has been set up to support Comperatore’s family, on behalf of his daughter Allyson. The fundraiser has already raised over $1,336,500.

“Saturday night, our friend and family, Allyson, lost her father due to a senseless, tragic act at the Trump Rally in Butler,” a friend wrote.

“Allyson has been an athlete with us since the beginning.

“She’s a huge part of our community. If you’re able to support her and her family during this time, we will have a spot for donations at the gym. Additionally, please take the time to sign the cards at the desk.”

Utah dad and daughter killed in freak accident, bulldozer flies off tow truck, crushes car

A tragedy in Ogden Canyon claimed the lives of a Utah father and his 16-year-old daughter when their pickup truck was struck by a flying bulldozer.

Reports indicate that Richard Hendrickson, the CEO of Lifetime Products, was in the car with his wife and three children when a tow truck traveling in the opposite direction lost control of the mini bulldozer it was hauling, which then collided with the family’s vehicle.

Hendrickson and his daughter Sally were killed at the spot. The rest of the passengers survived.

The tragic accident took place on Saturday, July 6 while the family were traveling up a narrow two-lane road in Ogden Canyon in eastern Weber County, Utah.

When it tried to turn, about 12:49 p.m, the tow truck hauling heavy equipment was traveling eastbound, as per the Department of Public Safety.

While “negotiating a right-hand curve,” the “bulldozer broke free” from the tow truck and was launched into Hendrickson’s westbound GMC pickup, which was towing a boat.

The surviving passenger were treated for minor injuries.

Tributes from family and friends started pouring in, referring to Hendrickson as to “trusted and cherished” man and a “visionary.”

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic and sudden passing of our CEO and President, Richard David Hendrickson. This heartbreaking incident also claimed the life of one of his daughters, Sally,” Lifetime Products writes in a statement. Describing the man as “more than a company leader,” the statement continues, “He was also a visionary and a friend to many within our business and the wider community.”

Barry Mower, the organization’s founder, contributed to the statement, “He was one of my most trusted and cherished friends and will be sorely missed.”

Utah Governor Spencer Cox expressed his condolences to the family on X, writing, “Richard was a friend and incredible leader. We are heartbroken by his tragic passing with his daughter Sally. We mourn with the surviving members of his family and pray they will find comfort and healing.”

The post of Governor Cox gathered the attention of many. One person commented, “Praying for Richard’s family, this is absolutely senseless! Gov Cox you and your administration MUST do something to strictly regulate and severely penalize unsafe loads.”

Following the tragedy, a petition was initiated to prohibit larger vehicles from using the narrow “two-lane passageway” bordered by the Ogden River on one side and steep mountain cliffs on the other.

As of Tuesday, the petition, which aims to reach 5,000 signatures, had garnered around 3,300. The petition states, “We are raising this petition to enforce regulation on the types of vehicles permitted on Highway 39 that transverses the heart of Ogden Canyon. There is an urgent need to limit the particular categories of vehicles that can drive through this constricted roadway, ensuring the security of all who rely on it.”

I found out that the guy my wife is cheating on me with is covering half of our bills — I outplayed them both

When a person finds out they have been cheated on by their partner, their world crushes into a million pieces. However, one man decided to use his wife’s infidelity to his advantage.

Sharing his story, Tom started by saying that he somehow knew his spouse, Claire, was seeing someone else. There were late-night texts, secretive calls, and sudden work trips. He, however, never confronted her because she was the one providing financial stability and paying for the groceries, covering the rent, the insurance and a lot more.

Divorcing her would ruin him financially so he simply pretended that everything was fine although he had no feelings left for her.

One day, as he was going through the clothes, he found a crumpled credit card receipt from some fancy restaurant in one of Claire’s jackets. The name written on it sound too familiar to ignore; Alex M.

Tom realized that the man Claire was cheating with was one of her father’s rich friends whom he had met a few times at her dad’s birthday parties. He recalled Alex starring at Claire, but he thought he was just friendly. Now, however, he knew better.

That night, he couldn’t sleep burdened by the thought of his wife being with Alex.

In order to learn more, he decided to go through one of her old phones. When he tried the pin, it was their wedding anniversary. “What an irony,” he thought to himself.

There, he found texts Claire had sent to some of her friends. One of those messages read, “I still love Tom but we needed the money. Alex… he’s just a means to an end. Is that terrible?” to what her friend replied, “Girl, you gotta do what you gotta do. But be careful. This could blow up in your face.”

As expected, there were also messages between her and her lover. Alex tried to convince her to leave her husband and be with him, but her responses were always noncommittal. “You know it’s complicated, Alex. Let’s just enjoy what we have.”

As Tom put the phone down, there was this crazy idea that started forming. Could he use this situation to his advantage?

The following day he gathered the courage to give Alex a call. “Hello?” Alex’s deep and confident voice could be heard from the other side of the phone.

“Alex? This is Tom, Claire’s husband,” he said taking a deep breath. The silence from Alex’s side was defeating. After a few seconds he said,  “Tom. What can I do for you?”

Tom cut to the chase. “I know about you and Claire. I know you’re paying our bills. I’m willing to walk away, file for divorce, and let you have her. But I need something from you.”

“And what’s that?” Alex’s voice was guarded. “Fifty thousand dollars. To start over,” Tom answered.

“Why would I give you money?” Alex asked. “Because if I leave her and break her heart, she’ll finally be yours. I just need a fresh start. Think of it as… an investment in your future happiness.”

“You’d do that? Just walk away?” Alex was puzzled.

“Alex, my man, I checked out of this marriage a long time ago. I’m just looking for a way out that doesn’t leave me broke.” He was quiet for so long I thought he’d hung up. Then, “I’ll think about it.”

“Don’t think too long,” Tom said. “Offer expires in 48 hours.”

The next two days were filled with anticipation. Whenever Tom’s phone buzzed, he thought it was Alex, but it was always either his friends or his mom. The evening was quiet, and Claire could sense Tom was bothered by something. Asking him what was wrong, she squeezed his hand. But her touch, that once felt comforting, made his skin crawl. He pulled away, pretending to needed some water.

Finally, someone called. It was Alex. “It’s done,” he said. “Check your account.”

Tom logged into his bank account, and really, there were $50,000 there.

The following day, he was waiting Claire at home, with the divorce papers on the table. His belongings already packed, he told her he knew about her and Alex and that he was leaving her for good.

Claire started crying. She tried to explain to him that Alex was just someone who was paying the bills, but Tom didn’t want to listen.

He checked into a cheap motel and ignored the calls. But just as he was drifting off to sleep, his phone buzzed one more time. Against his better judgment, he checked it. It was Claire. She texted, “I’m sorry. I really did love you.”

Mother finds missing daughter’s bag and discovers where to search — But what happened next

13-year-old girl named Amber went missing and her mother was left in devastation. The police helped as much as they could, and they really did their part, but their efforts seemed futile.

Every knock on the door, every phone call brought new hope, but days went by and there was no trace of Amber. She wasn’t the type to run away, which sadly meant that something happened to her.

The people around Amber’s mum tried to be as sympathetic as possible, but their shrugs and words of consolation did nothing to ease her pain.

One evening, while starring at the horizon and wondering where her girl might be, Amber’s mom noticed a homeless woman carrying a backpack which resembled that of Amber. She rushed towards the woman and asked her to see it, but she wouldn’t let go of it. Amber’s mom recognized the unicorn patch she had sewn on the backpack and begged the woman to tell her where she had found it.

After hesitating for a while, the woman said she had found the backpack inside a dumpster. Amber’s mom then offered her money for it, and the woman agreed to sell it.

Sadly, the backpack was empty. Was this yet another helpless clue?

As she searched it thoroughly over and over again, Amber’s mom noticed a tiny piece of paper with the words “Green House” written on it.

There was a green house in the neighborhood known for its peeling green paint and overgrown yard. It looked as it was abandoned, but there was a woman living there. Or at least the neighbors said so although Amber’s mom has never seen her.

The mom rushed to her car, adrenaline surging through her veins. The road to the Green House seemed like an eternity. A million thoughts ran through Amber’s mom’s mind. Was her daughter really there, if yes, how did she end up at such a place?

The Green House stood ominously against the dusk, its dark shape stark against the sky. The mom abandoned her car and hurried toward the building. The stillness of the air was pierced only by the sound of her hurried steps.

“Amber!” she shouted, her voice resonating through the vacant hallways. “Amber, it’s Mom! Where are you?”

There was a faint sound which the mom followed. In a tiny, dimly lit room, Amber stood all by herself curled up.

“Mom!” she cried. “Oh, Amber, thank God, I found you.”

Trembling with fear, Amber explained that she was taken by the woman who lived in the green house. Sadly, the woman was mentally ill and she was convinced that Amber was the daughter she had lost years ago.

The woman wasn’t violent toward Amber, but she wouldn’t let her leave the place.

Amber was scared and confused. She couldn’t understand why that happened to her.

The police were called to secure the area and confirm that Amber was safe. They took the woman into custody with sensitivity and understanding, recognizing her mental illness. Amber and her mom returned home, and the ordeal came to a close. The relief of having her back was immense. The two embraced tightly, feeling thankful for the second chance they had been granted.

It took some time, but things eventually returned to normal.

Bob Newhart, comedy legend who starred in two classic sitcoms, dead at 94

Comedian Bob Newhart, celebrated for his relatable everyman persona in two iconic TV sitcoms, passed away Thursday morning due to natural causes at the age of 94. Newhart excelled in humor, portraying modest characters who, under different circumstances, would have been delivering setups for someone else’s punchlines.

His death was confirmed by his longtime publicist Jerry Digney, according to whom Newhart died at his home in Los Angeles after “a series of short illnesses.”

Newhart’s career spanned six decades and began with a hugely influential stand-up album in 1960, followed by starring roles in beloved sitcoms throughout the 1970s and 1980s. It was his clean, deadpan humor delivered in a soft-spoken stammer that placed him on the pedestal of the best comedians. Before the filming of The Bob Newhart Show in 1972, the producers suggested he deliver his lines more smoothly to what Newhart responded, “This stammer got me a home in Beverly Hills.”

In later years, he had memorable performances in the film Elf, Catch-22, In & Out, and Disney’s The Rescuers, among the rest.

Born on September 5, 1929, in Oak Park, Illinois, Newhart graduated from Loyola University Chicago and served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954.

Following his military service, Newhart worked as an accountant and advertising copywriter. During this period, he honed the comedic routines that would catapult him to fame, perfecting his “straight man” persona in one-sided phone conversations, reacting to absurd scenarios.

Newhart became a sensation and that helped him laid the foundation for his wildly successful live comedy album, The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart that became the first comedy record to reach #1 on the Billboard Charts and, at the time, was the 20th best-selling album of all time.

At the same time, his album was the first ever comedy album to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, earning Newhart Grammy for Best New Artist.

His show, The Bob Newhart Show, in 1961, which only ran for one season won the Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series.

He found greater success with his first sitcom, The Bob Newhart Show, which aired on CBS for six seasons from 1972 to 1978. The series portrayed the professional and personal life of Newhart’s character, Dr. Bob Hartley, a Chicago psychiatrist.

Newhart achieved rare success with two hit sitcoms: Newhart, where he played Vermont innkeeper and talk show host Dick Loudon, aired from 1982 to 1990.

Newhart concluded with a famously memorable finale, revealing Newhart’s character from The Bob Newhart Show waking up next to his former co-star Suzanne Pleshette, suggesting that the entire series was just a dream of his earlier character.

He also had a memorable recurring role on the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory as the former science TV host “Professor Proton.” For this role, he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, his first Emmy win, which was well-deserved for the TV legend.

Newhart is survived by his four children, Robert Jr., Timothy, Courtney, and Jennifer, along with ten grandchildren. Fans around the world are mourning the loss of this comedic icon, whose work brought joy and laughter to countless people.
