Besides being a renowned artist and a much-loved musician with a career spanning decades, Barbra Streisand is also an outspoken Democrat who has slammed former President Donald Trump publicly over the years.
Speaking to host Stephen Colbert in 2023, Streisand said, “I can’t live in this country if he becomes president,” to what Colbert asked where would she possibly move. “Probably England, I like England,” she answered.
Streisand made a similar statement back in 2016 while speaking to Australian journalist Michael Usher. “I’m either coming to your country, if you’ll let me in, or Canada,” she told him ahead of the elections that Trump won. But like other celebrities who had, and likely still have, the same opinion of Trump, Streisand stayed in the States and decided to channel her resistance towards Trump’s government through her music.
Releasing her album Walls in 2018, she used it as a means to point to Trump’s despotic leadership.
Standing against lies and deception, something she’s convinced the business mogul represents, she she expressed her outrage through her music with pieces such as Don’t Lie to Me.
In her book My name is Barbra, she spoke of her support for Hillary Clinton and called Trump “a liar.”
She further questioned the role of artists in the world of politics, expressing that they should serve as “a country’s conscience.”
“Their work gives us a reflection of the times, and sometimes they challenge us to see what others would prefer to ignore. They can give voice to the voiceless, by speaking up when no one else will,” Streisand wrote.
“That’s why art is the enemy of tyrants and dictators.
“I believe we all have not only the right, but the responsibility to be politically active and to question authority,” she added.
Mentioning Trump’s politics, she wrote he “lies as easily as he breathes.”
“I can’t stand being lied to, and I don’t think the country should be lied to either,” Streisand wrote, before making a humorous remark about Trump, “And I just couldn’t comprehend how he could tell all these lies with absolutely no guilt (clearly he’s not Jewish.)”
When President Biden took over the office, Streisand expressed her satisfaction, sharing with Variety she believes “the country is certainly headed in the right direction.”

Parenting is a personal journey, and each parent chooses what they believe is the best method for raising their child. The truth is, no matter which approach one chooses, there will always be people who are judgmental and criticize the parenting style of others, believing their own method is the right one.
But could there be a unified approach to parenting when every child is a unique individual with specific character, needs, and preferences? I believe not, so why don’t we just let parents decide what’s best for their kid without second-guessing their choices and strategies?
A mom named Emma penned a letter to Bright Side, asking for advice and explaining why she no longer forces her 8-year-old son to say phrases such as “sorry” and “thank you.”
Emma started her letter explaining that her choice to parent her son that way comes from her personal experience of living with strict parents. According to her, her mom and dad’s approach to raising her and her siblings in a household where rigorous rules were followed led to anxiety and low self-esteem, something she hoped her son Georgie won’t experience.
When she became a mother herself, she made a decision that her parenting style won’t involve a power struggle between the parent and the child because she doesn’t feel superior to her son, which doesn’t mean she ignores her authority over him.
This, however, has led to conflicts between her and her husband who is convinced that she should be more strict. He believes their son “should understand social norms and the consequences of his actions.”
Emma recalled a situation when Georgie pushed a kid at the playground and she didn’t make him apologize for his actions, instead, she was the one who approached the mom and her kid and said she was sorry for what Georgie did. The mother, however, wasn’t happy and demanded Georgie apologize.
Emma said she wouldn’t force Georgie to say sorry if he didn’t really mean it, because doing so would mean she’s teaching him to be fake and to believe that the feelings of those around him are more important than his own. She, however, wants him to be led by example and learn how to apologize by watching her do that and adopt that habit eventually.
The mother at the playground called Emma “a bad and irresponsible mother.”
Now, although she’s convinced her parenting style is the right one and gives positive results, the criticism from her husband and the parents around her made her question her choices.

Joe Bonsall, member of Oak Ridge Boys, passed away at the age of 76 following a battle with ALS, his family wrote. The news was confirmed by the band on X.
Blake Shelton, who released the 2016 track Doing It to Country Songs featuring The Oak Ridge Boys, paid his tributes, writing, “We all lost a special person today.”

The rest of Bonsall’s fellow colleagues also paid their tributes to the late singer.
Reba McEntire posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, honoring her late friend. “Joe, you were a terrific entertainer, singer, and a wonderful friend!”
“I’ll sure miss your smiling face and your bubbly personality,” Riba wrote alongside a photo of the two posing together. “I can’t wait to see you again. Love, Reba.”
Trace Adkins wrote, “Joe Bonsall was one of the kindest people I ever met. He was a rock star, and he was a wonderful human being. RIP Joe.”
“Joe could do anything he set his mind to do, but what impressed me the most was the energy, love, and compassion he put into everything he did and his unique gift to communicate those emotions and feelings into every performance, song, and book,” Oak Ridge Boys’ Duane Allen said in a statement. “Joe was ‘that’ best friend that every person hopes to have in his life.”
Richard Stern said: “For many years, Joe was my best friend. We knew each other long before we both became members of The Oak Ridge Boys. He was a special person, who was loved by everyone and was a true inspiration to us all.”
Bonsall is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, daughters Jennifer and Sabrina, and his grand-children and great-grandchildren.
The singer of Elvira, Bobbie Sue, and American Made, passed away seven months after announcing his retirement.
Speaking to People, Bonsall said at the time, “Many of you know I have been battling a slow onset (over four years now) of a neuromuscular disorder. I am now to a point that walking is impossible so I have basically retired from the road.
“It has just gotten too difficult. It has been a great 50 years and I am thankful to all the Oak Ridge Boys band crew and staff for the constant love and support shown to me through it all.”
The musician added, “I will never forget and for those of you who have been constantly holding me up in prayer I thank you and ask for you to keep on praying.”
We are so very sorry for this loss. May he rest in peace.

Finley Downer, an eight-year-old boy from Kettering, Northamptonshire, suffered a horrific attack by at least three nurse sharks while on holiday in the Bahamas.
With bites on both legs and resulting flesh wounds, he was rushed to a local health clinic in a golf buggy.
During the family’s five-island trip, they enjoyed guided swims with iguanas, pigs, and nurse sharks at Compass Cay. Later, on a different island, they saw sharks swimming with people in a lagoon. When the children decided to join, it almost ended tragically.

They were oblivious to the fact that the sharks were fed on scraps thrown to them by the tourists.
Finley’s dad, Michael, 44, recalled: “My son could have been killed. It was like a scene out of Jaws.
“Suddenly, I heard a terrified scream and saw dozens circling Finley. There was so much blood,” he told The Sun.
“Bits of his leg were hanging off. He kept saying, ‘Dad I don’t want to die. Dad I don’t want to go to heaven.’”
Finley was reportedly taken out of the water by his sister Lilly, 9, after which he was transferred to a hospital where he underwent surgery for the severe injuries he sustained.

As the family deals with the aftermath of the traumatic experience, Michael has indicated that he places no blame on the tour company. “It was an very unfortunate accident. We were led to believe the sharks weren’t dangerous but any animal can suddenly turn and bite, even a dog. It’s no one’s fault,” he said.
According to the tour operator Exuma Escapes, the family entered a lagoon not included in the tour and did so without a guide, pointing out that nurse sharks are normally peaceful bottom-feeders unless mishandled.
“I’m happy to be seen as a bad parent who lets my kids do an excursion which I understood was safe. We didn’t think it was a risk, as much as you think these activities are safe things can happen so I hope it serves as a warning to other people,” Michael added.
Finley is expected to recover fully, but he will be left with scaring.

Her TikTok account is filled with photos and videos of her seemingly ‘lavish’ lifestyle and one of her videos in which she claimed she’s “too pretty” to work caused a stir on the social media.
Meet Lucy Welcher, an influencer now dubbed “shallow” and “entitled” by the online community.
The video in question, which has since been deleted, was captioned: “Not my thing [laughing emoji] #working #scam.” In it, she could be heard saying, “I do not want to work for the rest of my life. Does it look like I want to get up at 6 a.m. every f**king day for the next 60 years? No! I’m too pretty for that!”
Not surprisingly, the nine-second long clip went viral prompting people to question her statement. Did she suggest that employment is only for less attractive people?
People slammed her and were quick to comment on her video. “Boy I wish I had your confidence, the same confidence to feel like I’m better looking than I actually am. God you people are so shallow and in love with yourselves,” one person wrote.
“Someone’s entitled,” another blasted. “I hope you get humbled girl, you need it. Looks have nothing to do with working and it’s sad you have that mentality.”
A third sniped, “How about trying to be an adult instead of a privileged princess expecting life to be handed to you?”
Lucy answered back with yet another video in which she sarcastically went through some of the things written about her online. Among the rest, she denied owning “class vehicles” or a mansion, “because my house is literally falling apart.”
Apparently, the TikToker found the attention entertaining, so days later she made a remake of her viral video in which she repeated the script from her deleted “I’m too pretty” video.
This time, however, most of her followers found it funny and said they understood her earlier message was intended to be humorous and not offend anyone.
“You’re 100% correct, getting up early going to work will spoil your good looks,” one person wrote.
“This video and the first one gave me life,” another follower added.
“You are too pretty for that. Those are just the hard cold facts of life,” a third commented.

Being asked to be a bridesmaid at a wedding is always a great honor because it means that the person who’s tying the knot values your friendship and wants you to be part of one of the most important days of their life.
However, the question that arises is whether it’s the bridesmaids’ responsibility to pay for the dress or the bride’s.
Many believe that since the bride is the one who chooses her bridesmaids, it is her who should cover the expenses. And that is exactly what the friends of a bride-to-be named Emily thought, until they were asked to pay for dresses that cost a little fortune.
Namely, weeks before the special day took place, Emily presented her friends with the stunning dresses; soft hues, detailed lace patterns, and fine embroidery. The material was so luxurious that it felt like a second skin.

Trying them on, one of the friends commented that they must cost a fortune, to what Emily smiled and said they deserve it because she only gets married once.
The ceremony took place in a charming garden beneath a floral arch that looked like it had been lifted straight from a romance novel. Emily walked down the aisle and said “I do” to the man of her dreams, a moment that seemed like it stood frozen in time.

At the reception, the elegant ballroom glowed with laughter and music. The tables were embellished with chic centerpieces and fairy lights twinkled overhead, creating a magical atmosphere.
Emily had her first dance with her husband, and everything looked picture perfect… Well, until she asked her bridesmaids to join her to the dance floor. As they danced their hearts out, Emily said. “You all look fabulous. Thank you for sharing this special day with me… and, about your dresses, they cost $1,200 each, so you can pay them in cash or you can do it tomorrow via bank transfer.”

One of them said that they believed the dresses were a gift from her since she hadn’t mentioned anything about them paying for them. On top of that, they cost a lot of money, way over what they’d be willing to pay for if they were asked to before they agreed to accept the roles of bridesmaids.

The awkward silence was interrupted by two young men carrying the cake. It was a huge ten-tier cake. Emily rushed towards the men and told them she hadn’t order a cake with that many tiers, but they assured her she did. As expected, it cost a lot more than the three-tier cake she was thinking of ordering. After a short discussion, they showed her a copy of her order. She probably made a mistake while making the order, and she now had to pay for it.

Her bridesmaids though it was karma that hit back at an instant, but they still felt sorry for their friend telling her that they won’t pay for the dresses but they would pay for her cake.
Emily smiled and thanked them. They reminded her that not everything in life is about money, but about genuine friends and mutual respect and understanding.

The strained relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles, as well as the rest of the royals, affected the monarch’s relationship with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. While Charles’ bond with William’s children is close, he has only seen Archie a handful of times, while Lili only once.
As per the Mirror, Charles “has had discussions” about visiting Harry and his family in the States “at some time in the future.”
Royal expert Tom Quinn spoke to the newspaper and said, “There is no doubt if it goes ahead he would build in time to visit his youngest son and his grandchildren, but there are mountains of planning to be overcome before that becomes even a remote possibility.
“It’s certainly possible that he would make a discreet private visit to Harry and the children in California,” the royal expert added. “He is desperate to see them and hates the idea that Archie and Lily will not remember him as the warm friendly grandfather he wants to be.”

A source close to the Sussexes opened up about Meghan’s decision not to accompany her husband to Britain for the Invictus Games celebration. “It’s now got to the point where Meghan doesn’t want to come to the UK with the children. She just doesn’t feel safe. The situation is now about whether the family should attend with increased security or Harry should go it alone,” they said at the time.
Last year, Harry disputed the Home Office’s decision to cut his security protection while he was in the UK. Following his departure from royal life, the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) withdrew his automatic police protection. Additionally, his offer to pay for his own security was rejected because British police could not be hired privately.
“It was with great sadness for both of us that my wife and I felt forced to step back from this role and leave the country in 2020,” Harry’s statement, read by his lawyer Shaheed Fatima KC stated, as reported by BBC.
“The UK is my home. The UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the US. That cannot happen if it’s not possible to keep them safe when they are on UK soil.”
The Duke added, “I cannot put my wife in danger like that, and, given my experiences in life, I am reluctant to unnecessarily put myself in harm’s way too.”

According to a friend of King Charles, Harry is aware of how much his father misses his grandchildren and is using that knowledge to “emotionally blackmail” his father.
“Harry has lost his security case in court, and is now trying the emotional blackmail route to get what he wants instead, cynically using the threat of Archie and Lilibet never meeting their grandfather again as a tactic to coerce the king into overruling RAVEC.,” the source told the Daily Beast.
“The idea that the security forces are going to allow the Sussexes to be attacked by an acid-throwing or knife-wielding maniac on British soil is absurd, and Harry knows it. Using it as leverage, as a reason to withhold his kids from their grandfather, is beyond contempt. Charles is being treated for very serious cancer, so even if he could find the time, he cannot just fly to Los Angeles at the drop of a hat, like Harry can—and actually did earlier this year—in the other direction.”

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes that the relationship between King Charles and Prince Harry has worsened, dubbing it “dreadful.”
“This is a very, very curious issue because when the Sussexes stepped back, only to step down as senior working royals, they knew they would lose automatic police protection,” he said. “Harry believes this was a wrong decision and that it was wrongly made. He’s sued against the Home Office. I mean, he was always going to lose that.”
The expert added: “What is clearly emerging is that he believes Britain is dangerous. Now, that appears hypocritical when you look at, say, security in Nigeria, even if it was arranged by the defence minister. Or the security in Colombia, even if the vice president is arranging it, and the facts simply are that both countries are considered somewhat dangerous, certainly parts of them.
“Would he bring Meghan, would she want to come, given the fact she’s so unpopular? Would King Charles meet his grandchildren again? Time will tell,” Richard Fitzwilliams concluded.

Age spots & hyperpigmentation
As we age, our skin tends to change in many ways. Among the rest, most people over the age of 50, sometimes younger, experience age spots, which may be a result of an overproduction of melanin due to prolonged sun exposure over time, or a result of genetic makeup. Hyperpigmentation, or the darkening of the skin in certain areas, is another condition caused by sun exposure, as well as hormonal changes, or certain inflammation.
For both these conditions, it is essential to treat them as soon as we notice them. In fact, we can also act to prevent them from appearing in the first place by wearing sunscreen protection such as a minimum SPF (sun protection factor) of 30 every day no matter the weather conditions, sunglasses, hats, and sun protective clothing.
However, in case they appear, there are ways to prevent the spreading.
Aloe Vera: According to a 2012 study on the effects of aloin in aloe vera, it has been determined that aloin acts as a natural depigmentation compound and as such it can be used to treat age spots and hyperpigmentation naturally. Apply on the affected areas before going to bed and rinse in the morning.
Apple Cider Vinegar: contains acetic acid, which can help exfoliate the skin and lighten dark spots. It also has mild antiseptic properties that contribute to overall skin health.
Orchid Extracts: help reduce dark spots significantly over the course of eight weeks usage. Apply it to the affected areas or use masks and face creams containing these extracts.
Green Tea Extract: Apply a green tea extract serum or cream directly to the dark spots to reduce them. The green tea extract helps treating age spots and hyperpigmentation due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. At the same time, it may inhibit melanin production.
Black Tea: According to a study on guinea pigs, black tea may help lighten dark spots, however, there are no available human studies. To use this remedy, steep black tea leaves in boiling distilled water for two hours, strain the liquid, and apply it to your face with a cotton ball once per day.
Although these remedies include natural ingredients, before applying any of it do a patch test to see how your skin would react.
Skin tags
Skin tags, as explained by Mayo Clinic, “are small noncancerous, or benign, skin growths. Usually, they are flesh-colored bumps of tissue connected to the skin’s surface by a narrow stalk. The color, texture, size and width of the base can vary.”
The removal of skin tags is rather simple and usually quite effective, but it is recommended to be performed under the guidance of a physician.
There are also some natural remedies you can try at home.
Tea Tree Oil: Because of its natural antibacterial and antiviral properties, tea tree oil can be used to get rid of skin tags. Before application, the oil needs to be diluted by mixing a few drops of it with a carrier oil such as coconut oil, jojoba oil, or olive oil with the ratio of 1-2 drops of tea tree oil per teaspoon of carrier oil. Gently rub the mixture on the skin tag before bed and cover it with a bandaid overnight. Repeat until the skin tag is gone.
At-home freezing kits: work to eliminate skin tags by using a cryogenic substance that freezes and destroys the tissue. Before applying it, make sure you read the instructions. Avoid applying it to the healthy skin around the affected area.
Warts
Warts are noncancerous growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), which has over 100 strains. While generally harmless, warts can be irritating and occasionally painful.
Some home remedies that are efficient in the fight against warts are:
Apple Cider Vinegar: may help in fighting warts because its acetic acid can eliminate some bacteria and viruses. The vinegar’s burning effect helps to erode the infected skin, leading to the wart falling off over time. Remember to dilute ACV with water before using it.

Thursday marked the first day of Harry and Meghan’s four-day tour to the country of Colombia at the invitation of Vice President Francia Márquez, who requested their presence inspired by their Netflix documentary, believing Meghan could share her story and empower many women in the world.
Before their arrival, the Vice President, whom the Duke and Duchess were seen hugging, issued a statement, “They will have the exceptional opportunity to engage with leaders, youth, and women who embody the aspirations and voices of Colombians committed to progress. In addition to these meaningful interactions, the Duke and Duchess will experience the rich heritage of Colombia,” as per Express.
Their decision to take a trip to this South American country was met with public backlash.
“Correct me if I’m wrong, but is Colombia not one of the most dangerous countries in the world? Yet Harry and Meghan, who are so worried about their safety and security, willingly go there? Make it make sense,” a netizen that goes by the name @Clare_C posted on X.

The Sussexes’ second significant outing this year, after their three-day visit to Nigeria, gives the impression of being an official royal engagement given that their journey will be carefully monitored and protected by a security team.
The couple is expected to explore beyond the capital of Bogota, including trips to Cartagena and Cali in the days to come.
On their first day, they paid a visit to a school where they discussed the effects of social media with students and later addressed a summit on digital responsibility, partially organized by their Archewell Foundation.

Expert Katie Nicholl was among those who reflected on the security issues. On the Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered podcast, she said, “I am sure this is a trip that will generate a huge amount of coverage for them as a couple, for Colombia, for everything that is going to be discussed over the round table that is going to take place over the course of those few days. And it, of course, puts Harry and Meghan on the international map once again. I think so much of this and what they’re doing is about that international visibility,” the Mirrorreports.
“It’s apparently not safe to come to the UK, but it is safe to go to Colombia. I think when we look back at the last tour that they did, to Nigeria, the security was incredible there. But this was the military in Nigeria stepping up, treating the royals as if they were on an official royal tour. I suppose it’s going to depend on what kind of security they’re going to get when they’re on the ground [in Colombia]. One can imagine it is only going to be at a government and military level and they will be well protected because of course they don’t have the benefit of royal security.”
According to royal author Tom Quinn, this trip will further strain the relationship between the Sussexes and the members of the Firm since they send a message that they will continue act as royals and that there is nothing the royals can do about it. Speaking to Mirror,Queen added that whenever Harry and Meghan respond to an invitation from a sovereign state, it will look as though they “are somehow acting in an official royal capacity.”

A royal source raised concerns that Harry and Meghan might be manipulated by the Colombian Government, Skyreported.
“I’m sure Meghan and Harry mean well, but everyone here is talking about how obviously they are being manipulated,” the source said.
“Of course, their star power will be used to bring attention to poor people and certain areas of culture in Colombia … but the reality is the Colombian government has been drowning in scandal since it came in two years ago.

What Jill Hadad Hawkins believed would be the most special day of her life turned into a nightmare.
On the morning of her wedding day, she was overly excited, just as any bride-to-be. But Jill could hardly stand on her feet because of the severe pain in her stomach.
Thinking it was just the usual pre-wedding nerves, she convinced herself she should proceed with the day. And she did exactly that. She put a smile on her face, hoping that the pain would eventually go away. But sadly, not only she didn’t feel any better, but the pain became even more severe.
She somehow managed to go down the aisle and say “I do,” but just after the wedding reception, she was taken to the hospital.
During her teen years, Jill had undergone several major surgeries for treating ulcerative colitis, a type of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) that causes inflammation and ulcers (sores) in your digestive tract.
Mayo Clinic explains that this autoimmune condition “affects the innermost lining of your large intestine, also called the colon, and rectum. In most people, symptoms usually develop over time, rather than suddenly.”
However, Jill believed that her condition was cured with the surgeries, and she didn’t even think that the pain she experienced was caused by that.
Once at the hospital, she had undergone an emergency procedures. The doctor who treated her, Dr. James Yoo, chief of colorectal surgery at Tufts Medical Center, explained that Jill had a twist in her intestines that cut off the blood supply. “She could have died from that,” he told WCVB.
He further said that “Nothing could have precipitated this. I think it was just bad luck,” and added she will “live happily ever after.”
Speaking of this experience and the health scare that had gone through on her special day, Jill told WCVB, “It’s really hard to come to terms with the fact that I could have died on my wedding night. But that’s the reality.”

The hot weather and high temperatures can have a range of effects on people’s everyday life. It is widely known that prolonged exposure to heat can lead to heatstroke, which is why it is recommended to avoid being under direct sunlight for longer periods of time. At the same time, it is essential to stay hydrated and limit strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day.
This weather can also significantly increase the risk of fires.
Dry heat, strong winds, and low humidity represent ideal conditions for a fire to start. One way of accidentally starting a fire is by leaving water bottles inside a vehicle during high heat. The reason why is that the bottles, especially if they are translucent, can act as magnifying lenses if exposed to high temperatures, focusing sunlight and creating concentrated beams of light.
When light enters a clear or translucent bottle, it can be focused and intensified into a concentrated heat spot. This concentrated heat can build up on nearby flammable materials, like paper or fabric, and potentially ignite them, leading to a fire withing minutes.
This is why firefighters urge people not to leave water bottles inside their vehicle.
In July 2017, Dioni Amuchastegui, a battery technician with Idaho Power, noticed smoke emerging from beneath the center console of his truck during his lunch break.
“At first I thought it was dust, but the window was rolled up so there was no wind,” he shared with Today. “Then I noticed that light was being refracted through a water bottle and it was actually smoke.”
Amuchastegui was quick to get rid of the bottle and prevent fire from starting.
He told his story to his colleagues at Idaho Power and they came up with the idea of filming a video and warning people of the potential dangers of a simple act of leaving a water bottle inside the car when the temperatures are high.

Welcoming a bundle of joy into the family is one of the most beautiful things there are. While mothers are the ones who bring the little jewel into the world, the dads are as excited.
They experience a mix of emotions such as excitement, but also nervousness because of the uncertainty of how the labor would go. Although they may feel helpless during those moment, most dads-to-be are also very supportive of their partner.
Witnessing their loved one’s strength and determination can evoke a profound feeling of pride.
Four men were in the hospital, walking up and down the corridor in anticipation of being delivered the news of their babies being born.
After some time, a nurse comes out and approaches one of the dads. “Congratulations! It’s twins!” she says with a smile on her face. The dad is a bit shocked at first but he then chuckles and says, “That’s quite a coincidence. I work for the Minnesota Twins.”
When she approaches the second father, she exclaims “Triplets!” with excitement. The dad is overjoyed by the news, but rather puzzled because of the coincidence. “Incredible!” he says. “I’ve always been a fan of threes. I work for 3M, you know.”
The third father is told that his wife has given birth to four babies. Jumping from the chair, he yells, “No way! I’ve always wanted a big family. I work at the Four Seasons Hotel!”
Unlike the rest of the dads, the fourth man is not caught up in the joy. He’s nervously pacing and tugging at his hair. Seeing him feel anxious, the nurse asks, “Is everything okey?” to what the fourth man replies, “I’m doomed! I work for 7-Up!”

A family of three, Julie and Andy Kemp, together with their eight-year-old son Landon, were driving back home from church when they got involved in a car crash. They were broadsided by an ambulance zipping back to its station when the tragedy struck. Unfortunately, Andy died at the scene and Julie struggled to stay conscious. When help arrived, they managed to stabilize her, but they had no idea Landon was still in the car. He was sitting in the backseat and medics only discovered him when they noticed his shoe at the scene. The car was so damaged that the boy was hidden from their sight.

After a couple of tries, medics managed to bring Landon to life as he was found unconscious and not breathing. The boy was airlifted to the hospital where he slipped away two more times. Things didn’t look great for the young boy and his mother was told that the chances of his survival were slim.
Doctors said that even if the boy survived, he would probably not be able to live a normal life but would rather be like an infant trapped in the body of an eight-year-old boy.
During the two weeks after the accident, Julie was going through living hell. She buried her husband and was forced to watch her son fighting for her life.
Landon was in a coma and it looked like he wasn’t going to make it, but then, all of a sudden, he opened his eyes. His survival was dubbed a miracle by the doctors. They were stunned to learn that despite everything he’s been through, he didn’t suffer brain damage.

Now that Landon was awake, Julie didn’t know how to tell him about his father. She asked him if he knew what had happened to him, to which Landon replied: “Yes, I saw him.” He claimed that he also saw one of his father’s friends who had died a month before his dad passed away. Landon also saw the friend’s son. “Never one of us said a word to each other, but we were just all standing there,” the boy recounted.
To Julie’s surprise, her son told her that among those he saw while he was in a coma were his mom’s two other children. She didn’t understand what he was talking about at first, but then she remembered.

Lord Robert Fellowes, a trusted figure to Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana, died at 82.
He was heavily involved with the British Royal Family and was Prince William and Prince Harry’s uncle. Fellowers was married to late Princess Diana’s sister, Lady Jane Spencer. The couple had three children together, Alexander, Eleanor, and Laura.
Lord Fellowes served as the private secretary to the late Queen during the 1990s, a period marked by significant challenges, including the divorce of Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles. It was also the time when Fergie and Prince Andrew’s marriage came to an end, and Princess Anne’s marriage to Mark Phillips dissolved.
He was heavily involved in managing the crisis with the fire of Windsor Castle that destroyed 115 rooms in 1992.
Lord Fellowes held the position when his sister-in-law, Princess Diana, died in the tragic car crash when she and her partner Dodi Fayed, the son of Egyptian billionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed, her driver Henri Paul, and her bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones crashed the Mercedes in the Pont de I’Alma tunnel in Paris while trying to escape the paparazzi.
After the deaths of Diana Dodi Fayed, Lord Fellowes strongly refuted allegations made by Mohamed Al Fayed, Dodi’s father and the owner of Harrods, who claimed that Fellowes was part of a conspiracy to murder the couple.
Lord Fellowes’ obituary revealed he had died on July 29 of undisclosed causes, as per The Times.

Lady Di‘s brother, Charles Spencer, paid tribute to his brother-in-law posting on the social media.
“My absolutely exceptional brother-in-law, Robert, is no longer with us,” he wrote on X.

One such teacher was forced to taste his own medicine after he tried to insult one of his students for no particular reason.
During lunch time, the student sat next to his teacher. The teacher gave the student a cold look and said, “A swan will not be friends with a pig.”
With a smile on his face, the student said, “Then I shall fly on.”
The teacher got extremely angry and was determined to fail the student by asking him the hardest questions.
One of the questions was: “You are walking down the road and you stumble upon two bags. One contains gold, and the other one contains cleverness. Which one would you choose?”
Without hesitating, the student answered, “I would choose the one with the gold.”
“I disagree,” said the teacher. “I would choose cleverness, because that’s way more important than money.”
Looking straight into his eyes, the student said, “Well, everyone would choose what they lack.”
The teacher was shocked and insulted so he took the student’s paper and wrote “a**hole” on it.
The student took the paper without even glancing at it, and left the classroom. After a few seconds, he returned and said, “Excuse me, sir, I see you signed my paper, but you forgot to give me a grade.”

Following their decision to step down from their royal duties, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle settled in Montecito, California, probably for good. They seem to be living the life they have always longed for, but one thing they have received backlash for by the public is that they continued to be under the spotlight despite their initial intention to lead a quieter life.

However, despite Harry being happy with his wife and two children, he still misses his homeland and his friends from Britain, who reportedly don’t visit him because of Meghan, as per royal author Tom Quinn.
Speaking to Mirror, Quinn said, “As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK. Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles.”
He added: “He misses his Old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don’t get on with Meghan. Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security.”

Predictions coming from the author of Prince Edward’ ‘s 2022 memoir A Royal Life, Hugo Vickers, are that Harry would likely return to UK permanently without Meghan although he is “petrified” of losing her. “I think he’ll come home,” Vickers told The Sun. “I think he’ll come home, and if he comes home, we must be very nice to him because he won’t particularly want to. He’s quite angry, I think.”
If that happens, Vickers claims, King Charles would embrace him with arms wide open and would allow him to be a working royal again.
“The king has left the door wide open for him to do that, and he was doing such a good job before, and … he looked so happy,” the royal expert continued. “Usually, you’re happy when you’re doing your duty and you’re doing it for other people and you’re putting things into life.”
“If you’re taking things out of life, at the risk of getting a lot of hate mail, I personally think that he looks like he’s petrified of losing her [Meghan] and looks slightly petrified of her.”
Rumors are that the couple experience a hard time making friends in the States.
There is a growing rift between Harry and Meghan caused by Meghan’s increasing concern that her life is not going in the direction she had planned,” Quinn said. “She loves media attention and hates that surveys suggest she and Harry are no longer of much interest to the American public.
“With news that the couple’s Netflix contract may be under threat, along with the mockery that greeted the launch of her online brand, Meghan feels very much under siege,” he added.

In a new book, royal author Robert Jobson claims that Prince William was reportedly concerned that Harry might have rushed into marrying Meghan Markle in an effort to follow in his older brother’s footsteps by starting a family.
“William does believe Harry was rushing into marriage with Meghan – because only he understands the pressure they would be under. Kate and William took their time with their relationship and even had a brief split, as William wanted to make sure Kate was ready and could handle royal life,” Jobson wrote, as reported by OK!.

“It upsets Harry and Meghan when this is mentioned, as they’re still together, very happy, and have two gorgeous children. They knew from the start how they felt and they believe their marriage is a true love story and how they’ve overcome so much to be together,” the source said.
“But it does seem to put a strain on them and it’s like they have to constantly prove their marriage and happiness. They have lost family because of their marriage.
“It still pains them to this day and they wish it wasn’t like this – but they have no choice. They have to remain strong for each other, as that’s the only way they can get through all the speculation and criticism,” the source concluded.

The relationship between Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla has often been portrayed as one of mutual respect and admiration.
Camilla, having faced intense public backlash and scrutiny when her affair with then-prince Charles was made public, was determined to protect Kate from similar challenges as she prepared to marry Prince William.
From the moment the two met, Camilla was reportedly very welcoming towards Kate. When Kate joined the royal family, Camilla made a conscious effort to build a relationship with her. She extended the same effort towards both Prince William and Prince Harry, though her relationship with Harry didn’t develop as well, especially in light of his ongoing rift with the royal family, which has left him with few supporters within the family.
Before Kate and William tied the knot, Camilla allegedly invited Kate to dinner, along with Kate’s sister, Pippa, and her daughter, Laura Lopes.
“They were all getting on very well and they clearly hadn’t asked for an out-of-the-way table and nor did they attempt to lower their voices,” a person who overheard their conversation told the Daily Mail. “There was one moment which was clearly meant to be amusing when Kate said, ‘What happens if William doesn’t turn up?’”
Camilla reportedly presented Kate Middleton with a deeply personal gift for her wedding: a bracelet featuring engraved letters “Cs” on either side of the charm. It’s widely speculated that these letters represent “Catherine” and “Camilla.”

On the day Britain honored its fallen soldiers and members of the military with the annual Remembrance Sunday service led by King Charles in 2022, Camilla and Kate became a talking point.
Namely, the Queen Consort and the Princess of Wales were spotted at the balcony of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office building nearby to watch the proceedings. In the past, it was them and the late Queen who stood at the balcony, so in her honor, Camilla and Kate didn’t stand shoulder to shoulder but left an empty space between them.

Experts closely followed every move by the members of the royal family. Among them was Judy James, a body expert, who claimed Kate made a polite but concerning gesture to the “anxious” Queen Consort.
Apparently, Camilla was anxious because of the pressure she felt for attending the service for the first time ever in the role of Queen Consort. Luckily, Kate was there to provide support.
“Watching from the balcony Camilla combined signals of regal duty with some rituals of anxiety. Standing beside Kate, she performed a subtle smile of acknowledgment as her wreath was laid, and as she turned to Kate on their way from the balcony she threw a rather fond smile as Kate spoke to her,” James told the Mirror.

“Camilla smiled at Kate for a second time before nodding, again in a gesture of acknowledgment as she walked ahead of Kate in her new role of Queen. Otherwise, though, there were gestures of open anxiety from Camilla. She looked unable to keep totally still and spoke to Kate at one point but while looking straight ahead rather than turning to her.
“Kate turned her head quickly in a gesture of polite concern. Kate’s calm and very still body language was in contrast to Camilla’s nervous movements that showed the most in the fluttering of her hymn sheet as her two hands fiddled with it throughout.”
However, despite looking calm, Kate also felt stressed, James claimed. She and her husband, together with their three children, have gone through significant changes since Queen Elizabeth’s passing. Not only they moved homes and the kids started attending new school, but their new titles brought plenty of responsibilities.

The King himself had a hard time fighting back the tears during the service.
“Charles stood at the Cenotaph as though totally alone and lost in his thoughts. His mouth was pulled down at the corners and his rapid blinking hinted he was close to tears as he remembered his mother as well as those fallen in action,” James told the Mirror.
“There was even a micro-gesture of a small spasm of the lips to show suppressed emotions as they played the Last Post.”
Charles’ coronation is set to take place on May 6. It is then that Camilla will officially be crowned Queen Consort. However, as her popularity among the masses grows bigger, the Palace may decide to remove Consort from her title and leave Queen only.
According to The Telegraph, Buckingham Palace might officially style Camilla as “Queen” earlier than her husband’s coronation.

A woman that goes by the name Bethany has turned to Bright Side to seek advice after she has found herself in a situation that started affecting her relationship with her spouse.
Namely, Bethany explained that after her father’s passing, she sold his apartment and some of his belongings and was left with enough money to purchase a home for herself and her family.
However, her husband insisted that he had the right to co-own the place, despite the fact she had paid for it with her inherited money.
His demand left her in shock and she was quick to deny it. But it was only then that things took the wrong turn. Her husband told her, “In that case, you should use your money to pay me back all the money I spent on rent over these years. At least half of it, since you lived with me and didn’t contribute financially.”
To her horror, he issued an ultimatum, “If you refuse, then maybe we should reconsider our marriage and our future together.”
Bethany further wrote that since the two married, her husband was the sole provider for the family. She didn’t wok, but she was a stay-at-home mom and took care of their son and their home.
She wondered if this was enough reason for her husband to automatically co-own the home she bought with her own money.
Confused, she sought advice, and the people in the comment section were quick to provide some.
One person told Bethany that she should calculate how much it would cost to hire a daily housekeeper, cook, and nanny, and then add it up and compare it to what her husband asks her to “pay back” to him.
Another person suggested that if a stay-at-home person was in fact paid for the job they are doing around the house and raising the children, if there are any, that amount would accumulate to over $178,000 a year.
Someone wrote that they way he asked to be listed as a co-owner of the house she had purchased speaks a lot about the type of person he is, because no spouse should ever use threats.

After Jake’s wife decided to travel the world and leave her family behind, he was left to take care of his two little girls, Emma, 4, and Lily, 5, all by herself.
Navigating through life hasn’t been easy for this single dad, who struggled to balance work, his children, and housework, but he knew he needed to be strong for his girls and did everything in his power to take great care of them.
“Emma, Lily, time to get up!” he would wake his girls up softly every morning.
That particular morning didn’t start any differently, except for the huge surprise that awaited them in the kitchen.

Both Emma and Lily were unwilling to get up, but once they did, they chose their favorite dresses which Jake helped them put on and the three headed downstairs to have breakfast before going to daycare. Jake planned on preparing the usual, oatmeal with milk, but the moment he stepped inside the kitchen, he lost his tracks. There on the table were three plates of freshly made pancakes with jam and fruit.
“Girls, did you see this?” he asked, puzzled.
Lily’s eyes widened. “Wow, pancakes! Did you make them, Daddy?”
“No, I didn’t. Maybe Aunt Sarah stopped by early,” he said and took his phone in order to call his sister and ask her if she was the one who prepared the breakfast.

To his surprise, Sarah said she didn’t stopped by that morning and wanted to know why he was asking, but Jake said it was nothing and went to check on the front door and the windows but there was no sign of anyone entering the place forcefully.
“Is it safe to eat, Daddy?” Emma asked, and Jake said yet, although hesitantly.
Confused, he couldn’t stop wondering who the person who treated them with pancakes could be, but since they were late already, he took the girls to the daycare and went for work.

When he and the girls returned home that evening, there was another surprise awaiting them. The lawn, which Jake hadn’t had time to mow, was neatly cut. “This is getting weird,” Jake muttered to himself and went on to check the house again, but nothing was out of the ordinary.
The following morning, he decided to find the answer to the question that bothered him all night, so he woke up at around 6 am and hid in the kitchen. To his surprise, he saw a woman climbing through the window.
She was wearing some worn out clothes and started doing the dishes right away. At one moment, she took a piece of cheese from her bag and started preparing pancakes again.

As he stepped out of his hiding place, Jake yelled, “Wait, please, I won’t harm you. You made those pancakes, right? Please, tell me why you’re doing this? Don’t be afraid of me, I’m the father of the girls and would never harm a woman, especially when you’ve helped me so much.”
The mysterious woman then stopped and turned her face towards Jake. She did look familiar, but he couldn’t recall where he had seen her before.
“We’ve met before, haven’t we?” he asked in confusion.
She nodded, but before she could say anything, the girls started shouting, “Daddy, daddy.” Jake then asked from the woman to take a seat at the dinner table and meet Emma and Lily, and she agreed.

“Come on, girls, we have a surprise guest downstairs,” he said. The girls followed him to the kitchen curious to see who had visited them. The woman was standing next to the window, ready to bolt.
“Please, don’t leave,” Jake said gently. “I just want to talk and thank you.”
“Who is she, Daddy?” Lily asked.
“Let’s find out together,” he replied. Turning to the woman, Jake added, “Please, sit down. Can I get you some coffee?”
“I’m Jack,” she started, “and these are my daughters, Emma and Lily. You’ve been helping us, and I want to know why.”

The woman then explained that Jake helped her some two months ago when she was at a very bad place.
“Helped you? How?” Jake was curious to understand.
“I was lying by the road, weak and desperate. Everyone passed by, but you stopped. You took me to a charity hospital. I was severely dehydrated and could have died. When I woke up, you were gone, but I convinced the parking guard to tell me your car number. I found out where you lived and decided to thank you.”
Jake suddenly realized. “I remember now. You were in terrible shape. I couldn’t just leave you there.”

The woman, who introduced herself as Clare, said, “Your kindness saved me. My ex-husband tricked me, brought me from Britain to America, took everything, and left me on the street. I had nothing and no one to turn to.”
Emma and Lily listened intently, their small faces filled with concern. “That’s so sad,” Emma murmured softly.
“But why are you here?” Jake couldn’t help but wonder.
“Your help gave me the strength to keep going. I went to the embassy and told them my story. They helped me get new documents and connected me with a lawyer to fight for my son. I got a job as a postal worker. But I wanted to repay you, to show my gratitude. I saw how tired you looked when you came home every day, so I decided to help you with small things.”

Touched by her story, Jake said, “Claire, I appreciate what you’ve done, but you can’t just break into our home. It’s not safe, and it scared me.”
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to frighten you. I just wanted to help,” Claire answered, looking ashamed.
In order to cheer her up, the girls thanked her for the pancakes and noted they were really tasty.
Taking a deep breath and feeling relieved for learning who make the pancakes, Jake said, “Claire, let’s do this differently. No more sneaking in, okay? How about you join us for breakfast now and then? We can get to know each other better.”
Claire was happy to accept the generous offer.
She then shared her life story and explained that she was trying to reunite with her son. After hearing that, Jake agreed to help her fulfill that dream of hers. Over time, they bonded, creating a new chapter for both their families, filled with hope and mutual support.

When it comes to Howie Mandel, the first thing that comes to mind is positivism and laughter.
According to IMDb, he started his career in showbiz by pure chance. A producer noticed him during an amateur night at the Comedy Store on the L.A. Sunset Strip during a vacation after his friends convinced him to try it out.
Today, Mandel is one of the most famous names in the world of entertainment. A TV celebrity, screenwriter, actor, producer, director, entrepreneur, and popular game show panelist/host, you name it, Mandel has tried it all and proved that he’s great in all of it.
Recently, however, he decided to open up about his mental state and confessed he’s been battling anxiety, ADHD, and OCD most of his life. The truth is that no one can really assume that someone as fun as Mandel could be going through such a thing.
“I’m living in a nightmare,” he declared. ” I work to ground myself. I love what I do and have a lovely family. However, I can also experience severe sadness from which I can never recover.”

This turned even worse during the COVID-19 pandemic when we were forced into lockdown. Mandel revealed to People magazine that there was no day the thought “we would die” didn’t cross his mind. But the fact that no one from his closest surrounding was affected gave him comfort.
Although he was diagnosed in his thirties, Mandal knows he had OCD and ADHD since forever. He, however, didn’t speak of his mental state openly because he believed it would affect his career. “My first reaction was that I’ve embarrassed my family,” he admitted. “Then I realized that nobody would hire someone who wasn’t stable. Those were my concerns.”
The compulsions and obsessions are very distressing and interfere with day-to-day tasks. “I’m in a bad dream,” the Canadian-born comedian declared. “I attempt to ground myself. Mandel remarks, “I have a great family, including my wife Terry and their three children, Riley, Jackie, and Alex. I adore what I do. However, I can sometimes have periods of deep depression from which I cannot recover.”
In a conversation on her talk show in 2022, he shared his mental health concerns with Kelly Clarkson.
I have OCD and am neurotic. People believe that because I’m out and about, I’m having fun and enjoying myself. I’m terrified,” He told the host. “I like to go home and just live in the foetal position.”
Clarkson responded, “It’s so funny to me, because every time I’m around you, even seeing you out of work… you’re so the opposite of what I would think.”
Mandel chuckled, “I know, I’m such a joy, I’m a light, I’m an energy, and I’m stunning. To be really honest, I take a lot of medication.
It was comedy that helped him during the toughest times in his life.
“My coping mechanism is finding the humorous,” he declared. “If I’m not smiling, I’m probably sobbing. And I’ve still held back on how horrible and dark it actually gets. In a way, comedy saved me. I feel very much at ease on stage. And when I have nothing to do, I retreat, which is not healthy.”
Mandel’s goal is to help raise awareness about mental illness and break the stigma.

The disappearance of Madeleine McCann, on the evening of May 3, 2007, remains one of “the most heavily reported missing-person case in modern history.”
Then 4-year-old Madeleine went missing from an apartment in Praia da Luz, in Portugal, while her parents were out having dinner.
17 years after she vanished, her parents are convinced that she’s still alive.
On her 18th birthday, May 12, 2022, her devastated mom and dad shared a heart-wrenching message. “We love you and we’re waiting for you and we’re never going to give up.”
In 2020, detectives investigating Madeleine McCann’s case expressed their belief that she had been murdered. German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters reportedly stated that he does not think the suspect in the case, Christian Brueckner, transported Madeleine from Praia da Luz to Germany, as many have speculated, but instead killed her in Portugal, according to the Evening Standard Newspaper. Wolters also said, “I am optimistic we will solve this case.”
German pedophile Christian Brueckner, 44, is currently serving a seven-year prison sentence for the rape of a 72-year-old American woman in Praia da Luz in 2005. Additionally, he is awaiting trial for a separate case in which he is accused of raping an Irish tour representative in 2004.
Recently, Madeleine’s mom, Kate McCann shared that she believes a note written in the restaurant’s reservation book could have contributed to her daughter’s disappearance, as per the Netflix’s documentary series The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
Kate also opened up about these suspicions in her book Madeleine: Our Daughter’s Disappearance and the Continuing Search for Her.
The note outlined the group’s plan to leave their children sleeping in their nearby apartments while they dined. However, it was reportedly visible to the restaurant staff and possibly to the rest of the guests at the Ocean Club Resort in Praia da Luz.
Kate has suggested that this note might have been accessible to individuals with ill intentions, possibly contributing to Madeleine’s abduction. Her fear is that this note provided crucial details about the McCanns’ routine, making it easier for a perpetrator to target their apartment.
“To my horror, I saw that, no doubt in all innocence and simply to explain why she was bending the rules a bit, the receptionist had added the reason for our request: we wanted to eat close to our apartments as we were leaving our young children alone there and checking on them intermittently,” Kate wrote. “We will continue to regret it deeply till the end of our days.”
In one of Madeleine’s parents’ latest social media post, they expressed their disappointment at their defeat in the legal case against Portuguese officer Goncalo Amara, whom they are convinced hindered the search for their daughter.
We truly hope Madeleine is still alive and that she will eventually be reunited with her parents who have never lost hope of finding her.

One of the things two people in love promise to one another on their wedding day is to stay by each other’s side in sickness and in health. Finding that person who lives by these words is priceless and the truth is that not everyone is lucky enough to have someone that special by their side.
Brad and Liz from Phoenix, Arizona, had a beautiful life together. They had three children, and their every day was filled with happiness and laughter.
