Quite often, the funniest memories come from the least expected situations and family interactions. In the following lighthearted story, a grandma and a grandpa visit their children and decide to spend the night at their son’s place, but an unexpected discovery in the medicine cabinet leads to a hilarious twist no one saw coming.

After they decided to stay at their son’s place for the night, Grandpa noticed a bottle of V pills in the medicine cabinet and asked his son if he could use one.
“I don’t think you should take one, Dad. They’re really strong and expensive,” the son replied.
“How much?” asked Grandpa. “Ten dollars a pill,” replied the son. “I don’t mind,” said Grandpa. “I’d still like to try one, and before we leave in the morning, I’ll put the money under the pillow.”
The following morning, the son saw $110 under the pillow and believed his dad misunderstood him when he told him the price for the pill.
The life of Avery Koonce, a 19-year-old standout athlete and a U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) cadet, was cut short due to untreated bacteria in her lungs.
The lifeless body of Koonce was found inside her dorm and despite the efforts of the paramedics to revive her, there was nothing they could do, Air Force officials reported. She was discovered by fellow cadets, who called the emergency services.
Prior to graduating from Thrall ISD, Koonce was awarded the Congressional Nomination for the academy by U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Waco, on March 27. She was an outstanding student who competed in cross country, powerlifting and track and field. Koonce was also a distinguished cheerleader.

Following her tragic passing, it was determined by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office that Koonce died of complications from pneumonia.
As per the coroner’s report obtained byPeople, the 19-year-old had anaerobic bacteria called Paeniclostridium sordellii, which is relatively rare but can be fatal. This bacteria caused sepsis and complicated an underlying, acute viral lower respiratory tract infection. As per reports, Koonce had been suffering from bad cough the days prior to her passing but she was probably unaware of the severity of her illness and failed to seek medical attention.
According to the coroner’s office, the bacteria that claimed the life of the Air Force Academy freshman “can cause serious disease or death in various clinical settings including airway infection.”
“In essence, she died of untreated pneumonia,” forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden told IBT.
Koonce’s parents and family have been deeply affected by her tragic and untimely passing. “Our daughter, Cadet Avery Koonce, was an incredibly bright light in this broken world,” they said in a statement released through the Academy. “Our lives will forever be diminished because of her absence.”

On September 12, members of Koonce’s community held a memorial service at Tiger Stadium in Thrall in her honor. The service was attended by over 100 people who came to pay their tributes to the aspiring young woman who was taken too soon.
Lt. Gen. Tony Bauernfeind, USAFA Superintendent highlighted Koonce’s profound impact on her squadron, track team, and class, despite her brief time at the academy, saying, “We lost an incredible teammate.”
We are deeply saddened by the loss of such a young life. May she rest in peace.

The relationship between Prince Harry and the rest of the royals remains a rocky one.
It all started when he and Meghan Markle made the decision to leave Britain behind and settle in California. This decision, however, didn’t only trigger a change in the number of working royals, but it also affected Harry’s relationship with his niece and nephews.
When Prince George was born, Harry felt like the happiest uncle on Earth. In his all-tell memoir Spare, he wrote that he looked forward to spending quality time with his nephew, but that wasn’t what happened. According to him, he wasn’t incited over at his brother’s place as often as he wished to, but believed William and Kate were busy building their own family so he didn’t overstep with William and Kate.
Despite this, Harry was able to create and nurture a strong bond with George, and later with Charlotte.

However, when he stepped down from his royal duties and moved to the States, the youngest of his brother’s children, Louis, was still a toddler, so Harry didn’t have much time to connect to him. What’s most, he’s only seen Louis a handful of times since he left his homeland.
When the little Prince was christened, Harry went to great lengths to gift him a very special present that represented a continuation of a sweet tradition his late mother Diana started when Harry himself was a child. He bought Louis the first edition of Winnie-the-Pooh, hoping to build a library of first editions for Louis and his siblings.
“One of Harry’s happiest childhood memories was being read a bedtime story by his mother. She loved all the old classics, and Harry had the brilliant idea of starting a little library of first editions for Louis, Charlotte, and George to enjoy as they get older,” a close source told the Daily Record.

Harry bought the original edition of A. A. Milne’s book for around £8,000 ($10,000).
“He originally wanted to get Lewis Carroll’s Through The Looking Glass, which was on sale for £24,000, but decided Winnie-The-Pooh would be more suitable for a first tome. Robinson Crusoe was William’s favorite book, but Harry loved all things A.A. Milne,” the source continued.
This was a meaningful gift, and Harry truly looked forward to building a connection with his brother’s children, who he now no longer sees.
In his book, Harry spoke of Charlotte and Louis, fearing that they could end up being “spares” just like him.
“Though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare,” Harry said.
“And that hurts, that worries me.”
Harry continued: “I was brought into the world in case something happened to Willy, I was summoned to provide backup, distraction, diversion and, if necessary, a spare part. Kidney, perhaps. Blood transfusion. Speck of bone marrow. This was all made explicitly clear to me from the start of life’s journey and regularly reinforced thereafter.”

The Duke was later criticized about speaking of his brother’s children, with royal expert Ingrid Seward saying he should” lay off Prince William’s children.”
However, it seems that William and Kate are indeed worried that Harry’s words may come true so they do the best of their abilities to make Charlotte and Louis feel as special as their oldest sibling, George.
Speaking to the Mirror, royal expert Jennie Bond said she believes William and Kate would encourage both Charlotte and Louis to pursue careers outside the royal fold if they want to.
“And from there they will want him to find a life that is meaningful to him as well as appropriate for the son of a future King. They will try to ensure that he feels he is living a life of value, irrespective of his place in the line of succession and that will probably involve service of some kind as they have emphasized from the start that they want their children to understand that having empathy with others is not only a kindness, but is rewarding as well,” Bond stated.

Being their uncle, George, Charlotte, and Louis probably wonder why Harry is no longer present in their lives. Whether they know the reason why he no longer lives in Britain is unknown.
Royal commentator Lydia Alty believes the three royal children are ‘likely asking questions’ about Harry and what really happened when he left.
“Prince Harry used to be close to his brother, Prince William. He was also very close to Prince William’s wife, the Princess of Wales and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis,” she said.
“Harry was even close to his father, despite reports and claims from him that he wasn’t. Now that the royals have all split up and, as far as we know, not talking, this will have affected George, Charlotte and Louis.”
Lydia Alty concluded: “His nephews and niece will probably be wondering why they haven’t seen their uncle and cousins.”

William and Kate first met when they both attended the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. At first, they were just friends and shared a flat together with other people and it all started from there.
Speaking of the time they first laid eyes on each other, Kate once shared, “I actually went bright red when I met you and scuttled off feeling very shy about meeting you.
“William wasn’t there for quite a bit of the time initially, he wasn’t there from Fresher’s Week, so it did take a bit of time for us to get to know each other.”

According to the documentary The Day Will and Kate Got Married which aired in April 2021, the two were just good friends at the beginning but one night changed it all. During a student fashion show, Kate wore a sheer dress that wooed the Prince, and the rest is history.
“A switch had been flicked, he suddenly saw her in a different light, and I really believe that was the turning point in their relationship,” Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent, Katie Nicholl, said in the documentary.
A reported by The Telegraph, Prince William said: “We were friends for over a year first and it just sort of blossomed from then on. We just spent more time with each other and had a good giggle, and realized we shared the same interests.”
Their love was deep and they got the entire attention from the media. Kate even made a public appearance with the Royals and attended the Sovereign’s Parade at the Royal Military Academy, in which William attended, along with her family.
And as everyone believed a royal marriage was just around the corner, the two split in 2007.

Recalling the time of their break up, both Kate and William claimed it was actually good for them because they got to “find themselves.” Kate even said that “you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you’re younger,” as per The Telegraph.

William wore his uniform with pride, but according to reports, he had something else in mind, but his wish wasn’t granted by his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Royal expert Roya Nikkhah claimed in the BBC documentary Royal Wedding: A Day to Remember that the young Prince to wear his Household Cavalry military uniform instead.
“The military is everything to William and to Harry. The Queen said, ‘No, you’re wearing your Irish Guards. You are the new Colonel of the Irish Guards.’ That’s the one thing he didn’t get his way on, and he deferred to Granny,” Nikkhah said.
This was confirmed by Harry in his all-tell memoir Spare in which he wrote, “He’d asked Granny if he could wear his Household Cavalry kit and she’d turned him down. As the Heir, he must wear the Number One Ceremonial, she decreed.”

“Willy was glum at having so little say in what he wore to get married, at having his autonomy taken from him on such an occasion. He’d told me several times that he felt frustrated,” Harry wrote.
“I assured him that he looked bloody smart in the Harp of Ireland, with the Crown Imperial and the forage cap with the regimental motto: ‘Quis Separabit? Who shall separate us?’ It didn’t seem to make an impression.”
Reportedly, when speaking about the choice of outfit for his wedding, William told journalist Robert Hardman, “You just do as you’re told!”
This “issue” wasn’t the only one that bothered William.
He also showed his concerns regarding the guest list, which included many celebrities, royalty, and friends from his and Kate’s university days. However, most of the people on that list were unknown to William.

“When the guest list was drawn up [William] was very bemused and had a conversation with the Queen to say ‘I don’t know any of these people’. He wasn’t very happy about it. The Queen just said to him, rip that list up and start where you want to start from and invite who you want – and that’s what they did,” Nikkhah revealed.
The guests had a wonderful time at the wedding. One of them, the landlord from The Old Boot Inn, the Middleton family’s local pub in their hometown, said, “It was great that Kate and William were allowed to invite all their own friends. Friends from the village, from uni, friends that she grew up with. She invited me, I’ve known her 15 years or so. It was fabulous.”
In his book, Catherine, The Princess of Wales: The Biography, Robert Jobson wrote that the wedding truly was one to remember, especially when You’re the One That I Want from the musical Grease started playing and the newlyweds took the dance floor and danced their hearts out.
The wedding of William and Kate is still remembered as one of the most extravagant ones.

The Academy Awards, or the Oscars, remain the highest honor in filmmaking due to their historic significance, global recognition, and cultural impact.
The ceremony was first held in 1929, becoming synonymous with excellence in cinema, recognizing achievements in acting, directing, writing, and technical crafts. Over the years, it witnessed the greatest of all in the industry taking the stage, either as nominees, winners, or presenters.
At the same time, the Oscars have been all about prestige, glamour, and luxury.
One year in particular, 1975, is a representation of Hollywood’s creative reawakening. Many of the films that stood out that year pushed boundaries and represented the American culture from a rather different perspective, with directors such as Francis Ford Coppola and his masterpiece The Godfather Part II and Roman Polanski with the everlasting Chinatown promoting darker, more intense style.

All in all, this year’s Oscars was “back when actors and actresses had class and no political agenda,” but that wasn’t entirely true.
Nominated for the role of Lenny in a biographical film about comedian Lenny Bruce, actor Dustin Hoffman compared the Oscars to a beauty pageant, dubbing the ceremony ”ugly” and ”grotesque.” This led host Bob Hope to make a joke at Hoffman’s expense, saying, “If Dustin Hoffman wins tonight, he’s going to have a friend pick it up for him — George C. Scott,” referring to Scott’s refusal to receive his award four years prior. Hoffman, however, didn’t win.
One particular scene that is still remembered by many is the acceptance speech by documentary filmmaker Bert Schneider, whose winning documentary Hearts & Minds centered around the Vietnam War which was about to end in April of that year. Schneider couldn’t help but bring up the debate about the war, saying, “It’s ironic that we’re here at a time just before Vietnam is about to be liberated.”
He then read a telegram from Viet Cong Ambassador Dinh Ba Thi that said, “Greetings of Friendship to All American People” and thanked the anti-war movement.
This didn’t sit well with host Bob Hope who later handed a telegram to Frank Sinatra to read.
“The academy is saying, ‘We are not responsible for any political references made on the program, and we are sorry they had to take place this evening.’”
Shirley MacLaine, one of the co-hosts, and actor Warren Beatty fired back. “Thank you, Frank, you old Republican,” Beatty reacted, while MacLaine added: “You said you were speaking for the Academy. Well, I’m a member of the Academy and you didn’t ask me!”

What raised eyebrows that year was Art Carney winning an award for his portrayal of Harry and Tonto, as some believed this robbed Al Pacino of an Oscar for his iconic role as Michael Corleone in The Godfather.
A photo from that spectacular night that is still talked about today nearly fifty years later is that of Jon Voight and Raquel Welch, who were considered one of the most renowned actors in the world of film at the time, and even today.

What made this photo controversial isn’t the actors’ choice of outfit, which is relatively typical for that period, but the way Voight holds his fellow colleague.
While this image is considered iconic, it resurfaced recently and people couldn’t help but comment that Voight’s hold on stunning Welch is rather inappropriate. “Jon’s looking like a creep. Raquel doesn’t look comfortable. Unless they were a couple—that’s well creepy,” one woman commented. Another added: “She looks like he is touching her without her consent 🥺.”
As expected, there have been those who wrote that people are execrating as this was a normal pose back in the day.

Back in 1993, the birth of a baby boy named Tomm Tennent from South East Australia stunned not only his parents and doctors, but pretty much the entire world. The story of his mysterious condition which left him with enough skin to cover the body of a 5-year-old made everyone wonder what life would bring for this boy.
Tomm’s parents were aware their bundle of joy would be different, but no ultrasound could prepare them for the severity of the condition. When they were told something was wrong with their baby, they even considered terminating the pregnancy, but luckily, that didn’t happen.
Speaking to 60 Minutes Australia, Tomm’s dad, Geoff Tennent, said back in 2003, “When he came out I was quite shocked (…) I didn’t think a human, or a little baby, could ever look like that.”
His mom also spoke of the moment she first saw her baby boy. “My heart came up to my throat, but at the same time it was lovely to pick him up and cuddle him,” she said.
Over the years, Tomm spent a lot of time at hospital, not because he was sick, but because doctors wanted to examine his condition and learn how to help him. Since the literature never documented a case like his before, they had a hard time learning what caused him to have so much excess skin.
Upon further research, they were finally able to give Tomm and his parents some answers.
Namely, experts saw similarities between the way Tomm looked and the Chinese dog breed Shar Pei. They discovered that Tomm’s level of Hyaluronic acid, found in skin, was 100 times higher than normal, which is the case with Shar Pei puppies.
Knowing that those levels drop as puppies grow older, doctors hoped the same would eventually happen to Tomm. And they were right.
However, until reaching that point in life, Tomm experienced certain difficulties. Besides that, he has always been a lovable boy who loved the way he looked.
When asked if he had any concerns about how his friends saw him, Tomm told 60 Minutes, “Not really (…) because they are my friends and they don’t really care how I look like. Sometimes they (people) say I look cool, sometimes they say I look really cool, and sometimes they don’t say anything.”
Since 2003, when Tomm and his parents gave the interview to 60 Minutes, 21 have passed. Today, Tomm looks completely normal, no excess skin at all.
Although his story didn’t receive much media attention while he was growing up, except for, of course, when he was born, many people wondered how Tomm looks like nowadays.
“Life’s simple. You make choices, and you don’t look back,” Tomm posted on his Facebook profile, and we assume this quote sums up his mindset and his whole life.
An idyllic family who had built their peace of heaven near the river in the North Carolina mountains have been swept by a huge wave during Hurricane Helene.
The family of four, Alison Wisely, her fiancé Knox Petrucci, and her two children, Felix, 9, and Lucas, 7, tried to leave their home as the hurricane approached, but their vehicle began to float as they tried to navigate the floodwaters. As driving the car was hard, they abandoned their efforts to evacuate and decided to return to their home, but on their way home, a wave swept them all into the Toe River.
Since the tragedy struck, their bodies were all recovered.
As per close family members, Alison and Knox made preparations when warnings of Hurricane Helene had been announced. They purchased pallets and sandbags and anticipated minor flooding of their home’s basement, believing the mountains would serve as a protection, mainly because the area has never experienced extreme weather events.
Sadly, they were wrong as the Toe River surged by 22 feet, with water levels coming within inches of reaching the ceiling of Alison and Knox’s one-story house.
According to the GoFundMe set by Knox’s sister Briana Petrucci Yarbrough, her brother and Alison were to get married on November 9, 2024.
She wrote about how precious the family was and how idyllic the life they created had been.
Knox was a beekeeper, musician, songwriter, artist, and an aspiring blacksmith. “Along with being an advocate for the Earth and bees, Knox was always there for friends who were like family and inspired others in the way he moved through life with authenticity and boundless love and acceptance,” the Briana wrote of her brother.
“Brilliant and wise Alison, was a most loving mother to the boys she shared and co-parented with Lance Wisely, their devoted dad,” she continued.
Felix and Lucas were adorable young boys who loved playing Minecraft and enjoyed drawing and painting.
The boys’ dad, Lance Wisely, took to Facebook to share the devastating news of his children’s, Alison’s and Knox’s tragic deaths.
“The boys were loved fiercely and generously by all of their grown ups, and by you, even many of you who never met them have watched them grow up and shared in our joys as a family. Their lives were dense with adventure, art, silliness, and snuggles. It has been my great honor and pleasure and exhausting privilege to be their father for their time in this world with us,” he wrote.
He praised Alison for being a great mother, and added that Knox had always impressed him for loving the boys as though they were his own.
Recent reports indicate that over 230 people have been discovered dead following Hurricane Helene, as authorities in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee continue recovering bodies nearly two weeks after the storm struck. The death toll of Hurricane Milton, which struck Florida on October 9, has been reported to be at least 16.

During a live broadcast covering Hurricane Milton, CNN’sAnderson Cooper was struck by debris on the face, leaving his fans concerned.
Hurricane Milton, measuring as a category three storm, the second of its kind that hit Florida in a matter of weeks, made landfall on October 9, spawning dozens of tornadoes and 28ft waves, along with extremely strong winds.
Millions of homes and businesses have been left without electricity and the death toll has been reported to be at least sixteen.
Before the hurricane struck, officials urged the citizens to seek evacuation, which many did. Yet, there were those who opted to stay in their homes, expecting the worse, but praying for the best.

Live from Bradenton, Florida, a few miles away from Siesta Key, Anderson Cooper reported on the hurricane while battling wind speeds of more than 150mph when a piece of debris hit him in the face. “Woah! That wasn’t good. We’ll probably go inside shortly,” he said before he continued with the live broadcast.
Fans and viewers were quick to comment on the incident, hoping Cooper wasn’t seriously injured.
Many wondered why he was even reporting from outside given the weather conditions and the expected severity of Hurricane Milton.

Charles waited long to become a king, and his son William would ascend the throne in case of Charles’ passing or in case he abdicates, which is very unlikely.
King Charles holds the record of longest-serving monarch-in-waiting in British history, surpassing Edward VII’s record of 59 years. At the same time, he’s the eldest person to be crowned king in Britain.
When he witnessed his mother becoming the head of the monarchy, King Charles was a three-year-old boy. Back then, he was totally unaware that one day he would be the one overtaking the monarchy.
That day arrived with the passing of his mother, late Queen Elizabeth, who ruled the country over 70 years. Her reign spanned 14 US presidencies, from Truman to Joe Biden, and met all but one.
However, during Charles’ reign, the monarchy has faced plenty of issues, including the feud between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the family, him being diagnosed with cancer, and Kate Middleton undergoing a planned abdominal surgery and being diagnosed with cancer herself.

Over the last few decades, several European countries have seen their monarchs abdicate in favor of the younger generation of royals, most recently Denmark, when Queen Margrethe II of Denmark became the first Danish monarch to abdicate in more than 900 years. The country celebrated their new head of the monarchy, King Frederik X, in the capital of Copenhagen on Sunday and the Prince and Princess of Wales have closely followed the events unfolding.
Queen Margrethe II of Denmark announced her abdication on TV during her yearly speech on New Year’s Eve. The nation was shocked because no one expected it. She explained that she believed it was time for her son to take her place. Queen Margrethe II, 83, took the throne after her father, King Frederik IX, died in 1972.
“I will leave the throne to my son Crown Prince Frederik,” she said in the televised New Year’s address.
Another reason for this decision was the Queen’s ailing health and her advanced age. In 2023, she had undergone a back surgery and needed time to rest and rehabilitate.

According to royal author Phil Dampier, Charles’ abdication may become a reality in a couple of years, as per the Daily Mail.
“It must make you wonder if in five or ten years’ time, King Charles might think about doing the same if his health suffers or he just thinks it is a good time to pass on to William and Kate while they are still young. Our late Queen would never abdicate because of what happened in 1936 when her uncle abdicated and her father came to the throne. But times change,” he said.
“William and Kate get on very well with Frederik and Mary and will be among the first to congratulate them. They will be fascinated to see how they get on as King and Queen and it will make them think about their future as well.”

The Guardian columnist Simon Jenkins believes King Charles should follow Queen Margrethe steps and do the same.
“Growing old should never be a bar to work, but age does not negotiate. Britain’s King Charles, after a long apprenticeship, has proved an active and popular figure in his term of office. He has shown no sign of ageing, other than perhaps his limp Christmas message. He is certainly entitled to a substantial reign after waiting so long,” Jenkins wrote.
“But not to death. Charles has a successor, William, well-trained and evidently suited for the job. The abdication of Beatrix of the Netherlands to Willem-Alexander in 2013 was an ideal precedent. It prompted an outpouring of gratitude for her reign, a welcome for her son, and a stronger monarchy as a result. The flamboyant conductor André Rieu had the Dutch joyously dancing in the streets in their thousands. There was none of the lugubriousness inevitably attached to Britain’s succession through death.”
Jenkins continued, “Abdication also indicates a nation able to keep its institutions fit for purpose. In slimming down the royal family, Charles has wisely indicated a desire to end such damaging princely sagas as those of Andrew and Harry. But he must surely go further in updating the office he should one day hand over to his son.”

So far, King Charles has tried to both slim down and modernize the monarchy, but in recent years, the public accused the monarchy of being out of touch with current social issues.
Even before he took the new role, Charles announced he would be making changes within the Royal Family. In the past, sources claimed that then Prince Charles spoke of slimming down the monarchy.
“Charles has never made any secret of the fact that he wants a slimmed-down Monarchy when he becomes King. He realizes that the public don’t want to pay for a huge Monarchy and, as he said, the balcony at Buckingham Palace would probably collapse,” he was reported to have said.

Also, Charles has already taken a step towards transforming the royals into a more modern institution by opening up Balmoral to the public.
Still, being at the age he’s in, King Charles is not in touch with the younger generation like William and Kate are.
Even now, Prince William is heavily involved in issues such as global warming.
While King Charles continues to be fully committed to his role of the head of the monarchy, there could be growing speculations in the future about whether or not he should step down and leave the throne to William.

The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was quite a spectacle. Millions of people got to witness the young Prince tying the knot to the woman he described as the love of his life.
From this extravagant ceremony watched by 29.19 million viewers, to the birth of their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor in 2019, the stepping down from their royal duties, the Sussex Royals’ every move has been closely followed by the media. That same media that “forced” them to leave the U.K. and move to the States.

According to the Duchess, before the split with the Firm, she and Harry allegedly asked for a permission to move to another country in the Commonwealth, perhaps South Africa or Canada. However, the answer was a resounding “no.”
“Anything to just … because just by existing, we were upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy. So we go, ‘Okay, fine, let’s get out of here. Happy to,’” Meghan recalled during a recent interview with The Cut.
Saying that other Royal Family members had gotten the green light for the same arrangement, she added, “That, for whatever reason, is not something that we were allowed to do, even though several other members of the family do that exact thing.”

When Meghan first met William, he was very fond of her, although she believed at the time that the relationship between the two would be “trying” from the off, according to Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, authors of the Pro-Sussex biography Finding Freedom.
“She was self-aware enough to understand that the brothers were wary of women who were more interested in their titles than their wellbeing,” Scobie and Durand wrote in the book. “And she couldn’t have come from a more different world than that of William, his wife, and most of their friends.”
However, the first-ever encounter between William and Meghan was quite pleasant for both of them.
William was reported to have said to his brother’s girlfriend: “I was looking forward to meeting the girl who has put that silly grin on my brother’s face.”
At the same time, William was concerned that the things between Harry and Meghan were moving too fast. “William soon began to wonder about some of Meghan’s traits and motivations,” a source told the Daily Mail, as revealed by the Express.
“He was worried that at times she seemed to be more concerned about her personal progression or profile over the wider goals and aims of the Royal Family.
“Eventually, he decided to keep those feeling for himself because all he ever wanted was for “[Meghan] to be happy and appreciated the huge adjustment of entering the Royal Family.”

Fast forward to Meghan becoming part of the family officially, she found it hard to get used to that new life and Harry didn’t believe his brother and sister-in-law helped Meghan settle in.
Speaking to Fox in 2022, royal expert and author Katie Nicholl, who had just released The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown, said, “It was certainly Harry’s feeling that William and Kate hadn’t rolled out the red carpet as much as they might have done.
“You know, there wasn’t this sort of instant welcoming of Meghan into the royal fold,” she added.
“I say in the book that William was the first to meet Meghan. And actually, he was really thrilled that Harry had met someone who he’d really fallen for. He was overjoyed when Meghan came into his life, and he fell in love with this woman,” she added.

Harry proposed to Meghan with a custom three-stone ring that featured diamonds from his late mother’s jewelry collection, but the following year, when their wedding was to take place, William was allegedly concerned that Meghan would wear a piece of jewelry that belonged to Princess Diana.
“I have been told that, still concerned about the match, he’d sought assurances from the Queen that Harry’s bride would not be wearing any of Princess Diana’s jewellery, even though his own wife was allowed to wear it,” author Robert Jobson wrote in Catherine, The Princess of Wales: The Biography, per the Mirror.
“Despite sharp digs and thin skins on both sides, the wedding at Windsor in May 2018 was a spectacular success,” Jobson continued. “In public, the Royal Family were all smiles, though privately they were at daggers drawn.”
The relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the royals remains rocky.

Former president Jimmy Carter has been into hospice for some time now, but he still gathered the strength to attend the funeral and the memorial service of his loving wife of 77 years, Rosalynn Carter, who passed away at the age of 96 on November 19, 2023.
During the final hours of her rich life, Jimmy was by his wife’s side. His son said that he asked to spend some time alone with her so that the two could talk to one another with their beds placed one next to another.
The funeral service was held at Maranatha Baptist Church, where Jimmy Carter and the former first lady worshipped. Earlier tributes were held in nearby Americus and in Atlanta.
Jimmy arrived in a wheelchair, wearing a black suit and a blanket bearing his and Rosalynn’s faces in her honor.
Unfortunately, Jimmy’s health is deteriorating as well. His grandson, Jason Carter, offered an update on his grandfather’s condition and said that the 39th President of the United States might not have too long left.
Rosalynn Carter was the driving force behind her husband of over seven decades.
They were by each other’s side through thick and thin.
“Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” Jimmy Carter said in the statement following Rosalynn’s passing. “She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”

Sadly, with Rosalynn now gone, the main consensus is that Jimmy’s condition could take a steep turn for the worse.
“He’s coming to the end, and he’s very, very physically diminished,” Jimmy’s grandson told the New York Post prior to Rosalynn’s memorial service..
“He has been this moral rock for so many people, but she really was that rock for him.”
During the memorial service for Rosalynn, Amy Carter, the couple’s daughter, read a letter that Jimmy sent to his wife while he was away serving in the Navy.
“My darling, every time I’ve ever been away from you, I have been thrilled when I returned to discover just how wonderful you are,” he wrote. “When I see you, I fall in love all over again.”

The love story of Jimmy and Rosalynn resembled a fairy tale.
During his presidency from 1977 to 1981, Jimmy Carter told aides, “Rosalynn is my best friend… the perfect extension of me, probably the most influential person in my life.”
Roselynn wasn’t just a First Lady, but she was her husband’s closest advisor who stood by his side supporting every decision he made as a head of the country.

After leaving the White House, the Carters returned to live in their family house in Plains, Georgia. The house, which according to Zillow is valued at $209,996, was built in 1961, when the Carters welcomed their fourth child in their lives and needed a bigger place. The couple always led a quite and a very simple life.
Earlier this year, the Carter family revealed that Rosalynn was diagnosed with dementia. Shortly after, she entered hospice and spent the last days of her life surrounded by family and her loving husband. She barely walked, with a help of a walker, and her health declined significantly.
Jimmy’s grandson, Jason, delivered an update on his grandfather while speaking at the 28th Rosalynn Carter Georgia Mental Health Forum on Tuesday. “(My grandfather) is doing OK. He has been in hospice, as you know, for almost a year and a half now, and he really is, I think, coming to the end that, that — as I’ve said before, there’s a part of this faith journey that is so important to him. And there’s a part of that faith journey that you only can live at the very end, and I think he has been there in that space.”

“My grandmother’s passing was a difficult moment for all of us, including my grandfather,” Jason told the audience at the forum.
“The outpouring of love and support that we as a family received from the people in this room and from the rest of the world was so remarkable and meaningful for us and really turned this process into a celebration.”
At the mental health forum, Jason reminisced about a conversation he had shared with his grandfather a few weeks prior, as they sat together watching an Atlanta Braves game.
“‘People ask me how you’re doing and I say, I don’t know’ and he said, ‘Well, I don’t know myself,’” Jason remembered.
October 1 marked President Carter’s 100th birthday. Ahead of that special milestone, his grandson again spoke of his grandfather’s health condition noting he is physically diminished but still mentally and emotionally present.
“He’s doing okay,” Jason said of the former president, as per People, at “Jimmy Carter 100: A Celebration in Song,” sponsored by Delta Air Lines, an event that took place on Sept. 17 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta two weeks before Carter’s actual birthday.
“I mean he’s been in hospice for over 19 months now and he has really physically diminished and can’t do much on his own, but he is emotionally engaged and still having experiences and laughing, loving,” he added.
The former president’s birthday celebration included performances and celebrity guest appearances from Renée Zellweger, Dale Murphy, Killer Mike, and many more.

The family initially believed that Jimmy’s passing was imminent, but he has since defied the odds. “God had other plans,” Jason shared, emphasizing that they cannot predict his condition from day to day.
“He’s plugged in,” Chip, the 74-year-old son of the former president shared with Associated Press, explaining his father intends to live long enough to cast his vote on Election Day. “I asked him two months ago if he was trying to live to be 100, and he said, No, I’m trying to live to vote for Kamala Harris.”
Jason added: “Not everybody gets 100 years on this earth, and when somebody does, and when they use that time to do so much good for so many people, it’s worth celebrating.”
He continued, “These last few months, 19 months, now that he’s been in hospice, it’s been a chance for our family to reflect…and then for the rest of the country and the world to really reflect on him. That’s been a really gratifying time.”

Michelle and Barack Obama, who served as the 44th US president from 2009 to 2017 are still active in the political arena. That said, they remain under the limelight and the public is very interested in both their private and professional lives, including the lives of their two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

In the past, during the 2012 presidential campaign to be exact, Former President Barack Obama opened up about an unpleasant experience the family went through when Sasha was just three months old.
“People ask me what was the hardest time in my life — they ask, well what about during the debt ceiling debate and this and that and the other thing,” he started his speech, and added that one of the hardest times in his life was when Sasha was diagnosed with meningitis when she was just a baby.
Later on, Michelle brought up the topic with Rev. Al Sharpton, saying that the experience still lives in her memory.
“I will never forget. It was a day when, you know, one hour she was fine, she was normal, she was happy, doing everything I was used to her doing and the next hour she was crying inconsolably, and that just wasn’t like her. And I did everything.”
She then added, “I tried to do – tried to feed her, tried to rock her, tried to burp her. Finally, I just thought, I need to call my pediatrician.”
Once at the emergency department, doctors ran tests and performed a spinal tap.
Luckily, things turned out for the best for Sasha thanks to her parents’ quick reaction and the access to medical treatment. Had they not had access to pediatrician, health insurance, and hospital care without worrying for the cost of the treatment, things could have taken the wrong turn, Michelle explained.
“If we had waited overnight, if we had postponed acting, there’s no telling what the outcome would’ve been,” she added.
The family still thanks God for the outcome.

A 6th grade class were having a science class when the teacher, Mrs. Parker, asked a question that left the young minds a bit puzzled. The classroom was filled with awkward silence as the students tried to come up with an answer while they were secretly looking at each other in confusion.
The question was: “Class, can anyone tell me which human body part increases to ten times its size when stimulated?”
Finally, after some time, a student named Mary, a girl with outspoken nature, decided to stand up and take a stand. “Mrs. Parks, you should not be asking sixth-graders a question like that! I’m going to tell my parents, and they’ll surely report this to the principal, who will have no choice but to fire you!” Mary said with an angry voice.
Mrs. Parks held her composure and she simply repeated the question yet again. “Now, class, can anyone tell me which body part increases to ten times its size when stimulated?”
Mary couldn’t believe her teacher’s words and her inappropriate questioning.
She then whispered to the rest of the class: “Boy, is she going to get in big trouble!”
Mrs. Parks then encouraged the class to provide her with an answer by asking: “Anybody?”
Fearful that they could be misunderstood if they try to give an answer, the students remained silent. But then, a student named Billy, a very clever boy, stood up and with an obvious nervousness in his trembling voice, answered: “The body part that increases ten times its size when stimulated is the pupil of the eye.”
The class suddenly felt relieved as Mrs. Parks praised Billy for his contribution to the lesson.
The teacher then turned her attention to Marry, and with a playful glint in her eye told her: “As for you, young lady, I have three things to say: One, you have a dirty mind. Two, you didn’t read your homework. And three, one day you are going to be very, very disappointed.”

Kate Kaufling, a beloved college dancer, has sadly died of bone cancer at the tender age of 20. The University of Kentucky Athletics shared this tragic news through a press release, plunging the college community and dance team into grief. Kate’s journey is a symbol of resilience, fortitude, and motivation. She left a profound impact on all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
Kate attended the nursing program at the University of Kentucky and illuminated both the stage and the classroom with her presence. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment was something many knew her for. She not only graced the Kentucky Wildcats Dance Team with her talent but also endeared herself to others with her infectious smile. Kate’s effervescent personality radiated joy to everyone who new her.
Beyond her achievements in dance, Kate was a diligent student, driven by her aspiration to serve others as a nurse, inspired by the compassionate care she received during her own health challenges. Unfortunately, she lost her battle with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the age of 20. She is survived by her loving parents and her twin sister, Abbey.

“Kate was a joy to coach and to be around. Her smile could light up a room, and she was beloved by all of her UKDT teammates,” Coach Dawn Walters, head coach of the Wildcats Dance Team said of Kate.
Throughout her short but meaningful life, Kate touched many with her kindness and compassion.
Sandy Bell, the executive associate athletics director at the university, praised Kate as an “exceptional student” who showed dedication and resilience. Despite facing the challenges of cancer treatments, Kate remained steadfast in her commitment to her studies, serving as a source of inspiration for her teammates and setting a remarkable example for all.
The type of cancer Kate battled was osteosarcoma, which is a rare bone cancer that develops in the supporting tissues of the body such as bone, cartilage, tendons, fat and muscle.
As per the American Cancer Society, bone cancers such as osteosarcoma make up approximately 5% of all childhood cancer cases. Typically diagnosed in children and young adults aged 10 to 25, this cancer can manifest in any bone but is most frequently observed in the long bones of the arms and legs. Osteosarcoma is known for its aggressive nature, with a propensity to spread rapidly to other parts of the body if not detected and treated promptly. It disproportionately affects Caucasian individuals compared to African American or Hispanic populations.
The most common treatment for this type of cancer is surgery.
Kate’s passing affected the lives of many, including her family and friends. They would always remember her as a very special person with a heart of gold who went great lengths for the well-being of others. May she rest in peace.

James Darren, best known as the heartthrob Moondoggie in the Gidget movies, has died peacefully at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Monday at the age of 88.
According to the actor’s son, Jim Moret, his father suffered of a heart related illness.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Moret said that his father was to undergo an aortic valve replacement, but doctors said he was too week for the surgery. Despite that, the family believed he would pull through, but sadly, that didn’t happen.

He was discharged from the hospital, but was then taken in back after his health deteriorated further.
“I always thought he would pull through,” Moret told reporters. “Because he was so cool. He was always cool.”
Darren’s acting and singing career was a rich one. Among the rest, he starred in 66 episodes of T.J. Hooker in the role of police officer Jim Corrigan. Before that, he starred in The Guns of Navarone and the ABC sci-fi series The Time Tunnel. He was also a regular guest star in shows such as The Love Boat and Fantasy Island.
However, he is probably best remembered from his role in Moondoggie, the dark-haired surfer boy in Gidget.
In the 1990s, he had a recurring gig on Deep Space Nine as the holographic lounge singer Vic Fontaine.
Darren was the voice behind the Gidget theme song and one his songs, Goodbye Cruel World, climbed the charts in 1961.
We are deeply saddened by James Darren’s passing. May he rest in peace.

Prince Louis, who is a much loved member of the British royalty, is fourth in line regarding succession to the British throne, which means he’s not likely to ever become the head of monarchy. Still, he’s expected to play a crucial role in the family when the time comes.
After Louis’ uncle Harry left Britain behind and moved to the States with his wife and son, the topic of “spare to the heir” has been brought up by him in his book Spare, and Harry even wrote that young Louis may likely experience the same fate as him as he’s not the firstborn son of the future king.
Among the rest, Harry spoke of his niece and nephews, saying that he wasn’t invited to William and Kate’s home as much as he wished to after Prince George’s birth, adding that he fears Charlotte and Louis could “end up” just like him.

“Though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare,” Harry said in an interview with The Telegraph.
“And that hurts, that worries me.
“I was brought into the world in case something happened to Willy, I was summoned to provide backup, distraction, diversion and, if necessary, a spare part. Kidney, perhaps. Blood transfusion. Speck of bone marrow. This was all made explicitly clear to me from the start of life’s journey and regularly reinforced thereafter.”

Those commenting on the claims agreed that Harry’s revelations regarding his family are one things, but speaking of his brother’s children is something he shouldn’t have dared to do.
“Harry should lay off Prince William’s children. In fact, he should lay off everybody and button it now,” royal author Ingrid Seward told The Sun. “It is a very dangerous road to go down, to start talking about other people’s children.
“And what he says Prince William said to him is absolutely right – they are William’s responsibility and not his, so he should keep out of it.
“It is none of Harry’s business. But Harry has become dangerous to his family, and to himself, because he can lob in his little asides whenever he wants.”

With royal experts stating that the Duke crossed the line, William and Kate are in fact now trying to do something about avoiding Louis ever feel the way Harry has.
Royal expert Jennie Bond believes that the Prince and Princess of Wales have “a modern attitude” to bringing up their children and that they are doing all in their power to make Charlotte and Louis receive the exact same treatment Gorge is and not to feel any less special.
“I imagine they will encourage Louis to explore life outside the royal fold… it could be the military, but it could also be working in the charity world or whatever he finds appealing after his education is finished. I’m sure they will encourage him to go to University, which they both enjoyed and where, of course, they found love,” Bond told The Mirror.
They certainly don’t want Louis to feel any less valued only because of his place on the line of succession.
Of course, if in the future Prince Louise decides to remain a part of the fold, he would be assigned important roles and titles within the monarchy.

Despite this, Kate and William are believed that they would encourage their younger children to pursue their own careers.
“[William & Kate] don’t want history to repeat itself and Prince Louis seem like a royal hanger-on and go down the Duke of York path,” Camilla Tominey, royal expert and associate editor at The Telegraph writes.
“A lot of the more minor royals have got careers of their own so they aren’t really being tax payer funded,” she continued. “The extent to which the Cambridges have tried to normalise the lives of their children very much points in the direction of – yes, Prince George has his destiny mapped out but Princess Charlotte and Louis’ having their own careers?’”
We are yet to witness what future holds for young Prince Louis. One thing is certain, he’s loved by the public and will always remain a crucial figure in his family.

Hurricane Helene, the deadliest mainland storm since Katrina in 2005, has claimed the lives of 200 people as rescuers continue their search for survivors. The deaths have been reported in South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.
The number of people missing is counted in hundreds, and the number of homes left without electricity is nearly a million. Unfortunately, rescue teams face challenges as many roads rendered impassable by the storm’s destruction.
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper highlighted the severity of the situation, saying that the rugged landscape has made it difficult for many communities to receive any assistance.
Among those who lost their lives is 7-year-old Micah Drye of Asheville, North Carolina. He and his grandparents were swept away by floodwaters after seeking refuge on a rooftop. The boy’s mother, Meghan, survived.
The news of Micah’s death was disclosed by his aunt, Jessica Drye Turner, who also shared the boy’s final words, “Jesus! Please help me!”
The heartbroken aunt expressed her grief and pain over the loss of her sister’s son. “New grief and strong faith. New motto.”
The boy’s lifeless body was located about a quarter mile from where his mother had been rescued.
Meghan’s other sister, Heather Kephart, started a GoFundMe page to help Meghan after the devastating loss of her son, her parents, and all her belongings, including her home.
The fundraising page included a photo of sweet Micah, taken by his grandmother mere days before the tragedy. He could be seen wearing a Jurassic World T-shirt and smiling.
This family’s huge loss is just one of many caused by the devastating storm.

A mother of a young child passed away, and it was during the service that her young son climbed her coffin for one last time. He placed his head on it for the last embrace. The sight broke the hearts of everyone who witnessed the pure emotion coming from such a young child.
At one moment, he turned to the people and asked, “Why doesn’t Mommy sleep next to me anymore?” These words felt like a sharp knife. How can one give the answer to such a hard question and explain to a child that their mom will never come back.

Eleanor’s wedding to George resembled the one from the movies. The venue, the gown, the reception… everything was perfect. The day was more than anything she had ever wished for.
She knew he was the one the moment she first laid eyes on him and it didn’t take long before he popped the question. She accepted his marriage proposal with a resounding “yes.”
Eleanor felt that George rushed the things between them, but she was convinced he did that because he was in love with her as much as she was with him.
Following the wedding, Eleanor moved in with George and his family. He, his parents, and his younger siblings lived in a huge mansion with plenty of rooms and an enormous garden filled with flowers.
Life felt good.

On the first morning in her new home, Eleanor woke up early because she wanted to prepare breakfast for the family. She entered the kitchen and asked from the maid, Tina, to help her get all the ingredients she needed. Tina, however, didn’t seem like a friendly lady. She took some eggs out of the fridge and handed them to Eleanor, telling her to hurry up with the breakfast because the family wanted it ready when they get downstairs.
Tina’s starring made Eleanor uncomfortable. It was obvious she didn’t like her, but Eleanor didn’t pay much attention because no matter what the maid thought of her, she was there to stay.
At one moment, Eleanor reached for her phone, but it wasn’t on the kitchen counter where she had put it.
When she asked Tina if she had seen it, she said she hadn’t and fled the kitchen.

Tina’s behavior was rather strange, and it became even stranger when Eleanor noticed her phone on the stool on which Tina was sitting. When she took it, she noticed a message on the screen that read, “Check your husband’s drawer. The top left one, specifically. Then RUN!“
Eleanor’s heart started pounding. Was George keeping a secret from her?
At first, she ignored Tina’s message and continued preparing the breakfast, but once the entire family was downstairs and started eating, she went back to the room and opened the drawer. Inside, there was a stack of letters. They were all written by George to someone named Elena.

It was obvious she was someone he was deeply in love with because each of the words written in them spoke volumes about his affection for that woman. What was really strange was that the last letter was sent shortly after he and Eleanor started dating. Under the stack of letters, there was an ultrasound image. Was this woman expecting George’s child?
Eleanor experienced a rollercoaster of emotions. As she was trying to collect herself, she heard Tina’s voice.
“Eleanor, I thought you deserved to know the truth,” she said in a soft voice. “Elena is my sister. She and George met two years ago, when she and I were hired to clean this house.”
Apparently, George fell for Elena the moment he met her and the two started seeing each other. He wanted to marry her and envisioned a future with her, but everything changed when he learned the child she was carrying had Down Syndrome.

From that moment on, he cut all ties with her.
Elena didn’t want anything from George, she just wanted his wife to see what kind of person he was, that’s why she asked from Tina to give the letters to Eleanor.
Devastated and utterly heartbroken, Eleanor went to the kitchen and told George’s parents about his child, asking them if they knew they had a grandson.
His parents were shocked. They had no idea George was dating someone and that the woman had given birth to a child with Down Syndrome.
They needed time to process the information because they were totally overwhelmed by the discovery and by their son’s decision to abandon Elena and his child.

Eleanor moved in with her sister the following day, and over the course of a few weeks, she was told that George’s parents disowned him.
They got in touch with Elena and met their grandchild. What’s most, they left him with no money and redirected his inheritance to support Elena and her baby. Eleanor, who divorced George, was also given assets by her former in-laws.
She sold most of them and bought herself a tiny apartment. With the rest, she started a foundation for children with Down Syndrome and put Tina in charge of it.

A woman working as a waitress at a fast food restaurant spoke of a heartwarming experience that serves as a reminder that doing good can touch the lives of those who receive it.
One day while on the job, she noticed that the lady who was seated at the restaurant had forgotten her purse. It was a Louis Vuitton one, and the waitress was certain the lady would return for it, but as that didn’t happen, she took it to lost and found.
The waitress didn’t open the purse and had no idea what was inside.
Over a month had passed and no one claimed the purse, so the restaurant’s manager asked the waitress if she wanted to have it as it was obvious she liked it.
The waitress said yes, and the moment she opened it, she was completely stunned. The purse was empty, except for a single piece of paper with a handwritten message on it which read, “To the girl who needed a new purse during the holidays.” There was even a receipt for it. It cost $1,700, more than the waitress could ever pay for an item like that.
She knew that the lady intended to brighten her day when she visited the restaurant.
The waitress carefully placed all of her belongings inside the bag, which became more than just a fashion accessory but helped her build her confidence. She had her purse on every job interview she had, and today, when she’s able to afford such a purse herself, she still keeps the Louis Vuitton that reminds her of her past days and the kindness she received; kindness that affected a positive progress that changed her life for the better.

The life of the British royals is nothing less than extravagant. With all that money and assets they own, this doesn’t come as a surprise. At the time being, the royal family receives around £86 million annually from taxpayers, a sum which is to increase to £125 million in 2015 because of the new government plan.
The sovereign grant, or the monarchy’s annual budget, is always matched against the profits from the crown estate. However, it appears that some things were not getting the much-deserved attention.
“The review of the royal funding settlement was heavily spun by the Treasury to give the impression that the king would be taking a pay cut so that crown estate funds could instead be spent on public services,” the Guardian wrote.
“In fact, the report reveals the monarchy is due to receive a huge pay increase, although the rise will not kick in for another two years.”

According to the government, this change would mean that plenty of the money will go to public services.
However, not everyone is happy this change. Graham Smith, chief executive of the anti-monarchy group Republic, now accuses the UK government of “appalling dishonesty.”
“The palace and government are guilty of appalling dishonesty, trying to spin an expected huge funding increase as a cut,” Smith told Yahoo. “How can we add tens of millions of pounds to Charles’ budget when we’re told there must be a cap on child support when schools are struggling to make ends meet?
“When nurses are fighting for a decent pay rise, Charles digs his hands deeper into our pockets,” he added. “He should hang his head in shame at this grab for money and the dishonesty of suggesting it’s a cut.”

The King and the Queen are busy planning the number of trips around the world, thus prioritizing Australia, New Zealand, and several Commonwealth realms in the Caribbean.
In October, a royal source shared with the Mirror: “The King and his family are keen to hit the ground running in these crucial first few months and years of his reign.”
“He certainly wants to carry on the long-held mantra from his late mother of being seen to be believed and is very keen to get out and meet as many people as possible.”
Having an estimated net worth of around £478 million, it’s not surprising that King Charles enjoys a life of luxury, and this isn’t only true when it comes to his plenty of homes, but when he’s travelling, too.

Some of the staff that used to work for Charles now reveal some of his demands and what every member of his household staff, his four chefs, five house managers, three valets and dressers, and two butlers, is expected to follow specific rules.
As revealed by Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell, Charles had “everything done for him…”
“His pajamas are pressed every morning, his shoelaces are pressed flat with an iron, the bath plug has to be in a certain position, and the water temperature has to be just tepid,” Burrell said, adding that the now-king even “has his valets squeeze one inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush every morning.”
In the documentary Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm, Burrell added that the King wants his bathtub “only half full” and is precise about his bathing temperatures.

The most outrageous claim about King Charles’ travelling routine was made by author and royal expert Tina Brown, who spoke to 120 insiders and sources, and revealed in her book The Palace Papers that Charles allegedly sends a large van of his possessions to friends’ country houses the day before his arrival, where they unload his “bed, furniture and even pictures.”
It included his orthopedic bed, Kleenex Velvet lavatory paper – and even a toilet seat.
This isn’t the first time that someone spoke about this claim. In the past, Tom Bower wrote in his book Prince Charles, Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion, and Defiance of Prince Charles that Charles indeed does this.

The King and the Queen didn’t comment anything regarding bringing their bed when visiting other places, but the claim about the toilet seat made them angry and they decided to address it.
In an interview with an Australian radio station in 2018, Charles said, “My own what? Oh, don’t believe all that c***.”
Camilla responded in a similar manner.
“So he doesn’t carry his own toilet seat when he travels?”
“Don’t you believe that!” Charles replied.
According to royal experts, the King needs to be worried about other, more significant issues the monarchy is facing.
“The Royal family as we know it is on the brink of collapse and risks abolishing itself by stealth if the King doesn’t take steps to boost visits that have fallen radically over the last decade,” the Civitas report’s author, Frank Young, said, as quoted in the Express.
“Through death, scandal, and resignation, the Royal family is increasingly reliant on a few hard-working members, with Charles, Anne, and Edward doing almost half the work…. We now need new working royals or will have to accept a Royal Family that is more distant from the people than at any time in the past 100 years.”

As Charles is interested in the ides of ‘slimmed down’ monarchy, he needs to be aware that the number of working royals is too low and he has been urged to appoint more “working royals” who can meet people across the country.
“The King’s ambition might be misplaced and potentially misjudges the true public mood,” he said, Young said, as quoted by Express, suggesting that Princess Beatrice, as well as Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, should become full-time working royals.
“More people want the monarchy to remain unchanged than reflect changes in British life,” he concluded.
