Ice skating siblings show stunning routine while ice dancing on Metallica

Ice skating has always been a pleasure to watch for me. Looking at the skaters dance to the rhythm in perfect sync and showing mesmerizing choreographic movements shows just what the human body is capable of.

Now, as we are usually seeing these routines on TV or at competitions, this time, a brother and a sister danced in the middle of New York. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic and all the restrictions imposed on us by the governments in hopes of preventing the virus from spreading further, ice skaters Oona and Gage Brown danced with no one watching. Well, maybe the few passersby who found themselves in the right place at the right time to witness something this beautiful.

What makes the choreography even more special is the choice of music. The Browns opted for Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters.

Holding hands and making spins and circles, these two siblings showed the millions who have watched their video just how talented they are. In fact, their dance has been seen by over 5.5 million people in just a couple of days.

For those of you who haven’t heard of the Browns before, they are Team USA Ice Dancers, and they are incredibly good.

Chimp gives Jane Goodall emotional goodbye before release

Blessed are those who learn how to live in harmony with the nature and all its living beings. Maybe if we all follow into the footsteps of one of the greatest naturalist of our time, scientist Jane Goodall, this world will indeed become a more peaceful and much better place. 

The video below captures one of the most touching moments between a human and an animal. And although the footage is taken 6 years ago, it never ceases to bring warmth in the hearts of those who watch Wounda the chimp’s final goodbye before she takes her first step to her new life into the wide wild.  

Jane is an advocate for our four-legged friends and has dedicated her whole life making sure they get the life they truly deserve. 

Her life mission of providing care for those in need became crucial in the process of animals’ recovery. At her rehabilitation center placed in Congo, many sick chimps are medically treated and given a new lease on life. 

When the staff first met Wounda, she was frail and ill and it was obvious she wouldn’t be able to survive in the wild. However, they were determined to treat her so they relocated her to Tchindzoulou Island which is one of the three islands that are part of the expanded sanctuary. 

Wounda wasn’t only given medical care, but lots of love, kindness, and affection too. 

This all resulted in the chimp getting better and better with every single day. She regained her strength and was healthy once again. After all the time spent at the sanctuary, she was now ready to get back to her natural habitat. 

This moment was a moment of mixed emotions for both Jane and Wounda. They got used to each other’s company, and although they were happy for Wounda, they knew they’ll miss each other beyond words. 

Jane takes the time to thank all of the staff members for being there not only for Wounda but for the rest of the chimpanzees that live in the rehabilitation center.

It is amazing how animals are able to show their emotions and express their gratitude to those who never left their side when they needed it the most. 

One person writes, “Thanks for all your dedication, Mrs Goodall the world needs to know more about you and your efforts to protect and save this wonderful primates.This video moved me to tears.” 

Now watch as the gate of the cage opens for one last time. This is so very emotional. 

Daughter films moment mom with dementia remembers her

Dementia can be a devastating diagnosis for both the person suffering from it and their family. Imagine spending your whole life with someone, sharing together your most beautiful memories, and then all of a sudden they don’t know who you are and how much they mean to you. Unfortunately, this disease steals from a person their most valuable recollections and affects their thinking, behavior, reasoning, and the ability to perform everyday activities. MJ Grant is a young woman whose mom and dad are both deaf. This means the only way she can communicate with them is using sign language that MJ mastered. She now works as a sign language interpreter and loves spending time with her mother who is sadly suffering from a severe case of dementia. Although Carmen’s condition is getting worse over time, MJ never stops reminding her loving mother how much she loves her, even when she doesn’t recognize her. One winter day, these mother and daughter were spending a day at the beach when MJ’s camera took the sweetest moment that is now going viral and stealing the hearts of many. The two were having a conversation (in a sign language) about some friends they have in common, when Carmen asked MJ who her mother was. It’s pretty awesome how gently MJ handles these situations when her mother is totally confused about the world around her. This loving daughter never gets tired of carefully guiding her mother to the correct answers. It wasn’t any different this time either. Once Carmen is encouraged to recall who MJ’s mother is, she is left with tears in her eyes realizing it’s her who gave birth to this awesome young lady. This brings so much joy in both of them, and they share a unique moment until Carmen goes back into the foggy recess of this cruel disease. However, those moments the two have together are enough for MJ to remind her mother of the happy times they shared and help her catch glimpses of her life.
“Dementia can be beautiful,” MJ wrote when she uploaded the video to Facebook. “Yesterday I took my mother for a ride to the beach. Taking her out of her element (my home, where she lives) can be confusing for her. Within the confusion there can be such beauty and sweet little surprises. I simply adore her.”
“People often forget the wisdom and beauty that people who are aging bring to this world. When we slow down long enough to take the time to spend with them it not only fills their heart, it can cause ours to overflow with love.”
MJ, thank you for sharing this unique experience with the rest of us. The way you treat your mother should be an example every daughter out there should follow.

The best definition of a politician I’ve ever heard

George Bernard Shaw once said: “He knows nothing and he thinks he knows everything. That points clearly to a political career” and we sort of agree that most politicians are such people. However, this elderly man has the right definition of what a person involved in politics really is and it’s hilarious. While stitching a cut on the hand of a 75-year-old farmer, whose hand was caught in the squeeze gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to politicians and their role as our leaders. The old farmer said, “Well, as I see it, most politicians are ‘Post Turtles’.” Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post turtle’ was. The old farmer said, “When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a post turtle.” The old farmer saw the puzzled look on the doctor’s face so he continued to explain. “You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn’t know what to do while he’s up there, he’s elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just wonder what kind of fool put him up there to begin with.”

Elderly woman is determined to pay for her roof repairs but contractor tricks her into paying nothing

Fixing things around the house can cost us a lot, and when it comes to big repairs such as damaged roof we even have to spend a little fortune. 

One 70-year-old woman named Jeanette MacDonald found herself in such trouble and feared the contractors could rip her off as everyone knows how they charge lots of money. 

However, no matter how much she had to spend, the roof just needed to be taken care of as MacDonald lived with her grandsons and she feared for their safety. 

She found a roofing company that started with the process of repairment, but that didn’t last long as the contractors left the job halfway true once they came across a better paid offer and still charged MacDonald for the unfinished work. 

She tried hiring another company but she didn’t have enough money so she applied for a government grant that would help her cover the costs.  But time was passing by and she didn’t get an answer. 

During that time, one of her neighbors who was a roofer, Jeremy Locke, would always look at MacDonald’s roof whenever he was driving or passing by her house and always felt bad for her as he assumed she either couldn’t afford to pay for the repair or she couldn’t find the right people for the job. 

Months passed by and MacDonald’s roof was still greatly damaged and Locke just couldn’t allow for that to go any longer so he decided to step in and offer help. 

He believed his elderly neighbor would be thrilled by his offer and was left confused when she said she couldn’t accept for him to take care of the roof free of charge. 

Locke went to work that day but couldn’t stop thinking of MacDonald’s roof. He just knew she was way too proud to accept his offer so he had to come up with a way to help her fix the problem without making her feel bad about it. 

Once you hear what Locke did next will leave you speechless. This generous man came up with a brilliant plan. 

He showed at MacDonald’s doorstep one day and told her how he was organizing a raffle asking her to get herself a ticket and wait to see whether she would win a prize. Little did this woman know that she was the only participant in Locke’s “game.”

A couple of days latter, Locke told MacDonald how she was the winner of his raffle and started working on her roof which was completely repaired in just a few days time. The lady was over the moon. 

As no good deed goes unnoticed, Locke’s was also spread around the neighborhood very quickly. Some of his friends who knew how he “tricked” MacDonald thought the story was a great one so they shared it with other friends, and eventually, MacDonald learned about it but she wasn’t mad, on the contrary, she was thankful beyond words. 

This roofer really is a very special young man. Because of people like him this world is a better place.

We should all look up to the way he offered a helping hand to someone in need. 

If it wasn’t for him, MacDonald should pay more than $9,000 for her new roof and this way, she got it for free.

4 older gentlemen lift spirits of passengers on delayed flight

Waiting long hours for a connecting flight, or a delayed one, can be frustrating and tiresome. But, with the right company, it can be fun as well. Flight attendant Kari Mann was talking to passengers after the plane was delayed on the tarmac for maintenance and realized they had a barbershop quartet on board, and since music can lighten the mood in any situation she asked them to sing something. “I asked them to sing and most of the passengers began video taping! It was such a great moment…The mood changed and our passengers were awesome for the whole 5 hours they were on the plane! One of my favorite moments!!! Christina Applegate embraces natural no make-up looks and we say she’s stunning

The celebs! No matter how much we love them and admire their beauty and their life style, all those stunning photos of them in which they look flawless do make some of us feel bad about ourselves. The truth is that the famous people are just ordinary people like you and I, with the difference that they have a bunch of stylists and make-up artists around them.

Well, recently, most of the Hollywood divas tend to embrace the natural beauty thus post photos of themselves with no make-up on. Stunning Christina Applegate is one of them.

She was born in the heart of the city which is the center of the film industry, and with her dad being a record producer and record company executive and her mom being an actress, it looks like it was written in the stars for Christina to become one herself.

She had her first TV appearance when she was just a year old. Along with her mom, she appeared in the soap opera Days of Our Lives. As years went by, Christina’s career took off and she became one of the most famous names in the industry.

Among the rest, she starred in Grace Kelly and Married … with Children. The latter was her big breakthrough after which she moved on to a number of other projects.

It has been said that she auditioned for the iconic role of Rose in Titanic but lost to Kate Winslet.

One of her most recent roles is the one in Dead to Me, series which aired in 2019 and is still on.

When it comes to her private life, what we know of this beautiful actress is that she is married to Dutch musician Martyn LeNoble and the two have a daughter together, Sadie Grace, who was born in 2011. Christina was married to actor Jonathon Schaech from 2001 to 2005 but divorced due to irreconcilable differences.

Not many know, but Christina is a breast cancer survivor. In 2008, she had a double mastectomy and managed to beat the horrible disease.

Today, she’s enjoying her life to the fullest and isn’t afraid to show her natural looks. Among the fancy photos of galas and events, Christina often posts photos with no make-up and we say she looks stunning.

Man returns to adopt the puppy he rescued – The sweet soul couldn’t be happier

Joey Wagner is the man we should all look up to when it comes to treating animals the way they deserve. This kind individual came across a dying pup that was in the worst state imaginable. He was completely hairless because he had severe skin infection and was in need of urgent medical care.

Although many people stumbled upon this poor little dog, it was Wagner who bothered enough to stop and lend a helping hand. He was quick to rush the dog whom they named Mojo to the nearest animal hospital. There, Wagner was told how Mojo’s chances of survival were slim, but he never lost hope that things could turn for the better for his rescue pal.

Despite everyone thinking Mojo wouldn’t live more than several hours, the staff at the hospital proved miracles do happen.

Mojo’s story spread around and many people were interested to adopt him.

But before answering to any of the numerous application forms they received, the hospital had something else in mind. They contacted Wagner, who stayed in touch with them through the whole process of Mojo’s recovery, and asked him whether he would like to be not only this special creature’s savior, but a forever daddy too? Needless to say, Wagner was flattered by the offer and gave a resounding yes.

The reunion between Wagner and Mojo is cute beyond words. We aren’t ashamed to say we shed a couple of tears of joy. 

Mojo is now three years old and leads the life many dogs dream of. He has a best furry pal and enjoys his days knowing he’s loved.

The way Mojo entered his human daddy’s life is incredible. We hope more people would do what Wagner did for animals in need.
