14-year-old girl committed suicide, so father invites bullies to the funeral

The sweet face of then 6-year-old Amy “Dolly” Everett became the symbol of the unspoiled wilderness of the country when the Akubra Hats offered her a modeling contract and featured her photos.

But sadly, with the fame came something neither Dolly, nor her parents ever imagined. The sweet girl became target of bullies who made her life a living hell. As a result of the pressure she felt, Dolly committed suicide at the age of 14.

Dolly started receiving insults of young boys who called her a “slut.” Her mom, Kate, said how she didn’t even know whether those boys knew the meaning of that word they used to describe her daughter. She said, “I used to tell her: ‘It will get better, you’ll fit in. Everybody’s trying to fit in and they’re just working out their pecking order. Try not to be mean’.”

Her parents recall how Dolly changed completely. From a girl with a vibrant personality, she turned into a nervy teen who didn’t want to attend school any longer.

As Dolly grew up on a farm, she knew what it felt like to be isolated. However, the bullying she experienced only worsened the situation and intensified the feeling of loneliness.

Dolly’s father, Tick Everett, felt the need to share his loving daughter’s story by writing an emotional message on Facebook. He spoke of his girl’s life and invited the bullies to the service so they could witness the complete devastation they had created.

He asked everyone to join in the fight against bullying as it is something that results in lives being destroyed forever.

The parents describe the night of their daughter’s suicide, January 3, 2018, as the “longest night” of their lives. They were holding the girl’s lifeless body in their hands for hours before the ambulance arrived at the far farm where they live.

“This week has been an example of how social media should be used, it has also been an example of how it shouldn’t be. If we can help other precious lives from being lost and the suffering of so many, then Doll’s life will not be wasted,” he wrote.

The family also added a painting done by Dolly. It was one of a skinny girl bent backwards with a message that read: “Talk, even if your voice shakes.”

Akruba Hats released a statement where they expressed their disbelief and shock by the news of Dolly’s tragic death. They started a campaign to help spread awareness regarding bullying.

The Everetts on the other hand started a foundation in Dolly’s name called Dolly’s Dream. This foundation supports charities and contributes to positive changes.

It’s amazing how Dolly’s family showed so much strength during the darkest period of their lives.

They were willing to share their daughter’s story in order to prevent other young children to become victims of bullying.

Even if you don’t consider yourself much of a country fan, just hearing the name of the greatest country star ever, Dolly Parton, you are very likely to start singing the lyrics ‘Jolene, Jolene.’

This time, ‘Jolene’ was perfectly reshaped by Dolly herself and the a cappella group Pentatonix! Although giving new twist to such a famous song is always a risk, they did an outstanding job and stole the hearts of millions of people worldwide.

The unique remake resulted in a captivating version as great as that of the original that was released back in 1973.

Pentatonix have expressed their love for Dolly in the past, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that they put their hearts and soul into this rendition.

It certainly sounds unlike anything you’ve heard so far.

Judges are left stunned after thinking “this is gonna be an awful audition”

When they first took the stage of Britain’s Got Talent back in 2014, it didn’t look like the boy’s group Collabo would offer something worth all the yeses from the strict judges among which Simon Cowell who is known for creating One Direction.

What’s most, when he saw the group of boys lining up for their performance, he rolled his eyes and expected for something boring to take place.

“Do you know what? When the five of you came out, I thought, ‘Here we go again, another boy band. This is gonna be awful.’”

Simon even lost all the hopes of the boys ever wowing him or the rest of his colleagues when he learned the members of the group had been singing together for a month only. Above all, none of them was in fact a musician. They were laborers, hospital workers, and gas station attendants.

Judge Amanda Holden didn’t expect anything spectacular either as she buried her face in her hands.

But, the judges were there to listen and give their feedback on the performance that was about to unfold in front of their eyes.

To everyone’s surprise, what the boy’s band had to offer stunned everyone. Even now, their singing of the Broadway’s hit “Stars” from Les Misérables is considered to be one of the best ever.

Not only their vocals blended in a perfect harmony, but they all got to perform a solo in order to show off their incredible singing skills.

The judges and the audience couldn’t contain their excitement. The band got standing ovations and had everyone on their feet. Enchanting singing, indeed.

“You’ve reduced me to tears,” said Holden. “I just could burst with pride for you. That was bloody brilliant.”

After saying he didn’t have high hopes, Simon gave the boys a compliment.

“… it was an absolutely brilliant audition,” the normally cranky judge admitted.

The group members couldn’t believe their performance would trigger such emotions at those who got to listen to them singing. They were overwhelmed and shed tears of joy.

“You’ve achieved that in a month — that’s astonishing,” said judge Alesha Dixon. “That is definitely by far one of the strongest auditions I’ve ever seen.”

On their way off the stage, the song “I Dreamed a Dream” could be heard in the background. And like the performer of that piece of music from Les Misérables, Susan Biyle, Collabo won the competition.

Collabo are now considered World’s number one Musical Theatre Group that has released 4 albums and tours all over the world.

Michael Auger, Jamie Lambert, Matthew Pagan, Thomas J. Redgrave, and Richard Hadfield (who has now left the band) are now renowned musicians who are stealing the hearts of fans everywhere they go.

Toddler Has Major Vision Issues, Then Gets Special Glasses

Christian is a toddler who will remind you to love yourself the way you are. His reaction of getting special glasses that would help him better see everything that surrounds him will make your day and melt your heart.

Witnessing stories like that of sweet baby Christian we understand how truly blessed we are having been given all those abilities that we take for granted, such as seeing and hearing.

Thankfully, the medicine is a field that shows enormous progress regarding the treatment of number of illnesses and conditions among which severe visual impairments, something Christian struggles with.

When Christian was born, he resembled a perfectly healthy child and it wasn’t until he turned three moths old that his parents realized his vision wasn’t perfect.

He had difficulties making eye contact, something babies are capable of doing once reaching three months old. So, after consulting with an eye specialist, it was determined Christian was born with a major visual impairment as his vision didn’t develop properly while in his mommy’s womb.

Luckily, it wasn’t something that couldn’t be fixed with a pair of fine baby glasses. Unlike those we wear, Christian’s were made of soft plastic so they won’t cause him any inconvenience. But, despite that fact, trying them on wasn’t easy as he refused anything to be put on his face. Well, nothing uncommon for babies and toddlers, right?

However, the moment he realized what that strange thing in his mommy’s hands could do, his crying and refusal were replaced with the sweetest smile ever.

Getting puzzled, but pleased at the same time, Christian could finally clearly see how his parents looked like. And as every object around him came into focus, he couldn’t take that sweet smile off his tiny face.

“Hi munchkin!” was the first thing his mommy said as he was looking all around the place.

This has to be the best feeling ever, don’t you think so?

His parents couldn’t contain their happiness either as they both started shedding tears of joy. Knowing their little one could now see was the best thing they’ve ever experienced.

As his dad asked him, “Hi, you like them, huh?” it looked like Christian nodded his head in approval, although he had no idea what his daddy was saying.

After Christian’s initial reaction of seeing clearly for the first time ever, his mom and dad couldn’t wait to see how he would react seeing the outdoors, the flowers, the threes, and all the beauties this world has to offer.

Mom gets distracted, her son knocks down sculpture causing $100,000 of damage

We all know that little children and expensive things don’t really go together. No matter how well-behaved the little ones are, it’s in their nature to be curious and explore things that surround them. Above all, they have no idea now cheap or pricey the items they stumble upon might be.

This is the reason why parents should keep a close eye on their kids at all times and make sure they don’t get into trouble.

You have probably heard a bunch of moms and dads telling their children not to touch things while at the supermarket or other shops, or maybe you are a parent yourself and know all too well how many times you’ve spoken the sentences, “Don’t touch that!”

Because if the kids do get into trouble or break things, it’s always on the parents.

A mother named Amanda Goodman experienced a nightmare only because she let her little boy out of sight for a couple of minutes.

Yes, unfortunately, sometimes it takes so little time for a trouble to happen.

Namely, Goodman and her son were attending a wedding celebration and five-year-old Troy behaved most of the time. His mom even considered getting him a present for being such a good boy.

As the wedding was over, the family was about to head home, but before that, Goodman approached the bride and the groom to thank them for the lovely celebration and for inviting her.

During that time, she left Troy at the venue’s hall not expecting from him to wander around the place as he was already too tired from all the dancing.

Unfortunately, she though wrong, and at one moment, a sudden and loud noise of something braking disturbed everyone at the place.

Along with the noise, someone could be heard repetitively asking, “Where is your mother?”

While waiting for his mom, Troy got curios over one glass sculpture and decided to get closer and hug it.

Unfortunately, it was way too big and heavy and in one moment he dropped it on the floor, crushing it into pieces.

Goodman rushed in. At the time she was more concerned about Troy, as he had scraped himself. But one of the staff members also rushed over and stared down in horror. He couldn’t believe what the child had done.

Seeing her son scrapping himself, Goodman didn’t even think of the statue, she just wanted to make sure Troy was fine.

But then, a staff member rushed to them and said something that left Goodman in complete disbelief. He said, “Mam, we expect you to pay for that. And that sculpture cost us $132,000.

Goodman did expect for them to ask from her to pay for what was broken, but she said how she didn’t think it was worth more than $1,000.

She tried to explain to the man how she was paying a close eye on her son the entire time, and only left him alone for a minute or so, but the man didn’t really care. He did call the venue’s insurance, but they only confirmed they weren’t liable for the boy’s action.

Goodman simply couldn’t accept to pay that huge amount of money.

She said how the venue had a guilt in the who incident too as they placed such expensive sculpture in such an easily accessible place.

“It’s in the main walkway, not a separate room, not plexiglass, not protected, not held down.” she said

After contacting her local government about the incident her kid got involved into, they said that no matter how unfortunate it was, the boy simply shouldn’t have touched the item.

Now, the family may have to pay the whole amount of money, all because Goodman was careless and distracted and left Troy all by himself, even though it was for just a couple of minutes.

This is a lesson all parents and kids should learn from.

6-Year-Old Diagnosed With Cancer Thrilled About Her Dream Holiday Is Left Heartbroken After Stranger Scams Family Of Their Money

Life is often unpredictable, and no matter how hard we try to get things right at all times, there come obstacles and challenges such as deadly diseases that we can’t prevent.

Little Skye, a cancer-stricken girl had gone through so much in her life. All the treatments and the hospital stays drained her energy so her family thought it would be awesome if they take her to the vacation she dreamed of. Unfortunately, they stumbled upon a conman who took all their money and took advantage of them. So, the so much anticipated holiday never took place.

The stranger who offered to organize their vacation claimed he was the owner of two static caravans at a holiday park in Butlin. The family didn’t hesitate before transferring the money as they were looking forward to the trip.

When they learned they were scammed, they felt terrible because it meant little Skye wouldn’t get what she was hoping for.

“How much bad luck can one family have? When I realized we had been scammed, I was absolutely distraught,” said Ruth, mum-of-three.

After they filed a case against the scammer, he claimed he was a victim himself, as he said he didn’t take any of the money that the family transferred to him. A spokesperson for the City of London Police said, “The case is currently being assessed by the City of London Police’s National Fraud Intelligence Bureau,” and the investigation is still on.

The six-year-old girl was diagnosed with a fist-sized tumor in her brain after she woke up with her eyes crossed one morning. Doctors say it was caused by the treatments she was undertaking for another form of cancer she previously suffered from.

Learning of the devastating news, Skye’s family decided it would be for the best if she continued with her treatments. So, after she underwent several rounds of chemo in the UK, she was transferred to Florida for a proton beam therapy.

The trip was about to take place after the treatments were over and Skye’s health condition improved significantly.

The family paid the scammer £1,700 after which they didn’t hear of him again. He ignored their calls and they realized they had been lied to.

“Skye is absolutely gutted too. I think it is absolutely disgusting, it’s the fact that he has done it to a little girl who has been fighting cancer. You see it happening to other people, you don’t expect it to happen to you,” said Ruth to Mirror Online.

Until they are waiting for the outcome of the lawsuits, Skye’s family started a fundraiser in hopes of getting the money for their little daughter’s holiday.

Baby abandoned in front of an apartment complex- Note explains father is a dangerous person

Only God knows what ordeal a mother has to go through in order to make a decision to abandon her half-a-day old baby.

Unfortunately, many are forced to give up their bundles of joy in the hands of other families and even random strangers.

On July 20th, 2019, a mother left her newborn baby in front of an apartment complex in Orlando, Florida.

The sweet baby was only wrapped in a shirt and had a note next to him.

A mother and her son were having lunch inside one of the apartments when they heard the cries. At first, they believed it was one their neighbor’s babies who was making the noise, but once they realized it didn’t stop for a longer period of time, the two got out in order to see what was really going on.

What they definitely didn’t expect to see was a newborn placed right there, in front of their doorstep.

The woman spotted the note and took it in her hands. What she had to read broke her heart. It said: “I had him in the bathroom. His dad tried to kill us. Please keep him secret and take him to hospital. Dad a very dangerous man. I’m so sorry, I tried to clean him and feed him as much as I”

The woman knew the first thing she had to do was take the baby to the nearest hospital.

Luckily, the doctors told her it was a perfectly healthy infant. Now, she had to figure out what to do with him and where to take him so she contacted the authorities. The sweet newborn is currently taken care of and hopefully, he would end up with the perfect family that would adopt him and give him all the love he deserves.

This is, however, not the first time for a newborn baby to be abandoned at this place. Back in 2017, a mother left her baby and vanished. It was later said how the sweet soul was adopted and was given a new chance for a better life.

The state of Florida has a law that allows parents to safely place their one week old babies at the hands of firefighters or hospital staff along with a sign that reads “A Safe Heaven for Newborns.”

This policy allows for the parents to stay anonymous and the staff only takes in the baby, no questions asked.

Although all the 50 states have this policy, the age limit for the babies who can be taken in under the sign of “A Safe Heaven for Newborns” is different. Whereas 11 states and Puerto Rico set the limit to three days old babies and younger, the rest of the states would take the babies who are a month old.

Owner Acts Fast and Saves Pit Bull From Sneaky Thief, Films and Posts It For Everyone to See

Having a dog is a real blessing. These creatures truly are one of a kind and getting to spend the days around them means being showered with the purest form of love.

Now imagine someone trying to get your dog from you. Such situation would make any dog owner angry, and sadly, that was the case with a man from Port Elizabeth who managed to catch his pit bull’s thief red-handed.

The incident was caught on camera and it now serves as a warning for other dog owners, especially those who have pit bulls as pets, to be extra cautious and keep closer eye on their four-legged friends.

It was reported by News24 how it was very likely that the dognapper inspected this particular pit bull before he tried stealing it by grabbing the poor dog by the collar. Luckily, the owner noticed the thief just in time to stop him from stealing the dog.

The owner later said how it wasn’t the first time that this man tried getting his pit bull. Before this incident took place, the thief claimed the dog was actually his, but when the owner asked him to prove it, he just ran away.

Volunteer and rescuer Marizanne Ferreira believes thieves are after pit bulls because they use them in dog-fights. Ferreira urges dog owners to micro-chip their dogs and not leave them unattended in order to prevent the animals from ending up in the hands of the dog-nappers.
