Farmer Diagnosed With Stage 4 Cancer Is Too Ill to Harvest Crops–So an Army of 18-Wheelers Steps In

An act of kindness by the friendly neighbors of one farmer got the attention of millions. When Larry Yockey from Ritzville, Washington was diagnosed with stage IV cancer, he was devastated. It meant he wouldn’t be able to harvest his crops that year as he had to focus on the treatments that would hopefully make him feel better.

His 1,200-acre farm requested a lot of time and energy to be harvested and Yockey didn’t have any of it.

However, when his neighbors learned of the sad news, they came up with this brilliant idea of stepping in and having his work done instead of him.

Speaking to KREM Channel 2, Yockey said, “The cancer has spread to my bones, so I have a broken hip and ribs.”

At first, he didn’t want to admit that he couldn’t do the harvesting all by himself, but eventually, he told all his friends of the severity of his health condition.

“I didn’t know whether I was going to be able to harvest like I did in years past,” Yockey said. “I finally had to tell them, ‘No.’”

Around 60 farmers from the region of rural Washington got together and made a plan on how to get the work done. Believe it or not, the whole field was harvested in just a matter of six hours. They used dozens of 18-wheelers and wheat combines. Mike Doyle, one of Yockey neighbors said how everyone involved was looking forward to be part of the work.

Yockey was amazed by what his friends did for him. It truly warmed his heart and made his day.

“It’s just awe-inspiring to see how fast these fields are evaporating now,” he said. “Just gratitude. It’s not describable the gratitude I have for what’s going on.”

The story vent viral and people from all over the country praised the kind people who stepped in for their friend in need. Three weeks worth of work was done in just a few hours and it left everyone in awe.

If only there are more people like these neighbors, the world will definitely be a much better place as life is all about helping and caring for one another.

Irish school assigns students acts of kindness instead of homework

Leaning a bunch of things by heart or learning how to be a better person than you were yesterday? What is more important?

Well, a school from Ireland opted for the letter and now everyone is speaking of their brilliant idea to ditch homework for a whole month and assign their students acts of kindness instead.

As the holidays are the time of giving and doing good, the Gaelscoil Mhíchíl Uí Choileáin, Clonakilty elementary school in Ireland are changing the curriculum and make their students show their kindness to those that need it the most.

The acts are expected to spread positivity and happiness around the community. Mondays are all about spending some quality time with the elderly members of the city. This is supposed to teach the kids compassion. They will also learn many new things and will hear fun stories.

Needless to say, the elderly enjoy the company of the little ones and feel important.

Every Tuesday of December is dedicated to helping around the house. The students can choose what to help with without their parents having to ask that from them. It can be simple chores like doing the laundry, getting the trash out, or cleaning.

On Wednesdays, students can choose their own act of kindness and help a random person or people.

As we all know that in order to help others we should first help ourselves, on Thursdays students are asked to take care for themselves.

On Fridays, students drop notes in the bucket of kindness placed in the school. Afterwards, some of those notes are read out loud. The goal is to make everyone feel better about themselves.

Every child is keeping a kindness diary where they write down the nice acts they do during the week.

“In this world, consumed by social media, where our young people are constantly experiencing pressure, there is no better way to show them the way forward in the world than by practicing kindness. We all know that helping others makes us feel good about ourselves…. What’s not to love about that?!? That feel good factor we experience form helping others cannot be quantified. Our message to the children is very simple: they can be the reason somebody smiles today and they can definitely help make this world a better place for others and for themselves.” The school noted on Facebook.

We really love this awesome idea and we hope more schools will follow this example.

Disabled 4-year-old Boy Left With Severe Facial Injuries While At Daycare

Our hearts breaks into a million pieces whenever we come across stories of children getting injured while at school or kindergarten.

When we leave them there, we expect from their teachers and caretakers to pay close attention to their every move, especially when very young children are in question.

A mom from New Zealand, Milly Tusa, shared on the social media disturbing photos of her 4-year-old disabled son who sustained severe injuries while at the kindergarten. What’s most, his teachers didn’t think the incident was serious enough to alert the parents after it took place.

Sweet Masua Tusa who has cerebral palsy and experiences speech problems was terrified by the fall from the stairs while in his wheelchair.

“Is this what you would want to expect when picking up your child from kindergarten, leaving your child in the hands of the people you believe they will look after them?”

According to his mom, Manua’s injuries included “deep grazes where large patches of skin have been scraped from his nose, forehead and cheek.”

As for now, the work of the Manurewa West Kindergarten where Manua went is being investigated by the police and the Ministry of Education.

Speaking of the day of the incident Ms Tusa told Checkpoint that “she only heard her son was injured when she went to collect him as usual and was told by staff he’d tumbled down some stairs while strapped in his wheelchair.”

The parents were left outraged because none of the teachers took the time to call them and tell them about the fall right after it happened. They learned of it when they went to collect their son.

According to the staff at the kindergarten, the boy didn’t seem to be injured a great deal so they didn’t want to make a big thing out of it which made his parents even more angry.

“It was skin burns, raw burns on his face from the top of his eyelid down. He had scratches on the top of his lips and he had scratches on his nose.”

Manua refuses to speak of the incident because he’s way too scared.

“I’ve asked him a couple of times (about the incident) and all he says is ‘mummy, naughty teacher, mummy, naughty teacher’.”

His mom also said how he’s not coming back to the kindergarten again and is demanding answers.

Ballroom Dance Group Performs Stunning Dance Medley To 90’s Musical Hits

This ballroom dance routine by the DUET Perm from Russia has to be one of the most mesmerizing you’ve ever seen.

The precision, the stunning choreography, and the undeniable energy brought to the dance floor left millions in awe.

Unlike anything we’ve stumbled upon so far, this group offered something truly unique starting from the choice of music. They opted for some of the greatest hits of the 90s and opened the show with Vanilla Ice’s “Ice, Ice, Baby,” danced through MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This” and Madonna’s “La Isla Bonita” and ended the show with Fun’s “We Are Young.”

The crowd couldn’t contain their excitement as the dance group seemed to fly over the dance floor in perfect harmony and showed impressive moves of samba, tango, waltz, jive and rumba. That is why many viewers were left disappointed because these dancers didn’t end up winning the competition.

This performance is definitely something you don’t want to miss. If it cheers you up, share it with your friends. Enjoy!

Boy with Down syndrome comforts classmate with autism in loving video that has gone viral

Kids are innocent and caring, and it looks like that as we grow older, we somehow lose these valuable traits. But the little ones remind us that we should always be there for those in need of a helping hand and words of consolations.

A video of a boy with Down Syndrome comforting his friend with autism has melted the hearts of millions of people who got to see it. It quickly spread all over the social media and many say how we should all look up to these caring friends.

One of the boys was crying uncontrollably, and the other one approached closer and offered his hug. He also wiped his friend’s tears away. The teacher who witnessed this heartwarming scene captured it and shared it with the rest of the world.

It looks like the healing power of the boy’s hug did magic as the autistic boy calmed down in a matter of minutes.

If only all of us were so compassionate this world would be a much better place, with less tears and more smiling faces.

Police asks the public to help them identify women accused of stealing 75-year-old’s wallet

Police in St. Petersburg, Florida released a photo of two women leaving Target after they stole the wallet of a 75-year-old lady. Based on their facial expressions and the huge smiles on their faces, the two thieves don’t seem to feel any regret because of their insidious act that outraged many.

British family with 21 kids announces they are expecting baby number 22

Big families are a blessing, and the Radfords from Morecambe, Lancashire, know what it feels like to be part of one better than anyone else.

Believe it or not, over the 30 years that the two are together, Sue 44, and Noel 46, have 21 children, and baby 22 is on the way.

The number is overwhelming and most of you are probably wondering how they manage to raise and take care of so many kids, but the reality is that the family functions just perfectly.

The British Duggars have their own YouTube channel with more than 100k subscribers who follow their everyday life. It was there where they announced the news of baby 22 and many followers were truly surprised as the couple said how they were done having more children after baby 21 was born.

The family is running their famous pie company for 15 years and everyone is helping in the business.

When Sue was pregnant with their 9th child, they thought it was enough children and Noel even had a vasectomy, but shortly after, they changed their minds and next year the family is getting even bigger.

Three of their kids don’t live at home any longer as they have families of their own, so Sue and Noel are also grandparents to four grandchildren.

You already assume that the holidays in the house are busy and marry and involve a lot of presents under the tree.

The family lives in a 10-bedroom house and there’s plenty of space for everyone. There’s also a huge garden where the kids get to run around and have fun.

But, a huge family and a huge house means huge bills too. The family said how the average amount of money they spend on food and meals out each week is around $650.

But no matter the expenses, the Radfords always manage to save up for a nice family holiday. Mom Sue says that getting ready for such trips resembles a “military operation” but she still gets to fit everything in only seven suitcases. Just imagine that the laundry they produce every week is 39 pounds. A lot, don’t you think so?

As everyone loves this family, some people can’t get over the fact that when Sue and Noel had their first baby, she was just 13 years old, and he was 18.

Maybe it wasn’t such an issue back then, but thinking about it makes many of us feel awkward and a bit grossed to be honest.

The video of the pregnancy announcement is reaching one million views. You can take a look at it below.

Mom picks her 6-month-old daughter up at daycare to find her all covered in bites and bruises

Kindergartens and daycare centers should be the safest places for the little children, but sadly that’s not always the case. Stories of babies and toddlers left unattended is something we hear of way more often that we should.

The heartbreaking story of 6-month-old Zuri Rose Camara spread around like a wildfire after the owner of the daycare where she got injured refused to take responsibility of the incident.

That day seemed to be like any other as Zuri’s mom Anari Ormond dropped the baby at the J&A Nursery in Newark, New York. However, a couple of hours later Ormond got a call from the daycare center’s owner asking from her to come as soon as she could.

Ormond panicked as she had no idea what to expect. When she arrived at the center, the owner told her how Zuri was hurt because she was left “unattended around a 2-year-old boy.”

“She said in that time period of being unattended the boy ‘bit Zuri 3 times in the stomach,’” Ormond said.

Ormond didn’t want to listen to the bunch of excuses given by the owner and rushed inside to take Zuri.

“[The owner] began a story saying she went upstairs to get Neosporin and fell down the steps while holding my daughter and she was severely bruised,” the frustrated mother reported.

The sight of the little girl who was all covered in bruises and scratches was a horrifying one. Her face and body were swollen and it was obvious she was in pain.

“I was shocked and heartbroken,” Ormond told PEOPLE. “She was just sitting there. She wasn’t laughing or smiling.”

Ormond rushed Zuri to the St. Barnabas Hospital where she was told how the girl suffered a “mild concussion.”

“We went straight to the hospital. They did a CT scan of her head immediately just to make sure there was no head trauma. There was no internal bleeding,” she said.

Zuri was prescribed antibiotics but her bones were still very tiny for an X-ray to show whether she suffered any internal injuries.

“I felt so weak knowing that my baby is so helpless and couldn’t defend herself nor tell me what even happened. I’ve been feeling so defeated. I thought I was doing the best thing for her.”

The worried mother went to the police station to report the incident but the daycare owners didn’t cooperate. They offered many different stories that were away from the real truth.

Being aware of the impacts of the social media, Ormond took to Instagram to spread awareness of the neglect that takes place at centers where children should be taken care of.

Once the story took the attention of the wide public, the New Jersey Department of Children and Families released a statement to ABC7NY, saying:

“Our records do not show an operating license or registration for J&A Nursery in Newark. Please note that Family Child Care Homes are permitted to operate in New Jersey, without a license, if they are caring for five or fewer unrelated children. However, if programs wish to receive federal subsidies they’re required to voluntarily register with DCF and comply with applicable regulations. Providing care for more than five unrelated children requires a childcare center license, and operating without such a license may subject the operator to prosecution.”

Thankfully, Ormond’s efforts to clear the incident paid off as she got a message saying the place was closed and the owner was to appear at court.

The operator of the J&A Nursery, Lisa Muhammad, received citations for nuisances, failure to obtain a certificate of occupancy, failure to obtain a license, and failure to provide adequate doors for an exit. Her “nursery” which consisted of cribs and a playing area in her basement was closed in November.

At the moment, Ormond is doing her best to make criminal charges be filed against Muhammad.
