Carpenter lives frugally his whole life, spends his savings to fund poor students’ college

Many people live by the belief that every single day should be spent like it’s their last and spend all the money they earn on luxury and good stuff. There are also those who live frugally and believe in saving money for some better times. One person who belonged to the latter is a man named Dale Shroeder. Those who knew him describe him as a thrifty man who earned his fortune by hard work only.

Shroeder worked as a carpenter for the same company his whole life and managed to save a lot of money. In fact, when he retired he had $3 million in his bank account.

He wasn’t stingy, nor mean, he was just used to the life of saving.

But then, the question that bothered him was where he could spend all the money he earned throughout the years. Unable to clarify his thoughts, he decided to contact a lawyer and ask for advice.

The lawyer told him that in case of his death, everything he had would go in the hands of the government because he never got married and didn’t have any children or relatives.

This humble man didn’t like that idea only because he was convinced that the money he had could be used more wisely.

When asked by the lawyer why he even saved that amount and didn’t actually spend it on things he liked, Shroeder shared with him his life story.

It turned out that this man’s family was very poor and he never got to attend college because his parents couldn’t afford it. That’s when he promised himself that he would do everything in his power to give his kids the chance to go to university. Sadly, as he didn’t have any children, he had no idea what to do with the savings.

The lawyer, however, knew exactly where the money should be spent. He told Shroeder that he can set up a fund for kids who desperately want to continue with their education but have no chance to do so because they simply can’t afford it. Shroeder was thrilled by what he heard and his answer to that idea was a resounding yes.

The scholarship fund was activated after Shroeder’s death in 2005 and from that moment on more than 33 students from his home town were given the chance to attend college and make their dream come true.

Among all these young people is a girl named Kira Conrad. She comes from a poor family with just one parent and three sisters.

Kira always wanted to become a therapist but she knew that wasn’t possible despite being an excellent student.

Just when she quit on her goals, someone called her on the phone and told her that Shroeder’s foundation is covering the expenses of her studying. She was over the moon and couldn’t believe that because of a man who passed years ago she will be given the chance to pursue the career she always dreamed of.

The only condition the beneficiaries of Shroeder’s fund should fulfill is put some money aside for other children in need once they become successful people. We believe that’s fair enough.

Take a look at the whole story of the man who restored our faith in humanity. Rest in peace Mr. Shroeder, you are a hero and an inspiration.

Cousins dressed as cowboys perform hilarious dance and gain over 2.6 million views

They say you can choose your friends, but not your family, so I guess one really needs to be very lucky for theirs to be a fun and a lovable one. No matter if we get along with our closest relatives or not, chances are we will have to spend a lot of time together, so we better do our best to like one another. Some families, however, are so close that they are always looking forward to the Sunday afternoons and the reunions. Well, pretty much like the guys from the video below.

Clint Eastwood’s son Scott looks exactly like his dad and is following into his footsteps

Many young actors in the making who happen to have famous parents who have been in the business way before them and are very successful at what they do find that either as a blessing or as an obstacle, because many expect from them to reach their mom’s or dad’s success. When we think of it, it’s safe to say that many did live by the public’s expectations, such as Michael Douglas whose father was legendary actor Kirk Douglas, or Kate Hudson who followed into her mom Goldie Hawn’s footsteps.

Scott Eastwood, the son of actor and director Clint Eastwood, as you are guessing already, chose to pursue a career in acting just like his dad. Now, if you have seen him in front of the camera, you will definitely agree that he inherited not only his dad’s talent, but his great looks, too.

Happy birthday pops. 88 never looked so good. #legend

A post shared by Scott Eastwood (@scotteastwood) on

When he first started acting, Scott took his mom’s surname as he didn’t want people to think he’s getting roles because of his father and not because of what he has to offer. In fact, Scott isn’t the only Clint’s child who wanted to try themselves in the movie industry, but he is the one who resembles his dad the most.

Throughout the years, Scott has posted photos of him and Clint side by side to show the uncanny similarity.

From roles in movies like Suicide Squad and The Fate of the Furious, Scott, who is dubbed a Hollywood hottie, is a rising star.

However, he was never given any of his roles on a plate. Instead, he auditioned for most of the roles in his dad’s movies and missed being part in many of them. But according to him, his father making him work hard for all he has achieved is the best thing he could ever get. “It was probably the best thing dad could have done for me,” Scott told the Sunday People .“He could have made it easy but I wouldn’t have learnt anything from that.”

“He believes you have to earn your way in life and I agree, although there were a lot of times when I would be angry with him because I knew he could have helped me out with money,” Scott added.

Scott’s latest movie sees him starring alongside Orlando Bloom in a 2020 release called The Outpost.

Honestly, we can’t wait to see more of Scott in the years to come. With such talent and charm, his success is guaranteed.

Take a look at the video of this handsome young man speaking how his dad won’t cast him just because they are family.

Husband won’t put up with a giant bully verbally harassing his wife and springs into action

Have you ever found yourself in a situation in which someone you love and care for was attacked by someone else? I guess if that ever happens, most people will step up and try to confront the attacker. That is exactly what happened when a man’s wife got verbally harassed by a giant bully.

The husband, the guy wearing a red hat, got really mad and couldn’t put up with the person offending his loved one. And although he’s tinier than the bully, that didn’t stop him from teaching the bad guy a lesson he will never forget. We are sure the next time he tries to offend someone else’s wife, he would think twice before doing that.

The wife tries to calm her husband down saying, “he’s not worth it,” but the two men are both very frustrated and angry and it’s obvious their argument won’t end peacefully. However, we have to say we didn’t see what the husband did next coming. And as some comment this whole thing was staged, others say things like, “And that, boys and girls, is how a real man handles that situation.”

Check out the video below to see how this husband took matters in his own hands and put the bully in his place, which this time is the ground.

After a successful mission in Georgia, heroic U.S. Marshals save 25 more missing children in Ohio

Last week, the whole country heard of the feat of the U.S. Marshals who managed to track down and rescue nearly 40 missing children during sex trafficking bust in Georgia. Other operations were ongoing and the one in Ohio, “Operation Safety Net,” was a huge success as 25 missing and endangered children between the ages of 13 to 18 years were saved, The Blaze reported.

Speaking to WOIO-TV, US Marshal Peter Elliott said, “These are kids that have been abused, neglected. Some involved in human trafficking.” He then added that in some cases, “the situations they — they go to, believe it or not, may be better than the situations they left from” because it was determined how many of those children were abused and sex trafficked by their own parents.

All of the children were provided with medical help and are now at a safe place.

The goal of the US Marshals was to rescue around 200 missing children in Ohio, so it is very likely the operation will continue in the weeks to come. Elliott added, “This is our first time we have done this, it’s been uncharted territory for us, but we’ve had great success.”

Mansfield News Journal reported that the U.S. Marshals undertook the operation with the assistance of Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, Cleveland Division of Police, the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department, the East Cleveland Police Department, and the Newburgh Heights Police Department.

We are very thankful to everyone involved in “Operation Safety Net.” If it wasn’t for these brave people, all these children would still be in the hands of human sex traffickers and their fate would remain dark.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, over 421,000 children are reported to be missing in the U.S. The number is believed to be way higher as many cases remain unreported and unregistered.

These operations take months of intensive planning. We hope more children will be given a second chance at life all thanks to the heroic Marshals.

75 years after the Holocaust, a drone flies over Auschwitz – the footage is heartbreaking

No war that brings destruction and results in the loss of the lives of the innocent can ever be justified. That 1st of September, 1939, marked the beginning of the most destructive period known as the World War II. One of the reasons Germany attacked Poland was to gather Jews in ghettos and soon after, the first concentration camps were built. By the end of 1945, the number of these camps was 730. Even today, 75 years after the war is over, these places depict the failure of humanity.

Germany, which was led by the Nazis, wanted ethnic cleansing of Jews, Poles, Romani people, homosexuals, and people with disabilities.

Those people imprisoned in the concentration camps were used as an industrial workforce and were starved to death. One of the most notorious concentration camps, known as death camps, is Auschwitz. During the war, more than 1.3 million people were sent there. 1.1 million of them were murdered, and 1 million were Jews.

People share stories of their family members who suffered by the hands of the Nazis, and even now, those chilling words touch us to the core.

“When my grandmother came to Sweden on the White Buses, she weighed only 66 pounds. The buses were organized by a Swedish count named Folke Bernadotte who wanted to save Scandinavian war prisoners during the last part of the war.

“The buses were painted with red crosses in order to avoid attacks.

“Between 15,000 and 30,000 people escaped, thanks to the buses. Most of them were Scandinavian, but in the final weeks of the war, the administration broke down and others were able to use the buses, as well.”

Among those who were rescued by the White Buses, 4,000 were Jews.

“My uncle Moses was born in 1932. From the time he was 5 years old, he worked in a glass factory by the order of the SS (Schutzstaffel). The factory was near the SS headquarters in the Polish city of Piotrków, where Moses was born. The children were considered good workers since their tiny hands could polish glass in places where adult hands were too big and clumsy.”

Moses worked in that factory for three years before he and his mom, Miriam, were sent to a concentration camp in Ravensbrük.

“My grandfather was sent to the Buschenwald concentration camp. Miriam was murdered, and Moses was sent to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. There, he was taken care of by a woman who later was given the name “The Angel of Bergen-Belsen,” for saving so many orphans.”

“By the end of the war, Moses was sent to Sweden.

“After the war, my grandfather Saoul searched for over a year before discovering that some children had been brought to Sweden. He went there and managed to find his son.

“Saoul and my grandmother Rosa met in Sweden. Both of their parents had been killed, and six of my grandmother’s seven siblings had been murdered. My grandfather’s first wife and all six of his siblings were all killed.”

Not many of those who survived the Holocaust are still around us, but the stories of their life and suffering will live forever. We all have to make sure for the evil that happened to the Jews to never be forgotten.

Facebook ad of Aussie trucker who offers “rent-a-daddy” services is going viral

Thinking of switching jobs? Not a bad idea, really, but what field would you like to try yourself in?

An Aussie trucker thought really hard about it and came up with a brilliant idea that took the whole world by storm.

He took to Facebook and offered his services as a rent-a-daddy. Yes, you read it right. He obviously knew how hard it is for some dads to be there whenever their kids need them, so he decided to step up for them and for single moms as well and charge for his services.

Based on what he has to offer, it looks like Jake James (or Orr according to some) of Blue Haven, Australia, is the guy to contact whenever you need someone to fill in the role of your kids’ daddy.

Some of the services he offers are his presence at school pick-ups and drop-offs, “all sporting events” and “up to three activities of the kids’ choice”. The costs of his services start at $30. On top of all this, Jake offers “three hours of instructional learning of valuable life skills”, such as car maintenance and lawn mowing.

However, this guy goes even further and says that for additional amount of money he would even come to family events, birthday parties, and Sunday afternoons.

No one really knows whether he posted his ad which is captioned “Trying out a new career move to get away from trucks so everybody get onboard and support your boy. Rent a daddy today,” for real or just for laugh, but what everyone knows is that it is both unique and hilarious. It definitely caught the attention of many and people are posting very positive comments. One person writes, “I don’t have kids but can I still rent you? I have fur babies if that counts,” while another adds, “I actually think it’s a good idea, good on this man for wanting to step up…where do I apply?”

Mom delivers identical healthy quadruplets amid COVID-19 pandemic

The anticipation of the first ultrasound after learning they are expecting is a very special moment for every parent-to-be. That is the moment when future moms and dads get to hear their little one’s first heart beat, and that’s an experience to cherish.

When Jenny Marr and her husband Chris visited a doctor regarding her pregnancy, they never assumed the news they were about to hear. When Dr. Lauren Murray gave them a ‘strange’ look, they feared something could be wrong, but then, they were told how they weren’t expecting one baby, but three.

“I was like, ‘Oh no, there’s no heartbeat.’ And, she’s like, ‘No, there is a heartbeat.’ She goes, ‘Y’all, there’s three babies in there.’ And we were just absolutely floored,” Jenny said, spreaking with TODAY.

A week later, these overwhelmed parents visited a maternal-fetal medicine specialist only to receive another huge surprise.

“The tech — who was doing the initial (scan) — she gave me a funny look. We were like, ‘Oh what’s going on now?’ We got worried again,’” Chris told TODAY.

“She was really cute. She said, ‘I’m not supposed to say this, but y’all got four babies.’”

Conceiving with quadruplets naturally is sort of a miracle. These pregnancies only happen once in around 15 million and they are not only rare, but awesome. Just imagine the feeling of carrying four little souls inside your body.

Chris said: “I made the joke that I am not coming back because there are going to be five babies next time. We were just shocked. Jumping from three to four was easier to swallow. Just after that we heard they were healthy.”

And their doctor, Dr. Murray was as excited as the parents because as she said, this will probably happen only once during her career and she was happy she got to witness something so incredible.

When it comes to twin pregnancies, it can easily happen for one of the babies to be more dominant inside the womb and get most of the nutrients from their mommy. Doctors feared that could be the case here and even considered a surgery if something like that happened. But the four brothers were more than willing to share and were developing perfectly healthy.

The pregagncy went well, so at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, babies Harrison, Hardy, Henry and Hudson were welcomed into the world on march 15, via a c-section.

“They were all born in three minutes. It’s incredible,” Jenny said. “We called them our baby birds because they really looked like baby birds.”

Three of the four bundles of joy stayed in the neonatal intensive care for 10 weeks, and early in May, there were all home.

“We just hope that this little story and our boys bring as much joy to everybody as they bring to us,” Jenny explained.

We wish this happy family all the best. They are all so cute, aren’t they?
