Alicia Silverstone says she still sleeps with her 11-year-old son

Alicia Silverstone, the Clueless star, has been causing quite a stir on the social media because of her parenting style.

Best know for the coming-of-age teen comedy Clueless, Alicia, who was born in 1976 in San Francisco, California, has earned herself a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Pictures after landing the role of Cher Horowitz.

According to the actress herself, she dreamed of being part of the Hollywood glam even as a child. ”I just knew I always wanted to do it – I didn’t mean movies necessarily. I didn’t even watch movies when I was little, I just wanted to be the word ’actress’, whatever that meant, I think,” she said in 1995.

However, being a teenage star did come with a price. Recalling the time she shot The Crush, which brought her two awards at the 1994 MTV Movie Awards, Alicia revealed she struggled on a personal level.

”Yes, I went to Canada by myself to do the film when I was 15, and I turned 16 on set. I was like, ‘I can do anything.’ But in my heart of hearts, I was lonely. So I trusted everyone, which was a mistake I learned from,” she told Interview Magazine in 2013.

Besides making a name for herself in the film industry, Alicia became a household name thanks to her appearances in music videos, which were a huge thing back in the day when they first gained popularity.

”In the Aerosmith videos, when Marty [Callner], the director, and I talked about doing Crazy, the one with Liv Tyler, we plotted it out together. Right away I said: “I’m not going to strip. I’ll be the man,” Alica told The Guardian.

It was in the Aerosmith video that filmmaker Amy Heckerling spotted Alicia and wanted her in Clueless.

The language used in the movie, the slang and the jargon, as well as the outfits which were original and style-changing, triggered a new trend followed by a huge number of teenagers. Clueless is still considered a classic.

Alicia starred in Batman & Robin, which “definitely wasn’t [her] favourite film-making experience,” and took part in other movies over the years.

In the 2000s, Alicia stepped down from the limelight. “I stopped loving acting for a very long time,” she told The Guardian.

In 2005, she married rock musician Christopher Jarecki with whom she had son Bear Blu Jarecki.

Recently, the actress, who is a vegan and promotes that kind of life, revealed that she still sleeps with her son, who is now 11 years old.

On The Ellen Fisher Podcast, Alicia said, “Bear and I still sleep together. If you were in any kind of wild setting where there are animals if you put your baby over there, your baby is going to get eaten, so it’s not ideal for your baby to be over there.”

Ellen responded that she felt the same when she also decided to co-sleep, saying ‘“Well, if I were sleeping outside in a tent, I wouldn’t put him in a separate tent.”

“I’m a loving mama. I believe in love, I believe in nature, and our society is scared of nature and love,” Alicia added, saying she doesn’t care what people think of her decision.

This isn’t the first time Alicia to cause a stir when it comes to her parenting choices. Back in the day, when Bear was still very young, she posted a photo which showed the boy eating food he took from her mouth.

“He literally crawls across the room to attack my mouth if I’m eating,” she wrote.

In 2011, the actress released her New York Times best-selling cookbook The Kind Diet in which she “shares the insights that encouraged her to swear off meat and dairy forever, and outlines the spectacular benefits of adopting a plant-based diet.”

In recent years, Alicia returned to acting picking small but meaningful roles. 2020 was the year she starred in the comedy thriller Bad Therapy and the movie she exclusively produced, Sister of the Groom.

Speaking to The Guardian, she said, “I think I do really love acting still. I mean…I know I do! I hope to be doing theatre until I’m dead.”

At 46, Alicia Silverstone looks as stunningly beautiful as ever.

Remember Phoebe Cates? This is why the ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’ star left her acting career

Phoebe Cates shot one of the most famous bikini scenes there are. Posing topless by the pool in 1982’s Fast Times at Ridgemont High made Cates an icon many fell for.  Rolling Stone magazine depicted it as ”the most memorable bikini-drop in cinema history.”

Born into a family of actors and directors, acting seemed to run in Cates’ blood.

As a teenager, she was into dancing and even received scholarship to the School of American ballet but was forced to quit at 14 due to a knee injury.

At the time, she replaced her love for dancing with that for modeling. Cates became a teen sensation after she appeared in many teen-oriented magazines. Among the rest, she was featured on the cover of Seventeen magazine four times. Over time, however, she felt like she had it enough and turned to film instead.

”It was just the same thing, over and over. After a while, I did it solely for the money,” she said of her modeling career.

One night, at a party at the famous New York’s Studio 54, Cates met her film agent and then she trained with Robert Ravan, founder of The Actors’ Circle in New York.

”I just knew that I didn’t want to go to college. And that it would be a great way getting out of college if I could get a couple of movies or something. Seriously. It’s true,” she told The Daily Item in 1985.

Cates had her acting debut in 1982 as Sarah in Paradise, and other films, including Experienced and Fast Times at Ridgemont High, followed.

”In this business, if a girl wants a career, she has to be willing to strip. If you’ve got a good body, then why not show it?,” she said of the iconic scene.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High featured famous names in the making at the time it was released, including that of Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Eric Stoltz, and Forest Whitaker.

“Well, it was a funny thing because we were all so young when we made it. And then it came out and it was this big hit, you know, where you’d go to the theater and people would say the lines with it, and people had obviously seen the movie over and over again,” Jennifer Jason Leigh told The Daily News.

Cates’ career took off, but she eventually decided to leave acting behind.

Becoming a mother had to do a lot with this decision as she and her husband Kevin Kline, a critically acclaimed theater actor who is 16 years her senior, agreed to alternate acting jobs so that the children would never be without a parent.

Cates and Kline have been married for 33 years. Back in 2017, on their 27th wedding anniversary, the couple spoke of the key to a long-lasting marriage to what Kline said it’s all about taking care of it.

Today, the former teen model and actress is a shop owner. Her store Blue Tree is located at 1283 Madison Avenue in New York City, on Manhattan’s Upper East Side where she and her family reside.

She does a 9-to-5 job and sells fragrances, clothing, and gifts.

Bruce Willis is battling aphasia ‘trapped’ inside his luxury mansion

The last couple of months have been a real struggle for Bruce Willis and his family.

The Pulp Fiction star steeped away from his career due to his aphasia diagnosis, a condition that affects the ability to comprehend or formulate language because of damage to specific brain regions. It is mostly caused by a stroke or traumatic injury.

The news of Bruce Willis’ retirement was initially shared on the social media by his daughter Rumer, who wrote, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.

“As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

Willis’ career in film has been an impressive one. Best known for his roles in the iconic films Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, and Sixth Sense, among others, this actor’s impact in the world of film is a huge one.

It was during the early 1980s that Willis, who was a promising actor determined to find his place under the Hollywood sky, got a couple of uncredited roles on screen.

In 1985, young Willis auditioned for the role of David Addison in the ABC television series Moonlighting with other 3,000 people who wanted the role but it was Willis who got it. That was his big breakthrough.

At the time the series was canceled, Willis was already a famous name in the industry. He was getting offers and found love with fellow actress Demi Moore whom he married in 1987.

“Bruce was so gallant- in his own boisterous way, a real gentleman. When I said it was time for me to go home, he offered to walk me to my car. He was so eager about it- Like a little boy who didn’t want to miss the ice-cream truck. When he asked for my number, I felt a wave of schoolgirl flutters,” Moore wrote in her memoir, Inside Out. When they first met, both Willis and Moore dated other people.

They became one of the most famous and most influential Hollywood couples, but they eventually divorced in 2000.

Seven years after the split with Moore, with whom he has three daughters, Willis met his future wife, Emma Heming. The two tied the knot in 2009.

“When we first met, I was surprised at how charming and how funny he was – and extremely handsome,” Heming told People. “I was already in love with her,” Willis added.

Following the devastating diagnosis, Willis has been cared for by his wife and their two children, but they certainly don’t have it easy.

Speaking with The Bump in May, Heming explained that taking care of her husband and the kids around the clock has taken its toll on her own health.

“Someone told me not long ago that when you over-care for someone, you end up under-caring for yourself. That stopped me in my tracks and really resonated with me,” Heming revealed.

“I don’t mother myself perfectly but I know that I have some basic baseline needs that are a must… I think it’s important to find that one thing that makes you feel good and build from there.”

She then added, “I put my family’s needs above my own, which I found does not make me any kind of hero. “That amount of care for everyone else within my household had taken a toll on my mental health and overall health. And it served no one in my family.”

Many of Willis’ co-workers suspected he was experiencing health issues, and the actor himself seemed to be aware of the severity of the condition. Reports are that during the last four years, he sold most of his estates, including his Idaho estate, a luxurious Manhattan apartment, and his $27 million Caribbean getaway in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The family’s mansion in Westchester County, north of New York City, was sold in 2019 for $7.66 million.

“He knew there would be a time, as his health declined, when his earning power wouldn’t be as great as it once was,” a source told PageSix.

“Plus he knew that he wouldn’t eventually need multiple estates and apartments to travel between, and that he would instead need to live in a safe environment surrounded by his family.”

Today, the couple and their kids live in their new L.A. mansion.

Although not much is known of Willis’ health and at what pace his illness progresses, his wife shares glimpses of his everyday life on the social media.

This summer, she posted a video of Willis and musician Derek Richard Thomas along with the caption, “Their talent is speaking for itself. I’ll just leave this here.”

Single dad struggles to raise triplets, one day finds out they’re not his

A man named Joe McCarthy met who he thought was the love of his life at an expo in Paris. He and Ariana soon fell in love and dreamed of starting a family together.

One day, she told him she was pregnant. Joe was excited and surprised at the same time. The two did want to have children but they always spoke of having them after they get married.

Joe knew both he and Ariana took all the precautions to avoid an unexpected pregnancy, but she assured him that despite that, things like that happened.

The two tied the knot at an intimate ceremony and everything seemed perfect, but then, Ariana’s behavior changed. She would spend most of her time on her phone and wouldn’t let Joe access her email. But he was way too excited at the prospect of becoming a father so he let his wife’s behavior slide through his fingers.

Then, a day at the hospital changed this man’s life forever. During a scan, it was revealed Ariana was carrying triplets, and as Joe was over the moon, she was devastated by the thought of having three babies.

“What? Triplets? I cannot afford to give birth to three babies and ruin my beauty!” she shrieked after hearing the news.

“But baby, those are our babies. You cannot talk so badly about them. What is the connection between having babies and your beauty? I don’t understand,” Joe asked.

“What is the connection? Joe, I will start looking old, and nobody will be interested in looking at me!” Ariana yelled.

“Looking at you? Wait…what do you mean by that? Who else do you want to appreciate your beauty other than me, your husband?” Joe asked. At this point, Ariana uttered the unthinkable and unlocked another heartbreak for Joe.

“I married you to live a wealthy life. I thought we were not just architects building others’ dreams but also a rich couple who could build theirs as well. But your earnings are not enough to even go on a cruise!” she fumed. “And with these three extra burdens coming into the world, I doubt if you would give me all the luxuries I want!”

This broke Joe’s heart into a million pieces. Once the babies were welcomed into the world, three healthy girls, Joe got full custody and Ariana left the family for good. Or at least Joe thought so.

Raising three children was way harder than this father could ever imagine, but he never gave up trying.

He provided a great life for his girls, but then, one day, things were about to change.

Out of the blue, Ariana appeared on Joe’s doorstep.

“YOU??? What are you doing here?” He gasped in shock. “YOU??? What are you doing here?” He gasped in shock.

Ariana then pushed her way into the house and started yelling, “Girls! Mom is home! Don’t you want to see your mommy?”

Luckily, the girls weren’t home.

Joe asked her to get out of the house, reminding her that the girls only had one parent, him.

Hearing that, Ariana said something shocking. “Oh really? Who said you’re their DAD? I had two other boyfriends while dating you. And I got really “intimate” with one of them on tour. These girls must be his… I’m sure they aren’t yours because you were away on a month-long expo to Egypt.”

Joe collapsed. His world turned upside down. He didn’t want to face the reality and asked for proof.

Some two weeks later, Ariana got the results of the DNA test she requested. Sadly, the girls weren’t Joe’s.

The following day, she asked to take the girls with her. “Send my girls with me. I need to sue that rich scoundrel for alimony, and I can only do it if I have my children with me,” she said.

Joe now knew he wasn’t the father, but that didn’t change the fact that he raised them and loved them unconditionally. So, instead of giving up, he decided to fight Ariana at court, something that shocked her.

Ariana had DNA results, but Joe had the documents she had signed six years ago, handing over the legal custody of the children to him. She had also signed off her rights on them to Joe.

At that point, her case didn’t stand a chance. She lost the legal battle and the girls stayed with Joe.

As he walked out the court with his girls, they asked him, “Dad, who is she? Why is she talking to you?”

Joe answered, “She’s a stranger. We don’t talk to strangers anymore! Come, let’s go home. Dad is having two weeks off, and shall we go on that cruise we had planned?!”

13 years ago, quintuplets were born into the Artamkin family: this is what the teenage sisters look like now

What every expectant mother hopes and prays for is for her child to be born healthy. The process of giving birth can be a scary one, but once the bundle of joy is in the safest arms there are, those of their mother, everything falls into place.

A couple from Moscow, Russia, Varvara and Dmitry, received the news that changed their lives when they learned they were expecting five babies.

The pregnancy seemed to be a normal one, but still, doctors advised the couple to terminate the development of two of the babies for the safety of the mother. Varvara, however, didn’t like the idea and was determined to carry all of her five babies.

When she reached the 27th week of pregnancy, Varvara welcomed her quintuplets into the world. Because they were all very tiny, they spent some time at the hospital and were eventually sent home.

The family was given a fully equipped four-room condo by the local government.

Today, the girls are 13 years old, but their age and their parents seem to be all they have in common. All five of them are pretty different when it comes to their physical appearance as well as their personalities.

The girls attend church since childhood and help their mom and dad around the house.

King Charles called William and Kate “tasteless” after embarrassing picture on their first royal tour as a couple

The new Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, represent one of the most influential couples in the world. Kate is a much loved member of the Royal Family and her love story with William dates way back to the time they were both students at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

Speaking of the time the two met for the first time through mutual friends, Kate recalled: “I actually went bright red when I met you and scuttled off feeling very shy about meeting you.

“William wasn’t there for quite a bit of the time initially, he wasn’t there from Fresher’s Week, so it did take a bit of time for us to get to know each other.”

At the beginning, the two were just good friends, but one specific outfit changed it all.

Namely, Kate was a part of a fashion show and wore a $40 dress. They way she looked during that occasion, which turned serendipitous, caught William’s eye.

“A switch had been flicked, he suddenly saw her in a different light, and I really believe that was the turning point in their relationship,” Katie Nicholl, Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent, said in the documentary The Day Will and Kate Got Married.

Their love was deep and they got the entire attention from the media. Kate even made a public appearance with the Royals and attended the Sovereign’s Parade at the Royal Military Academy, in which William attended, along with her family.

And as everyone believed a royal marriage was just around the corner, the two split in 2007.

Recalling the time of their break up, both Kate and William claimed it was actually good for them because they got to “find themselves.” Kate even said that “you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you’re younger,” as per The Telegraph.

The two got back together in 2008 and William proposed to Kate in 2010 during a trip to Kenya with his late mother’s engagement ring.

Before the couple announced their engagement, Kate was nicknamed “Waity Katie” and “Lazy Katie.” According to Buckingham Palace officials, it was a reference to the fact that Middleton had recently quit her job to “prepare for her future life.”

Fast forward to today, the couple has been married for 11 years and they share three children together.

Over the years the new Prince and Princess of Wales have served the country to the best of their abilities. They are adored by millions for their dedication and hard work, but at the very beginning, when the two undertook their first royal tour together, they did something that frustrated then-Prince Charles.

The couple went on 10-day visit to the US and Canada, but the behavior they adopted while there was perceived as too laid-back back in Britain.

In her book, Prince Charles: The Passions and Paradoxes of an Improbable Life, royal author Sally Bedell Smith wrote that Charles thought William and Kate’s trip to the US and Canada had too many “tasteless” photo opportunities and were too much of a “camera-friendly couple,” treating the trip as a holiday rather than work.

One particular photo Charles was allegedly not fond of is the one in which the then-newlyweds wore cowboy hats.

Many believed that this trip was the trigger of the rivalry people felt rose between William and his father Charles.

“When Charles and Camilla visited ­Canada two years ago they were greeted by relatively small crowds. They are in their Sixties and are not what you would call glamorous,” royal author Phil Dampier told The Mirror.

“Charles felt overshadowed by Diana and now it seems he feels overshadowed by their son. Some people may think he is jealous. I have always felt that as soon as William got married, Charles would feel sidelined.”

Kate and William step away from royal duties after tense time

With Queen Elizabeth’s passing, not only Charles became King of England, but the heir apparent and his wife received new titles too. Long known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate are now Prince and Princess of Wales, and with their new titles came bigger responsibilities.

The couple and their three children recently moved from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage, located just 10 minutes from Windsor Castle. Despite the move, Kensington Palace remains their official residence and workspace, and will continue to house their staff. As they settled in their new home, William and Kate are reported to have stepped away from their royal duties for a while and have taken a well-deserved break.

Becoming a princess means Kate will step up during international tours, where she is expected to partake in more royal engagements and walkabouts.

“Kate has taken on her most senior role to date,” royal expert Emily Nash told Hello.

“She’ll continue to champion mental health and the importance of the Early Years as she has done for a long time, and she’ll continue to represent the monarchy and the UK on overseas visits.” 

These new roles, along with the rest of the changes that followed since the Queen died, resulted in a stressful period for the entire family.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have all started school. They now attend Lambrook School in Windsor, the school two of Queen Victoria’s grandsons, Prince Christian Victor and Prince Albert of Schleswig-Holstein, attended.

“We are delighted that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as we all as all of our new pupils, to our school community,” Jonathan Perry, headmaster at Lambrook, said.

The children had a hard time accepting that their loving great-grandmother would no longer be part of their lives. She celebrated her Platinum Jubilee earlier this year, a joyful event that marked the incredible 70 years of her reign, and now they were told that the Queen passed away.

Kate and William insisted they deliver the sad news to their children before the world learned of Queen Elizabeth’s passing. George and Charlotte attended the funeral, but the Prince and Princess of Wales believed Louis was too young to able to stand still during the lengthy ceremony.

During their October half-term break, which ends on October 31, the children are home and William and Kate have the opportunity to spend some quality time as a family with them.

“They [Kate and Wills] love that the kids can go out on their bikes and cycle around the estate, and they are all really excited to meet everyone. It’s a real little community,” a source told People.

Another friend of the Prince and Princess of Wales described them as a “modern royal family doing normal things.”

 On the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Kate revealed back in 2020 that she was happiest when: “I’m with my family outside in the countryside and we’re all filthy dirty.”

“Someone did ask me the other day, what would you want your children to remember about their childhood?” Kate said. “And I thought that was a really good question, because actually if you really think about that, is it that I’m sitting down trying to do their maths and spelling homework over the weekend?”

The Princess added, “Or is it the fact that we’ve gone out and lit a bonfire and sat around trying to cook sausages that hasn’t worked because it’s too wet?”

He is still alive despite reports, but his health is not doing well

Reports claiming Jerry Lewis had died in his Memphis home earlier today are false.

The news of Lewis’ passing was first reported by TMZ. The outlet later claimed it was someone claiming to be Lewis’ representative who had incorrectly informed them Lewis had passed.

“Jerry Lee Lewis is not dead … as we previously reported,” TMZ began their statement. “We’re told the rock ‘n’ roll legend is alive, living in Memphis.

“Earlier today we were told by someone claiming to be Lewis’s rep that he had passed. That turned out not to be the case,” adding they regret the error.

Jerry Lee Lewis is a singer, songwriter, and pianist. He was born on September 29, 1935.

Best known for his hit song Great Balls of Fire, associated with the Top Gun franchise, Lewis is considered the pioneer of rock’n’roll music. Nicknamed “The Killer,” Lewis’s career in music began in the 1950s and both Rolling Stone Mick Jagger and Beatle Paul McCartney have named him as their inspiration.

He was also someone Elvis Presley admired. It was reported that the “King of Rock and Roll” once said that if he could play the piano like Lewis, he would stop singing.

Despite his enormous fame, Lewis’ career faltered in the wake of his marriage to Myra Gale Brown, his 13-year-old cousin. If Brown’s young age wasn’t reason enough for his fans to be shocked and disappointed, at the time he married her, he was still legally married to his previous wife.

In 1970, 12 years into the union, Brown filed for divorce, citing that she had been “subject to every type of physical and mental abuse imaginable.”

Over the years, the singer has been married seven times, with him first tying the knot at the age of just 16. This marriage, to the local preacher’s daughter, Dorothy Barton, lasted 20 months.

Today, Lewis is still married to his seventh wife, Judith Lewis.

After years of conquering music stages, last week, Lewis was finally inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Sadly, he missed the ceremony due to health issues and Kris Kristofferson accepted the award on his behalf. It was reported that Lewis had the flu.

His health hasn’t been best in recent years. Back in 2019, he suffered a stroke but was able to fully recover.

Lewis wrote a letter to his fans, explaining the situation, he wrote, “It is with heartfelt sadness and disappointment that I write to you today from my sick bed, rather than be able to share my thoughts in person. I tried everything I could to build up the strength to come today.”

Despite his fragile health, we hope Lewis would be able to recover soon.
