I can’t believe my wife left me in the hospital on the day we were supposed to come home together with our newborn twins. The reason dogs often chase people

It is in the nature of dogs to chase after things, whether it’s a ball, a tree branch, or another object. It’s an activity they truly enjoy. But have you ever wondered why they chase humans too? If yes, we may have the answer.

One of the reasons why dogs chase people is because of their drive to pray.

These creatures have an innate instinct to chase moving things. Also, they are territorial animals and sometimes chase people in order to protect their territory. When dogs start barking, growling, or showing teeth when a person approaches their home, they may show this kind of behavior because they feel threatened for their territory.

Further, dogs sometimes bark at people and chase after them when they encounter new experiences. No matter how strange this sounds, the new people they meet have their own scent, certain body movements, as well as behaviors that the dogs haven’t experienced before, so they feel threatened. The truth is, dogs are just cautious in such situations.

There are certain human traits that can make dogs angry. For some dogs, it may be wearing glasses, while for others, it could be wearing a hat. Some dogs are also angered by certain people’s voices.

It is a well known fact that the dog is a man’s best friend, so, when the dog chases after strangers and barks at them, it may be because they believe they are protecting their owner that way.

One valuable trait dogs are believed to possess is sensing human’s nature.

These animals are keen observers that watch and remember human’s actions.

Sometimes dogs show aggressive behavior, such as barking and chasing after people, because of past experiences. They may have been hurt by a human in the past and are now cautious around new people.

One way to prevent your dog express anger against other people is to treat them well since they are little, to expose them to different noises and scents.

What also helps is a good training and a little reward in form of a treat when they behave good around other people. Positive reinforcement is never a bad idea.

19-year-old football player suffocates on his own stomach acid

19-year-old Luca Manolache was a professional football player who played for Metaloglobus Bucure’ti until August 2024 before he was forced to put his career on hold due to a series of health issues.

Reportedly, young Luca suffered from prolonged dizziness, bloody stools, and chills. He lacked energy to finish even the first halves of the matches during the past couple of months, as per the Daily Mail.

During a match, his symptoms were so severe that the club needed to call an ambulance.

At the time, young football player Luca Manolache complained his vision turned black.

His condition worsened once again on February 28 while he was out with a family members. Ambulance was called one again, and while the young football player waited for them to arrive, he called his mother. “Mum, Mum, I can’t do it anymore,” he told his mom.

His mother reported she had heard her son asking one of the nurses if she thought he was going to die.

As per The Sun, while Luca was inside the ambulance, he once again complained that his vision was black.

His mom rushed to the County Hospital in Târgoviște, Romania, but he passed away before she got there. It was Luca’s siter who called her mom and told her of her brother’s passing.

According to the doctors, they tried to save him, but while doing so, his body began to negatively react with his stomach acid which led to drowning.

The club he played for expressed their disbelief and sadness over the loss of Luca.

“We are shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss. His love for football and his smile brought happiness on the field. 

“The last appearance in the Metaloglobus shirt was on August 24, 2024, in the match against CS Afumati, playing 10 minutes from the reserve position. 

“Following the game against CS Afumati, the player complained of fatigue during training, which led the technical staff to stop him from training and recommend thorough medical examinations. 

“Rest in peace dear ‘Mano’. Sincere condolences to the grieving family, the entire Metaloglobus family is with you in these devastating moments,” the club posted on the social media.

Man dies for six minutes, revealing what happens after death

I believe that at some point in our lives, most of us wondered what happens after death? Is there afterlife? Are the concepts of heaven and hell real? There are a lot of questions that are left unanswered regarding this controversial topic.

Taking to Reddit, a man shared a story that intrigued many.

According to him, at the time he was still a teenager, 15 years old to be exact, he “died for six minutes” and was taken to heaven. Namely, back in 2003, he simply collapsed on the road before experiencing the spiritual journey that left many stunned.

That day seemed like any other. He was feeling perfectly fine, when suddenly, he experienced a cold sweat, started losing his breath, and suffered ventricular fibrillation, which is an abnormal heart rhythm.

“During my visit, I learned things about our universe that I wish I hadn’t,” the user wrote, as per The Mirror. “It began with light. Blinding, white, pervasive. It bathed me, calmed me. It was everything they tell you about. Beatific, welcoming, the stuff of spiritual experiences.”

All of a sudden, he experienced the feeling of being lifted, and unexpectedly, he found himself in front of the heaven’s gates.

“I arrived in a place without dimension, a place beyond reality. It only made sense while I occupied it. I don’t believe a corporeal being can make sense of the astral plane, something about its intangible existence defies translation.

“So what I came away with were more impressions than images. I was not alone. Several life forces enclosed me upon my arrival. At first, because of my Christian upbringing, I believed them to be angels. In my incorporeal form, I made the spiritually-equivalent gesture of opening my arms, anticipating their embrace,” he said.

“Instead, I felt myself shackled by their powers, like a collared dog. Humiliation and terror came over me. These were not the ethereal beings I’d been led to believe await us. These were cruel, unsympathetic overlords by whom I was fettered.”

The creatures ridiculed the man, telling him the world was sort of a ‘soul-farming’ exercise for a kind of higher being and that upon their passing, the souls of the humans goes to them. The man also claimed they tortured him and told him not to tell anyone about what he had seen.

The six minutes in “heaven” felt like an eternity.

When his heart was restarted and he got back to life, he shared the story with the doctors and his love ones who claimed his vision was a result of trauma and his young age.

However, no matter others tried to convince him his experience was unreal, he knew what he had seen.

The man’s post gathered plenty of comments, with many people sharing their own near-death experiences.

This isn’t the first time someone to claim they have seen heaven.

Donnie Wahlberg hands single mom jaw-dropping tip at IHOP – tells her ‘open it when we leave’

Turning a new leaf and starting your life over is something not many people have the courage to do. However, a woman named Bethany Provencher isn’t one of those people who are afraid of challenges and new beginnings.

This woman, who is a single mom of an 11-year-old boy, packed all of her belongings and moved to St. Charles, Illinois for a fresh start after 18 years in Miami.

Having worked in the customer service industry for 25 years, she quickly found a job as a server at the local IHOP. She even moved into a new apartment but didn’t have any money to furnish it.

One day, while on the job, she spotted two familiar faces, that of singer-songwriter Donnie Wahlberg and his wife Jenny McCarthy.

Donnie being one of Bethany’s favorite singers, she was happy to be their server. What she didn’t know, however, was that the day would turn even better.

When they finished with their lunch, Donnie and Jenny paid the bill, which was $35.27, and left Bethany a message on the receipt which read, “Thanks, Bethany, Happy New Year. 2020 Tip Challenge,” leaving her a generous tip of $2,020.

They asked her not to open the receipt until they left. Once she got the chance to take a look at it, she noticed the generous tip. Needless to say, Bethany was over the moon.

Eric Braeden of ‘The Young and the Restless’ bad news

Eric Braeden, 83, best known for his portrayal of mogul Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless, shared with his fans that he has been diagnosed with cancer recently.

He learned of the devastating diagnosis while recovering from a knee-replacement surgery.

As revealed in his 13-minute Facebook Live session on Friday, Braeden, who is one of the most famous actors in daytime television, experienced prostate issues which turned out to be cancer. “Whilst recuperating from the knee surgery, I began to have problems with my prostate,” he said. “I hate to be this personal, but I think this may be good for some older guys who may or may not listen to this. It’ll happen to them.”

Doctors were able to remove the cancer during a UroLift surgery, a treatment option for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and the German-born actor had undergone a six-week immunotherapy plan.

“I’m a little under the weather, but not really much,” he revealed. “I’ve learned now to listen to my body more and not go all out. I’m gonna get it. And I’ll be in top form again soon.

“I will lick this,” Braeden continued. “This bastard ain’t going to get me; I’m going to get it.”

As for his role on The Young and the Restless, which he has held for over four decades, Braeden said it’s what keeps him going. “So that’s where I am right now,” he said. “I love acting, I entertain people. I love your support. So, whenever you have someone in the family who goes through this, support them. It can work out. Nowadays, there is so much advancement in cancer treatment, you can survive it.”

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Braeden explained that acting distracts him from the health issues and that he’s happy when he knows he entertains people.

When he first landed the role in the series, his character was supposed to be a guest character who was to last for eight to twelve weeks, but he has evolved into the soap opera’s leading male figure.

Most recently, he announced he’s cancer free, but he also opened up about the topic of retirement as he celebrated 45 years of being part of the show.

Speaking to TV Insider, the actor said, “You can’t really define someone’s success in this business. It’s a marriage of the right role, the right time, on the right network, surrounded by the right people. It’s serendipitous, really.”

Asked if he plans to retire any time soon, he firmly said “No.”

Sadly, Eric Braeden lost his home during the LA wildfires.

“It’s been kind of peculiar,” he told the publication. “Emotionally, you go through ups and downs, but we shall take it step by step. There are uncertainties regarding insurance, and it’s a very difficult situation. When I saw the ashes, I looked into the rubble and remembered my wife and my granddaughter, who we adore, sitting there before Christmas and having a wonderful conversation about her experiences and her travels. But you’re never really fully prepared for the unforeseen events in life. I grew up during the Second World War, and that was arguably worse, so some of me is optimistic. You just look forward. S***w it all.”

Multiple people injured as plane crashes in suburban Pennsylvania

Emergency services responded to a call and rushed to Manheim Township in Lancaster County, in suburban Pennsylvania, after a small plane crashed into a parking lot, leaving multiple people injured.

As per the Daily Mail, after hitting the lined cars, the plane erupted in flames. The vehicles at the parking lot also burst into flames, between Fairview Drive and Meadowview Court.

The plane, believed to be a Beechcraft A36TC model as seen from the footage and photos of the wreckage, took off on Sunday afternoon as scheduled but requested to land due to an open door.

Audio from the air traffic control showed the pilot asking the ground agents to turn around, and at one point, he noted that the strong wind coming from the open hatch made the radio inaudible.

“Pull up… the aircraft is down just behind the terminal in the parking lot tree area,” the air traffic controller replied.

According to AP, a total of five people were on the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania state governor Governor Josh Shapiro said on X: “PA State Police is on the ground assisting local first responders following the small private plane crash near Lancaster Airport in Manheim Township.

“All Commonwealth resources are available as the response continues, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.”

According to reports, multiple people suffered burns.

The Pennsylvania plane accident is another one in the series of airplane crashes that happened during the last several months.

In January – in what was dubbed the deadliest plane crash on recent years – 67 people lost their lives after an American Airlines aircraft collided with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter.

Shortly after, a medical jet carrying a family, including a young girl receiving a life-saving treatment – crashed on its way to Mexico from the USA, leading to the death of all six people aboard the plane.

Gas company releases statement following extensive investigation at the home of Gene Hackman

The deaths of two-time Oscar winner Gene Hackman, his wife Betsy Arakawa, and their family dog remain a mystery. The investigation regarding their passing revealed that the couple and their pet had been dead for some time before they were found.

They initially believed that the cause of death was due to gas leak and possible poisoning with carbon monoxide.

As of now, it was reported that the New Mexico Gas Company concluded its inspection at the home where Gene Hackman and Arakawa resided located at 1425 Old Sunset Trail. The company said in a statement that they had done thorough inspection of the residence for both gas leak and any presence of carbon monoxide and shared their findings with the authorities on March 5.

Inspectors didn’t detect life-threatening hazards but they did mark several red tags. One involved a small gas leak from a stove burner, with gas levels measuring 0.33 percent in the air – amount considered non-lethal by industry standards. The rest of the concerns were related to regulatory issues with the water heater and gas log lighters in the fireplaces.

Following the report, authorities said neither of these issues could be the reason that led to Hackman-Arakawa’s deaths. 

Social media users were quick to share their thoughts on the findings of the Gas Company that inspected the home of Gene Hackman. 

“A tiny leak is enough to kill,” someone wrote. “A minuscule leak is still a leak discharging poisonous deadly gas. And continuously will fill the entire house 😱,” another added.

The New York Post shared on Friday that prior to his passing, Hackman “was in very poor health,” citing New Mexico Chief Medical Examiner Heather Jarrell.

According to Jarell, the Hollywood icon died of hypertension and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer’s roughly a week after his wife’s passing. 

“Examination of the brain showed advanced Alzheimer’s disease as well as blood vessel changes in the brain,” Jarrell said during the press conference, as per New York Post. 

“It is reasonable to conclude that Mr. Hackman died on February 18,” she continued, based on evidence of a “cardiac event” recorded by his pacemaker.

Further, the medical examiner explained the autopsy and full body post-mortem CT examination showed the actor had “severe heart disease,” and a history of heart disease. Also, the autopsy revealed Hackman had severe changes of the kidneys due to chronic high blood pressure,” and had undergone “multiple surgical procedures involving the heart.”

Regarding Betsy Arakawa, Page Six reported she died from hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS), a rare rodent-transmitted virus. The cause of death was natural.

Knowing his mental state, it was possible Hackman wasn’t aware his wife was dead.

What parents need to know about ‘Bigorexia’

Many times, societies set expectations about what being beautiful is, leading to many question their physical appearance and feeling the urge to change it in order to conform to the norms.

However, while body image has been associated with women only in the past, nowadays it affects males as much.

Bigorexia, or muscular dysmorphia, affects hundreds of thousands of men out there.

It is a disorder that shares similarities with anorexia in terms of being obsessed with the body image. However, while a person suffering from anorexia tries to keep their weight as low as possible, those diagnosed with bigorexia are obsessed with becoming muscular, convincing themselves they are never brawny enough.

However, “Unlike anorexia nervosa, which may be easily identified by parents or pediatricians, disordered eating to increase bulk may masquerade as healthy habits and because of this, it tends to go unnoticed,” says Jason Nagata, MD, of the UCSF Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine.

Experts believe that this disorder is partially a result of the influence of social media influencers who try to portray themselves as embodying an unrealistic, hyper-masculine ideal. This lead many people, especially men, to feel dissatisfied with their bodies and seek the perfection they see in the magazines and on social media sites.

Kara Becker, a certified eating disorder therapist and national director of eating disorder programs at Newport Healthcare, defines bigorexia as “a psychological condition and type of body dysmorphic disorder which involves a distorted self-image that focuses specifically on muscle size and physical appearance.”

Clinical psychologist Amy Gooding explains that “individuals may have an inaccurate view of their bodies, often believing they are smaller or less muscular. This belief and subsequent preoccupation can lead to unhealthy behaviors, including obsessive exercise, and may lead to changing one’s eating to be as lean as possible.”

The term muscular dysmorphia was first coined around 1997.

However, experts agree that further research needs to be done in order to learn how bigorexia develops and how it should be treated.

While some experts believe it should be treated as an eating disorder, just like the anorexia, others say it is in fact a behavioral addiction or a type of body dysmorphic disorder.

Certain factors that can lead to this disorder are history of being bu****d, loneliness, unhealthy views about masculinity, low self-esteem, and the above mentioned influence of the social media.

Lip reader says JD Vance made threat before Trump congress speech

Trumps speech to Congress continues to spark a worldwide debate days after it took place. But it wasn’t just the president who made headlines but Vice-President JD Vance too.

While he remained quiet during the majority of Trump’s 90-minutes-long speech, clapping as the president spoke of the achievements of his administration since he took office, Vance exchanged a few words with House Speaker Mike Johnson, and according to a lip-reader, he made a chilling threat.

Namely, as a number of clips from Trump’s speech appeared on the social media, lip-reader Jeremy Freeman tried to reveal what Vance actually said.

“Yes it is, a full reckoning, and long overdue,” Freeman claims the vice-president said, before allegedly joking about the length of Trump’s speech: “By the way, I think the speech is going to be great. But I don’t know how you do this for 90 minutes.”

Johnson’s reply could be heard on a hot mic. “The hardest thing was doing it during Biden, when his speech was a stupid campaign speech.”

Before saying more, Johnson moved the mic away.

The question raised is what exactly Vance referred to when he said “full reconning?”

“What’s the reckoning JD? What are you vultures planning? You’ve hijacked our country & it’s money what are you going to do now? send us to camps?” someone posted on X.

“I’ve seen Vance’s type before. The weedy kid who hangs around the bully, but soils himself when the bully isn’t around and is confronted alone. Runs his mouth, but backpedals when he realizes he’s about to get a punch in the face. I detest bullies, and those who enable them,” shared another.

“Trump is a dupe – Vance is the threat,” a third added.

Vance’s words come after the Oval Office meeting with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which the media dubbed a complete debacle.

Vance also drew criticism this week when he referred to France and Britain as to “random countries.”

Trump stuns democrats with a bold move – Checkmate

President Donald Trump addressed the Congress on March 4th for the first time since taking office and the speech he delivered became a hot topic, making headlines not only in the States but worldwide.

Among the rest, he delivered a message to the people of Greenland, saying, “If you choose, we welcome you into the United States of America.

“We need Greenland for national security and even international security.

“And we’re working with everybody involved to try and get it. But we need it really for international world security.”

Further, in his speech to the Congress, Trump blamed Biden’s administration for spending $8 million on making mice transgender, something comedian and host Jimmy Kimmel mocked him about on his show.

President Trump bragged of his administration’s accomplishments so far, and while the Republicans praised his speech, the Democrats showed their discontent with the government’s work.

Taking to the social media, many of them sparked debates about constitutional crisis, claiming he’s undermining democracy.

The deep divisions in American politics are now more obvious than ever.

Addressing the Republican Governors Association, Trump said, “I think the midterms are going to be a big, big surprise.

“You go back to the last I think eight elections in a row, the midterms haven’t been great for the person that wins the presidency. And I think so far, we’re very popular.”

He expressed his confidence that his party would dominate the 2026 elections, maintaining full control of the federal government, as per the Daily Mail.

“The red states are going to do good, and the blue states, I don’t know, maybe they’ll totally disappear off that map,” Trump said.

According to the Independent, the House Democrats are looking for a way to “productively” disrupt President Donald Trump’s speech to Congress. Citing Axios, they reported a democrat to have said, “The part that we all agree on is that this is not business as usual and we would like to find a way — productively — to express our outrage.

“There are definitely a lot of constituents that really want Democrats to disrupt and there are… constituents who feel like that just plays into his hands,” a House Democrat told the outlet.

My wife left me and the kids for a rich man — 2 years later, she begged for another chance

My wife left me and the kids, and her decision not only brought devastation and anger but also left me facing a million questions from my girls and my entire family—questions I didn’t have the answers to.

What I believed to be a beautiful marriage of ten years ended as though it had never existed.

During the last couple of months of my union with Melissa, she became distant and spent more time on her phone and on the social media than around the girls.

It felt like something switched in her. She was no longer her old self.

And then, out of the blue, she told me she wanted out of the marriage.

“Melissa, it’s not just about you and I, we have two daughters together,” I tried to convince her to change her minds.

In the days to come, my pleas turned into begging, but she wouldn’t listen.

“What is wrong, Melissa, we can work together on whatever makes you feel this way,” I said, but she seemed determined to leave.

We weren’t extremely wealthy, but we did have nannies for the girls growing up and could afford to go on family vacations twice a year, but it seemed like my wife wanted more.

“I’ve found myself,” she said. “I want something different.” She then packed her bags and left.

Heartbroken, I found myself struggling between work, the house, and taking care of my girls. On top of everything, my entire family wanted to know why my marriage burst like a bubble, and I didn’t know the answer.

The girls kept asking when mommy was coming home, and those questions shattered my world.

The worst of all was that I was diagnosed with cancer, but my wife left before I even had the chance to share my diagnosis with her.

A few weeks later, I finally learned the true reason behind Melissa’s decision. She was with another man, her financial consultant.

As I scrolled through his Instagram, I saw photos of them at expensive 5-star restaurants, and their travels to Paris.

My wife left me and the kids so that she could have fun while her daughters left empty spaces on their crayon drawings hoping she would come back.

It was excruciating, especially for Sophie and Emily who longed for their mom.

But over time, we managed to cope with the reality of Melissa’s absence. My days consisted of struggling to balance my commitments and the long and tiring chemo sessions. My biggest concern was that my girls could lose their father.

The following year was a real hell. Chemo was excruciating, leaving me vomiting and barely standing on my legs. I lost my hair and a significant amount of weight. But I refused to give up.

After all those struggles, twelve rounds of chemo and a number of radiotherapies, I was finally cancer-free.

And then, two years after my wife abandoned us, I met her at a gas station and the meeting almost felt like poetic justice. Seeing her after that much time felt surreal. I couldn’t believe my eyes. “Melissa, is that you?” I asked as soon as I got out of my car.

She looked older and fragile, as though her entire world collapsed.

Melissa tried to avoid me at first, but she then asked to talk to me at the nearest park.

The woman who felt confident and wanted more from her life than being around her husband and her children was now crushed. She regretted her decision of ever leaving and begged to reconnect with her daughters.

“No, Melissa,” I said firmly. “They spent a long time feeling miserable because their mother had left them. But now they finally moved on an are thriving.”

Her new man, Marco, turned out to be a fraud who left her penniless.

At one point, I even felt sorry for my wife who left me and the kids and her poor choices, but I didn’t let her tears change my decision of not taking her back.

Both me and my kids deserved better.

Mother-in-law makes fun of son’s wife for a long time

In-law relationships can be difficult to navigate. Often, both sides feel the pressure of balancing respect for each other while protecting their boundaries. The truth is that these relationships require patience and open communication.

From the very first moment Liliya met her mother-in-law, it was obvious the elderly woman didn’t like her. She believed Liliya wasn’t good enough for her son, Igor.

He was an engineer, and Liliya seemed to be just an ordinary manager at the mall located at the city’s outskirts. Often, Liliya’s mother-in-law, Alla Sergeevna Voronova, would tell her son to leave his wife because she wasn’t worthy of his love.

These words hurt Liliya, but her love for Igor was so big that she felt like she needed to endure everything.

What neither Alla nor Igor knew was that the shopping mall where Liliya worked belonged to her parents. They also owned a number of apartments around the city.

Following their passing, it was Liliya who inherited everything.

So, one day, when Alla said she was looking for a place to rent, Liliya knew she had to put her plan to teach her MIL a lesson into action.

It wasn’t long before Liliya ran her fingers through the lines of the lease agreement. Alla never assumed she would be paying rent to the daughter-in-law she disliked so much. The deal was done through a real-estate agency so that Alla never suspected anything.

Time passed by before Alla failed to pay her rent on time. It was then that Liliya sent her an eviction notice. She somehow felt sorry for her MIL because she was her husband’s mom, but she knew Alla deserved it.

However, as she felt the pressure of her secret too big, she decided to tell Igor everything before she sent the notice. She explained to him that her parents were wealthy people and that she owned a business and several estates. Among the rest, she confessed that she also owned the apartment his mother rented.

Igor was confused, and even mad, but once Liliya explained her reasons, he said he understood her. Then, it was about time Alla also learn the truth.

Needless to say, when she received the eviction notice with her daughter-in-law’s name on it and realized she was paying rent to her for so long, she felt betrayed and angry.

Eventually, the mother-in-law understood that she treated Liliya badly and never gave her a chance.

It took time before the two women started getting along and put all their differences aside, but they knew they had to do it because of the man that meant the world to both of them, Igor.

Woman entered my apartment with a key saying my hubby invited her

I spent the last couple of months away from home, taking care of my sick mother. All I knew during that period were sleepless nights, bland cafeteria food, occasional hospital chair naps, and a lot of worry.

When mom finally started feeling better and it was about time I get back home, I felt relieved. Honestly, I couldn’t wait to have coffee in my kitchen, sleep in my bed, and see my husband, Michael.

However, shortly after I returned home, I received a huge surprise that almost turned my world upside down.

I entered my apartment and took a long shower, but that’s when I heard the front door open.

Wrapped in a towel, I rushed downstairs and that’s when I saw a gorgeous young woman holding the key to my home.

“Who are you?” she asked me the moment she saw me.

“Who am I!? I live here. The question is who are YOU and why do you have a key to my apartment,” I asked, confused and worried.

She was obviously puzzled. “Well, Michael gave it to me,” she said.

“Oh, did he?” I said, my voice unusually calm. “Because I—his WIFE—am back, and that is definitely news to me.”

“His wife!? But he told me he was single,” the woman whispered.

And just as she wanted to leave, I told her to stop and invited her to the kitchen where Michael was having his coffee.

I was about to learn what was really going on and what he was doing while I was gone.

When we stepped food in the kitchen, the woman looked at Michael and asked, “Who is this?”

Well, that’s Michael, my husband.

Michael was looking at both of us, surely aware something odd was going on.

At that moment, the woman took her phone out and showed a photo, saying, “This is Michael.”

Well, we finally learned what was really going on. The photo was of Nick, Michael’s brother who somehow always found himself in trouble.

Michael smiled, although deep down he was mad at his brother. “That’s why Nick was so interested about my work schedule during the last couple of months,” he said.

The three of us decided to teach Nick a lesson. So, Michael called him and told him we were waiting for him for dinner. “I’ll be there in 20,” he said.

But when he knocked on the door, it was the woman, who introduced herself as Sonya, who opened the door.

As expected, Nick knew he was busted.

When we asked him why he did what he did he said the dating expenses were too big nowadays and we were not around our apartment much anyways.

Well, Sonya decided to give him another chance as long as he didn’t lie to her ever again. As of my husband, he joked with Nick that he was paying our rent for the month, making his promise he won’t give our apartment key to anyone else.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s wife, Olena Zelenska, shares news on abducted children

Since the start of the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has become a widely discussed figure. His recent trip to Washington, D.C., which was dubbed a debacle by the media, placed him under the spotlight yet again. However, even though things have grown complicated of late for the Ukrainian leader, he has the support of his wife Olena Zelenska every step of the way.

Volodymyr and Olena have been together for many years, tying the knot on September 6, 2003. The couple have two children, Aleksandra and Kiril.

Olena Zelenska hasn’t been in the public eye as much as her husband, but she’s loved by her people.

The two first met while at university, where she was studying law. They didn’t start dating immediately as she was involved with someone else at the time, but over time, they understood they shared many interests together.

Zelenskyy, who became a comedian and rose to fame with the TV show Servant of the People, in which he played a high school teacher who became the president of the country, had Olena as a writer of the series. At the time, neither of them ever thought the series would later become a reality.

In fact, the show, which ran from 2015 to 2019, ended because Zelenskyy became the actual president of the country.

Mere months after becoming a First Lady, Olena addressed several issues, among which children’s health and reforms in school nutrition.

When the military conflict started in 2022, Olena and her children stayed in Ukraine.

“I will not have panic and tears,” Olena Zelenska wrote on Instagram at the time. “I will be calm and confident. My children are looking at me. I will be next to them. And next to my husband. And with you.”

However, as expected, the war affected their relationship. Olena and her husband were forbidden from seeing each other due to safety issues.

“But at least I can physically feel him next to me,” Zelenska said. “This isn’t normal. It’s not a normal relationship when children cannot see their father and have to talk to him on the phone. So our relationship is on pause just as it is for all Ukrainians.”

“We need to accumulate our strength, we need to save our energy,” she added.

Despite the was and their inability to be by each other’s side as much as they’d want to, the Ukrainian first lady shared with the Daily Mail that their relationship is as strong as ever.

“We’re never tired of each other, we never bore each other. And it makes the family stronger, too. It’s not a normal life for any person to live in a country at war. It’s a constant psychological burden and pressure. I hope when this pressure is relieved, with our victory, we will be able to stay sane and we’ll be fine. However, now I think that we are as close as ever emotionally,” Olena said.

She added: “And we understand each other very well. In fact, it is very important that you can respect your nearest and dearest. I am sure love is not enough. And I am happy that I can respect my husband because it would have been very hard to stay with him, even given huge love, if I hadn’t believed in his honesty.”

Olena Zelenska urged the world not to forget who started the war, asking their country to receive the much-needed support.

“Instead of stopping the aggressor and ensuring that he can never harm anyone again, discussions begin about some so-called mutually beneficial dialogue with him. This is a distortion of reality, a blurring of morality. And it is an extremely dangerous situation for everyone,” she said on the Italian political and news talk show Quarta Repubblica.

“We are not fighting for kilometers. We are fighting for our people in the occupied territories. These kilometers are their homes, their jobs, their schools, their familiar streets. These people have the right to live in their country without fear. We cannot leave them in danger.”

The Ukrainian government claimed that Russia has abducted over 19,000, and according to Olena, only 1,227 children have been returned.

“Unfortunately, this is not a mechanism that works consistently. That is why the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children was created – to ensure that such a mechanism exists and operates. Today, 41 countries are already part of this coalition,” she concluded.

The ‘world’s deadliest food’ claims over 200 lives every year, yet nearly 500 million people still eat it

When it comes to our diet, we should be mindful that the food we choose to consume affects our health and overall well-being. Opting for a balanced diet helps ensure our body gets all the necessary nutrients. Some foods, however, can be dangerous, such as cassava, which is labeled “world’s deadliest food.”

Cassava is a root vegetable rich in Vitamin C and copper. It is native to Central and South America, and is highly popular throughout the tropics. In fact, it is used the same way as the potato.

The top producing countries of this highly consumed vegetable are Nigeria, Thailand, and Indonesia.

It is believed that cassava is consumed by over 500 million people worldwide. However, if eaten raw, it can pose risks due to the harmful compounds it contains.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 200 people die due to consumption of cassava annually.

This led cassava to be dubbed “the world’s deadliest food.”

“Cassava tubers contain a varying quantity of cyanogenic glucosides which protect the root against attack by animals and insects. Appropriate processing before consumption can reduce cyanogenic glucoside content of cassava. When high cyanogenic cassava is not processed correctly, high dietary cyanide exposure occurs,” a research published by WHO states.”

“This often happens during times of famine and war. Cyanide in cassava is associated with acute cyanide poisoning and several diseases including konzo.

“Konzo is an irreversible spastic paraparesis of sudden onset, associated with the consumption of bitter cassava 22, 23 and a low protein intake. It is a disease of extreme poverty. Konzo mostly occurs in epidemics, but sporadic cases are also reported.”

If cooked and consumed properly and moderately – by soaking peeled cassava in water 24 hours before preparation, or by boiling it and drying it in the sun – cassava is a significant source of carbs, fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

With threat levels increasing for three US volcanoes, experts warn of potential eruptions

Scientists raise concerns over the increased threat levels for three US volcanoes, Alaska’s Great Sitkin and Mount Spurr, along with Hawaii’s Kilauea.

Following the seismic activity increase, the US Geological Survey (USGS) is keeping Alaska’s Great Sitkin volcano on a watch list, which is the third level on a four-tier warning system, due to it “exhibiting heightened or escalating unrest.” The volcano

This week, lava started erupting from the volcano’s summit and a few small earthquakes were felt in the past day.

Regarding Mount Spurr, which is located 75 miles west of Anchorage, scientists believe there is a 50-50 chance of eruption.

Hawaii’s Kilauea also erupted this week, marking it’s ninth episode since December 23. The latest eruption saw lava shooting 300 feet into the air within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Residential areas haven’t been affected, but still, authorities remain cautious of the the risks of ash clouds and volcanic glass.

There are 169 active volcanoes on the territory of The United States of America.

As per the Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO), the seismic activity is the result of presence of magma beneath the volcano. This is a sign that an eruption is imminent.

The factors experts monitor in order to predict any changes in the volcanos’ behavior include seismic activity, ground deformation, volcanic gasses, and thermal emissions.

Scientists mapped danger zones and communities around Great Sitkin, Mount Spurr, and Kilauea that are of greatest risk in case of an eruption. In Alaska, Great Sitkin poses a threat to the Aleutian Islands, with ash clouds possibly disrupting flights and covering nearby towns.

Mount Spurr could affect travel, power infrastructure, and air quality at Alaska’s largest city, Anchorage, while in Hawaii, Kilauea’s activity in Volcanoes National Park raises concerns about lava flows and hazardous gases forcing evacuations.

Residents should stay informed and alert of any potential eruptions.

The U.S. president didn’t hold back while responding to Canada’s new retaliatory tariffs, slapping an undermining title on his North American neighbor’s head of government.

Escalating Tariffs Spark a War of Words

Recently, President Donald Trump announced tariffs on imports from Canada, Mexico, and China, claiming they need to be “held accountable for illegal immigration and drug trafficking.” Canada got hit with a 25 percent tax on its exports to the U.S., plus a 10 percent tariff on energy products. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau fired back by slapping American imports with a matching 25 percent charge. While the trade standoff was enough to raise eyebrows, Trump calls Trudeau Governor to mock him on social media, hinting he sees the Canadian leader as more of a subordinate than a fellow head of state.

Ever since my father’s passing, I’ve been incredibly overwhelmed with the idea to have his company running. He had built Riverside Developments from the ground up and I felt the urge to keep his legacy alive. Sadly, along the way, I neglected what was even more important, my own family.

As I was pouring myself coffee in the morning, my son, Jordan, greeted me. “Mom, I’m going to school.” I greeted him back and offered him a lift, but he refused.

Jordan was unusually quiet during the past couple of weeks, but I was so busy with my work that I haven’t had the time to talk to him and ask him if there was something that bothered him.

Then, one day, although aware I was invading his privacy, I decided to check on his room.

As I was going through his things, I spotted diapers in my son’s backpack.

“Why would Jordan need diapers?” I couldn’t stop asking myself. He was just 15, no one in the family had a baby, and I wasn’t aware of any of his friends having one either. So, instead of confronting him about it, I decided to follow him the following morning.

Jordan headed to school, but then he turned towards an unknown street. At the end of that tiny street was an old house. I expected Jordan to knock on that door, but instead, he took a key out of his pocket and opened the door himself.

My son had a key to someone else’s house. What was going on?

I was curious to learn the truth, so I rang the doorbell.

At that moment, Jordan appeared at the door, holding a baby in his arms.

“Jordan, honey, what is going on? Whose baby is this?” And then, behind him stood a man.

It was Simon, a man in his 60s that I fired some three months ago. He was asking for too many days off and I had to let him go.

What I wasn’t aware of, however, was that his daughter, Lisa, left her baby to him and disappeared from their lives.

Jordan turned out to be aware of Simon’s condition. He felt sorry for Simon and believed me firing him was the reason why he was left without any income.

Jordan was helping him with money. He was also babysitting baby Aaron whenever Simon needed to work there and then.

At that moment, tears started running down my face. How could I sack a man who was left to care for his baby grandson all by himself. I should have known better than that.

But Jordan was there to step in and “cover” for my mistake. I was proud of the young man I raised.

I offered Simon his position in my late father’s company again, and I even started helping him. From that moment on, I became more interested in my employees. I was no longer just a company owner, but also their support and friend.

The diapers in my son’s backpack led to a revelation that made me a better person.

A month ago, they showed up out of nowhere, accompanied by a flashy lawyer. With zero compassion or even a simple “How are you holding up?” they demanded the keys. Their tone and sense of entitlement made my stomach churn. But I kept my cool. They had no clue I possessed a legal background. I quietly let them talk until they were done making threats, all the while thinking, “Wait until you read the letter Jason left for you.” After all, parents demanded house keys, but it wasn’t going to be that easy.

“He did leave you an inheritance,” I said, calmly sliding a sealed envelope across the table. Their eyes gleamed, smug and satisfied—until they read what Jason had to say. The letter revealed the harsh truth: in a legally binding document, he’d left them absolutely nothing. They’d abandoned him years ago, never showing up when he needed them most. And now, in death, he’d made sure they wouldn’t waltz in and take a single thing from the life he’d built. Their reaction was pure rage—heated demands to hand over the house, as if that letter had never existed.

My One Condition

Their fury only fueled my resolve. They might have wanted me to hand over the property by default, but I refused without fulfilling one condition: they had to read Jason’s note out loud, acknowledging his words in front of everyone. At that moment, parents demanded house keys once more, but the grief in their voices suggested they finally grasped how badly they’d hurt him. Still, I stood firm. This house meant more than bricks and a mortgage—it symbolized the love and commitment I shared with Jason in his final years.

Why I Walked Away

After they finished reading and sputtering angry retorts, I reminded them that the house legally belonged to me now. If they had known anything real about Jason—beyond chasing his money—they could’ve approached with empathy, not aggression. With that, I left them standing there, locked the door, and took a moment to breathe. Yes, parents demanded house keys, but compassion and support can’t be forced. If they’d loved him properly while he was alive, they wouldn’t have had to beg for anything after he was gone.
