Netflix viewers ‘sickened’ by new highly explicit series featuring extremely graphic scenes

Netflix viewers react to the series Supersex, raising the question about the boundaries of mainstream entertainment.

Many wrote they felt “sickened” by the explicit graphic scenes and threatened “to cancel their subscription.”

The series feature the life of Rocco Siffredi, an Italian adult film star who has filmed over 1,300 p*rn films over the course of his acting career. He’s played by Italian actor Alessandro Borghi.

Netflix

Supersex follows Rocco’s journey from a simple guy from Ortona, central Italy, to “the godfather of rough s*x.”

A scene from Rocco’s mother funeral, in which he engages in a se*ual act with one of his mother’s friends is dubbed one of the most controversial.

Viewers were quick to share their thoughts of the seven-episode Netflix series.

One wrote, “I watched Supersex, which was compelling and interesting — until midway through episode six. It was appalling, disrespectful, and uncalled for. I’m talking about the cemetery scene. Before this episode, I would have given it a thumbs up. So messed up.”

Netflix

Another added: “Yes, I know, complaining about too many sex scenes in Supersex is like complaining about too many car races in Fast & Furious. But also, a few less, eh.”

The main actor spoke of the series, calling it the “absolutely the most complicated thing I’ve ever made in my life” and revealed that he filmed a whopping 50 s*x scenes in just 95 days, as per the Italian news outlet Today.

Rocco, whose life the series features, opened up about the controversy it caused.

Asked if viewers would be shocked with it, he said, “For sure.

“I never, ever like to tell you one part of me, I always say everything.

“You either like it or you don’t, this is who I am; I could never be who I am without showing everything about myself.

“The part shown on Netflix, which people don’t know, is the way I grew up, the way my life came up since I was a child. How did I grow up? What were the situations involved in my life?

“So this is the main Rocco, really, which people don’t know, most people know me just in front of the camera, naked.”

Netflix

Netflix rated the series strictly for viewers aged 18 and over, but that didn’t prevent viewers from showing their discomfort and outrage over the content they dubbed “inappropriate.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Netflix tried to push boundaries regarding societal norms with films such as 365 Days, and Money Shot: The Po*nhub Story.

In a bustling district, a small plane crashed into a bus and exploded

Two people killed and at least six injured after a small plane, Beechcraft King Air F90, crashed into a moving bus in the busy district Barra Funda of São Paulo, Southern Brazil on Friday, February 7.

The plane and a public bus exploded on impact.

Pieces of the aircraft flew off as thick, dark plumes of smoke rose into the air.

The local fire department struggled to stop the flames from spreading. According to them, the tragic crash happened around 7:20 a.m. local time after the plane tried to perform an emergency landing five minutes after taking off from Campo de Marte Airport.

Emergency services found two bodies in the wreckage of the aircraft. A motorcyclist and a woman on the bus were injured by the flying debris, and four others suffered minor injuries. The rest of the people on the bus were taken out to safety.

According to reports, prior to the incident, the control tower lost contact with the plane.

Governor Tarcísio de Freitas posted on X that the two people who lost their lives were the pilot, Gustavo Medeiros, and the owner of the aircraft, Márcio Carpena.

Reuters

The plane’s final destination was Porto Alegre, located in the southern of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

The investigation regarding the circumstances that led to the crash is ongoing.

According to witnesses, the plane first clipped a tree before it crashed into the busy street where it collided with the moving bus.

ZUMAPRESS.com

As per Business News Today, an expert said the accident could be a result of technical issues, considering the pilot’s desperate attempt to force a landing. “When an aircraft loses power or suffers mechanical failure shortly after departure, the pilot’s options are limited. Urban environments like São Paulo make emergency landings even more hazardous,” the expert said, as per the publication.

Sadly, in recent years, Brazil witnessed several high-profile accidents. This raised the question of the safety of the country’s aviation, aircraft maintenance, pilot training, as well as regulatory oversight.

Wreckage of missing Alaska plane with 10 aboard finally located – Photo and details

A Berlin Air plane flying over the wilderness of Alaska vanished from radar with 10 people on board and failed to reach its final destination.

Following intensive search, the wreckage of the aircraft, a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, was finally located on sea ice on Friday afternoon (local time) in Alaska, US by a team of a US Coast Guard helicopter.

The plane was traveling from the small town of Unalakleet, western Alaska, to Nome, located south of the Arctic Circle at 2:37 p.m. The flight was supposed to last around an hour. However, while flying across Norton Sound, the plane lost contact at 5,300ft.

The coastguard posted on X, “USCG has ended its search for the missing plane after the aircraft was located approx 34 miles southeast of Nome. 3 individuals were found inside and reported to be deceased.

“The remaining 7 people are believed to be inside the aircraft but are currently inaccessible due to the condition of the plane. Our heartfelt condolences are with those affected by this tragic incident.”

USCG Lieutenant Commander Ben McIntyre-Coble said during Friday press-conference that the plane rapidly lost altitude and speed due to “some kind of event.” The exact cause that led to the crash remains unknown.”

“We are operating under the assumption right now that there are still people who are in a position to be assisted by the United States Coast Guard,” he said.

“We continue to have air assets overhead and are in close coordination with the with the local authorities, including the Alaska State Troopers, to provide potentially on-the-ice assistance to any persons who might be found.

“But at this time we are still considering that this is an active search and rescue case, and we have no immediate intentions to change the status of the case in the near term.”

Later, however, the US Coastguard said in a press release: “The Coast Guard determined the severity of the wreckage was beyond the possibility of survival.”

Sympathy poured in, including from Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy, who addressed the heartbreaking loss on social media.

“Rose and I are heartbroken by the loss of the 10 people on the Bering Air flight,” Dunleavy wrote on X. “Our prayers are with the families, friends, and communities mourning this tragedy.”

The Alaska plane crash follows after two major plane crashes in the last two weeks.

An American Airlines jet and a US Army Black helicopter collided mid-air, with everyone on board – 67 people – dead. The other crash involved a medical jet flying from the US to Mexico, carrying a mother and her daughter who had received life-saving medical treatment in the States, a doctor, a paramedic, and two pilots.

The first openly transgender politician in Congress didn’t hold back in responding to Trump’s controversial executive order

On his first day in office, President Donald Trump signed a number of executive orders, among which the one that states that the US government will only recognize two genders – male and female.

The order defines a female as a “a person belonging, at conception to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell,” while a male is a “person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell.”

As expected, this decision caused a stir among those fighting for the rights of the members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Among them, the first openly transgender person elected to Congress, Sarah McBride.

Andrew Harnik/Getty Images

The Delaware representative spoke at the HRC Greater New York Dinner on Monday, February 3, saying that LGBTQ+ people live “rent free in the minds” of the Republican leaders who are part of Trump’s administration.

“I enter Congress at a moment of uncertainty and fear for so many in our country – a time that will test our Constitution, our progress, and our own very compassion,” McBride started her speech.

“In less than two weeks at a time of domestic and global crisis – this new administration has diverted the resources of the federal government to target transgender people.

“From day one, they have taken steps to require the forced outing of transgender people with government documents and records.”

McBride then went on to discuss specific orders and policies.

“They’re infringing on parental rights by inserting government between patients, parents and providers in order to hurt trans young people.

“They’re purging patriotic transgender service members who have met the same standards as their colleagues, who have dedicated their lives to something that is antithetical to this president – selfless public service.”

She continued: “He’s deputised Republican politicians and appointees across the federal government to be bathroom police, banning transgender people from federal restrooms they were using without incident.

“As we say then, these bans open up all women to harassment and potentially gross and invasive inspections.”

The first transgender in Congress concluded that Trump’s administration uses transgender people as pawns, and she refuses to be one.

The Surprising Quirk That Might Cost Her

California Senator Kamala Harris speaks during a rally launching her presidential campaign on January 27, 2019 in Oakland, California. (Photo by NOAH BERGER / AFP) (Photo by NOAH BERGER/AFP via Getty Images)

The FCC has released the complete transcript and uncut footage of Kamala Harris’s “60 Minutes” interview, revealing that CBS simply used different excerpts for “Face the Nation” and “60 Minutes.” Though critics alleged the network doctored the clip to boost Harris, CBS insists it followed standard news practices in editing the interview, which covered the vice president’s remarks on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Undeterred, Donald Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the network, arguing that the shorter clip was overly favorable to Harris.

Meanwhile, social media users have been vocal about the newly unveiled footage. Some claim the full video shows a less polished side of Harris, while others see the controversy as proof that CBS was just doing its job. The network stands by its editorial judgment, noting it aired a more extensive clip on “Face the Nation” and a condensed version on “60 Minutes.” This comes as FCC Chairman Brendan Carr also probes NPR and PBS over alleged advertising rule violations, adding another layer to the media scrutiny.

I nearly spit out my coffee when I heard Kamala’s biggest weakness: She’s not great at making decisions in a snap. During a CNN town hall, Vice President Kamala Harris openly admitted she likes to do her homework first. Instead of leaping without looking, she’d rather mull things over, gather intel, and weigh every angle. Some critics roll their eyes at what they see as some type of hesitation, but she insists it’s what helps her avoid rash calls.

Not Just a Flaw, But a Strength Too?

Harris explained that she often leans on her advisors—maybe more than most politicians. While some might label that dependence as a leadership flaw, she says it just means she’s thorough. She’d rather hear multiple perspectives and piece them together, instead of acting solo. Opponents argue that in a crisis, speed matters. But Harris stands by her process, insisting that a measured approach yields better outcomes in the long run. Whether you call it Kamala’s biggest weakness or a hidden advantage depends on your perspective, I guess.

Why It Matters Right Now

A lot of people want immediate answers, especially in a political climate where bold moves and quick decisions often grab the spotlight. Experts say some voters turn to figures like Donald Trump for that very reason—he rarely hesitates to jump in headfirst. Meanwhile, Harris is confident that her deliberate style ensures fewer mistakes and more inclusivity. Honestly, I get it. Sometimes impulsive decisions come back to haunt you. Still, it’s no secret that Kamala’s biggest weakness has folks talking, especially if they’re in favor of a faster, more decisive style of leadership.

A Shocking Ban That Might Impact Your Next Flight

I just found out that Airline bans power banks in overhead bins after one of its planes was nearly destroyed by an in-flight fire. On January 28, South Korea’s Air Busan experienced a terrifying incident: a flight attendant detected flames erupting from a passenger’s overhead luggage bin shortly before takeoff. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the damage left the airline rethinking how to store portable chargers and other lithium battery devices.

Why the Ban Matters

According to Air Busan, there’s been a noticeable spike in overheating issues lately—a power bank can catch fire if it malfunctions or is packed incorrectly. Starting Friday, passengers will have their carry-ons inspected at the boarding gate, and if Airline bans power banks from being stowed overhead, that means travelers must keep them in personal possession. The idea is that if a battery starts heating up, smoke or sparks would be visible right away, making it easier for crew members to handle the situation before it spirals into something worse.

The Bigger Picture

Lithium batteries are everywhere—in phones, laptops, and yes, power banks. But they can also be ticking time bombs if they short-circuit. That’s why global standards already forbid them in checked luggage. Now, with this new policy, Airline bans power banks overhead while also boosting fire safety training and fire containment gear on board. South Korea’s also looking to revamp aviation safety after multiple major incidents in just a few months. The bottom line? Keep those portable chargers on you—and be prepared for extra scrutiny on your next flight.

Caitlyn Jenner’s reaction to Trump’s transgender policy marks a major shift from her earlier stance

In the past, Caitlyn Jenner has been very vocal against Donald Trump’s politics. This time, however, her reaction to the latest executive policy the president signed differs from her earlier stance on his approach to transgender rights.

Since Trump took office for his second terms, he signed a plethora of executive orders.

He signed an order concerning the country’s withdrawal of the Paris Agreement and the World Health Organization. Also, he imposed 25 percent import tariffs on Canada and Mexico, directed a review of military readiness and capabilities. He established male and female as the only ‘two genders’ recognized by the US government, and revoked The Equal Employment Opportunity Act, among the rest.

The most recent order he signed bans transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports.

This move also imposes threats of cutting federal funding for schools that allow trans women to compete in female sport categories.

As per the president, this transgender policy would be part of a “sweeping effort to reclaim our culture and our laws.” He added that any school that lets “men take over women’s sports teams or invade your locker rooms” will also be investigated.

“There will be no federal funding. So this will effectively end the attack on female athletes.” he said.

“We will defend the proud tradition of female athletes. From now on, women’s sports will be only for women. The war on women’s sports is over.”

The order was signed on Wednesday at the White House in the presence of female athletes.

Caitlyn Jenner, an Olympic medalist and a transgender woman, took to the social media to comment on Trump’s decision.

To the surprise of many, she supported the signing of the transgender policy.

“Another victory in the fight for protecting women’s sports! President Trump signs an Executive Order keeping biological men out of women’s sports!

@caitlynjenner/ Instagram

“As an Olympian, I will continue to fight this issue, lobbying sport governing body’s all over the world to follow our lead!”

Back in 2018, Jenner penned a column in the Washington Post, writing that she was wrong for supporting Trump as she felt like he was using the trans community as “political pawns.”

A year prior, when Trump overturned guidance allowing transgender students to use school toilets matching their gender identity, Jenner told BBC, “It doesn’t make me regret my vote yet, but it is very disappointing and I have been very verbal about that.”

I Never Imagined It Would Be This Gruesome

I was stunned to learn about the horrifying conditions rescue teams face while recovering DC plane crash victims from the icy Potomac River. After an Army helicopter collided with an American Airlines jet on January 29, both aircraft went down, killing all 67 people aboard. Now, divers and emergency crews are working around the clock to bring the deceased home to their families—but the environment is far from forgiving.

Chilling Waters and Harsh Realities

Emergency response units search the crash site of the American Airlines plane on the Potomac River (Win McNamee/Getty Images)

At the time of writing, 55 out of 67 bodies have been recovered. It’s so cold out there that one diver was rushed to the hospital for a “hypothermia situation.” Thankfully, he’s doing fine now, but the frigid water and floating ice make every dive a gamble. One rescue expert explained that there’s “not a lot of time to locate any survivors” in these bitter temperatures, and the gear doesn’t make it any easier. No wonder so many crew members describe being “emotionally wiped out” from the horrors they’ve seen underwater.

Haunting Clarity

Several firefighters said the water’s surprisingly clear, letting them see just how devastating the wreck truly is. One described the scene as “horrible,” especially when they’re using flashlights to scan the submerged fuselage. Day by day, salvage teams map the site and plan their next steps to ensure every last body is found. This isn’t an easy mission, but it must be done. The DC plane crash victims deserve closure, and their loved ones need answers as soon as possible.

Searching for the Truth

There’s still plenty of uncertainty about what happened to spark this fatal collision. Investigators are banking on the aircraft black boxes to reveal the final moments before impact. One Army aviation adviser said these devices hold “the only truth,” and we’ll have to wait until experts extract and analyze the data. In the meantime, rescue workers remain in harm’s way, doing everything they can to honor the DC plane crash victims and return them to those who loved them.

Realizing Something Was Off: How One Man’s Work Habits Led to a Surprising Diagnosis

I first came across this story of a 49-year-old man with dementia recognized the problem from a slight shift in his work ethic, and it stopped me in my tracks. Imagine being in your late 40s, expecting life to go one way, only to discover you have frontotemporal dementia (FTD). That’s exactly what happened to Peter Alexander, who initially had no idea his difficulties at work were linked to something so life-changing.

A Surprising Change on the Job

Source: Freepik

Peter’s first sign was a lingering feeling that things weren’t quite right at work. In his own words, deadlines started slipping, and during meetings, he’d blank on words—small issues that led this 49-year-old man with dementia recognized the problem from a slight shift in his work ethic to see a doctor. It turned out his challenges went beyond mere forgetfulness. He was dealing with a specific form of dementia that also recently impacted Wendy Williams and Bruce Willis: FTD.

Understanding Frontotemporal Dementia

According to the Mayo Clinic, frontotemporal dementia is an umbrella term for brain diseases that affect the frontal and temporal lobes. These areas are deeply tied to our behavior, language, and personality. People with FTD might become impulsive, socially inappropriate, or suddenly have trouble with speech. For Peter, though, a simple stumble in his usual work performance was enough to set off alarm bells.

Coming to Terms with a Tough Reality

When Peter finally got the results, he remembered the date clearly: January 14, 2018. That was the day a neurologist confirmed his FTD diagnosis. Because of safety concerns and his diminishing judgment, he had to leave his job. Sadly, that’s the harsh truth for this 49-year-old man with dementia recognized the problem from a slight shift in his work ethic—his life turned upside down. Yet he wants people to look beyond the condition and still see him for who he is.

“Inside, I’m Still Peter”

Peter says people often reduce dementia to just “forgetting things.” But FTD can show up in different ways—like losing your filter or having trouble with words. Even though he’s 56 now, he insists he hasn’t changed internally. He may not express himself the same way he once did, but he’s still Peter. That’s the real lesson here: while a 49-year-old man with dementia recognized the problem from a slight shift in his work ethic, his identity, personality, and heart remain.

Heart-wrenching words of a father who learns his baby had died after being left inside hot vehicle

Baby left inside a vehicle for an extended period of time during a hot day in Sydney, Australia has sadly passed away.

One-year-old Olivia Ancelet was left inside the car by her father, who believed he had dropped his baby daughter off to daycare.

The temperatures reached 86°F, and Etienne Ancelet, Olivia’s father, only learned of the fatal mistake when he went to the daycare center to pick her up at around 5:35 p.m. local time.

He was told he hadn’t even dropped her that day.

He realized his baby was inside the hot vehicle, but sadly, the damage was done.

Baby Olivia was gone.

Emergency services were called at the daycare Jelly Beings Early Learning Centre in Earlwood, a suburb of Sydney, but there was nothing to be done. Olivia was unresponsive and was pronounced dead.

Ancelet and the girl’s mother, Kim Visconti, shared a joint statement in which they called Olivia “the light of our lives,” and “sweet and beautiful baby,” as per news.com.au.

“We are humbled and grateful for the time we had her. We are devastated by what has unfolded,” they said. The grieving parents added that they don’t wish any parent to experience such a loss.

“She was just floppy. I didn’t sleep much last night, just because I could see the little baby’s face all night, but it’s just something you do.”

Superintendent Christine McDonald of New South Wales Police said during a press conference: “Leaving a child in a vehicle at any time can be dangerous. Leaving a child inside a vehicle for an extended period of time can be deadly.

After being in space for so long, stranded NASA astronaut makes concerning admission about one thing she can no longer do

Astronaut Sunita Williams was only supposed to spend eight days in space, and today, nearly eight months later, she and fellow astronaut Barry ‘Butch’ Wilmore are still stranded in space.

The two NASA astronauts headed towards the International Space Station on June 5, 2024. However, due to helium leaks and other malfunctions of the Boeing Starliner capsule, the pair wasn’t able to return back to Earth.

While the capsule returned home empty, it left NASA struggling to find a way to get Williams and Wilmore back.

ISS (NASA)

The date of their possible journey home has been rescheduled several times during the past months, and according to the ISS, it is not expected to take place until late March.

President Donald Trump accused Biden’s administration for abandoning the two astronauts and called Elon Musk and SpaceX to “go get them.”

“Elon will soon be on his way. Hopefully, all will be safe,” Trump said. “Good luck Elon!!!”

Musk took to X to answer that he will do so.

NASA decided that Starliner was unfit to return Williams and Wilmore home and tasked SpaceX to do the job instead. In fact, the SpaceX’s Crew-9 capsule is docked on the ISS. In late March, it is expected the Crew-10 capsule to be launched to the ISS before Crew-9 can leave it.

Recently, astronaut Williams was interviewed by the students at Needham High School, the same school she graduated from back in 1983.

Answering a question from the ISS, she explained that microgravity felt like she was swimming or flying.

“I’ve been up here long enough right now I’ve been trying to remember what it’s like to walk. I haven’t walked. I haven’t sat down.” Williams added: I haven’t laid down. You don’t have to. You can just close your eyes and float where you are right here.”

Further, she added that she and fellow astronaut Wilmore did expect their space trip to be longer that the planned eight days, but they didn’t believe it would take this long.

“It was a little bit of a shock, actually,” she shared with the students. “We knew that it would be probably a month or so, honestly. But the extended stay was just a little bit different.”

Williams is glad she gets to share her experience with everyone on Earth, but naturally, she’s eager to return home.

“My mother’s getting a little bit older, so in that regard, I just try to stay in touch with them and those guys as much as possible,” she said. “I think I talk to my mom practically every day. Just check in with her and call her and see how she’s doing. So it’s just a little bit different relationship than we had potentially planned on for the last couple of months. But we’re managing.”

Back in November, Williams addressed the rumors that she has lost significant amount of weight, telling New England Sports Network Clubhouse that she weights as she did when she embarked on the space trip, explaining that she and Wilmore have a treadmill and weightlifting equipment.

5 warning signs of stroke in young adults

In recent years, the rise in stroke cases among young adults has made it crucial to recognize its common symptoms. Many believe that strokes are only common at the older adults, but that’s not the case.

Certain factors that contribute to this condition at the young population include unhealthy lifestyle, chronic stress, recreational drug use, birth control pills that include estrogen, as well as increasing prevalence of conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.

The American Heart Association reports that the number of strokes at young adults have increased 40 percent in recent years. In fact, around 10-15 percent of strokes affect people aged 18 to 45.

“While the medical community has made significant improvements to reduce the severity and complications of strokes with early interventions, these efforts are of limited value if patients do not recognize stroke symptoms,” Dr. Khurram Nasir, chief of the division of cardiovascular prevention and wellness at Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center in Texas, said.

“Time is critical for treating stroke. The earlier people recognize symptoms, the better their chances are to reduce long-term disability from stroke,”he added.

A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is blocked or disrupted.

Strokes can cause brain damage and death. In fact, stroke is the leading cause of disability worldwide.

Some symptoms of stroke at young adults include:

1. Sudden weakness or numbness on one side of the body: weakness, numbness, or tingling, especially on one side of the body (face, arm, or leg) can be a sign of clogged blood arteries or brain hemorrhage.

2. Difficulty speaking or understanding speech: slurred speech, or trouble formulating words is a common sign of someone experiencing a stroke.

3. An abrupt, intense headache: a severe headache that comes abruptly may be seen as a sign of stoke.

4. Dizziness and loss of balance: sudden difficulty walking and lack of coordination may refer to an impact of the cerebellum, the part of the brain that coordinates balance, movement, and posture.

5. Vision issues: blurred vision, double vision, loss of vision in one eye, and sensitivity to light can also be a symptom of stroke in young adults.

If you or someone you know exhibits any of the main symptoms of a stroke, seek medical help right away.

Man dies months after discovering that this warning sign was actually cancer

Jenny Mosley of Southampton lost her brother Ade due to oesophageal cancer in October 2018, just six months after the diagnosis. Years later, she noticed the same warning sign that her brother experienced prior to the diagnosis at her husband, Dave. Eventually, that led to saving Dave’s life.

Namely, Ade, who was 53 at the time of his passing, had been experiencing heartburn for quite some time. He, however, didn’t seek medical treatment and used over-the counter antacids to relive the symptoms.

He worked as an electrician overseas for some time, and when he returned to England, he didn’t even have a UK general practitioner.

After running tests for his heartburn, doctors discovered Ade had oesophageal cancer, which affects the food pipe. Sadly, despite receiving treatment right away, he passed away six months later.

Speaking of her brother, Jenny said, “It was heartbreaking to see him suffer.

“He was so brave, even when the treatment took such a heavy toll. We wish we had known more, sooner.

“Ade was always the life of the party.

“He was so full of energy and enthusiasm that it was hard to believe something so serious could be going on beneath the surface.”

Following her brother’s passing, Jenny urged her husband get help for the heartburn and test for the same type of cancer Ade was diagnosed with.

Ade/ Heartburn Cancer UK / SWNS

Dave registered for inventive capsule sponge test prototype with Heartburn Cancer UK and Cyted.

During the procedure, a swallowed capsule dissolves in the stomach releasing a sponge to collect oesophageal cells that are later examined.

The test results revealed Dave had Barrett’s oesophagus, which can turn into oesophageal cancer if not treated.

Dave started receiving treatment and doctors monitor his condition.

“It’s such a relief to know Dave is being monitored closely. We’ve made lifestyle changes together, and we’re more aware of the importance of staying on top of his health. Ade would be delighted to know that he has helped Dave. He would have been happy that, at least, something positive came out of all his suffering,” Jenny said. She added that Dave have been experiencing heartburn, which turned out to be a warning sign, for over eight years.

Fiona Labrooy, Heartburn Cancer UK’s Chief Operating Officer, spoke of the importance of not ignoring heartburn. “In our day-to-day work, we too often hear of the missed opportunities when people die or get very sick because they’ve ignored persistent heartburn or self-medicate for too long. And it’s always devastating,” she said.

The reason married couples in Japan choose to sleep in separate beds

Sharing a bed is just one of the marital blisses couples enjoy. However, this isn’t a common practice in the country of Japan.

Not only do Japanese couples, or at least a great number of them, choose to sleep in separate beds and even rooms, but it is a tradition deeply rooted in their culture.

While other cultures may find this practice odd, in Japan it has been around for centuries.

The reasons for this are many, and one of them is avoiding disturbing the partner’s sleep with certain sleep-related issues such as snoring, relentless, frequent bathroom use during the night, and even different sleeping schedules among the rest.

Further, in Japan, people value personal space, and married couples sleeping in separate beds reflects this cultural norm of respecting personal boundaries.

That a good night’s sleep is crucial for our mental and physical well-being is common knowledge. Therefore, considering that Japanese people work long hours, it is essential for them to sleep well and get a good night rest in order to be able to be efficient and get through the day.

Further, certain studies show that sleeping separately through the night leads to deeper and more meaningful connections between the couples during the day.

While many believe that the practice of sleeping separately can lead to conflicts in the relationship between the partners, studies suggest just the opposite. By respecting each other’s personal space and habits, married couples in Japan can focus on spending a quality time together rather than being left frustrated by their partner’s sleeping habits.

This also leads to the partners experiencing freedom, independence, and autonomy withing the marriage.

Of course, despite this being a cultural thing, some married couples in Japan choose not to follow this “tradition.” At the end of the day, it depends on the couple and their likes and dislikes within their union.

Scientists find a ‘kill switch’ in the body that can destroy cancer cells

In the fight against cancer, every breakthrough brings hope to millions people affected by this devastating disease.

Now, the scientists at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center in Sacramento, California presented a new promising route to treatment of cancer. Namely, they detailed the results of their study in a publication of the Cell Death & Differentiation journal.

The findings show that CD95 receptors, known as Fas, or “death receptors,” send a signal that causes cancer cells to “self-destruct.”

“Previous efforts to target this receptor have been unsuccessful. But now that we’ve identified this epitope (target), there could be a therapeutic path forward to target Fas in tumors,” Jogender Tushir-Singh, a senior author of the study and associate professor in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, stated in the release.

These CD95 receptors are located on the cell surface. Upon activation, they trigger a series of molecular processes that result in cell destruction. They play a crucial role in maintaining a cellular balance but scientists hadn’t explored their full potential until recently.

One of the biggest challenges in the fight against cancer is the therapeutic resistance, meaning the cells develop resistance to conventional treatments.

At the time being, the conventional treatments include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.

Additionally, immune-based therapies have been also used in the fight against this disease, such as CAR (chimeric antigen receptor) T-cell therapy, but their effectiveness is limited to only certain types of cancer.

“Despite being decently successful in liquid tumors, such as leukemia spectrum cancers, long-term remission remains the biggest challenge for CAR T-cell therapies,” Tushir-Singh shared with Fox News.

The study revealed that there are now hopes “and potential solution to transform the meager success of CAR-T therapies into potentially successful [therapies for] solid tumors,” not only in treating leukemia.

The discovery of the Fas epitope could eliminate cell evasion by triggering programmed cell death. So, targeting Fas in cancer therapy will not only help overcome therapeutic resistance, but also show potential for enhancing the effectiveness of current immunotherapies.

“It is evident that the success of CAR-T therapy relies on off-target killing by Fas,” Tushir-Singh told Fox News Digital.

Further, he added: “With the current information, we researchers and doctors should screen potential cancer patients — who would be undergoing CAR-T therapy — to check for the comprehensive presence of Fas on their tumors.”

Teenager vaping the equivalent of 50 cigarettes a day receives shocking diagnosis after coughing up ‘pints’ of blood

Wanting to fit in with his group of friends, Jayden Richardson, now 17, started vaping at the age of just 12. His vaping was excessive, as he’s been consuming the equivalent of 50 cigarettes a day.

His habit took its toll after he started coughing up ‘pints’ of blood on the last day of his holiday in Turkey, where he was together with his family.

Once they returned home, Jayden was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Considering the symptoms, doctors assumed he was suffering from a stomach ulcer, his mother, Elita, said.

She believed the her son developed the condition due to his eating habits, particularly the greasy food and the kebabs he had every day while on holiday. But she couldn’t be more wrong.

Kennedy News and Media

After undergoing endoscopy, doctors determined the blood he was coughing was a result of severe lung damage due to his habit of vaping.

Doctors advised him to never use e-cigarettes again, and Jayden was more than determined to break the bad habit. But the promise he had given to himself was only kept until his birthday in January when he reached to the vape yet again.

Sadly, this was a very “stupid” thing to do as the symptoms returned.

Kennedy News and Media

At the time being, Jayden is awaiting a CT scan. He hopes that the ban of disposable vapes in June 2025 would add to his efforts to never vape again.

Jayden shared his story, saying, “I was terrified. I never thought vaping could cause all this.

“It started off in Turkey. The night before I had a bit of chest pain but didn’t really think much of it whatsoever. I woke up the next morning, had a quick go on my vape and just as if I had a bit of a chesty cough.

Jayden added: “I went to cough a few times and it felt a bit phlegmy so I went to spit it out. I saw that it was blood and this put me in shock. I didn’t know what to do myself.”

He alerted his mom, who was having breakfast at the time, but once she got to him, it wasn’t really bad.

Kennedy News and Media

Later, he went to the pool and had a drink. All of a sudden, he started coughing blood again.

“If I could go back to that moment when I first started [vaping] I’d tell myself ‘never to touch one of them’,” the teen explained. “It’s crazy how dangerous they are and what they can actually do to the human body. You don’t realise it when you do it. It just affects you in the long run. I would never touch one.”

5-year-old boy dies during treatment after hyperbaric chamber explodes

A five-year-old Michigan boy died in a bizarre, tragic incident during receiving treatment when the hyperbaric chamber exploded.

The tragedy happened at The Oxford Center in Troy, Michigan, on January 31, somewhere before 8 a.m. local time.

The law firm representing the family has identified the victim as Thomas Cooper.

When officers and firefighters arrived at the center, they found young Thomas inside the chamber dead.

Lt. Keith Young of the Detroit Fire Department said the hyperbaric chamber contained 100% oxygen, making it extremely flammable.

“Upon arrival, the first responding units unfortunately discovered a 5-year-old boy deceased on the scene,” Lt. Ben Hancock of the Troy Police Department said at a press conference.

GoFundMe

At the time of the explosion, Thomas’ mother was standing near the hyperbaric chamber. She sustained injuries to her arm.

At the time being, an investigation regarding the reasons that led the hyperbaric chamber to explode is ongoing.

James Harrington, managing partner of Fieger Law, the law firm representing the family, released a statement regarding the tragedy, calling it unimaginable.

“We ask that the public and media respect the family’s privacy at this time. We are investigating every aspect of this matter and will report our findings in due time. The safety of children should always be the top priority, and this incident raises serious concerns about hyperbaric chambers and the oversight and regulation of hyperbaric treatments,” the statement read.

A GoFundMe page started to help Thomas’ family said “His family loved him very much.”

GoFundMe

Annie Cooper, who organized the fundraiser said, “He was a smart, intelligent boy and his parents loved him how he was. He was perfect in every way. He was the best, best boy there ever was.

Further, Annie said, “He asked to see pictures of germs, liked to know how things worked, he liked to make field journals and he had finally started adding facial features to his people drawings.”

According to his family, “Thomas loved life.”

At the moment, it is still not known what caused the explosion or what kind of treatment the boy was getting.

The website of The Oxford Center, however, states it provides therapy for children with autism, cancer, ADHD, autoimmune diseases, and multiple others.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the grieving family.

Flight data shows the American Airlines pilots made a desperate attempt to prevent the crash and save all on board

The pilots flying the American Airlines Flight 5342 that collided mid-air with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter on January 29, made a heroic attempt to save everyone on board, new data shows.

The jet carried 64 passengers, and the helicopter was carrying three soldiers who retraining the president’s emergency evacuation route, which is a part of a contingency plan for the continuity of government.

At the time of the accident, the plane was approaching Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in an attempt to land.

Unfortunately, there are no survivors.

Rescue teams have not recovered all of the bodies up to this point.

Co-pilot Sam Lilley/ Facebook

Data from the plane’s black box revealed that the pilots, 34-year-old Campos, and his 28-year-old co-pilot Lilley, made a desperate final attempt to pull the plane up seconds before the crash.

“At one point very close to the impact, there was a slight change in pitch, an increase in pitch,” Todd Inman, an official of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), said during a press conference on February 1.

Further, Inman said that they don’t have the data from the helicopter, but “obviously an impact occurred, and I would say when an impact occurs, that is typically where the altitude of both aircraft were at the moment.”

Pilot Jonathan Campos/ Facebook

Preliminary data from the plane’s black box showed conflicting readings about the altitudes of both aircraft.

When hit over the Potomac River, the American Airlines plane was flying at an altitude of 325 feet, with a 25ft margin of error on either side.

On the other hand, data provided by the control tower showed that the Black Hawk was flying at an altitude of about 200ft, which is he maximum of what a helicopter can safely operate at in the area.

Hopefully, they would be able to reconcile the differences in the altitude once they get to the data of the helicopter’s black box which was retrieved but waterlogged.

I Never Expected Such a Harsh Outcome

I was completely floored when I first read about this Man who burned his thumb loses both legs story. Seriously—how does a minor cooking mishap spiral into something so devastating? Max Armstrong, 40, was just out in the woods of Kiowa, Colorado, enjoying a camping trip. Next thing he knew, a week later, he woke up from a coma with no legs.

A Simple Burn Becomes a Major Crisis

Max said it all started when he grabbed a hot skillet the wrong way while making pasta. He felt the searing pain but shrugged it off—just another scrape or burn from an active, outdoor life. He treated the burn, then went back to camping. A few days later, though, one leg began swelling. He brushed that off too, thinking maybe he’d twisted an ankle at some point. Turns out, the infection creeping through his thumb was way more serious than he imagined.

Shocking Discoveries at the Hospital

By December 7, his toenails turned purple, and the swelling got much worse. At the hospital, doctors were stunned to see the blackened burn on his thumb—it had become severely infected with strep. Before anyone fully realized what was going on, it led to strep sepsis. Max ended up in a coma for six days. When he finally woke on December 13, doctors told his loved ones he might not make it. It was a near-fatal ordeal.

Man Who Burned His Thumb Loses Both Legs in Surgery

The moment Max realized both of his feet had turned completely black was heartbreaking. He learned they had to amputate both legs on December 23 to save his life, because the infection had already spread too far. He spent a month in the hospital, then another 16 days in rehab. Now, he’s leaning on a wheelchair and focusing on exercises that build arm and shoulder strength—he calls them his “lifeline.” Unfortunately, this man who burned his thumb loses both legs in such a bizarre, tragic twist of fate.

On the Road to Recovery

Max says the emotional toll is just as intense as the physical one. He woke up expecting his legs to be there, only to realize they were gone. Yet, he’s determined to bounce back. Friends and family have rallied behind him, even setting up a GoFundMe to help with medical costs. It’s a stark reminder that life can change in an instant—even when you think you’re dealing with a minor injury.

I’m Still Reeling From This New Hollywood Bombshell

I honestly did a double take when I saw the headline: Musk Shocks Hollywood by dropping alleged evidence tying Sean “Diddy” Combs to some of the biggest movers and shakers in entertainment. It’s not every day you see such bold claims—especially from a tech mogul more known for rockets than red carpets. But here we are, sifting through a whirlwind of leaked photos and whispered rumors that might just reveal how deep Diddy’s connections really go.

Surprising Snapshots and Silent Celebs

Source: Wikipedia

What really threw me were these so-called “leaked” pictures making the rounds online. Apparently, they show Diddy hanging out in private settings with A-list stars. Some folks say it’s nothing unusual—celebrities mingle, end of story. But the chatter around these snapshots suggests something more. Could there be hush-hush partnerships or behind-the-scenes alliances that no one wanted us to see? You can bet fans are dissecting every pixel. So far, many of the celebs rumored to appear haven’t said a peep, which only stirs the pot. No wonder Musk Shocks Hollywood in such a big way.

The Curiosity Behind Musk’s Move

Source: Wikipedia

Of course, there’s also the question of why Elon Musk decided to pull back the curtain on this scene. He’s known for stirring up drama—sometimes in business, sometimes in politics. Now he’s shining a spotlight on star-studded secrets? Maybe he’s just intrigued by the “hidden layers” of fame. Or he could be testing the boundaries of what fans and insiders will tolerate. Whatever the reason, one thing’s certain: Musk Shocks Hollywood at a time when many people thought they’d seen it all.

Tinseltown’s Next Chapter

Source: Wikipedia

Personally, I’m bracing myself for more fallout. If these leaks spark real tension among the elite, we could see some unexpected alliances crumble—or brand-new feuds ignite. Social media is on fire with theories and finger-pointing, and it’s only been a few days since the story first broke. Will Diddy break his silence? Will other stars be forced to come clean about their ties? All I know is that Musk Shocks Hollywood might become the headline for weeks to come, and I’m totally here for it.

The black box and flight recorder from the crashed DC helicopter and plane provide crucial altitude data that may help explain the incident

The crash between the American Airlines plane and the US Army Black Hawk helicopter is one of the deadliest US air collisions in recent years. Sadly, all of the people onboard the jet and the helicopter presumed dead.

The jet carried 64 people while the Black Hawk had three members of the military onboard at the time of the tragedy.

Daily Mail reports that the National Transportation Safety Board revealed that flight data recorder and black box from the DC aircraft crash contain altitude readings that could shed light on the cause of the accident.

The American Airlines Flight 5342 was cruising at about 325ft, with a 25ft margin of error on either side. Data from the control tower showed that the Black Hawk was flying at an altitude of about 200ft.

Petty Officer 1st Class Brandon Giles/U.S. Coast Guard/AP

Experts have yet to explain the approximate 100-foot difference in altitude readings. However, if the crash happened at the altitude the plane was reported to be at, the collision happened at an altitude above the maximum of what a helicopter can safely operate at in the area.

At the time being, investigators are trying to retrieve data from the helicopter’s black box, which became waterlogged after submerging into icy waters of the Potomac River.

Hopefully, they would be able to reconcile the differences in the altitude.

AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana

Speaking of the ongoing investigation, Brice Banning, NTSB investigator in charge, said, “This is a complex investigation. There are a lot of pieces here. Our team is working hard to gather this data.”

Further, he added the jet’s black boxes revealed the crew having a verbal reaction. As the plane started to increase its pitch, “sounds of impact were audible about one second later, followed by the end of the recording,” Banning added.

President Trump gave his insight into the collision. He said that the helicopter was flying “too high,” and “far above its 200 foot limit.” He added: “That’s not really too complicated to understand, is it???”
