Girl Born With Silver Eyes Finally Has Family That Loves Her

This is the story of Primrose, the little girl that will steal your heart.

The lovely baby girl was born in China, with a condition known as congenital glaucoma. Unfortunately, it wasn’t treated during the first few years of her life and it resulted in turning her eyes completely silver and unable to see.

Primrose experiences hearing problems as well. That was apparently enough trouble for her mother to decide to leave her at an orphanage and never look for her again.

This cute little girl didn’t have it easy.

The staff from the orphanage, just like Primrose mom, weren’t willing to spend some additional time with her and teach her the basics that could help her become at least a bit independent. She couldn’t even keep her head straight.

It’s so devastating to learn that a child this young has never felt what it means to be loved and cared for. Luckily, this is about to change. Primrose’s life is about to take a completely new turn thanks to the special family of four that was willing to open the doors of their home to this beautiful girl.

Eryn and Chris first learned about Primrose from Facebook. The moment they laid eyes on Primrose’s picture something told them they had to have her.

The Austins flew across the globe to adopt lovely Primrose.

Although they were facing certain financial difficulties, Eryn and Chris never let go of the idea of giving this child a second chance for a better life. They only feared for her health condition and wondered whether she would be able to endure the flight back home. They soon realized the sky was the limit for the brave Primrose who made it home safe and sound.

Primrose’s presence in the life of her new family made an impact they could never imagine.

This is what the new mommy wrote about her daughter:

“These are mama eyes that only shut for 4 hours last night. And hands that held and patted a baby’s back for 45 minutes straight just to constantly remind her ‘Someone is here.’ A heart that is sure she is screwing up somehow at least 1,000,000 times a day. A head full of questions, anxiety, and fear. She is a mess. A total mess. And life is flipped on its very head because…

“This is a baby who, just 38 days ago, didn’t know the comfort of being held most of the day. She didn’t know that someone would come to her when she called out in her sweet baby language. She didn’t know that she could eat from a bottle without breathing the liquid straight into her tiny lungs. She had no idea that a big sister could cuddle you better than anyone and a big brother could tickle you into fits of giggles.”

“This is a baby who, just 38 days ago, got a mama and a daddy. Whom she cannot see or fully hear. Whom she doesn’t totally understand. Who took her away from everything she knew, however bleak that reality was, and planted her straight in the middle of a crazy whirlwind of a family. A mama and daddy who watched her fight for her life, who wept tears over her feverish body, who fought through third world hospitals and pretended to be brave – because… that’s what mamas and daddies do. Primrose’s takes things one step at a time.

She has a lot to learn, but the important thing of all is that she is happy and eager to grab what life has to offer. She now knows that there are people around her she can trust and rely on whenever she feels down.

Things have been challenging both for Primrose and her new family, but their love for each other broke down all the barriers.

It’s amazing what this family did for a girl who had endured so much during her short life. Thanks to their kind hearts, Primrose will only know of love, kindness, and devotion in the years that follow.

Dog farts in his sleep, cat’s reaction to the sound has the Internet cracking up

Cats and dogs don’t really get along. It looks like it’s in their nature to dislike each other, so when you see both a canine and a feline in the same room, you know that speaks trouble.

Now imagine owning the two. Well, I guess those people really have a lot on their plate constantly trying to keep an eye on their furry friends and making sure they don’t get into a fight.

One owner was looking at how peacefully his cat and dog were lying on the bed and decided to film the lovely sight when something unexpected happened. Boy, we are so glad he caught the ‘incident’ on tape.

At one moment, the tired dog closed his eyes and tried taking a nap when suddenly, he let a fart out. The cat got really surprised by the loud and pretty annoying sound and she just couldn’t ignore it.

Making sure the dog knows she hates his loud farting, the cat gave him ‘the look.’ But as though it wasn’t enough warning, she went a step further and took matters in her own hands.

She gave the poor animal two quick punches on the head. Unaware what was going on, the dog opened his eyes trying to understand why his kitty friend hit him. But she was just deeply offended by his careless behavior and wanted to teach him some manners.

We guess next time he decides to let a fart, he’ll first check whether or not somebody is behind him.

Man Forgives Stranger After Tragedy

Unfortunately, many individuals are forced to live with the pain of the loss of a loved one. That burden is hard to carry, and the sad reality is that people don’t know how to get rid of it, or sometimes, they don’t even want to, believing that grieving is now simply part of their existence.

As soon as they realize that forgiveness is the only way out of the confusing and endless maze of self-reproach or blaming others for the tough times they face, they can feel relieved. Being able to forgive means allowing yourself to grow and experience happiness once again. Because when we hold on to anger and resentment that only harms us further.

The following story is both deeply touching and an eye-opening experience of how forgiveness breaks the barrier to freeing the soul.

In a tragic car accident, one man lost it all. His wife and the unborn baby were killed, but this pastor gathered the strength to forgive the man behind the wheel.

Matt Swatzell called the day off after spending long and tiring 24 hours on his job as a firefighter paramedic. As he was driving along the roads of Dacula, Georgia, his car crashed in another vehicle in which there was a young pregnant mother of a 19-month old daughter.

Matt recalled the horrifying incident as he told Today:

“I can still see it. I can still smell it. The horrendous noise and the glass breaking.”

Unfortunately, the mother and her unborn baby were both dead.

The devastating news broke down Erik Fitzgerald, the husband and the father of the victims. The only thing that provided comfort for the grieving man was that his girl was not harmed by the accident.

Seeing his baby girl is something Erik will never forget.

“She crawled into my lap and then she just went to sleep. And I was thankful because I didn’t have to pretend that everything was okay.”

Erik was offered to pursue the maximum sentence against Matt. But he knew that putting Matt behind bars away from his family wouldn’t bring his back. The damage was done, and Erik opted to pardon Matt for what he did. He knew he was sorry and never meant to hurt anyone.

Erik had this beautiful insight to share with Today show host Hoda Kotb:

“I remembered somebody said this in a sermon — in moments where tragedy happens or even hurt, there’s opportunities to demonstrate grace or to exact vengeance,” he said. “Here was an opportunity where I could do that. And I chose to demonstrate grace.”

Pardoned for his actions, Matt was sentenced to community service and a fine.

Sometimes, God works in strange ways, and this time He wanted for Matt and Erik to cross each other’s paths again. Two years after the incident, the two met at a parking lot of the store where Matt was buying a condolence card for Erik.

Now, Matt and Erik meet regularly, and Matt even bonded with then 19-moth-old Faith as well as Erik’s children from his new marriage.

Boy Learns Truth After Discovering Baby Under Christmas Tree

Sharing the house and the parents with a sibling can be difficult for many young kids. Everyone wants to be mommy and daddy’s favorite child so being jealous at each other is something we understand pretty well. However, these silly misunderstandings are left behind once the siblings get into adulthood.

However, there are also those who simply love being around a brother or a sister during their childhood and make lovely memories that will last for a lifetime. That’s the case with the lovely 10-year-old boy named Owynn. His greatest wish was to have a little brother or a sister. And after that much time, this Christmas was the perfect time for the little bundle of joy to be welcomed into his world.

Owynn’s parents, Stacey and Adam Lindsay, always dreamed of having more children. Stacey herself grew up around 14 siblings and wanted her son to experience what it means to have someone you can always rely on by your side. But, even after seven years of trying, they couldn’t conceive.

The family shared their heartwarming story with Love What Matters saying how they experienced five miscarriages and a failed in-vitro. After this, they simply stopped trying and opted to become foster parents. However, that would mean inviting a child in their home, taking care of them, watching them grow in front of their eyes, and then simply let them be another’s family joy. That was something they wouldn’t be able to handle. So the idea of fostering didn’t seem the most appropriate, which broke little Owynn’s heart.

After some time, Stacey and Adam met a young woman named Kendra who was pregnant but wanted to give her child for adoption. The family was more than happy to be this baby’s adoptive parents. They were over the moon when Kendra told them they could have her baby daughter.

On December 8, Stacey and Adam were given permission to take baby Naylee home. Owynn, however, could never in his wildest dreams imagine that Santa would make his biggest wish come true.

Once the little baby girl was home, her parents wrapped her in a warm blanket and placed her under the Christmas tree for she was the most precious gift they could ask for.

When Owynn entered the place, his little heart was immediately filled with pleasure. His sister was there, waiting for him to take her in his safe hands. He knew she will be his best friend for life.

Dog drowning in frozen pond cries out for help, Then a hero takes off clothes and rushes onto ice

It’s astounding what some people are ready to do in order to save a life. It takes a lot of courage and sacrifice to do what this Russian man did when he spotted a canine in trouble.

Apparently, the stray dog was running over the frozen pond hoping to catch one of the ducks he noticed waddling by. But things didn’t go as planned and the poor dog hit some bumps in the road and found himself inside the freezing water.

It’s crazy how the man didn’t hesitate a bit and didn’t think of his safety, but quickly rushed towards the drowning dog. He wore nothing but his pants. No shirt, no shoes.

In order for him not to fall in the water he knelt down and slowly approached the dog who was caught up either in a rope or netting. The scared animal didn’t know the man was there to get it out of the cold. It would angrily bark at the Russian whenever he tried to stretch his arm towards it.

At one point, the dog bit the man’s hand. But the brave savior never let go of the attention to get the animal out.

With his hand hurt, the man was aware he was short of time and had to act really fast. Eventually, he grabbed the dog by the scruff of his neck and pulled it out of the freezing water.

The dog got his happy ending and a second chance for life, while the hero who didn’t let anything stand on his way of the incredible rescue was provided help for his injured hand. The local authorities thanked the unnamed man for his bravery, and placed the dog at a safe place.

And while not all heroes wear capes, the hero from this story didn’t really wear much, well except for his pants.

Hero Dog Saves Cat from Drowning in a Dramatic Rescue

This courageous little dog teaches us that everything we believed to be true about the natural “hatred” between cats and dogs is nothing but an assumption. Although they may not be that fond of each other, they’ll still step in when one of them is in trouble.

What a woman from Turkey caught on tape will leave you speechless. She had come across one of the most extraordinary scenes we’ve ever seen. A cat was about to drown as she found herself stuck in deep water. As she was desperately trying to get out, one dog was determined to save her. 

The brave pooch dived into the water and knew exactly what to do. He carefully got under the cat and let her mount onto his back. He then took her out of the deep water and to a safe place.

The woman was so impressed that she had to share the incredible video with her Twitter followers.

However, after the cat was out, the dog seemed to got stuck in the water himself. Luckily, after a couple of tries he managed to get out too. People who saw the video agree how what he did was pretty much amazing.

And while a lot of people were thanking the woman for sharing this with the world, many judged her for recording instead of actually helping. She could have simply taken the cat out of the water and spare the poor dog all the trouble. There were also those who believe the animals become stronger when faced with such situations and the woman did the right thing for not intervening. 

Who knows, maybe she was afraid that she could get hurt by the scared animals. Anyways, what she put on tape is a rescue we’ll never forget. 

We are glad both the cat and the dog weren’t hurt.

Magician Puts On a Show for Shelter Dogs, How They React Will Make You Go ‘Aww’

We all love magic tricks and can’t help but wonder what’s the truth behind them. They mesmerize us and make us laugh. Now imagine doing magic in front of a different kind of audience – a bunch of sweet dogs from the shelter.

Magician John Stessel shows us that everyone needs to have fun every once in a while, even our furry friends whose reaction to his tricks is priceless.

The shows John performs at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in New York, in partnership with director Rob Bliss and TBS, have the purpose not only to entertain the dogs, but also to provide potential adopters with the chance to see their vibrant personalities. This will probably increase the chances of the lovely pals finding their forever home.

“I’ve always loved the idea of doing magic with dogs,” Stessel told The Dodo. “Performing for them was nothing short of incredible.”

Who could have thought the dogs could be such an incredible audience.

“The reaction from the dogs was just amazing,” Stessel said. “They were just so cute. It was really special.”

Each dog is rewarded plenty of doggie treats after the shows. They love the magic and enjoy every single moment of it. Hopefully, they’ll be able to perform the most important trick themselves, that of vanishing form the shelter right in the house of someone who’ll love them until their last day.

“They just wanted to be loved,” Stessel said. “Each one of them would be perfect to find their own forever home.”

Husky Stuck on Rooftop Gives His Rescuer the Cutest “Thank You” Ever

Many times in life we find ourselves in desperate situations and we need someone’s help in order to overcome the difficulties. Just like this lovely dog who got himself in trouble.

Luckily, the brave firefighters were there to provide help and save the day. After all, they are our everyday heroes whose courage never ceases to amaze us.

The neighbors in Wells, Maine panicked and called for help when they saw Jasper, the 10-year-old Husky, on the roof.

They assumed the dog got out through an open window but either didn’t know how to get inside, or the window accidentally closed shut.

The roof was about 15 feet high and the worried neighbors feared for Jasper’s safety. They first contacted the Wells Police that redirected the call to the Wells Professional Firefighters Association.

The fun part of the rescue was that Jasper seemed to be having good time up there. He wasn’t really scared.

“The call came in for a dog stuck on a roof. My first thought was on the roof of a car, but I didn’t exactly know what was going on,” said Captain Jeff Nawfel of the Wells Fire Department. “Myself and another firefighter who was there with me made the decision that we would ladder the building by ourselves and that we were going to put the dog inside.”

The rescue had a happy ending because no job is too challenging for brave Captain Nawfel who climbed the ladder of the ladder truck and helped the dog find the way inside the house through the room.

You can never guess what Captain Nawfel got as a thank you for the successful rescue mission.

The dog thanked the firefighter with one big, sloppy, wet kiss!

After the firefighter department shared the lovely story on their Facebook page, it quickly went viral and everyone who got to see the kiss went all smiles. People agree it was the best “thank you” someone can get in return for a job well done.

Many news outlets were eager to hear to what the Captain himself had to say.

“Friendly dog. Kinda gave me a smooch on the way in the house and that was the end of it and I came down the ladder,” Nawfel said.

“It floors me that, out of anything going on, this has gotten the attention that it has. It’s crazy. Absolutely crazy.”

“You know there’s always the thought of the firemen going to rescue the cat out of the trees… it’s the ongoing thing. But a dog on the roof is a first.”

We are certain Jasper’s owners are beyond thankful because their dog is not only safe and sound, but pretty famous as well.
