Super dad goes viral after he shows up at his daughter’s work to put salt on the icy path

Is there anything a parent won’t do for the well being of their children? The answer to this question is a resounding yes, and the dad from this story proves that to be right once again.

Elizabeth Boyd is a 38-year-old woman from Oklahoma who recently warmed the hearts of hundreds of people who stumbled upon her Facebook post.

Namely, as the weather went truly bad and the streets were all icy, her father got worried that she would slip and hurt herself, so he decided to wait for her outside her workplace and pour salt on the way from the building’s front door to her vehicle.

“You guys… THIS IS MY DAD,” she wrote. “He drove to my workplace and waited on me to arrive so he could pour a trail of salt from my vehicle to the front door of my building so that I, his 38 year old daughter, wouldn’t slip and fall on the ice…My heart y’all… Love you daddy.”

She posted this along with the photo of her dad carrying the bad of salt.

“[M]y Dad is just like yours! I’m 39 and married! And he still checks on me every single day! they sure don’t make them like that anymore! We are blessed!”

We also believe that Elizabeth is very lucky for having such an incredible dad.

Great Andrea Bocelli’s vocal is mesmerizing and soul-healing. He is admired by millions and loved by many. Bocelli’s music is everlasting, and the good thing is that his children inherited his talent and are following into his footsteps. He and his son Matteo could be heard performing together and everyone agree that their voices blend just perfectly.

Missing girl was found drugged and tethered under a bed after her mom faked her kidnapping

This is the story of then 9-year-old Shannon Matthews who went missing back in 2008.

Years after this case which shook UK took place, a documentary revealing details of it emerged. The Disappearance of Shannon Matthews showed how Shannon’s own mother Karen plotted the kidnapping while portraying herself as a worried parent pleading the police and the public to find her little girl.

Karen, who was at the time dating Craig Meehan, came up with a plan with his uncle, Michael Donovan, to make over $69,500 (£50,000) by claiming the reward money.

And while she was crying crocodile tears on the national TVs and over 250 officers and 60 detectives were searching for her daughter, along with the help of thousands of drivers and hundreds of friends, sweet Shannon was kept inside Michael’s apartment, drugged and tethered.

Over 3,000 places were searched in hopes of finding the girl before Michael’s neighbors called the police saying they had heard tiny steps coming from inside his place.

Detective Constables Nick Townsend and Paul Kettlewell together with their teams went to check on Michael. What they saw inside his home left them in chills. Speaking to The Mirror, Nick said: “There was a deathly silence, then I heard a little girl’s voice. She said, ‘Stop it, you’re frightening me.’ I think Donovan had his hand over her mouth. I knew the voice had come from within the room. I couldn’t work out where it was coming from.”

Shannon was found in the base of a double bed and Michael was there too. He bit one of the officer’s arm and shouted: “Get Karen down here. We’re sharing the money – £50,000.”

As per The Guardian, the prosecutor Julian Goose QC called Karen “a proven, consummate, skillful and convincing liar.”

Both Karen and Michael were sentenced to eight years in prison. Years after she kidnapped her own daughter, Karen was reported to had told The Mirror: “I’m not Britain’s worst mum. I didn’t kill anybody. None of it’s true. I’m on the edge. It makes me want to kill myself but I’d never do that. I’m scared I’ll die lonely and alone.”

As for Shannon, she got a new identity and is living with a new family in an undisclosed location.

Michael Jordan donates $10 million to open new health clinics in his North Carolina hometown

There are famous and successful people out there who have accomplished a lot in their field of interest, and there are those who besides being considered the best for what they do professionally, are also great as human beings. The basketball legend, His Airness, Michael Jordan is definitely part of the latter.

Jordan is known for his heart of gold and his mission of helping the vulnerable throughout the years. This time, he has donated $10 million to the Novant Health, money used to open two new clinics in early 2022 in New Hanover County, North Carolina, his hometown.

In a statement released for the public, Jordan said: “I am very proud to once again partner with Novant Health to expand the Family Clinic model to bring better access to critical medical services in my hometown.”

“Everyone should have access to quality health care, no matter where they live, or whether or not they have insurance. Wilmington holds a special place in my heart and it’s truly gratifying to be able to give back to the community that supported me throughout my life.”

This isn’t the first time, however, for Jordan to help the health care system. Last year, he donated $7 million to help fund two of his Michael Jordan Family Clinics in Charlotte.

Representatives of the Novant Health said how the Charlotte Hornets owner’s clinics in Charlotte have helped treat over 4000 patients and gave out over 10,000 COVID-19 vaccinations. They further explained how the latest donation tends to help those who are either uninsured or underinsured.

“This pandemic has exacerbated health equity gaps across our state, making our efforts to close them even more emergent. We look forward to standing these clinics up as quickly as possible to ensure all members of the community have access to necessary medical care” the statement by Novant Health President Carl Armato read.

“We are so appreciative of Michael’s unwavering commitment to help us bring affordable care to our communities that need it most. It’s not only an investment in us as a partner, but it’s an investment in each and every person that our clinics can reach.”

Michael Jordan has done a lot for the community and he’s not planning on stopping any time soon. In fact, he said how his company would donate $100 million over the next ten years. This money will be used to fight social injustice and racial inequality, as well as to provide greater access to education.

Thank you, legend!

Little boy gets scared by a goat’s loud fart

Kids and animals are the most loved creatures on Earth, and when they get together, well, there’s nothing cuter, really.

The good thing about children being around animals while they grow up is that they learn responsibility, and this isn’t only true for cats and dogs.

A sweet little boy named Asher went to a petting zoo with his parents. The day was a lovely one and he got to meet different creatures, each one stealing his attention and awakening his curiosity just equally.

However, when he approached the goat, he got to experience something very “unusual” and we are so glad it was caught on tape. Namely, as Asher was petting the goat, she farted so loudly that he jumped and screamed. It sure felt like a “dreadful” experience for the boy, but at least he will have a memory to laugh at when he gets older.

The video was shared on Facebook and gathered the attention of thousands of people. It has over 90,000 comments, mainly of people tagging those in their lives who fart as loud as this goat. Hilarious, indeed.

11-year-old boy runs his own recycling company and is changing the world one can at a time

We speak a lot about changing the world for the better, but not many of us actually do anything to make that happen. The climate change is a real thing and a threat for the planet and humanity, yet, we don’t pay much attention to our personal acts which lead for the problem to grow bigger and bigger.

When we throw a can on the street instead of recycling it, we say, “Ok, well, it’s just a can.” But when millions of us do the same, those cans and the rest of the waste we leave behind end up polluting the ground as well as the waters.

Ryan Hickman is an 11 year old boy who was named “2017 Citizen of the Year” by his hometown of San Juan Capistrano. CNN Young Wonder placed him on the list of “top 15 kids changing the world,” and he found himself on the Reader’s Digest 2020 List of Kids of the Decade Changing the World.

If you wonder why, it’s because he really is making a huge change. Since he was 3.5 years old, Ryan has recycled 1 million cans and bottles.

Speaking to Power Positivity about how it all started, this young environmentalist says: “It was fun and I saw it was making a difference in the environment. Every single can and bottle that I recycle is not ending up in oceans, landfills, lakes, rivers, reservoirs, or for animals to eat it, get sick and die.”

Although Ryan is busy studying, he always finds the time to recycle. “What keeps me motivated to keep recycling is just getting letters and emails from all over the world telling me thanks and keep up the recycling,” he says. “If millions and millions of people recycle just one bottle or can, it’ll be millions and millions of bottles or cans being recycled. So, it’s really easy to recycle,” Ryan adds.

According to ABC News, Ryan is saving money for a trash truck. For that purpose, as well as for his future education, he and his dad, who set up Ryan’s Recycling, already raised $10,000.

Thank you Ryan for everything you do for the environment. You are such an inspiration!

Man was shooting the ocean during a storm and caught an incredible footage of a lighting striking

Nature can be both incredible and unpredictable, and that makes her unique and beautiful.

Back in June 2015, during a severe weather in Florida, a man named Clint Blevins was trying to take a video of the ocean during the storm, but got way more than he hoped for as his video is showing an incredible and chilling phenomenon.

Source: YouTube/ Extreme Weather

After the smaller strikes that hit just off the coast, a massive one followed. It hit the water in Daytona Beach and was recorded withing a few hundred feet.

According to NOAA, Ocean Today, “each spark [of the lighting] can span over five miles in length, reach temperatures hotter than the surface of the sun and contain 100 million volts of electricity.”

Lighting doesn’t strike the ocean as much as land, so that makes this video even more special. It shows just how powerful nature is. The sooner we humans understand we shouldn’t mess with it, the better.

You can take a look at the video of the massive lighting below.
