Elderly woman walked into the beauty salon looking for a makeup

0

There comes a time in our life when we dedicate all our strength to make those around us happy and forget about ourselves. And then, something that turns our world upside-down happens and we realize we’ve been neglecting the most important person in our life – ourselves – for so long.

And then, we feel the urge to experience certain change. Whether it’s a new hair color, or getting rid of the old skirts, we know we have to fight the dullness that has somehow become part of our everyday life.

An elderly woman who is sharing her beautiful story felt this urge and decided to walk inside a beauty salon.

“I know that I am not the most beautiful and that I do not look good at all. I don’t want to eat you for a long time, I just want a simple make-up, to remind me of my youth. It will be a little relief for me,” she told the staff at the place.

Realizing she was longing for a change in her appearance, the girls working at the salon decided they needed to make the woman’s wish true so they got their hands busy and provided various face and hair treatments before they dyed her hair and put makeup on her face.

When she saw herself in the mirror, the woman couldn’t believe her eyes. Her transformation, which swept away 10 years off her face, was jaw-dropping.

Judging from the photos, she now seems way happier and way more satisfied with herself.

While sitting on a bench, they noticed a strange little creature completely covered in fur

0

Going out in nature with young children is always a good idea, but the truth is that parents need to be very cautious of insects, such as ticks, that can easily hurt the little ones.

Leslie Howe, a mother of three, took her children to the Gwinnett County Park. It was a sunny day and going out seemed like a great idea. The kids had lots of fun. As they were running around, they noticed a strange little creature. It was unlike anything they had seen until then. Curious to learn more about the furry insect, they approached closer. However, as they were getting ready to inspect it and touch it, Leslie yelled at them not to do it.

Little did she know that she saved them from an ordeal.

The furry creature happened to be a pus caterpillar, one of the most venomous caterpillars in the U.S. If they touch it, people experience excruciating pain. There are reports of individuals who got into contact with it when they felt the urge to pet it, and others said it simply fell on them from a tree.

According to National Geographic, “the outer comb-over of the puss caterpillars hides small, extremely toxic spines that stick in your skin.”

Some of the symptoms people who have touched this insect experienced are severe nausea and excessive sweating.

Next time you are at the park, make sure you stay out of the way of this tiny insect if you stumble upon it.

Passenger refused to move her bag on the subway, so a stranger taught her a lesson

0

A woman on a NJT Transit North East Corridor train caused a 25 minute delay because she refused to move her bag from the adjacent seat. As many of the passengers struggled to find a seat on the crowded train, the femspreading passenger made them angry. Many tried to confront her because of her behavior, but she wouldn’t listen.

“If you remove her, we would have an additional seat to spare,” one of the passengers from the back of the train could be heard yelling.

With her earphones on, she acted like she’s too classy for public transportation while using it and held to the belief that the seat next to her was her personal space.

Everyone who has seen the video of this woman’s rude behavior has condemned it big way. One person wrote, “She clearly knows she’s doing something wrong after the first few warnings but she decides to keep her purse there out of pure pride and stubborness. She’s embarrassed and wants to stand her ground. I hate these kinds of people.”

There was also an officer on board. As everyone forced him to do something about the entitled passenger, his patience started running out and he eventually moved her out.

Assuming there are no seats available because everyone has put their bag on a seat would lead to a total chaos, especially during rush hour.

You can take a look at the video of the femspreading passenger below. Make sure you tell us what you think and don’t forget to SHARE it with your family and friends on Facebook.

I went to my brother, Merrill’s final performance here in the US. He asked me to join him at the end of the show and as he sang his closing song, I couldn’t help but give my brother a farewell hug. Young man get’s asked to prom and the most amazing thing happens

0

The prom marks an important milestone in the lives of high-school students. It represents the end of a chapter and the start of a new one. It is also the night when teenagers get the chance to shine through their carefully chosen outfit and make-up thus have the night of their life surrounded by peers with whom they spent years filled with memories worth cherishing.

Jon, a young man with autism, was about to attend his prom. He, however, didn’t have a date and his parents weren’t sure whether he wanted to go or not. But then, someone special stepped in and made Jon’s night.

Namely, a girl named Maddie, who met Jon through a school club that promotes friendships between special needs kids and regular kids, went to Jon’s dad one day and told him she needed to talk to him. Jon’s dad is a teacher at the school his son and Maddie attend.

As she approached Jon’s father, she said, “He’s a junior, so it’s his prom too. I just think he should have the chance to go.” The dad said they were happy and honored to have their son go with her.

Sharing this beautiful story, Jon’s dad explained, “During the next couple weeks, [Maddie] asked what his favorite color was (orange) so she could get a dress in that color. She also made reservations for their group (they doubled with another couple) at a restaurant that served his favorite food – chicken fingers and French fries.”

He then asked from his friends and social media followers to share this story because of three very important reasons, “to show support for special kids like Jon, to show support for groups that promote these friendships, and to remind us all, in a time when we hear about all the terrible things going on, that there are wonderful kids like Maddie working to make other’s lives better.”

We are so glad there are still young people like Maddie out there who look beyond physical appearance.

Make sure you SHARE this inspiring story with your family and friends on Facebook to help Jon’s father spread a message of love and hope.

An 18-year-old girl with anorexia weighting 70 pounds demonstrates the power of motivation and perseverance

0

Anorexia represents a serious psychological disorder where people are of low weight due to limiting how much they eat and drink. Although it usually starts at adolescence, it can affect people pf all ages. The complications can be fatal, but treatment and recovery are possible.

Researchers have found evidence of people displaying symptoms of anorexia for hundreds or thousands of years.

When a young woman named Vera Schulz was diagnosed with this condition, she was just 18 years old. For several months, she weighted only 70lb and she still saw herself as fat.

At one point, she started experiencing very severe symptoms such as constant dizziness, fainting, and breathing difficulties. It was then that something clicked in her mind. She knew she needed to change her life over. It wasn’t going to be easy because it required strong mental strength, but it was either that or a state that could easily lead her to death.

The first step towards a new life was eating more fruits and vegetables. No matter how she felt, Vera knew that was the only way out of the situation she had found herself in.

Over time, she introduced physical exercise and more types of food into her diet.

It took some time before she started looking and being healthy, but it was all worth it.

Vera’s social life improved drastically and she found love.

This young woman found inspiration in the thought that she wanted to be alive, and that helped her go through the toughest of times.

She did succeed, but not everyone manages to overcome this disorder without professional help.

Battling anorexia and speaking openly about it isn’t embarrassing nor a taboo. Seeking help and accepting the reality is the first step towards healing.

Coach is furious when players disrespect the National Anthem: Now watch the veterans on the left

0

Parents, as well as teachers, should educate children to be compassionate and to always pay respect to everyone around them even from very little age. They should especially be thought how to appreciate the sacrifice of those who fought for the freedom we enjoy today. One way of paying tribute to the courageous men and women, and to our country, is standing during the National Anthem. Unfortunately, not many youngsters do that nowadays.

Basketball coach Buzz Williams of Virginia Tech noticed how many of his players, as well as people from the crowd, don’t really care when the Anthem is on. Instead of standing in full respect, many are looking around, or they just sway along the music, giving an impression of being bored.

This all made coach Williams frustrated and angry, so he decided to teach the players a lesson, and now everyone is praising him for doing so.

This coach knew he couldn’t make everyone in the community appreciate the Anthem, but he was determined to do it with his players, and hoped other would follow his example. As even the longest journey starts with a single step, coach Williams wanted to make a difference on his own. It was during the Veteran’s Day that he set an example for the rest of the country about how things should be done. He had a talk with his players and reminded them of the importance of being respectful, and then had them line up in the middle of the court, facing the US veterans.

“These guys, when they were you age, interrupted their life, they paused their education, they changed their career, and they gave their life for those chairs,” Williams says.

“So when the anthem is played, we’re going to stand like grown men and we’re going to honor men like this, that gave their life, so we can have a chair to sit in.”

Looking at the young men and the veterans standing side-by-side, reciting the Anthem as one, has to be the most touching thing you’ll see all day. And that’s all thanks to the coach who simply wanted his boys to appreciate other people’s sacrifice. Coach Williams is an excellent example of what every educator should be like. He’s not only teaching his students how to be better basketball players, but how to be better people, too.

We need more people like coach Williams in our educational institutions. He’s an inspiration for many. Take a look at the emotional National Anthem recital done by those who gave us our freedom and those who get to enjoy it today. Simply amazing.

Before she passed away, woman called her husband and expressed her final wish

0

Clare Mauremootoo and her husband John met through a mutual friend in 1993 and fell madly in love. They had been married for 11 years when Clare was diagnosed with motor neuronopathy, an uncommon condition that affects the brain and nerves and causes weakness that gets worse over time. Sadly, there is no known cure for this condition, the treatments available can only help reduce the impact it has on the person’s everyday life.

For Clare, this diagnosis was a devastating one as her health deteriorated more and more with each passing day.

As she knew her time on earth was limited, she couldn’t stop thinking what her husband and their two sons would do without her in their lives.

That’s when she made it her mission to find someone for John who would embrace him and the children after Clare’s passing.

“She promised she would assist me in finding love,” John said of Clare. “She even started corresponding with hospice representatives in an effort to schedule a date for us.

“I, however, wasn’t ready. Although I wasn’t sure if I would ever be, Clare wanted me to be,” he explained.

Clare was determined to find John a new partner, because that was the only things that could put her at ease.

She frequently told him, “I don’t care how you meet someone.” She even tried setting John up with some of the nurse at the hospice where she spent the last two months of her life.

As her condition worsened, Clare and John decided that 11th February would be the day her children saw her for the last time. Clare spent that Valentine’s day by her husband’s side and passed away just a couple of days later.

“Clare died in my arms. I told her how much I loved her and told her not to worry about the boys, I would take good care of the boys,” John said.

“I made an effort to carry on as usual, getting the boys ready for school and preparing dinner for them, but I couldn’t help but feel like Clare was watching us.

“Although I never forgot her request for me to meet someone new, I didn’t want the boys to believe I was taking over for their mother.

“But I was alone after the boys had gone to bed. I craved Clare’s presence and missed her. I, therefore, opened an account on a dating website in May.”

Eventually, John connected to a woman named Julie Macfarlane, a nurse who had just went through a divorce and had two kids, John, 10, and Isobel, 6.

“When the moment was right, I told Jack and Ben I was dating Julie,” John said. “They were horrified at first, but over the next six months, they warmed up to her and her children.”

The families moved in together in 2008 and four years later, John and Julie married. Isobel was their bridesmaid and the three boys were best men.

John added, “I talked about Clare’s diagnosis, our time together, and her wish for me to find someone special.”

“Clare wanted us to be happy, and I think she would be now that things have gone as they have, so I told everyone I envisioned her smiling down on us.”
