President Donald Trump has appointed former Fox News host and New York prosecutor Jeanine Pirro the interim US attorney for Washington, DC.
Taking to Truth Social, the POTUS wrote, “I am pleased to announce that Judge Jeanine Pirro will be appointed interim United States Attorney for the District of Columbia,” dubbing her a “powerful crusader for victims of crime.”
“She excelled in all ways,” Trump went on, praising her career as a TV host. “In addition to her Legal career, Jeanine previously hosted her own Fox News Show, Justice with Judge Jeanine, for ten years, and is currently Co-Host of The Five, one of the Highest Rated Shows on Television,” the president added.
Fox News also praised Pirro’s work. A spokesperson for FOX News Media said in a statement, “Jeanine Pirro has been a wonderful addition to The Five over the last three years and a longtime beloved host across FOX News Media who contributed greatly to our success throughout her 14-year tenure. We wish her all the best in her new role in Washington.”
On the same day she was sworn into office, Jeanine Pirro announced the sentencing of two individuals involved in a dangerous daylight drive-by shooting near an elementary school in Washington, DC.
The two men, Rasheed Mullins, 27, and Josiah Warfield, 24, received federal prison sentences of over seven years. They both pleaded guilty to assault with intent to murder while armed.
The incident took place in April 2024 and caught the attention of the public because it happened near a school.
Pirro’s office made an announcement of another indictment on Thursday, confirming that Te’Vaughn Brown, 20, was charged with felony assault on a senior citizen before a Nationals baseball game last August, with the trial set for July 14.

When I took that flight to LA, I never assumed it would change everything for me, yet, my life was never the same from that day on.
As I took my seat, I immediately started going through the bunch of papers I had revised over and over again and the presentation that was about to secure me a new job position as an architect at a high-profile company.
However, almost an hour into the flight that changed everything, a flight attendant approached and asked to see my passport.
“Is something wrong with my reservation?” I asked, surprised and a bit worried.
“No, miss,” she said. “It’s just… the captain would like to see you once we land.”
“The captain!?” I asked, my confusion only getting worse.
He looked at me for a couple of seconds before he said, “You don’t. But I am your father.”
“My father?” I asked, shocked. “But my mom told me my father passed away before I was even born,” I said.
“You see… your mother and I dated for some time, and then she suddenly vanished from my life. I had no idea where she was, but then a relative of hers told me that she had given birth to a girl. And I knew deep down that you were mine.”
It turned out he knew my name and my birthday, and that was it. He tried finding me, but he wasn’t sure if we wanted him in our life.
When he saw the passengers’ list, he could feel deep down that I was his Courtney, and the birth date the flight attendant saw in my passport only confirmed what he suspected.
At that moment, I experienced a rollercoaster of emotions. Tears started rolling down my face. I gave my father a hug and I was happy I met him, but at the same time, I felt anger because my mother hid the truth from me.
When I finally found courage to confront my mother, she broke down in tears. She said that when she learned she was pregnant, she got scared. She wasn’t sure if my dad wanted a child, so she decided to vanish from his life.
Eventually, she and Steve met. It felt to both of them as though they never split. Their feeling for one another emerged, but still, they decided to take things slowly.
It’s incredible how life works sometimes.

Donald Trump was sworn in Monday as the 47th president of the United States, returning to the White House for the second time. In his address, he said “The golden age of America begins right now.”
He added that the country will “flourish and be respected” under his leadership as a “peacemaker and a unifier.”
The president stated that God had saved him from the assassination, allowing him “to make America great again.”

When it comes to the First Lady, Melania Trump, reports are she won’t be living full-time at the White House.
In fact, she would be splitting her time between various locations.
With the couple’s son, Barron Trump, starting university in New York, the Slovenian former model-turned First Lady would be spending some time there, as well as at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
That Trump has been eager to serve as a president again was more than evident, but the same couldn’t be said of his wife.

In an interview to discuss her memoir, titled Melania, she was asked whether there would be any differences in how she and Donald moved into the White House this time, compared to their move after the Obama administration.
“The difference is I know where I will be going, I know the rooms where we will be living. I know the process,” Melania told Fox & Friends.
“The first time was challenging, we didn’t have much of the information, the information was upheld (withheld) for us from previous administration.”
According to her, things will be smoother this time around. It will be partly because she and her husband are not relying on their predecessors for key pieces of information.
“But this time I have everything, I have the plans. I could move in, I already packed – I already selected the furniture that needs to go in.
“So it’s a very different transition this time, second time around.”
Former First Lady Michelle Obama did not join her husband at Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.

Many people struggle to lose weight and achieve their ideal appearance, but the truth is, it’s rarely easy or straightforward. In fact, weight loss requires time, patience, and persistence.
In order to reach their goal, people try different diets, use various shakes and pills, and go to even greater lengths — often at the expense of their health and overall well-being.
Most recently, intermittent fasting has been promoted as a healthy way of losing and maintaining weight, with a number of celebrities and athletes swearing by it.
In fact, intermittent fasting has been around for centuries before becoming a global trend.
Back in the old days, long before diet plans and macro tracking became a thing, people did not eat according to a schedule. They ate whenever they had food. Now, food is everywhere, at least in the developed world, which has revolutionized the way we eat.
“This has shifted our eating patterns,” said Dr Vicki Catenacci, a nutrition researcher at the University of Colorado. “People now eat, on average, throughout a 14-hour period each day.”
When food is always within reach, our bodies are almost never at rest from digestion. The good thing is that fasting gives them that pause.
Intermittent fasting doesn’t focus on the food you consume, but the timing of your meals.
If done correctly, intermittent fasting can help stabilize blood sugar and boost how your body responds to insulin.
However, it is not for everyone.
Recently, a popular YouTube channel shared a 55-second-long video that shows what happens with the body during a 36-hour-fast.
During the first four hours of not consuming any food, the body stars burning fat, which certainly leads to weight loss, but what happens next is rather shocking.
Just like with any restrictive diet, intermittent fasting can have side effects.
According to The Emily Program, some of the side effects — that don’t apply to everyone — are excessive hunger, headaches, dizziness, digestive issues, mood changes, bad breath, sleep disturbances, dehydration, excessive urination, and nutrient deficiencies and malnutrition among the rest.
The benefits, however, are impressive.
What happens after 8 hours without food
Approximately eight hours after your last meal, your blood sugar starts to drop. It is during this time that the body transitions from relying on blood sugar to relying on glycogen, which is stored in the muscles and in the liver. This stage is quite subtle, as many people experience it while they sleep, but it is the start of the body’s transition away from relying on constant fuel intake.
Around 12 hours: metabolic switching begins
After about twelve hours of fasting, the glycogen is depleted. As a result, the body relies on fat for energy since glucose is not readily available. The fat in the body is then converted to ketones, which can be used to fuel the body’s muscles and the brain. This is one of the reasons why fasting is associated with fat burning.
At this point, the levels of insulin are low, which is beneficial since the body won’t store more fat. Additionally, people who fast reported that they have clearer mind and consistent energy levels once this point is reached.
At 16 hours: autophagy turns on
Sixteen hours into fasting, the body’s process of autophagy becomes more prominent. Autophagy is the body’s natural recycling process. It involves the body’s breakdown of old, dysfunctional, or inefficient cell parts and the reuse of these parts to rebuild new, healthy cells. It is like a cleaning process for the cells.
This process is crucial for overall health and well-being. The body becomes more efficient and more resilient when it gets rid of the cellular waste. Autophagy is a natural process that occurs in the body, but it’s the fasting that seems to turn it up.
By the twenty-fourth hour, the body is in fat-burning mode. The body produces more ketones, reduces inflammation, and increases its sensitivity to insulin. This could be the reason some individuals report that they no longer crave as much food as they did in the beginning. They also report they are able to maintain their energy levels for longer periods of time.
At this point, the body has gone into a repair mode. It conserves its energy by eliminating non-essential processes while enhancing its survival mechanisms.
30 hours and beyond: deeper cellular renewal
Thirty hours into fasting is when the “deep cleaning” begins, and after thirty-six hours, the body reaches maximum autophagy during which body regenerates tissues and boosts your metabolism.
This phase is linked to regeneration and optimizing metabolism.
At thirty-six hours, autophagy can be at its peak. During this phase, the body is extremely efficient at recycling, repairing tissues, and dealing with stress. Metabolism is not slowing down; rather, the body is becoming more flexible with its metabolism.
While all of this sounds impressing, the reality is that fasting isn’t about taking the body to the extremes. Not every individual should engage in long periods of fasting, since even shorter periods of fasting allow the body to reap the benefits of the metabolic shift and the reduction of insulin.
The real key is to allow the body to take a break from the constant state of consuming food. This means whether it is through the act of overnight fasting, time-restricted eating, or spacing meals, the real aim is to get the body into balance.
The reason that fasting works is because it utilizes the systems the body was designed to work with. Fasting, done in a way that is safe and effective, reminds the body how to heal, reset, and work more efficiently, just as it was designed to do thousands of years ago.
Many people gave intermittent fasting a go end up having many personal stories to share that extend beyond the information that can be found in the science. Some individuals report that they end up having more energy and being more alert as their body enters a state of ketosis. In one personal story, it was shared that the individual who was fasting with the 16:8 method noticed that they did not experience as much bloating as they did in the past as their body adjusted to the longer period of fasting.
Within online communities, there are many personal stories about individuals who attempt fasting for longer periods of time. Some individuals report that they can fast for up to 48-72 hours and notice that they end up with a higher level of focus as well as less inflammation in their body. However, they note that the fasting process can be challenging as the energy levels can decrease as the fasting period begins.
The person sharing this story noted, “Important: I don’t recommend anyone try this without careful preparation. I ease in with shorter fasts, clean keto-style eating, and always listen to my body. This isn’t medical advice — just my N=1.”
Experts in nutrition and health have also shared their opinion on intermittent fasting. Dr. Frank Hu, a professor of nutrition and epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, comments on how intermittent fasting may help put the body in short-term ketosis and may help with weight loss by making it simpler to know when to eat. However, it has not been shown to be more effective than conventional caloric restriction.
“You can’t follow it now and then and expect any significant changes,” says Dr. Hu, according to Harvard Medical School. “But if you get off schedule for a day or two, you haven’t negated your efforts. Just pick it up again and keep going. Eventually, you may see intermittent fasting become a part of your everyday life.”
Other scientific studies also discuss that the process of fasting causes the metabolism process to change from glucose-based to fat-based, which can help reduce the levels of inflammation, balance blood glucose levels, and also assist the body in various cellular processes such as autophagy, although the evidence supporting the benefits of fasting is mostly from animal and early human trials.
It is also noteworthy that not all experts are praising the benefits of fasting, as various studies also reveal that the benefits of weight loss from the process of fasting are similar to those from other traditional means of dieting, and the benefits such as autophagy are not well supported.
The above statements and opinions from real-life experiences and experts prove that although the process of fasting indeed causes various noticeable changes, it is not necessarily effective for all, and the key to the process is to consider it wisely and consult your healthcare professional about the process.

Consult a healthcare professional before starting, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of eating disorders. Individual results may vary.

Donald Trump’s niece, Marry Trump — the daughter of his late brother Frank who died of heart-attack in 1981 — has been a vocal critic of her uncle.
In 2020, she published the all-tell book Too Much and Never Enough in which she wrote about Donald and the Trump family.
Among the rest, she wrote in the book that the president is “utterly incapable of leading this country and it’s dangerous to allow him to do so.”
Trump’s niece dubbed his return to Office for the second time “uniquely dangerous times.”
During a recent interview with The Telegraph Marry expressed her fears of her uncle aiming to remain president for life. She believes he would intend to do so in case he’s given the opportunity to run for the third time, which is currently not allowed based on the Constitution.

Regardless of what the law states, Trump recently claimed there was a “loophole” that he could use.
So far, Donald Trump has opened up about the idea of a third term a number of times, but not many believed he was serious – unless not until recently, when he clearly hinted there are ways for him to continue his presidency beyond 2028.
“A lot of people want me to do it. But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration,” he explained. “I’m focused on the current.
“I like working. I’m not joking. But I’m not – it is far too early to think about it,” he said, adding “there are methods which you could do it.”
Speaking of this possibility, Marry Trump said of her uncle that “It’s not about whether or not he’ll run. It’s about whether or not he’ll leave. It’s more likely that he’ll just say, ‘I’m president for life and I’m not going anywhere’. And he’ll challenge people to get rid of him.
“What enforcement mechanism is there to drag the guy who just lost the election but is in the Oval Office? How do you get rid of him? We don’t know, because we’ve never had this problem. I think he’s willing to challenge that.”
She added: “America is a deeply broken country and it has been for a long time. Donald is not an anomaly. He is, I think, the logical conclusion to the last 40 years of Republican degradation.”
She has also criticized the Democrats for failing to prepare better for the elections.
“The Democrats continue to not just fail to meet the moment, they fail to understand the moment… And one of my biggest criticisms of the Biden administration is that they didn’t see a second Trump term coming and they failed to prepare adequately.” she said.
“Part of it was complacency, part of it was just a failure of understanding where people in this country were. Part of it was honestly just failing to recognise what was happening globally.
“Incumbents in every single country, regardless of political affiliation, were losing by massive margins.”

Barack Obama’s name surfaced during Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial when the singer’s former personal assistant David James testified that A-list guests at the rapper’s infamous parties took various drugs, including “pills in the shape of the former president’s face.”
According to James — who recalled being told his job was to please the mogul when he was hired by a Bad Boy Entertainment executive — Diddy used narcotics excessively throughout the day. He travelled with a bag full of drugs, including “some advil, tylenol.”
“He had water pills to help him lose weight, viagra, pills that helped increase his sperm count,” James said of his former boss. Further, he added Diddy would take Percocets during the day and ecstasy at night.
As he went on to explain how he was frequently told to arrange the “freak off” s*xual performance sessions, James broke down in tears.
He also said that he had taken ecstasy once during a party when Diddy filmed him blackmailed him.
As witnesses take the stand, several celebrities have been dragged into the trial, including singer Usher.
According to the testimony of Dawn Richards — a former member of girl group Danity Kane that was signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records label and a close friend of Diddy’s ex Cassie Ventura — Usher was present at a restaurant when Diddy assaulted Cassie by hitting her in the stomach, the Daily Mailreported.

Rapper Ne-Yo and Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine were also present, according to Richards.
However, while many witnessed the assault, no one did anything to defend Cassie.
He then asked Cassie to leave the place. On the way out, he grabbed her “by the neck and popped her, slapped her in the mouth.”
This wasn’t the first time Richards witnessed the disgraced rapper punching, choking, and slapping his girlfriend in the mouth.

During the trial, she recalled Diddy assaulting Cassie with a skillet of eggs in 2009. He then warned her she could go missing.
Diddy is on trial for s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges. He pleaded not guilty.

British professional boxer Georgia O’Connor died of cancer aged 25. She was a decorated Team GB, winning the Commonwealth Youth gold in 2017.
O’Connor was a five times National and Commonwealth Champion, as well as a two-time World and European Medalist.
She went pro in 2021, going 3-0.
Her last fight as a professional took place in October 2022, outpointing Joyce Van Ee on an all-female card at London’s O2 Arena.
Boxer Georgia O’Connor shared her cancer diagnosis on January 31 and died just four months later, on May 22.
Days before her passing, she married her boyfriend, Adriano, whom she called her hero.

Posting a photo of her ring, O’Connor wrote, “The day I married the love of my life.”
In a social media post, O’Connor blasted the UK’s publicly funded healthcare system.
“For 17 weeks since the start of October, I’ve been in constant pain, going back and forth between Durham and Newcastle RVI A&E knowing deep down something was seriously wrong,” O’Connor wrote. “I said from the start I felt it was cancer. I KNEW the risks. I have colitis and PSC, two diseases that dramatically increase the chances of getting it. I KNOW how high my risk is and they do too. They always did.”

In the same post, she accused doctors of not taking her condition seriously and failing to diagnose her because they refused to run tests.
“Not one doctor did the scans or blood tests I begged for whilst crying on the floor in agony. Instead, they dismissed me. They gaslit me, told me it was nothing, made me feel like I was overreacting,” she wrote. “They refused to scan me. They refused to investigate. They REFUSED to listen.”
The young boxer shared that not only her cancer spread, but doctors also found potentially fatal blood clots in her lungs.

“And now? Now the cancer has spread. And if that wasn’t enough, throughout this whole time there’s been BLOOD CLOTS all over my lungs. That ALONE could have killed me instantly.”
She condemned the National Health Service of being a “broken system.”
“They could have done something before it got to this stage. But they didn’t. Because this is the state of the NHS – a broken system that fails young people like me over and over again.
“A system that makes people suffer, that sends them home in agony, that lets cancer spread whilst the thick, stupid, mindless ‘doctors’ shrug their shoulders.”
We are heartbroken by the passing of Georgia O’Connor. A true warrior inside and outside the ring, the boxing community has lost a talented, courageous and determined young woman far too soon.

On their website, NHS states that ulcerative colitis — a chronic inflammatory bowel disease O’Connor suffered from — can significantly increase the risks of developing cancer.
O’Connor passing has been announced by her promotion company BOXXER.
“We are heartbroken by the passing of Georgia O’Connor,” BOXXER said in a statement on X. “A true warrior inside and outside the ring, the boxing community has lost a talented, courageous and determined young woman far too soon.”
