From a number of blockbuster films that predict the apocalypse, to ordinary people wondering if and when the human civilization may come to an end, the discussions of people’s future on planet Earth seems to be a never ending one.
Recently, a supercomputer made a projection on the topic and the prognosis are bleak.
According to it, a destruction of what we know as our home could come in roughly 250 million years from now.

Further, the study, which was initially published in Nature Geoscience, analyzed the results of the supercomputer, taking into account various geological and biological factors.
It discussed the merging of tectonic plates, colossal slabs that constitute the Earth’s crust. With this, the Earth’s continents as we know them are expected to converge, forming a new supercontinent called Pangaea Ultima.

Sadly, this would lead to a drastic change in the climate – extreme temperatures and increased volcanic activity. The harsh conditions that would result from these changes would make it nearly impossible for mammals to survive.
“The newly-emerged supercontinent would effectively create a triple whammy, comprising the continentality effect, hotter sun and more CO2 in the atmosphere, of increasing heat for much of the planet,” Dr. Alexander Farnsworth, a lead researcher of the study stated.
In 250 million years from now, researchers believe the temperatures will reach 40-50 degrees Celsius. But it would be the extreme humidity that would put lives at risk. This humidity will greatly reduce how much heat mammals’ bodies will be able to release into the air.
In addition, around 8 to 16 percent of the land would be habitable for mammals when this supercontinent forms and humans would seriously struggle to adapt to the new climate extremes.
However, despite the bleak prognosis, the good thing is that humans have plenty of time ahead in order to prepare for this possible future. Who knows, maybe those plans would involve colonies on Mars.

Former president Jimmy Carter died aged 100. He had spent the last 19 months of his life in hospice care. On his funeral, country singers Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, long-time friends on the Carters, paid their tribute with a performance of John Lennon’s Imagine.
This was a rare appearance of Brooks and Yearwood, who first met the Carters on a Habitat for Humanity building project, since Brooks was accused by a former employee of sexual assault.
The singer denied the allegations and told People in October, 2024, “I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be.”
While some found the tribute lovely, many took to social media to criticize the country musicians because of their choice of song.
The memorial being held inside an Episcopal cathedral and the lyrics of the song, including: ‘Imagine there’s no heaven / It’s easy if you try / No hell below us / Above us, only sky,’ led to backlash.
PBS News
“Of all the songs to play at a funeral; being held in a church! Horrible,” someone commented.
“What a bad choice of song at a devout Christian’s funeral. This is actually a terrible song if you listen to the words,” another added.
“He really wanted everyone to imagine ‘there’s no heaven’… in a church. At a funeral. Whoever made that call… sheesh,” a third person wrote.
Even with the criticism, there were plenty of people who stood up for Brooks and Yearwood. According to them, Imagine conveys a profound message of peace, unity, and bridging divides, making it an ideal tribute to Carter’s international humanitarian efforts.
In the past, president Carter had mentioned during interviews that Imagine was his favorite song. He once referred to it as a powerful anthem for our shared humanity.
Following the funeral, Brooks and Yearwood shared their heartfelt tributes to President Carter. Brooks posted, “President Carter, the legacy you and Rosalynn have left us is as beautiful as the life you lived.”
He emphasized the joy, warmth, and unwavering determination that Carter infused into every cause he supported. Yearwood shared similar thoughts: “Rest easy, Mr. President. Your legacy of love, along with Mrs. Rosalynn’s, will endure for all time.”
The couple didn’t comment the controversy surrounding their performance at the funeral.

When our parents reach that age when they can no longer take care of themselves or need assistance doing everyday things, it’s on us to be there for them and find the most suitable solution. Sometimes, children decide that placing them at facilities is the best thing to do, others, however opt for taking them in with them. But there is also another solution that I guess fits both sides just perfectly, and that’s the MEDCottage places, or granny pods.
These cottages are portable apartments that are placed in the the yard. This allows the parents to be really close to you, and still enjoy their privacy and independence.
“That wasn’t our name,” Ken Dupin, MEDCottage’s founder told CBS News. “You don’t get to choose your nickname.”
The places are just awesome. They include all the safety features that nursing homes have, such as safety rails, first aid kits, defibrillator, and more.
There are also cameras installed so the caregivers could monitor the parents.
If you love the idea of purchasing a granny pod for your mom and dad you have to be ready to spend between $85,000 and $125,000.
The only difficulty related to these homes is the placing, but Virginia already passed a law allowing the placement of MEDCottages.
Why granny pods would be a better solution than nursing homes is the fact that 40% of residents of nursing homes have reported abuse and more than 90% of them reported incidents of neglect.
At the same time, a 2010 study showed that half of the caregivers at nursing homes admitted to elderly neglect or abuse. That same percent admitted to verbally abuse the residents at some point.
By 2030, one in five Americans will be over the age of sixty-five. This number would outweigh the facilities and resources available to them. And knowing that almost 90 percent of the elderly population would like to age in their own home, it’s safe to say that granny pods are the perfect solution.
Don’t you just love them?

With the holiday being around the corner and our budget being tight, my husband Mike still insisted on inviting his family over for Christmas. For me, that meant endless hours of cleaning and cooking and then listening to his parents’ harsh comments about the kind of housewife I was. But things took even worse turn when Greg, who was incredibly irresponsible with his spending habits, threw $50 at me and told me to cook the Christmas feast, reminding me not to embarrass him in front of his family.
Looking at him, I smiled because I was sure he was joking this time. “Greg, this money isn’t enough for the turkey alone. How do you expect me to cook dinner for that many people with this little money?” I asked. “You’ll figure something out,” he responded. “Look at my mom, she is a magician in the kitchen and never spends much on groceries.”
Midjourney
I couldn’t believe he was doing this to me yet again. Ever since we married two years ago, both he and his parents, Richard and Maureen, treated me as their personal cook and their maid. They even joked about me cooking for every single holiday and most of the weekends. My father-in-law even suggested I start a catering service because I was cooking for free anyways. He then started laughing and his wife and son joined in the fun.
Their remarks and high expectations of me became something I couldn’t put up with any longer.
But, I had a plan. I knew I needed to teach Greg a lesson he would never forget.
Pexels
He always believed I didn’t deserve to have money on my own, because according to him I didn’t need any. I was a housewife and that’s how he saw me throughout our marriage.
However, I had some savings; money I put aside when doing the grocery shopping. Greg didn’t know of that money and I was about to use it for this Christmas.
So, instead of cooking, I pre-ordered everything from the nicest restaurant in town. I got a roasted turkey, pies, freshly-baked rolls, creamy mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce. The table resembled one from the catalogs. Everything was perfect, all I needed to do was reheat the food.
Thanksgiving feast
When Greg saw what I prepared, he said, “I knew you could make this. This is what happens when you have a husband who trusts in you.”
I couldn’t stand the irony in his tone of voice. He thought giving me this little validation would satisfy me.
His parents always judged people who ordered food instead of cooking it at home, saying they didn’t deserve to celebrate properly. They would also say they would never allow themselves to eat takeouts, especially on special days like Christmas.
When they arrived that afternoon, the first thing Maureen said was that I missed a spot at a shelf, pointing to a dust-free space. Anyways, I tried to act as cool as possible and even thanked her for her remark, adding I would take a note for the next time.
Midjourney
Greg, his parents, and his two brothers sat at the perfectly arranged table and couldn’t wait to try my specialties.
It was then that I raised a glass and said I did my best with the $50 my husband gave me and told me to work my magic. Yes, he believed that a Christmas feast was only worth that much money.
His brothers exchanged looks and I told everyone that I was treated as a personal maid and chef for way too long. Then, I revealed that the food was from a restaurant, took my purse, and left the house.
When I got in my car, I headed to the park where I used to find my peace. I opened the bottle of wine I had taken with me and I poured myself a glass.

My phone went crazy. I received so many messages from Greg. They went from anger to desperation.
But I didn’t answer back.
Later that evening, I returned home. Greg was already asleep and the table was still set; the turkey untouched. The chairs were pushed as though the guests were in a hurry to leave the so much anticipated Christmas feast.
In the morning, I told Greg it was done. I filed for divorce and for the first time in two years, I stopped fearing the holidays. I never felt so liberated before.

Reports are that over 5,000 buildings, including homes, businesses, and landmarks have also been destroyed.
Authorities believe that the Kenneth fire, that threatens homes near Calabasas and Hidden Hills was set on purpose by a man that has since been arrested. The suspect was detained by the locals until police arrived. He was seen riding a bicycle and carrying a torch, trying to lit garbage cans and old Christmas trees.
Among those who lost their homes are a number of celebrities, among which Anna Faris, Eugene Levy, Paris Hilton, and Billy Crystal.

Tycoon David Steiner is surprised his property remained untouched by the raging flames.
When a local contractor sent him a video from the fire on January 7, Steiner, a retired retired waste-management businessman, was certain his three-story home was doomed, but that’s not what happened.
“[The contractor] was watching the news reports and saw my neighbor’s house going down and told me, ‘It looks like your house is going too’,” Steiner stated to the New York Post.
Soon, people started calling him on the phone, telling him his home was all over the news.
“I started getting pictures and realised we had made it through,” Steiner continued. “My wife sent me something this morning that said, ‘Last house standing’. And it brought a pretty big smile to my face at a pretty bad time.”
He believes that the house survived due to its cruise ship-like construction.
“It has an ‘ultra-sturdy construction’ and was built to withstand earthquakes,” the father of three said.
He explained that “It’s stucco and stone with a fireproof roof,” and boasts pilings ‘like 50 feet into the bedrock’ which keep it steady when strong waves crash in.
“To be totally honest with you, I never in a million years thought a wildfire would jump to the Pacific Coast Highway and start a fire,” Steiner said. “I thought, ‘If we ever have an earthquake, this would be the last thing to go’. I honestly didn’t think that if we had a fire, this would be the last thing to go. And it was.
Reuters
“The architecture is pretty nice. But the stucco and fireproof roof are real nice.”
When people texted him, saying they were praying for him, Steiner said he’d only lose a property, not his home. He didn’t have family memories there. He says we need to pray for those who have lost their homes.

The food we consume plays a significant, if nor crucial, role in maintaining good health. Having said that, moderation is the key. Consuming too much of certain food can affect our overall well-being.
We should all strive for a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains if we want to maintain good physical and mental health.
Speaking of foods that can have a negative impact on our body, there is a certain Thai dish that is so dangerous to consume it is believed to take the lives of 20,000 people each year.
The ingredients themselves don’t impose any danger, except for one key component.
This dish, known as Koi Pla, is made of raw fish, lemon juice, herbs, and spices, but it is considered a salad by the people living in modern-day Laos and Isan. Sometimes, galangal, shallots, and mint are used for added flavor.
The fish used to prepare this dish is caught from a body of water in the Mekong region which contains parasitic flatworms.
Sadly, people consume this dish, they are likely to end up with the parasites in their body. These parasites attack the liver and cause liver cancer.
This type of cancer is mostly present in people of East Asia.
Doctor Narong Khuntikeo is trying to raise awareness of the dangers of Koi Pla. His own parents died of liver cancer after consuming this dish.
Unfortunately, the Lao people won’t listen. They simply won’t give up their tradition of preparing and consuming this dish that can lead them to death.
“It’s a very big health burden around here,” Dr. Khuntikeo told Agence France-Presse. “But nobody knows about this because they die quietly, like leaves falling from a tree.”
In 2017, the doctor, along with a group of scientists, performed ultrasound scans and urine tests at the people of the region where the dish is consumed on a daily basis.
The results showed that around 80 percent of the people from different communities have had the parasite.
When sharing the findings with the residents, most of them won’t care.
“Oh well, there are many ways to die,” one of them said. “I’ve never been checked before, so I think I will probably have it because I’ve been eating (koi pla) since I was little,” another added.

Catherine De Noire is a brothel manager. The place is legal and over the years she’s been running it, she’s learned a lot about the behavior of married man and what exact time they tend to cheat on their partners.
First, if you wonder how De Noire’s business is actually legal, have in mind that six of Nevada’s seventeen counties allow brothels to run.
In certain countries, such as The Netherlands, s*x work is legal. In the capital, Amsterdam, there is a ‘red light district.’ Germany, New Zealand, and Singapore are yet other countries who allow brothels to function legally.
Speaking of the brothel she runs, De Noire explained that it has 100 rooms.
It is closed between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., a time during which the rooms are cleaned.
The places “busy hour” doesn’t come until midday, the time when office workers take their lunch break. The next time it gets busy is between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
“Men who finish work early often stop by. These are usually married men who need to go home on time, so they can’t stay for the night,” she explained.
Evening shift workers visit the brothel between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. After that, the place gets quite crowded again between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m.
“A few hundred clients arrive, many of whom have been partying elsewhere first. Most of the staff — including bartenders, receptionists and cleaners — are super busy,” she said.
At around 5 a.m. the place is empty. The women who work there have around an hour to discuss how the day had been with the rest of the workers.
“In case of an emergency or a heated situation, workers are instructed to press the panic button. The eight-second rule refers to the time frame within which our security team must arrive at the room after the panic button is pressed,” she explained.
In the comments section of her video, De Noire stated that the panic button isn’t used more than twice a month. So far, they “never experienced any serious cases of aggression.”

My grandfather’s funeral seemed surreal. How could the man that I loved so much be gone forever? He was the only person who saw me for who I really was. The only man who had ever believed in me.
The red rose I brought to my grandfather’s funeral stood among the white daisies everyone else brought and placed on the coffin.

That chilly October morning reminded me of the loss, and I was doing my best not to cry.
The rest of the family wasn’t even paying any attention to the ceremony. They were looking at each other, concerned they all received $1 each.
“One damn dollar,” aunt Nancy said. “That old man was loaded, and what did we end up with? Just a lousy dollar.”
Uncle Vic was as angry and as disappointed as the rest of the family. “I know he did this on purpose. He was a spiteful old man.”
“That’s typical of dad,” my mom said, and then turned to me and asked, “Dahlia, do you know anything of your grandpa’s money? You were his little pet, he loved you more than he loved anyone else…”
Before she could even continue, uncle Vic yelled, “Of course she knows that old man’s plans and secrets. Tell us everything, NOW!” he demanded.
But I knew nothing. I just couldn’t believe how everyone was only concerned about inheritance on my grandfather’s funeral.
Midjourney
“What did he leave you Dahlia. How much money did you get?” aunt Nancy kept asking.
“I got what everyone else had,” I said, too busy mourning the loss of the person that mattered the most to me.
“Maybe he told you something… think hard, Dahlia. You owe it to your family to share whatever he gave you,” my mom said, as he continued taping my shoulder.
My grandpa sometimes spoke of a hidden treasure. His words sometimes echoed in my head, “One day, kiddo, I’m leaving you a treasure. Real treasure!” he’d say. But that was just a game. There was no real treasure
When they had enough of being at the cemetery, they all left, mumbling how awful my grandpa was because he didn’t leave them his money.
But I stayed. I needed more time to say my last goodbye.
Midjjourney
As I stood there, crushed, a woman I had never seen before approached me. “You must be Dahlia,” she said. “You grandpa knew you’d be the last to stay.”
She introduced herself as an old friend on my grandpa and told me he wanted her to give me something.
The woman handed me a letter. It read, 111 locker — Southern Railway Station.
My heart started pounding. Was this has to do anything with the treasure my grandpa often mentioned?
I went home, took my dress off, put on some jeans, and sneaked out of the house.
Pexels
My mother was on the phone with someone, talking about my grandfather’s funeral, complaining about the money he didn’t leave her.
I took a taxi and headed towards the station that smelled like gasoline.
Rushing, I went to the lockers that all looked exactly the same. When I finally spotted the one labeled 111, I opened it with the key from the envelope.
Inside was a bag full of cash. Piles and piles of it. God knew hos much money was there.
As I took it in my hands, I recalled my grandpa’s words, “Your family doesn’t see your worth, kiddo. Live free.”
Midjourney
That money really brought me freedom. I felt suffocated in my own home where everyone always treated me like a scapegoat. No more forced family dinners, no more pretending that I enjoyed the presence of my aunts and uncles. I was free.
the taxi took me to my house, but I didn’t enter it. Instead, I asked to be taken to the airport. I was about to book a flight and leave my toxic family behind.
My grandpa knew I needed that, and he made it happen.

In recent years, an increasing number of young people have been diagnosed with early-onset colorectal cancer.
Experts are researching the possible causes that led particular demographic to face a growing threat of this type of cancer.
Research show that individuals under the age of 50 are mostly affected by colorectal cancer and it is believed that this “trend” has a lot to do with shift in environmental, lifestyle, or possibly genetic factors.
Those born in the latter half of the 20th century face heightened risks.
As per the American Cancer Society, colorectal cancer starts in the colon. “Most colorectal cancers start as a growth on the inner lining of the colon or rectum. These growths are called polyps.”
While polyps are quite common and often noncancerous, some can turn into cancer over time.
Historically, this form of cancer was typical for the older population, but as more and more young people are diagnosed with it, researchers are rethinking screening recommendations and are looking for different treatment approaches.
Dr. Jeremy Kortmansky of Yale School of Medicine explains that colorectal cancer typically exhibits aggressive histological features, which is why it is often diagnosed in later stages.
The symptoms can be rectal bleeding, changes in bowel habits, diarrhea, or constipation. It is very likely these symptoms to be mistaken for less severe issues like hemorrhoids or irritable bowel syndrome.
Rebecca Siegel from the American Cancer Society believes that the increase of early-onset colorectal cancer at young people can be related to the lifestyle changes introduced in the mid-20th century.
Over the years, the Western diet has undergone significant changes. It included more processed foods and sugars, notably high-fructose corn syrup, which became a widespread product used during the 70s. Researchers link this shift to obesity and metabolic disorders, which are both risk factors for colorectal cancer.
Another risk factor is the sedentary lifestyle.
Studies suggest that it may take years before such changes manifest as cancer, which explains the recent raise of cases of this type of cancer at young people.
Of course, as with any other cancer, genetics can play significant role at colorectal cancer.
Obesity increases cancer risk by altering hormones like insulin, promoting cell growth. Chronic inflammation caused by fat tissue also contributes to this risk. A study in JAMA Oncology found that obesity nearly doubles the risk of early-onset colorectal cancer.
In order to avoid the risks of developing colorctal cancer, one needs to focus on fiber-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Further, to limit red and processed meats, be physically active, quit smoking and alcohol consumption, as well as manage stress.
It is always of crucial importance to prioritize prevention, and that can be done by adapting to an active and healthy lifestyle.

Throwing tantrums before daycare turned into an everyday struggle, so when Marla Evans checked the clock and looked at her son, who was crying and screaming, she knew she would be late to work again.
Johnny used to love going to daycare, but something changed during the last couple of weeks.
All of a sudden, he found the facility repulsive. Not only he didn’t want to go, but he cried without stopping, begging Marla not to take him there.
Marla even took him to the doctor’s, who convinced her her son was going through his “terrible threes.” My this mom knew there was more to her son’s behavior.
“Johnny, I’ll come for you earlier today,” she said as she tried to convince him to let her help him get ready.
“Mom,” he said through heavy weeping, “will you come before lunch?”
When he mentioned lunch, it made Marla wonder if her son had issues with the food there. He wasn’t a picky eater, but he didn’t eat much. It could be anything, so who knew?
That day, Marla talked to her boss, who was also a mom of a toddler, and explained what was going on. She asked if she could take the afternoon off so that she could take Johnny from daycare earlier, as she promised to him.
Her boss said it was fine, and Marla headed towards the daycare when she knew they were having lunch.
Marla walked to the dining room and peered in. All the kids were seated at the tables and eating. And then, she noticed her son.
There was a woman Marla didn’t recognize, so she thought she had to be the new teacher.
As Marla watched, the woman grabbed the spoon and yelled at Johnny, “Eat! Just eat when I say so!” When he refused, she forced him to open his mouth and fed him by force. Johnny tried to keep his jaw firmly closed as tears rolled down his tiny face.
At one moment, it seemed like Johnny chocked on the food.
Marla stormed inside the dining room. “What do you think you are doing?” she asked the teacher. “Get away from my son.”
The teacher tried to defend herself, claiming it was her job to feed the children.
“Don’t you see he’s had enough?” Marla said. “My son is perfectly healthy and not a big eater. As a teacher at a daycare, you should know how traumatic forced-feeding can be.”
Marla spoke to the daycare’s principal. “I’m not sending my son to daycare to be traumatized,” she snapped.

Once this mom learned what made her son hate daycare all of a sudden and solve the issue, Johnny’s smile returned. There were no more crying and tantrums.

No matter how dull things might seem, what we should never forget is that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and that light finally came to a man with a heart of gold who was willing to sacrifice his children’s lunch for the day in order to help a complete stranger.
In the past, Sean had a high paying job as a manager. He, together with his wife and children, lived in a comfortable apartment in Oakland and life felt great until his wife got sick. Unfortunately, her diagnosis required staying at the hospital for a long time and receiving expensive treatments, which forced Sean to sell his home.
Sadly, even then, his wife didn’t make it. She passed away, leaving Sean and the kids behind.
Pexels
With no place to stay, Sean, who resigned from his job prior to his wife’s passing in order to be able to take care of her, ended on the streets. He and his kids moved to a tent at a tent community and struggled to make ends meet.
What’s most, he was unable to find a job and could only work part-time while his kids were at school.
One day, this single father and the kids went to the nearest gas station to get some cheap hot-dogs for lunch. As Sean headed to the store at the station, he noticed an old man in distress. Hesitant whether to approach him, he looked at him for a few seconds and decided to ask if he were in trouble.
The thing was that the old man needed to take his pills, but he forgot his wallet at home and couldn’t pay for the bottle of water.
Instead of offering help, the cashier started yelling at the stranger and threw him away.
Pexels
“Alright, sir. I only have $2, but you can have it,” Sean said while taking the last two dollars out of his pocket.
“I appreciate it! Thank you!” the stranger said. “No problem,” Sean answered.
“I only had a few coins in the car, but with this, I can have the bottle of water,” the man graciously accepted the donation. “So that I may pay you back, could you kindly provide me with your contact details?”
Sean gave the stranger, who introduced himself as Matthew, his phone number and saw him leaving.
The following morning, Sean was woken up by the sound of two jeeps. Some men got out of them and handed Sean a letter.
The letter asked from him to be at a certain place at particular time that day.
Sean did as he was told. When he arrived at the location, he realized it was Matthew who invited him there. Matthew appeared to be working for a very successful company. Once inside, Matthew told him that he was the owner and he was now looking for someone to start a new business with. As expected, he wanted that person to be Sean.
Pexels
“While I doubt I’d be able to refuse such an offer, wouldn’t it be better to have a financially stable partner?” Sean inquired.
“Money, eh?” Matthew said raising an eyebrow. “That rich man in a Lexus would not even offer me a few bucks to pay for a bottle of water before you showed up. You, nonetheless, gave me your last few bucks that day. To me, that’s more important than any sum of money that any investor could give. I want to put more heart into my business, not just more money.”
Sean accepted the offer. Not long after that, he was able to rent an apartment for him and his children and help some of the people he spent his days with while living in the tent. He even offered some of them jobs at the new company.
Never in his wildest dreams did this man believe that what seemed like a simple act of kindness could go such a long way and change his life forever.

LAPD have made an arrest of a man in the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles for suspected arson connected to the Kenneth Fire, which is now advancing toward Hidden Hills and Calabasa.
According to the authorities, the fire, that has since been spreading uncontrollably due to the high winds, was lit on purpose.
Speaking to NewsNation Charles Dinsel, a senior lead officer in the LAPD, said: “What we know right now is that the incident occurred, started here, and about 20 minutes [to] 30 minutes later a suspect was detained over the Woodland Hills area by citizens.”
As per Fox News, the arrest happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, near the area of Arcos Drive and Galendo Street. The residents in the area witnessed a man on a bicycle carrying a torch and trying to lit old Christmas trees and garbage cans on fire. Luckily, they managed to stop him and even zip-tie him.
They detained the man until police arrived at the scene.
Authorities didn’t reveal the suspect’s identity. They are investigating whether he started other fires as well.

Initially, the LAPD stated, “There’s no way to know at this moment exactly where and how the series of fires started, but an investigation is underway.”
Celebrities such as Henry Winkler, Chris Brown, and Elizabeth Chambers pointed to intentional arson, leading to this response.
The death toll of the LA wildfires reached 10 and left many injured. Unfortunately, it is still uncontrolled despite the efforts by the firefighters to stop it.
So far, the wildfires destroyed at least 10,000 buildings, including iconic landmarks.
“We are expecting this fire to rapidly spread due to high winds,” LA Mayor Karen Bass said.
Authorities believe that the Kenneth Fire, the latest in the series of fires that destroyed parts of LA, have originated in the San Fernando Valley, adjacent to Ventura County and the West Hills neighborhood in northwest Los Angeles.

The Kenneth Fire is burning north of the Palisades Fire.
Cal Fire reports that the Lidia Fire, the northernmost blaze, is now 75% contained and no longer classified as a California Fire incident.
As of now, Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire remain the largest blazes and represent a significant threat.

Thousands of residents of LA who are staying at evacuation centers due to the raging wildfires have a hard time understanding how they would rebuild their lives and homes.
Speaking to CNN, Kimiko Warner-Turner, a Pasadena resident, said, “Just imagine if you go to the front door and behind it, it’s nothing, and you walk in and you have your car keys, but there’s no place to put it, and then there’s no place to lay your head, and you don’t have a blanket, a towel.
“The life that you had is just gone.”

Among the celebrities who lost their homes in the LA wildfires, which are of enormous proportions and uncontrolled because of the dry conditions and powerful winds, are Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Anthony Hopkins, Billy Crystal, Ricki Lake, and Diane Warren.
They have all shared their heartbreak over the devastation of the entire community.
Billy Crystal, who lost his home of 46 years on January 8, described it as a place filled with love, memories, and family. The actor and comedian expressed hope and praised the resilience of the community.

Renowned songwriter Diane Warren posted a throwback photo of a rainbow shining on a rock on her beach-house of 30 years that she lost. She wrote she’s glad the LA wildfires spared local animals and rescue centers.
Mandy Moore’s family home in Altadena was also destroyed completely. Her post called for community support.
Ricki Lake’s home, which she described as “heaven on Earth” was among the thousands of homes that burned down. Lake praised the efforts of the firefighters and expressed gratitude for her family’s safety amid the tragedy that struck the City of Angels.

Paris Hilton watched live on TV as the fires destroyed her Malibu home.
All these celebrities, as well as other stars, used their platforms to raise awareness and funds. They believe in the power of community and hope their personal tragedies can lead to collective actions of support, and help overcome the hardships the LA wildfires brought.

California Governor Gavin Newsom stated that fire season in the state has become a “year-round” occurrence. Even though this period typically doesn’t experience such fire, he highlighted the influence of climate change.

On Tuesday morning, live webcams showed how a backyard spark – which started as a grey smoke – spread uncontrollably and turned into a devastating wildfire.
It only took minutes before what appeared as smoke turned into a thick cloud, and flames started whipping up the dry plants and bushes.
The wildfire is “spreading at a speed beyond anything we’ve seen… it’s now unlike anything we have seen in our lifetime,” LA Fire Chief Kristin Crowley said.
Reuters
Unfortunately, the prospect of the out-of-control wildfire to be stopped in the days to come seems like a mission impossible due to the weather conditions.
So far, roughly 179,783 residents are under evacuation order in Los Angeles County. Another 200,000 are under evacuation warning, meaning they would need to evacuate at any moment, BBC reported.
At least five people lost their lives and dozens are injured.

The Palisades wildfire, the largest of the blazes in the south of LA, destroyed thousands of homes, businesses, and other structures alone.
At the time being, there are five active fires on the territory of the City of Angels.
Last summer, podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan recounted a conversation he had with an LA firefighter. Speaking to guest and fellow comedian Sam Morril, Rogan recalled the firefighter saying to him, “One day, it’s just gonna be the right wind and fire’s gonna start in the right place and it’s gonna burn through LA all the way to the ocean and there’s not a f***ing thing we can do about it.
“If the wind hits the wrong way, it’s just going to burn through LA.”

Sadly, these predictions came true.
According to experts, besides the weather conditions, the climate change has a lot to do with the wildfire spreading in January.
“Climate change, including increased heat, extended drought, and a thirsty atmosphere, has been a key driver in increasing the risk and extent of wildfires in the western United States,” the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said.

As per the Daily Mail, citing experts on the topic, heavy rains from El Niño last year fueled vegetation growth in the Los Angeles area, which dried out since then and turned highly flammable.
Once the wildfire started, Southern California faced the wrath of ‘devil winds,’ known formally as Santa Ana winds, dry, warm gusts blowing inland from the northeast, contrary to the region’s usual cooler winds originating from the Pacific Ocean.

Purchasing an old stroller led to unexpected things.
As if life wasn’t hard enough for Miriam and John, who were struggling to make ends meet and worked long hours and double shifts after they learned they were expecting a baby, John was involved in an accident that changed their lives completely.
Miriam and John met when they were still teenagers, but they both knew they belonged with one another.
When John proposed with a silver ring, Miriam was over the moon. She loved that ring more than anything, and she didn’t care it wasn’t an expensive one.
When Miriam fell pregnant, they started working even harder than before in order to be able to afford a house.
Miriam worked at the warehouse, and although it was hard, she knew she was doing it for the sake of the family.
Midjourney
One day, which started like any other, Miriam went to the doctor’s for the regular ultra sound. He told her everything was fine, and she left the hospital, eager to get home as soon as possible and take some break.
But just as she left the doctor’s room, she got a call.
“Miriam?” a woman’s voice from the other side of the line asked.
“Yes, it’s me,” Miriam replied. And then the woman told her to get to the STSV Hospital. John was involved in an accident and was seriously injured.
Miriam panicked. She got inside a cab and headed to the hospital where John was, but the moment she got out of the vehicle she collapsed.
The next thing she remembered was waking up at a cold room.
“Where’s my baby?” she started yelling when she noticed her flat stomach.
“Your baby is doing fine. We were forced to perform an emergency C-section after you collapsed. Your girl is at the NICU and she’s stable.”
Miriam felt a sense of relief, but she then recalled the reason she went to the hospital in the first place. She started calling John’s name, and then a doctor came and took her to her husband.
Sadly, John’s injuries were so severe that he was left paralyzed from the waist down.
It was the best and the worst day of Miriam’s life.

A couple of weeks later, both John and the baby got home.
John was angry because of his condition, but Miriam assured him she was there for him.
She struggled juggling between work, her baby, and the house, but she somehow managed.
One day, she went to the flea market in hopes of getting a stroller for her baby girl.
To her surprise, she found one that only cost $10. Miriam didn’t hesitate. She handed the money to the seller and went straight home to clean it.
Once home, she noticed there was something inside the stroller.
Midjourney
“What could this be?” she asked John, who was eager to learn what was going on with the stroller.
And then, Miriam found an envelope. Inside were ten $100 bills and a note. The note read: “If you are reading this, then you bought the stroller, and sadly, it means you are a struggling parent. But don’t worry. Here’s a little help from me. If you believe you really need the money, then use them wisely. If not, then send them to the shelter whose address is included in this letter. Best of luck in your life.”
“Miriam, that’s a lot of money,” John said. “We could buy everything for our daughter.”
But Miriam hesitated whether to take the money. “John, at least we have a roof over our heads. Maybe someone else would need this money more than we do,” she said.
Eventually, Miriam decided to send the money to the shelter mentioned in the letter.

Life went on, and she even forgot about the stroller, until one day someone knocked on the door.
It was a nicely dressed woman driving an expensive car.
“Miriam?” she said. “Did you buy a stroller at the flea market?”
Miriam was confused. She said she did, and wondered how did the woman know that.
It was then that the woman, who introduced herself as the owner of a popular clothing company, told her that she was the one who put the money there.
She was once married and had a daughter, but both her husband and daughter passed away.
The woman would place money inside worn out objects with the same note as the one Miriam received when she bought the stroller, but none of them ever gave the money away. Miriam was the first one.
Midjourney
When the woman noticed how humble Miriam’s home was and how much she struggled, she knew Miriam had a heart of gold. She could use the money herself, but she still decided to help someone else.
Learning this, the woman offered Miriam a high-paying job in her company. She said she needed someone humble, honest, and reliable, and Miriam possessed all of those traits.
Who knew that purchasing an old stroller could change Miriam and John’s lives in unexpected ways.

When it comes to our health, certain symptoms we often overlook can serve as warning signs that it’s time to visit a doctor.
How often do you pay attention to any changes that happen to your feet and toes?
I guess this part of our body is sometimes overlooked. However, these changes can say a lot about our overall health.
Noel Wicks, a pharmacist and advisor to Excilor, spoke to the Express about the warning signs our feet can hold. Who knew that beyond our socks and shoes there were secrets about our wekk-being?
“We need to keep an eye on our foot health, including our toenails, because it can impact on our overall health and be a sign of [serious] health issues,” Wicks said.
As per NHS, “Many people with PAD have no symptoms. However, some develop a painful ache in their legs when they walk, which usually disappears after a few minutes’ rest. The medical term for this is ‘intermittent claudication.’
“The pain can range from mild to severe, and usually goes away after a few minutes when you rest your legs. Both legs are often affected at the same time, although the pain may be worse in one leg.”
Other symptoms we shouldn’t overlook include tingling, pain, and burning sensations. Dry or cracked skin, as well as blisters or sores that fail to heal, may say a lot too.
Fungal infections and athlete’s foot can also be warning signs of something more serious happening with our body.
Actress Valerie Bertinelli, 64, caused a stir on the social media after posting a photo of herself in underwear.
According to her, she wanted to spread a message of self-acceptance and gratitude for her journey throughout the years that was filled with plenty of emotional and physical challenges.
However, what Valerie Bertinelli believed would be an image of a candid reflection of her body turned into a heated discussion among people on Instagram about whether a photo like that was appropriate or not.
A Bold Statement in Self-Acceptance
In her now-viral Instagram post, Valerie Bertinelli posed confidently in front of a mirror, holding a box of hair dye. The unfiltered photo showcased her without makeup, emphasizing her embrace of natural beauty. She captioned the post:
“At some point I will talk about the madness my body has been through this year. But right now, every lump, bump, wrinkle and saggy part of me just feels acceptance and simple appreciation to be standing in front of a mirror in a hotel bathroom in downtown Manhattan, ready to color my roots late on a Monday night.”
The post highlighted the progress in Valerie Bertinelli body image journey and was met with mixed reactions. While many followers praised her for sharing such an honest and bold moment, others labeled the photo as inappropriate or unnecessary.
Mixed Reactions to Valerie Bertinelli’s Post
The responses to Bertinelli’s photo revealed the polarizing nature of such self-expressions. Critics commented:
“That’s great for you, but you don’t have to show everyone.”
“Why do we want to see an old lady wearing her pants online? Disgusting.”
“Have you lost your mind posting this photo? Get some therapy.”
Others accused her of seeking validation. A particularly harsh critic wrote, “Honestly, you’re quite lovely, but why do you need to post an underwear picture for compliments?”
However, there was also an outpouring of support. Fans left comments like, “Looking fabulous!!🔥❤️🔥,” and “You are definitely an inspiration to us all.🥰,” applauding her boldness and her journey to self-acceptance.
Valerie Bertinelli’s Body Image Journey
Valerie Bertinelli’s Instagram post represents a pivotal moment in her years-long journey toward self-love. Despite her stunning appearance, she struggled with body image issues growing up and even throughout her Hollywood career.
“This is what I have; I so love my brain and my body carries my brain. I so love my heart, and this body is what carries my heart,” she shared. “It’s aging; that’s what we all do; that’s all it’s doing.”
Her battle with body image led her to write the book “Enough Already: Learning to Love the Way I Am Today.” In it, Bertinelli shared how her life in the public eye shaped her self-perception and the gradual realization that she was much more than her appearance.
Breaking Free from Societal Pressure
As a child and teen actress on One Day at a Time, Bertinelli faced criticism about her weight. “I remember my fifth grade teacher patting me on the belly and saying, ‘You might want to keep an eye on that,’” she recalled. She also spoke about being pressured into smaller clothing sizes on set.
Through therapy and self-discovery, Bertinelli broke free from these societal pressures. She now measures progress not by the scale but by how her clothes fit and how she feels in her body.
Inspiring Confidence Through Role Models
Valerie Bertinelli credits the confidence and self-love of plus-size celebrities for helping her embrace her body. She expressed gratitude for their influence and noted how much she wished for similar role models during her childhood.
“These individuals radiate inner beauty no matter their size,” she said, adding that their presence today is a beacon of inspiration for those on their own self-acceptance journeys.
A New Chapter in Self-Love
Valerie Bertinelli has also reframed her relationship with food. Once a source of struggle, food has become a passion for her, particularly through her work on the Food Network. She now focuses on the love and joy her body allows her to give and receive.
Her goal is to inspire others to embrace their imperfections and practice self-compassion. By sharing her story, Bertinelli hopes to connect with those who need encouragement in their own journeys toward body acceptance.

My husband went on vacation all by himself, and I taught him a lesson to remember.
After a long and tiring 12-hour-shift at the ER, I came home to the usual chaos. Toys all over the living room, and snack wrappers in every corner.
“Rough day?” my husband, Garrett, said, not bothering to lift his head from his phone.
Trying to stay calm, I replied: “Yes, the ER was a madhouse.”
My kids, Zach and Penny, were shrieking as they chased each other around the house.
The moment they saw me, they started yelling, “Mom, we are starving!”
I was barely standing on my feet, and now my kids wanted me to prepare dinner. “Garrett, did you feed the kids?” I asked. With the can of beer in his hand, he said, “Yea, they had some chips. I thought you wanted to cook when you get home.”
I felt tired from this life. Garrett never bothered to lift a finger. All he did while at home was watching TV on the couch, and that was it.
As we had dinner, I looked at my kids and my husband and thought to myself that things might change for the better following the vacation we’ve been planning for quite some time. Maybe some away time would remind Garrett why he fell for me in the first place.
But sadly, that evening, Penny got sick. Withing an hour, Zach’s face went pale too. He didn’t feel right either.
In the morning, I realized that they couldn’t go on vacation like that, so over breakfast I suggested we postpone the trip.
“What!?” Garrett yelled. “No way, I was looking forward to this vacation for way too long.”
I tried to explain to him that the kids were too sick to be able to travel that day, but he didn’t care. “You stay home with them. I’ll go and I promise I’ll enjoy for both of us.”
Honestly, I thought he was just joking. But no, my husband was dead serious. He was going on the vacation all by himself.
I watched in disbelief while he was packing his suitcase. My kids were disappointed, nearly crying over the failed vacation.
Garrett left, and I was there all by myself, struggling to juggle between the house and the kids.
On day two of my husband’s vacation, he posted a photo of himself enjoying a cocktail with the caption, Living the dream.
I went to the garage – his man cave – and took photos of all of his belongings, including the fishing gear, the boat he barely used, and almost all of his expensive junk that he had accumulated over the years. Then, I listed every item on buy-and-sell groups on the social media, and in no time, I sold everything he owned.
I got plenty of money to be able to take my kids on vacation. If Garrett could go, so could we.
I booked a resort and hoped for the best.
Luckily, the kids loved it. They had so much fun there.
Pexels
One day while by the pool, Garrett’s name appeared on my phone’s screen. No greeting, nothing, his words were: “What the hell, Nora, where are my things?”
He didn’t even ask where I or the kids were. He only cared for his belongings.
“I sold them,” I said.
“What!? You must be kidding.”
“No, Garrett, I’m not. And I took the kids on vacation with the money, so they could also be living the dream.”
He was mad beyond words, but I didn’t care. What’s most, I told him we were better off without one another.
Pexels
“This isn’t over, Nora. You’ll regret this.”
But his threats didn’t scare me. I was done being taken for granted.
I had no idea what future held for me and the kids, but one thing was certain, Garrett didn’t belong there any longer.

The life at the shelter felt like a huge burden for Stuart. He was already 13-years-old and he had spent too much time in that place. After years of losing trust in people and building walls around him, he was finally given a permanent home, but he never truly accepted his adoptive mother.
When he first walked inside the shelter as a five-year-old boy, all Stuart had was his tattered teddy bear, which was old and worn, but served as a shield from the outer world this young boy was unfamiliar with.
While the rest of the children were cheerful, he never joined any of their games. Instead, he was always all by himself, refusing to make any friends.
It was as though he accepted the solitude as something that was inevitable.
Over the years, he witnessed many of the children being taken to foster homes or getting adopted, but no one ever approached Stuart. And just as he lost hope, a woman named Jennifer visited the shelter.
She could see the pain in his lovely eyes that didn’t have the spark most children his age had.
Jennifer approached him and attempted to start a conversation, but Stuart shut her out, refusing to speak.
However, after realizing she wouldn’t quit easily, he asked her why she was there and if she was like the rest of the people who come to the shelter and then just leave and never look back.
Extending her hand towards him, she assured him she was there to stay if he wanted to.
But after many disappointments, Stuart doubted the sincerity of her words.
“If you want to come home with me, I’ll be there,” Jennifer said.
Stuart looked her in the eyes and asked, “But why do you want me? Everyone says I’m a sad child.”
His words broke Jennifer’s heart.
“I want you more than anything in this world,” she said.
Stuart felt a glimpse of hope after eight long years spent at the shelter. He was finally getting a place to call home, but sadly, he never accepted Jennifer as his mother.
Jennifer, however, never lost hope. She knew more time needed to pass before Stuart’s wounds healed completely. She prayed that his little heart start to open up. But as years passed, the emotional walls Stuart built around him only grew stronger. He was never close to his adoptive mother and refused any help she has ever offered.
One evening, while doing his homework, Jennifer sat next to him, but he threw the papers across the room, telling her he could handle things on his own.
Many times, he would remind her that she was just his adoptive mother, not his real one, and that he wasn’t her son.
Every time he uttered those words, a piece of her fragile heart broke.
When he learned that Jennifer was seriously ill, he still treated her as nothing but a stranger, unable to embrace her love.
Sadly, Jennifer passed away shortly after she learned of her cancer diagnosis. On her funeral, Stuart stood in a corner, silent and with not a single tear in his eyes.
Spotting him there, Jennifer’s best friend, Carol, remembered Jennifer’s final request: to help Stuart learn how much she loved him.
A few days passed by and Carol, who was appointed as Stuart’s guardian, visited him. “Stuart, you should visit your mom’s grave. Se left something for you there.”
Intrigued, Stuart headed towards the cemetery. Indeed, there was an envelop on the grave of his adoptive mother. He grabbed it and opened it, his cold demeanor still unaffected.
But as he opened the letter and started going through the carefully written words, Stuart finally broke in tears.
In the letter, Jennifer wrote of the pain she felt when she left him at the shelter with a promise to return for him when she would stand on her feet. She struggled financially and emotionally and couldn’t take care of him, but she loved him even before he was born.
The moment Stuart realized Jennifer wasn’t his adoptive mother, but the woman who gave birth to him, he was totally crushed.
He regretted every second in which he refused her affection and pushed her away.
But it was already late for anything to be changed.
From that moment on, he visited her grave often, finally learning the depth oh her love for him.

But then, New Year Eve’s came, and things got heated between us.
His mom and dad called and invited us out. To my surprise, they chose the fanciest restaurant in town.
“Claire, you are going to love it,” my mother-in-law, Karen, gushed over the phone.
And yes, I did love the place. The moment we entered, I was stunned by the lights that sparkled like diamonds and the live music, which was soft but lovely.
I knew the prices were outrageous, but it was New Year’s Eve, and it was just one day of the year, so I thought I would deal with whatever came later.
When the waiter brought the menu, I was shocked by how expensive everything was. And then, cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and desserts kept coming.
No matter how much I tried to push aside my worries over the prices, I simply couldn’t.
The evening was a delightful one. My father-in-law, Tom, was sharing stories about his games of golf, and Karen talked about some local gossips. Somehow, I felt like I finally fit in.
But then, the bill came, and things got the wrong turn.
The waiter placed it in the middle of the table, and no one reached for it. I was looking at Ethan, but he was ignoring me because of some reason. And then, Karen took it and leaned towards me, saying, “Claire, darling, since you’ve inherited money recently, I believe this should be on you. It would be nice if you treat your family dinner.”
Pexels
I froze. Ethan didn’t say anything. It was as though he agreed with his mother.
“It’s not a big deal,” Karen said, “you should share your blessing with your family.”
Tom turned to me and added, “Karen’s right, Claire. It’s not about the money, it’s about bringing us closer.”
But I didn’t agree with them. My mom’s inheritance wasn’t theirs to spend.
Finally, Ethan turned to me and said, “It’s just one dinner, don’t make a big deal out of it.”
Flabbergasted, I reached for my wallet, but then I changed my mind. “Actually, no. I’m not paying for everyone’s dinner.”
Freepik
They all looked at me as though I committed a crime. But somehow, I didn’t care.
Ever since I got my mom’s inheritance, Ethan pretended it was his. He made plans on how to spend it, and now he involved his parents as well. It was something I wasn’t willing to accept.
They called me selfish, but I didn’t say anything, I just left.
Shortly after, Ethan called me on the phone. Instead of an apology, he accused me of embarrassing him in front of his parents.
Pexels
But it wasn’t about the bill that I could easily covered, it was about the lack of respect my husband and my in-laws had for me.
“I think we need some space,” Ethan said over the phone. Surprisingly, I felt a strange sense of relief. “I think you are right,” I said. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I belonged to that kind of marriage.

That old couch that stood in the living room for years was something I was eager to get rid of. It was worn out, and its once soft pale blue hue had turned somewhere between gray and green. The cushions had lost their firmness, and the wooden frame let out a creaky sound that felt unsettling.
I told my husband, Bruce, to get rid of that couch a thousand times, and his answer was never a ‘no.’ He would assure me he was going to take care of it, but somehow, he never did. This was a bit strange knowing how practical he has always been.
When it eventually started smelling like mold, I was determined to get rid of it myself. “Today is the day,” I told myself as I called the local hauling company.
Luckily, they had an available slot that afternoon, and it seemed like the perfect timing. I hope that when Bruce arrived, he would be glad I did the job without bothering him, but sadly, it wasn’t like that.
The moment he entered the house and noticed the couch wasn’t there, he went into a state of pure panic.
“Where’s the couch?” he started yelling, and I was shocked by his reaction, which I believed was overwhelming.
“Bruce, what’s wrong?” I asked. “The couch was old and smelly, and I never knew it meant so much to you.”
He just looked at me and said, “You’ll never understand how much.”
Bruce was a kind of person who never shared his emotions. He never spoke about his past and his family, so I thought the couch could be a heirloom or something, so I kept asking him about it.
“You need to see it to believe it,” he said as he drove to the landfill, praying our old couch was still there. Luckily, I had the receipt, so the supervisor of the dumping ground let us in.
There, among the piles of garbage waiting to be disposed was the old couch.
Bruce tugged at a corner of the fabric, digging beneath the seat cushions as if he were searching for something important. “Please be here,” he kept repeating. And then, he pulled out an old piece of paper.
Feeling relieved, he said it was a treasure map he and his brother drew when they were kids.
“Your brother? I didn’t know you have a brother!”
“I used to have,” Bruce said, “he’s name was Leo, and he’s no longer around.”
It was then that I learned my husband’s brother died when they were still children. He fell from the oak tree in their yard, and Bruce felt responsible for letting the tragedy take place.
It was because of that event that he became withdrawn and unable to express his emotions.
The piece of paper, or the map, was the only memory he had of Leo.
In the days that followed, Bruce shared the story with our kids, telling them about their uncle Leo. He even reached out to the owners of his family’s old home, and asked them if we could visit the house. They were more than happy to welcome us all.
Bruce, the kids, and I visited the house where Leo lost his life.
Memories of Bruce’s childhood came flooding in, and he was finally able to make peace with himself and accept that his brother’s passing wasn’t his fault.
Ever since the world learned of Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, all eyes have been on her and her husband, Prince William.
Back in January, 2024, the beloved princess underwent a planned abdominal surgery.
Following it, she disappeared from the spotlight.
This caused a stir, with speculations about her health condition and her whereabouts making headlines.

Then, in March, 2024, Kate Middleton disclosed her cancer diagnosis with the public. She asked for privacy while dealing with the treatments. In a video she shared, she said it had taken her time to recover from the surgery and “to explain everything” to her children George, Charlotte and Louis.
“As I said to them, I am well, and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal. In my mind, body and spirits. Having William by my side is a great source of comfort,” Kate said in the video.
Thankfully, she recovered from the cancer and is now attending public events. She has also returned to some of her royal duties.

Although that chapter of her life is behind her, the public has been eager to learn what type of cancer the princess suffered from.
Allegedly, William and Kate broke their silence right before Christmas and shared that the Princess’ diagnosis was a stage two stomach cancer.
The mum-of-three shared her “relief” after finishing her treatment, adding that the last nine months have been “incredibly tough.”
“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Kate said in the video message shared by Kensington Palace in September of last year. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
Kate described her cancer journey as “complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone.”
“This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”
Kate Middleton now focuses on staying cancer free.

Snoop Dogg has built a career far beyond music, showing the world that he’s an awesome father to his four children, and even more awesome grandfather.
In a 2015 interview with Today, the famous rapper rated himself as “about a 7-plus” as a father, highlighting his close bond with all of his kids.
“My relationship with my kids is more important than anything. It’s a friendship relationship… it’s based on me being a father, a mentor, and a friend,” he explained.
In the past, Snoop Dogg opened up about his family and explained that his involvement with the reality show Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood aimed to highlight the personal side of hip-hop artists, showcasing their lives as fathers and partners away from the spotlight.
“I got kids, and I always play my music for them. I like to hear what they like. They think I’m old, but I think I’m young,” he shared with People Magazine.
“Ninety percent of rappers grew up without fathers, but you see ninety percent of those rappers becoming fathers to their kids. We don’t ever get commended for that. We become real men when we get to this level we’re at right now.”
