Senate Blocks Sanders’ Effort to Stop $20 Billion Arms Sale to Israel

Senator Bernie Sanders, an independent from Vermont, has made multiple efforts to stop the sale of offensive arms to Israel.

The US Senate rejected three measures from him that aimed to block around $20 billion in US arms sales to Israel. Introduced in late September of last year, the resolutions came nearly a year after Hamas’ October 2023 attack, which led to Israel’s military campaign in Gaza and over 43,000 reported deaths.

The Senate voted 18 to 79 to strike down Sanders’ S.J. Res. 111, 17 to 80 on S.J. Resolution 115, and 19 to 78 on S.J. Resolution 113.

Senator Sanders has openly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his military operations and restrictions on aid delivery, accusing Israel of acting beyond its right to defend itself and violating international law.

The three resolutions Sanders introduced aimed to block the transfer of US tank rounds, water rounds, and guidance kits attached to bombs used in Gaza, among other military aid.

Speaking at a news conference with Senators Peter Welch, Chris Van Hollen, and Jeff Merkley, Sanders declared that the US is “complicit” in the ongoing conflict and its atrocities.

Ever since these resolutions were voted against, Senator Sanders has proposed more resolutions regarding the same matter, but to no avail. The outcome has pretty much has always been the same.

Vermont Senators Patrick Leahy and Bernie Sanders visit with Vermont Army National Guard’s 172nd Cavalry Regiment, 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Mountain), headquartered in Jericho, Vermont., Friday, January 22. The Soldiers are in the Capitol to conduct security, communication, and logistical missions in support of federal and District authorities leading up and through the 59th Presidential Inauguration.

The Associated Press reported July 31, 2025, that the Senate rejected an effort from Sen. Sanders to block the sale of US bombs and firearms to Israel yet again, but this time, “the vote showed a growing number of Democrats opposed to the arms sales amid widespread hunger and suffering in Gaza.”

The resolution sought to stop $675 million in bomb sales and the delivery of 20,000 automatic assault rifles to Israel.

Although it failed to pass, it showed that support among Democrats grew. Over half the caucus—27 Democrats—backed the assault-rifle resolution, and 24 supported the bomb-sale measure, compared with just 18 Democratic votes during his last attempt in November, AP reported.

Senator Sanders/ Wikipedia

Sanders said Democrats are responding to “a significant majority of the American people who are tired of spending billions and billions of dollars on an Israeli government which is currently starving children to death.”

Due to international pressure, including from President Donald Trump, Israel implemented humanitarian pauses and airdrops. Despite that, however, conditions on the ground remain dire, with aid efforts struggling to meet the overwhelming need.

Senator Jim Risch of Idaho, chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, placed responsibility on Hamas both for the conflict and the current situation in Gaza.

All Republican senators voted against Sen. Sanders’ resolution.

Heartbreak strikes twice: Influencer mourns youngest child after losing 9-year-old daughter

Influencer Melissa Mae Carlton and husband Tom Carlton have suffered an unimaginable loss when their daughter Molly passed away on Christmas Day this year, just a year after they lost their 9-year-daughter Abigail.

“On Christmas morning, our sweet Molly girl, and her big sister Abi were reunited,” Melissa wrote on Instagram Dec. 26. “This is the only thing giving me even a small sense of comfort. Molly missed her sister so deeply.”

The couple, who also share son Harry and daughter Lily, were “devastated” and “in disbelief.”

“We are exhausted and shaken after a day filled with trauma and heartbreak,” Melissa wrote. “I feel numb, I cannot yet accept that this is real. I am not ready for this pain.”

Melissa Mae Carlton/ Instagram

She added that the amount of love, support, and prayers her family received was overwhelming.

“I am scared of what life looks like now for us,” she dded. “I am heartbroken for our children.”

“Last night, through tears, Harry told me that when we boarded the plane to Arizona on Monday, Molly leaned over and told him she wanted to be with Abi,” Melissa recalled. “Through sobs, he said, ‘She got what she wanted.’”

Melissa shared that while the family doesn’t yet have an official cause of death for Molly, they do have some answers as doctors suspect both their daughters could be suffering from the same genetic condition.

“I hesitate to share a medical update already because we still don’t have an official diagnosis. But I do feel it’s important to let people know that we have some answers this time,” Melissa provided in an update on Instagram. “The doctors believe Molly had a genetic heart condition and suspect this may have been the case with Abi as well.”

Melissa Mae Carlton/ Instagram

Melissa said she hopes sharing her daughters’ stories might help other families affected by SUDC.

She explained that Molly was monitored in hospital before she died. This gave doctors insight the family never had when Abigail became ill. Molly’s hospitalisation allowed her condition to be closely observed, something that wasn’t possible in Abigail’s case.

Although paramedics and medical staff acted quickly, doctors explained that certain cardiac events in young children can be fatal even with immediate care. Melissa added that she hopes further genetic testing will provide answers for their family and help other parents identify possible inherited risks earlier.

“We’ve been told that even a minor illness could potentially trigger a sudden cardiac event,” she explained. “We were in the best possible place, with everything aligned for the best conditions and the best outcome. Her little body fought so hard. But we’ve been told that this type of cardiac event is, in most cases, not survivable.”

“I hope we will get more answers soon and will be doing more genetic investigation for our family now we have possibly a clearer avenue to explore,” she concluded. “We are grateful for every single one of you.”

That detail isn’t innocent… and few people know it

If you are a cat owner, you definitely know this is a thing. You get into bed and somehow your cat is already there, stretched out like it’s their bed, not yours. They don’t even look up. You just stand there for a moment, accepting that you’ll have to adjust.

It’s not random, though. Cats don’t just sleep anywhere. If they settle next to you, it’s because you’re familiar and you feel safe to them. Warm too, obviously. It’s not something they “announce,” but it says a lot about how comfortable they are around you.

Below are some of the reasons why your cat would sleep right in the spot you were about to lie in.

1. They feel safe with you

Unlike most dogs and other pets, cats act independently, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t alert about where they choose to sleep.

If your cat chooses your bed to sleep in, it’s because they see it as a safe haven.

2. You’re part of their space
When your cat sleeps next to you, it is a way of expressing that you belong to them. Resting together is a big deal for cats and one of the most obvious signs of trust.

3. You’re warm
Cats love warmth, and your body gives off steady heat which makes you an ideal sleeping spot, especially during the night.

4. Its comfortable
Pillows, beds, and blankets are all soft and supportive, exactly the type of surface cats prefer when they want to really let go.

5. Your smell is familiar
Your scent helps your cat feel calm and grounded. It reminds them they’re in a familiar place, which makes it easier to settle down.

6. It brings you closer
If they decide to sleep next to you, your cat is showing you affection. In fact, it’s one of the closest forms of connection they offer.

7. Instinct plays a role
Cats naturally select sleeping spots where they feel safe and can stay alert. Simply being close to you makes them feel safer.

8. They like the company
Cats may enjoy alone time, but they don’t like feeling isolated thus sleeping with provides them with a sense of companionship.

9. They pick up on your mood
Many cats become more attached when their person is stressed, tired, or upset, so if they decide to sleep next to you maybe they just try to make you feel more relaxed.

10. Sometimes, it’s just preference
And sometimes, they do it for no apparent reason. Your cat simply chooses you because you’re their favorite place to be.

Prince William and Kate’s Christmas card photo sparks fan criticism

As per tradition, the royals shared the much-awaited Christmas card photo.

Exchanging Christmas greetings has been a royal custom since the early 1800s, with handcrafted cards made by Queen Victoria’s children still preserved by the Royal Collection Trust. Official family photographs followed later, starting with King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, and today continue to symbolise the family’s connection with the public during the festive season.

This year’s image shows Prince William and Princess Kate together with their three children sitting on a grassy field in Norfolk.

Princess Charlotte leans into her father, resting her head on his shoulder as she holds his arm, while Prince Louis reclines against his father’s chest. Princess Catherine stands close with her arm around George, smiling warmly in a setting that suggests spring.

While many found the photo the royals used to wish everyone happy holidays adorable, there were also those who criticised the family because of the lack of festive elements.

X / Kensington Royal

“Where is the Christmas?” one person wondered.

“Very lovely, but not very seasonal is it? The children change so much, so fast, it would be lovely to have a more recent picture IMHO,” another added.

“Has there been more photoshopping?” a fan questioned, adding: “Where are Kathy’s legs? Bill only has one leg.”

Another person wondered: “Why is there nothing Christmasy on the card?”

A fourth pointed out: ”Photo taken in April.”

Much of the criticism comes from the fact that the photo was taken back in April by photographer Josh Shinner, during the same shoot used to mark George’s 12th birthday and Louis’ seventh.

It isn’t the first time a royal Christmas card has sparked debate.

The family’s 2024 card, which featured a computer-generated snowy GIF, also drew attention after being released around the same time Princess Catherine shared a pre-recorded video confirming she had completed chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis earlier that year.

King Charles and Queen Camilla also released their own Christmas card on December 7. It was a photo taken in April for their 20th wedding anniversary at Villa Wolkonsky, the British ambassador’s residence in Rome. Set against a deep red background, the card featured a traditional message, “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.”

Supreme Court Invalidates California’s Green Mandates

In a landmark 7–2 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court delivered a major setback to California’s green mandates, striking at the heart of Governor Gavin Newsom’s environmental goals. Writing for the majority, Justice Brett Kavanaugh argued that the state’s aggressive electric-vehicle requirements and strict emissions limits may overstep federal authority. The ruling opens the door for fuel and energy companies to challenge the Environmental Protection Agency’s prior approval of these rules. Kavanaugh criticized the agency sharply, noting that “the government may not suffocate an industry with unlawful regulation and then seek refuge in immunity,” and pointing out the EPA’s shifting legal interpretations over the years.

The decision is being celebrated by traditional energy producers, who view it as a long-awaited pushback against California’s sweeping climate directives.

For Newsom, however, it marks a significant political hurdle, especially since his 2035 plan to end the sale of gas-powered
vehicles has been a cornerstone of his environmental platform. The ruling arrives just as President Donald Trump has moved to dismantle several of California’s regulatory waivers, signaling a dramatic turning point in America’s ongoing fight over climate and energy policy.

On the same day, the Court issued another major 6–3 ruling that strengthened the authority of federal immigration officials, reinstating their broad enforcement powers. Together, these decisions send a clear warning: state governments may find it increasingly difficult to push
policies that stretch beyond federal boundaries, as the judiciary takes a firmer hand in defining regulatory limits.

Conclusion

The Supreme Court’s twin rulings underscore a pivotal recalibration of U.S. governance, reinforcing the primacy of federal authority and placing new constraints on state-driven regulatory efforts. For California, the climate ruling could force a significant reconsideration of its
ambitious push toward an all-electric future. On a national scale, these decisions suggest a judiciary more willing to intervene when state policies collide with federal law—reshaping the future of environmental regulation, energy policy, and immigration enforcement across the country.

Orlando Bloom sparks outrage after sharing ‘inappropriate’ photo of four-year-old daughter

Actor Orlando Bloom has come under fire after sharing what many dubber an inappropriate photo of his 4-year-old daughter.

Bloom posted a series of photos of him and daughter Daisy, whom she and ex Katy Perry welcomed in 2020, at the beach, and on one of them, the girl isn’t wearing any clothes.

Fans were quick to comment on Bloom’s photo, with a Redditor writing, “Some parents are such idiots. They don’t post this child’s face on social media, so they do understand privacy but then post a naked pic. Make it make sense.”

Another added: “I can’t help but feel like you have to be so out of touch to think it’s okay to post a naked photo of your daughter, to a huge fanbase, and not consider the repercussions.

“I can understand how that might be a meaningful photo for a parent, but not on the interweb for millions to see.”

@orlandobloom/Instagram

A third person commented: “Poor thing. I know having everything you desire would be nice, but having a celeb as a parent sounds like a special kind of headache for kids. Having a guardian so detached from reality is scary.”

Someone else pointed out: “I’m not saying him posting it was ill-intent or anything, but there are people on social media who will use it for ill-intent and inappropriate reasons.”

Others, however, stood up for the Pirate of the Caribbean star, dubbing his photo “innocent.”

“She’s gonna be four… I don’t understand everyone’s comments here. She’s going swimming with her father.

“Again she is four. This is not, not a normal thing… he covered her butt in the picture..

“I used to run around naked until I was almost seen and a lot of the kids I grew up with did also.

“It’s innocent and the fact that people are trying to make it weird ARE WEIRD AF.”

@orlandobloom/Instagram

Orlando has since deleted the photo before reposting it with a yellow heart emoji covering his daughter’s behind.

Bloom and Perry have deliberately kept their daughter’s identity out of the spotlight, choosing not to share photos of her face publicly.

The news followed a period of attention around Bloom joking about being linked romantically to a world leader while Perry has been seen in public with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Barron Trump has a new girlfriend, source claims

With Donald Trump taking the Oval Office, his son, Barron Trump, would again be moving to Washington D.C.

The youngest of the mogul’s offspring continued his studies at Stern Business School at New York University, and that’s more or less what the public knows about him. Barron, just like his mother, has kept his private life out of the public eye despite the media’s attempts to learn more about him.

During his stay at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Barron was barely seen, except for the handful occasions when he was pictured entering or exiting a helicopter on the White House lawn. When the family left the presidential palace and moved to their Mar-A-Lago residence in Florida, Barron was shielded from the public even more.

But now, details of his days at Oxbridge Academy emerged. Allegedly, the Secret Service followed him at all times. They even stayed in front of the classroom while he attended lessons and escorted him to the bathroom.

Barron was said to have been registered at the school under the name Jack.

This was due to the risks of hackers accessing records of his data and grades.

A former student spoke to the Daily Mail about Barron, saying that the young Trump had his meals separately from the other students and wasn’t involved in any sports. They added that it was a pity he didn’t get to enjoy student life to the fullest, unlike the rest of his classmates.

“Barron was very funny and sociable. He would start the most random conversations and could be very entertaining,” the friend told the Mail.

“He was also very mysterious, he never attended football games or dances. I don’t think he met up with anyone outside of school or went on dates. If he had a girlfriend, it was top secret we never knew about it.”

The friend concluded: “I’m sure he had fun in his own way but it was a bit of a shame that he didn’t get to have a normal high school life like everyone else.”

The friend spoke of Barron’s first shots at finding love.

Rumors are that the president’s son has been dating a model.

His father, Donald Trump, however, appeared on the PBD Podcast, where he stated that Barron has never had a girlfriend to his knowledge. He added that his son is a social guy who “doesn’t mind being alone, but he gets along with people,”

“I’m not sure he’s there yet,” Trump said. “I don’t think he’s had a girlfriend yet.”

However, when Barron was still attending school in New York, he was allegedly dating a girl named Maddie, who took to TikTok to share why the two broke up.

The TikToker posted a photo of herself at the Oval Office, taken during a tour all of Barron classmates took when Trump became a president for the first time, and posed alongside the Trumps. She captioned the photo, “For those asking, I went to school with Barron Trump, and he was my first BF. When Trump was elected he brought the entire class to the White House. We gotta save my bae!”

According to a video she posted on her social media, this alleged girlfriend and Barron Trump broke up when he transferred to another school, calling him “the best” and “the nicest.”

At the time Donald and his family moved to the White House, Barron was excited to invite his friends to a sleepover, as per the NY Daily News.

“Barron has been asking some of his school friends to come visit him in the White House,” the report stated. “He has said to his parents, ‘I hope there are bedrooms for my friends to come visit.’”

“Kids at his school are already planning sleepovers,” a source told the NY Daily News, referring to the Upper West Side’s Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School.

Around 80 of Barron’s school friends attended the tour. They were accompanied by their teachers and members of the Secret Service. The friends also toured DC and stayed at a hotel overnight before returning to New York. Of course, they also met the president himself.

“They had a buffet lunch and a tour of the White House and met the president and the first lady, Melania Trump. President Trump gave them all a rousing speech about living up to your potential and being the best you could be for your country. Barron was really sweet. He was so excited to show his classmates around the White House,” the source continued.

Most recently, it has been reported by some media outlets that Barron was seen in the company of model Klara Jones, two years his senior. The two have been seen together at events during the last couple of months, Elle reported.

As of now, the news hasn’t been confirmed.

YouTuber Trisha Paytas welcomes baby boy with ‘worst name ever’

Trisha Paytas, a well-known YouTube personality, has received backlash after she revealed the name of her third child, a baby boy born on July 12, 2025.

She announced the arrival of her bundle of joy during an episode of the Just Trish podcast. The YouTube star already shared two children with husband Moses Hacmon before welcoming their newest addition to the family.

Paytas described the birth as ‘surprising and traumatic,’ requiring an emergency C-section.

“You’re okay, you’re doing great,” husband Moses Hacmon reassured her at start of the episode. “The baby is 100% okay, doing great – like, that’s first thing first.”

Around an hour into the episode, Paytas revealed her baby’s name, triggering criticism.

This, however, isn’t the first time she and her husband to be criticised about how they named their children. Their first daughter, whom they welcomed in 2022, is called Malibu Barbie, while their second one, born in 2024, was given the name Elvis.

While discussing why she chose the name Elvis for her daughter, Paytas previously explained on her podcast, “I love all names, I think they’re so cute, but I’ve always manifested Malibu and Elvis. It’s always been [one of the] names I’ve said, so that’s it.”

@trishapaytas/Instagram

She noted that while Elvis is traditionally considered a masculine name, she would happily use it for a girl. The announcement sparked a wave of reactions across social media.

“This poor child’s gonna get picked on so bad for that name. I never understood why some people purposely do that to a child,” one person commented.

“What an awful name for a child. Whatever happened to just calling your child something normal?” another added.

“Please stop naming your children this stuff,” a third chimed in.

@trishapaytas/Instagram

In the weeks leading up to the announcement of their third baby’s name, fans had been buzzing with speculation.

Some of the most popular guesses included ocean-inspired names like Trident and Sharkboy, as well as Moses Jr. and Percy Jackson.

Given Paytas’ history, followers anticipated something far from traditional. Staying true to that reputation, the influencer kept listeners waiting, delaying the reveal until nearly an hour into the podcast.

Throughout the episode, she built suspense by playfully eliminating potential names, including Gerard Way—a nod to My Chemical Romance—and Gerard Wave.

Eventually, the couple decided on the name Aquaman, one that Paytas said made her think, “I wish that was my name.”

“I feel like we’re being pranked,” one fan wrote. “This is downright cruel smh,” another said.

A third added: “It’s even worse than her others…”

“What a ridiculous name. This poor baby is going to get bullied,” a fourth wrote.

Yet another person commented: “Are you joking?? Literally you have to change it. There is no way.”

What do you think of the name Aquaman?

Couple Who Were Missing Have Just Been Found Inside A C

For nearly a week, the town held its breath. Flyers fluttered on telephone poles, prayer circles formed at churches, and search teams combed through dense woods, gravel roads, and riverbanks — all clinging to the hope that the missing couple would be found alive.

But hope gave way to heartbreak when a somber discovery silenced the small town. Tucked deep within a forested patch miles from the nearest road, the couple’s vehicle was finally located — hidden from view and swallowed by the wilderness. Inside were the lifeless bodies of the two missing souls, their final moments now sealed in mystery.

A Love Remembered, A Community United

Authorities have confirmed that while no foul play is currently suspected, a full autopsy and toxicology report are underway to determine what caused the deaths. Investigators believe the couple may have gotten lost or suffered a medical emergency while on a drive through the rural outskirts.

The pair, remembered as adventurous and full of life, had only recently celebrated their engagement. “They were the kind of couple you just knew would grow old together,” one friend shared through tears. “They lit up every room they entered — and now that light is gone.”

As news spread, grief poured through the town like a wave. A candlelight vigil is already being organized, drawing friends, family, and strangers alike who feel the weight of the loss.

A Search That Touched Every Heart

Police say GPS data and phone records may help reconstruct the couple’s final hours, but many questions remain. Their car had been hidden by thick brush — just out of view from earlier air and ground sweeps.

“This case reminds us of how quickly situations can turn tragic, especially in rural areas where cell service is poor and terrain can be unforgiving,” said one search and rescue coordinator. “But it also reminds us of the strength of a community that refused to give up.”

Conclusion

The discovery brought the search to an end — but not the pain. In the quiet aftermath, a town mourns not just the loss of two beloved lives, but the cruel abruptness with which they were taken.

Their story, now a haunting memory etched into the hearts of many, stands as a reminder of life’s unpredictability — and the fierce, unwavering love of a community that searched, hoped, and grieved as one.

Though their journey ended in the stillness of a forest, their legacy lives on in every candle lit, every tear shed, and every life touched by their memory.

A Genius of Humor Silenced: Remembering the Unforgettable Richard Lewis

“The Last Laugh: Richard Lewis, Comedy’s Neurotic Poet, Leaves the Stage”

The world didn’t just lose a comedian this week — it lost a mirror. One cracked, smudged, and painfully honest — much like the man who held it up to our collective face for half a century.

Richard Lewis, the anguished genius of stand-up and reluctant philosopher of television, has died under circumstances still partly cloaked in silence.

And maybe that’s fitting.

Lewis was never a man of clean edges or simple stories. His life was a jazz riff of anxiety, self-sabotage, and devastating insight — all spun into one of the most singular comic voices of the modern age. Now, as tributes ripple across the internet and late-night monologues turn solemn, one question lingers in the subtext of the mourning: What really happened in the final days of the man who turned neurosis into a sacred art?

A Voice That Quivered, But Never Faltered

To call Richard Lewis a comedian feels incomplete. He wasn’t just funny. He was naked. On stage, he unraveled, unrushed and unapologetic — pacing like a trapped poet, unraveling anxiety into something hilariously universal. He didn’t tell jokes so much as bleed into a microphone, dressed in black, sweating through metaphysical spirals about his parents, his failures, his addictions, and his fear of everything — especially himself.

From grimy New York clubs to the screen on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Lewis brought the same unvarnished truth: that self-doubt could be a punchline, and pain — when held up to the light — could make people laugh hard enough to forget their own.

“He made misery beautiful,” said one fan on social media. “Like Woody Allen with less ego and more heart.”

A Presence That Haunted and Healed

On TV, he was unforgettable — often playing himself, or some fractured version of it, always bristling with existential dread. In interviews, he spoke of his struggles with addiction, depression, and the long road to stability. He was candid, he was tired, he was still fighting.

In recent years, Lewis had withdrawn somewhat from the public eye, citing health issues but rarely offering much detail. His last appearances were tinged with fragility — his voice a little softer, his posture more tentative, but the wit as piercing as ever. It’s unclear what shadows surrounded his final days, but what’s certain is that he knew he was loved.

And perhaps — finally — he believed it.

Conclusion: The Exit Wound of Genius

Richard Lewis didn’t die with punchlines still in his pocket. He spent his life emptying them onto every stage he walked. What remains is the silence that follows — and the echo of a voice that helped generations feel less alone in their chaos.

In a world obsessed with perfection, Richard Lewis insisted on being flawed. In an age of irony, he dealt in confession. And while others performed comedy, he endured it — letting us laugh at his brokenness so we could face our own.

Now the mic is quiet. The stage is empty. But the echo? Still laughing. And somewhere, in the absurdity of this life, that feels like the most Richard Lewis ending of all.

My husband left me and our newborn in a snowstorm — six weeks later, I showed up at his wedding with the one thing he never saw coming

I will never forget that dreadful winter in Vermont. I had just given birth to my son, Ethan, and struggled as a first-time mother, still learning how things are done.

My husband, Michael, paced the living room, as though something was bothering him. He then answered a call on the phone, turned to me, and said, “I’ll be back in a minute.”

Well, guess what. He never came back, leaving me weak and feverish with a 10-day-old baby. By morning, the heat was out, the car was gone, and there was no signal. I spent hours holding Ethan, piling on blankets, warming water any way I could, struggling to keep us alive and warm.

If it wasn’t for my neighbor who noticed my absence and called for help, God knows what would have happened to me and Ethan.

While at the hospital, recovering, I learned Michael drained our joint account the previous day and even filed for divorce. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

The next few weeks were just a blur of anger, fear, and exhaustion. I was staying with my sister, trying to understand how someone could disappear so completely without warning.

The worst of all was when a mutual friends called me in disbelief and asked me if I knew Michael was getting married the following week. It had only been six weeks since he left us and now he was marrying someone else.

I didn’t cry. Something inside me turned cold and clear and I knew my revenge was on its way.

On the day of the wedding, the grip of winter lightened at last. I got dressed, buckled Ethan into his carrier, and walked to the church. I took evidence with me.

When I pushed open the door and the room went quiet, Michael turned ashen. That was when it all really started. The music stopped mid-note. Olivia, wearing a white dress, looked at me in confusion. Michael appeared to be seeing a ghost. I made my way slowly up the aisle. No one said a word.

“Laura… what are you doing here?” he asked, shocked.

I didn’t have to yell. I took a blue folder out of my bag and raised it. “I’m just returning something you left behind,” I said, keeping my voice calm.

The priest stepped back as whispers rolled through the crowd. I came to a stop in front of Michael and opened the folder. There were notarized papers: deeds to property in my name, accounts he had hidden, and a sales agreement with my forged signature.

I’d come across it while checking county records. My grandfather’s million-dollar home had been stolen through a forged deed. Michael knew I was the rightful heir. He just assumed I’d never fight back. “I talked to your lawyer,” I went on. “Mine too. And the cops.”

Two officers at the back of the church stepped forward and Olivia dropped her bouquet. “Who are these people?” she cried. “Michael, tell me it’s not true.”

He tried to quiet me, to pull me outside. “Laura, let’s go. Let’s talk outside.”

“No,” I replied. “You made your decision the day you left me and our tiny baby in a storm.”

The officers asked for his ID while his guests started filming the scene. The ceremony had turned into a courtroom and Michael stumbled over his words, sweating, denying everything. But he couldn’t fight the evidence I had in that folder.

As they took him away, he looked at me with fear and hatred. “I didn’t think you were capable of this.”

“Nor did I,” I said. “But I did it for him.”

At that moment, I looked at my son who was sleeping unbothered by the chaos unveiling around him and that’s when I knew this wasn’t revenge but justice.

Congress Prepares to Debate Crime Bill Amid Trump’s Push to Tighten DC Security

Trump Pushes Crime Bill for Washington, D.C., as Lawmakers Brace for Debate

Lawmakers are preparing for a high-stakes showdown as President Donald Trump escalates efforts to combat crime in Washington, D.C. On Wednesday, Trump announced plans to send a legislative package to Congress aimed at transforming the nation’s capital into a “beacon” for other cities grappling with violent crime, though he offered few concrete details about the proposal.

“We think the Democrats will not do anything to stop crime, but we think the Republicans will do it almost unanimously,” Trump told Fox News. “So we’re going to need a crime bill that we’re going to be putting in, and it’s going to pertain initially to D.C.” He also mentioned seeking “a relatively small amount of money” to improve streets and overall infrastructure, suggesting the plan could blend public safety measures with urban improvements.

Congressional Coordination and Republican Support

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) confirmed that he has been in discussions with Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and White House staff regarding congressional support for the initiative. “At the direction of President Trump, this Department of Justice will continue to work
with MPD, federal law enforcement, and Congress to address violent crime in Washington, D.C., and ensure the safety of all Americans visiting or living in our Nation’s capital,” Bondi said in a statement.

Graham emphasized that he and Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.), chair of the Homeland Security appropriations subcommittee, will oversee the proposed D.C. Security Fund through Congress. “Every American should be behind this effort to make Washington D.C. clean and safe so that it can truly become the shining city on the hill,” Graham told reporters on X (formerly Twitter).

Republican leaders appear largely unified in supporting increased federal involvement in the city, framing the package as a necessary measure to restore safety and confidence in the nation’s capital.

Uncertainties and Legislative Hurdles

Details remain scarce regarding whether the package will be introduced as a standalone supplemental measure or folded into a larger spending bill. Lawmakers are also awaiting clarification on funding levels, specific provisions, and the scope of presidential authority over
local policing. Congress is scheduled to reconvene after Labor Day, facing the September 30 deadline to fund the federal government. At the same time, Trump is expected to request an extension of his temporary authority over the D.C. police—a power currently limited to 30 days unless Congress approves an extension via joint resolution.

While Republican lawmakers have signaled willingness to support expanded federal intervention in Washington, achieving a joint resolution requires 60 Senate votes. Democrats have indicated they are likely to block any measures that further centralize presidential control over local policing, setting the stage for a potentially contentious political standoff.

Implications Beyond D.C.

Observers note that the outcome of this debate could have far-reaching consequences beyond the city limits of Washington.

Federal intervention in municipal crime policy is relatively rare, and approval of the proposed measures could establish a precedent for future involvement in other major cities. Analysts suggest the plan is as much about political messaging as public safety, providing Trump an opportunity to demonstrate executive action on crime while testing bipartisan and intra-party dynamics in Congress.

Conclusion

As Congress braces for debate, the political and legislative battle over control, funding, and public safety in the nation’s capital is set to intensify. How lawmakers reconcile partisan differences over presidential authority, municipal governance, and federal funding could shape
the city’s future—and potentially influence the framework for federal involvement in urban crime initiatives nationwide. The coming weeks are likely to test both political alliances and public sentiment, making Washington, D.C., a central stage for a debate that could resonate across the country.

Trump accused of using autopen for latest pardons despite mocking Biden for doing it

It has been during a number of occasions that President Donald Trump accused his predecessor Joe Biden of plenty of things, including that he had been hiding his actual health from the public during his presidency. When Biden announced his battle with prostate cancer, Trump claimed Biden was well-aware of the diagnosis during his presidency.

In a memorandum on Wednesday, Trump instructed the White House counsel, in coordination with Attorney General Pam Bondi and other officials, to investigate whether “certain individuals conspired to deceive the public about Biden’s mental state and unconstitutionally exercise the authorities and responsibilities of the President.”

A top oncologist who used to work with Joe Biden also believed the former president probably had the cancer for “a decade.”

Dr Ezekiel Emanuel, who took part in crafting the the Obama-era Affordable Care Act, shared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Biden likely had cancer while serving as a president.

On a separate occasion, Trump made a shocking decision to launch an investigation concerning former POTUS Joe Biden regarding masking his “cognitive decline” and deceiving the public about his actual mental state.

Trump believes Biden did that by letting his aides use an autopen—a device that reproduces signatures used by presidents, including Trump, for decades—to authorize executive actions.

BBC reported that Trump said in a statement how the American public had been “purposefully shielded from discovering who wielded the executive power” while Biden’s signature was used to endorse documents Trump described as leading to “radical policy shifts.”

“This conspiracy marks one of the most dangerous and concerning scandals in American history,” Trump concluded.

The investigation discovered that “Senior White House officials did not know who operated the autopen and its use was not sufficiently controlled or documented to prevent abuse.

“The Committee deems void all executive actions signed by the autopen without proper, corresponding, contemporaneous, written approval traceable to the president’s own consent,” the House Oversight Committee found.

Susan Walsh, File/AP Photo

Biden responded to the accusations, saying they were “ridiculous and false.”

Recently, however, it appeared that Trump did exactly what he accused Biden for, and used autopen when signing pardons on November 7, 2025.

Allegedly, Trump could have used autopens for his pardons granted to former New York Mets player Darryl Strawberry, former Tennessee House speaker Glen Casada, and former New York police sergeant Michael McMahon, among others.

According to The Guardian, experts told the AP that several pardons initially posted online carried identical signatures, which were later quietly corrected by the Justice Department.

REUTERS via NewYork Post

Chad Gilmartin, a Justice Department spokesperson, told the Associated Press that the agency called it a “technical error,” adding that the “website was updated after a technical error where one of the signatures President Trump personally signed was mistakenly uploaded multiple times due to staffing issues caused by the Democrat shutdown.”

“There is no story here other than the fact that President Trump signed seven pardons by hand and [the Department of Justice] posted those same seven pardons with seven unique signatures to our website,” Gilmartin added.

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson wrote in an email that Trump “signed each one of these pardons by hand as he does with all pardons”.

“The media should spend their time investigating Joe Biden’s countless autopenned pardons, not covering a non-story,” she wrote.

A celebration that became a lesson

I had the feeling that night would be special. You know the type when you really get organized instead of just making it up as you go. I had been saving up for a while, trying to figure out what she would want, replaying conversations in my head, all of that. I chose a restaurant that was, well, quiet and intimate, with soft lighting, white tablecloths, the sort of place where you want things to feel calm and intimate. And then there she was, my girlfriend, looking gorgeous and beaming. I thought, yeah, this is going exactly like I wanted it to go.

Until, for a little while, it did. We asked for some drinks and some appetizers and felt Like they’d taken the rest of the world away and it was just the two of us sitting at that table.

Things started to get out of whack.

At first, the waiter wasn’t in your face rude, but… blunt. Short answers. That tone, the one where you feel like you’re inconveniencing people just by breathing. Midway through our meal, he informed us that we needed to change tables on account of a “mistake.” No explanation, no sorry. Just move. It completely cut through the rhythm of the evening.

After that, everything was stilted. Like we were intruders rather than guests. Every exchange was accompanied by an eye roll, a sigh, or this look that said, clearly, we’re not interested in the trouble. I tried to ignore it and kept telling myself it wasn’t worth throwing the night away on account of some buzzkill.

She noticed it too. At one point she reached over and took my hand under the table like she was telling me it’s OK, we’re here together, that’s all that matters.

That came to $180 when the check arrived. I paid without thinking. I was just hoping to bail on a halfway decent note. But then as we were leaving, the waiter came back and put the receipt down, again.

“You forgot the service fee,” the waiter said without hesitation.

Pexels

And really that’s what put me over the edge. Not the money but the presumption. As if respect was owed to us regardless of how we were treated. I didn’t yell or fight with them. I just said they hadn’t earned one, and got up and left.

I was thinking as I drove home. A part of me wondered if I’d blown it out of proportion. Another part of me knew I hadn’t. We didn’t even really discuss the restaurant, we discussed respect. Those kinds of little moments that tell you what you’re willing to take.

The manager called the next day. They apologized and said they had taken a look at what happened. It felt like no victory.

The evening didn’t go as I expected. But it made me realize you don’t need spectacle to have dignity. Sometimes it is just silently knowing where you make your stand.

The Recipe Box That Taught Me What Real Value Means

When my grandmother moved into a nursing home, she carefully divided her jewelry and antiques among my siblings. Sparkling necklaces, delicate brooches, and ornate figurines all found new homes.

To me, however, she left something far simpler: a small, unassuming wooden recipe box.

At first, I felt a twinge of disappointment. Why this box, and why me? My siblings laughed when they saw it, calling it “junk,” and their words pricked me more than I expected.

Annoyed and slightly hurt, I set it aside, barely giving it a second glance. That evening, as I absentmindedly left the box near the trash, my neighbor noticed it. She knelt, gently picking it up. “Do you realize what you have here?” she asked, her eyes soft with curiosity. Something in her tone made me pause, and I invited her inside to take a closer look.

With care, she opened the box. Inside were neatly stacked recipe cards—yes—but also folded notes in my grandmother’s handwriting, faded photographs of family gatherings, and tiny envelopes containing keepsakes I had never seen before. There were scribbled annotations about special occasions, reminders of who baked what, and even little anecdotes about relatives long gone. Each item felt like a whisper from the past, a connection to moments and people I had never fully known.

As I flipped through the contents, I realized that this humble wooden box was a repository of family history, love, and memories carefully preserved over decades. My grandmother hadn’t given me a shiny object—she had entrusted me with a piece of her heart.

Conclusion

What appeared to be a simple, overlooked recipe box was, in truth, a treasure beyond measure. It reminded me that value is not always in glitter or gold, but in the stories, emotions, and connections objects hold. That little box taught me to see with more than just my eyes—to
appreciate the quiet, lasting legacy of love and family. Some gifts aren’t meant to impress the world; they’re meant to touch the heart and preserve what truly matters.

Husband Walks Out for Pregnant Mistress—Returns Years Later With Their Child and a Shocking Deception

A Knock From the Past: When Betrayal Returns

She thought she had finally closed the door on her past. But sometimes, the past doesn’t stay buried. That knock at the door felt ordinary at first — just a man seeking help. Yet something in his eyes, the way he clutched the little girl beside him, sent a shiver down her spine. Deep down, she sensed that this visit wasn’t what it seemed.

He Left Me — Then Returned Years Later

Her ex-husband had abandoned her years ago for another woman, leaving her to raise their two children alone. Life had slowly settled into a fragile routine, until one evening when he unexpectedly reappeared, bringing chaos back into her carefully rebuilt world.

“I’m 34 now,” she recalls. “My husband, 36, left me years ago when his mistress became pregnant. Since then, I’ve been raising our two kids on my own.”

Last week, he showed up at her door — not with apologies, but with a strange request. Standing there with a little girl at his side, he said, “My wife is in the hospital. She’s dying. I need someone to look after my daughter. Please, I have no one else.”

Memories of the pain he had caused came rushing back. “No,” she said firmly. His expression darkened. He yelled, calling her “heartless” and “cruel,” then stormed off into the night.

A Call She Didn’t See Coming

Two months later, her phone rang. On the other end was his wife, calm yet nervous. “Hi, this might sound strange,” she said. “Have you seen my husband?”

After recounting his visit and the claim about the hospital, there was a pause. Then the truth hit: “What hospital? I’m not sick. I’ve been staying with my parents… and I’m pregnant.”

It became clear he had lied — there was no dying wife. He had plotted to meet another woman and tried to leave his daughter with her for his own convenience.

The Weight of Truth

Now, she can’t stop thinking about her decision. “Should I have told her? She’s pregnant — she doesn’t need stress. But if I stayed silent, he would have continued deceiving everyone.”

She reflects, “Moving on isn’t just about forgiveness. Sometimes it’s realizing that the same person can still find ways to hurt you, even after you’ve closed the door.”

Conclusion

In the end, she understood that some people never truly change. Trusting someone who has repeatedly caused pain can be dangerous. While she felt torn, she recognized the importance of protecting herself and her children. The experience left her wiser, a reminder that compassion and caution must sometimes walk hand in hand — especially when someone from your past reappears with a story that doesn’t quite add up.

These are the consequences of wearing used…

Have you ever noticed patches of thickened skin forming on your toes and feet? These patches can be really painful, but mainly, they are harmless.

The medical name for these patches is corns and calluses, and they are usually a result of shoes that are too tight, too loose, or high-heeled. Also, they often appear when wearing second-hand shoes.

Used shoes can easily create toe issues, since they’ve already been shaped to someone else’s foot. Over time, the form of the shoe is altered and pressure points and seams are created, which are not aligned with your own toes. Consequently, this may cause new problems, including friction and pressure where the shoe rubs and the toes are constantly compressed.

In response, the skin thickens to protect itself, forming a hard, raised area that often appears yellow because of a buildup of dead skin cells (keratin). Hard corns usually form on the tops or sides of the toes and may have a central core that feels painful when pressed, often described as feeling like stepping on a small pebble.

Corns/ NHS

Other Possible Causes (Less Common)

Blisters: Prolonged friction may initially result in blisters full of fluid, which may have a yellow appearance if they get infected.

Fungal infections: If you slip on a pair of previously owned shoes, you could be inviting fungi that cause athlete’s foot and nail infections to set up home on your feet. These infections usually present as itching, redness, peeling skin, or yellowed nails rather than a nodular, firm lesion.

Why Second-Hand Shoes Are More Likely to Cause Problems

New shoes can be uncomfortable at first, but used shoes add even more concerns into the mix. They’ve already been molded to someone else’s feet, creating snug pockets of uneven pressure. Poor sanitation is yet another issue because it can transfer sweat, bacteria or fungi, which can cause irritation or infection.

Calluses/ NHS

How to Treat It

Switch shoes: Stop wearing the shoes that are causing the problem. Instead, choose well-built, comfortable shoes that have a wide toe box, good arch supports, and plenty of cushioning.

Soak and smooth: Soak your feet in warm, soapy water for 10 to 20 minutes, then use a pumice stone or emery board to gently smooth. Do not cut into the skin.

Reduce friction: Pad the area with corn pads, mole skin, or a gel toe sleeve.

Moisturize: Use urea-containing creams to soften hardened skin.

Nonprescription treatments: Salicylic acid pads are available to help remove corns over time.

If the area becomes painful, red, swollen, starts oozing pus, or isn’t getting any better after a couple of weeks, go see a podiatrist. They can safely treat it and check for underlying problems such as bunions or bone spurs.

The nurse who brought light to my darkest nights

I nearly lost my life while giving birth to my son.

We both spent ten days in the hospital after that. My baby was in intensive care, and I was stuck in a small room down the hall. I barely slept. Nights were the worst because everything was quiet except for the machines and my own thoughts. I didn’t have anyone there with me, and the fear felt heavier when it got late.

That’s when this nurse started coming in.

Every night, usually after midnight, she’d quietly step into my room. She never rushed me or acted annoyed. She’d sit down and tell me how my baby was doing, if the doctors had said anything new, how he was breathing, whether he’d opened his eyes. Sometimes the news was good, sometimes not. But she always ended with this calm smile that made things feel a little less hopeless.

At the time, I didn’t realize how much I needed that.

Two years later, I was watching the news one night, barely paying attention, when I suddenly recognized her. It was the same face and the same calm presence.

The story was about local heroes. She was running a volunteer program that stayed overnight with parents of babies in intensive care. She said no parent should feel alone during those nights.

Then they mentioned that she’d lost her own baby years earlier and that hit me hard. Suddenly, everything made sense. She wasn’t just doing her job, she knew exactly what those nights felt like.

I ended up reaching out to the hospital and, somehow, she remembered me. She sent me a handwritten letter saying that helping parents through those moments was what mattered most to her.

I still think about her when things feel heavy. She showed me that kindness doesn’t have to be loud, it just has to be there.

Lawmakers Approve Landmark Bill Criminalizing AI-Generated s*xual Images Without Consent — The AI Predator You Never See Coming

It doesn’t lurk in dark alleys or shadowy chat rooms — it hides in code.
With just a few keystrokes, artificial intelligence can now fabricate s*xual images so realistic that even the people in them might not be able to tell they’re fake. The targets? Often ordinary individuals who have no idea they’ve been victimized until strangers start whispering, jobs start questioning, and reputations begin to crumble.

By the time victims discover these AI-generated deepfake images, the damage is usually irreversible. They’ve been shared, downloaded, and reposted across countless platforms — each copy harder to erase than the last.

The emotional toll can be crushing, combining humiliation, anger, and helplessness in a way few crimes can match.

But now, Congress is stepping in.

In an overwhelming 409–2 vote, the House passed the Take It Down Act — legislation designed to make it a crime to create or distribute s*xual deepfakes without consent. The law forces online platforms to remove reported content within 72 hours and gives victims the power to fight back in court.

In a rare moment of unity, lawmakers from both sides — with support from President Trump — are calling it a crucial defense against a new kind of digital predator. It’s not just about punishing offenders; it’s about protecting dignity in an era where reality itself can be fabricated.

Bottom Line: From cutting-edge health concerns to the shadowy frontiers of AI exploitation, one truth holds steady: the earlier we act, the safer we are. Technology evolves fast, but so must our awareness, our laws, and our collective will to protect each other. Because in the digital age, your likeness can be stolen in seconds — and your defense starts before it happens.

When Uncertainty Shatters Love: A Father’s Painful Awakening

It began as nothing more than a whisper in the back of my mind — a quiet, persistent unease that grew stronger each time I looked at my newborn son. His tiny features seemed unfamiliar, his eyes a shade too dark, his smile not quite my own. Everyone around me told me it was normal, that new fathers often feel disconnected at first. But the doubt refused to die. It coiled in the corners of my thoughts, turning moments of joy into questions I couldn’t silence. Then one night, as my wife cradled him beneath the soft amber glow of the nursery lamp, I caught a fleeting look on her face — a strange, unreadable smile — and in that instant, suspicion took root. That single moment would become the fault line that tore my life apart.

When our son was only weeks old, I demanded a paternity test. My wife’s response was calm, almost eerily so. She tilted her head slightly and asked, “And what if he isn’t yours?” Her words hit like ice, and without hesitation I replied, “Then I’m gone — I won’t raise someone else’s child.” Weeks later, the results arrived: I wasn’t the father. I didn’t wait for explanations or second opinions. I filed for divorce, cut all contact, and convinced myself I was doing the right thing.

Three years passed before the truth came crashing down. I ran into an old family friend who couldn’t even look me in the eye. When I told him my side of the story, his expression turned to sorrow. He told me things I never wanted to hear — that my wife had been destroyed by my lack of faith, that the smirk I saw wasn’t arrogance but fear. She had never betrayed me. The test I had built my rage upon had been wrong — a rare, tragic mistake.

Shaken, I ordered another test. When the new results came, the world stopped. He was my son. My hands trembled as I stared at the paper, realizing I had abandoned the people who loved me most. My pride, my fear, my need for control — they had all cost me everything that truly mattered.

I tried to make amends, to explain, to apologize. But she had moved on. The woman who once smiled at me with such warmth now guarded her peace fiercely, protecting our child from the storm I created. Once, from a distance, I saw them together — my son laughing as he held her hand — and it broke me in ways words can’t capture.

Now I live with the quiet ache of hindsight. I’ve learned that love doesn’t survive on certainty; it survives on trust, humility, and the courage to silence your fears. Doubt is seductive — it masquerades as truth, whispering poison into your heart until you mistake suspicion for wisdom. I made that mistake, and it cost me a family.

Today, I try to live differently. I’ve accepted that the truth came too late for us, but not too late for me to change. Every time I think of them, I pray that one day my son will know who I truly was — not the man who walked away, but the man who finally understood what love really means: to believe, even when it hurts to.

U.S. Forces Destroy Narco-Submarine After Trump-Ordered Operation — Two Killed, Two Captured

U.S. Military Strikes “Drug-Carrying Submarine” in the Caribbean — Trump Declares Victory in Anti-Fentanyl Campaign

In what appeared to be a routine anti-narcotics mission, a sudden explosion lit up the Caribbean Sea this week. Hours later, President Donald Trump confirmed that U.S. forces had destroyed a “very large drug-carrying submarine,” releasing dramatic footage of the strike himself. The video, showing the vessel engulfed in flames, left many wondering about the true scale and secrecy of the operation.

Trump announced on Saturday that the submarine, intercepted along a known trafficking route, was laden primarily with fentanyl and other narcotics destined for the United States. The strike reportedly killed two suspected narco-terrorists and captured two survivors, who are now
detained aboard a U.S. Navy warship.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump emphasized the operation’s potential impact: preventing up to 25,000 overdose deaths nationwide.

“No U.S. forces were harmed in this strike. Under my watch, the United States will not tolerate narcoterrorists trafficking illegal drugs — by land or by sea,” Trump declared.

Fox News reported earlier about the rescue of two survivors, though Trump’s statement marks the first official acknowledgment of their identities. This marks the sixth major interdiction since U.S. forces intensified Caribbean operations last month as part of a broader campaign against maritime drug smuggling. However, the Pentagon has remained tight-lipped about mission details.

During a White House meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday, Trump briefly referenced the strike, calling it a decisive blow against global narcotrafficking.

“We attacked a submarine — a drug-carrying submarine — built specifically for the transport of massive amounts of drugs,” he told reporters.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed the survivors’ existence but withheld further information, citing national security concerns. Earlier in the week, Trump also disclosed authorizing CIA operations in the region, accompanied by a B-52 bomber flyover near Venezuelan waters described as a “show of force.”

The fentanyl epidemic continues to ravage the U.S., with synthetic opioids responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths. In May 2023, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) proposed the death penalty for fentanyl traffickers, highlighting the drug’s lethal toll.

“Three hundred Americans are murdered each day by fentanyl,” Greene wrote on social media. “It’s the leading killer of young people aged 18–34 in America.”

This stance reflects a broader Republican push for harsher drug laws amid criticism of current border policies. Lawmakers like Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) have similarly advocated life imprisonment or capital punishment for major traffickers, citing unprecedented overdose death
rates.

Gosar’s Death Penalty for Dealing Fentanyl Act of 2022 underscores the urgency: “More Americans have died from drug poisoning in the last two decades than in all U.S. combat losses since 1775.”

🔹 Conclusion

The destruction of the “drug-carrying submarine” has reignited national debate over the government’s war on fentanyl and an increasing U.S. military presence in the Caribbean. While Trump hails the strike as a landmark victory against narco-terrorism, defense officials remain
discreet, fueling speculation about a deeper, more covert conflict. Whether this mission signals a turning point in America’s fight against the global drug trade—or the start of a new chapter in maritime security—remains to be seen.

How Prince Louis and his siblings are getting a childhood their father ‘never had’

While Prince William and his wife say they want their children to have as normal childhood as possible without experiencing the burden of being part of the royal family, the public believes that the two princes and their sister are not exposed to the public eye enough.

“George, Charlotte and Louis are not only allowed to be playful, fun, spontaneous, and even cheeky in public, they are actively encouraged by their mum and dad, who often look at their most proud and most doting when they are doing so,” royal and body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail in 2023.

According to her, the freedom to have fun is vital for the young royals.

“William and Kate’s parenting duties were always going to be unique as they’re inducting a prince, princess, and future king into the rules, traditions, and formalities of the royal family as well as allowing three small children to have as much fun and freedom as possible as they do so,” she said.

Prince William wants to make sure his children are aware that not everyone is fortunate as they are.

Karwai Tang/WireImage

Despite this, Katie Nicholl argues that William and Kate keep George ‘under lock and key’ and don’t let the public “fall in love” with him while he is still young, according to Express.

When it comes to their youngest child, William and Kate make sure he’s treated gently. “William and Kate are easier on Louis because he’s the baby of the family. They don’t want to break his little spirit,” an insider told OK! Magazine.

“Louis is quite a handful,” the source added. “William and Kate do their best to teach him how to behave but understand these events are tiresome for a youngster. They are like other parents with young children in this way. It does make them more relatable to the public.

“They gently admonish him when he gets out of hand because he’s got to learn,” the source said of George and Charlotte. “William and Kate know the day will come and making faces won’t be ‘cute.’ Hopefully Louis will grow out of it.”

Rob Pinney/Getty Images

William does not want his children labeled or limited by expectations tied to their order of birth, especially after his brother, Prince Harry, released the book Spare in which he claimed he was the spare child.

“William is focused on creating a stable and private family life—the kind he never had when he was growing up,” Jennie Bond told GB News. “And so he wants to keep his family firmly rooted.”

“He’s already defined the way he wants to do things. He calls it royalty with a small ‘r,’” The royal expert continued, adding that she thinks a “‘forever’ home at Forest Lodge is in keeping with that philosophy.”

The untold story: How a difficult childhood forged a Hollywood icon

The life story of one of the most famous actresses Hollywood has ever seen, Judy Garland, is still filled with darkness and mysteries as to how the industry affected her health and how it pushed her to her limits, and eventually to her death.

Garland was the youngest of three sisters, all of which were singers and performers from very early age. Their mother forced them into the show business and was cruel when it came to following rules and being the best. In fact, it was Judy’s mother Ethel herself who caused pill addiction at Garland.

During an interview with Barbara Walters back in 1967, Garland described Ethel as a “mean” stage mother.

“She was very jealous because she had absolutely no talent,” she said. “She would stand in the wings, and if I didn’t feel good, she’d say, ‘You get out and sing or I’ll wrap you around the bedpost and break you off short!’ So I’d go out and sing.”

Being part of the showbiz wasn’t easy for someone as young as Garland. “As I recall, my parents were separating and getting back together all the time. It was very hard for me to understand those things and, of course, I remember clearly the fear I had of those separations,” the actress said back in the day.

In order to be able to perform many shows which lasted long into the night, Ethel would give Garland a bunch of pills to keep her going, after which she would give her other pills to calm her down, according to Garland’s biographer Gerald Clarke.

Garland was aware of the negative influence her mother had on her and referred to Ethel as of “the real Wicked Witch of the West.”

At the age of 13, Garland auditioned in front of MGM founder Louis B. Mayer who was stunned by her singing talent. He offered her a contract and that’s when the real hell started for young Garland.

According to her, the studio forced her to lose weight and forbid her from eating. They gave her even more pills and made her work 18 hours a day, six days a week.

“They had us working days and nights on end,” Garland recalled as quoted by Independent.

“They’d give us pills to keep us on our feet long after we were exhausted. Then they’d take us to the studio hospital and knock us out with sleeping pills – Mickey (Rooney) sprawled out on one bed and me on another.

“Then after four hours they’d wake us up and give us the pep pills again so we could work 72 hours in a row. Half of the time we were hanging from the ceiling but it was a way of life for us.”

Credit: Youtube/Msmojo

Mickey Ronney, however, denied Garland’s words. “Judy Garland was never given any [pills] by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Mr. Mayer didn’t sanction anything for Judy,” he said, as quoted by PBS. “No one on that lot was responsible for Judy Garland’s death. Unfortunately, Judy chose that path.”

The Wizard of Oz star passed away at the age of 47. Her then-husband Michael De Vinko found her lifeless body in the bathroom. The autopsy reveled the actress died of “Barbiturate poisoning (quinabarbitone) incautious self-overdosage. Accidental.”

Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland became terrific friends when working so closely together. He described their relationship as deep and thoughtful but said it was never romantic.

“Judy and I were so close we could’ve come from the same womb,” Rooney told Parade. “We weren’t like brothers or sisters, but there was no love affair there; there was more than a love affair. It’s very, very difficult to explain the depths of our love for each other. It was so special. It was a forever love. Judy, as we speak, has not passed away. She’s always with me in every heartbeat of my body.”

Some of the films they starred in alongside each other were Babes in Arms, Strike up the BandBabes on Broadway, and Girl Crazy.

“We made a lot of pictures together, Judy and I. She was a wonderful girl. We knew what we were going to say before we said it to each other. We were great friends, and I know that the world is sad to have lost Judy,” Mickey Rooney said in a Television Academy Foundation interview, adding that they “didn’t spend a lot of time together outside of the stage.”

“She had her own life to live, and I had mine,” he added.

The last film the two played together in was Words and Music in 1948.

Then, in 1963, the couple reunited as Mickey Rooney appeared in the first-ever production of The Judy Garland Show.

“It was wonderful because Judy had a wonderful dressing room. They had a yellow brick road leading from her dressing room down to the stage,” he recalled.

“It was wonderful working with Judy. I did a routine on her show called ‘The Golf Thing,’ and it was wonderful, [it was] Judy’s favorite thing that I did. Nothing had changed. It seemed like it was only yesterday that we had worked together.”
