Dad tells dog he got a kitten, and the internet can’t stop laughing at dog’s reaction

0

Imagine how great it would be if animals spoke using our language. Their behavior and their barking are many times more than enough for us to understand that they want to tell us they love us, but it still would be awesome if we could engage in conversations with them.

One dog owner told his pet, Clyde, how he got him an animal friend and the dog was so excited that the owner though he could do a voice-over. The final result? Beyond hilarious. This “conversation” has been seen more than 41 million times and people say how they can’t stop watching it. One person wrote “this never gets old” and we totally agree.

Youtube/Talking Animals

The talk starts with the owner telling Clyde how he visited the pet store that day and continues like this:

“Yeah I looked at the mice”
“Ye”
“Gerbils”
“Ye”
“Parrots”
“Ye”
“Newts”
“Ye”
“Hamsters”
“Ye”
“Kittens”
“Y-OH OH THATS IT THATS WHERE YOU STOP–”

It’s awesome how much Clyde loves to have a cat sister. He just can’t contain his joy when he hears the new member of the family meowing.

This video is definitely going to make you laugh. Check it out below.

A coffin with a gift bow was brought to our wedding during the ceremony — I nearly fainted when it opened

0

When her wedding day arrived, Sarah was both excited and nervous. She put a lot of effort to make it the most memorable day of her life. From the venue, to the menu and her dream wedding gown, she hoped everything would turn out perfect.

Her husband-to-be was an exceptional man and she couldn’t wait to say “I do” to him and spend her eternity by his side.

As her father placed his arm around her, he assured her that the day would be just as beautiful as she has always imagined. With tears of joy appearing in her eyes, she took him by the hand and the two walked down the aisle.

There, with a glimpse in his eyes, looking straight at her, was the man of her dreams. “The day couldn’t get any better,” she thought to herself with every step she took.

She had prepared her vows long before he proposed, and just as she was about to say them out loud for the world to hear them, she noticed a group of people heading toward them from a distance, carrying something. As they approached, she realized it was a coffin. And it had a bow on it.

She thought to herself that it had to be a joke. The guests were shocked.

At that moment, one of her fiance’s friends approached the coffin, that one friend who always made stupid pranks and acted as though he was still at high school.

He lifted the lid and took out of the coffin a photo of Jason, the groom. He then started laughing together with the rest of the friends.

It was their way to show that once Jason tied the knot, he would be “dead” to them, like in no more beer nights and hanging around as usual.

Unspash

Jason, knowing how silly his friend is, started laughing as well. The laughter spread among the guests who found the situation humorous and understood the friend’s message.

Sarah was relieved. She wasn’t mad, because despite the craziness of that prank, it made the entire experience even more memorable.

She and Jason proceeded to say their vows to each other, and their wedding day was a momentous occasion that people reminisced about for weeks.

Man shows up to his wedding in jeans and t-shirt – people on the internet give opinions

0

Healthy relationships consist of mutual support and respect for one another. When two people say “I do,” they commit to one another and to their future together.

The truth is that the wedding day is remembered as one of the most special events in most people’s lives and that is the reason why so much finances and so much effort are usually put into this meaningful event.

However, not everyone believes that they should give their best on this day, just like the groom from the following story.

Recently, a TikTok user uploaded a video of the wedding of her friend Catherine. The user explained that her friend didn’t believe that should fall in love ever in her life, but things changed this summer and she fell head over heels for the man she was now tying the knot with.

One thing was certain, Catherine was excited to be walking down the aisle. She was wearing a very beautiful wedding gown, jewelry, and expensive make up, making her looking gorgeous. Sadly, the same thing couldn’t be said about the groom, who appeared on his wedding day wearing a black T-shirt, jeans, and white sneakers.

The contrast between the couple’s choice of clothing made many give their opinion on not only the couple but their marriage as well.

A photo of the bride and groom was also shared on Reddit with the caption, “Groom’s wearing jeans at a fancy wedding.”

“This is probably indicative of the amount of effort he’ll put into the marriage as well,” one person wrote.

“I wonder how long this marriage lasted. She looks great, he looks like he couldn’t care,” another person added.

“He’s just letting her know she has a life of him not giving a f— about her ahead of her,” a third agreed.

Of course, there were also those who defended the groom’s choice of outfit.

“She looks absolutely beautiful, I love her dress. Not sure what their circumstances are but I wish them both the best,” one commenter shared their thoughts.

“Dunno. Maybe she wanted a dress like this, [he] wanted the outfit he had on their first dates, both are happy the other is dressed as they like,” another commenter speculated. “Over or underdressed for some standards, well dressed for their own standard.”

A third commenter added in unison, writing, “If they are happy, then who cares? If the groom just couldn’t be a–ed then that’s very sad.”

I can never forget my husband for changing his will behind my back

0

Alice, a single mom of two daughter, met Nicholas when she was at the lowest point in her life. It didn’t take long before they fell for one another and tied the knot. Having been divorced and having an estranged son, Nicholas filled in the role of a fatherly figure for the girls and raised them as his own.

Life seemed perfect. Years passed by and Alice’s daughters got married and had their own families.

Nicholas was always present in their lives. What’s most, he was the perfect granddad to one of his stepdaughter’s children.

Over the years, he never spoke to his ex-wife and barely connected with his son, Nick Jr.

Pexels

One time, he and Nick got into a quarrel and Nick called his father names. He refused to have any contact with Nicholas, and Nicholas seemed to have come to terms with the harsh reality.

Alice and Nicholas’ marriage resembled a fairy tale. They got along perfectly and were happy by each other side. But that was until a “faithful” decision changed it all.

Out of the blue, Nicholas informed Alice one night that he had changed his will and was leaving everything to his son once his passes away. That included the huge house he and Alice lived in and all his savings. This came as a shock to Alice. Nicholas was perfectly healthy, so why would he even think about dying.

Pexels

This meant that in case of his passing, Alice was going to be both homeless and penniless. She was both angered and disappointed. She and Nicholas had been together for over 20 years. How could he do something like that to her.

Devastated, Alice contacted her daughter Darlene, telling her about Nicholas’ will. Darlene was as stunned as her mother. She said she didn’t expect her stepdad to leave anything to her and her sister, but her mom had the right to that house as much as Nicholas.

Darlene then called her sister Rosaline, and they both agreed that their stepdad’s decision was wrong on so many levels.

They advised their mother to talk to Nicholas and try to make him change his mind, but Alice knew her husband all too well and knew she couldn’t influence his choices. Yet, she spoke to him again, but to no avail.

Pexels

That night, she took some of her belongings and went to Rosaline’s place. No matter how hard it was, the three decided to take Nicholas to court and overturn his will.

Eventually, he decided to sell the house and give Alice half the money. She also received a portion of his savings but never saw him again. According to her, Nicholas never truly considered her and her daughters his family.

A surfing star and actor from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ died in a shark attack

0

A lifeguard and surf instructor, who had roles in movies like Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Blue Crush, died Sunday due to a suspected shark attack on Oahu’s North Shore, Hawaii, officials reported.

Tamayo Perry, 49, was a respected North Shore waterman and had served with Honolulu Ocean Safety for eight years, according to a statement by Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi.

“It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of one of our incredibly dedicated City and County of Honolulu lifeguards, who tragically lost his life today in an apparent shark attack on the North Shore,” Blangiardi said. “Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and colleagues in Ocean Safety during this incredibly difficult time.”

Perry “exemplified bravery, commitment and a deep sense of duty, serving our community with unwavering dedication. His heroic actions and tireless efforts to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors will never be forgotten,” Blangiardi added.

The Honolulu Emergency Services Department issued a statement writing a surfer was “fatally injured” in a shark attack off Goat Island on June 23, just before 1 p.m. local time.

The person who called the emergency services reported that the surfer’s body had multiple bite wounds.

His body was brought ashore by lifeguards using a Jet Ski, and EMS paramedics declared him dead at the scene, officials said. The surfer was identified as Perry, confirmed by Ocean Safety.

Acting Chief Kurt Lager of Honolulu Ocean Safety stated at a press conference, “Tamayo Perry was a lifeguard loved by all.”

Emilia Perry, a fellow surfer, said of her husband, “Tragic though his passing may be, he left this world doing what he loved, where he loved to do it.”

According to Surfer magazine, Perry was renowned for his expertise at Pipeline, one of the world’s most famous surf breaks, located off Ehukai Beach Park on Oahu’s north side.

The Encyclopedia of Surfing notes that he was close friends with singer Jack Johnson and was born and raised on Oahu’s east side.

Perry and his spouse ran a surf school together on the North Shore of Oahu.

On Monday, condolences poured in from across the surfing community.

“This one is hard to believe,” surfing legend Kelly Slater wrote, “Your truly lived the life you loved.”

We are so very sorry for this loss. May he rest in peace.

Why Prince William was ‘furious’ when relationship with Kate Middleton was made public

0

The love story of the Prince and Princess of Wales caught the attention of the wide public the moment their relationship went public.

William and Kate met at St. Andrews University. At the time, the Prince didn’t enjoy the classes because he was far away for home. Speaking of those days he said he didn’t think he was homesick, but “daunted,” according to royal author Katie Nicholl.

“My father was very understanding about it and realized I had the same problem as he probably had. We chatted a lot, and in the end we both realized—I definitely realized—that I had to come back,” William was reported to have said.

During the second term, William laid eyes on Kate, who was described as “quiet” and “shy.” It didn’t take long before he asked her to join him at the dinning hall.

In the fall of 2002, they both moved to an off-campus apartment together with other friends. The Prince, however, was nearly not allowed to move in due to the “no boys policy.”

“We’d had an unfortunate experience with some boys in the flat once before and we were determined not to have young men there again. Broken furniture, broken windows – there was a lot of damage, so that put us off really. I said to this young lady we’d really rather not have more boys and she said, ‘What if I were to tell you that it was Prince William?’” Charlotte Smith, the landlady, told the Daily Mail.

It was Smith’s husband who convinced her to make an exception for the young Prince.

“We arranged to meet Kate Middleton, Fergus and Olivia before they moved in but we thought we’d better not ask to see Prince William because we thought his credit rating must be quite good. But he insisted on meeting us,” she added.

William was a romantic guy who would try to impress Kate with cooking for her.

What he feared at the time was that if their relationship went public, the paparazzi would go after Kate, and he didn’t want that because he was very protective of her.

However, during a ski trip, a photographer took a photo of the couple cozied up on the slopes and that photo appeared on the cover of a magazine the following day. Needless to say, this left William enraged.

“Unfortunately for them, a paparazzi photographer took pictures of William and Kate clearly very close on the ski lift together. A red top tabloid newspaper slashed it all over their front page,” royal expert Rebecca England said on Channel 5’s documentary William & Kate: Too Good To Be True. “William was furious, and he was also genuinely worried for Kate and her family about what this would now mean for them.”

Chris Jackson/Getty Images

And as everyone believed a royal marriage was just around the corner, the two split in 2007.

Recalling the time of their break up, both Kate and William claimed it was actually good for them because they got to “find themselves.” Kate even said that “you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you’re younger,” as per The Telegraph.

The two got back together in 2008 and William proposed to Kate in 2010 during a trip to Kenya with his late mother’s engagement ring.

Today, after three children and years of being together, William and Kate’s relationship is as strong as ever.

Prince William & Kate Middleton were warned not to have a third child

0

Being a much-loved member of the British Royal Family, Kate Middleton’s life has been closely followed by the public and the media.

Back in the day, when it was announced that she and William were dating and later got engaged, Britons seemed to have embraced the new Princess with arms wide open. The news that she was carrying a baby boy, a future king, made the public fall for Kate even more.

When pregnant with George, the Princess was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, acute morning sickness. She had to go to the hospital, an experience she recalled as “rotten.” Sadly, she experienced the same while carrying her other two children.

In 2020, Kate Middleton was a guest on Giovanna Fletcher’s podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby, where she spoke of her condition.

“[It was] utterly rotten. I was really sick,” she said.

“I wasn’t eating the things I should be eating and yet the body was still able to take all the goodness from my body and to grow new life, which I think is fascinating.”

The princess continued: “William didn’t feel he could do much to help and it’s hard to see you’re suffering without actually being able to do anything about it.”

She was happy when she was in labor, she added. “Because actually, it was an event that I knew there was going to be an ending to,” she explained. “But I know some people have really, really difficult times, so it’s not for everybody. No pregnancy is the same, no birth is the same.”

Asked if she remembered how long she had between giving birth to George and later posing on the Lindo Wing steps, Kate said, “Oh my gosh, I can’t remember. Everything goes in a bit of a blur.”

She concluded: “I think, yeah, I did stay in hospital overnight. I remember it was one of the hottest days and nights with huge thunderstorms, so I didn’t get a huge amount of sleep, but George did, which was really great. I was keen to get home because, for me, being in hospital, I had all the memories of being in hospital because of being sick so it wasn’t a place I wanted to hang around in. So, I was really desperate to get home and get back to normality.”

Kate and William welcomed their second child, Princess Charlotte, in 2015, and Prince Louis in 2018. Just like their oldest sibling, Charlotte and Louis were presented to the world at the steps of Lindo Wing at London St. Mary’s Hospital.

However, before falling pregnant with Louis, Kate was warned not to give birth to another child.

The Executive Director President Anne Green Carter Dillard of the children’s organization Having Kids – which promotes a “sustainable and child-centered family planned mode” – urged Prince William and Kate Middleton to rethink their decision.

In fact, he presented his opinion in an open letter.

“As you know and appreciate, the example the British Royal Family sets is extremely influential. Many studies also show that public figures serve as effective role models when it comes to family planning. Your discussion of having a larger family raises compelling issues of sustainability and equity,” the letter read.

“Large families are not sustainable.”

Yet, the Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed sweet Prince Louis, and we are glad they did because he’s an exceptional young boy.

Prince William feared Prince Harry was ‘blindsided by lust’ when dating Meghan Markle

0

When Prince Harry introduced his then-girlfriend Meghan Markle to his brother, Prince William, the two were said to have “clicked” right away.

William was very fond of her, although she believed at the time that the relationship between the two would be “trying” from the off, according to Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, authors of the Pro-Sussex biography Finding Freedom.

“She was self-aware enough to understand that the brothers were wary of women who were more interested in their titles than their wellbeing,” Scobie and Durand wrote in the book. “And she couldn’t have come from a more different world than that of William, his wife, and most of their friends.”

The first-ever encounter between William and Meghan was quite pleasant for both of them.

William was reported to have said to his brother’s girlfriend: “I was looking forward to meeting the girl who has put that silly grin on my brother’s face.”

Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images

However, despite the initial connection, William believed Harry was rushing things with Meghan and advised him to take it slow, which Harry didn’t like.

“William soon began to wonder about some of Meghan’s traits and motivations,” a source told the Daily Mail, as revealed by the Express.

“He was worried that at times she seemed to be more concerned about her personal progression or profile over the wider goals and aims of the Royal Family.

The future king was said to have told his brother, “Don’t feel you need to rush this,” and “Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl.” Allegedly, Harry got upset by the phrase “this girl,” but all William wanted was “to make sure that Harry wasn’t blindsided by lust,” Omid Scobie wrote.

Eventually, William decided not to interfere because he could see Meghan was trying to do adjustments in order to fit in the family.

Chris Jackson/Getty Images

When it comes to Meghan and Kate, their relationship hasn’t been a close one since the beginning. The reason why, according to royal authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, was that the two never made real efforts to get to know each other better.

“Meghan would agree with the assessment that the Duchesses were not the best of friends,” they wrote in Finding Freedom. “Their relationship hadn’t progressed much since [Markle] was Harry’s girlfriend.”

Further, the authors claimed that Meghan expected some form of support from Kate, especially during the hard time she had experienced with the press, but she didn’t receive it.

According to what Harry wrote in Spare, Meghan and Kate got into an argument prior to the Sussexes’ wedding.

Allegedly, Kate wasn’t happy with Princess Charlotte’s dress, who was a flower-girl.

Richard Pohle – WPA Pool/Getty Images

However, although Kate claimed her daughter was in distress because of the dress, which allegedly was “too big, too long, too baggy,” she refused to meet Meghan’s tailor at Kensington Palace to have it fixed.

“Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father,” Harry said. “Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!”

“I’m not sure what else to say. If the dress doesn’t fit then, please take Charlotte to see Ajay. He’s been waiting all day,” Meghan texted Kate, according to Harry.

Kate replied with, “Fine,” Harry explained in his all-tell memoir.

Samir Hussein/WireImage

The relationship between the two has been stranded ever since Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties. However, when Kate disclosed with the public her cancer diagnosis some months ago, the Sussexes reached out to her, sharing their concerns and offering support.

Meghan refuses to travel to Britain with her children due to the lack of protection, which further deepens the rift with the rest of the royals.

A woman enters the hospital with a blanket-covered bundle, assumed to be a child- When she reveals it, the staff falls silent

0

Shelbey Hennick is the granddaughter anyone could ask for. This compassionate 21-year-old young lady always knows how to make her granny laugh. But this time, it looked like she had to put a bit more effort in order to lift lovely grandma Donna’s spirit. The poor woman fell ill and ended up at the hospital. Shelbey knew she had to do everything she could to cheer her loving grandma up.

A bunch of interesting ideas went through her mind, but eventually one that couldn’t be surpassed popped up.

Although what she had on mind was a bit tricky, she was determined to proceed with her plan of bringing Donna’s best friend Patsy for a visit. Patsy is the sweetest little pooch this grandma loves with all her heart.

YouTube

Shelby shared with Inside Edition the touching story of Donna. She took the puppy in while it was till a baby and nurtured her from the day she entered her home. From bottle feeding, to making sure she has the coziest life a puppy could have, Patsy became an inseparable part of Donna’sx  existence.

“She’s had this dog forever, and this dog is her baby. She was small enough to fit in the palm of her hand.”

YouTube

The way everything unfolded resembles a movie-like scene. Not having the time to take a veterinarian permission to bring Patsy to the hospital, Shelby did something that made us laugh.

She wrapped Patsy into a blanket and entered the hospital, deceiving the staff into believing she was caring a baby.

She told Inside Edition that she wasn’t really worried about the repercussions.

“It was just so spur-of-the-moment and I didn’t have time to go to my grandma’s veterinarian’s office… Nobody would have stopped me to see my baby. The worst they could have told me was to leave.”

Seeing her puppy was the ultimate surprise that made Donna feel better in an instant.

“It made her a lot happier. She wasn’t feeling very good and it made her more relaxed. She did go home the next day. Medically, it didn’t have anything to do with Patsy, but I’m still thinking it had a little bit to do with her.”

YouTube

Take a look at the video and see how this lovely granddaughter put her crazy plan into action. What a witty young woman.

Dog saved from coyote attack by an unlikely hero

0

Some of our all-time favorite cartoons from our younger days have taught us that cats and dogs don’t get along. Their disagreements have been portrayed in funny manners that convinced us these creatures are sworn enemies.

The truth is that science says the same.

Scientists state that the innate rivalry between canines and felines has existed for millions of years, long before they were domesticated, and that is the reason why the stories of friendships between cats and dogs are our favorite.

Lane Dyer, of Edmond, Oklahoma, is a proud mom of a 6-year-old Havanese dog named Oakley, and a black cat named Binx.

Binx appeared on Dyer’s doorstep when she was still a little kitten, around two-months old.

Screenshoot

Oakley and Binx have been “polar opposites,” but they have always got along well.

Recently, Binx proved just how great of a friend she is when she stepped up for Oakley and saved her from an unexpected coyote attack.

Oakley was left out of the house to use the bathroom when she was suddenly attacked by the wild animal. Being tiny, she couldn’t defend herself and was overpowered by the coyote.

As she struggled to get away, another coyote appeared. Oakley was helpless. Luckily, Binx witness the scary attack and decided to act. She ran towards the wild animals and scared them off.

Oakley was badly hurt, “gushing blood” from her chest. Her leg was also injured, but vets tried to save it from being amputated.

Once the ordeal was over, the family checked the security cameras and that’s when they realized it was the cat who saved her doggy friend.

Sharing the video for her social media friends and followers to see, she captioned it, “the craziest thing ever.

Speaking to KFOR, Dyer said, “I was kind of inspired by it, quite frankly. It was inspiring to see just our little outdoor cat just jump at two coyotes that were attacking this little dog who she loves and run them off.”

Oakley needed surgery in order to recover fully, but she’s happy she’s got someone like her cat friend who’s got her back.

Rachael Ray addresses fans with concerning health update following slurred speech video

In an Instagram video in which she paid tribute to late Tony Bennett by preparing his favorite dish, chef Rachael Ray seemed to be struggling with her speech. Her “slurring” of the words and a portion of her face seemingly dropping concerned her fans. Comments began flooding in with a number of people speculating she has been having problems with alcoholism while others suspected she has had a stroke.

“I think it’s a mini stroke. Part of her mouth seems sinking. When was this????,” one user noted in the comments, while another stated, “She’s aging like the rest of us. Maybe she has a medical condition, maybe she is on medication. Regardless, no need to be mean.” Someone else commented, “It’s obvious something going on and I’d say alcohol based on swollen face and body.”

“One corner of her mouth is much lower than the other. The nurse in me would have her go into be checked for any side effect from a Stroke or Bells Paly. Please make sure to get checked? Life is just too short,” another fan noted.

If she’s going through a health issue, let’s wish her well but calling her names or making fun of her is downright terrible. What’s wrong with some of y’all?”

Ray hasn’t commented on the video that was posted in September right away. Instead, she only decided to speak up about it during the debut episode of her I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead podcast.

The 56-year-old opened up about the need to perform household chores, saying, “I’m a homemaker. I love chores. I love being in the kitchen,” adding, “I always work with my brain every day, I’m always writing something, but I really like chores.”

She added: “I like what people consider physical work,” she continued. “I like making dinner, planning dinners, making lists. I love physical labor, helping carry in the wood.”

The chef added that she’s secretly competing with her husband when it comes to chores around the house. “‘How many pieces of wood did John carry? Can I carry more? I don’t say that to John. I just say it to myself,” she said.

Ray then confessed she had experienced “a couple of bad falls” which forced her to take some break from her everyday tasks but she didn’t say what exactly.

True stories that become more terrifying with every detail

0

From eerie encounters, to unsolved mysteries, the following real-life stories get scarier with every detail they reveal.

If you are not terrified by the horror and the supernatural, we dare you to continue reading. You’d be surprised how chilling real life can get.

  • I woke up at 3 a.m. to get water. I heard my son’s voice from his room, saying, “Mom, can you turn off the light?” I didn’t think twice—I switched it off. As I got back into bed, it hit me… my son
wasn’t home; he had gone camping. I ran to his room and froze when I saw it was empty. I was 100% sure I heard my son’s voice—or at least someone talking to me in a sleepy tone. When I told my husband, he laughed it off, saying it was probably in my head, but I swear the voice was real. That moment still creeps me out.
  • My boyfriend told me that when he was a kid, he used to hear whispers and have conversations in one of the rooms at night. Intrigued, he entered the room out of curiosity, and someone tapped him on the back so hard that he fell unconscious. When he woke up, there was a big mark on his back, resembling a scratch from large paws, and it’s still there today. It’s creepy.

  • One summer night when I was in high school, I was asleep with my window open. At around 3 a.m., I heard someone ferociously honking their car horn over and over. At this point, I wasn’t fully awake and comprehending where the sound was coming from. Then suddenly, I heard a woman scream, “Somebody, please help me!”
This made me jump out of bed instantly, and I ran to my mom’s room to tell her we needed to call 911. My mom called and reported the incident. After a few minutes, we saw the cops arrive, they looked around with flashlights for a few minutes but couldn’t find anyone in their car, so they ended up leaving.
The next day, we asked the neighbors if they heard or saw anything, and no one had even heard a peep. It still weirds me out to this day. © No_Director2816 / Reddit
  • I was on the Tube in London, and a guy was sitting right opposite me with a very unusual, colorful t-shirt that was eye-catching. So, I spent the journey glancing at him and his shirt, as you do when you’re on the Tube.
I got off at my stop, and the t-shirt guy stayed on the train. On my way up the escalator to street level, the same guy passed me on the opposite escalator coming down from the street.
There was no way he could’ve been there—I left him on the train. It freaked me out good and proper. © Abervilla / Reddit
  • When I was a kid, I remember lying on my bedroom floor with the door wide open while my parents watched TV in the living room at around 1 a.m. Suddenly, I’d try to get up to use the bathroom, and my brain would almost act out me doing it.
It wasn’t until about the fifth time that I realized I had never actually gotten up. I was stuck on the floor, unable to move, talk, or call for my parents. It felt like something had sucked the soul out of my body, and I was pinned to the ground. It wasn’t until my dad walked in to put me in my bed that I started bawling my eyes out. © Stockwaa / Reddit
  • Many, many years ago, there was an abandoned old house at the far end of a plant nursery. We had heard from others that they would go there to party. So, one night, a friend of mine, his girlfriend, and I grabbed some snacks and headed over, guided only by the light of the moon. We found the dilapidated house behind some tall trees and moved towards it.
As we got closer, I heard a single frog croaking. As we approached even more, more frogs started making noise. A few steps further, the sound of thousands of frogs drowned out all other noises, seemingly warning us not to venture closer to the blackened window home. We took the frogs’ advice and went back home with our snacks, where it was safe. © Buck-osogrande-5150 / Reddit
  • This just happened a week ago. In my bedroom, there’s a small hallway that leads to the master bath. I had woken up in the middle of the night and was still in that twilight zone between sleep and awake. I looked down that dark hall and clear as day was a little kid. The kid turned and looked at me and got one of those huge horror movie evil smiles on its face and then started running at me. I actually jumped out of bed and screamed. It was gone. I woke up my cat, and she looked at me like I was crazy. It took a while to go back to sleep after that. HumpieDouglas/ Reddit
  • My mom doesn’t like driving on the highway so when I was a teenager we’d take the back way when visiting my grandparents. There was one town we’d always pass through that gave us the creeps. It was very small, no grocery store, no gas station, just some houses, a church, and a community centre that was weirdly nowhere near the rest of the town. A lot of main roads went near it, but not through it, it was the kind of place that most people didn’t pass though. We never saw anyone on the street, occasionally you’d see a shadowy figure peeking out from a porch but that was it. There was a huge park with a nice looking playground that we never saw a single child at. If vampires were real, this is definitely where they’d live. Once me and my mom decided to drive down a side street in this town just to see what was there. We came across a car repair shop which was weird because we never saw any cars there and as soon as we approached, this guy came out. His face was not the shape of a normal human face, it was kind of lumpy. Obviously some people have facial deformities, nothing scary about that but there was something so unsettling about this guy, he stormed out and then just stopped and stared at us with the angriest look I’ve ever seen. It didn’t help that this was the only human we’d ever seen outside in a town we’d driven through dozens of times. We quickly noped out of there and never explored that side street again. ihopeyoulikeapples/ Reddit
  • When I was 16, I decided to skip school and stay home to play video games. I set up my PlayStation and made some hot pockets, and just when I was getting comfortable, I heard footsteps approaching my room. I glanced outside and noticed my parents weren’t home yet, but I still felt afraid of getting caught. With no place to hide, I froze in place.
Suddenly, the door was flung open, and I heard a blood-curdling scream echo through the house. I must have sat there petrified in that room for half an hour before finally going outside and waiting for my parents to come home. I tried to explain to my friends later what happened, but they thought I was just making up some internet-inspired story. © IAmTheRules / Reddit
  • When I was a child, around 7, I lived in a house where the previous owner had passed away. My parents were unfazed by it, as they didn’t believe in the paranormal and thought nothing would happen.
My room was the coldest in the house, and one night I woke up to a pale, lean man staring at me from the end of my bed. I didn’t scream; I was so shocked I must’ve fainted because the next thing I knew, it was morning. I never told my parents for fear of seeming crazy. But I remember his face so well. © Informal_Mushroom115 / Reddit
  • When I was a kid in the early 2000s, my sister and I had a TV in our room that was just for watching DVDs (we did not have cable). On occasion, the TV would turn to a black terminal screen and start typing words to us. It would essentially curse us out and also identify that we were two girls. We thought it was funny and crazy and would call up our parents, saying, “Look what the TV is doing!”
As adults, my sister and I are beyond creeped out at how the TV was able to do that. As to who or what was behind this phenomenon, we still have no idea. © neogirl22 / Reddit

William and Kate might decide not to have a fourth child in fears over public backlash, royal expert claims

0

Being born into royalty means enjoying lavishing lifestyle, owning mansions, and basically, having the world in the palm of your hand. The world’s fascination with the royal babies starts even when they are still in their mother’s womb. In the first hours of them being welcomed into the world, millions of people are eagerly waiting for their first photos to be printed in magazines. In a word, royal children are privileged from the moment they are born and their lives are closely followed by the press and the media.

The news of the birth of Prince George on July 22, 2013, who is third in line of succession after his father, Prince William, and his grandfather, Prince Charles, took the world by storm. His arrival was celebrated not only in Britain, but in every part of the world. Some two years later, the royal family welcomed Princess Charlotte, who was born on May 2, 2015. The youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Louis, was born on April 23, 2018.

The children are all very special in their own way. Speaking of their passion at this period of their lives, dad William revealed, “There’s a lot of hip movements going along. There’s a lot of dressing up. Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything.

“She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around, trying to do the same thing. It’s a really happy moment where the children just enjoy dancing, messing around and, and singing.”

According to her mom, Princess Charlotte isn’t just crazy for dressing up, but she’s into sports, too.

“Charlotte is really into gymnastics, she’s doing cartwheels, handstands, everything,” Princess of Wales said, as per Entertainment Daily. “It’s so good for their basic skills of balance and coordination.”

“And their flexibility, it’s really good for their long-term health, isn’t it? We went to watch the Cirque du Soleil recently, it was amazing,” William added.

Prince George, who is second in the line of succession after his father, loves attending high-profile football and rugby matches and, more recently, tennis.

In July, George attended the Wimbledon men’s tennis final, which wouldn’t be what it is without a royal member in attendance.

Besides this, Prince George is said to be interested in martial arts.

“It’s not just Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte that Catherine has to take under her wing, nurture, and make sure they understand the workings of the monarchy. Prince George, one day, will become our King, yes a big responsibility already for a nine-year-old,” royal commentator and expert Neil Sean said in a video on his YouTube Channel.

“Even more so if you’re Princess Catherine because, now sadly, for her, she’s a little bit reticent about this idea. [George] apparently has taken up the idea of martial arts.”

Although he’s still very young, it looks like Prince George is well-aware he will be King of Britain one day. Just like his father, he is expected to be a full-time working royal, and his parents make sure he is well prepared for that role.

“William has not revealed to the world how and when he broke the big news to his son,” royal historian Robert Lacey wrote in his book, Battle of Brothers.

“But sometime around the boy’s seventh birthday in the summer of 2020, it is thought that his parents went into more detail about what the little prince’s life of future royal ‘service and duty’ would particularly involve.”

Shutterstock

So far, it isn’t known whether the Prince and Princess of Wales are planning of having another child, but according to ITV News’ royal editor, Chris Ship, if they do, they are likely to face criticism by the public especially the ‘green lobby’ because William is heavily involved in campaigns on environmental issues and many believe that if people are that interested in the planet, they shouldn’t have many children, according to Ship.

“I’m sure William might open himself up to some criticism from that, sort of, green lobby if he were to have a fourth.”

Ship added that his personal belief is that William and Kate are done with three.

Royal expert offers a grim take on the state of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship

0

When Harry and Meghan made the decision to leave Britain behind, they hoped for a life out of the spotlight—at least, that’s what they presented to the public. However, things didn’t turn out that way. In fact, the couple exposed themselves to the media—the very same media they tried to escape from—to an extent that contradicted their desire to protect their privacy.

They ventured into several businesses and made contracts with huge platforms such as Spotify and Netflix. As we know, some of those deals failed, but the Sussexes found ways to support their lifestyle.

Harry published his all-tell memoir Spare, which sold in a staggering 1.4 million copies on its first day in the UK, United States, and Canada.

“We always knew this book would fly, but it is exceeding even our most bullish expectations,” Larry Finlay, managing director of Transworld Penguin Random House, said.

“As far as we know, the only books to have sold more in their first day are those starring the other Harry (Potter).”

As of late, Meghan launched her luxurious brand, American Riviera Orchard. In the promotional video, she was featured walking around the beautiful mansion and cooking.

The first product, a lemon-filled gift basket containing fresh fruit jam, was sent to the Duchess’ closest 50 friends, many of whom celebrities.

As per her PR expert Mayah Riaz, Meghan could make as much as seven figures within the first month of launching the brand.

“So far, the jams have been sent to only 50 people. This suggests that it will be an exclusive and limited edition item,” Riaz shared with the Mirror.

“It has already been reported a single jam jar could cost three figures. I believe that is entirely likely from what we have seen so far. This is not rare for a celebrity brand.”

The PR expert added, “Therefore, my estimation is that American Riveria Orchard in under a year could make Meghan seven figures. It is entirely possible for the brand to make multi-seven figures by the end of next year,” the PR guru added.

As per Harpers Bazaar, the Duchess will extend her brand on selling kitchen items and home decor.

According to the initial trademark application made in February, her company will offer “jellies, jams, marmalades, fruit preserves, edible oils and fats, and preserves, vegetable-based spreads, legume-based spreads, nut-based spreads, garlic-based spreads, sesame-based spreads, dairy-based spreads, nut butters, fruit butters.”

It’s clear that both Harry and Meghan have pursued post-royal career, or at least they are trying to.

Royal expert Tina Brown – author of best-selling royal biographies The Diana Chronicles and The Palace Papers, had a say on this and stated, “In England, they’re going to constantly make a career out of trashing Harry. But actually, the thing about Harry is he’s very good at being Prince Harry.”

Appearing on The Ankler, Brown added: “That’s the tragedy of all of this, is that he is the most talented member of the Royal Family, without doubt, in terms of being a prince, which is all he does know how to do… he’s really sort of flawless at it.”

Mat Hayward/FilmMagic

Further, Brown, who was friends with late Princess Diana, said Meghan has never really had any good ideas.

“I think [Prince Harry] is pretty much in the thrall of Meghan. The trouble with Meghan is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world. She’s flawless about getting it all wrong… She really is,” Brown said.

“She’s a perfectionist about getting it all wrong… Her issue is that she doesn’t listen… She has all these people, asks them their opinion, and then doesn’t follow it. She does what she wants to do. And all of her ideas are total crap, unfortunately.”

According to the royal expert, Harry is “blindly” following his wife.

“(Harry is) the lamb to the slaughter in this situation,” Brown concluded. “He was terribly impressed by Meghan. He thought that she knew all, she persuaded him that she was the savvy Hollywood wheeler-dealer who could come in and make them stars and all the rest of it. And he just sort of blindly followed her like a child, really.”

Vizzor Image/Getty Images

When Harry released Spare, it further affected his relationship with his father and brother. Despite that, rumors were that he was going to publish another book. The same was said of Meghan.

When she appeared on The Cut in 2023, Meghan mentioned that she kept a diary. Alongside this, she said she was never asked to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement when she and Harry left the monarchy.

Many saw Meghan’s words as a “threat.”

Expert Roya Nikkhah discussed Meghan’s interview, saying, “The thinly veiled threats that came in [Meghan’s interview with The Cut] …I think [she] probably hopes it does [feel threatening] to the Royal Family… [But] I think there’s a lot of eye-rolling, going, ‘We’re used to this by now’… [But] that phrase, ‘I have a lot to say until I don’t’ and, ‘I’ve never signed anything that restricts me from talking’… there was a very strong inference there.”

Further, Nikkhah added: “And, of course, the reminder that she keeps a journal, and [her] revelation that, ‘when we came back to Windsor, to Frogmore Cottage for the Jubilee, I rediscovered my journal that I’d left there’ – I was astonished to discover that she had left a highly private diary behind in Windsor, rather than taking it back.

“She’s mentioned a couple of times in the last year or two that she kept a journal, and I think there is a very strong inference that Meghan could write her own memoir,” Nikkhah concluded.

John Nacion/Getty Images

Royal expert Jennie Bond believes the same. According to her, Meghan moved on when she stepped down from her royal duties, but the journal she spoke of “will remain a potential weapon in her back pocket” if she ever seeks revenge.

“Obviously the journal she mentioned will remain a potential weapon in her back pocket if she ever feels the need to seek some sort of revenge. But she has behaved with discretion and dignity ever since Oprah and the documentary series.”

Bond continued: “I think she is looking forwards, not backwards and is moving on with her life. So I don’t think we should be raising false alarms about any potential memoir.”

If you see this in your yard, do not break it under any circumstances

Purslane, or Portulaca oleracea, is a herb native to Asia which is spread worldwide. Although many consider it just weed, it is in fact a plant that is edible and extremely nutritious.

Among the rest, this plant is rich in antioxidants, minerals, omega-3 fatty acids, and beneficial plant compounds. Being full of beta-carotene, the pigment responsible for the reddish color of its stems and leaves and an antioxidant believed to reduce the number of free radicals in your body, purslane lowers the risk of cancer.

It is also helpful for supporting your cardiovascular system as it has the highest-recorded levels of omega-3 fatty acids of any land-based plant.

Among the rest, purslane is a great source of calcium and magnesium, two minerals that help keep your bones strong and healthy.

By including purslane in your diet, you can give your overall health a significant boost.

Purslane, which also goes by the names pigweed, little hogweed, fatweed and pusley, contains about 93% water and is similar in taste with spinach. It is also very crunchy and juicy. Purslane can be eaten cooked or raw and it is a fantastic addition to salads, soups, and stews.

What’s great about this plant is that it can be planted in dry, hot regions, as well as gardens of low maintenance. This means purslane practically grows without any help at all and can be even spotted on sidewalk cracks as it easily adapts to harsher conditions.

However, although it doesn’t require any special conditions or perfect soil, this plant’s impressive root system plays a vital role in improving soil health and preventing erosion. So, not only it would beautify your garden, but it would also naturally enhance the fertility and stability of your soil.

The United States Department of Agriculture refers to it as of a “noxious weed,” and in some regions its cultivation is limited or prohibited.

Besides being a perfect addition to your diet, purslane can attract beneficial insects to your garden. Bees and butterflies are just some of the pollinators that are drawn to its beautiful flowers.

It truly looks like purslane is the perfect plant that would made a valuable addition to your diet and to your garden.

BREAKING NEWS! Horrific accident!

0

At least 15 people have tragically lost their lives following a crash between a bus carrying elderly passengers and a truck in Manitoba, Canada. The incident happened near Carberry, west of Winnipeg, on the Trans-Canada Highway. According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), 10 people, including both drivers, were transported to the hospital with significant injuries.

Eyewitness John Proven described the scene as a “huge accident” with a vehicle in flames and a semi-truck nearby, its front end severely damaged. The bus was carrying seniors from Dauphin to the Sand Hills Casino in Carberry when the tragic accident took place. Emergency services, including an air ambulance and 12 other ambulances, were quickly dispatched.

Authorities are still determining why the bus entered the truck’s lane, though footage showed the truck had the right of way. RCMP Superintendent Rob Lasson emphasized that no blame has been assigned at this time, as the investigation is still ongoing.

This accident has drawn comparisons to the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy in Saskatchewan, in which 16 people died. Manitoba officials have sought assistance from those involved in the Humboldt investigation, given the similarities in both incidents.

William Doherty, CEO of the trucking company involved, expressed deep sorrow and offered full cooperation with the investigation. He told CTV News that “the thoughts of the entire Day & Ross team are with those who have lost loved ones in this terrible incident”.
“We are holding out hope that those injured will recover.” Mr Doherty added, “We will fully cooperate with the investigation and offer any assistance and support that we can.”

Prime Minister Trudeau was among those who offered their condolences. “The news from Carberry, Manitoba is incredibly tragic. I’m sending my deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones today, and I’m keeping the injured in my thoughts. I cannot imagine the pain those affected are feeling – but Canadians are here for you.”

The accident has devastated the close-knit community of Dauphin, where many of the victims lived. Mayor David Bosiak said, “Literally everyone in town knew someone that was on that bus.”

“There’s a collective feeling of shock … it’s just a tremendous tragedy for our little community.

“It’s a kick in the teeth, a punch in the gut.”

We are so very sorry for this tragic incident and the lives lost.

After this situation, my life split into ‘before’ and ‘after’

0

When it comes to money, different people have different perspectives. While some want to spend every single day like it’s their last and spend their money on luxuries and good stuff, others live frugally and believe they should be saving money for rainy days. Of course, not spending a lot isn’t a bad thing, but being a cheapskate indeed lowers the quality of life, and not only of the person who isn’t willing to spend anything but on their family too.

Cheapskate often find joy when they gets things for free, no matter how small of insignificant the item might be.

If you are lucky not to know what it feels like to be sharing a roof with a cheapskate, read the following stories shared by people on Reddit to see their crazy experiences.

1. How This Dad Scored a Free Bar of Soap with a Clever Trick

Source: Pexels

u/[deleted]: When my dad moved into his house, he had a guy come over to do a free demonstration for a water filter that goes under a sink. The guy used a bar of soap for his demonstration and left it when he was done.

My dad called at least four other companies for a free demonstration just to keep the free bar of soap and never intended to have a water filter installed. He does things like this, which worsens as he ages. But I just let him do his thing.

2. Dad’s Attachment with Paper Towels

Source: Unsplash

u/TheCommonStew: My dad hoards his paper towels. To this day, he still expects me to ask permission to use them (I’m 21) because he doesn’t want me to waste them. I remember thinking it was $100 bucks for a roll because he was so concerned about me wasting them.

He is a cheapskate and spends twice as much money on everything because he only gets the cheapest thing that breaks or doesn’t work as well. While my girlfriend and I were at his house, I dropped a gallon of milk everywhere. She grabbed paper towels and used the whole roll to soak up the mess.

I felt so sinful helping her, but the look on my dad’s face when he found out we used a whole roll, was priceless. I knew he wouldn’t yell at us because he was too polite to yell in front of my girlfriend. But, he was visibly holding back his pain, anger, and heartbreak over the “wasted” roll.

3.What a Unique Approach to Saving Every Coin

Source: Pexels

u/notronbro: Oh my God, dads are terrible. Mine hates paying for electricity, so he hangs his clothes up outside, which would be fine if he didn’t do it year-round, even when it’s below freezing.

Whenever my sisters or I cleaned our rooms, he would go through our trash, looking for “valuables” we had thrown away (money or recyclables). He’s obsessed with gas prices, and I once sat in the car with him as he drove around town for half an hour searching for the cheapest gas.

When he wants to drive down a hill, he literally puts his car in neutral, opens the door, and pushes himself down the hill with his foot. One time, we went to a Burger King, and I was only allowed chicken fries because a burger was “too expensive.”

4. Meet the Return Policy Maestro

Source: Pexels

u/halfadash6: My father took insane advantage of the Costco return policy. He returned an outdoor furniture set we’d had for about eight years. It was weather-worn, and a couple of pieces were broken. They took it, and he used the money to pay for most of a new patio set from Costco. Unbelievable.

5. Unveiling the Frugal Achievements of My Grandmother

u/Acetylene: When I was a little kid, I spent summers at my grandparents’ house, and one of my chores was setting the table before dinner every night. Whenever we had company for dinner, I was instructed to use “the good napkins.”

That meant the napkins that didn’t have restaurant logos printed on them. We only went to restaurants when my grandmother felt she could come out ahead on the deal, and there were many ways to accomplish this.

She clipped coupons, of course, but that was kids’ stuff. Whenever she did anything for someone, she’d get them to take her to dinner to “return the favor.” She had an enormous purse, which generally returned stuffed with napkins and food from the buffet.

She didn’t see much point in going to any restaurant that didn’t at least have a salad bar. One year, when my mother and I offered to take her to dinner for her birthday, we had to drive over an hour to get to a Sizzler she hadn’t been banned from.

6. Rolling in Savings

Source: Pexels

u/Askin_Real_Questions: My dad discovered where the giant industrial rolls you see in some shopping centers are sold and moved us over to that. It’s like one giant roll with about three or four normal rolls’ worth of toilet paper. I’ve never been so embarrassed having friends over.

7. My Grandmother’s Unbeatable Sears Lifetime Guarantee!

 Source: Pexels

u/stone_opera: When my grandparents got married, they did their gift registry with Sears; that was back in the day (Late 1940s) when they had a ‘lifetime guarantee’ on almost everything they sold.

My grandmother has moved house almost ten times since then, but she has kept every flattened box and warranty for every appliance she got when she was married.

I drove her to Sears about two years ago to replace her iron. She brought all the boxing and paperwork from back in the 1940s to get a new one. Surprisingly, they fulfilled the guarantee and gave her a new iron!

I think it’s hilarious, but she hasn’t had to pay for a new appliance in over 60 years because she’s so cheap! She’s a Ukrainian immigrant to Canada and always insists, “Lifetime guarantee means lifetime guarantee.”

I feel bad for Sears because our family is notoriously long-lived (her father lived until 104). I sometimes think that maybe this is why Sears is doing so poorly: a ton of cheap old women cashing in on their lifetime guarantees.

8. My Dad’s Budget Home Became a Renovation Adventure

Source: Pexels

u/InVultusSolis: My father is pathologically cheap. I have tons of stories, but I’ll share the biggest. My dad only looks at the dollar amount and nothing else. If he sees a six-pack of toilet paper for $5 and a twelve-pack for $7, he’ll buy the $5 pack every time, guaranteed.

So you can already imagine how any major purchase goes with him. When I was about eight, he decided to buy a house. One could buy something relatively decent in my area for $110k back then. We’re talking newer cabinets, floors, interior appointments like trim, newer doors, windows, etc.

He ended up buying a low-quality house for $89k. It had been built in 1947. The guy who built the place was just as cheap as my dad. All of the windows and doors were original. It still had its original asbestos siding.

On the inside, there was no trim. No interior doors except the bathroom door, which itself had no knob. No kitchen cabinets or counters.

The living room floor was bare plywood, and the ground floor bedroom had linoleum haphazardly unrolled onto it. So essentially, my dad “saved” 21k when buying the house but has had to put way more than that into it over the years.

9. Beating the Heat on a Budget

Source: Pexels

u/cerem86: I’m from Georgia, the land of humidity and heat. My dad wouldn’t turn the AC on until the temperature exceeded 100F. He bought these styrofoam pads that were metallic foil on one end.

We had to shove those into all the windows and exiting doorways when we had the AC on the “keep the heat out” and save on the AC. Also, our city has a natural spring. The water is drinkable and free.

So let me set this scene – There is a line in front of it. Kids wanting cold water on a hot day, moms with a pitcher to get some, maybe a guy with an empty milk jug, and my dad with THIRTY-TWO 5-gallon bottles filling them all up “in case the spring dries up tomorrow.”

10. Gift card

Shutterstock

u/deleted user: My grandpa was the stingiest man in the world. After he passed away, I inherited a $30 gift card. I was going to give it away, but for some reason, I decided to use it.

My life split into ‘before’ and ‘after’ that moment. The cashier’s face went pale when I handed her the card. Cashier: This can’t be, where did you get this??

Me: Uh… It was my grandpa’s. Cashier: ‘STOP EVERYONE! IN FRONT OF US we have the winner of our store’s decade-long hidden sweepstakes!’ The cashier excitedly explained that the gift card was a special promotional item with a million-dollar prize, unclaimed for years.

I stood there, stunned, as the store manager came over to confirm the unbelievable news. Suddenly, my grandpa’s ‘stingy’ gift transformed into a life-changing fortune, rewriting my future in an instant.

11. How We Ended Up Having Noodles with a Flavor Packet Collection

Source: Pexels

u/forgno: My dad eats ramen noodles but seasons it with other things, so he keeps the flavor packets in an overflowing Ziploc bag. I swear we have 100 of those things. It does come in handy when you run out of your favorite ramen flavor!

My dad saves every sauce packet we get from fast food places. There’s a bag of them in the fridge, and we use them occasionally.

12. My Dad’s Brick Legacy That Stands the Test of Time

Source: Unsplash

u/sp3ctr41: When we demolished our brick garage, my dad made us clean every one of those bricks and lined them up around our house for future use. They are still there eight years later. All $500, one-year time, and back-breaking effort were worth it.

Our cars are worth $2000. My dad buys identical cars and dismantles them for parts. When you think he’s done scrapping, he lifts the engines out of them and stacks them underneath the carport. They have 300,000 kilometers on them.

We sit on these around the dinner table. Our TVs are 20″ in size to save on power. Most of our furniture is stuff people throw out on the street. We use soap for shaving cream and shampoo.

Our Granny flat has cupboards and couches stacked on each other to the ceiling; you have to shimmy through everything; the weight is so heavy the ground has settled, and cracks have started to appear everywhere.

I tried reasoning that the space could be better utilized by renting it out, but apparently, it’s more important to keep faulty treadmills, lawnmowers, fridges, ovens, and washing machines for spare parts.

13. How We Reused Bathwater to Save on Water and Gas Bills

Source: Pexels

u/[deleted]: We shared bathwater. My brother would get in first, then me, and then mum or dad would be last. It’s pretty gross thinking about it now, but at the time, my parents did it to save money on the water and gas bills because they were on really low incomes.

14. Dog Bed vs. Baby Crib

 Source: Pexels

u/whatitdowhatitbee: My dad is cheap, but my mom isn’t, so it balanced out, but this story always makes me laugh. When I was born, my dad wanted to get me a dog bed instead of a crib or bed for a toddler or whatnot.

15. Here Comes the Cheap Christmas Wrapping Paper

Source: Pexels

u/Jade_GL: I used to think that Christmas wrapping paper was always printed funny, like a cheap 3D picture. All of the Santa faces were a half centimeter or more off their faces. I later realized that my mom always bought misprinted discounted wrapping paper.

The thing is, when I see really nice paper now, it doesn’t feel like Christmas to me. The cheap, misprinted paper is more Christmasy to me, even 30 years later.

Similarly, my parents and aunt would count the boxes they used to wrap gifts in before Christmas morning. So, if my aunt brought 16 gifts that required the shirt/clothes boxes you would get at Sears/JC Penney, she would start Christmas morning by saying, “I came here with 16 boxes and I am leaving with 16 boxes!”

The funny thing is, back then, you would get the boxes free with your purchase, unlike today, where you usually have to buy the boxes. So, my parents and aunt were hung up on boxes they got for free.

We still have boxes with ancient tape on them, and they’re starting to fall apart, but now my family is more likely to say that throwing them out is okay.

Back then, you box them up for next year and tape the major rips. We even had an old box from a store called Structure that lasted years and years longer than the actual store did.

u/InnanasPocket: My dad tried to give me the “perfect bed” for my newborn daughter so I “didn’t have to buy a crib.” It was the bed from my childhood doll, which had been sitting in their garage for 20+ years and would not have worked, even if that wasn’t a wildly unsafe idea.

u/deleted user: While my parents lived in luxury, I had nothing. They deceitfully stole my inheritance after my grandmother’s death. A 50 dollar Walmart gift card each year is all I get from them. I live so poorly that I don’t even have a phone.

They buy themselves several luxury cars each year and fly off for vacations in the Maldives. But one day everything changed. While my parents were on a cruise, I received a letter. It was written on it ‘Do not open when they are around.’

I looked around and immediately tore open the envelope and began to read. ‘Hey Mary, this is your real father. I’ve been looking for you for years. Your grandmother left you a substantial inheritance, which I’ve been fighting to recover for you. Meet me at the address enclosed; it’s time to claim what’s rightfully yours and turn your life around.

I let a homeless woman stay in my garage, but one day I walked in unexpectedly and was shocked by what I saw

0

A man in his sixties who has spent his life alone shared an incredible story of vulnerability, redemption, and the power of forgiveness.

Millionaire by inheritance, with all the luxuries life can offer, he still felt empty. When he was in his twenties, he lost both his parents who left him with a huge estate he had no one to share it with. Women came and go, but none of them was the right one.

One day, he spotted a homeless woman rummaging through his garbage. He felt sorry for her and decided to approach her. She was scared and hesitant to share her name with him, but she eventually opened up and introduced herself as Lexi. It turned out that Lexi was married in the past but her husband left her for his pregnant mistress. It was a huge blow that turned her life upside down. Over time, she was unable to find a job and ended up on the streets.

The man could see in her eyes that she was sincere. She looked like someone who really needed help, so he offered her a place to stay; his garage that was spacious and well-equipped.

Pexels

Lexi hesitated at first, but she eventually agreed to accept the helping hand and settle at the garage.

She seemed like a nice person who struggled to stand on her feet after everything she’s been through, and having a place to stay was the first step towards regaining her life over.

One day, the man was in a hurry to grab a pump from the garage. Knowing Lexi wasn’t there at the time, he entered the garage and was shocked by what he saw.

All over the place, there were paintings of him that were disturbing beyond words. Lexi, who used to be an artist, painted him with chains around his neck and blood coming out of his eyes. There were several paintings, and one of them, the most unsettling one, showed him inside a casket.

The man froze. He was shaken and questioned Lexi’s view of him.

Later that night, he confronted her. Lexi started crying, saying he was never supposed to see those paintings because it wasn’t how she saw him as a person. She was devastated about how her life turned out and felt angry that the man had all the money in the world, and she didn’t have anything. She believed life wasn’t fair, and she channeled that anger through her art work.

The man wasn’t willing to forgive her. He was aware she needed to let her devastation and her feelings out, but after everything he had done for her, she could have found another way.

He told her to pack the handful of belongings she had and leave the garage.

Feeling sorry about how things turned out, he offered her some money and took her to a shelter.

Over the next couple of weeks, the man felt even emptier than before. He got used to Lexi’s presence in his life and he had a hard time accepting she wasn’t there any longer. But despite those feelings, he couldn’t forgive her.

Months passed by and the man received a package one day. When he opened it, he saw a lovely painting of him. This time, he was portrayed as a happy person, with a charming smile on his face. It was painted by Lexi. She included her phone number and wrote that she would be glad to hear from him.

Midjourney

This new painting was a form of saying sorry. It was obvious she was able to let go of the bitterness.

After days of thinking, he finally decided to give her a call. When she picked up the phone and said hello, it was as though she was expecting his call.

The two agreed to meet for dinner and things felt right.

My neighbor egged my car because it was ‘blocking the view’ of his Halloween decorations

0

Marry, a sleep-deprived single mom of twins who struggled to have everything done for the day while taking care of her babies, noticed her car was egged. Thinking it was a prank the children from the neighborhood played on her, she was a bit angry because it meant spending money and time on cleaning it.

However, as she was looking at the car, she noticed some eggshells in the yard of her neighbor Brad. At that moment, she figured out it was him who “bombarded” her vehicle with eggs.

When she confronted him, Brad said he was the one who did it because the car was blocking the view from his Halloween decorations that he took pride in. Being the neighborhood enthusiast about the holiday, he always made sure his house was the most decorated one, spending a bunch of time and money on it.

When Marry explained that she parked the car close because she had to carry her twins, their strollers, and bags multiple times a day, Brad was indifferent and said he didn’t care.

Being too tired to argue, Marry decided to let it go and headed home. But then, she came up with the perfect “revenge.”

Midjourney

Knowing how obsessed Brad was with Halloween, she decided to suggest he take the decorations to a new level, offering some websites selling high-tech fog machines and ghost projectors. Brad was excited with the idea, not knowing that Marry led him to get one-star review products that were notorious for breaking down easily and tended to be faulty.

The next thing Marry did was wait for a Halloween disaster to take place.

Midjourney

When the night of the holiday finally arrived, Brad was over the moon. Everyone was enchanted with his decorations, especially the fog machine and the spooky ghost projections.

However, half-way through the night, the machine Brad purchased from the unreliable brands Marry suggested started malfunctioning. The fog machine started spraying water instead of mist and the ghost projector messed up with the images it showed. This made the kids laugh at Brad, who was totally disappointed in how the night he was looking forward to turned out.

On top of everything, his massive inflatable Frankenstein deflated and some of the children started throwing eggs at his house.

What was supposed to be a spectacle to remember turned into a total chaos.

The following morning, sad and defeated, Brad knocked on Marry’s door. He looked totally deflated, just like his Frankenstein decoration.

Midjourney

When Marry asked him what he wanted, he said he needed to apologize for throwing eggs on her car, admitting he overreacted.

Marry accepted his apology and mumbled that “things have a way of balancing out.”

She almost fell sorry for her neighbor, but she was glad he learned his lesson.

Boy decorates a lonely elderly woman’s house for Halloween to show her the joy of celebrating the holiday

0

The spirit of Halloween filled in the air and the decorations around the neighborhood reflected the joy everyone felt as the holiday approached. The neighbors put plenty of effort to evoke that spooky feeling, but one house, that of Mrs. Kimbly, was plain. No carved pumpkins, no decorations, nothing.

Kevin, an 11-year-old boy whose excitement grew with every passing minute, felt sad for his elderly neighbor. He hated seeing her house without any decorations. He knew she was old to be able to decorate the place herself, so he got the idea to help her. However, when he knocked on her door, she told him she hated Halloween and didn’t plan to celebrate it, asking from him not to disturb her again.

Midjourney

Kevin was sad. In the past, he did some chores for his neighbor. One time, he even mowed her lawn, and he had never seen her angry before.

Despite her words, Kevin felt like he shouldn’t let Mrs. Kimbly’s undecorated house clash with the festive spirit of the neighborhood.

As he was walking home, he thought about the lady’s words and couldn’t help but wonder how someone could not love Halloween. So, he decided to decorate her house even if she didn’t ask for it.

Midjourney

When he told his mom what had happened, she told him to leave Mrs. Kimbly alone, explaining that people have different reasons for not enjoying certain holidays. But Kevin was determined to make his plan work so he gathered plenty of decorations from the garage and even spent hours carving a pumpkin and headed to Mrs. Kimbly’s place. He was nearly done placing all those stunning decorations, which included a plastic skeleton he struggled to hang on one of the trees in her garden, when she opened the door and started yelling at him.

In her anger, she smashed the Jack O’Lantern Kevin worked hard to carve.

Midjourney

Ashamed, he apologized and ran back home. Tears started rolling down his face. Not because he was yelled at, but because he felt that Mrs. Kimbly would be alone on that special night when the entire neighborhood was very much alive and enjoyed the festivities.

As he couldn’t stop thinking about it, he put on the vampire costume he and his mom made, grabbed some candies, sat on Mrs. Kimbly’s porch and gave out sweets from his own bag to passing trick-or-treaters, explaining that Mrs. Kimbly wasn’t home.

After some time, he heard the door opening. Scared that he would anger his elderly neighbor even more, he grabbed the candy and tried to run away. But then, Mrs. Kimbly told him to return. Her voice was soft and she had a smile on her face. As she hugged Kevin, she explained that she was sad as the holiday approached because she didn’t have any children or grandchildren and seeing others celebrating together with their loved ones made her feel even more lonely.

Midjourney

But what Kevin did for her made her feel appreciated and loved. She said she was very sorry for smashing the pumpkin he carved for her and offered him some candy.

For the first time in years, Mrs. Kimbly felt the warmth of the holiday thanks to one determined boy and the kindness he offered to her.

10+ amazing hobbies that deserve a shout-out!

0

Most people have hobbies, and while some are rather ordinary, such as knitting or solving crosswords, others are unique. In general, the hobbies we practice offer an escape from the daily stress and bring enjoyment. They also provide a chance for personal growth by allowing us to show our creativity, and learn new skills and interests.

Below are the stories of people with quite interesting hobbies.

  • A woman shared that she and a guy she liked were on a date and he invited her over. She accepted the invite and went to his place. When she asked to use the bathroom, she noticed there were no towels there so she opened one of the cabinets. Inside, there was a bra. She was confused and asked him why he had it, to which he replied, “Please don’t mess it up, I need to deliver it to a customer tomorrow.” It turned out he was making custom bras. He then showed her his workspace and she felt a bit embarrassed. They didn’t date much longer, but it didn’t have to do anything with his little hobby.
  • The elderly neighbor, 78, who was living all by herself started having a young man over. It was all fine until the man living next door heard yelling coming from her house. He went to inspect and make sure she was fine. When she opened the door, he noticed her wearing a karate attire. Despite her age, she wanted to try something new and the man thought it was a great idea.
  • On a way home from work, a woman started crocheting at the bus. A man sitting next to her started inching closer, which made her feel uncomfortable. But then, she noticed him holding a knitting book in his hands. It turned out he was interested in her work. The two engaged in a conversation and stayed in touch.
  • This family is addicted to camping. So when the summer rolls around, they all pack their bags and tents and have a lovely time in the nature. The stories from every of those trips is wild; from tick bites, bear scares, a catamaran flipped over, to all their food getting soaked in water. But no matter these “unpleasant” experiences and saying “no more camping ever again,” they are off to the woods every year.
  • While many people enjoy gardening and planting flowers, an elderly lady sharing her hobby loves cultivating her beautiful mini gardens made entirely of moss, creating tranquil green landscapes that are pure enjoyment for the eyes.
  • Some time ago, a woman was asked to write a play for her friend. It was supposed to be a college assignment. However, the friends said she didn’t need it any longer so the woman decided to enter contest instead. She won it and that encouraged her to continue writing plays. Some of them are now performed in the local theater. This doesn’t bring much money, but it’s a nice hobby, don’t you agree?
  • “I create handmade soap flowers that can be used as decorations, so I want to make it my business, what do you think?” a woman shared on Reddit. Lovey, isn’t it?

Should Prince Harry divorce Meghan Markle?

0

Rumors are that Prince Harry misses his old life. Back in Britain, Harry was a much-loved figure. He had plenty of friends and was heavily involved in royal engagements, serving his country the best he could. At the same time, he was also involved in philanthropic work, something close to his heart, but things slowed down regarding his charitable activities after his marriage to Meghan Markle.

Royal experts, among which Tom Quinn, claim that Harry is looking for a permanent “home” in the UK.

“As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK. Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles,” Quinn told the Mirror.

“He misses his Old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don’t get on with Meghan. Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security.”

According to royal expert Jennie Bond, Meghan Markle is unsettled by the fact that Harry is dwelling on what might have been instead of focusing on the present.

“If Meghan is encouraging Harry to leave the past behind and move on, then I think it is a healthy move. They have made their decision, left the working royal family and left the UK,” Bond said.

Recently, Harry took an eight-day trip to London and New York all by himself, attending a charity benefit in California hosted by actor Kevin Costner and a dinner hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO), where he met with eminent figures such as Queen Mathilde of Belgium and actor Forest Whitaker.

Further, he made a stop at New York where he showed his support for some of the causes that he holds close to his heart; African Parks, The HALO Trust, and The Diana Award.

The Duke then visited his homeland and attended the WellChild’s annual awards ceremony in London.

Many experts saw this as a sign that he wants to find a purpose in his life and “assert himself” independently.

Will Harry’s wish to want more for himself lead to a separation with Meghan? Likely not, because he wouldn’t want his children to experience a messy divorce by his parents the way he had. But is that enough reason for him to stay in the marriage?

Princess Diana’s former Butler Paul Burrell said, “We all know” that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s marriage is going to end in divorce, but if Prince Harry left now “he’d lose his children,” calling Harry “brainwashed.”

“I’ve always been worried about Harry. Am I the only person in the United Kingdom that is thinking that Harry (has) finally woken up to the truth?” Mr Burrell told GB News host Dan Wootton back in 2023.

“Has he finally seen the truth of what his wife is doing? That he’s been brainwashed and that he’s been mesmerized by her beauty.”

He then added: “I personally know Harry and I think he’s always wanted to be a father. He always wanted children.”

Anwar Hussein/Getty Images

“I think he would want to stay in that driving seat [and not split with Meghan in order] to watch his children grow.”

“If he left his relationship now, he’d lose his children because she’d keep them in America and he wouldn’t see them. But I have no doubt that when this happens – because we all know that it will happen – he will return to the United Kingdom.”

A possible divorce from Meghan, that no one wants to see coming, would mean Harry rebuilding his relationship with his father and brother, as well as the rest of the royals.

At this point, it seems like Harry has lost many of the things he has loved and has fought for while being part of the royalty.
