Only God knows what our troops are going through when they are deployed in foreign countries and surrounded by hostile enemies. But it’s God who protects them and gives them strength to return home safely and be with their loved ones. Our soldiers and veterans are our pride and we can never thank them enough for keeping us safe and risking their own life for our freedom.

A video of a soldier named Stephen Stormberg getting baptized in the great river of Euphrates whose beauty and importance are numerous times mentioned in the Bible is one of the most touching things to ever witness.

There, in the heart of the Iraqi province Rawah Anbar, the soldier entered the cold water and surrendered his life in faith and obedience to God. The Chaplain explained that “it isn’t for salvation that we are baptized, but because of salvation” as the soldiers proceeded with the ceremony.

It was a cloudy day and the fog helped them stay hidden from the eyes of the enemies.

People say this video brought tears in their eyes. It’s very touching, indeed. You can take a look at it below. The excitement on the face of soldier Stephen truly says it all.
