Boxer Georgia O’Connor, 25, said doctors ‘gaslit’ her on cancer concerns for months before tragic death

British professional boxer Georgia O’Connor died of cancer aged 25. She was a decorated Team GB, winning the Commonwealth Youth gold in 2017.

O’Connor was a five times National and Commonwealth Champion, as well as a two-time World and European Medalist.

She went pro in 2021, going 3-0.

Her last fight as a professional took place in October 2022, outpointing Joyce Van Ee on an all-female card at London’s O2 Arena.

Boxer Georgia O’Connor shared her cancer diagnosis on January 31 and died just four months later, on May 22.

Days before her passing, she married her boyfriend, Adriano, whom she called her hero.

Posting a photo of her ring, O’Connor wrote, “The day I married the love of my life.”

In a social media post, O’Connor blasted the UK’s publicly funded healthcare system.

“For 17 weeks since the start of October, I’ve been in constant pain, going back and forth between Durham and Newcastle RVI A&E knowing deep down something was seriously wrong,” O’Connor wrote. “I said from the start I felt it was cancer. I KNEW the risks. I have colitis and PSC, two diseases that dramatically increase the chances of getting it. I KNOW how high my risk is and they do too. They always did.”

In the same post, she accused doctors of not taking her condition seriously and failing to diagnose her because they refused to run tests.

“Not one doctor did the scans or blood tests I begged for whilst crying on the floor in agony. Instead, they dismissed me. They gaslit me, told me it was nothing, made me feel like I was overreacting,” she wrote. “They refused to scan me. They refused to investigate. They REFUSED to listen.”

The young boxer shared that not only her cancer spread, but doctors also found potentially fatal blood clots in her lungs.

“And now? Now the cancer has spread. And if that wasn’t enough, throughout this whole time there’s been BLOOD CLOTS all over my lungs. That ALONE could have killed me instantly.”

She condemned the National Health Service of being a “broken system.”

“They could have done something before it got to this stage. But they didn’t. Because this is the state of the NHS – a broken system that fails young people like me over and over again.

“A system that makes people suffer, that sends them home in agony, that lets cancer spread whilst the thick, stupid, mindless ‘doctors’ shrug their shoulders.”

On their website, NHS states that ulcerative colitis — a chronic inflammatory bowel disease O’Connor suffered from — can significantly increase the risks of developing cancer.

O’Connor passing has been announced by her promotion company BOXXER.

“We are heartbroken by the passing of Georgia O’Connor,” BOXXER said in a statement on X. “A true warrior inside and outside the ring, the boxing community has lost a talented, courageous and determined young woman far too soon.”

Doctor who worked with Joe Biden says he had cancer ‘while president’

Joe Biden’s cancer diagnosis caused a stir among the public. While many shared their support, others — mainly MAGA supporters — accused him of keeping his diagnosis a secret due to the fact that prostate cancer usually takes time to spread and Biden’s has been aggressive and already spreading to his bones.

President Donald Trump and Vice-President JD Vance were among those who questioned Biden’s transparency regarding his health while serving as the head of the country.

Now, a top oncologist who used to work with Joe Biden says he has probably had the cancer for “a decade.”

Dr Ezekiel Emanuel, who took part in crafting the the Obama-era Affordable Care Act, shared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Biden likely had cancer while serving as a president.

Host Joe Scarborough asked the doctor, “I just want to stop you here. So, this is not speculation. If you have prostate cancer that has spread to the bone, then he most certainly–you are saying had it when he was president of the United States.”

Dr Emanuel replied, “Oh, yeah. He did not develop it in the last 100 to 200 days.

“He had it while he was president. [Biden] probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021. Yes, I don’t think there’s any disagreement about that.”

Although guidelines recommend against prostate cancer screening for men 70 and older, Dr Emanuel stated that both Presidents Obama and George W. Bush underwent prostate cancer tests, and that “it is a little surprising that the doctor didn’t take it” when Biden was at the White House.

He also added that it is very surprising doctors didn’t diagnose Biden earlier.

In light of the former president’s diagnosis, a 2022 video of Biden in Massachusetts resurfaced on social media, showing him speaking about the effects of pollution on health.

At one moment, he could be heard saying, “That’s why I—and so damn many other people I grew up with—have cancer.”

According to the White House, Biden’s off-script comment was about his past non-melanoma skin cancer that had been removed at the time of his speech.

Trump and many of his supporters accused Biden’s wife, Jill Biden, of being aware of her husband’s health condition and still encouraging him to run for a second term.

Man who consumed 7 liters of soda daily for a decade suffers severe health consequences

What started as a sugar craving became a dangerous addiction with health consequences for a man who consumed 7 liters of soda for an entire decade.

The case of the man, known as BA, has been featured in an episode of the YouTube channel Chubbyemu that spreads awareness by sharing medical incidents.

BA, 48, was sent to the ER “with sudden onset weakness.”

Until the age of 30, he was leading a rather healthy life but he then took a new job at a company where there was “free, unlimited soda for employees to drink.”

Over time, he got addicted to the sugary drink and the more he had it, the thirstier he got. What’s more, he would always wake up feeling extremely thirsty and instead of having water, he would drink more soda.

Eventually, he developed “short of breath,” stomach ache, and brain fog that ultimately led to “stuttering and slurring his words.”

One day, he was found unconscious at his desk at work and rushed to the hospital where they discovered his sugar levels were so high that he entered a diabetic coma.

At the time, he didn’t tell the doctors about his soda drinking habit because he thought it was irrelevant.

He was sent home with proper medications for his high blood sugar, his high blood pressure, and his cholesterol.

On the way home, he got himself a few cans of soda, unaware it was what made him sick in the first place.

Soon after, he collapsed again.

Doctors discovered his potassium levels were extremely high, his muscles were “spilling their contents out,” a condition known as “rhabdomyolysis,” and his kidneys were also “shutting down.”

Feeling unwell, he called his wife to bring him some soda to help him with his thirst and his massive headache. Looking at him drinking the soda, a student realized the consumption of the drink could be behind BA’s condition.

“In the kidneys, huge excess sugar from drinking one to two gallons of soda every day for 10 years can make it harder to absorb water because the water will want to stay with the sugar,” his doctor explained.

The caffeine in the soda interfered with blood flow and water balance, causing BA’s body to dehydrate and his kidneys to fail.

He was told to stop drinking the soft drink, and once he was able to break his habit, his potassium levels returned to normal, his renal function improved, and his muscle weakness disappeared.

Speaking of BA’s case and the health consequences of drinking too much soda, the doctor explained, “So take the study results with what you will. Type 2 diabetes and all its comorbidities like heart problems and nerve damage. Hypokalemia and all its consequences and kidney stones are what we’re thinking of when we’re speaking of excess chronic soda ingestion.”

For a huge number of Americans, holding a US passport felt like owning a golden ticket to any place around the globe. For decades, a number of countries have welcomed US citizens to live and work abroad with open arms, but that seems to be changing.

Due to politics and fears of foreigners taking local jobs, many countries are reconsidering their immigration policies. From introducing tougher visa requirements, to stricter implementation of existing laws, nations are sending message to Americans that their privileges are no longer guaranteed.

The reasons why more and more Americans are choosing to move permanently to foreign countries are varied. Among the rest, they are looking for places with more affordable healthcare, lower living costs, safer communities, and political stability.

Among the foreign countries that started implementing changes is a popular destination for travel and living for many Americans — Japan.

Japan launches JESTA for Visa-Exempt Visitors

This country has been known as a welcoming place for tourists from visa-exempt countries. However, Japan’s Justice Minister Keisuke Suzuki announced that “the country’s electronic travel authorization system, provisionally called “JESTA” (Japan Electronic System for Travel Authorization), will be implemented by fiscal year 2028.”

In order to receive approval to enter the country, visa-exempt visitors will need to submit key information online in advance, including the purpose of the travel and accommodation details.

Fewer and fewer US citizens are having their residency renewed, and many business owned by Americans are forced to shut down due to sanctions and government restrictions.

China: Persistent Risks

Things became even more difficult for US citizens and American businesses in China following the decision by Trump’s administration to impose high tariffs.

Jill Biden accused of ‘elder abuse’ amid growing concerns over Joe Biden’s diagnosis

After they posted message of support and expressed their sadness over Joe Biden’s aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis, Donald Trump, JD Vance, and a number of their allies and supporters, accused the former president and his wife, Jill Biden, of hiding his diagnosis.

Leo Terrell, who works in the Justice Department’s civil rights division, posted on the social media, “Elder Abuse! Criminal Charges??”

In another post he published, which included a photo of Biden’s wife, Jill Biden, taken at the Oval Office during her husband’s presidency, Terrell wrote, “She knew about President Biden’s health problems. But still wanted him to run for President. Evil.”

Terrell, a long-time contributor to Fox News and senior lawyer to the assistant attorney general, posted the message from his personal X account.

He then reshared the letters his followers had sent to him, in which they also accused Jill Biden over keeping Biden’s diagnosis a secret.

“Elder abuse is a form of domestic violence and Dr. Biden has a lot of explaining to do about her part in defrauding the American people and taxpayers,” the letter from one of Terrell’s supporters read. “I would never wish Joe Biden physical harm despite my personal political views; too bad his own family compromised his wellbeing.”

“His medical team should have caught this years ago! Shame on Jill & all who turned their heads & ignored this!” wrote another supporter reposted by Terrell.

“Imagine if you will, a woman so power hungry and evil that she would submit her husband, suffering w/ dementia to ridicule, jokes, and humiliation,” read another message.

“She is GREEDY,” another Terrell follower wrote. “She wanted the prestige. I’m sure someone paid her well, you know a slush fund. Someone knew he would be able to call the shots, hmmm 3rd term.”

“It’s always the cover-up! Americans do not like liars!” Terrell added.

More and more MAGA supporters believe that the Bidens hid the truth from them, claiming Biden knew about his cancer even while still in office.

Donald Trump Jr. was among those who pointed a finger at Jill Biden.

“What I want to know is how did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer or is this yet another coverup???” he posted on X after he previously wished Biden a speedy recovery.

The hidden flaw in cancer screenings that let Biden’s diagnosis slip through

Former President Joe Biden is not only facing a battle with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has since spread to his bones, but also accusations by the MAHA of keeping the diagnosis a secret until recently.

According to a statement issued by Biden’s office, the 82-year-old received the cancer diagnosis after experiencing urinary issues. The tests doctors ran showed the presence of a lump in his prostate.

Current President Donald Trump posted on the social media that he and First Lady Melania are saddened by Biden’s diagnosis. Vice-President JD Vance also shared the same sentiment.

However, their allies and supporters started sharing conspiracy theories that Biden in fact knew of his condition while still in office, claiming prostate cancer is the easiest cancer to diagnose and that it takes around 5-7 years before this form of cancer spreads to other organs.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Trump said, “I think it’s very sad, actually. I’m surprised that… the public wasn’t notified a long time ago because to get to stage nine [the stage of disease that Biden faces is] that’s a long time.”

He added that “somebody is not telling the facts. … It’s a big problem.”

Vance said he hoped Biden “makes the right recovery” and added, “We really do need to be honest about whether the former president was capable of doing the job.”

Donald Trump Jr. also made a comment about Biden’s diagnosis that many dubbed “savage.”

Biden didn’t speak of his diagnosis except for thanking everyone for their love and support in a social media post.

According to medical specialists, it is not unheard of for this form of cancer to be diagnosed at its late stage, just like in the case of Biden.

“We can’t rule out the possibility that it was an aggressive form that developed quickly,” Natacha Naoun, an oncologist with France’s Gustave-Roussy Institute said.

Annual PSA screening isn’t recommended for people aged 70 and above.

According to the US Preventive Services Task Force, the reason for this is that the risks of false positives may lead to tiring biopsies and treatments that outweigh the benefits.

“It could be they decided to stop checking PSA annually, and then he had urinary symptoms,” Russell Pachynski, an oncologist with Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, explained. He added that prostate cancer patients do not always experience telltale pains or signs.

A prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test, which measures the quantity of proteins produced by the prostate gland, is used to screen for prostate cancer.

Biden likely didn’t get tested after 75, but even if he did, cancer might have escaped detection.

“Aggressive prostate cancer can occur at low PSA levels,” Yale Cancer Centre chief of genitourinary oncology and medical oncologist Dr. Daniel Petrylak told the Daily Mail.

“Higher grade tumors tend to make less PSA per cancer cell than low grade tumors, so it is possible that this tumor may have been missed by PSA.”

Defrocked priest accused of abuse makes shocking Pope claim

Chicago-born Robert Prevost became the 267th person to become Pope. He is the first Augustinian pope and the second Roman Pontiff — after Pope Francis — from the Americas. 

He will be known as Pope Leo XIV.

Weeks into his reign, Pope Leo is facing accusations by a defrocked priest accused of s**ual abuse of children.

The former priest, James M. Ray, claimed that it was Pope Leo himself — who at that time served as the head of the Midwest province of the Catholic Church’s Augustinian order — signed an order that let him live at a Hyde Park monastery by a Catholic primary school. Ray added that Prevost was well aware of the claims made against him about abusing at least 13 children, the Mirror reported.

“He’s the one who gave me permission to stay there,” Ray revealed.

Despite the allegations, Ray moved less than a block from St. Thomas the Apostle Elementary School. The school was not informed of his presence near their facility. What’s more, there was also a daycare center just across the alley.

When they let Ray settle next to the school, archdiocesan officials wrongly stated there were “no schools in the immediate area.”

While a 2020 memo states that Prevost was informed of Ray’s history of abuse, he still approved his stay.

However, a lawyer for the Augustinians claimed that Prevost was only “accepting a guest” and wasn’t responsible of daily oversight of Ray. According to the lawyer, it was a responsibility of the now-deceased Rev. James Thompson.

After spending two years at the monastery, Ray was removed and in 2012 he was defrocked by the Catholic Church. Despite the accusations against him, he was never convicted and is not on any government s*x offender registry.

“I felt abandoned by the church, but never felt abandoned by God,” Ray said. “My faith is still strong. I live out my life each day the best I can. When this comes up, there’s a pain in my chest.”

In the face of the Church’s global abuse crisis, Pope Leo asks for transparency and healing.

“Silence is not the solution. We must be transparent and honest. We must accompany and assist the victims, because otherwise their wounds will never heal,” Prevost told Vatican News in 2023.

Just before Senator Romney started his speech, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell praised him for a “long and honorable career on the national political stage.”

“On the bingo cards of American politics, the ‘governor of Massachusetts, senator from Utah’ combination isn’t known to be hit very often,” McConnell said. “But Mitt Romney’s repeated success in public office is attested to the transcendent appeal of his character.

Addressing his colleagues, who he said will miss more than he’ll miss the Senate, Romney said, “During my life, I have rarely been truly alone — maybe taking tests at school or running cross-country or on my uncle’s tractor cultivating corn.

“My life’s work has been a group affair, and its center is my wife, Ann. She is my most trusted adviser, my indefatigable ally, the love of my life.”

His farewell address from the chamber floor reflected his accomplishments and his hopes for the future of the nation.

“God has blessed America because America is good. There are some today who would tear at our unity, who would replace love with hate, who deride our foundation of virtue, or who debase the values upon which the blessings of heaven depend,” he said. “A country’s character is a reflection not just of its elected officials, but also of its people.

“I leave Washington to return to be one among them and hope to be a voice of unity and virtue. For it is only if the American people merit his benevolence that God will continue to bless America. May he do so, is my prayer.”

Following his speech, senators from both sides came up to shake his hand or give him a hug.
