I don’t need to be told to weather a storm with a good man.”

Betty White’s assistant posts icon’s final message to fans, days before she passed away

Betty White was an icon in her own right. She gave the world a million reasons to smile and kept her positive outlook on life until the very end. She often said that laughter was what kept her going and advised her fans to laugh as much as they can.

With her iconic roles in shows such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Golden Girls, she impacted the world of film forever. Known as a pioneer of early television and with a career spanning seven decades, she will always be remembered as one of the greatest actresses that have ever existed.

“Nobody knew going in that The Mary Tyler Moore Show would be an all-time classic,” she said in her 1997 Television Academy interview. “In the fourth season, I got a call one week, would I do that week’s Mary Tyler Moore Show, from casting. They wanted a happy homemaker who was a sickening, icky Betty White type.”

For her role of Sue Ann Nivens, White received two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Continuing Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

“When they announced my name that night, and Ed Asner presented it to me, I was a mess,” White recalled.

“I was so excited, so happy. And so grateful. I started out as an actress in the business, but then I did game shows and talk shows. I became a ‘television personality.’ So everybody was so surprised. ‘Why Betty can act, isn’t that amazing?’ It really did turn my career completely around.”

She was married three times, with her last husband, Allen Ludden, being the biggest love of her life. She missed him dearly after his passing in 1981, and according to her long time friend and agent Jeff Witjas, White was never afraid of leaving this world because that meant she would reunite with Ludden again.

One thing White regretted was that she didn’t accept Ludden’s offer to marry him right away. At the time, she lived in California and he resided in New York, and for some reason, she had a hard time making a decision to leave her home and move to The Big Apple.

“I spent a whole year, wasted a whole year that Allen and I could have had together, saying, ‘No, I wouldn’t marry him. No, I won’t, No, I won’t leave California. No, I won’t move to New York,’” she recalled in an interview with Oprah. “I wasted a whole year we could have had together.”

White lived her life to the fullest. She was looking forward to her milestone birthday, but sadly, she died just two weeks before turning 100. Shortly before her passing, she was forced to do something she didn’t like. As it turned out, she loved residing in her ocean-side house in Carmel, California, just outside Monterey, which she and her late husband Allen Ludden built in 1978. However, she spent the last years of her life in her Los Angeles home where she had at-home care – and her Carmel house was too inaccessible.

“She never wanted to leave her home in Carmel but was forced to for at-home care,” a source told The Post. “Los Angeles was more accessible.”

“If she had it her way, Betty would’ve lived and died in that home [in Carmel]. It’s the home she shared with her husband. It’s where she felt more comfortable.”

White died of natural causes in her sleep, her agent confirmed. “The arrangements are being handled privately, and that was Betty’s wish,” Witjas told People. “As in life, she never wanted people to make a fuss over her.”

On what was supposed to be White’s 100th birthday, many of her colleagues posted tributes, honoring her. Among them was White’s assistant of many years, Kiersten. Through Betty White’s fan page, she posted a heartfelt tribute along with the last photo of her.

“Hello Everyone! It’s Kiersten. Betty’s Assistant. On this special day, I wanted to share this photo of Betty. It was taken on 12/20/21,” Kirsten wrote.

“I believe it’s one of the last photos of her. She was radiant and beautiful and as happy as ever. Thanks to all of you who are doing kind things today and every day to make the world a better place.”

The photo reveals that White was full of life until the end. She truly is a legend the world will never forget. Rest in peace, Betty White, you are dearly missed.

Betty was to celebrate her 100th birthday on January 17. The momentous milestone was to be celebrated with a once-in-a-lifetime movie event named Betty White: 100 Years Young – A Birthday Celebration.

The film was supposed to include details of Betty’s life and her career of many years, as well as new interviews and behind-the-scenes material.

“Who doesn’t love a party?!? This one is gonna be GREAT!” White said in a statement.

Mere days prior to her passing, Betty recorded a clip which was released following her passing. “I just want to thank you all for your love and support over the years. Thank you so much, and stick around,” White could be heard saying in the clip recorded on December 20.

Her team, including Kiersten, asked from fans to donate to animal shelters and rescues, two causes close to the late actress’ heart.

It was part of the Betty White Challenge, which went viral after her passing.

“She could never have imagined such an outpouring of love and would have been so grateful to everyone,” they wrote.

“She was using the occasion of her 100th birthday to celebrate YOU — her fans, she knew how lucky she was.

“She felt the love, and she never took it for granted. I think it’s appropriate to post today as a thank [you] from Betty and the animals.”

Betty White was one of a kind. She is truly missed.

Princess Charlotte’s painful ‘Granny Diana’ Mother’s Day words about Prince William

The life of the British royals have always been an intriguing one. There have been times throughout the years when all eyes were on them, such as when the affair between then-prince Charles and Camilla have been revealed, the tragic death of Princess Diana, and Megxit, to name a few.

The royal children are not exception when it comes to the public’s interest in one of the most influential families in the world.

Take princess Charlotte for example. She is the second child of the Prince and Princess of Wales and their only daughter. Her older brother, Prince George, is second in line to the throne, but she, although being the granddaughter of the current King will likely not be a working royal but she would need to work for a living, according to royal experts. This is due to Charles’ wish to slim down the monarchy.

“From what I hear, the Prince and Princess of Wales want Charlotte, aged seven, to grow up with the expectation that she will get a job and not be a full-time royal,” royal expert Richard Eden told the Mirror.

“This path for the young Princess would be in keeping with her grandfather, King Charles III’s, vision for a slimmed-down monarchy.”

Charlotte is truly a special young lady whose personality shines through more and more. Many agree that she resembles her late grandmother, Princess Diana, and it seems like this resemblance is not limited to looks only. On the contrary, it looks like Charlotte also shares her grandma’s caring and loving nature.

On the day of her grandfather’s coronation, Charlotte wore a crown for a very first time. Why, you may wonder. Well, that’s because of the royal rule which states that royals can’t wear a crown until they’re married – this applied to both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. Of course, there have been exceptions in the past. Princess Anne, for once, wore tiaras every now and then before marrying Mark Phillips.

Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images

“Expect Charlotte in a dainty coronet [small crown] – perhaps even the one the late Queen wore to her father’s coronation aged 10 – and the two brothers in frock coats and breeches,” historian Tessa Dunlop told the Mirror.

“Kate loves dressing up her children, so objections are unlikely. And the money shot everyone will want is a snap of the three siblings in their finery alongside the King and the Queen on Buckingham Palace balcony after the service.”

Twitter/KensingtonRoyal

Just to show how special and how caring Charlotte is, Prince William and Princess Kate shared some of their children’s cards made for Mother’s Day from the previous years. The children, however, not only wrote cards for their mom but also for their late grandmother, Princess Diana.

“Dear Granny Diana, I am thinking of you on mother’s day,” Charlotte wrote in her card. “I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love, Charlotte”.

Twitter/KensingtonRoyal

Meanwhile, George wrote: “Dear granny Diana, Happy happy Mother’s Day. I love you very much and think of you always, sending lots of love from George.”

Louis, who was just two at the time drew some animals which he stuck on the cards.

In the past, William opened up about his mother and revealed how he speaks genuinely of her in front of his children. “We’ve got more photos up around the house now of her, and we talk about her a bit and stuff. It’s hard because obviously, [Kate] didn’t know her, so she cannot really provide that level of detail,” he said in a 2017 BBC documentary.

“So, I do regularly, putting George or Charlotte to bed, talk about her and just try and remind them that there are two grandmothers, there were two grandmothers in their lives, and so it’s important that they know who she was and that she existed,” William added.

We are so glad the young royals get to hear of how special and how loved their late grandmother was.

Clint Eastwood’s ‘true love’ dies at the age of 93 following a ‘brief illness’

Over the course of his career, actor Clint Eastwood won a number of awards, including four Academy Awards (out of 11 nominations), and four Golden Globes (out of 13 nominations). Some of his most legendary roles are those in Dirty HarryAmerican Sniper, and Million Dollar Baby. However, besides being one of the greatest names in Hollywood, Eastwood is equally known for his weakness for pretty women. The fact that he shares eight children with six different women is enough proof of that.

Recently, it has been revealed that the mother of his daughter Kimber, 59, passed away and that the actor is mourning the loss of one of the greatest loves of his life.

Eastwood and actress Roxanne Tunis, who sadly passed away in June at the age of 93, shared a love story which lasted many years. In fact, Eastwood’s relationship with Tunis overlapped his first marriage. Allegedly, Tunis had been his mistress for over 14 years and their bond remained strong throughout their entire lives.

The news of Tunis’s passing was shared by her daughter. “My mom passed after a brief illness,” Kimber told Radar Online on August 7. She added that her famed father extended his condolences to her and his grandson and added that “He is just as sad as I am.”

Eastwood and Tunis first met in 1959 on the set of the TV show Rawhide but only started dating in 1964, while the actor was still married to his first wife Maggie Johnson with whom he shared children Kyle and Allison. The marriage to Johnson ended in 1984 after 34 years.

During their romance, Tunis laded a role in Eastwood’s 1978 action comedy Every Which Way But Loose.

Their relationship was kept a secret until the birth of Tunis’ daughter when Clint’s full name, Clinton Eastwood Jr., was revealed on the birth certificate.

According to RadarOnline, “Roxanne worshiped the ground [Clint] walked on” and was not into his fame or wealth.

Tunis started pursuing a dancing and an acting career when she was in her twenties. Further, she was interested in meditation, veganism, and leading a healthy lifestyle.

According to Kimber, her mother had diverse interests, including painting, drawing, and traveling.

When it came to her career in the world of film, Tunis appeared in films like 1963’s Take Her, She’s Mine, 1986’s Blue City, 1973’s Breezy (directed by Eastwood), and 1968’s Hang ‘Em High, which also featured Eastwood.

May she rest in peace.

Sam Elliott’s real life love story is straight out of a Hollywood movie

Besides for his movies and the iconic roles he has landed, the fearless cowboy, Sam Elliott, is also known for his long-lasting marriage, which is something that we rarely see in Hollywood.

Elliott and actress Katharine Ross have been married for nearly four decades and their love is one of the strongest there is.

The actor turned 79 on August 9, and on the occasion of his birthday, let’s take a look at his and his wife’s fairy-tale love story.

At the start of his acting career, Elliott only landed minor roles, often as an extra, such as in the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

It was during the filming of this movie that he and future wife Katharine Ross first met. At the time, however, he felt like he had no chance with her. “I didn’t dare try to talk to her then. She was the leading lady. I was a shadow on the wall, a glorified extra in a bar scene,” he told AARP in 2015.

The couple met again on the set of The Legacy in 1987 and fell for one another. At the time, Ross was still married to her fourth husband, but divorced him and married Elliott in 1984. They welcomed a daughter that same year.

In 1985, while the couple was on their honeymoon in Hawaii, Elliott’s agent called him for he role in Mask. Ross called the agent back and told him she would make sure she has her husband back for the audition, according to The New York Times.

Tying the knot for the fifth time, Ross was unsure if this marriage would be a successful one, but today, after 39 long years, she can proudly say that she made the right decision when she told Elliott ‘I do.’

Speaking of the secret to a long-lasting marriage, the Molly and Lawless John star says, “Common sensibility, but we also work at being together. You work past the s–t; you don’t walk away from it. That’s how relationships last,” as per AARP Magazine.

“Through mutual love and a mutual respect,” Elliott says, adding that Ross is “a pretty stable girl who has been around the block.”

At the end of the day, determination is key: “There are peaks and valleys like everything else, but you have to push on.”

The couple divide their time between their homes in California and Oregon, and Elliott says he would like to move them out to  “La La Land” in the future.

What these two lovebirds always dreamed of was sharing the screen together, as a husband and wife, which they eventually did twice, in the films The Hero and Love Letters.

Happy Birthday, Sam Elliott, and many more to come.

Here’s how Jesus really looked like – FINALLY revealed after 2,000 years

The Catholic church portrays Jesus Christ as a white European-looking man with piercing blue eyes.

Historians, however, believe that what Jesus really looked like is far from what Renaissance artists believed he did. On the contrary, they are convinces that the son of God resembled a typical man born in modern-day Palestine at that time; shorter in height, stockier build, and with curly black hair.

Bas Uterwijk, a Dutch photographer and digital artist, tried to put an end to the two thousand years old discussion about Jesus’s appearance by trying to create an image of him, as much accurate as possible given the parameters of his place of birth, using the most advance technology. In order to create the portrait of Jesus, Bas used Artbreeder’s machine learning features.

Of course, the image he has come up with is way different than what we all believe the Messiah looked like.

“I have a background in Computer Generated images and Special Effects.

“The artificial intelligence software utilises a neural network trained on photographs and paintings of thousands human faces.

“This application makes it possible to combine multiple sources of faces and merge them in a synthesised version, guided by the artistic decisions of the user. I use it to create historical and fictional characters.

“I used several cultural depictions of Jesus of Nazareth of Byzantine and Renaissance origin including Leonardo da Vinci’s “Salvator Mundi”, and the Turin Shroud, tweaking the ethnicity to a more convincing Middle-Eastern face.”

He added: “I was happy with the result as a representation of a collective cultural depiction but at the same time I felt it lacked any historical accuracy.

“So I changed the hair and beard to a more credible length and style for the time and region and I brought in elements found in some Fayum mummy portraits, pushing the renaissance art to the background.

“The result is an artistic impression of how this man could have looked, more than it is a scientific search for an exact likeness.”

What the Bible teaches us about our savior is that he was born in a Jewish family in Bethlehem in 4 BC, raised there, and then finally settled in Nazareth in what is now Israel.

Joan Taylor, author of What Did Jesus Look Like, writes that the son of God was around 5 feet 5 inches tall. Further, she states that the people of Judea and Egypt were of olive skin, dark black hair, and brown eyes, information also found in ancient writings.

“Everyone can imagine what Jesus looked like. We have the image of Jesus everywhere. It’s a global image. It’s a phenomenon. So we think we can recognize him. We don’t even have to work at it. But the traditional images in paintings, in fact, date to the 4th or 5th Century – the long hair, the robe, the beard,” Taylor wrote.

“In reality, that’s not what he looked like at all. Jesus was not a pale person. He was not a European. He was a Jewish man of his time. He was very much of his time and place.”

The author, who is also an expert in Christian origins, added: “He would have had dark skin and probably had shortish black hair – long hair was very unusual in the 1st Century – a beard and wore sandals. He was a wanderer. He was on the streets. He accepted charity from strangers. He was with the poor.

“The 2nd Century philosopher Celsus said Jesus was shabby, a vagabond who was unkempt – he looked like a beggar. That tallies with everything else we know about Jesus. He even described himself as homeless. As he said: ‘Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.’”

Jesus likely resembled a typical Jewish man of the first century, who would likely have contact with Europeans and Africans.

Forensic facial reconstruction specialist Richard Neave tried to imitate the appearance of a Judean man similar to Jesus from the first century who was represented as stocky man with dark hair, clipped beard, and olive skin.

Time span in which woman drinks 2 litters of water turns fatal

The news about a mom-of-two losing her life after drinking two litters of water shook the world.

35-year-old Ashley Summers from Indiana was on a vacation with her family over the Fourth of July weekend when she started feeling unwell amid the scorching heat. Believing she was dehydrated, she drank 2 litters of water in a time span of 20 minutes, after she lost consciousness and was transferred to a hospital where she died after medics failed to resuscitate her.

Ashley’s older brother, Devon Miller, shared the tragic ordeal. “Someone said she drank four bottles of water in that 20 minutes. I mean, an average water bottle is like 16 ounces, so that was 64 ounces (approximately 2 litres) that she drank in the span of 20 minutes. That’s half a gallon,” he said, as per People

The urge to have a huge amount of water after failing to keep herself hydrated throughout the day was fatal for this mother.

Her cause of death was listed as water toxicity, something that is extremely rare but occurs when a large amount of water is consumed in a short period of time, just like in Ashley’s case.

Dr Blake Froberg spoke to WRTV and explained that this occurrence is most common in summer and with people who exercise a lot or people who work outside under extremely hot weather conditions, thus they need to stick to a proper hydration plan. “The overall thing that happens is that you have too much water and not enough sodium in your body,” he explained.

Reports are that late Ashley was an organ donor and she donated her heart, her liver, her lungs, and long bone tissue.

We are so very sorry for this mom’s tragic passing. May she rest in peace.

Sandra Bullock’s heartbreaking final hours with late partner revealed

Actress Sandra Bullock has lost her partner of many years, Bryan Randall, after a 3-year battle with ASL.

The tragic news of his sudden passing was shared by his family who issued a statement which read, “With deep sadness, we announce that Bryan Randall peacefully departed on August 5th, concluding a valiant 3-year battle against ALS.

“Bryan made the deliberate choice to keep his fight with ALS private, and those of us who cared for him diligently respected his wish.”

She and Randall co-parented her two adopted children. “He sets the example I wish my children to follow,” the actress revealed.

A source told Closer of Randall, “He is completely dedicated to Sandra and the children, and she is aware of this. The kids have called Bryan ‘Daddy’ for as long as I can remember, and it still makes him smile.”

Revealing further details of her private life, Bullock said how she and Randall down’t rush to get married as their children were their priority. “I don’t need a paper to be a devoted partner, devoted mother,” she said. “I don’t need to be told to be ever-present in the hardest of times.
