Husband watches as wife’s pulled from life support but then she turns and says “get me out of here”

Making a decision of whether someone you love to the core should be taken off life support when the prognosis are dull must be the toughest decision one could ever make.

Ryan Finley is a man who was forced to make such a decision after his wife Jill ended up in coma.

It was Ryan who found her unresponsive and not breathing. He rushed towards her and did all in his power to help her regain her consciousness until paramedics arrived. He even performed CPR and prayed for a positive outcome although he knew the chances were slim.

Paramedics managed to get Jill back to life, but her heart was weak and her breathing was slow. She was rushed to the Oklahoma Heart Hospital and placed in a suit that lowered her temperature to minimize the damage to her oxygen-starved brain. Unfortunately, she sunk into coma.

Ryan prayed every day. He never lost hope, but days turned into weeks and he was told that Jill’s chances were equal to none. He was then asked to consider doctors switch her off life support.

He wrote about that day in his diary and his words are heart-breaking, to say the least.

“Today could be the worst day of my life. I essentially have to decide whether or not she will die or not,” Ryan wrote, according to TODAY. He tried to put himself in Jill’s place and believed she wouldn’t want to live her life like that so he made the call.

The entire family said their goodbyes, and the moment the machine was turned off, Jill was still there. Doctors explained that she wouldn’t die right away as she was going through the “last rally.”

At that moment, Jill started mumbling. To the disbelief of her husband, who was experiencing immense heartbreak, she told him to get her out of there and take her to Melting Pot or Ted’s – two of her favorite Mexican restaurants.

Ryan knew his loved one would make it, no matter how crazy that sounded. And he was right. Jill breathed on her own and went through a heart surgery and rehabilitation.

Speaking of the time she spent in coma, Jill explained that she didn’t remember anything but had issues with her short-term memory and pronouncing certain words. Otherwise, she felt fine and was ready to grab this second chance God has given to her.

The couple are thankful they are still together and are going stronger than ever before. “We cherish each day, each minute, each hour now,” Jill told TODAY. “Not that we didn’t before, it just puts it more in perspective.”

Wherever she goes, Kate Middleton radiates positivity. Her style is impeccable and her personality is truly one-of-a-kind. The Duchess of Cambridge is definitely a much loved royal.

On the London premiere of No Time to Die back in 2021, she took the breath away of everyone who saw her wearing the dazzling Jenny Packham gown with a floor-length cape. She accessorized her stunning outfit with earrings from London-based company O’Nitaa and had her hair pulled back into an attractive bun. Her makeup was simple.

Her entrance was unforgettable as she graced the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall in the company of her husband, Prince William. Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were also in attendance.

As all eyes were on Kate Middleton, many couldn’t help but notice that she continued the tradition of paying homage to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. It is through her outfits that Kate occasionally channels the late Princess by recreating some of Diana’s looks on the red carpet, as well as business meetings and other occasions.

Diana wore similar outfit for a Bond premiere, the 1985 flick, A View to a Kill, as the one Kate was dressed in.

The Princess of Wales wore a shimmering silver pleated gown that sparkled as she walked. The long-sleeved gown also had exaggerated shoulders and a pleating pattern similar to the beading pattern on Middleton’s gown.

Prince William wore a classic ensemble consisting of a black suit, a white shirt, a bow tie, and black shoes.

This, as well, wasn’t the first time for the Duchess of Cambridge to be dressed in Jenny Peckham’s creation. It’s not a secret that she is a long-time fan of the British designer. She has been spotted in the brand’s cocktail dresses in the past.

Man loses his home then builds secret condo in mall and lives there 4 years unnoticed

Desperate times call for desperate measures they say, and a man who lost his home and fought and protested for years to have it back but failed is a proof of that.

Michael Townsend resided in a warehouse loft region of Providence Rhode Island and his incredible story of how he lived in a mall for years without being unnoticed made headlines back in 2007. Many were stunned to learn how he and a couple of his friends pulled something like that off.

Namely, Michael was left without his home when the district he lived at was bought and torn down. At that same period, around twenty-something years ago, mall development was becoming massive.

Providence Rhode Island was getting one of those enormous malls.

As Michael passed by the construction site each day, he spotted a section which seemed like a fail in the design plan. He wondered what that area would be used for. As it turned out, that section became neither room nor store.

That’s when this clever man came up with an idea to try and spend a week there without being noticed. He wasn’t alone, however, but shared his thinking with a couple of friends who found it challenging. The group of seven people, which called themselves ‘Trummerkind,’ a German term for “Children of the ruins,” started working on their plan.

Watching the mall being built, they were very familiar with every corner of it, thus knew of a void that could help them enter the section they tend to spend time at.

The section had no plumbing or electricity, but it was a challenge the group was willing to try and answer to. After giving it some thought, they decided to wire in from other hidden areas of the mall. They brought blankets, a TV, and even a couch, and decided to try and live there permanently.

The group set about building a wall to hide their secretive condo and installed a plain white utility door to help them hide their “place” from the rest of the world. As they didn’t have running water, Michael and his friends used the movie theatre bathroom late at night.

Having had a huge number of visitors, the mall was always crowded and that let the group go in and out of their secret condo unnoticed. Some times, they stayed in the mall up to 3 or 4 weeks at a time.

The friends never told anyone about their secret condo, but then, one day in 2007, someone kicked in the utility door and stole their playstation and their art. The rest of the stuff, such as the TV and the couch were left untouched.

Since they couldn’t alert the police of their stolen belongings, because they would end up being arrested for trespassing, the Trummerkind decided to leave the place.

Believe it or not, they spent 4 years there before they decided it was enough.

Our hearts break for the Stallone family as new reports reveal their 25 years of marriage is coming to an end

The Stallones are calling it quits after 25 years of marriage.

According to news reports, Sylvester Stallone’s wife, Jennifer Flavin, filed for divorce on Friday at a court in Palm Beach County, Florida, on August 19.

This comes mere days after the Rambo star was reported to have covered up the tattoo on his biceps, portraying his wife with flowers, greenery, and a tiger above her head with a new tattoo of a bullmastiff, Butkus, the dog from the Rocky films. A representative of the actor addressed the cover-up in a statement shared with The Daily Mail which read, “Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer; however, the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable. Mr. Stallone loves his family. The Stallones are presently filming a reality show together which will debut on Paramount+.”

The actor’s comment regarding his impending divorce that was also shared through his representative. “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”

According to reports, Flavin requested exclusive domain over their house in Palm Beach until the couple’s divorce is finalized. Further, it has been reported that the former model accused her husband of hiding marital assets.

Even before the news of their divorce spread like a wildfire, Flavin fueled concerns that there could be trouble in Paradise after she posted a photo of herself and the couple’s three daughters, Sophia, 25, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20, with the caption, “These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever.”

All three commented on their mom’s post. Scarlet posted a heart emoji, while Sophia wrote, “You are our rock, cheerleader, and most incredible mom. We are so lucky to have you. Love you so much.”

“Strongest woman I know,” Sistine added.

Back in May, Stallone and Flavia celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and both of them honored each other with social media posts.

“Happy 25th anniversary to my amazing wife. There [are] not enough words to describe what this incredibly selfless dedicated, patient woman has meant to our lives and I only wish they could be another 25! Thank you, sweetheart!” Stallone posted.

Flavin on the other hand wrote, “Our marriage keeps getting better every year! I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together!” Her post has since been deleted.

She was one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood, but she changed her appearance with cosmetic surgeries

Shortly after appearing on the big screen, actress Tara Reid was dubbed the girl-next-door everyone fell for. Sweet, charming, and young, she conquered Hollywood in a blink of an eye. It’s safe to say that the late ’90s and early ’00s were her years.

Her role of Vicky in the cult comedy American Pie brought her immense popularity and turned her into an A-list actress. Unfortunately, some bad decisions later, she got down on the list.

One would say she made some poor choices when it came to the roles she accepted, and that’s not far from the truth.

As everyone witnessed Reid propelling into the spotlight, we have all seen her vanishing out of it with pretty much the same speed.

Tara changed her persona. From a girl-next-door, she turned into a party queen and magazines started writing that she was a heavy drinker. Her heavy lifestyle led to her show on E!, Taradise, which was far from successful. Wanting to rebuild her reputation, the reality show only made things worse for Tara who struggled to land roles that fit her.

At the same time, she had undergone a procedure to enhance her looks which went terribly wrong and left her feel unattractive.

“I underwent liposuction even though I was slim because I wanted a square abdomen. Everything broke wrong here, despite the fact that I had a lovely body form. My stomach creased and sagged,” the actress revealed.

“I can’t say I’ll never undergo cosmetic surgery again; I’ll have to wait and see whether my opinion changes as I get older. For the time being, I’m content with my physical appearance. I went through a lot of physical and mental pain following liposuction,” Tara added.

The magazines were cruel to her and printed every photo which showed her flaws.

After her success in American Pie dwindled, she was nominated for several Razzle awards.

The Razzies, or Golden Raspberry Awards, are parody awards handed out to actors and films for their failures and shortcomings. Tara received one for her role in My Boss’s Daughter.

Today, however, it looks like she’s doing all in her power to rebuild her career and is currently working on a number of projects. According to her, American Pie 5 is in the works and she’s looking forward to reunite with the crew. “We have to get all the actors and at the same time to get our schedules together…” she said. “We all stay in touch in different ways… When you grow up with someone and you get your first breaks with someone, you can never forget that.”

As per IMBD, the script is still in development, so it’s hard to say when the movie will actually be released. 

Among the rest, she has also been working behind the scenes as a producer in the upcoming film Masha’s Mushroom, a thriller that stars Reid, Vivica A. Fox, Billy Zane, and Beverly D’Angelo.

We can’t wait to see where her many projects take her.

Man buys an old broken down log cabin for $100 and does an incredible renovation

Every person out there dreams of having a place to call their own. However, while some enjoy living in big houses and even mansions, others opt for simplicity and don’t tend to follow trends.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter if one lives in the village or the big city, or they own a huge place or a small one, what matters is to feel the cosiness, comfort, and warmth only a home brings.

A man named Richard Aiken, 65, is a man of many talents. He dubs himself a ‘hillbilly’ but the truth is that he is far from one. In fact, Richard has two PhDs, he’s a writer with a number of published books under his belt, a mathematician, an opera singer, and a very skilful carpenter. When he combined all his talents, this man created something out of the ordinary, a tiny home which resembles those depicted in a fairy-tale.

It all started when a friend of Richard’s told him that he had an old cabin in the middle of nowhere that he was trying to get rid of. Was this a sign? Well, it probably was as Richard dreamed of owning a cabin for a longer period of time. He was longing for spending time in peaceful and relaxing nature because that brought solace to his soul.

Richard said he was willing to buy it. His friend offered it for free, but Richard insisted to pay for it and gave his friend $100.

The cabin was old, dirty, and dilapidated. The roof was in a very bad condition too, and it wasn’t a safe place to live in.

Richard’s wife and children advised him to knock it down and built a new one, but Richard didn’t like the idea. Instead, he found the process of renovation pretty challenging and decided to go for it. He knew that he possessed the skills to make this happen, and he was right.

With a lot of hard work, Richard transformed the old cabin into a magical place. It did take a lot of time for his project to be finished, but the final result was definitely worth it.

With her blond hair and blue eyes, she was making waves in Hollywood

Kathleen Turner rose to prominence during the early ’80s and became a sex symbol adored by many. However, her appearance changed drastically over the years and she no longer resemble her older self.

During her successful career, Turner starred alongside the likes of Steve Martin, Michael Douglas and Jack Nicholson, but today, many can’t help but wonder what happened to the Romancing the Stone star.

Landing major roles was her thing. She received nominations and a number of awards for her acting, but then, as years went on, her popularity decreased and her career was affected.

It was around 1994 when Turner opened up about the reasons which led to her acting career to slow down and explained that she battled an autoimmune disease which caused her a lot of pain and fevers. In the early ’90s, Turner was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. The prognosis were dull and doctors told her she would eventually end up in a wheelchair. As she had already experienced all of the symptoms and had a hard time walking and turning her head because of the swelling in her wrists, many claimed that she became a heavy drinker.

In 2009, Turner wrote a piece for the Daily Mail, in first person.

“Suddenly, all that stuff about having good looks and being sexy took secondary position to just being able to walk without pain,” the actress who provide the voice of Jessica Rabbit in the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, wrote.

“I was eventually prescribed steroids, which helped a little, but they made me look so puffy and bloated that rumours began to circulate that I was an alcoholic or a drug addict. I thought it might be safer to let people believe whatever they wanted.”

The devastating diagnosis and all the medications she was forced to take took their toll and affected her physical appearance.

In her memoir, the actress wrote, “The press were merciless. They snipped that I became fat and unrecognizable because I was an angry, washed-up diva, an out-of-control has been when in truth the changes in my physical appearance were caused by drugs and chemotherapy and were not within my control. Still, I did not reveal what was happening to me.”

Today, Turner’s rheumatoid arthritis is in reemission and she says she has gymnastics and Pilates to thank for that.

Turner was married to real estate entrepreneur Jay Weiss, with whom she has a daughter. The couple divorced in 2007 after 23 years of marriage.

These days, although her career is not as active as back in the day, Turner does appear in movies and in the theatre.

We are glad she managed to keep her illness under control.

The method of storing potatoes that is dangerous to the human body

An eight-year-old Russian girl named Maria Chelysheva was left orphaned after she lost both her parents, her brother, and her grandmother in a tragic incident which took place in their family home.

All four members of the family were killed one by one by deadly gas caused from rotten potatoes.

The first person to enter the cellar where the potatoes were stored was Maria’s father, 42-year-old Mikhail Chelyshev, respected law professor. As he failed to return for quite some time, his wife Anastasia, 38, followed him in order to check out on him. Sadly, she didn’t return back either. This caused suspicion at their son, 18-year-old Georgy, who went into search of his parents but suffered the same tragic death after inhaling the highly toxic fumes released by the rotten potatoes.

Maria’s grandma, 68-year-old Iraida, called a neighbor and asked for help as she knew something was very wrong. After that, she went to the cellar herself and was killed as well.

However, as she entered the cellar, she left the door open and that helped the fumes to dispense. Luckily, when little Maria decided to follow after her family, the gasses weren’t strong enough to harm her.

The shocking tragedy took place at Laishevo, a town near Kazan, in the Russian republic of Tatarstan on the Volga River. 

Local investigator spoke to the media and said, “They all died of gas poisoning which has accumulated in the basement as a result of badly rotting potatoes.”

The potatoes stored at the cellar turned into a chemical bomb that caused the death of four people.

Potatoes contain solanine, a glycoalkaloid, which has a strong toxic action, even in small quantities. This toxin affects the nervous system, causing weakness and confusion.

These compounds are generally concentrated in its leaves, stems, sprouts, and fruits and are partially destroyed with cooking. According to the U.S. National Toxicology Program, the average American consumes at most 12.5 mg/day of solanine from potatoes, a dose several times smaller than the toxic dose.
