Scott Valentine, former ‘Family Ties’ actor, expresses regret about his character in the series

When it first aired back in 1982, the story of two radical parents who found themselves raising their four children in Reagan-American era became a huge hit almost overnight. Until this very day, the series Family Ties is considered an American classic.

Living as hippies during their youth, Steven and Elyse Keaton now have children who turned out just the opposite. Their eldest child, Alex, is into politics and a Reagan devotee, daughter Mallory is crazy about fashion, and Jennifer is into studying.

The series helped launch the careers of actors Michael J. Fox and Justine Batemen, among the rest, turning them into superstars.

One of the actors, however, revealed he wasn’t fond of the character he played in the series. Scott Valentine, who played Nick, the boyfriend of Bateman’s character Mallory, had his big breakthrough with Family Ties, but he ‘felt bad’ landing the role. The series gathered the attention of a huge number of fans, but as it turns out, Valentine himself wasn’t one of them.

Nick was portrayed as an off-beat young man with a huge heart but not the smartest.

Although it was initially planned for Nick to appear in a single episode, he stole the hearts of the fans and ended up being part of 45 episodes instead, playing ”the date that wouldn’t” leave.

The actor’s success as Nick Moore led to a spin-off series, The Art of Being Nick, which aired on NBC as a special on August 27, 1987. Sadly, the series never took off.

Despite the fame he reached with the show, Valentine confessed he hated the fact that Nick was portrayed as dumb.

”It was a big plus in terms of getting exposure. But very detrimental in people thinking that I was the monosyllabic idiot that I portrayed,” he told Santa Maria Times in 1992.

“It was a lot of fun, but literally there were times where I only had to utter two guttural utterances in a show and they paid me a bundle of cash for it,” he explained. “I felt bad at times.”

Today, Valentine doesn’t work as an actor but manages a hedge fund near his hometown of Saratoga Springs. Although the character he portrayed has been considered fan-favorite, the actor doesn’t look back on Nick with quite as much fondness.

Prince William had surgery after golfing accident, and it left him scarred for life

Being born into royalty is a privilege. The members of these families live lavishly and enjoy all the luxuries there are, from being filthy rich, to having servants and enjoying huge popularity.

The British royals are one of the most famous families in the entire world. Their lives have been the subject of countless of magazine articles, especially in recent years when the wide pubic is closely following how the situation regarding William and Harry’s relationship will unfold.

Speaking of William, it’s safe to say that he would undoubtedly be a great King of the nation one day. His commitment to his people and the tradition are immense.

With the passing of his beloved grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and his father acceding to the throne, William was given a new title and he and his beloved wife are now known as the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The royals always tend to maintain the veneer of perfection, but the media tends to track down any imperfection and reveal any secret the members of the Firm try to sweep under the carpet.

Of course, at times, accidents that are too big to be kept under wrap happen, such as the one Prince William was involved in back in the day.

When he was still very young, William suffered an injury involving a golf club which resulted in a fractured skull.

The incident took place at William’s Wokingham school in 1991, and saw the future king hit in the head by a golf club while playing with friends, as per Hello Magazine.

He was operated on at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, where he stayed over night after a surgery which lasted around 70 minutes. He was accompanied by his mother, late princess Diana, and his brother Harry was his first visitor the following day.

Charles wasn’t with William during the operation as he was attending opera but was in close touch with the doctors, the magazine reports.

Luckily, Prince William recovered quickly but he still remembers the incident.

“I got hit by a golf club when I was playing golf with a friend of mine,” he was reported to have said.

“We were on a putting green and the next thing you know there was a seven-iron and it came out of nowhere and it hit me in the head.”

Speaking of the scar from the injury and the operation that followed, William said, “It glows sometimes and some people notice it – other times they don’t notice it at all.”

He refers to it as to ‘his Harry Potter’ scar.

After closer inspection of this dog’s face the vet realized how serious it was

Allergies occur when the immune system reacts to a foreign substance such as pollen, bee venom or a food that doesn’t cause a reaction in most individuals.

If you thought humans are the only creatures who experience allergies, you can’t be more wrong. Animals do suffer from allergies too.

Dogs, for example, can be allergic to fleas, certain food, and environmental allergens.

According to the American Kennel Club, food allergies at dogs aren’t common but they do exist. The symptoms range from skin conditions such as hives, facial swelling, and itchiness to gastrointestinal signs such as vomiting and/or diarrhea. Sometimes, they occur as a combination of both.

A dog owner was shocked to see her four-legged pal’s face extremely swollen one day. She wasn’t certain what was going on, and the first thought that came to mind was that the naughty boy got stung by bees.

Just in case, she took him to the vet’s and was surprised to learn that her dog was in fact allergic to the food she recently purchased for him.

The vet administered medications in order to open the airways and bring down the swelling. Luckily, the dog was fine.

The owner now issues a warning to other people out there to be aware of dog allergies.

If you spot any of the symptoms mentioned above, rush your dog to the hospital right away.

81-year-old Martha Stewart posing scandalous photos on social media has fans shocked

Martha, who is the first female self-made billionaire, has tried herself in different careers before becoming a well-known TV personality, and she was very successful in each of them.

As a teenager, she signed with Ford Models and was featured in shows, magazines, and commercials. According to her, she was “the all American girl.”

Later, she attended Barnard College and pursued a career as a stockbroker at an all-male firm.

“I lasted in that business for about eight years, working in a firm of all men. Only one woman owned a seat on the New York Stock Exchange at that time. I’m not intimidated by men; I never was,” Martha Stewart told People. “But men actually welcomed me to their offices. We wore hot pants to work. I still have my pale, peachy-pink ones and my chocolate-brown ones. I wore them with either high heels, bare legs, or tights. Elegant but also crazy. Like, how can you go to work in short-shorts? But I didn’t think twice about it. I was totally respected.”

Eventually, after years of working as a stockbroker, Martha felt she should spend more time with her family; her now ex-husband Andrew Steward and her only child, daughter Alexis.

While Alexis attended school in Westport, Connecticut, Martha came up with the idea of starting an at-home catering business. A decade later, she launched her company Martha Stewart Inc. which turned into a million dollar business.

In 1990, she and her husband divorced, and she had a hard time accepting the fact she and Andrew were no longer together.

“Getting divorced was a terrible thing for me because we were the first to divorce in my family,” she told the Daily Mail. “And that we haven’t spoken since the divorce is even more painful.”

In December 2001, things took a turn for the worse for Stewart. She decided to sell 4,000 shares of ImClone Systems, a biomedical firm owned by her family friend Samuel Waksal. Her decision was made only a day before information about ImClone came out publicly which made stock prices plummet. Her timely decision to sell stocks sparked rumors that this move was due to insider trading.

Due to the speculation, in 2003 she stepped down as the CEO of her company so she could focus on absolving herself from the accusations and to save her brand from her tainted image.

She was sentenced to five months in prison and five months under house arrest in 2004. After her sentence, she was only given an editorial role at her company.

Later on when she was finally allowed to leave her home, she restarted her television career, and obtained a more active role in her company till she eventually became chairman again in 2012.

Besides being active on the screen, Stewart often shares photos of herself on the social media, and some of them, especially the most recent ones, are inappropriate for someone her age according to her fans.

During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the host asked Stewart, who was quite candid about her social media activities, where she gained the confidence to pose only with an apron on, to which the cookbook writer said, “I practiced the day before to see if I looked OK…and I looked good, so.”

Plenty of her photos show her wearing just her robe and pouting at the camera, which causes quite a stir.

“I think I look fine and I’m in good shape. I’m healthy, I’m vibrant, I’m energetic and I’m still the curious person I’ve always been. [Posing in only an apron] didn’t faze me one iota,” the media mogul said of the comments people make about her.

Earlier this year, Stewart discussed her health. “I do take very, very good care of myself. I have my regular checkups; they’re on the calendar at least six months in advance, I eat extremely well. I’m not a vegetarian, but I do eat a lot of good fish and very little meat. I eat fantastic vegetables that I grow myself, and delicious eggs right out of my chicken coop. I live on a farm, which I think is one of the healthiest lifestyles there is because when I get up in the morning, I can go outside and breathe fresh air.”

Stewart added, “I can plant some flowers or pick some vegetables and make a green juice that is utterly delicious, which really helps with the maintenance of good skin, good hair and strong bones.”

At 81, Martha Stewart defies age and looks as fabulous as ever.

7-year-old boy who suffered horrific burns as a baby gets adopted by his foster mom

Life can be unfair sometimes, but as time passes by, we realize that things do get better and we learn to live with everything that comes along the way.

The story of 7-year-old Deyvion from Missouri is both extremely sad and happy at the same time. When he was still a baby, this brave young boy suffered horrific injuries after a fire started in the apartment where he was sleeping.

Sadly, he spent a very long time at a special burns unit where doctors struggled to save his life. The worst of all was that Deyvion had to go through the ordeal all by himself, with no one of his loved ones by his side. All he had was the doctors who were determined to give him a second chance.

After 2,545 days on his own, Deyvion finally became a part of a family that he could call his own. A single mom of two named Beth Plunkett fostered him for two years before she finally adopted him just recently.

Deyvion’s Drastic Journey

Sweet Deyvion loves his mom and his siblings so very much and is very happy around them.

Speaking of how special he is to her, his mom Beth told WGN9 News: “I thought he was a beautiful little boy, and I fell in love with him very quickly. I feel everybody says, ‘Oh, he’s so lucky to have you and what you’re doing,’ but I’m, I’m just as equally lucky to have him.”

The day when Deyvion became Beth’s legal son was a very special one because he got to share his joy with the firefighters from the South Metro Fire Department in Raymore who saved his life back in 2013. They even gave him a special jacket and a hat made just for him and drove him and his mom to the court in one of their firetrucks.

“I want him to be, most importantly, just happy,” Beth said. “And I want him to always feel loved and to just … to have goals and like, reach them and just do amazing, amazing things. And I know, I know he will … God definitely has an awesome plan for him.”

The network got new pictures of the grown-up quintuplets: they will already go to school

The Busbys are one of our most beloved American families. We wait for each new episode of their show OutDaughtered to air in anticipation because we can never have enough of the busy, but fun life of this family of eight.

Currently, the show seems to be on hiatus, but we truly hope new episodes will be shot in the months to come.

Adam and Danielle are the parents of six daughters, five of which are the only all-girl quintuplets in the U.S. Being around so many girls has to be a bit difficult for the only guy in the family who always makes sure to make his girls’ days enjoyable.

However, no matter how hard it is to fulfill the needs and the wishes of their daughters, the members of this family are never bored. They won’t stay still but are always looking for new adventures.

Believe it or not, the quintuplets, Ava Lane, Olivia Marie, Hazel Grace, Riley Paige, and Parker Kate, are now six years old and they look as adorable as ever.

Not only we watch these famous TV personalities on screen, but their mom Danielle makes sure she keeps fans updated by posting plenty of photos on the social media.

When they celebrated their sixth birthday, the girls all had different cakes based on their references which speaks of their different personalities.

They always enjoy their 10-year-old sister’s company. Although she’s still young herself, she is a huge support to her five younger sisters and real salvation for her parents when they need a helping hand.

Judge Judy speaks of the mini-stroke she experienced live on TV

Being a woman in a male-dominated profession was pretty hard back in the day. Nowadays, things are changed, but it took us quite some time to get where we are today.

Judy Sheindlin, or as most of you know her as “Judge Judy,” was never afraid to pursue a career as a lawyer. In fact, she always knew she would become one, although people believed she didn’t belong in the profession. When she graduated from the American University in Washington DC 1963, she was the only woman in her class of 126 students.

She first worked as a lawyer before becoming a judge.

One day in 1966, she welcomed 60 Minutes inside her court room and that was the start of one of the best TV shows there are, “Judge Judy.” It was on air for over 25 years. The show was canceled in 2020.

The audience fell for Judge Judy’s no-nonsense, wisecracking approach from day one, and her show grew in popularity with each episode.

During one of her live performances, Judge Judy experienced a mini-stroke.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Judy reportedly claimed, “The folks that watched me for 15 years sensed something was wrong, and without asking – which was probably a very good thing, because I would have said, ‘Don’t go there’ – they called EMS.”

She could be noticed asking questions in a very slow motion, which was a sign something wasn’t right, so the producers called 911.

“I could have had a transient ischemia stroke, but the symptoms went away quickly,” she said.

Today, 80-year-old Judy Sheindlin is running a new show and is in good health.

Despite her age, she doesn’t plan to slow down. “I’m not tired. Tennis or golf are not my sports. I have no desire and no intention to learn how to play mahjong, checkers, or chess,” she said.

“I am aware of the things I like to do. Why would I want to try to learn something new at this stage in my life when I already know what I like?”

Judy and her husband Jerry Sheindlin once divorced, but their love for one another was so strong that they toed the knot once again and have never left each other’s side ever since.

Lioness sees man who saved her 7 years ago – Look at her reaction

Animals never forget, and this doesn’t only apply on elephants but to every creature out there who has ever experienced love and a human touch.

A lioness named Kiara, after the character from Lion King, was rescued as a cub. The man who saved her, Alfonso, took care of her for some time until she needed to transferred to a sanctuary with other animals.

Years passed by and Kiara was again transferred to a new home, this time in New Mexico.

Little did she know that someone special was waiting for her there.

Alfonso was looking forward to the reunion with Kiara, but he wasn’t sure what to expect. However, Kiara’s reaction knocked him to the ground, literally. Realizing the man standing right in front of her eyes is the man who gave her a new lease on life when she was still just a baby made Kiara jump all over him in excitement.

Her reaction is something you definitely don’t want to miss.
