A Teacher…

Children are the most innocent creatures who are never afraid to speak their mind and do what they please no matter the outcome. The following story is the perfect proof of that.

A teacher noticed that a little boy at the back of the class, was squirming around, scratching his crotch and not paying attention.

She went back to find out what was going on. He was quite embarrassed and whispered that he had just recently been circumcised and he was quite itchy.

The teacher told him to go down to the principal’s office; he was to phone his mother and ask her what he should do about it.

He did, and returned to his class. Suddenly, there was a commotion at the back of the room.

She went back to investigate only to find him sitting at his desk with his penis hanging out.

“I thought I told you to call your Mom,” she screamed. “I did,” he said, “and she told me that if I could stick it out till noon, she’d come and pick me up from school.”

The tragic passing of a music icon

Frank Ifield, a music icon and a household name in the UK, who played pivotal role in the early success of the Beatles, has died aged 86.

The news of Ifield’s passing was shared on the social media by his long-time friend, music historian and journalist Glenn A. Baker.

“I just took a call from David Ifield, telling me that his brother FRANK IFIELD peacefully passed on this Saturday night, at age 86. There is so much to be said about this remarkable man, who had four number ones in Britain, three of them before the Beatles (who he had briefly support him in concert).

I Remember You became an indelible hit all around the world and a perfect signature song. It topped the U.K. charts for 7 weeks.

“This is not the time to say any more than my thoughts are with Frank’s brothers and his wife Carole and to say how fortunate I was to see him earlier this year. I’m still gathering my thoughts.”

Redferns

He was born in Coundon, UK, in November, 1937, but his family moved to Australia when he was just 3-years-old.

Ifield showed love for music from very early age. At 13 years old, he got a guitar from his grandmother and started writing songs.

In 1959, he made the decision to move back to the UK, where he turned into a true sensation, with four of his hits topping the charts.

Ifield also performed in front of the late Queen in 1965 – at Royal Variety Show.

In 1986 he was diagnosed with pneumonia and doctors had a part of his lung removed, which affected his vocals cords and his singing career.

Ifield was inducted to the Aria Music Awards’ Hall of Fame, and was presented with a Medal of the Order of Australia for his “service to the arts as an entertainer” in 2009.

Tributes came pouring in, with radio host Luke Davies writing, “Very Sad to hear that Frank Ifield has passed away. He was instrumental in the music scene during the 1960’s. Although a bit before my time, I used to love playing this song on the radio… Sleep Tight Frank, I Remember You.”

Columnist and close friend Pete Chambers shared his condolences: “RiP to my great friend @FrankIfield we will always remember you, your legendary talent as a musician and above all your kindness as an extraordinary human being.”

Rest in peace, Frank Ifield.

Uncommon images of Princess Diana, one of the most photographed people on Earth

Known as the People’s Princess because of her nurturing and compassionate nature, as well as love for the ordinary citizens, Lady Di will forever be remembered as the woman who changed Britain and the Monarchy.

This incredible Princess rose to prominence upon her engagement to Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest son and heir apparent to the British throne. Ever since the world learned of her, she was under the spotlight. The paparazzi followed her every move, and according to many, pushed her to her death.

The following photos show a different side of Diana and remind us once again why we all loved her so much.

A ski trip with her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Unlike the rest of the engagement rings of the British royals, which are custom made, Diana’s 12-carat sapphire ring surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds set in white gold was ordered from a Garrard jewelry collection catalog. Upon her passing, the ring went to Kate Middleton after William proposed to her with it.

On her wedding day, Diana was so excited and even confused that she called her future husband Philip Charles Arthur George instead of just Charles Philip.

According to her brother Charles Spencer, Diana had a hard time wearing the tiara at the beginning because it caused her headaches.

“In the evening we all went to a sort of semi-private party and she was there and I just remember she had a cracking headache also since she wasn’t used to wearing a tiara all morning,” he said in an interview.

As much as it was very special, Diana’s wedding dress caused her some trouble as the designers of the 25-foot train failed to take into an account how challenging it would be to walk in. When she entered the carriage, Lady Di’s dress slightly crushed and appeared wrinkled as a result.

When asked whether they were in love with each other shortly after their engagement, Charles replied, “Whatever ‘in love’ means,” to Diana’s “Of course.”

Diana is shown the sketches of her gown which were later torn apart in case someone wanted to get a peek.

The wedding gifts Charles and Diana received were perfectly unique. The Reagans, for one, gifted them a handcrafted porcelain centerpiece and an engraved Steuben glass bowl. They also received gloves made of 100-year-old silk and a timepiece set with diamonds and sapphires, among the rest.

Once the wedding took place, it was exposed with the public that Charles and Diana shared a common ancestor in Henry VII of the Tudors. They were 16th cousins once removed.

Charles and Diana are photographed on their honeymoon. A lip reader said at the time that during their conversation, the newlyweds said, “The honeymoon was the ideal time to catch up on sleep…”

This photograph was taken in 1980, before Diana became a Princess.

Vinegar is the secret to softer towels, whiter whites, and other laundry solutions

Cleaning the home and doing the laundry can be an exhausting task many dread. On top of that, cleaning supplies such as detergents, all purpose cleaners, fabric softeners, stain removers, and more, can cost a fortune. At the same time, they often contain chemicals that can irritate the skin and harm the environment.

Luckily, there are other ways to keep your home and laundry clean.

One thing that we all have in our homes and is an affordable, eco-friendly option with many benefits for us and our household is the vinegar.

Thanks to its high acidity, distilled white vinegar is a versatile and powerful cleaner for various laundry tasks. With a pH of 2.5, it effectively removes stains and softens rough towels. At the same time, it can help eliminate the odor.

Take a look at the different uses of vinegar for laundry below.

1. Odor Remover

Vinegar is highly effective at neutralizing unpleasant odors of your clothes. It eliminates the bacteria responsible for odors such as mildew, sweat, and other unpleasant smells. For mildew in towels, add 2 cups of vinegar to hot water in the washing machine. To freshen clothes, add half a cup to a cup of vinegar during the rinse cycle.

2. Stain Remover

If you want to treat clothes that have stains, simply spray some vinegar on the spot before putting the clothing into the washing machine. For minor stains, soak the item in a solution of one cup of vinegar combined with two cups of warm water. For more stubborn stains, create a paste using one tablespoon of vinegar and one tablespoon of baking soda and rub it directly on the stain.

3. Color Protector

Adding a cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle keeps the color of the dark clothes vibrant and prevents the detergent from fading them.

4. Static and Lint Reducer

Vinegar can also serve as an effective static and lint reducer in your laundry. Simply add half a cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle to help reduce static cling in fabrics and loosen lint.

5. Fabric Softener Alternative

For removing any leftover detergent on your clothes and making sure they remain soft, add vinegar in the fabric softener compartment of the washing machine. This way your clothes will remain soft without spending any money on store-bought softeners.

If you have any concerns about your clothes smelling like vinegar, don’t worry because the smell fades away once the clothing, or the towel is completely dried.

Give these tips and tricks a try and let us know of the outcome.

Newlywed couple from Tennessee lost their lives just 48 hours after tying the knot

As reported by the Knoxville Police Department, Jessiah Plemons, 31, and Lily Rose, 25, along with their friend Madison Davis, 23, were driving on a highway exit ramp when their vehicle “left the roadway and struck a guardrail.” The three exited their Dodge and were waiting outside of it on Interstate 40 in Knoxville, Tennessee, when a Chevrolet truck struck them. All three were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Jess and Lily kept their wedding a secret and later shared the big news on the social media, surprising their families and friends.

Jess’s mom, Michelle Plemons, was asked to take care of her son’s two children whom he took in from his sister in order to provide them with a better life. Lily also had two children on her own.

When someone knocked on her door, Michelle believed that her son and his wife arrived home after celebrating their marriage. Unfortunately, she couldn’t be more wrong.

“Next thing you know, I get a knock on my door. And it’s just, it’s every mother’s nightmare. Every mother’s nightmare,” she told WATE. “Jess was my everything, the glue that held our family together. Lily made my baby happy up until the very end.”

Jess’ sister, Milea Effler, also opened up about the tragedy and wrote on the GoFundMe page, “Jess was a great person. Many of you know how Jess struggled with his early life but was finally reborn out of addiction and had his life on track.

“He had taken in my niece and nephew as his own and decided they would have a better life.”

Lily’s cousin, August McClelland, said: “I think that’s what made it harder, is the fact that she was the happiest she’d ever been and it got taken away from her.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Lily’s family as well.

At the time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Rest in peace.

The unanticipated birthday surprise

Turning 80 years old is a very important milestone. It represents reaching a significant age that symbolizes a lifetime of experiences, wisdom, and accomplishments.

On the day he turned 80, a man who has described his relationship with his daughter as close, decided to spend the day with her and pay her a surprise visit.

Following his wife’s passing, the two haven’t seen each other very often, but they have talked on the phone daily.

As the man approached his daughter’s home and knocked on the door, she answered it and was very surprised to see him but wasn’t excited about the visit. What’s most, she asked him what he was doing there, which confused the elderly man who was convinced his daughter would be happy to see him.

“I wanted to spend my birthday with you,” he said, still puzzled by her strange behavior. What’s most, she asked him to leave right away.

His daughter has never treated him that way, which was a red flag. “Was something else going on?” he wondered.

As he turned around and left, he glanced at the house one single time and that’s when he noticed two armed men inside the house.

This explained everything. His daughter was forced to throw him out.

He quickly alerted the police and explained the situation, urging them to hurry.

Officers were at the scene in no time. They surrounded the daughter’s place and then entered inside forcefully. After a couple of minutes, which seemed like an eternity to the elderly man, they got outside with two men in handcuffs.

The man’s daughter came after them and hugged her father. “Dad, I’m so sorry,” she cried. “I was trying to keep you safe. Those men broke in just before you got here. I didn’t know what to do, and I didn’t want you to get hurt.”

He was happy things turned out fine and his daughter was safe.

They spent the rest of the day together and it was the best birthday he could ever ask for.

Father and missing 6-year-old found fatally shot at remote campsite

Screenshot

Brandi Morey-Pols and Michael S. Winchell shared a custody of their six-year-old son, Rowan M. Morey.

The boy would spend time with both his mother and father, but when Winchell failed to returned the boy home to his mom after a visit on Monday, Aug. 19, Morey-Pols knew something was very wrong and alerted the authorities who checked Winchell’s home. Neither he nor the boy were there so they started an extensive search.

Sadly, two days after the missing report was filed, Winchell and young Rowan were found dead inside a camper on East River Road in Chippewa Township.

Carter Landis/WWMT

Police suspects murder-suicide. Winchell killed his own son before taking his own life.

“I would always agonize over if he was going to come home or not; and this time, he didn’t,” devastated Morey-Pols said at a press conference Tuesday afternoon. She recalled moments when her son’s father would shave the boy’s head if she did anything to upset him.

Disturbed by Winchell’s behavior, Morey-Pols spoke to Child Protective Services repeatedly, but said she would often be turned away.

“A mom is never wrong when she knows there’s something going on with her baby,” Morey-Pols said. “I knew. They just didn’t help.”

Rowan’s grandfather, Jerry Pols, said that the family court system has failed them for years concerning Winchell and his treatment of Rowan.

“We are not dealing with minor cracks in the system, but gaping holes that allow children like Rowan to fall through,” Pols said during Tuesday’s press conference. “Often with catastrophic consequences.”

We are sorry for the loss of Rowan, may he rest in peace.

Here’s what you need to know about tonsil stones – the weird pimple-like growths in your throat

If you struggle with bad breath, maybe you should check your tonsils and see if there are any white or yellow spots that on them.

Tonsil stones, also known as tonsilloliths, are made of bits of food, bacteria, or minerals such as calcium which get stuck in the folds and gaps of the tonsils. These stones or lumps have a cheese-like structure.

Except for bad breath and sometimes discomfort in the throat, these stones cause minimal symptoms.

Source: Wikimedia commons

According to research, around 10% of all people experience tonsil stones at some point in their life, but sometimes, they tend to disappear on their won.

Other symptoms of tonsils stones might be:

  1. Sore throat or difficulty swallowing
  2. Metallic taste in the mouth
  3. Swollen tonsils
  4. Ear pain or pressure
  5. Persistent coughing
  6. Tonsil infections
Source: YouTube

Since they are easily visible, no special tests are needed to confirm the diagnosis of tonsil stones. Sometimes, they can be discovered coincidentally when a person gets an X-ray or scans because of other reasons.

Diagnosing tonsil stones usually involves a simple physical examination of your throat and a review of your medical history.

So, what are some of the available options that can help you get rid of tonsil stones.

  1. Self-removal: You can try gently removing the stones at home using a cotton swab or by gargling with saltwater to dislodge them. Do not try to use any sharp or pointy objects to avoid damaging your tonsils.
  2. Medicated gargles: Antimicrobial mouthwashes or gargles may help reduce the build-up of bacteria and prevent the development of tonsil stones.
  3. Oral irrigators: These devices can be used to flush out the tonsil crypts and remove any trapped debris.
  4. Surgical removal: In severe cases, where tonsil stones are causing recurrent infections or significant discomfort, your doctor may recommend a tonsillectomy, which involves removing the tonsils.
  5. Drinking carbonated beverages to assist in loosening the makeup of stones so that they eventually come out on their own.
  6. Coughing to loosen the stones

Some of the ways to prevent tonsil stones are the following:

  • Regular gargling with a salt-water rinse
  • Maintaining good oral hygiene
  • Managing any allergies causing increased nasal mucus
  • Brushing or scraping your tongue regularly

Although tonsil stones are often harmless and can be treated at home, it’s always for the best to seek medical advice. Of course, don’t forget to follow good oral hygiene practices and take preventive measures.
