Robert De Niro’s 19-year-old hrandson Leandro passed away at the age of 19.
Leandro was the son of De Niro’s daughter, actress Drena De Niro. Sharing the devastating news of her son’s tragic loss, she posted a heartbreaking message on Instagram on Sunday night.
“My beautiful sweet angel. I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly,” she started her post. “You have been my joy my heart and all that was ever pure and real in my life. I wish I was with you right now. I wish I was with you. I don’t know how to live without you but I’ll try to go on and spread the love and light that you so made me feel in getting to be your mama. You were so deeply loved and appreciated and I wish that love alone could have saved you.
“I’m so sorry my baby,” the actress further wrote. “Rest in Peace and Eternal Paradise my darling boy.”
She didn’t share anything regarding the reason of her son’s passing but tagged the boy’s father, artist Carlos Mare, in her post.

Drena is the daughter of Diahnne Abbott. De Niro adopted Drena when he married Abbott and gave her his last name. She’s he’s oldest daughter.
Robert De Niro said in a statement on Monday that he was “deeply distressed by the passing of my beloved grandson Leo. We’re greatly appreciative of the condolences from everyone. We ask that we please be given privacy to grieve our loss of Leo.”
We are so very sorry for the loss of such a young man. May he rest in peace.
