Canadian sports fans finish singing US anthem after mic stops working

Sports matches between rivals don’t always end up peacefully. The loyal fans who cheer their teams tend to fight and argue over the game, but luckily, that’s not always the case. Some fans respect those who support the other team or national representation, just like the Canadian guys from the video below.

During a match between two teams, one from the U.S. and the other one from Canada, the mic stopped working shortly after the performer started singing the American national. But then, something truly incredible happened. The Canadians continued singing in one voice. It truly was a moment to remember which reminded us how lucky we are to have this country and its people as our neighbors.

The video of the Toronto Maple Leafs fans stepping in and cherishing our anthem has been seen more than 7.8 million times and it gives us goosebumps every time we watch it. Yes, this is one of those videos that you go back to every now and then.

People couldn’t help by comment, with many of them saying that this was the ultimate form of respect.

“American Veteran here. Our Canadian brothers and sisters are a very kind and loyal people. I will bare arms to protect and defend,” one person wrote. Another added, “I’m an American— I know all the words to “O Canada” and sing it just as loudly as I do my own anthem. ☺️ Thank you, Canada, for being such an awesome neighbor!! ❤️”

This is definitely a must watch. Check the incredibly touching moment in the video below.
