Adopted rescue dog gets a new life and his own food bowl he sleeps with every single night

Adopting a dog means changing that creature’s life entirely forever.

A woman named Susanne, who is a huge animal lover, stumbled upon a little guy named Neville at a local shelter. Something about that 10-year-old Jack Russell terrier mix filled her heart with joy. She just knew she had to have him. Speaking to The Dodo of that serendipitous encounter, Susanne said, “I knew instantly that I loved him! I queued for three hours outside the center to ensure I was the first to register my interest, and we bonded the moment we clapped eyes on each other.”

Neville was admitted at the shelter as a stray dog and his rescuers could say his life wasn’t an easy one. He wasn’t neutered and was likely used as a breeding dog throughout the years. However, Susanne was there to change that and give him a second chance for a better life.

After he was treated for his bad teeth, Neville was about to learn how to behave around the rest of his human mommy’s dogs. At first, he would eat from the ground and would fight with his doggy siblings for the food bowl. Well, that’s what life taught him to in order to have his belly full. Luckily, he would soon realize that he would have his own bowl; one he would refuse to depart from in the days and years to come.

“I had to train him to eat from a bowl, and once he caught on to it, he treasured that bowl,” Susanne said. “He just seems so heartbreakingly grateful for a simple bowl. I think it represents comfort and home for him.”

It’s so awesome Neville got the life he deserves, and of course, a personal bowl which never lacks food. We hope more people would become aware of the importance of adopting over buying their pets.
