A family of three lost their lives in a freak accident in Brazil in November of last year. Hugo Pereira, 33, his wife Stella Souza, and their 7-month-old baby Sol died after a cliff face collapsed on top of them.
According to people close to the family, they had moved to area after Hugo got a job as a hotel manager. Souza’s mom spoke to the Alkhaleej Today, and said: “They were very happy, a very happy family. Hugo was a wonderful man who took good care of Stella and Sol. They were people who only left happiness.”

Brazilian media reported that the bodies of the family were found buried in a landslide. The mom was hugging her baby, as she probably tried to protect him. Sadly, all of them died. The baby was alive at the time rescue arrived, but his injuries were way too severe. He died a few moments later.
According to 7news.com, a local fisherman said how they are always warning tourists to stay away from the shadows of the cliffs. “I’m born and raised here and this has always happened because the sea is gradually destroying the cliff more and more,” he added.

The family’s dog, Brisa, also died in the accident.
