Melania Trump sparks new ‘body-double’ conspiracy at Pope Francis’ funeral

Pope Francis was not only a Catholic leader and the first pope from Latin-America, but someone who had spend his entire life choosing simplicity and humbleness. He was often surrounded by ordinary people and helped those in need.

Despite his declining health, a day before his passing, he passed through the crowd in St. Peter’s Square in his so-called popemobile without the bulletproof glass around him. Over 50,000 people were gathered to honor him.

Pope Francis’ final public appearance was on Easter Sunday, when he greeted crowds at the Easter Sunday Service and gave his ‘Urbi et Orbi’ benediction from a balcony overlooking the Piazza.

The Vatican announced his passing on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025. He died at the age of 88 at his residence in the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta.

Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, served as the 266th pope.

“His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of his Church,″ Cardinal Kevin Ferrell, the Vatican camerlengo, said.

“He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with faithfulness, courage, and universal love, especially for the poorest and most marginalised.

“With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite, merciful love of God, One and Tribune.″

Pope Francis’ funeral was attended by hundreds of thousands of mourners and world leaders. The Italian government confirmed the presence of over 100 foreign delegations.

Trump triggered backlash from the public with his choice of clothing. Namely, while everyone wore black, he opted for a blue suit, which is considered unconventional for a pope’s funeral, to say the least.

Pope Francis’ casket, which was made of simple wood upon his wish, was transferred in procession from St Peter’s Basilica to Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, about 2.5 miles away.

For the Pope Francis’ funeral, Melania Trump wore an all-black outfit from Italian designer label Dolce & Gabbana.

However, as photos of the Trumps arriving at the funeral were shared online, many wondered of she was really there.

Namely, X account Call to Activism shared a video of Trump and Melania walking to the helicopter shortly before departing from the US to attend Pope Francis’ funeral with the caption, “What do you notice about the way Trump and Melania just walked to the helicopter today?”

In a matter of minutes, people started commenting, sharing theories of a “body-double,” something that has happened plenty if times before.

“Melania never wears flat shoes either…I’m betting that this is the fake body double Melania because the real Melania did not want to have to go and stay with Trump overseas for the entire trip,” one person wrote.

Another wrote: “Fake Melania,” while a third stated, “Look at her face That’s NOT Melania.”

Someone else chimed in, “I don’t notice how they walked to the helicopter, but from the back, that is not Melania or DJT, IMO. Melania wouldn’t wear an off-the-rack coat.”

People also believed Melania used a “body-double” during the election day, when she was pictured wearing sunglasses indoors.

Canada’s new prime minister takes aim at Trump after win

Newly elected Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney didn’t waste any time throwing fuel to the already fiery relationship between Canada and the US.

Moments after being elected, PM Mark Carney said in his victory speech that Donald Trump is “trying to break us so that America can own us.”

“As I’ve been warning for months, America wants our land, our water, our resources, our country… never,” he said in the early hours of the morning of April 29.

“That will never, ever happen. But we also must recognize the reality that our world has fundamentally changed,” he added and warned these were not “idle threats.”

Carney’s speech is a response to Trump’s vision to make Canada a part of the United States of America.

Before former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s decision to step down from power after a decade at the helm, Trump referred to him as to a “Governor of Canada.”

Prior to the elections in Canada, Trump took to Truth Social trying to influence Canadian voters.

“Good luck to the Great people of Canada,” he wrote.

“Elect the man who has the strength and wisdom to cut your taxes in half, increase your military power, for free, to the highest level in the World, have your Car, Steel, Aluminum, Lumber, Energy, and all other businesses, QUADRUPLE in size, WITH ZERO TARIFFS OR TAXES, if Canada becomes the cherished 51st. State of the United States of America.

“No more artificially drawn line from many years ago. Look how beautiful this land mass would be. Free access with NO BORDER. ALL POSITIVES WITH NO NEGATIVES. IT WAS MEANT TO BE!” Trump continued.

Both Prime Minister Carney and his rival, Liberal Party candidate Both Poilievre, pledged to stand up to Trump if elected.

Carney said they were “over the shock of the American betrayal” and ask his people “to look out for ourselves and above all we have to take care of each other.”

“When I sit down with President Trump it will be to discuss the future economic and security relationship between two sovereign nations, and it will be with our full knowledge that we have many, many other options than the United States to build prosperity for all Canadians,” Mark Carney added.

He also urged Canadians to buy domestic goods and to explore everything the country has to offer.

“United we will win this trade war and build the strongest economy in the G7. An economy that works for everyone,” Carney added.

Pope Francis left this world on Easter Monday, April 21, leaving the world mourning the loss for the Christian leader who changed the church and showed enormous humility and compassion.

From the moment he was elected a pope in 2013, he chose simplicity and focused on the needy and the poor, asking for peace and reconciliation.

Pope Francis made his final public appearance on Easter Sunday, when he greeted crowds at the Easter Sunday Service and gave his ‘Urbi et Orbi’ benediction from a balcony overlooking the Piazza.

He addressed the crowds with the words, “Dear brothers and sisters, Happy Easter! Blessed be the almighty father and son and holy spirit. I ask the master of ceremonies to read the message.”

His address continued: “And with firm hope in eternal life, I wish to set out my final wishes solely regarding the place of my burial. Throughout my life, and during my ministry as a priest and bishop, I have always entrusted myself to the Mother of Our Lord, the Blessed Virgin Mary.

“For this reason, I ask that my mortal remains rest – awaiting the day of the Resurrection – in the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major.”

Following his passing, Vatican News shared Pope Francis’ last words he told to the nurse who cared for him during his illness.

“Thank you for bringing me back to the Square,” he told him, expressing his gratitude.

Massimiliano Strappetti was appointed the pope’s personal healthcare assistant in 2022. According to the pope himself, he once saved his life when he suggested colon surgery.

“Mr. Strappetti stayed by the Pope’s side during all 38 days of his hospitalization at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital, and keeping watch round-the-clock during his recovery at the Casa Santa Marta,” Vatican News reported.

Months before his passing, Pope Francis suffered health issues and was admitted to the hospital in February where he stayed for 38 days, the longest hospital stay during his papacy.

Vatican reported that on Easter Monday, Pope Francis, who suffered from pneumonia, suffered a cerebral stroke that led to a coma and, shortly after, heart failure.

Pope Francis’ funeral, which he himself wished to be modest, mirrored his simple life. His casket was made of simple wood lined with zinc, as he wished.

He also asked that no inscriptions on the tomb mention his role as Pope.

Everything we know after boat crashes into ferry carrying up to 50 passengers leaving at least one dead

Boat crashes into the Clearwater Ferry in Clearwater, Florida, leaving one person dead and at least twelve injured.

According to the Clearwater Police Department, all of the people injured were on the ferry that was carrying 45 passengers, including two crew members. The collision happened at the end of the 17-day Sugar Sand Festival, held on Clearwater beach.

Two of the injured people who were in a serious condition after the boat crashes the ferry were airlifted to hospital, the City of Clearwater said on X.

“Along with @clearwaterfire, we’re working a boat crash off the Memorial Causeway bridge that has resulted in multiple injuries,” the Clearwater Police Department said in a statement shared on social media.

“It’s been declared a mass casualty incident by the fire department due to the number of injuries. All local hospitals have been notified. Multiple trauma alerts have been called with helicopters transporting two of the more seriously injured. Drivers should avoid Memorial Causeway.”

Four people were transferred to Morton Plant Hospital, while two female patients were transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg. Another patient was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa.

Rob Shaw, information officer with the City of Clearwater told ABC Action News, “We believe the boat responsible for hitting the ferry left the scene immediately and we believe our law enforcement partners are at another location with that boat right now, but we are still asking anybody who has information anyone that witnessed anything anyone that may have any video to contact us.”

However, it was later reported by the City of Clearwater that “The boat that fled the scene has been identified by another law enforcement agency.

The world’s oldest woman, who lived to 117, ate the same meal every day throughout her life

Emma Martina Luigia Morano, born on 29 November 1899, got to live to 117, making it the world’s oldest woman.

She died in 2017, in Italy, where she had lived her entire life.

Morano was the eldest of eight siblings and outlived them all. The story of her enduring life stunned the world and many were eager to learn the secret behind her longevity.

There have only been 12 more verified cases of people reaching Morano’s age.

Asked about her life and health, Morano once said it was due to genetics and a specific diet that included eating three eggs a day, two of which raw.

She took up this diet after being diagnosed with anemia after World War I ended.

Morano only cut to two eggs per day and a couple of biscuits during the last years of her life.

According to her doctor, she barely ate any fruits and vegetables.

“When I met her, she ate three eggs per day, two raw in the morning and then an omelette at noon, and chicken at dinner,” Carlo Bava, Morano’s doctor of 27 years said.

According to the Mirror, Morano included in her diet a special touch of grappa—an Italian liquor—prepared with herbs like sage and rue, along with some grapes. 

Throughout her life, which she had described as tough, she experienced an abusive marriage and the death of her only child. Morano lived through more than 90 different Italian governments and two World Wars.

The world’s oldest woman said that her longevity was part due to her decision to kick out her husband in 1938.

In fact, she was dragged into the marriage by threats, and didn’t want to be married after a boy she liked died in the war.

Although she and her abusive husband separated in 1938, they stayed married until his passing in 1978. She never remarried.

“I didn’t want to be dominated by anyone,” she told the New York Times.

Morano’s mother lived to 91 and most of her siblings reached to be centenarians.

Donald Trump faces backlash over ‘disrespectful’ gesture at Pope Francis’ funeral

For a day, Rome was the center of the world as hundreds of thousands of people, including world leaders, gathered to say their farewell to the first pope of Latin-America, the man who impacted the Catholic church forever, Pope Francis.

As expected, US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania were among those who paid their tributes and attended the funeral.

Before heading to Rome, Trump made a comment about the upcoming funeral of Pope Francis that enraged many.

Asked to make a comment about the late pontiff, the business mogul-turned president said “he was a fantastic kind of a guy.” Many believed he should have chosen more eloquent words to describe the Catholic leader, slamming his choice of vocabulary.

Further, Trump said Pope Francis’ funeral would be attended by world leaders, which would give him the opportunity to meet with them and talk trade.

“My goodness. Please tell me Donald Trump isn’t going to try to work trade deals at Pope Francis’s funeral,” a person commented on the president’s comment.

“Disrespectful,” another added.

A third commented: “He should be shunned.”

His comment, which many dubbed inappropriate, wasn’t the only reason Trump has come under fire.

The couple were seen pausing as they passed Pope Francis’ coffin to pay their respects. However, once all the leaders stood in rows, wearing dark attires, Trump “stuck out like a sore thumb” due to his choice of suit.

For some reason, he opted for a blue color suit while everyone else’s was black.

Plenty of people took to the social media to share their opinion, writing that the US president lacked class and disrespected the pope by trying to steal the attention.

“Any reason why Donald Trump is in a blue suit and not wearing traditional black for a funeral?” someone wondered.

Numbness or tingling sensations in your hands

Has it ever happened that you woke up and felt numbness or tingling sensations in your hands? If the answer is yes, you are not alone.

The good thing is that this sensation, that feels like pins-and-needles isn’t dangerous all by itself.

As per the Mayo Clinic, “Numbness alone isn’t usually associated with potentially dangerous disorders, such as strokes or tumors.”

What’s most, numbness or tingling sensations in your hands can be easy to overcome.

One of the reasons behind this “condition” can be the sleeping position. If you slept with your hands under your body for most of the night, you are likely to lose the sensations in your hands in the morning.

Further, the tingly sensation may appear because of repetitive movements with the hands and the fingers such as using tools, typing, or writing. These repetitive movements can lead to compression of the nerves over time, and an example of that is the condition known as carpal tunnel syndrome, a common condition affecting the median nerve in the wrist.

“If the condition persists, it can cause permanent nerve damage. Sometimes surgery is necessary to relieve the pressure,” as per Healthline.

The numbness or tingling sensations in your hands and feet can also be a result of vitamin B12 deficiency, common at vegans and vegetarians.

This vitamins is found in eggs, meat, dairy, and fortified cereals, but it also comes in the form of supplements.

When calcium, potassium, or sodium levels drop in the body, it can disrupt nerve signals, causing tingling sensations. This is often due to dehydration, specific medications, or underlying health issues.

To avoid this, maintain balance by staying hydrated, consume nutrient-rich foods, and seek medical advice if the symptoms continue.

Peripheral nerves can be damaged at people with long-term high blood sugar, leading to diabetic neuropathy. This condition is also connected with numbness, tingling, or even burning sensations in the hands and feet.

Nerves can get compressed because of a herniated disc or neck spondylosis, too.

Autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and poor circulation can also cause the sensation of numbness and tingling, as well as non-cancerous growths like ganglion cysts and certain infections.

Tragedy in Vancouver as car crashes into street festival crowd, leaving multiple dead and injured

Eleven people, among which a 5-year-old child, lost their lives in the car-ramming attack in Vancouver when a driver ploughed into a crowd at the Lapu-Lapu Day festival at 8pm on Saturday, the Independent reports.

The Vancouver Police Department said in a statement that the man behind the crowd crash, 30-year-old Kai-Ji Adam Lo, was known to the police and to the mental health professionals.

The police assures the Vancouver crowd crash that claimed the lives of 11 people wasn't an act of terrorism.

He has since been arrested and charged with eight counts of second-degree murder, but more charges are expected, officials said. As of now, he remains in custody.

Acting Police Chief Steve Rai said the suspect was “known to police in certain circumstances,” adding had “a significant history of interactions with police and healthcare professionals related to mental health.” Rai, however, wouldn’t disclose whether or not the suspect had a past criminal record.

The police assures the Vancouver crowd crash that claimed the lives of 11 people wasn’t an act of terrorism.

The final rallies in Calgary, Richmond and British Columbia have been canceled ahead of the federal election on Monday. Canada’s prime minister Mark Carney saying the nation was left “shocked, devastated and heartbroken.”

“I offer my deepest condolences to the loved ones of those killed and injured, to the Filipino Canadian community, and to everyone in Vancouver. We are all mourning with you,” Carney said.

“We are monitoring the situation closely, and thankful to our first responders for their swift action.”

Photos and videos of the scene showed devastation as people tried to avoid being hit. The suspect was then dragged out of the car. He was said to have said “sorry” to witnesses following the deadly attack.

Further, according to BBC News, witnesses said that the man drove “completely straight, right through the crowd.”

The Bao Buns food truck’s co-owner, Yoseb Vardeh, was at the scene. He witnessed Kai-Ji Adam Lo driving with 100 km/h (62 mph).

However, following King Charles’ coronation, they made a decision to change both Archie and Lili’s names and decided to officially use the surname Sussex for both of them.

When Archie was born, he wasn’t given a royal title due to a convention which prevented titles from being granted beyond the monarch’s grandchildren, except for those born to the direct heir to the throne.

However, following the passing of Queen Elizabeth and King Charles taking the throne, both Archie and Lili were granted the titles of Prince and Princess, which their parents decided their children would use.

Recently, The Office star Mindy Kaling referred to the Duchess by her maiden name, Markle, and the Duchess was quick to correct her.

“You keep saying, Meghan Markle, you know, I’m Sussex now,” she said. “You have kids, and you go, ‘Now I share my name with my children’ … I didn’t know how meaningful it would be to me, but it just means so much to go ‘This is our family name, our little family name’.”

Now that the change of Archie and Lili’s names from Mountbatten-Windsor to Sussex happened, many aren’t happy.

“Instead of rebranding, I would like to see them actually accomplish something. It’s all spin and rather sad,” one person commented.

“For someone who wanted to get away from the royal family he seems to want a foot in both camps,” another added.

“This pair will do anything to be in the limelight, complete hypocrites. For a couple who wanted to be out of the media, they sure do a great job of staying in it,” a third chimed in.

Police respond after eight deaths in same area fuel serial killer fears

Within a few weeks, eight deaths have been reported in the same location, fueling serial killer fears.

On April 22, a woman was discovered unconscious on a Springfield bike route in the 1500 block of Hall of Fame Avenue.

At the time the police and the medics arrived at the scene, she was unresponsive.

“The SPD Homicide Unit under the direction Captain Trent Duda is conducting an unattended death investigation in conjunction with the @HampdenDA Murder Unit, pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner,” Ryan Walsh, a spokesman for the Springfield Police Department said in a statement.

Between March and April, eight individuals, mostly women, died in the area between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

Human remains have been found in places including New Haven, Norwalk, Groton and Killingly, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

Walsh said that authorities didn’t find any link between the eight deaths that triggered fears of a serial killer, referring to the rumors “just that.”

Connecticut State Police recently issued a statement stating that “there is no information at this time suggesting any connection to similar remains discoveries, and there is also no known threat to the public at this time.”

The rumors about a potential serial killer in the area were fueled by a Facebook group “New England Serial Killer,” which was later renamed due to the social media site’s policy.

Peter Valentin, chair of the University of New Haven’s Forensic Science Department spoke of the deaths in the area, stating that the cause of death of the woman discovered on a Springfield bike route has not yet been determined.

“I am curious about what was recovered around the body. There might have been paraphernalia suggestive of activity that is deemphasizing homicide (perhaps incorrectly) to the investigators because that article is quite tepid,” he told Fox Digital.

“It is filled with very cautious language (surely taken right from police press releases), which might be intentional to not feed into what is now turning into intense scrutiny over every suspicious death in New England.”

Looking back at Pope Francis’ ‘awkward’ meeting with Melania Trump

The Catholic world is mourning the loss of the humble pope whose liberal views challenged tradition.

Pope Francis, the first pope of Latin America, died hours after his final public appearance on Easter Sunday, aged 88.

World leaders touched Rome’s spoil to attend his funeral, among them the President of the US, Donald trump, and his wife, Melania Trump.

During their first term at the White House, the Trumps met Pope Francis, and according to many, the meeting was a bit “awkward” to say the least.

Even before the visit took place, Trump had shared his opinion on the pope on several occasions. Namely, a day after he was selected a pope, Francis returned to the front desk of his hotel in Rome to personally settle his bill, which many agreed was just another sign of his humbleness and modesty.

However, Trump wasn’t among them. In fact, he criticized Pope Francis’ action, writing, “I don’t like seeing the Pope standing at the checkout counter (front desk) of a hotel in order to pay his bill. It’s not Pope-like!”

When Trump decided to build the Mexico wall, the pope took a stand and said, “A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the gospel.”

Trump commented on the pope’s statement and dubbed it “disgraceful.”

Despite this, Donald Trump and Melania visited the Vatican in 2017 and met Pope Francis.

Melania Trump, who is of Slovenian descent and whose mother tongue is Slovenian, told MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski during her husband’s first presidential campaign that she spoke several languages. While we are all aware she’s fluent in English, Melania claimed she also spoke Italian, French, and German, besides English and Slovenian.

However, no one has ever heard her speak any Italian, German, or French. What’s most, during occasions when she has meetings with people from the respective countries, she always has translators by her side.

When she met with the pope, he asked her in Italian if she fed her husband a special Slovenian cake called potica. Melania didn’t understand right away and turned to her translator who explained the question. She then said, “Potica, yes.”

Mary Jordan, author and Washington Post reporter, revealed in the 2020 unauthorized biography about Melania, The Art of Her Deal, that the pope was told about Melania’s knowledge of Italian before the meeting.

When he extended his hand to her, Melania said, “Thank you. Nice to meet you,” in English. Pope Francis, however, answered in Italian.

“She looked at him and said nothing,” Jordan wrote in The Art of Her Deal.

However, it was obvious Melania was familiar with some of the Italian words Pope Francis uttered, despite answering in English. Asked by the pope where they were off to next, the First Lady replied, “I’m going to visit a hospital, for bambinos. Thank you so much.”

The question is whether Melania can truly speak Italian or not. If not, then why would she say she could. Maybe to polish her image as a First Lady.

Emotional moment as nun breaks protocol beside Pope Francis’ casket

Sister Genevieve Jeanningros, French-Argentine nun, was allowed to break protocol while paying tribute to Pope Francis due to the close bond she had with the late pontiff.

Her act of praying and crying for the late pope at a place near the casket traditionally reserved for cardinals, bishops and priests represented an emotional moment not only for her but for everyone who witnessed it.

Sister Jeanningros, 81, has known Pope Francis from the time he was Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Archbishop of Buenos Aires.

The footage of her prayer, in which she’s seen wiping her tears away with a tissue, has gone viral.

In July, the Pope had personally visited Sister Jeanningros in Ostia, Rome, to acknowledge her longstanding humanitarian work.

The nun has spent 56 years of her life assisting the disadvantaged, especially transgender women from the area of Ostia.

Sister Jeanningros is part of the Little Sisters of Jesus order.

Even when Bergoglio took over as head of the Catholic Church, their friendship remained strong because of their mutual respect and similar ideals.

She would see the pope every Wednesday, occasionally bringing people from the streets to meet him. Pope Francis always welcomed them and spent time with them, inviting them to lunch and offering financial support.

“She approached her friend just like she did every other Wednesday,” one user reflected. “This encounter, however, proved to be different. She arrived to say goodbye, hoping to see him again in eternal life.”

Sister Jeanningros spoke of the emotional moment she prayed for her late friend, saying, “Many people told me: when you go to see the Pope, take us with you. I cried for them too.”

Laura Esquibel, a trans woman from Portugal who had met Pope Francis through sister Jeanningros, said, “I was the first trans woman to shake his hand. I’ve seen him seven times, we had lunch together. I liked him a lot.”

Over 250,000 mourners paid their respects to Pope Francis over a three-day lying-in-state.

Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre dies aged 41

Virginia Giuffre, who made public accusations against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, stating she had been trafficked and groomed and “forced to have s**” with Prince Andrew at Epstein’s New York home, died of suicide aged 41.

The news of her passing was shared by her heartbroken family.

“It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia,” they said.

“She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of s**ual abuse and s** trafficking.”

“Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against s**ual abuse and s** trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors.

“In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.”

At the time the police arrived to her home in the Neergabby area, Giuffre was unresponsive.

“Police and St John Western Australia attended and provided emergency first aid. Sadly, the 41-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene,” a police spokesperson said. “The death is being investigated by Major Crime detectives; early indication is the death is not suspicious.”

At the time she made the accusations against Prince Andrew, the royal denied the claims. However, he and Giuffre reached a financial settlement out of court in 2022, with Andrew denying any wrongdoing.

Epstein was convicted on s** trafficking charges and took his own life in the prison while awaiting trial. His girlfriend, Maxwell, was also found guilty on five counts of s** trafficking and sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Recently, Virginia Giuffre posted on the social media that she had been involved in a car crash and that she only had days to live due to kidney failure.

Giuffre was a mother of three.

The reason King Charles is forbidden from attending the Pope’s funeral

The news of the passing of Pope Francis sent waves of grief and sorrow through the Christian world.

The pontiff personally requested burial in the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore instead of the Vatican. Before his funeral, his body will lie in state for three days at St Peter’s Basilica where hundreds of thousands of believers and world leaders will pai their tributes.

Among the world leaders expected to attend Pope Francis’ funeral are the presidents of most countries, President Macron of France to Argentina’s firebrand leader Javier Milei and Donald Trump and his wife.

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer confirmed the attendance, but King Charles will not attend the pope’s funeral for a very strange reason – he’s simply not allowed to go.

Katie Nicholl, a royal expert, explained that “King Charles, the last head of state to have an audience with Pope Francis, will not travel to the Vatican, in accordance with protocol and precedence which dictates that the Sovereign does not attend funerals.”

The king’s son, Prince William will instead attend the funeral on his father’s behalf, just like then-Prince Charles attended the funeral of Pope John Paul II on behalf of his mother, Queen Elizabeth III.

What is rather unusual in this situation is that King Charles and Pope Francis met just days before the pope’s passing. In fact, the two have been close friends.

King Charles praised Pope Francis publicly.

“His Holiness will be remembered for his compassion, his concern for the unity of the Church and for his tireless commitment to the common causes of all people of faith, and to those of goodwill who work for the benefit of others,” King Charles said and continued: “His belief that care for Creation is an existential expression of faith in God resounded with so many across the world. Through his work and care for both people and planet, he profoundly touched the lives of so many.”

William attending the pope’s funeral will mark his first time officially attending a major international funeral on behalf of King Charles.

He did travel to Kuwait in late 2023 to offer condolences following the death of Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah but didn’t attend the funeral.

US citizen reveals shocking deportation threat from Trump officials

Aldo Martinez-Gomez, who was born and raised in California, received a threatening email from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Namely, DHS requested that he leaves the country within seven days, otherwise he will face “criminal prosecutions.”

“DHS is now exercising its discretion to terminate your parole. Unless it expires sooner, your parole will terminate 7 days from the date of this notice,” the message in question sent on April 11 read, according to Uniland.

“If you do not depart the United States immediately, you will be subject to potential law enforcement actions that will result in your removal from the United States – unless you have otherwise obtained a lawful basis to remain here.”

The email ended with a direct threat. “Do not attempt to remain in the United States – the federal government will find you. Please depart the United States immediately.”

As expected, the content of the deportation threat visibly disturbed Martinez-Gomez.

Speaking to ABC 10NEWS, he said, “I do get nervous because I don’t want to be an error with so many errors that this administration has made. And they have been talking about deporting US citizens, so it is a concern because that means I’m on their radar.”

Since beginning his second term, Trump’s administration has intensified efforts to deport undocumented immigrants.

So far, he has deported 238 supposed criminals to the world’s worst prison in El Salvador and tried to revoke the legal status of around 530,000 migrants who arrived in the States under a humanitarian parole program.

A senior DHS official explained that some of the notices, like the deportation threat Martinez-Gomez has received, could be sent out by mistake.

“Notices may have been sent to unintended recipients. CBP is monitoring communications and will address any issues on a case-by-case basis.”

Martinez-Gozmes, who works full-time for a non-profit organization, believes he’s under the government’s radar due to his advocacy for immigrants.

“I believe I received it because I’m an accredited representative, and I represent immigrants, and I advocate for immigrants’ rights in the court,” he said.

Reportedly, other people born and raised in the States, just like Martinez-Gomez have also received the threatening email.

JD Vance sparks outrage after ‘lack of respect’ following Pope Francis’ death

A day before his final public appearance on Easter Sunday, when he greeted the crowd and wished them Happy Easter, Pope Francis welcomed Vice President JD Vance into his Vatican Home.

Allegedly, during the meeting, which lasted for just a couple of minutes, Vance had broken a cardinal rule.

Vance was spending a weekend with his family in Vatican City and was reportedly snubbed by the pope on Saturday, leaving him to meet Vatican’s secretary of state, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, and foreign minister, Archbishop Paul Gallagher.

The office of the vice president, who converted to Catholicism in 2019, reported that Vance and Parolin “discussed their shared religious faith, Catholicism in the United States, the plight of persecuted Christian communities around the world, and President Trump’s commitment to restoring world peace.”

According to the Vatican News, however, the two had “an exchange of opinions on the international situation, especially regarding countries affected by war, political tensions and difficult humanitarian situations, with particular attention to migrants, refugees, and prisoners.”

During the brief meeting between Vance and the pope, they exchanged Easter greetings, and Vance was given three large chocolate Easter eggs for his three children, a Vatican tie, and rosaries.

Vance reportedly told Pope Francis that was aware of his declining health and that he prayed for him.

In a post on X, Vance shared photos of himself and the pope along with the caption, “Today I met with the Holy Father Pope Francis. I am grateful for his invitation to meet, and I pray for his good health. Happy Easter!”

While the brief meeting ended well, it was Vance’s visit of the Sistine Chapel that sparked public outrage.

Namely, photographer Emily Higgins posted a photo of Vince and his family from inside the Sistine Chapel. It was captioned, “An epic shot of Vice President JD Vance and his son inside the Sistine Chapel. What an incredible way to spend Easter weekend.”

It wasn’t long before a number of people noted that “You do NOT take pictures in the Sistine Chapel. No respect.”

Someone commented, “To take photos in the Sistine Chapel is strictly forbidden! Every true Catholic knows this. This picture shows what’s wrong: Rules are only to be followed by others but not the American government – utterly despicable!”

Another person wrote, “Not allowed to take photos in the Sistine Chapel. Even in something so basic, they think the rules don’t apply to them.”

However, there were also those who defended JD Vance and his mistake during the Vatican visit.

“Wrong,” one person commented on the comments of Vance showing disrespect.

“Not only did the Vatican explicitly grant permission for the VP’s team to photograph their visit, the Vatican itself released video of their tour. They did the same for other official state visits including Michelle Obama’s visit in 2009,” the person commented.

The Vatican Museum explains that “it is permitted to take photographs, for personal and domestic use only, of the works in all areas of the Vatican Museums, apart from the Sistine Chapel. Flash photography is strictly forbidden.”

The warning continues, “In the Sistine Chapel it is forbidden to take photographs or films with any type of electronic equipment.”

Following Pope Francis’ passing, Vance expressed his condolences through a post on the social media.

“I just learned of the passing of Pope Francis. My heart goes out to the millions of Christians all over the world who loved him.

“I was happy to see him yesterday, though he was obviously very ill. But I’ll always remember him for the below homily he gave in the very early days of COVID. It was really quite beautiful. May God rest his soul.”

New data reveals public opinion on Trump running for a third term

The Constitution doesn’t allow a single person to serve as the president of the country for three times, but ever since taking office for the second time, Trump has been testing the idea of running for a third term.

“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once,” the Constitution states.

So far, Donald Trump has opened up about the idea of a third term a number of times.

However, not many believed he was serious – unless not until recently, when he clearly hinted there are ways for him to continue his presidency beyond 2028.

Recently, Congressman Andy Ogles introduced a House Joint Resolution that would amend the U.S. Constitution to allow a president to serve up to three terms, but no more.

“President Trump’s decisive leadership stands in stark contrast to the chaos, suffering, and economic decline Americans have endured over the past four years. He has proven himself to be the only figure in modern history capable of reversing our nation’s decay and restoring America to greatness, and he must be given the time necessary to accomplish that goal,” Ogles wrote on his website.

“To that end, I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution to revise the limitations imposed by the 22nd Amendment on presidential terms. This amendment would allow President Trump to serve three terms, ensuring that we can sustain the bold leadership our nation so desperately needs.”

While Ogles tends to change the law and Trump is looking for loopholes, the Pew Research Center reveals that only 40 percent of poll participants approve of Trump’s performance in office so far. This shows that the ratings have dropped by seven percent compared to February’s.

Asked about their opinion on Trump’s decision on imposing tariffs, 59 percent disapprove of the increase.

A separate poll by Reuters and Ipsos asked respondents if Trump should run for a third term.

“Three-quarters of respondents said Trump should not run for a third term in office — a path Trump has said he would like to pursue, though the U.S. Constitution bars him from doing so,” Reuters revealed.

“A majority of Republican respondents — 53% — said Trump should not seek a third term,” it added.

The holy items inside Pope Francis’ casket

Pope Francis “returned to the home of the Father,” and the news of his passing, mere hours after his final public appearance, sent waves of grief and sorrow through the Christian world.

On Sunday, he greeted crowds at the Easter Sunday Service and gave his ‘Urbi et Orbi’ benediction from a balcony facing the Piazza.

He addressed the crowds with the words, “Brothers and sisters, Happy Easter!”

Pope Francis led a very modest life, and he remained simple even in death.

His last wishes, including his resting place, break centuries of Vatican tradition.

By his own request, the pontiff will not be buried in the Vatican, but in the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.

In his will, he wrote, “I wish that my last earthly journey conclude precisely in this ancient Marian sanctuary where I went for prayer at the beginning and end of each Apostolic Journey to confidently entrust my intentions to the Immaculate Mother and thank Her for her docile and maternal care. I ask that my tomb be prepared in the niche of the side nave between the Pauline Chapel (Chapel of the Salus Populi Romani) and the Sforza Chapel of the aforementioned Papal Basilica as indicated in the enclosed attachment.”

He also wished that no inscriptions on the tomb mention his role as Pope.

“The tomb must be in the earth; simple, without particular decoration and with the only inscription: Franciscus. The expenses for the preparation of my burial will be covered by the sum of the benefactor that I have arranged, to be transferred to the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and of which I have provided appropriate instructions to Mons. Rolandas Makrickas, Extraordinary Commissioner of the Liberian Chapter,” Francis continued.

“May the Lord give the deserved reward to those who have loved me and will continue to pray for me. The suffering that has become present in the last part of my life I have offered to the Lord for peace in the world and brotherhood among peoples.”

On Wednesday, his body was moved to St Peter’s Basilica, where it will lie in state for three days ahead of his funeral on Saturday which is expected to be attended by hundreds of thousands of believers and world leaders.

The first image of Pope Francis lying in repose was shared on Tuesday by the Vatican.

He was seen in the open casket, dressed in red vestments and a rosary folded into his hands.

Also, several symbolic items are placed into his casket. The miter, Francis’ hat, the crozier, or pastoral staff, and a small bag of coins minted during his reign.

Along with these items, a legal document called a rogito, which records Pope Francis’ life, is also placed in the casket. A copy of it is kept in the Vatican’s archives.

His broken Fisherman’s Ring, which is ceremonially destroyed before burial to signify the end of a pope’s reign, is in the casket as well.

While most of the popes are buried in elaborate triple caskets made of cypress, lead, and oak, Pope Francis’ wish was his to be plain, made of simple wood lined with zinc.

Vatican confirmed Pope Francis’ funeral to be on April 26 at 10 AM local time in St. Peter’s Square.

Boy, 6, dies after showing symptom nearly all kids experience

The Menai-Davis family experienced an inexplicable loss when their 6-year-old son, Hugh, passed away in September 2021.

The boy was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer but fought bravely for six months and in May he got to ring the bell at the hospital where he had been receiving treatment after being declared cancer free.

Sadly, the cancer returned shortly after and nothing could be done to save his young life.

Hugh’s devastated parents, Frances and Ceri, have reflected on their son’s diagnosis and wanted to warn parents of the symptoms Hugh experienced before they learned he had rhabdomyosarcoma.

The first thing Hugh complained about was a swollen stomach. His parents took him to the hospital but were told he probably had a virus and that it wasn’t anything they should worry about.

However, Hugh’s condition didn’t get any better in the days to come. On the contrary, the swelling persisted and they could feel something more serious than a stomach bug was going on.

When they returned to the hospital for tests, they learned the news no parent wants to hear.

“Our lives changed forever. The consultant said, we think Hugh’s got cancer,” Frances told MailOnline.

Sadly, his condition declined at an alarming rate. His stomach was filled with fluid that pressed his lungs and caused him troubles breathing.

“My wife and I were in tears behind closed doors,” Frances explained.

“Fear is learned, so we didn’t want to show him any weakness. We never told him that he wouldn’t be alright.

“Hugh faced everything with innocence and ignorance and he was just amazing.

“He never moaned or complained, he just got on with it.”

Following a few rounds of chemo treatments, Hugh started feeling better. The family was convinced they were beating the cancer.

In the following months, Huge was getting in and out of hospital. Finally, in May, 2021, they were told Hugh was cancer free.

But their happiness didn’t last long, just three months later, the cancer returned and their boy passed away a few weeks later.

From what seemed like an innocent stomach pain and welling, to losing their child, Hugh’s mom and dad urge other parents to seek medical help immediately after they notice something isn’t right with their child.

“No one knows your child better than you and the majority of the time it is nothing to worry about, but from our experience it is worth the effort,” Hugh’s dad said.

Following Hugh’s passing, Ceri and Frances founded the charity It’s Never You that offers support for families with children living with cancer.

May Jimmy Kimmel be quitting TV?

Jimmy Kimmel has to be one of the most beloved TV faces.

Except for being the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live, he has been in the group of a selected few who have hosted the Oscars four times.

Although many thought that Kimmel would be once again taking the stage at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood as a host this year, that didn’t happen.

Speaking to Los Angeles Times while preparing for the 2024 Academy Awards and why he agreed to another go-round, Kimmel said, “I did not think I would ever do it again. I did two of them, and they went well — something crazy happened at one of them with a story I’ll have for the rest of my life. I know how much work goes into them, so I thought, ‘Yeah, I don’t necessarily want to do this ever again.’ ”

The Jimmy Kimmel Live had its premiere in 2003. At the time, he was a newbie but managed to make a name for himself as one of the best in the field, becoming America’s longest-running current late-night talk show host.

But is he considering walking away?

In fact, during an episode of “Strike Force Five,” the podcast he co-hosted with other late-night program hosts during the writers’ strike, Kimmel confessed he thought of quitting his show. However, it was the strike that reminded him how much he enjoyed hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“It’s hard to yearn for it when you’re doing it,” he told Los Angeles Times. “Wednesday night, I was very tired and I had all these scripts to go through — I had to revise and rewrite all these pitch ideas for the Oscars — and I was literally nodding off onto my computer. In those moments, I think, ‘I cannot wait until my contract is over.’ But then, I take the summer off or I go on strike, and you start going, ‘Yeah, I miss the fun stuff.’ ”

He then went on to say, “I think this is my final contract. I hate to even say it, because everyone’s laughing at me now — each time I think that, and then it turns out to be not the case. I still have a little more than two years left on my contract, and that seems pretty good. That seems like enough.”

Asked what future Jimmy looks like, the host answered, “He is very accomplished. He speaks Italian, he plays the harmonica beautifully.”

Kimmel added: “He is an expert fly-fisherman. He does all these different things that I know I’m not actually going to do. He’s drawn some graphic novels that were very well-received. He’s very busy — it’s funny, whenever I think of what I’m going to do when I stop working, it all involves more work.”

Dog’s barking at a funeral exposes an empty coffin

That morning felt heavier than any other. Ryan was returning home for his father’s funeral, the man who meant the world to him.

When he entered the church, he noticed his mother. She seemed older than the last time he had seen her. Her fragile figure broke his heart. “How could she continue her life without my father?” Ryan thought to himself.

Bella, his father’s dog ran towards Ryan, but she didn’t act as calm as usual. To Ryan’s surprise, Bella wouldn’t stop barking. She tried to climb on the coffin, and Ryan knew just how much she missed her owner.

He tried to calm her down, but Bella disobeyed – it was as though she wanted a closure by seeing Arnold one last time.

“Can you open the coffin?” Ryan asked. But he was told it wasn’t possible since his father died of some sort of a highly infectious virus and the lid was sealed.

In fact, Ryan hadn’t seen the documents by the medical examiner,but something felt odd. Where could his dad contract such an infection, he wondered.

Realizing how disturbed Bella was, he once again demanded the coffin to be opened, so they did – to Ryan’s shock, it was empty.

Arnold’s body was missing.

Everyone at the church was shocked and confused. His mother almost fainted on the church’s floor.

Bella could sense something wasn’t right, and she warned the family.

From that moment on, Ryan was determined to get to the bottom of the story.

He alerted the police, but they assured him that according to the coroner, the cause of death had been clearly documented and the remains had been properly processed.

But if that was true, then why was the coffin empty?

After a couple of days, Ryan received a call by his father’s lawyer. He told him that the family’s company was in trouble and that all the money was gone.

Nothing made sense. His dad was a man who always put his family first. He would never do them any harm, or at least Ryan thought so.

In the days to come, Ryan was looking for answers that he couldn’t find on his dad’s email where every message was deleted or in the company’s documents that suddenly vanished.

But then, he received a message from an unknown number. “Your dad had an affair with his secretary, Miss Peterson. Follow the figurine and you’ll learn the truth.”

Ryan recalled that the two figurines from his dad’s office were missing, but he didn’t think much about it at first. He also recalled that his father struggled to get the third figurine and complete the set for years. So maybe if he could trace the third figurine he could find the answer to the mystery surrounding his father’s “passing.”

After researching day and night, Ryan finally learned that the third figurine was in possession of a man named Mr. Frederick. Ryan didn’t waste time contacting the man, who asked $750,000 for the piece. It was way above the figurine’s worth, but Ryan needed to have it.

He contacted his father’s lawyer and said, “I need to liquidate some shares—$750,000 worth. The lawyer warned him that this move could cost him the controlling stake at the company, but Ryan was ready to learn the truth.

Once the figurine was his, he waited for the auction of artifacts to start and he listed it there, hoping it would catch the attention of someone who needed it badly.

When the day of the auction come, Ryan heard a familiar voice bidding. It was Arnold’s.

His father was very much alive, and Ryan couldn’t believe his eyes.

He stood from the chair and approached him. “Dad, how could you do this?” Ryan asked.

“Ryan, you tricked me,” his father shouted and ran towards the entrance. However, the detectives were there, waiting for him.

Arnold faked his own dead so that he could be with another woman. He shattered his family and now he was going to pay the price.
