Rescued bear cub tries standing on his hind legs to look bigger while meeting fawn friend

Those people who take care of rescue animals are the best. Not everyone would lend a helping hand to confused and rather scared creatures who can’t fend for themselves, but those who do make all the difference in this world.

Joel Rosenthal is the owner of the Point View Farm in West Virginia. What makes this man so special is that he always opens the doors to his home to animals in need. Besides the domestic animals he keeps, one cute bear cub and a baby deer are also residents of his property.

One would say it is quite hard to imagine two babies from such different species getting along, but on this farm, everything is possible.

Joel filmed the very first encounter between bear cub Boog and the little fawn. Needless to say, the video melted millions of hearts from all over the world, and all for the right reasons.

As Boog notices the fawn entering the place, he is scared to approach at first and hides behind the stair banister. At the same time, he simply can’t get his eyes off of the “strange creatures.” After gathering enough courage, Boog gets closer, but changes his mind instantly and hides again. The second time he gets near, he stands on his hind legs trying to look bigger. What a cutie he is.

It doesn’t take long before the two become friends. Boog even licks the tiny fawn trying to show his friendliness and happiness.

Kevin James lost over 80 lbs while training for a movie

The ability to make people laugh is one of the greatest traits a person can posses. I guess you either have it in you or not, and that is the reason why not every actor can be a comedian. Although many are perfectly able to pull off any role in pretty much any genre, comedy is a whole different universe.

One of the best comedians we know of is Kevin James. Ever since he landed the role of Doug, an average parcel delivery man with a smart-aleck personality, in the hit series The King of Queens, we all knew he was destined for great things in the film industry.

However, fame didn’t come to him on a silver plate. Before he got to do films, James worked as a stand-up comedian for around 10 years. He was doing gigs at the Long Island comedy club circuit and at the same time worked at an industrial supplier’s warehouse to make rent.

After he was offered his first solo gig at the East Side Comedy Club, his career took a turn for the better. He appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, as well as other late-night talk shows, and made great friends with the comedy icon Ray Romano. James made several appearances in the hit show Everybody Loves Raymond, and Romano knew he would make an awesome actor.

The King of Queens followed, and James was the lead star, although he didn’t really feel like one at the time.

I was definitely the weak link for sure as far as acting was concerned on the show,” he told Philly Voice. “Leah (Remini) and Jerry (Stiller) had done a crazy amount of things. Leah had done so much stuff. It was my first gig. I learned a lot through it.

“I remember thinking Ray (Romano) is going to suck on a sitcom. He’s not an actor. I remember as a standup he was fantastic. I love his stand-up. This guy is not an actor. He’s going to be horrible,” James added.

“I told him that I didn’t think he could do it. I didn’t think he had the ability to perform that way and I was so completely wrong. It was his unique style that was used from stand-up that made him so special in that show. I learned a lot from that, I really did. I just kind of watched his show, which came out two years before I did my show, I really went to school on that. He shocked everybody. It was clumsy in the beginning. He went his own way with it.”

For the role of Doug, James was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

Hitch, in which he starred opposite Will Smith, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Grown Ups, Zookeeper, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop followed. Needless to say, all these roles cemented James’ place in Hollywood.

In 2001, James met model and actress Steffiana de la Cruz. The two married in 2004 and have four children together. He’s not only an awesome actor but also a loving family man.

Ever since he started acting, James has been a rather big guy. He weighted 290 pounds at his heaviest and has always been chubby. However, that changed once he landed the role of the science teacher who turned to martial arts in hopes of saving the school budget, in the film Here Comes the Boom.

The role required from James to be fit, and once he put his mind to loosing weight and getting in shape, he transformed his body entirely. For the movie, James lost 80 pounds. However, that didn’t happen overnight but required a lot of practice, including running, doing push-ups and squats and eating healthier diet.

James reached his goal with the help of MMA trainer Ryan Parsons who pushed the actor to his limits.

“That’s the key to a successful workout for anyone,” Parsons told Men’s Health. “You have to know why you’re doing what you’re doing and have a goal in mind, or it’s just too easy to quit.”

“Kevin wanted to be treated like a fighter, so that’s what we did,” he added. “These guys didn’t care he was a movie star. They went at him. He actually knocked a guy out.”

James also practiced boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, and jiu jitsu skills. Once the movie aired, people couldn’t recognize him.

Well, staying in shape is as hard as losing weight, and James knows that best. Now that he gained some more pounds, he is planning on getting back to working out agian.

“I got into such good shape for the movie, for me — losing 80 pounds — so I was able to do all of those scenes in the ring without sustaining any injuries, he told Twin Cities. “But two days ago, now that I’m out of shape again, I threw my back out getting into a car. Throw me all over the place in the Octagon and I’m fine but get me to turn my head while I’m getting in a car and I go down.”

“I want to get back in shape, bad. I felt better, my clothes fit me, my mind was clearer,” James added. “But it’s a very difficult thing to sustain. I was working out all the time when I was getting ready for the movie.”

James’ transformation is an inspiration for as all. Determination and hard work always pay off and this incredible actor is a proof of that.

Grieving parents take their own lives after their son dies of brain cancer

The moment we welcome that tiny bundle of joy in the world, our lives change completely. They become our reason to live and laugh and even the thought of ever losing them terrifies us and breaks our hearts.

Sadly, life can be cruel at times, and saying the last goodbye to their child is an unbearable pain and struggle many parents go through.

Grieving mom and dad from Romania who lost their little son to brain cancer couldn’t put up with the pain and took their own lives. Their sad story touches us to the core. The lifeless bodies of the parents whose names were not revealed were found by a neighbor in their apartment in Constanta, Romania. After a case was opened, the prosecutor said it was a suicide.

The mom’s body was found next to her son’s, and the father’s was in the kitchen.

Before they took their own lives, the parents wrote a letter in which they described their life after their son was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. They spoke of the struggles, the stress, and the unbearable grief. Little Cristian’s mom wrote of her son’s exhausting fight with the disease on the blog she once ran.
“I felt like I was dying myself when I heard the diagnosis. I can’t express the pain that two parents feel when finding such terrible news about their child. He was only two years old.“
Christian’s condition got worse over time.
“Our only hope that Cristian is a lucky child and the tumour will stop growing is now shattered. The thought that every moment could be fatal, it drives me crazy.“
We are so sad that the little boy lost his life. We are equally sorry for the lives of his parents who did all in their power to help their boy but failed and that brought them to their own death.

Cassidy Gifford looks as stunning as her mom Kathie Lee

When it comes to Kathie Lee Gifford and her daughter Cassidy, it’s safe to say that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Kathie is definitely one of the most gracious women there is. Despite her age, she looks stunning and her beauty takes our breath away.

From the moment she appeared on TV as a host, she gained a celebrity status.

Shutterstock

Kathie was married to the love of her life, Frank Gifford, American football player, actor, and television sports commentator, for 29 years and she fell in love with him the moment they first met. ”It was love at first sight when I saw Frank Gifford (and his buns)” she told Today.

Sadly, Frank passed away five years ago and Katie was left heartbroken. She had a hard time coping with the loss, but her children have always been by her side and helped her overcome the pain. Recently, our favorite host said she started dating again.

When Kathie and Frank married, he had three children from a previous marriage but they both wanted more kids. In 1990, they welcomed son Cody in their lives. Two years later, Kathie suffered a miscarriage and it was something that touched her forever.

“Frank and I were planning our second baby to be to come … this fall … this spring … I just wanted to tell everybody myself,” Kathie shared during an episode of Live with Regis and Kathie Lee in August 1992. “Until you experience [a miscarriage] yourself, you really don’t understand the heartbreak of it.”

In 1993, Cassidy was born. She is as gorgeous as her mother and is working as a model and an actress. She’s best known for the movies God’s Not DeadTime Trap, and The Gallows.

Both Kathie’s children are happily married and very close to their mother.

Cody married his high school sweetheart Erika this year and Cassidy married the love of her life Ben Wierda whom she has known since she was 11 and he was 14. Kathie is very proud of her children and announced both their engagements and weddings on her Instagram account. “So thrilled to announce that my beautiful daughter, @cassidygiff, is engaged to a wonderful man, Ben @letsgetwierda,” Kathie wrote alongside a photo of her daughter and her then-fiancé at the time. “I am beyond the moon and stars. Thank you, LORD!”

Everyone agrees that Cassidy resembles her mom a lot, and she even proved that once again with a hilarious photo of her and Kathie side by side with a black top, big sunglasses, and a big straw hat and wrote, ”Quarantine is turning me into my mother.”

We are very happy Kathie Lee Gifford is doing strong and is very happy with her life.

Doctor drops newborn preemie on the floor, casually tells mom she’ll have more

I guess most of you know the feeling of hesitation when someone offers you to hold their newborn baby. No matter how much the little souls make us happy and remind us of the innocent times of our own life, or how much we want to embrace them and hold them tight, we know they are very fragile and we somehow don’t feel comfortable carrying them in our arms.

So, we often admire the ease with which medical staff hold the newborns. However, despite their experience, they too should be extra cautious when handling little babies in order to avoid tragedies such as that of baby Ian. His mom is sharing his story with the rest of us through Love What Matters.

Kristal Amezquita couldn’t wait to meet her bundle of joy. She never assumed that the moment she was desperately waiting for would never arrive because of a doctor’s negligence, especially because her pregnancy was a healthy one up until the moment things somehow turned for the worse.

At 21 weeks, Kristal started experiencing severe pain in her stomach and visited the Emergency room where she was given some very disturbing news.

Speaking to Love What Matters, Kristal said, “He told me the membranes of the water bag were protruding and I was already leaking water (technically already in labor—the pain I was experiencing were contractions), the water Ian needed to survive was coming out. He said my cervix had opened up and the placenta had come into contact with the vaginal canal causing an infection. I was on the verge of fighting an infection and I had two options at this point.”

“One — Expedite my pregnancy or Two — Let my body take its course. WHAT. THE. HECK. I was heartbroken, my heart was aching, my world was shattered. How did I go from being so excited to turn 21 weeks and see my baby growing in my belly to knowing I would not leave the hospital with him?”

She thought it would be for the best if she let it all happen naturally without rushing things and give her son a fighting chance.

“I had the catheter put in and about less than half an hour later I was in feeling so uncomfortable, I was in pain and my heart was broken. I called for the nurse because I told her I wanted the catheter out, I could feel it, but she said I had the epidural so I shouldn’t be feeling anything. While she and the OB were checking on me, my water broke. THAT IS WHEN I COMPLETELY LOST IT. I knew this was really happening, I was really losing my baby.”

Soon enough, Kristal was told to push as her baby was getting out. And just moments later, Ian was born.

The doctor asked Kristal whether she wanted to hold him but she was still trying to deliver the placenta at the time.

What happened next left Kristal in complete shock. Her life was changed forever and she just couldn’t believe what had unfolded right in front of her eyes.

Baby Ian was dropped on the floor by the OB who delivered him, and their words were “It’s okay, you’re young, you’ll have more, YOU are okay.”

“My mom said she felt like he was going to be thrown away with all the trash – the way the OB handled Ian. Since Ian was so tiny, he kind of slid right out and they failed to catch him,” Kristal said.

No matter how tiny he was, Ian will never be forgotten.

We are sorry for the family’s loss and for what they had to go through.

Viral video shows pilot dedicating his last flight to 13 US Service Members killed in Afghanistan

The suicide bombing which took place at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, on 26 August 2021, days prior to America’s withdrawal from the country, left the entire nation mourning for the loss of the 13 soldiers who died in the attack. 160 Afghan people were killed as well.

Today, a month after the tragedy took place, American people are still grieving the heroes and each and every one of us is paying their tributes the best we can. And although no words can ever comfort the families of the fallen troopers, at least they all know that we will never forget that their loved ones died heroes who sacrificed it all for their country.

Recently, a video of a pilot dedicating what is described as his last flight to the 13 fallen soldiers emerged online. It was posted by Facebook user Ryan Fournier, the founder of Students for Trump, but it is believed that it was initially uploaded on TikTok by @roballnic1.

Some doubt the credibility of the video because there isn’t any information about the person who took it, who the pilot is or when it was taken. However, many say that the lack of details doesn’t make it fake.

At the beginning of the video, the pilot could be heard saying, “We’re heading down to Houston, it should take us two hours and 27 minutes. The weather’s good, weather’s good, the ride should be good.”

As he’s speaking, he’s holding a tablet showing photos of the soldiers who lost their lives in the Kabul bombing.

“I’ve got six more days left here at Southwest Airlines, I have to retire because I’m 65 years old,” he continues. “I’ll keep flying. And every time I fly now, I want to dedicate our flight and my trip to the 13 senseless losses of soldiers, sailors, Marines.”

“Men and women. My brother Marines, my sister Marines.

“Everybody, just remember them,” he adds. “And I don’t care who you hated or who you liked in the last election. What happened was just wrong.”

He ends his speech saying, “We’ll get going. Smiles, everybody. And … remember the 13.”

It’s not clear why the pilot announces his retirement to the passengers and later adds that he’ll continue flying.

However, no matter what happens with his career, we are thankful for the tribute he paid to our heroes.

Thousands of high school students across America unite in prayer

During these hard times for the humanity, with the ongoing pandemic which claimed many lives and left millions to struggle make ends meet as businesses close down, as well as with the most recent killings of U.S. troops in Afghanistan, it seems that we all need to get closer to God through prayer.

Thousands of students from schools nationwide and beyond gathered together before the morning classes on Wednesday to pray in unison for the annual “See You at the Pole” event which first took place 21 years ago.

This year’s theme was: Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. – James 4:10.

Many of the students spoke of the reasons why they joined the event. Freshman Faith Eilertson from Croatan High School in North Carolina said: “There is just so much going on in our country and in our leaders. It’s so important that we pray for our country. The leaders need wisdom because they are facing so many situations.”

Another student, freshman Brody Weihrauch, spoke of the importance of the prayer. “We need to gather around and pray because this country has done so much for us. I’m praying for the students and the country. I’m praying for our military because of Afghanistan,” he said.

Other schools whose students joined the prayer are Shelby Valley High School in Pikeville, Kentucky, and Tyler Legacy High school in Tyler, Texas, among the many.

Students attending these schools, including Collier Fuller, a sophomore, told WYMT-TV: “It makes me feel like I have a connection to everybody in this room, or everybody in the circle while I’m praying.”

Freshman Lillian spoke to KLTV-TV and explained that it helps him and the rest of his classmates to put God into their hearts and the school system.

Student-athletes at Copperas Cove High School in Copperas Cove, Texas, were given a break from football practice so that they could be part of the annual event which brings everyone closer to one another.

“It makes me feel a lot closer to them, to be honest,” football player Aleczander Patterson said as reported by Killeen Daily Herald. “I know a lot of them probably have struggles in their life that probably they need to ask God for … it just means a lot to see them open up like that and show who they are.”

Another football player at the school, Caleb Newberry, added that “See You at the Pole” is an opportunity to spread God’s word and the message of Christ.

This truly is a nice way of uniting the students in their faith and spreading a message of love.

Teacher writes “absolutely pathetic” and “sad” on the math test of a 7-year-old

Teachers are not always given the amount of praise they deserve for everything they do for the children. Being one is a privilege, although not everyone who is involved in the educational processes is able to inspire little minds to achieve the best of their abilities.

Kamdyn Piland is a 7-year-old boy who was sort of shamed by his teacher for not performing well on the math test.

Namely, she has written on his paper that “he answered 13 in 3 minutes” which she found “sad” and “absolutely pathetic.” Yes, these words are exactly what she put down on Kamdyn’s paper along with a sad face.

Fox56

When his father Chris saw the test, he was outraged. He couldn’t possibly understand how those words would encourage his son to be better the next time. Reading that his work was described as pathetic only affected the boy’s self-confidence in a negative way. When Chris confronted the teacher in question, all she had to say was, “I’m sorry you feel this way.”

As neither the teacher nor the school believed injustice towards Kamdyn had been done, Chris took to Facebook to share his son’s test, writing, “My son Kamdyn’s teacher has been so rude to him and myself all year he comes home with this and I am beyond frustrated that someone would write this on a child’s work such great motivation.”

Speaking to Fox56 News, sweet Kamdyn said, “She made me really sad and upset. I was really mad. And (it was) really mean to do.”

People were shocked to see how the teacher discouraged Kamdyn so they started a petition asking for her to be fired from the job. It has been signed by over 20,000 people. Others, however, say that although they don’t approve of what she did, losing her job over the test comment was a bit much.

Since the incident took place, Chris decided to take Kamdyn out of her class and didn’t know how and if the school had done something regarding the issue.

“Maybe it’ll be taken seriously now and it’ll keep it from happening to other teachers and other students,” Chris Fox56 News.

We are convinced that with the right amount of support and encouragement by Kamdyn’s new teacher, he will thrive and will get better and better with each passing day.
