The love story of Hollywood heartthrob Pierce Brosnan and his wife of over two decades, Keely Smith, is yet another reminder that celebrity people do stay together and their marriages do last.
Brosnan loves reminding Keely what she means to him.
The couple say the secret to their marriage and everlasting love is that no matter how hectic his work schedule is or how much she’s busy, they always find way to spend quality one-on-one time together.
The actor has fallen for Kelly from the moment he laid eyes on her at a Mexican bar in 1992. They started dating two years later and tied the knot after seven years. He knew something was different about her. In an interview with The Independent, the former James Bond star revealed why he was drawn to Keely in the first place.
“I love her vitality, her passion. She has this strength that I wouldn’t be able to live without. When Keely looks at me, I go weak.”
On September 25, Kelly celebrated her 60th birthday and Brosnan presented her with a gift that made fans gush of his devotion to her.
“Sixty roses for my brown eyed girl on her 60th birthday,” he captioned a photo of the couple standing in front of a gorgeous bouquet of roses.
“Forever happy and blessed was I to be sitting there when you walked around the corner early one morning in Cabo San Lucas @keelyshayebrosnan,” he added.
For their 22nd wedding anniversary, Keely shared a number of images from their Irish wedding ceremony on social media.
“Happy Anniversary @piercebrosnanofficial. Thank you for always being up for this adventure called life,” she wrote.
Brosnan was first married to Australian actress Casandra Harris who tragically died of ovarian cancer back in 1991. Sadly, his daughter would lose her life due to the same illness. The Mrs. Doubtfire star had one child with her, but adopted her children from her previous marriage after the kids’ dad died. They took his surname. He has two sons with Keely, Dylan and Paris.

Former Charmed star Rose McGowan, who is known for speaking her mind and for her bravery to stand up for herself, caused a stir with a tweet about Oprah Winfrey accusing her of being fake and a liar.
According to McGowan, the former host faked her support for the #MeToo movement.
“I am glad more are seeing the ugly truth of @Oprah,” McGowan tweeted along with an old photo of the talk show host smiling alongside convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein. “I wish she were real, but she isn’t.”
The tweet continued: “From being pals with Weinstein to abandoning & destroying Russell Simmon’s [sic] victims, she is about supporting a sick power structure for personal gain, she is as fake as they come. #lizard.”
This came after Oprah stepped down from the role of an executive producer of Russell Simmons’ #MeToo documentary. Simmons, a hip-hop music mogul, has been accused of more than a dozen cases of sexual assault or misconduct since November 2017.
At the time, Oprah revealed that the reason behind her decision was that “More work needs to be done on the film to clarify the full extent of what the victims endured, and it became clear that the filmmakers and I were not united in that creative vision.”
She told The Hollywood Reporter that she supported the women who endured sexual assault, adding that their stories need to be told and heard.
Speaking of Weinstein, whose long list of alleged sexual assaults dating back to the 1970s was the catalyst for the #MeToo movement in October 2017, Oprah said she was previously friendly with him. The host further added that she “didn’t know any of this was going on,” referring of Weinstein’s behavior.
“Everybody has a story, so I believe this is a turning point. We’re going to miss this opportunity if we only make it about Harvey Weinstein,” Oprah explained.
McGowan also tweeted that she has “a message to the evil creeps in all industries, all nations. We, the people, have a message for you.” She then linked Lily Allen’s 2009 song “Fuck You.”
The actress is among those who accused Weinstein of rape.

Albert Einstein has been quoted to have said, “Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” Whether it is true that this saying is of this renowned German physicist or not, we can all relate to the truth it holds.
The following situations are just the perfect proof of that. We hope you’ll have a good laugh.
1: My husband and I went through the McDonald’s driveway window and I gave the cashier a $5 bill.
Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her 25c.
She said, ‘You gave me too much money.’
I said, ‘Yes I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar back.’
She sighed and went to get the manager who asked me to repeat my request.
I did so, and he handed me back the 25c, and said ‘We’re sorry but we don’t do that kind of thing.’
The cashier then proceeded to give me back 75 cents in change.

2: We had to have the garage door repaired.
The repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a ‘large’ enough motor on the opener.
I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower.
He shook his head and said, ‘You need a 1/4 horsepower.’
I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4 and he said, ‘NOOO, it’s not. Four is larger than two.’
We haven’t used that repairman since…
3: I live in a semi-rural area.
We recently had a new neighbor call the local city council office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road.
The reason: ‘Too many deer are being hit by cars out here! I don’t think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.’
4: IDIOT SIGHTING IN FOOD SERVICE.
My daughter went to a Mexican fast-food place and ordered a taco.
She asked the person behind the counter for ‘minimal lettuce.’
He said he was sorry, but they only had iceberg lettuce
5: I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked,
‘Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?’
To which I replied, ‘If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?’
He smiled knowingly and nodded, ‘That’s why we ask.’
6: The pedestrian light on the corner beeps when it’s safe to cross the street.
I was crossing with an ‘intellectually challenged’ co-worker of mine.
She asked if I knew what the beeper was for.
I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red.
Appalled, she responded, ‘What on earth are blind people doing driving?!’
She is a government employee…..
7: When my wife and I arrived at a car dealership to pick up our car after a service, we were told the keys had been locked in it.
We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver’s side door.
As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked.
‘Hey,’ I announced to the technician, ‘it’s open!’
His reply was, ‘I know. I already did that side.’

Although superstitions are often connected to pagan beliefs and religious practices that existed many years ago, there are still plenty of people out there who are superstitious even nowadays, just like the dad from the following joke.

As he felt safe at work, he didn’t go home once his working hours were over but decided to stay at the office until midnight. He had a couple of cups of coffee as he didn’t want to fall asleep either.
When midnight finally arrived, he felt a sense of relief and headed home.
When he got home his wife said, “I’ve never seen you work so late. What’s the matter?” He said, “I don’t want to talk about it, I just had the worst day of my life.” She said, “You think you had a bad day? You’ll never believe what happened to me. This morning the mailman dropped dead on our porch!”

There is something about old people that make us think about life and the things we are to achieve until we reach that ‘old’ age. For one, elderly people are wise and full of knowledge, and secondly, they are often hilarious, so it’s not surprising there are plenty of jokes about them.
This one is about to make your day.
An elderly couple entered a restaurant and ordered a single meal which consisted of a hamburger, french fries, and a single drink.
When the meal arrived, the man cut the hamburger in half and placed one part of it in front of his wife. He then did the same with the french fries and placed the drink in between. They both took sips one by one.
While the man had his piece of the hamburger, his wife was just sitting there watching him eat.
A man who noticed them decided to approach them and offered to buy them another meal, but the elderly man said, “No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything.”
As he continued eating, his wife was patiently waiting and was taking sips every now and then.
The man who was at the restaurant approached them once again and offered to at least buy them another drink.
The elderly man refused once again saying that he and his wife share everything.
Finally, when the husband finished eating and wiped his mouth, the man who was observing them approached them for the third time because he couldn’t help but learn why the woman was waiting for her husband to eat.
He got closer and asked her: “What is that you are waiting for?”
The wife replied, “The TEETH.”

When they get there, St. Peter greets them and tells them, “We only have one rule here in heaven. Don’t step on the ducks.”
So, they enter heaven and sure enough, there are ducks all over the place.
It’s almost impossible not to step on a duck because there are so many, and though they try their utmost to avoid standing on them, the first guy soon accidentally steps on one.
St. Peter then appears with the ugliest woman the guy had ever seen.
St. Peter chains the woman to the guy and says to him, “Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this ugly woman!”
The next day, the second guy also accidentally steps on a duck. Once again, St. Peter shows up and with him is another extremely ugly woman. He chains the woman to the second guy saying, “Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this ugly woman!”
The third guy has observed all this and as he really doesn’t want to be chained to an ugly woman for eternity, he’s extremely careful where he steps.
Indeed, he manages to go months without stepping on any ducks. One day though, St.Peter appears with the most gorgeous woman the guy has ever laid eyes on. She’s tall, curvaceous, tanned and extremely sexy.
Without a word, St. Peter chains the woman to the third guy.
The guy happily says to the woman, “I wonder what I did to deserve being chained to you for all eternity?”
The woman replies, “I don’t know about you, but I stepped on a duck.

Buying a new home is a big deal. When we own our own piece of heaven, we get to experience freedom.
When a man purchased a new place, he was excited to take a closer look around. What he didn’t expect, however, was to find a secret passage to an underground man’s cave.
The place used to be an English monastery from the 19th century that was later renovated and divided into 30 apartments. The one this man bought seemed relatively cheap for the price, and he got a bonus place.
This is what the tiny studio looks like.
Being built long time ago, the place has very high ceiling, like the ones they had centuries ago.
The high ceiling also allows the bed to be positioned at an unusual place.
The first floor includes a small bathroom.
In front of the bathroom door, there is a handle on the floor that leads to the secret place.
At first, it looks like an extra storage.
Or maybe like stairs to heaven…or hell?
After exploring further, it has been revealed that the space is pretty big and that its rooms under those of other owners and tenants.
Writings on one of the walls reveal that someone had visited the place over the last years.
The last room, out of many, has a high ceiling.
A hole in the middle of the floor make us believe that something has been unearthed recently.
We truly hope this man will get to keep both apartments for himself. If that’s the case, it’s awesome that he gets two spaces for the price of one.

David McCallum became a star by playing Soviet agent Illya Kuryakin in the 1960s spy drama The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
More recently, the Scottish-born actor was known for his long-running role as a medical examiner on hit TV show NCIS.
Sadly, McCallum passed away on September 25, 2023.
“David was a gifted actor and author, and beloved by many around the world,” the NCIS tribute said.
“He led an incredible life, and his legacy will forever live on through his family and the countless hours on film and television that will never go away.”
His family also payed tribute to the late actor.
“He was the kindest, coolest, most patient and loving father. He always put family before self. He looked forward to any chance to connect with his grandchildren, and had a unique bond with each of them,” his son, Peter McCallum, shared in a statement on behalf of the family. “He and his youngest grandson, Whit, 9, could often be found in the corner of a room at family parties having deep philosophical conversations.

“He was a true renaissance man—he was fascinated by science and culture and would turn those passions into knowledge,” the statement continued. “For example, he was capable of conducting a symphony orchestra and (if needed) could actually perform an autopsy, based on his decades-long studies for his role on NCIS.
“After returning from the hospital to their apartment, I asked my mother if she was OK before she went to sleep. Her answer was simply, ‘Yes. But I do wish we had had a chance to grow old together.’ She is 79, and dad just turned 90. The honesty in that emotion shows how vibrant their beautiful relationship and daily lives were and that somehow, even at 90, Daddy never grew old.”
With his parents being professional musicians, his dad, David Sr., worked as an orchestral violinist for the London Philharmonic Orchestra, his mother, Dorothy, as a cellist, everyone assumed McCallum would choose the same career path. Well, it’s not that he didn’t, because besides being a famous name in the film industry, he’s also a musician who released four albums with Capitol Records during the mid 60’s.
Speaking of his love for music, McCallum once said, “I always knew that I could turn to music if I failed as an actor.”

Acting, however, became his passion the moment he stepped on stage for the first time.
“I played The Little Prince in Shakespeare’s King John, at one of those local things where people do skits and songs. Mine was the little prince having his eyes put out by this terrible man, and I acted it, evidently, very well, because I got a standing ovation. I wasn’t more than eight,” he recalled.
“And I said: ‘Hey, hey, hey, this is kinda cool!’ I don’t know if I consciously thought it, but I had found the place I wanted to be: on a stage, with the lights and make-up and the people. I’m exactly the same to this day; the feeling has never left.”
Initially, he attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, but left it for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

One of the actors McCallum played alongside while on NCIS was Cote de Pablo.
Between 2005 and 2013, Cote de Pablo starred in 189 episodes of NCIS. She made short comebacks in both 2019 and 2020. However, she never returned as a constant cast member.
When she decided to leave the show towards the end of the 11th season, both her co-stars and her fans were surprised by her decision.
“It was not an easy decision, not one taken lightly,” she told Latina then. “I feel like I am leaving my family. What I want to say most of all is thank you to the fans and to the people who have been so supportive of me and of the show, who have made the show the great success that it is.”

When McCallum heard the news, he was left frustrated.
Speaking to Digital Spy, he explained that writers had to rewrite several episodes of the show and that he was angry.
“It was frustration and anger that someone should just walk out on us,” McCallum said.
“I just don’t understand how a leading lady in a show that’s worldwide, who ostensibly wants to have a career as an actress, suddenly walks away from such a gem and just vanishes a couple of days before we start production.
“This business is merciless so right away the whole team of writers gets in and rewrites the first five shows,” he added. “When it happened, you think, ‘This is a dangerous road to go down’ – but they pulled it off.”
It was back in 2016, that McCallum decided to speak of the possible reasons why Cote de Pablo left the show.
It was during an AMA (Ask Me Anything) thread on the popular social media platform Reddit that he was asked whether he was aware of why she left NCIS.
McCallum was quick to answer.
“At the time I was astonished when Cote left. But in retrospect, it seems that she was not up to handling the demands that the character put upon her,” he responded, as reported by Express.
He then added: “I still don’t understand her deeper motives.”

Weeks after McCallum spoke of Cote de Pablo, she spoke to Vanity Fair and shared her part of the story.
“Look, I love this character. I worked eight years crafting this character and loving her. And so when I felt or I perceived that the character was not being treated with the respect that she deserved, no money in the world [would make me stay],” she shared with the magazine.
“They were going to send her back to Israel and make her an unfortunate, miserable woman,” the actress continued. “I said, ‘What do I leave all the women that have watched and followed the show for so long?’ And I didn’t think it was fair. So I said, ‘Unless someone can really write something fantastic for her, I won’t go back.’”
