The medical case that stunned the world

Becoming parents is what most couples dream of so when they learn they are expecting, they are overjoyed and looking forward to the new chapter in their lives.

Jocelyn and Ignacio Robertson, a couple from North America, were about to become parents for the first time. Jocelyn fell pregnant shortly after tying the knot.

The pregnancy went well and each ultrasound showed the baby was developing the way it should. But then, just days before she was supposed to give birth, Jocelyn noticed she was bleeding.

As she got concerned for the baby, she called her husband and asked him to get home as soon as possible. He rushed her to the hospital, but there, they received shocking news. The baby’s heartbeat wasn’t present. As they couldn’t believe what they heard, they asked for a second opinion but the outcome was the same. The baby died in the womb in the ninth month of pregnancy.

Jocelyn was then forced to undergo a C-section.

She was devastated and had a hard time accepting the reality.

But then, something extraordinary happened. Something doctors dubbed a miracle.

Once the baby was out, they could hear he was breathing. In a matter of minutes, the little one was transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit where his breathing and heartbeats improved even further.

When they first held it in their arms, the proud parents said, “We just became aware of it at that time. It is a miracle that Noah is here, and I will be eternally grateful.”

Just days later, he was able to be taken home by his mom and dad.

At age 78, the legendary actor made a transformation that fans found ‘tasteless’

0

Actor Michael Douglas shared a video on Instagram in which he wished his fans a good week, but what they couldn’t help but notice is his bold new look.

Michael’s long hair, which is dyed in a shade of ginger color, raised a few eyebrows and people’s opinions of whether the change suits him right or not are divided.

The Fatal Attraction star, 78, didn’t address the change in appearance but as many fans reminded him that he’s their favorite actor, others questioned his choices.

“Sorry Michael, the hair makes you look older not to mention the wrinkles. Go dye your hair back to grey and get a haircut,” one person wrote. “Your dyed red hair looks hideous. You look good with grey hair. Hope the dyed hair was for a movie or t.v. role you’re filming,” another added.

“Men – go figure. MD has wonderful hair for a guy his age, and looked handsome naturally silver – you do not look younger MD with ginger hair, simply odd? That said, your head, your hair, your weird color scheme,” a third commented.

There were also those who said they loved Michael’s new look.

Recently, Michael and his better half, gorgeous actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, celebrated their birthdays, 78 and 53 respectively. The pair shares same birth date. They celebrated with a huge chocolate cake and both of them posted photos of the joyous occasion.

“Thank you all for the kind birthday messages! We love you all,” Michael captioned the photo, to which his wife replied: “So much fun sharing my birthday with you.”

Catherine wished her husband a happy birthday with a gorgeous photo of the two and reminded him how much she loves him.

Caroline Kennedy and her husband of 36 years, Edwin Schlossberg, have raised three wonderful children

0

The Kennedys are without a doubt one of the most famous American families ever. When John Kennedy became the president of the country, people felt a pleasant change. He was loved by millions and appreciated by even more. His presidency was referred to as the “Camelot Presidency,” because it brought hope to many young politicians.

His wife, Jackie Kennedy became a national treasure. She was a supremely stylish and eloquent young woman who spread optimism when she took the role of FLOTUS.

Since they had toddlers, Jackie went on a mission to restore and preserve the White House as well as turn it into more children-friendly place with a tree-house and swings.

Once her work on the White House was done, she gave a tour of the place broadcast by CBS and watched by over 80 million people. For her work, Jackie won herself an honorary Emmy Award.

When John became a president, his daughter Caroline was just four years old. The Kennedys had three children together, with their son Patrick Bouvier passing at just two days old.

Speaking of the time her father was the President, Caroline recalled how she would go to his office every morning where she was “making construction paper necklaces, eating candy, and running around his desk.”

This girl’s world turned upside down one tragic November day of 1963 when her father was shot and killed.

The entire country mourned the loss of their beloved president and Jackie was left to raise her children all by herself while her family remained the center of attention.

In order to provide some privacy for Caroline and John F. Kennedy Jr., Jackie moved to Georgetown and later to New York City.

“She was absolutely protective of us,” Caroline told The Boston Globe when speaking of her mother, adding that Jackie’s kids were “the most important thing to her.”

Caroline started school and then attended Radcliffe College, which is now part of Harvard, for her undergraduate studies. She got interested in photography and went on to intern at the New York Daily News. At the same time, she worked as apolitical intern for her uncle, U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy, during the summers.

When she started her internship at the magazine, no one saw her as Caroline but as the daughter of the late president and people were in a way intimidated by her.

Sadly, no matter how much she enjoyed being a photographer, she was forced to quit because “she could never make her living observing other people because they were too busy watching her.”

Caroline earned her bachelor’s degree in 1988 and started working at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. At the same time, she was appointed president of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial support, creative resources, and staffing to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.

She served as a member of the national board of directors for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and as chief executive for the New York City Department of Education Office of Strategic Partnerships, among the rest.

Her role in politics became bigger and bigger. Allegedly, when Hillary Clinton ran for President, Caroline was in the race for her spot in the Senate, but later withdrew because of reasons unknown.

In 2013, Caroline was appointed U.S. ambassador to Japan, a position she held until 2017. She was appointed the United States Ambassador to Australia in May 2022.

Speaking of her father and the role he played in the American history, Caroline told CNN, “He is a historical figure.

“I miss him every day of my life. But, growing up without him was made easier thanks to all of the people who kept him in their hearts.”

When it comes to her personal life, Caroline tends to keep it private, if that’s even possible.

She has been married to husband Edwin Schlossberg since 1963. Schlossberg has served as part of the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, after being appointed by former President Barack Obama. He has written 11 books and has a Ph.D. in Science and Literature from Columbia University. One thing we know about him is that he doesn’t want to be under the spotlight.

“Publicity doesn’t interest me,” he told Chicago Tribune. “The thing that interests me is work. We’re living in a culture that if you spend a lot of time thinking about what other people think about you, it distracts you from what you care about. I like what I do, and that’s what interests me.”

The couple raised three children together, Rose, and actress, Tatiana, an environmental journalist, and Jack, who is a lawyer and graduate of Harvard Law and Harvard Business School.

Recently, Caroline and Edwin became grandparents.

Caroline Kennedy does all in her power to keep her father’s legacy alive. His loss had a huge impact on her life and forced her to go through grief and drama throughout the years, but she is very successful at what she does and leads a beautiful life.

Ron Howard wept when his mother was cast in a role years after she had given up career because of her children

0

Actor Ron Howard made his screen debut at the age of just four and soon became a much loved face. Thanks to his charm and talent, he stole the hearts of many and became a fun favorite child actor. Playing the role of little Opie Taylor on The Andy Griffith Show opened the doors to the world of showbiz for Howard and we are happy he hasn’t left Hollywood ever since. Howard had already had a successful career when he landed the role of Richie Cunningham on Happy Days, and was given a prominent part in the coming-of-age film American Graffiti. However, after these successful movies, he realized his place was behind the camera.

Today, Howard is a prominent director, producer, and screenwriter with numerous awards under his belt.

He is the recipient of two Academy Awards, for A Beautiful Mind and Apollo 13, four Emmys, a Grammy, and two Golden Globes among the rest. Howard has been nominated for seven BAFTA Awards and received the National Medal of Arts in 2001. His contribution to the television and motion picture industries has been rewarded with two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

He and his brother Clint, a successful actor, were brought up by parents Rance Howard and Jean Speegle, who were entertainers themselves.

The brothers followed into their parents’ footsteps and say it was them who had much influence on their choice of career.

Speaking of their childhood in the book The Boys: A Memoir of Hollywood and Family, Ron and Clint recalled how their parents kept them grounded, and despite having plenty of money, the family never really led lavish lives. Instead, they were taught to live by strong moral values where the material things weren’t that important. Growing up in Hollywood wasn’t easy, but Rance Howard was always there to protect his sons. He knew that being a child star could come with a price so he made sure his boys were not changed by the fame they experienced with The Andy Griffith Show and looked after their mental health.

Rance and Jean met when they both got hired by a children’s theater touring company. During a tour in Kentucky, they decided to marry. After a year, they left the theater company and focused on their family and raising their children.

Once the boys were welcomed into the world, Jean continued with her acting career, but she then decided to quit in order to be able to take care of her sons.

Some thirty years into retirement, Jean felt the urge to act again. Her comeback was described by her son Ron Howard as the “new old woman on the comedy block.”

As he was setting to direct Apollo 13, which became a massive hit, earning 29 awards, two of which were Academy Awards, Ron’s father asked him to cast his mother in the film.

Ron agreed and auditioned his mother at her home instead at the studio. The moment she started acting was one of the most emotional in Ron’s life.

He was proud of his mother’s acting skills and was glad she could return to her acting career after almost 30 years.

Jean Howard passed away in 2000, at the age of 73, due to heart and respiratory problems. Rance Howard passed away in 2017 at the age of 89.

The brothers had a hard time coping with their parents’ loss so they decided to commemorate their mother and father’s memories with their book “The Boys: A Memoir of Hollywood and Family,” something that helped them accept the reality.

Ron and Clint are both very good people who live normal lives, just like their parents’ taught them.

After all these years, singer Faith Hill makes the decision to be honest

0

It’s not often that we hear of famous people staying together in marriage for many years, but when we do, we are glad they are sharing a positive example and assure us that not everything in the world of celebrities is about gathering attention and being in the spotlight.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are one of the most beautiful celeb couples we know. They have been married for 24 years now and have three stunning daughters who are now all grown up and resemble their stunning mother a lot.

Hill has been part of the music industry since 1993 and is one of the most financially successful country music performers who has ever lived. She has sold over 40 million records worldwide.

In recent years, however, the singer seems to be experiencing health issues which affect her voice. Sources close to the family say she’s fearing she’s having throat cancer as she loses her voice every now and then.

“Even though doctors calmed her cancer fears last year, Faith’s still terrified!” according to Radar Online.

“She has trouble keeping weight on, her voice comes and goes, and she gets sore throats repeatedly. She and Tim are praying for the best while preparing for the worst.”

Close friends believe that Hill has in fact been battling throat cancer, but these claims remain just rumors as the singer herself never spoke of her health condition openly.

People magazine reported that Hill has undergone a neck surgery in order to fix an old injury.

She and her husband postponed a show recently as doctors advised Hill to take some days off.

Just a few days prior to the cancellation notification, the couple played in Sacramento, California, and according to a number of concertgoers, she appeared to be in good health at the time. “I live for performances like this one,” one person tweeted.

Hill is a five-time Grammy award winner.

We truly hope nothing serious is going on when it comes to Faith Hill’s health.

Dolly Parton says she will no longer be touring so she could spend time at home with her husband

0

Dolly Parton isn’t just a blond bombshell whose incredible looks mesmerized millions over the years, but also a strong woman with an incredible personality with a sense of humor and a big heart who has always spoken openly about everything in her life. And that is one of the reasons why her career spans that many years.

This country music legend who is a songwriter, businesswoman, and humanitarian among the rest, has officially announced that she will cease touring, even as she continues creating more music. This saddened many of her fans who are always looking forward to another memorable show.

Shutterstock/Jack Fordyce

The singer shared her decision to stop touring in an interview with Pollystar. ”I’ll do special shows here and there, now and then. Maybe do a long weekend of shows, or just a few shows at a festival. But I have no intention of going on a full-blown tour anymore.”

She would instead focus on making music and spending time with her husband. Dolly and husband Carl Thomas Dean have been married for over 50 years, but we don’t know much about him as he’s trying to keep himself out of the spotlight. The singer wrote about him in her book and described him as a romantic person. She even recalled how he hugged her so tight when she went to visit him at the army base in Georgia back in the day that her wig fell off. “He squeezed, hugged and kissed me so hard that he knocked my wig off.”

Shutterstock/Tinseltown

They met back in 1964 outside the Wishy Washy Laundromat in Nashville, Tennessee. At the time, Dolly was 18 years of age, and Carl was 21.

“My first thought was, ‘I’m gonna marry that girl,’” Dean said in a statement of the moment he first laid eyes on Dolly, as quoted by Entertainment Tonight.

“My second thought was, ‘Lord she’s good lookin’.’ And that was the day my life began. I wouldn’t trade the last 50 years for nothing on this earth.”

Instagram/dollyparton

At the time they tied the knot, Dolly was starting her career and her record label believed she should put the decision to marry on hold, but she refused. She and Dean married in an intimate ceremony in Ringgold, Georgia to avoid the local press in Tennessee to write about them.

It was the start of a love story that never ended.

Instagram/dollyparton

Dolly now spoke of her desire to spend most of her time by her husband’s side in the comfort of their home and how she feels about touring.

“I’ve done that my whole life, and it takes so much time and energy. I like to stay a little closer to home with my husband. We’re getting older now, and I don’t want to be gone for four or five weeks at a time. Something could happen. I would not feel right about that, if I were gone and somebody needed me. Or I would feel bad if I had to leave a tour if somebody got sick at home and needed me and then I had to walk out on the fans.”

Shutterstock/Tinseltown

Currently, Dolly is working on her album and is reportedly in the works to create a Christmas special for NBC this year.

“It’s a show within a show. What we’re doing is focused on the dramatic side. It’s showing all the things that go on while you’re putting together a show. All the arguments you have with the producers, all the problems you have with the artists, all the problems you have with scenery falling down and all the things that go on backstage, people having to cancel and reschedule real quick … I wouldn’t consider me acting, because I’m just totally myself in this. I’m just Dolly all the way, I’m not playing a character.”

At the same time, she and Reese Witherspoon are working on the upcoming film Run, Rose, Run.

We are thankful to Dolly Parton for all the music she created and performed over the years.

This nice but unfortunate homeless man was walking the streets of New York when he was stopped by a Police Officer

0

Not having roof over your head and spending your days out in the hot sun during the summers and in the cold during the winters has to be devastating. Unfortunately, the number of homeless people in the U.S. is huge. The reasons for the state these people found themselves in are many, but one thing is certain, they don’t have it easy and they didn’t choose that kind of life themselves.

A homeless man named Bobby was wandering the streets of New York questioning his life choices and struggling to find a place to stay. This is what he did every single day, but little did he know that a sudden encounter would make this day a bit better for him.

Namely, as Bobby walked up and down, officer Aaron Page spotted him and decided to have a quick chat with him.

After learning that Bobby wanted to find a job but couldn’t do it because of the way he looked and dressed, Page took things into his own hands.

Together with a couple colleagues from his department, they provided Bobby with a fresh haircut. Bobby also got rid of his beard and was provided a hot shower. On top of that, he was given a bunch of clothes to help him dress nicely for the search of work.

Bobby’s transformation stunned many. This man expressed his immense gratitude as he couldn’t hide his happiness.

We are so thankful there are still people out there like officer Page who help make this world a better place.

As for Bobby, we hope and pray he finds a job and starts his life over.
