8-year-old comes to school with frozen head, when teacher takes a closer look his heart breaks

Being healthy, having a roof over our head, and not having to walk miles to work or school are just some of the things that most of us take for granted.Often, we forget that there are other people out there who face different challenges every single day, and one of them is an 8-year-old boy from China named Wang Fuman.

This young boy has been living at the Xinjie province. His mom abandoned the family and his dad was forced to move to a major city in order to find a job, so Wang has been living with his grandmother.

He attends school and is eager to learn, but the circumstances surrounding him make things difficult.

Wang’s home is miles away from the school he attends so he is forced to walk long hours to and from school every single day.

One day, when the temperatures dropped to -9 degrees Celsius, Wang arrived to school with his cheeks red from the cold and his hair completely frozen. And as this image caused laughter at his classmates, the sight of Wang’s hair broke his teacher’s heart.

In order to raise awareness of the tough circumstances of many of his students, the teacher decided to share Wang’s photo along with his life story hoping the country would do something to ease the lives of these students.

On that particular day, Wang was supposed to take a test and he didn’t want to miss it. This young boy studies hard and demonstrates willingness to succeed in life.

Audrey Hepburn’s granddaughter Emma Ferrer looks exactly like her late grandmother

When a person comes from a family of celebrities, it is somehow expected from them to follow into their famous parents’ or grandparents’ footsteps, and as that is usually the case, some still tend to choose their own path and with that, a different career.

Emma Ferrer is the granddaughter of one of the most famous actresses that have ever walked this Earth, stunning Audrey Hepburn, and yet, this young lady didn’t choose to be part of the film industry herself. On the contrary, Emma is carving out her own space in the realm of the arts, but she’s extremely proud to be Audrey’s granddaughter.

Audrey passed away when Emma was just a year old, and although she doesn’t remember her grandmother, she has heard so many stories about her over the course of the years that she feels like she has always been part of her life.

“Slowly, I started going to friends’ houses and seeing that she was in a poster in their kitchen, or I would see her on a T-shirt or on handbags. (It was like), ‘I guess this actually is a bigger deal than I thought it was,’” Emma said in an interview with Today.

“She really revolutionized what we take for granted today … which is to have a celebrity of her magnitude associated with a cause like she was,” Ferrer said of her grandmother. “But at the time — I don’t know if we can really appreciate how revolutionary that, in fact, was.”

Emma is the daughter of Audrey’s oldest son, Sean Hepburn Ferrer, whom she had with her first husband. Emma remembers her father speaking dearly of the famous actress and that helped Emma feel close to her late grandmother.

“There’s been an intimacy in what my dad tells me about her and the stories that people who knew her tell me about,” Emma said.

“Working on set, she would use her lunch break to cook lunch for the whole crew. She did this famous — I guess it was a series on gardens of the world with this … famous news TV personality. … This news person, she got a stain on her shirt, and so my grandmother took her shirt and went and laundered it in her hotel room dry cleaner.”

“These little things, she always brought flowers, and she would bring breakfast in bed if you were staying at her house,” Ferrer continued. “(She) just did these little things that make her seem like she was just the best, the nicest person,” Emma shared of what she knows and has heard.

Emma also spoke of her grandmother’s decision to always put family first, even before her career.

“She had this huge career, and she took really big steps back from it when my dad and his brother were born. She kind of put her whole career on the line for them and turned down movies, where her agent and her husband even were like, ‘What are you doing? You have to take this role,’” Emma said.

“I have her little linen teddy bear that’s so old and has a coffee stain on it, and it’s still on my bed at my dad’s house. And I have sweaters that I just have worn so much over the years, and I’ll put it on and forget that it’s hers,” Emma shared.

She also has some costume jewelry her grandmother wore in movies. “They’re things made of not valuable metals at all, but it’s a nice way again to feel like … she’s teaching me things,” Emma added.

Audrey was heavily involved with UNICEF and with the idea of helping the vulnerable, and now Emma working for the organization herself gives her “a way for me to really kind of feel a connection to [Audrey Hepburn] that … I’ve struggled to feel otherwise.”

Not only Emma is a successful young woman in her own right, but she also resembles her famous grandmother. What’s most, many claim she inherited her beauty and her charm.

Bindi Irwin is on the path to recovery after ten years of indescribable misery

Many said that late Steve Irwin’s children had big shoes to fill when they decided to follow into his footsteps, but they are showing the world that they are continuing their father’s legacy in the best way possible. The love they feel for the animals is enormous and their efforts to preserve different species is effortless.

Bindi Irwin and Robert Irwin, together with their mother Terri, work as zoo keepers in Australia and are involved in conservation, promoting, and protecting animals.

Bindi, who is now a mom of daughter Grace Warrior, often shares photos of her little one and updates her fans of important events of her life.

This time, she shared a photo of herself from the hospital and shared with her fans that after years of living in pain, she has finally decided to take care of a condition she suffered from.

Namely, Bindi was diagnosed with endometriosis, a disorder in which cells identical to the lining of the uterus develop outside of the uterus.

The thing is that she spent years trying to figure out what was wrong with her.

“Dear Friends, I battled for a long time wondering if I should share this journey with you in such a public space. It came down to the responsibility I feel to share my story for other women who need help,” she wrote on the social media and explained that doctors’ ignored her symptoms for long.

“A doctor told me it was simply something you deal with as a woman & I gave up entirely, trying to function through the pain. I didn’t find answers until a friend @lesliemosier helped set me on a path of regaining my life. I decided to undergo surgery for endometriosis,” she wrote, adding that the doctors found thirty-seven lesions and an ovarian cyst.

Then, it was a friend of hers who encouraged her to do all in her power to detect the reason behind the pain she experienced for so long. Finally, she was diagnosed and could get the treatment needed.

“Things may look fine on the outside looking in through the window of someone’s life, however, that is not always the case. Please be gentle & pause before asking me (or any woman) when we’ll be having more children,” she wrote. 

“After all that my body has gone through, I feel tremendously grateful that we have our gorgeous daughter. She feels like our family’s miracle. I’m aware of millions of women struggling with a similar story. There’s stigma around this awful disease. I’m sharing my story for anyone who reads this & is quietly dealing with pain & no answers. Let this be your validation that your pain is real & you deserve help. Keep searching for answers. www.endofound.org,” she concluded.

Most people dream of finding that one person who would make their world complete and who they would spend their eternity with. However, there are also those who don’t feel like committing and who decide marriage is not their thing.

Below is a list of celebrities who never tied the knot.

Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle found fame the moment she took the stage of Britain’s Got Talent in 2009. What makes this incredible singer a much-loved celebrity isn’t just her out-of-this-world talent for singing which captured the hearts of millions of fans almost overnight, but also the fact that she remained humble and grounded despite the fame she gained and the millions she made.

When she appeared on the show, Boyle revealed that she had never been involved in a relationship and that she had never kissed a guy. That, however, changed in 2014 when she found love. She, however, isn’t married.

Dana Delany

Delany had her breakthrough with the role of Colleen McMurphy on the ABC television drama China Beach (1988–1991), for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1989 and 1992. She went on to play other significant roles, including those in Desperate Housewives, Body of Proof, Hand of God and a lot more. Among the rest, she’s also a well-known voice actress.

In a 2006 interview, Delany said that she has been hesitant about tying the knot, adding that she hasn’t met the right one.

Mindy Kaling

Kaling is an American television actress, comedian, screenwriter and producer who first gained recognition starring as Kelly Kapoor in the NBC sitcom The Office (2005–2013), for which she also served as a writer, executive producer, and director.

She is a mother of two, a son and a daughter, but the identity of her children’s fathers is unknown as she is not married. In the past, she was said to had dated B. J. Novak, whom she met through writing for The Office. He is the godfather to both her children.

Anita Hill

Hill is a professor of social policy, law, and women’s studies at Brandeis University and a faculty member of the university’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management. The country learned of this courageous woman when she accused U.S. Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas, her supervisor at the United States Department of Education and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, of sexual harassment.

Hill, who is 66, has a long-time partner but their relationship is uncommon as they prefer not to live together and they have never tied the knot. She says she isn’t against marriage but that she hasn’t made up her mind for something like that.

Greta Garbo

Great Greta Garbo never married, had no children, and lived alone as an adult. This Swedish-American actress is considered one of the greatest there are. Her career started with the 1924 Swedish film The Saga of Gösta Berling, after which she caught the attention of Louis B. Mayer, chief executive of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), who brought her to Hollywood in 1925.

The most famous and most significant romance she was involved in was that with her frequent co-star John Gilbert, with whom she lived intermittently in 1926 and 1927.

Allegedly, the two were set to get married, but she left him at the altar.

Diane Keaton

Over the years, Keaton has been involved in several relationships. Among the rest, she dated director Woody Allen during her role in the 1969 Broadway production of Play It Again, Sam. Later, she had on-again, off-again relationship with Al Pacino, and dated Warren Beatty, but she never married.

Speaking of it, she said in a 2010 interview, “I don’t think that because I’m not married it’s made my life any less. That old maid myth is garbage.” At the age of 50, Keaton became a mother after she adopted her two children. “Motherhood has completely changed me. It’s just about like the most completely humbling experience that I’ve ever had.”

Coco Chanel

Coco Chanel, the fashion designer who changed the course of women’s fashion and is known for her timeless designs, trademark suits and little black dresses, believed that she didn’t need a man to make her happy. She never got married but rumors are she was the mistress of a lot of successful businessmen, models, and celebrities.

Oprah Winfrey

Oprah has been together with the love of her life, Stedman Graham, for over 30 years, but the two never married. In fact, he proposed to her when he called on her show back in 1987 and said, “I want you to marry me. I think it’s time.” She said yes, and the two even planned a wedding but then decided to not tie the knot. In fact, she believes one of the reasons they are still together is that they never married.

“No question about it — we would not stay married, because of what that would have meant to him, and I would have had my own ideas about it. I have not had one regret about that,” she told Yahoo.

The couple doesn’t have any children. It’s not that they didn’t want to become parents, but Oprah believed that being a mother asks for the ultimate sacrifice and she holds mothers in the “highest regard.”

Morgan Freeman spotted wearing glove on left hand at the Oscars – the reason why is heartbreaking

Among the rest, the 2023 Oscars will definitely be remembered by the big winner Everything Everywhere All at Once, which received seven awards on a landmark night.

The list of attendees consisted of a number of legendary actors, including Morgan Freeman and Margot Robbie who walked the stage together to commemorate Warner Bros.’ 100th anniversary.

As always, Robbie looked stunning, and Freeman was certainly dressed for the occasion, wearing a dapper black tuxedo and rocking a fresh new bald hairstyle. However, what many people noticed was the black glove on his left hand. And as those unaware of the real reason for it believed it was just a stylistic preference, Freeman’s fans knew the actor was wearing the glove because of the bad accident he was involved in years ago.

Namely, back in 2008, Freeman injured his arm while driving home late one night when his car veered off the road and flipped several times before coming to an eventual stop in a ditch.

Paramedics arrived quickly and he was conscious but needed to be transferred to a Memphis hospital located over 100 miles away from the scene of the crash.

Freeman ended up with a couple of broken ribs and was forced to undergo a four-hour long surgery for his hand.

Though he mostly recovered, the Shawshank Redemption star was left with a lasting physical nerve damage in his left hand known as fibromyalgia. Unfortunately, his arm was left paralyzed.

Back in 2010, two years after the accident, Freeman spoke to People magazine and shared how he never fully recovered from the injury. “If you don’t move your hand, it will swell up,” he explained. “Do you know you move your hand about a million times a day?”

Ever since the accident, he needs to wear a compression glove to keep the symptoms in check. Back in 2022, the actor was also spotted wearing a similar compression glove during the opening ceremony FIFA Qatar World Cup.

Jenna Bush Hager says husband saved a choking woman’s life

Besides being known as the daughter of former President Josh Bush, Jenna Welch Bush Hager is also an American news personality, author, and journalist. She is the co-host of Today with Hoda & Jenna, the fourth hour of NBC’s morning news program Today.

During an episode of the show, Jenna revealed that she, her husband Henry Chase Hager, and her mother-in-law were out in a restaurant when they noticed that a woman started chocking. Thankfully, quick-thinking Henry jumped into action, Jenna told co-host Hoda Kotb.

“He gets up, he runs over, and he gives a woman the Heimlich maneuver,” she explained. “It felt like it was ten minutes,” Jenna elaborated. “Being on this show, I knew what to do. ‘Someone call 911!’”

As he was performing the Heimlich maneuver, Henry was devastated that the woman in question couldn’t take breath, but then paramedics arrived and saved her.

“The Heimlich, how did he know how to do that or what to do?” Hoda asked about Jenna’s husband.

“Well, he was a Boy Scout,” Jenna said laughing and explained how her husband wasn’t just a Boy Scout but an Eagle Scout as well. When people approached Henry after the incident was over, and asked him whether he was a doctor, he answered, “No, I’m an Eagle Scout.”

Jenna then shared that her father, Josh Bush, once saved a choking woman during a speech at an event where meals were served. She revealed that once he noticed the woman in trouble, Bush “jumped off the podium. Because he’s the only one who has the view of her.” Jenna claimed her father saved that woman’s life.

Hoda said that it was amazing that the two most important men in Jenna’s life saved two different women from chocking.

Sadly, chocking deaths are fairly common so we always need to be careful.

Sir Elton John is in our thoughts and prayers

It goes without saying that Sir Elton John is one of the greatest and most influential musicians in the world of music.

His career spans many decades. Throughout the years, he has treated the world with music pieces which seem to become more and more popular as time passes by.

He is one of those superstars who took the world by storm and has remained on the pedestal for a very long time.

Elton’s love for music started when he was very young. At the age of just 4, he learned how to play the piano and knew that music was his calling.

“As a child, I got approval and love when I sang at family gatherings or weddings, and I felt safe and happy. Then I came off stage and, again, I had to deal with what was going on in my life,” the singer told CBC.

At the age of 17, Elton started performing with a group named Bluesology, and in 1967, he met the man who became his best friend for life and with whom he achieved great things and reached for the stars. The first ever encounter between Elton and the person behind almost all of his songs, Bernie Taupin, happened when they both saw an ad in a local newspaper for Liberty Records.

Bernie was the perfect lyrics writer, and Elton was the best at making music, so they made the perfect match.

Iconic Crocodile Rock, Island Girl, Bennie and the Jets, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me, Nikita, I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues and Candle In The Wind, among the rest, are just some of the songs the two worked on together. Pure magic, one would say!

Just a single look at Sir Elton John and husband David Furnish will convince you that you are witnessing one of the best love stories in the world of celebrities. The two met some 27 years ago and are going strong as day one.

The two share two sons together, Zachary and Elijah.

His family is the reason why he decided to slow things down after the devastating prostate cancer diagnosis he received in 2017. In order to prevent his cancer from spreading any further, the famous singer and performer oped surgery over chemo treatments. Once known for working at a 120-show-per-year pace, John said he found himself “24 hours from death,” and that forced him to reconsider his priorities in life. 

“Effectively my kids made the decision for me. I didn’t like the idea of cancer hanging over me—us—for years to come: I just wanted rid of it,” he wrote in his 2019 memoir, simply titled Me.

Sadly, some ten days after the surgery, he began to develop agonizing pain resulting from a complication with his lymph nodes which caused them to leak fluids, as reported by Yahoo. He was on and off hospital for around two and a half months before doctors accidentally cured him. “A routine colonoscopy shifted the fluid permanently, days before my 70th birthday,” John wrote in his book, which was serialized in The Daily Mail.

Sadly, as he thought his troubles were over, he contracted a major infection in South America and was close to death.

“In a strange way, it felt like the time I spent recuperating was the answer to my prayers: if you want more time, you need to learn to live like this, you have to slow down,” the singer said. “It was like being shown a different life, a life I realized I loved more than being on the road,” John added. This made him make a decision to stop touring. “I want to be there for all of it,” he said of spending time with his sons.

She is very supportive of her sons and grandchildren and she is very proud of them.

Lucia, who will be 17 soon, not only has a famous grandma and a father who is in the show business too, but her mother, Sasha Alexander, is also an actress. She might be familiar to you from productions like Rizzoli & Isles.

In fact, it is Sasha who often shares photos of Lucia on the social media. When Lucia turned 15 years old she posted a sweet picture of the mother and daughter duo, along with a caption that read, “Happy Birthday to our Lucia! 15 today! She is taller than me, definitely more organized, a thinker, a dancer, and a super funny human. What a difficult year it has been for all kids, but I must say I learned so much from Lucia and how she joyfully moved through it all. Bravo our love! Keep doing what you’re doing and never stop calling me girly pop.”

From what we can see, Lucia resembles her famous grandma a lot.
