Although it was reported by royal experts and a number of media outlets that after the death of Prince Philip Her Majesty The Queen would slowly “fade away gracefully” when it comes to her royal duties and would give more freedom in making decisions regarding the family to the heir apparent to the British throne, Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth is still very active.

“Her family will step up and be by her side, but she will carry on,” a source told People in early April.

“She understands that she has a job to do, and [Philip] would have wanted her to crack on. She did do so when he retired from public life, she will never abdicate because of duty and honor and public service is so deep in her, as it was for him,” the source added.

Among other royal duties that she attended in the recent period was the G7 summit held in Cornwall, England, on Friday, during which world leaders discussed issues such as the climate change, vaccines, and other crucial subjects.

After the meeting was over, the Queen hosted President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden at Windsor Castle. What they discusses hasn’t been disclosed, but according to The Guardian, Queen Elizabeth could be heard saying to the President as they walked through the corridor: “You completed your talks,” to which Biden replied: “Yes we did.”

“We had a long talk, she was very generous. I don’t think she’d be insulted, but she reminded me of my mother. In terms of the look of her and just the generosity,” Biden, 78, was reported to have said of the Queen, 95.

According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, the Queen was “relieved” that she met Biden instead of former POTUS Donald Trump.

“Given Donald Trump’s notorious unpredictability and the atrocious storming of the Capitol by a mob incited by him, she is likely to be personally relieved by Biden’s election victory,” he told Express.

“As the world’s most experienced head of state, she will undoubtedly appreciate the importance of America having a President with so much experience, especially during the unprecedented crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

During his latest visit of the UK, Donald Trump, whose unpredictability is something the Queen didn’t like about him, according to Fitzwilliams, he turned his back on her as he walked in front of her which many considered a “mortal insult.”

However, during his interview with Pierce Morgan later on, Trump said that the Queen spoke to him about how complex the Brexit was. When Morgan tried to make Trump reveal more details, he said: “Well, I can’t talk, you know I’ve heard very strongly from a lot of people, you just don’t talk about that conversation with the Queen, right? You don’t want to do that,” after which he added: “Let me tell you what I can talk about. She is an incredible woman, she is so sharp, she is so beautiful, when I say beautiful – inside and out. That is a beautiful woman.”

In 2019, when Trump visited UK again, he broke the protocol once again when he shook hands with The Queen and Prince Charles instead of giving them the traditional bow. The same thing happened again with both him and Melania when they met the Royals at the NATO summit in London.
