Ron Howard’s daughter is all grown up and following into her father’s footsteps

Ron Howard made his screen debut when he was just a four-year-old boy and stole the hearts of many with his charm and his acting talent. Playing little Opie Taylor on The Andy Griffith Show opened his doors to the world of the showbiz and he hasn’t left Hollywood ever since. However, after he grew to fame even more with the role of Richie Cunningham on Happy Days, Howard realized he wanted to bee behind the camera.

As a director, producer, and screenwriter, he conquered Hollywood and won numerous awards.

Howard got two Academy Awards, for “A Beautiful Mind,” and “Apollo 13”, four Emmys, a Grammy, two Golden Globes and was nominated for seven BAFTA Awards and was a recipient of the National Medal of Arts in 2001. His contribution to the television and motion picture industries has been rewarded with two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

His daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard, followed into her famous father’s footsteps and pursued a career as an actress. Bryce is the first child of Howard and his high-school sweetheart, Cheryl. The couple has three more children together. Howard is described by his family as a loving husband and a father, and is his children’s role model.

Howard and his wife never really wanted their children to live in the spotlight. What they wanted was for them to have a normal childhood.

However, when Bryce turned seven, Howard let her be an extra in some of his movies and that’s when she got to experience what it felt like to be in front of the camera. What’s most, Bryce loved it and somehow knew that acting was her calling.

Bryce’s first bigger role was that of Ivy Walker in the blockbuster The Village. Since then, her career only went upwards and she played Victoria in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and then appeared opposite Chris Pratt in Jurassic World. Other significant roles are that in the Gold where she played alongside Mathew McConaughey and in an episode of the Netflix’s show, Black Mirror.

Coming from a family of successful actors, it’s not surprising Bryce inherited the talent.

She’s glad she got to learn from the best and always makes sure to tell those who supported her throughout the way that she’s grateful. Howard’s mother, Jean, stared in more than 30 shows such as Married… with Children, Grace Under Fire and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

We are glad Bryce is living her dream. If you are a fan of hers and her father, share this story with your friends.
