Ridiculously cute koala heads over to neighbors’ asking for kisses and cuddles by the pool

Humans’ relation with animals has always been a fascinating one. No matter how different we are from one another, we create bonds and many times depend on each other. And as much as this is true for the animals we have domesticated, those living in the wild can enter our world as well. Sometimes because they get lost and wander, and other times because they are curious to learn of the ‘strange’ creatures who own houses, and even have pools to chill in.

Of course, in case you stumble upon a wild animal out of its natural habitat, you should likely alert an animal rescue center, a rehabilitation center, or a shelter. However, many times, until we get the chance to make a call, the animal is usually gone. But not this time. A sweet koala that entered one family’s house was apparently there to stay, at least for a while.

The family that lives in Adelaide Hills, South Australia, spotted the koala coming down a tree and right into their backyard.

Is this going to turn into one of the cutest stories depicting unlike friendships? Well, who knows, lets see how it ends.

The footage of the house’s surveillance camera is so clear that it gives the impression that we are in the yard too. And the feeling is pure gold.

The animal gets near the pool very carefully, as it has no idea what to expect. It explores the place and then decides to take a sip from the water. Although koalas don’t consume a lot of water, this guy is apparently very eager to try some and see what it tastes like.

As it realizes it’s just water, the sweet koala places its hands inside and drinks some more.

Then, a woman who is in the pool makes her way towards the guest that welcomed itself in her house. She goes really slowly because she doesn’t want to scare the curious animal.

As it turns out, the koala is very affectionate. It lets the woman give it water and drinks from her hands. Isn’t that a sight to remember? I wish I could experience such close encounter with a wild animal that friendly.

Looking at these two bonding, one would assume they are a life-long friends and not just casual acquaintances.

The most mesmerizing thing of all happens when the woman gets out of the water and stands face-to-face with the lovely animal. Believe it or not, they kissed by touching their noses.

The koala knows the woman is kind and enjoys the petting on the nose and the face.

After the one-of-a-kind encounter, the koala went up the stairs and headed towards the house. Unfortunately, the camera cut off and we don’t know what it did next, although we are very curious to find that out.

This all looks so cute that our hearts melted. However, no matter how much you enjoyed the story, you should always be extra cautious in case you encounter a wild animal. Remember to always stay at a safe distance.
