Queen Elizabeth “saddened” by claims made by Harry and Meghan

Every outlet, every magazine, every TV station and program, not only in the U.S. and U.K., but practically the entire world, is still broadcasting news about Meghan and Harry’s first tell-all interview after stepping down from their royal duties.

Days needed to pass in order for all those shocking revelations to settle and the Royal family to respond to everything that has been said by the Sussexes.

According to both Meghan and Harry, there were conversations about how dark Archie’s skin would be before he was born. This caused many to accuse the Palace of racism, and the wide public was eagerly waiting for the queen’s response to those accusations.

The couple believed they should have their story heard, and boy was it heard by millions. It has been said that Oprah’s Harpo Productions earned millions with the host having the former royals opposite her, and CBS paid between $7-9 millions for the interview rights, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

At one point during the interview, Meghan said: “I don’t know how they could expect, after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that the firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us. If that comes with risk of losing things…there’s a lot that’s been lost already.”

Of course, it was just a matter of time when the Palace would respond to the bombshell interview. Queen Elizabeth herself released a statement which read:

“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

It looks like people were expecting more than what the statement read. We are yet to see if other members of the royalty will comment on the interview.
