Preschooler tells mom he has a twin at school – photo melts her heart

We have so much to learn from children. They are always honest to the core and see the world through different eyes than us adults. Their hearts are pure and their love for those around them is profound.

The following story took place back in 2019, but it is so great that we couldn’t help but re-share it with you.

Twin day was just around the corner and a preschooler named Myles told his mother how there was a boy at the school who would be his twin for the day because apparently, the two looked exactly the same. The boy in question was Myles’ classmate Tanner. The two boys were really close. They were in fact best friends, and although Myles’ mom, Britney Tankersley, was aware of that fact, she had never met Tanner in person. So, when her son told her that Tanner looked exactly like him, she decided to trust his word and pictured a white boy with blonde hair and blue eyes, just like Myles.

What she didn’t know was that in fact, the boys weren’t alike at all, but her son didn’t see their differences.

Britney stopped by Walmart the previous day and bought matching outfits for the “twins.” The following day, when the teacher sent her a photo of Myles and Tanner, Britney was deeply touched.

Their teacher sent me this picture today,” his mom, Britney wrote next to the photo she shared on her Facebook. “My heart melted. Obviously two very different children, but Myles didn’t see that. Wouldn’t the world be such a better place if we could all view it through the eyes of a couple 5yr olds♥️

Needless to say, her post attracted the attention of thousands of people who wished for the same; us grown-ups to be able to see the world through the eyes of children.
