Jon Bon Jovi still madly in love with wife after 4 decades – see her today

For most celebrities, it is rather not an easy task to keep their private lives out of the public eye. The truth is that no matter how hard they try, they are always surrounded by their fans and the paparazzi, as well as the media that would ‘kill’ for a juicy story.

Jon Bon Jovi is one of those celebs who loves to keep his family out of the limelight. Besides being a renowned singer, songwriter, and guitarist, he’s also a family man. Jon is a devoted husband and a father of three.

He and his wife, Dorothea Hurley, have been married for 35 years and have four children together, Jesse, 28, Romeo Jon, 19, Stephanie Rose, 30, and Jake, 21.

Their love story is one of the most beloved and dates back to the time the two were teenagers.

In 2020, the musician spoke in depth about his long-lasting relationship and how he and his wife only got closer as years passed by.

The couple first met while in high-school, when he tried to cheat on a tests by peaking at her test. At the time, Dorothea dated someone else and she and John Bon Jovi didn’t start a relationship until they were in their twenties. In the time between, they were just friends.

In her youth, Dorothea was a junior karate champion who later became a karate instructor. At the same time, she co-runs the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen Restaurant chain, which encourages customers to pre-purchase meals for the homeless.

The couple tied the knot in April 29, 1989, just as Jon was rising to fame with the number one album New Jersey and a chart-topping single. He popped the question during their stay at the St. James Club. They tied the knot at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.

One of the people who was convinced this marriage wasn’t a good idea was Jon’s manager who believed it would lead to a career misstep. Well, although that didn’t happen to be the case, many of Jon’s fans were devastated that their favorite singer was no longer a bachelor.

“America wasn’t happy on that Monday when they found out about the wedding, and a lot of people tried to ruin a beautiful thing. They tried to cheat us out of that moment,” Jon told The Mirror in 2018.

According to Jon, the secret to their long-lasting and rather fulfilling marriage is their ‘mutual respect,’ as per People Magazine.

In 2024, John Bon Jovi will be named MusiCares Person of the Year, in recognition of his influence in the music industry.

Jon and Dorothea founded the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation in 2006 which marked the start of the fight against homelessness and poverty.

Bon Jovi’s community kitchens are open for thousands of people who can’t afford to have a hot meal and everyone agrees that his restaurants feel like home.

Recently, a photo of the couple on their date night in January 2024 at Giorgia Baldi in Santa Monica was shared by the Daily Mail, and fans couldn’t help but comment how in love the two seem to be after all those years.

“Good for them, they obviously have something special together after 35 years,” one person wrote.

However, there were also those who shared some mean comments regarding her appearance.

“He is way too good looking for her, always has been!” someone commented.

“Thought she was his mom,” another added.

Jon and Dorothea don’t seem to care about the naysayers because they love each other.
