Discover the miracle drink that helps seniors rebuild knee cartilage quickly

Cartilage is a flexible, sturdy tissue that cushions your bones and joints. It helps absorb shocks so your body can move smoothly without injury.

My Cleveland Clinic states that “Cartilage at the end of your bones reduces friction and prevents them from rubbing together when you use your joints. It’s also the main tissue in some parts of your body and gives them their structure and shape.”

According to the site, damage in your cartilage can happen suddenly due to sports injury or other trauma, or it can build up over the course of your life and lead to osteoarthritis.

When it comes to your knees, a meniscus tear is one of the most common types of damage to cartilage in this part of your body.

The cartilage is found between the bones in the knee joint and protects them when you move. It usually gets damaged because of an injury.

Pain in the knees not only causes discomfort, but it also prevents smooth movement and can limit your independence when it comes to even the simplest everyday activities such as going up and down the stairs, getting out of a chair, or do gardening.

Knee pain is typical for the elderly population, with over 50% of adults over the age of 65 experiencing joint issues. The risk increases if you’re over 50, carry extra weight, or lack joint-supporting nutrients.

There are certain foods that can ease the pain in your knees and prevent injuries from taking place.

This particular drink is believed to help with the pain in your knees by protecting and renewing the cartilage, and the good thing is that it is simple and easy to make.

What you need in order to prepare this famous and much-loved drink are two super powerful ingredients, turmeric and ginger.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric (or a small slice of fresh root)
  • ½ tsp grated fresh ginger (or ground ginger)
  • Optional: squeeze of lemon or 1 tsp honey for taste

How to Make It:

  1. Boil water.
  2. Add turmeric and ginger.
  3. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain (if fresh).
  5. Add lemon or honey for taste and sip warm.

Drink one cup daily, either in the morning or in the evening.

Keeping your knees healthy also requires some lifestyle changes — in case you haven’t incorporated them in your daily life so far — such as staying active and walk or stretch, consume joint-friendly foods like mega-3-rich fish, leafy greens, and bone broth, stay hydrated, and rest well.
