Sometimes, there are things that happen in a person’s life which can’t be explained by the laws of science or nature. These things are dubbed miraculous, because there is no other explanation of why or how they happen.
Not many people believe in miracles, though, but stories like the following can easily make them change their mind.
8-year-old boy named J.T. Parker was working on the car at the garage together with his older brother Mason and his father Stephen Parker. Mason hurt himself and entered inside the house for first aid while J.T. and his dad continued working.
Speaking to East Idaho News, Stephen explained what was going on before a tragedy struck.
“We were pulling the engine out of the car, and after we got it jacked up, I climbed under there to take the axels off,” the father said. “The one axle came off pretty easily, but the other side wasn’t coming off.”
That’s when Stephen made a wrong decision to jostle the second axle. Unfortunately, the vehicle slammed into him and he ended up underneath it.
Stephen was unable to move as the car pressed his chest. He knew there was no way out because the only person around was J.T. who was way too young to be able to jack the vehicle.
“I yelled to J.T. on the other side of the car, ‘Jack it up quick! Jack it up quick!’” Stephen told East Idaho News.
“I couldn’t move at all. I was totally trapped, and then I passed out. It was all in his hands, and I thought, ‘This is it.’ There’s no way he can jack up this car because it took my 17-year-old son and I both to jack it up the first time.”
J.T., although weighting just 50 pounds, started jumping on the jack handle until the car started lifting off of his father. “It was scary, and I didn’t think that I could jack the car up, but I just kept on trying,” J.T. recalled.
When the car was lifted a bit, J.T. rushed inside the house to call his brother. They called the ambulance and Stephen, who passed out at that point, was rushed to the hospital. He ended up with 13 broken ribs, but had it not been for J.T., things could have easily ended up with a tragedy.
The young boy still doesn’t know how he managed to lift the car and says angels were by his side when he struggled to save his father’s life.
“This whole thing is a miracle. There’s no other way to describe it,” J.T.’s mother Jodi Parker said.
After Stephen was sent home, they filmed J.T. trying to jack up the car once again, but this time, he wasn’t able to do it.
We are glad everything turned out for the best.
