Patrick Swayze and his wife Lisa Niemi first met when the two were very young. In fact, Lisa was just 18 at the time and was attending dance lessons in the school where Patrick’s mother was the principal. They didn’t start dating right away, instead it took them years to meet again and become a couple.
Patrick had always been in love with dancing and along with his acting talent, he achieved a huge success in the film industry. Of course, one of his most memorable roles was that in Dirty Dancing.
Some years after that movie which stole the hearts of many and remained one of the best in the history of film, Patrick showed his out-of-this-world dancing abilities again, but this time, he took the stage together with his loving wife at the World Music Awards in 1994. Their mesmerizing performance was caught on tape and is still one we go back to again and again.
Patrick and Lisa danced to the famous song from 1982, “All The Man That I Need,” which was initially titled “All The Man I Need,” by Linda Clifford. The music piece was later covered by Whitney Houston in 1991 and reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The duo’s dance performance not only stole the hearts of millions, but that of Houston as well. At the end of the video, she could be seen applauding.
