11-year-old Labrador fosters a flock of abandoned ducklings and becomes a sensation

The unlike animal friendships like the one between Bea the giraffe and Wilma the ostrich as well as Mani the wild boar piglet and Candy the dog remind us that we don’t have to look the same in order to love one another. It has always been about cherishing diversity if we want this world to be a place for everyone to fit in just equally, and that includes all humans, animals, insects, and even plants.

The story of an incredibly loving and compassionate Labrador named Fred and his love, affection, and devotion towards a flock of ducks whose mother left is melting the hearts of people from all around the world.

Fred is residing at the Mountfitchet Castle along with the castle’s director Jeremy Goldsmith and this tiny family of nine ducklings that he considers his own. Jeremy believed that the incredible sight of Fred taking care of his “kids” was way too cute not to be shared with the rest of us.

“Fred took to fatherhood as a duck takes to water,” Jeremy says as he shares adorable photos of the ducklings riding on Fred’s back and him laying next to them to keep them warm.

What an incredible friendship, don’t you think? Take a look at the whole story in the video below and don’t forget to share it with your friends, they are going to love it.
