Most people believe that millionaires are ruthless individuals whose life is driven by the thought of making more and more money. Luckily, that’s not always the case. Take Marcus Lemonis for example, a Lebanese-born American businessman, television personality and philanthropist. He’s the CEO of a couple of companies and the star of The Profit, a CNBC reality show about saving small businesses.
The thing is that this man has made his millions all by himself, with hard work and a great sense for business. He’s managed to reach heights by observing and implementing the most workable ideas in business, such as the fact that it is the employees who give a company soul and everything it needs in order to establish itself on the market as the leader in certain field.
Marcus is known for being there for his employees, as well as other people who are in need of help. One such person is Tami Forbes, a mother of twins aged 8, and a third child on the way.
In order to be able to provide for her kids, Tami, who is the store manager, was forced to work a second job, as a bartender.
Hearing this, Marcus knew he needed to step in, so he called Tami, who wasn’t certain what future held for her as she believed she could be fired because of the maternity leave she was planning to use.
But that wasn’t the case. Instead, Marcus told her to be at ease because her position would be waiting for her once she returns at the company. In addition to that, he told her she no longer needed to work extra jobs because he would be paying her $1,000 a week. Marcus promised that he would provide Tami with extra financial assistance for the first six months of her maternity leave.
What an incredible man.
Needless to say, Tami couldn’t contain her tears of joy.
