My wife, Taylor, was involved in a severe car accident. However, when the police contacted me and I arrived at the scene, she was nowhere to be found.

Authorities began an extensive search that involved helicopters, but there was no trace of Taylor. The car was there, all of her documents were there, but she wasn’t. The blood stains showed that she moved towards the woods, which made authorities assume she was attacked by wild animals.

Weeks turned into months and her mother forced me to organize a funeral for my wife. I was reluctant, but I finally agreed. As we laid an empty coffin in the ground, I believed I would get the closure I needed badly, but that didn’t happen.

I missed my wife every second of every day. She was my world, and now she was no longer part of my life.

I would spend my days wandering around, hoping to see a familiar face but to no avail. Then one day, as I was having my morning coffee at the local coffee shop, I suddenly felt my arm going numb. The next thing I remember was collapsing on the ground and hearing a voice that I recognized asking me, “What color is the sky?”

When I woke up, I was at the hospital, calling Taylor’s name over and over again. And yes, she was there, looking at me with an odd expression on her face. “Are you my husband?” she asked.

In the days to come, she explained everything to me. She told me how a man named Alister found her and convinced her that the two were married. They lived in a secluded place, surrounded by few houses only and took care of a bunch of animals. She accepted that life as her own, but it was recently that she started remembering things.

When she saw me at the coffee shop that day, I looked familiar, and when I collapsed, she rushed to help me.

I told her about our life together and how I never loved anyone else. I never lost hope of finding her one day. The albums of our wedding day helped her remember even more.

But my wife wasn’t ready to be with me right away. She needed time to think about everything that had happened to her during the last 20 years.

We started slow. Coffee and lunch here and there, long conversations, and stolen glances that said more than words.

Eventually, we got back together and started our life all over. As of the man who lied to her, he was taken into custody. However, after he shared how his own wife died three years prior Taylor’s accident and he believed he was helping Taylor, she forgave him.

Why Richard Gere decided to leave the US and relocate to Spain

The American Gigolo star, Richard Gere, is saying his farewells to Hollywood.

75-year-old Gere revealed his plan to relocate to Madrid, Spain, with his wife Alejandra Silva and their children. The actor shared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that they are planning to move just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving there.

Speaking on why they decided to make the European move, Gere said, “My wife is Spanish and—is this a problem for anybody out there?” His words made some of the members of the audience gasp. “Of course I’ll be back!” he added.

According to him, his wife had given him an ultimatum about residing in the States and his time was up.

“My wife is Spanish and she gave me about seven years here, so we’re going to spend some years in Madrid,” he explained.

The actor further added that his children are bilingual and that they would “flourish” in Spain.

“My wife, she grew up in a very big Spanish family, like a big Italian family,” he laughed.

“Her grandmother was kind of the glue that held that altogether, and the grandmother passed away about a year and a half ago, two years ago.

“So my wife, I can see her morphing into the new grandmother of this extended family. She’s already planning for, you know, 35 people for Sunday lunches.”

Speaking to Vanity Fair Spain earlier this year, the Runaway Bride star confessed that a possible move to Spain would help him get out of his comfort zone. His wife would get to be close to her family and friends, and their kids would get to know the culture better.

“For me, going to Madrid is going to be a great adventure,” he confessed back in April. “Because I have never lived full-time outside the United States,” he told the magazine.

In October, Gere sold his home in Connecticut for $10.7 million. He previously purchased the six-bedroom property from Grammy-winning singer Paul Simon in 2022 for $10.8 million.

As a child, I saved a girl from a fire – Years later, I was shocked to see my childhood photo on my boss’s desk

The memories of that scary experience and the smoke of the flames burning my lungs has been something I could never fully forget. Chunks of that faithful day haunted me long after I acted by pure instinct and ran into the burning house in an attempt to save the girl whose calls for help echoed throughout the neighborhood from the fire.

I’m still haunted by my neighbor’s voice yelling, “I called help already, don’t get inside. You are going to die.”

But as a 12-year-old boy, I didn’t think of any consequences. Everything I could think of at that moment was to get inside the house.

As I tried to make my way through the tiny window, I could hear my favorite jersey tearing apart. The palms of my hands were burnt, and I kept asking for the child inside to guide me to her with her voice through the fire.

After what seemed like an eternity, I spotted her under a wooden desk.

“I’m scared,” she kept repeating over and over again. “I’m scared too,” I said. “But we are going to make it out alive.”

She clung to me with her tiny hands. I thought to myself, “This girl isn’t older than eight.”

As I tried to lift her towards the tiny window, a heard someone saying, “I have her.” That same guy then pulled me out of the window and I collapsed in the ground, trying hard to gasp some fresh air.

“You are bravest young man I have ever seen,” one of the firefighters said to me and put his hat on my head. In the next moment, I was on my feet, with the girl I saved in my embrace, posing for a photo that would turn that moment into eternity.

Twenty-three years later, I still thought of the girl. Following the incident, I have never heard of her again. I always wondered how her life turned out and whether she thought of me as much as I thought of her.

What I didn’t know was that our paths would cross again in the most unexpected way over two decades after that fire.

That day, after a successful presentation on my emergency response system prototype that made an impression at the executives, I was about to meet my new boss; a woman named Linda. She was known for her bold decisions and for taking risks. Those who worked with her described her as a strict woman committed to her job entirely.

Once I got out of the elevator, a huge room full of office cubicles stretched out before me. “Welcome Mr. Eric,” the woman at the reception greeted me. “Follow me, please,” she said and guided me towards the corner office.

I felt a bit nervous because I didn’t know what to expect, but the moment I entered that office, my heart raced even more. On the wall, a familiar picture caught my eye. It was the photo of me as a 12-year-old boy and that little girl whose life I saved from the fire.

All the memories came flooding back like a restless river.

Linda, my boss, asked me if everything was alright. With a shaky voice I asked her why she had that photo there and where did she find it. She took it and went through the frame with her fingers. It felt as though she had done it plenty of times before.

“That’s me,” I barely uttered. “And you are the girl whose life I saved. I wondered what happened to you,” I said.

Looking straight into my eyes, Linda said, “Oh my God, it’s really you. I could never forget your eyes.”

Over time, we bonded through our job and our past experience.

We fall for one another and one day, we went to the place where we first met; the place of the devastating fire. Now, the empty space was covered in flowers and grass.

“This is where all started,” Linda said. “And this is where our new life begins,” I said as I got on one knee and proposed to her.

My granddaughter stayed for the summer, but her suitcase made me call her mom in shock

My granddaughter wanted to spend the summer with me and my husband and we were excited to have her. Being just the two of us most of the year, Lily’s presence would come as a true refreshment.

I couldn’t wait to see how much she had grown during the past year. She was 13 already and being a teenager meant navigating new challenges. So, spending the summer with her granny and grandpa was supposed to be fun and relaxing, away from the school commitments and the pressures of teenage life.

When she finally arrived, I gave Lily a hug and asked her to give me her suitcase so I could unpack her. She thanked me and said she would go to the garden to see grandpa George.

When I started unpacking her, I was shocked by her clothes. There were no shirts and shorts of what I believed was normal and decent length. All I could see were tiny shorts and crop tops. On top of that, there were some perfumes and plenty of make-up.

“Why would a 13-year-old need make-up?” I thought to myself.

Worried, I decided to give my daughter Emily a call.

“Hey, mom,” she said with excitement. “Is Lily settling in?”

“Emily, we need to talk,” I said with a serious tone of voice. “I have just gone through Lily’s clothes. Her short look more like underwear than actual clothing,” I said, concerned. “Why would you let her wear something like this?”

Emily laughed. She said she didn’t like the way her daughter dressed either, but it was what everyone her age wore. “Times have changed, ma,” Emily said, assuring me that those outfits were the new normal among teenagers.

I couldn’t wrap my mind around Emily’s words. But she was Lily’s mother and she probably knew what was best for her daughter, so I let it go.

Later that day, as Lily was spending time in the garden, my husband made a comment about Lily’s outfit and asked if we should do something about it.

“I have talked to Emily already and she didn’t seem to mind her daughter’s style,” I said. “We better not interfere any further.”

But George convinced me to talk to Lily that night, and I listened to him.

When I entered Lily’s room, she was reading her book and welcomed me in.

I asked her what was about her clothes and she said that all her friends dressed that way and she just wanted to fit in.

I understood her, and asked her not to let lose herself following trends.

My granddaughter assured me she wouldn’t, saying she was the same Lily from before, only her style has changed.

Thinking about it, I realized that times have really changed, and my Lily only wanted to be trendy. Then I remembered how my own mother went mad when I was young and asked her to get me some go-go boots.

I shared that story with my granddaughter and she laughed, asking to see me wear those go-go boots. I got some old photo albums that she enjoyed flipping the pages of.

One of them showed George’s handlebar mustache from the 70s. “What were you thinking grandpa,” Lily laughed. “That was fashionable back then,” George answered as he patted Lily on the head.

The next day, when Lily and I were making my famous apple pie and George peeled the apples for us, he and I looked at each other and secretly agreed that no matter what she wore, Lily was still our loving granddaughter. Her character, her kindness, and her respect and love for us remained the same.

My father kicked me out for his 35-year-old stepson who wanted my room, but karma struck back

I was deep into my books at the university library when my phone rang. It was my father. I could sense something wasn’t right because he never called me to chat. “Come home right away,” he said, and before I had the chance to ask what was going on, he hung up on me.

I was tense and hurried towards my car while my books kept slipping from my hands.

Before I knew, I was at my dad’s doorstep, wondering what was so urgent.

He opened the door and as I entered I saw my stepmom, Linda, and her son, Jacob sitting on the couch.

“Listen Emma,” my father started speaking. “Jacob needs a place to stay for a while and since his old room is now Linda’s office, he’ll be taking your room.”

His words came as a shock to me. “But dad, where would I stay then?”

“You are a smart girl, Emma, you can live on the campus. You’ll figure something out.”

But no, I couldn’t live on campus full-time because I had to study and I barely found time for my part-job that was supposed to help me save up some money for the following semester. But my dad didn’t seem to care.

He was more concerned for his 35-year-old stepson who had wasted every chance ever given to him by my dad and my step-mom.

Devastated but determined to navigate throughout the rough period that followed, I found another job. I spent my days working and studied during the nights. I could barely stand on my feet, but I knew I needed to show everyone that I would succeed.

Over time, I managed to save up some money and rented a small apartment at the outskirts of the city. I was incredibly proud of myself.

One day, as I was getting ready for university, I got a call from my stepmom. She sounded worried and as though she was crying. “Emma, please come home, we lost the house.”

She didn’t tell me any details, but I could sense Jacob was behind whatever happened to my parents’ home.

And I was right. When I arrived, a scene of wreckage unfolded in front of my eyes. The house burnt down and firefighters were trying to save whatever belongings they could.

My father, with tears rolling down his eyes, said he was sorry for taking my room from me. If hadn’t done it, none of this would have happened.

It turned out Jacob threw a party while my dad and Linda were at the lake and one of his friends was smoking and accidentally set the curtains on fire.

“You made your choices, dad,” I said. But still, I felt sorry for him and Linda who begged me to help them as they dealt with the aftermath of the fire and worked out the insurance and rebuilding plans.

Part of me wanted to let them deal with the mess they created themselves, but another part knew I needed to help them.

My apartment was small, but it was all I could offer and we managed to find a rhythm. I told my dad and Linda that I wanted to be treated with the respect I deserved.

On the weekends, the three of us went at the site and saw the new house being built brick by brick, as slowly and as steadily as our relationship.

I overheard my MIL saying, ‘She won’t find out who you really are’ while babysitting my son

From the moment my son Ethan was welcomed into the world, my MIL showed affection towards him, but that affection could easily be mistaken with obsession.

She convinced me she could take care of him better than I could because I was an inexperienced new mom. I didn’t think much about it and I didn’t get mad because I knew she loved him and wanted to spend as much time with him as possible.

Over time, however, her comments started bothering me. She criticized the way I fed him and kept repeating that he looked exactly like her son.

One day, she said Ethan resembled someone she had known forever. These words gave me chills, but I tried not to think about what she had to say.

When I was about to return to work and said I needed to hire a babysitter, my husband’s mom offered to babysit him. Although I felt uneasy, I still agreed because I knew that beside her awkward behavior around him, she loved him.

One day, I finished work earlier than usual and decided to buy some cookies and go home to my MIL, Margaret, and Ethan.

As I approached the nursery, I saw her cradling him in the rocking chair. But just as I was about to greet them, I heard her saying, “Don’t worry… She won’t find out who you really are.”

I felt chills going down my spine. What was she talking about?

“You’ll always be safe with me,” she continued. “I won’t let her ruin this. She doesn’t know, and she never will.”

“Margaret,” I said. “What have you just said?”

“Oh, I was just talking to Ethan,” she answered, aware I heard her words.

“What do you mean I won’t know who he really is? Tell me right away.”

Margaret felt overwhelmed. Realizing I wouldn’t let go, she reached to her purse and handed me an old photo of two newborn babies wrapped in matching blankets.

“Who are these babies, Margaret,” I asked in confusion.

It was then that my MIL told me my husband had a twin brother who only lived for three days.

The photo showed my husband, Peter, and his late twin brother James.

“But Peter never told me he had a brother,” I said. “That’s because he doesn’t know that. I didn’t want him to live with that pain,” Margaret said.

She believed Ethan was her late son James. She claimed he came to her again and asked me not to take that from her.

“You don’t understand. I lost James. And now, I have him back,” she said.

I told her her relationship with my son wasn’t a healthy one, but she wouldn’t listen.

Not knowing what to do, I asked her to leave and told Peter everything that night.

He was shocked. It was the first time he heard he had a twin brother. We both agreed that Margaret needed professional help.

The next day, we invited her over and told her she needed to start seeing a therapist if she ever wanted to be around Ethan again.

Both Peter and I were aware that my MIL carried her grief in her heart for so long.

“When I look at Ethan, I see James. I can’t help it. It’s like… it’s like he’s back,” she said, but agreed to start teraphy.

It took some time before Margaret was able to face her issue. The weight she carried began to lift, and she slowly saw Ethan for who he truly was.

Eventually, I was confident with leaving Ethan with her.

Margaret thanked me for giving her a chance to heal.

How I lost my husband for 17 years and found him again

My husband and I were high-school sweethearts. We married young and he was my whole world. But one day, after a trip to the mountains, he simply vanished.

I first met Patrick on the first day of high-school. My family moved places and I was the new girl in the neighborhood.

As I walked towards the classroom, some girls started teasing me, but he stood up for me and offered to walk me to math class.

I felt like it was love at first sight, and I somehow sensed he felt the same.

At 18, we tied the knot, and soon after, I fell pregnant with our baby daughter. Shortly after giving birth, he enlisted in the army and was deployed to a foreign country. At 22, he returned home and life felt complete again.

One day, as we had breakfast together, he said some of his friends asked him to go mountain hiking with them. He was eager to spend some time outdoors, so I told him she should go and have some fun, not assuming that he wouldn’t return in the next 17 years.

That day felt like an eternity as hours passed by and my husband hadn’t returned.

The following day, the police started an extensive search. Days turned into weeks, but there was no sign of Patrick.

My world collapsed. I had no idea if he was alive or not, but I never lost hope.

Authorities said they believed there was an avalanche that claimed Patrick’s life, but without a body it was something I couldn’t accept as a reality.

Fifteen years after Patrick went missing, I met someone. Toni was a kind man who knew that my husband had been missing.

At the time, I still felt like I wasn’t ready to start anything with him, but over time we bonded and started dating. We even welcomed a son together but we didn’t marry.

Today, at 68, we are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.

My dad’s revelation about my wife after his coma changed everything

My dad and my wife never got along, but when he had an accident and fell into coma, she always accompanied me to the hospital. We would bring flowers and would spend hours talking to him, hoping he could hear us.

It wasn’t just my wife and I who visited dad. My mom, my daughter, and my brother were also there.

We prayed for his recovery because he was our rock, the most important person in our lives, and someone we could always rely on no matter how hard things got.

Weeks passed by, and just as we started losing hope that he would ever come back, he squeezed my mom’s hand.

It was a good sign and the first step towards his full recovery.

Eventually, he woke up from coma.

We couldn’t be prouder of the fighter he was.

Once he was able to speak, although slowly and not understandably at first, we were eager to learn what he had seen while he wasn’t awake. With a quiet voice, he said, “Your wife was here,” and looked straight at Leah, my wife.

She seemed to freeze. It was as though she wasn’t expecting my dad to reveal something like that.

“I know that dad,” I said. “She was always here with me.”

“No,” my dad barely uttered. “She was here with Jared.”

Jared was my brother, and as per my dad’s words, while was in coma my wife and my brother visited him together, and I was not aware about that.

Leah opened her mouth, but she couldn’t say anything. “I…” she said.

Jared looked like he was in pain as he touched the back of his neck. He tried making a joke in order to change the conversation, but no one laughed.

“What is going on,” I asked as I turned to Leah.

Leah said that she felt the urge to speak to my father, hoping he could hear her and Jared only helped her make things right with him following years of estrangement. She regretted all the arguments she had with my dad, and now that he was in coma, she was afraid she wouldn’t have a chance to say sorry.

Jared confirmed her story.

My dad looked at me and said, “Son, there is more to the story…”

I begged him to tell me everything, and he said Leah really tried to bond with him. She spoke to him about football and read sports magazines to him. She shared aspects of her personal life and repeated many times how sorry she was for the feuds.

My dad then said that he saw a side of Leah he never knew existed.

I was relieved.

My family was finally in the place it was always meant to be.

‘Daddy has a picture of her:’ Our daughter yelled during family dinner

A long lost connection was restored during what seemed to be an ordinary family dinner when my daughter revealed that her dad had a picture of her new teacher in his drawer.

The new town where we moved recently is a picturesque place; the one you believe only exists in the movies. We bought a nice home and our children seemed to settle in perfectly.

Our seven-year-old daughter Lily, who wouldn’t stop talking about her new school, shared plenty of stories about her newly-made friends. One night, during dinner time, she mentioned her mathematics teacher, Mrs. Willis. “She’s great,” Lily said, “and dad has a picture of her in his office’s drawer.”

Lily then continued eating her ice-cream with a delight on her face, but her words filled the place with awkward silence. Not wanting to ruin the dessert, I turned to my husband, Jim, and asked him if he would be kind enough to show me that picture.

He was as confused as I was and asked Lily about the picture. She said she would show it to us herself once she finished with her favorite dessert.

Jim barely spoke a word.

Following dinner, the three of us went to Jim’s home office and Lily pulled the framed photo of a woman I had never seen before. She handed it to Jim and he asked, “Is this your teacher!?”

Lily said, yes. That was Mrs. Willis, but why did Jim have a picture of her?

I didn’t say anything, letting him start a conversation. Once Lily was asleep, he broke down in tears and asked me if I remember that he was adopted and that he and his little sister were separated when they were just five and four.

I said sure. How could I forget.

Jim then told me that he had been doing a research on his sister’s adoption, trying to find her all those years, and he believed the woman on the photo was her. He found the picture in a magazine, when he stumbled upon an article about mathematics competition. There were similarities in his and that woman’s life stories.

I encouraged him to talk to her, and although Jim was hesitant because he was afraid of heartbreak, he still decided that we go to the school.

Once there, we asked to talk to Mrs. Willis. She was a kind woman who greeted us and asked if there was something she could do for us, reminding us that her next class was starting in a matter of minutes.

“I think you are my sister,” Jim said out of the blue. “Are you adopted?” he asked.

Mrs. Willis was confused. She said she was adopted, but she didn’t remember having a brother. The only thing she remembered from the time she was four was a raggedy teddy bear and her birth certificate.

“When were you born,” Jim asked, hoping the date would ring a bell.

Mrs. Willis shared her birth date and her place of birth, and Jim knew she was his long-lost sister.

Our conversation was interrupted by the school bell. Confused and lost for words, Mrs. Willis excused herself and entered one of the classrooms.

The following day, she contacted Jim and apologized for leaving. She talked to her adoptive parents and they told her that she indeed had a brother, giving her a picture of the two when they were still very young. Jim had the same picture. It was among his belongings when he was welcomed into the new family.

It was the start of a restored connection, a bond that has been growing stronger and stronger with each passing day.

When we told Lily that her new teacher was her aunt, she was over the moon. In the days to come, she met her cousins and our family grew bigger in the most unexpected way possible.

Father conducts DNA analysis on son due to lack of resemblance, wife gathers family for results reveal

Recounting her five-year relationship with her husband, one woman took to Reddit to share her story and the events that led her to hesitate between staying in the marriage or starting over as a single mother of a son.

From the moment their precious baby boy was born, her husband’s mother kept making comments about the child’s appearance, mentioning over and over again that the little one didn’t resemble her son.

Despite the woman’s efforts to stay collected, her husband’s failure to defend her and her son against his mother’s pushy behavior made her feel devastated.

“For a while now [my MIL] has been making comments about how my son doesn’t look like my husband when he was a toddler. Basically accusing me of sleeping around. This, rightfully so upset me,” the woman wrote on the platform.

Even though she was in emotional turmoil and fiercely denying the accusations, the woman’s husband remained passive, failing to stand for her. His lack of action and support caused a rift between them, leading her to distance herself emotionally because she didn’t feel respected.

The breaking point came when he mentioned he wanted a DNA test. It wasn’t that he suspected the child was his but he wanted to please his mother. This decision came out of the blue and shattered the woman’s heart into a million pieces. She couldn’t believe the audacity of her husband’s request but she still agreed to do the test.

However, while they awaited the results, she was already determined to leave her husband because his request was an outrageous insult to her integrity. She sought legal advice and searched for a new home for herself and her son.

The DNA test results, expected in just a few days, promised to provide confirmation, and she intended to pair them with divorce papers.

She didn’t make this decision just to protect herself and her integrity, but also to protect her son from a future overshadowed by resentment. Having experienced a toxic upbringing when she was a child herself, the woman was determined not to let her son go through the same and be part of a dysfunctional household.

Doing the laundry was solely my chore, but what I never expected was to face something larger than stains – a letter that ruined my marriage.

It was a night like any other. I prepared dinner, did the dishes, and went to the laundry room. It was something that I secretly enjoyed. My minutes of silence while I was sorting the clothes. However, the night turned into a nightmare when I found a handwritten letter in my husband’s laundry. It was an elegantly folded letter that slipped from between the folds and fall on the floor.

When I opened it, I recognized my husband’s handwriting, but the words written in that piece of paper weren’t meant for me.

“Happy anniversary, babe! These 7 years have been the best of my life! Meet me at Obélix on Wednesday night, 8 p.m. Be in red.” The problem was that David and I had been married for eighteen years.

My mind raced at the thought of him having another woman in his life.

All of a sudden, I remembered all the late comings, his occasional stays at hotels for the purpose of work, and his believable excuses.

The truth was that I never suspected he could be cheating on me. I trusted him with all my heart.

The following day I went to see if the letter was still there, but it was nowhere to be seen.

Not knowing what to do, I called my mother and asked her for advice. She said I needed to be bold and confront him. But I had another plan. That evening, when he told me he was staying late at work but was instead meeting his other wife, I hired a nanny, put on the red dress David bought me a couple of years ago, which still fit perfectly, and headed towards the fancy restaurant.

David hadn’t taken me out to such an exclusive place in years, saying we should be saving money.

When I entered, I noticed a woman in red, assuming she was my husband’s other wife.

I sat on the next table, my back facing her.

When David entered, he had a huge smile on his face. He was happy to see the woman he wrote that letter to.

It took some time before I stood up and said “hi” to my husband.

When I first met Matt, he seemed like the most genuine person there was. We clicked right away and what started as a friendship turned into affection and later love, at least from my side.

We dated for a couple of months before he proposed. I said ‘yes’ and felt like the happiest person.

The truth was I had a well-paid job and I could afford little luxuries now and then. And now, getting married would mean my life would be complete. Matt’s requests to borrow him money he always promised to give back with his next paycheck didn’t bother me at first. We were building a future together and I trusted him.

However, his relationship with my mother-in-law, Linda, was an odd one. He was always overly concerned for her and always took her side, saying she was the woman who raised him.

Those little “loans” were often for getting her various gifts, most of which she didn’t even like, like the microwave we got her recently. Instead of saying “thank you,” she asked why we didn’t get her a smart one. But, as I felt offended by her comments, Matt assured me it was nothing and that I was overreacting.

He and I were saving for a house, the same one we rented for a couple of years. The truth was that I had saved way more, and the contract being on his name wasn’t a big deal because in case of divorce we would both get 50-50 of all our assets.

However, on the way we were about to sign the contract, Matt felt uneasy. Instead of being happy, he seemed worried and asked me if we could postpone. This didn’t sound real to me. We have been waiting for this day for so long, and he wasn’t ready.

When I asked him what was wrong, he said his mother was sick, and he couldn’t proceed with signing the contract for the new house knowing she was home all by herself. I asked if there was something I could do, and he told me there was. I could bring her a few slices of the lasagna I made.

His mom loved my lasagna, so I thought I could stop by her place and bring her some.

On my way to her house, my lawyer called me and told me to return home right away.

Not being aware of what was going on, the lawyer, Sarah, said Matt and Linda were in my house, trying to sign the contract of the purchase on her name.

At that moment, my world collapsed. I refused to believe the man I loved was capable of such a thing.

She seemed like a nice person. Her care for my kids seemed genuine and I was glad she bonded with them easily. If she was to be part of their lives, she better be a great step-mom.

As the night proceeded, my ex-husband handed me a gift. It was for my birthday, which was rather strange because my birthday was a month ago.

I just took it and smiled, and his new girlfriend winked at me. It was then that I realized she was the one who made him buy it.

The truth is, my ex was someone who never cared about birthdays, anniversaries, or any other important dates. However, over time, I stopped being bother by his carelessness over what I believed was significant, as remembering those dates. But, his new girlfriend wasn’t glad because of that.

Later that night, I received a text message from the my husband’s ex-girlfriend, Lisa.

She said she got the number from my ex and wanted to talk more about the topic we touched during the party. “I know this is awkward, but I wanted to know if Ben ever improve when it comes to birthdays and anniversaries? I don’t want to make a fuss about it, but I am really bothered,” she wrote.

Honestly, I didn’t think I should interfere so I wrote that he’s my ex for a reason and that I wasn’t the one to answer that. I didn’t know if he would ever change and it was something they should have figured out themselves.

Few months passed by and I got a call from Ben. He told me he and Lisa broke up over something insignificant such as him forgetting their anniversary.

“I think I’m on the mend, but these things always take a bit time to get rid of,” the queen said. “You think you’ve got rid of it, then they just sort of hang on for a little bit, but hopefully I’m on the mend now.”

Queen Camilla also missed the Royal Film Performance of Gladiator II, leaving her husband to walk the red carpet by himself.

The King and the Queen took a trip to Australia and Samoa. Following it, Charles resumed his cancer treatment, and Camilla was left to rest and fight the chest infection caused by a bug.

The 78-year-old Duchess of Gloucester, Birgitte, stepped in on Camilla’s behalf at the annual opening of the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey on November 7.

“While this is a source of great disappointment to the queen, she will mark the occasion privately at home and hopes to return to public duties early next week,” a palace aide said.

Camilla was also expected to host a reception at Buckingham Palace for Olympic and Paralympic athletes, but her husband stepped in and hosted the event instead.
