Trump’s son Eric says his dad is the “most beloved political figure in U.S. history”

Former president Donald Trump is the only U.S. president or other federal official to be impeached twice. The second impeachment trial against him is to commence on February 9, 2021. The New York Times reported that The House adopted one article of impeachment against Trump: incitement of insurrection, and charged him with “high crimes and misdemeanors” for inciting the storming of the Capitol in Washington, D.C.

According to his children, however, this whole thing is an unjust by those who want see their dad fail.

Eric, Trump’s son, has been under the spotlight these days after his claims that his father is the most beloved political figure in history reached Internet and magazines.

Speaking with Fox News pro-Trump commentator Sean Hannity, Eric claimed his father had nothing to do with the Capitol riots and accused the democrats of “manufacturing everything under the sun against my father, against all of us. They do it every single day.”

“They continue to do it. Even when he’s a private citizen, they’re still trying to impeach him,” Eric added.

Of course, a son standing for his father isn’t something strange or unusual, but Eric presenting Trump as the most beloved political figure is unjustified based on the number of polls that emerged during his one-term presidency. According to reports, Trump is the first president since before World War Two not to manage an average rating of over 50%.

However, Trump remains a very popular figure among the Republican Party with many being convinced he will run again for president in 2024.

Recently, Eric took a trip to Scotland after The Scottish Green Party attempted to probe the Trump family golf courses. Speaking of this matter, Eric said: “At a critical time when politicians should be focused on saving lives and reopening businesses in Scotland, they are focused on advancing their personal agendas.”

“The Trump Organisation has invested hundreds of millions of dollars into the Scottish economy, rescued Turnberry, and rebuilt it into one of the finest resorts anywhere in the world.

“In both Aberdeen and Turnberry, the Trump Organisation has created thousands of jobs and has made an overwhelming contribution to the leisure and tourism industry,” Eric added.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you believe Trump deserves to be considered a beloved history figure?
